What are Ice and Mav up to in the present day? Did they participate in Barbenheimer? As Navy men did they get caught up in the sea shanty craze of a few years ago? Are they vaccinated? Have they ever gone on a <s>gay</s> cruise?

4. Yes happily but: do not talk to mav about covid politics you will regret it
5. No. who tf wants to go on a cruise especially a.) during global pandemic b.) when you’re retired high ranking officers in the us navy & one of you literally is an ace and bombed another country and the other one of you is literally thefucking secretary of the navy. No

So. Sooooooooo. So so so so so.
Did you and Kakashi have ~fun~ last night?
-🍡
If by ~fun~ you mean I got absolutely hammered, had a break down and threw up in the bushes, and fell asleep on his shoulder curled up with his fluffiest ninken? …yes.

For all its flaws, I genuinely think there are few works out there quite like Touhou, which isn’t just a fantasy work but is a work about the meaning of fantasy, and folklore, and how people and societies derive meaning from the mythical and fantastical
Only other obvious example would be Discworld, which I still need to read someday

The first time Sera met Manu, he was sixteen and she was thirteen.
“This is the enemy. Never forget that,” her mother informed her, ushering a black-haired, dirty-faced teenage boy into their home before unceremoniously forcing him to his knees on the decorated, mosaic floor of the atrium. He wore a simple black uniform, soiled and torn, its only splash of color the metallic silver of the zips and the bronze-gold shoulder pads — and, of course, the circular insignia sewn onto the sleeve of his upper arm. It read the words: SS Puget Sound.
Sera, who had been studying Federation starships as part of her schooling and by extension cultural indoctrination, did not recognise the name.
“Yes, Mother,” is what Sera said, but what she actually thought was: He doesn’t look like the enemy. He looks like us. A southerner, that was. He lacked the distinctive forehead ridges to be compared to a northerner. The only other differences between the two of them, Sera noted, was that his ears were round instead of elegant and pointed, and that his skin was absent of any green undertone, which indicated that his blood must not be copper based.
The boy looked up at her, then. His body trembled slightly, but defiance burned hot in his brown eyes. Whatever he was afraid of, Sera deduced, it certainly wasn’t them.
“Ah, excellent! Most excellent indeed,” her father exclaimed as he came walking into their stately home, wearing his blue-grey senator’s robes. “I see that you have met Manu. He is to be our new household servant and my imperial cupbearer.”
“You mean our new servi privati,” her mother corrected, looking down her nose at Manu with a stern, disapproving look.
“Well… I, for one, would much rather look at his face all day than a Reman’s,” Sera remarked. She then moved towards Manu and took him by the arm, not ungently, pulling him to his feet. He was a good few inches taller than she was and Sera now had to tilt her head to look up at him. “Come with me,” Sera instructed, leading Manu away from her parents, who doubtless had words to exchange — heated from her mother and diplomatic from her father — about taking a Hevam boy into their service. Her words as much a guise to escape being dragged into the political debate as much as it was to sate her own burgeoning curiosity about the boy who now purposefully walked beside her.
The Romulan Way: a prime timeline variation inspired by MKS57's fic in which the ritual of "the last one" is actually the last male and female, except where La'an's Mark IV liferaft drifted into Federation space, Manu's drifted into Romulan space instead.

Does the Ghost Boys go back to their Parents/Families? Or do they stay under the Blake household?
If they do return to their families, how do their families react to having their son/child back and having a second chance in life?
-Ghostkid
Interesting question and I think I answered something similar a while back and that link is here but,
yes, the boys do eventually go home to their parents and try to readjust back to their normal lives. Also in no way shape or form would Terrance adopt six boys when he’s already got a strained relationship with the one he’s already got. Griffin was the exemption because both Gwen and Finn insisted he be under his care.
But how their parents react to their children being “rescued” is varying,
Vance’s parents: Couldn’t care less, they really didn’t care if he showed up dead or alive. They are very abusive to Vance, his dad is a drunk and his mother is emotionally distant from him.
Bruces parents: Were extremely happy to have their son back, they are very supportive and try their best to accommodate Bruce. Amy was overjoyed to have her brother back even if it isn’t the Bruce she remembers.
Billy’s parents: His parents were also very happy to have him back. However they did get a divorce, but they co-parent and are very loving towards their son after what happened in the basement much like the Yamadas.
Robins parent: Like both the Showalters, and Yamadas, Mrs. Arellano was sobbing and clutching her son and never wanted to let him go. She and her brother do their best to help Robin.
Griffins parents: Weren’t there to even pick him up from the scene/ police station, they kinda never wanted him and when he was presumed dead they hitched out of town, further prompting led to him being adopted into the Blake’s.
Also none of the parents know their child was in fact dead for a period of time, the police in regards to this whole mess spun the story that the boys were being kept alive in the basement and that the grabber simply decided to keep them for himself. This of course never happened but it’s simply a fabrication of the truth. Only the detectives on the case, the boys and Finn’s dad know the truth.

My hottest Casualty take is that Mary/Duffy, no matter how absurd and specific to my brain it may be as a ship, is far superior to a certain other F/F doctor and nurse ship involving two current characters…
