Heartbeeps
Is this movie secretly the descent of luck story for Russell Casse in Independence Day? Perhaps the story of a distant Killbot relative striking out on its own trying to get a career started for itself? In the famous words of a meme, why not both?

Lisa Frankenstein (2024) will be a classic once it hits streaming
Lisa Frankenstein (2024) is the first major release from Zelda Williams and it is weird, dark, and smart as hell. It’s an amalgamation of the Beetlejuice/Edward Scissorhands era of movies but fresh and dynamic and distinct. Honestly, once the film hits a streamer I think it will invade popular thought so freaking hard.
So … let’s start with a baseline. Here’s the IMDB:
A coming of RAGE love…

Rewatched PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE (1974) today, and my admiration in this blog post still stands. It's a fantastic movie with outstanding performances from its stars and haunting music.

You know, even though online horror right now is very over saturated. I can absolutely not bring myself to shit on it and call it all bad with no merit because 95% of the people rn making this bad content are kids or beginner writers that have such a love and passion for horror because of the good stuff that they really want to participate in it. And you know what I think that’s beautiful, is most of it bad and played out and corny? Definitely, but I enjoyed and wrote creepypasta as a kid so I have zero legs to stand on.

Tromeo and Juliet
This movie comes off the way Shakespeare haters feel when they’re forced to endure Shakespeare in general. It’s a movie that’s loosely based on Willy Shakes’ story “Romeo and Juliet”, though parts of me want to say it’s as loosely based, as Juliet’s dad is not a loose cannon. So it’s generally pretty on. He’s not right in the head.

Well, now. Boy howdy, what a movie! Okay, so I recently watched Pets (1973) for the first time and, wow, it’s bizarre. Probably because it feels like three increasingly disturbing vignettes strung together to form a strange, road-trip-style movie. This disarming oddness is part of what makes it a memorably strange cult film. However, the main reason you’ll never forget Pets is because of leading lady Candice “Candy” Rialson’s bravura star turn as an aimless, smoking hot drifter named Bonnie.
