About the Possible Deterioration that the curse of Inmortality had on Khaenri'ahns (TL;DR)
CLARIFITACION: This thread was written just after the Caribert Archon Quest came out, and also when I was still an student in Psychology.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The effects of the curse started to gain my interest since we got the Caribert Archon Quest, because they remind me a bit of neurocognitive disorders.
Tumblr media
First off, I'll use the knowledge I've obtained during my Psychology career, and the sources that were given to me during that time.
Even so, I'd still need an specific specialization to talk confidently about this topic.
So because this is not my specialized field of research, I'll be talking from the knowledge and point of view from when I used to be an student.
I'm open to feedback by any expert in the topic<3
By the way, I'll use the "ND" abrevitation to refer to neurocognitive disorders.
And I'll also use the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (5th ed). I would use the DSM-5 TR (most updated edition) but I still need to get it
If I ever use other sources, I'll add them around the thread.
Tumblr media
First, what are neurocognitive disorders?
In the most simple definition ever, neurocognitive disorders are a group of disorders that affect: memory; behavior; attention; learning; decision making; perception; movement; & language.
These disorders usually happen to older adults by longevity, but they can also be obtained by younger people. The causes can be for genetics, accidents or other unkwown causes.
The thing is, Chlotar had symptoms of these kind of disorders.
Of course we can't classify him with an specific disorder because the symptoms are quite vague, and also I don't have any kind of specialization on the area of neuropsychology.
Tumblr media
Still, we can detect some of the symptoms and understand a bit better in what consists the curse of inmortality.
Along the quest, Dainsleif says that his memory wasn't fully functional due to his long period of existence; here we have a problem with memory, a symptom of ND.
There's a possibility that Dainsleif is actually presenting symptoms of dissociative disorder. People with this disorder tend to live in a constant state of alert, making them to not be totally present during their daily lives; this results in them not remembering important or regular stuff, because their mind were not completely present at the time.
This case can be seen in memories that are partially or totally forgotten.
I'm not really sure if Dainslei actually went through this disorder, but the possibility is there; it seems (not confirmed) that Dainsleif had to endure 500 years in constant danger of the abyss, making him be in a constant state of alert all the time.
Tumblr media
If Chlotar is being serious about this, then here we can find two symptoms of ND: motor skills; & I would also add facial recognition because supposedly he wasn't able to recognize his son, but to be honest his son is a hillichurl & it's totally understandable that he can't distinguish between hillischurls.
Tumblr media

CONTEXT: On Twitter I wrote about making this an on-going thread, so that when we learn new information about the curse, I be able to add it into the thread.

It's funnier if there's times they remember their original lifetime and both Arthur and Morgana are giving Merlin shit like: hey old man, you sure you can still fight?
And Merlin is so over it he sends them both back to the tutorial screen
Ok but have we ever considered a merlin Zelda au?? The triforce being represented by Morgana (power), merlin (wisdom), and Arthur (courage). Before Morgana dies she curses herself and Arthur to forever reincarnate, in each life they fight. In each life Arthur finds merlin and they stop her. Arthur and Morgana don't remember but merlin has lived through it all forever with the memory of how it started and knowing it can never end.

Everything Demeter does is so valid.
Made a man eat himself? Well, he shouldn't had cut that tree in the first place. I would also kill a man if he dared to cut down a over 10,000+ year old tree. That thing is sacred and anyone who cuts down one of them gentle giants deserves the curses of mother nature.
Put the world thru winter? Go off queen. Go take a vacation from your duties while also sticking it up to your daughter's kidnapper (+ your two other dumbass brothers)
Make love with some random at someone's else wedding? Doing it in the middle of a field? Such a hopeless romantic. She's so poetic fr
Cooking a baby to make him inmortal? She's so good with children!! Mother of the year!!!
Creating the wheelchair? Based. An ally to folks with dissabilities
Demeter is the best and i won't take any slander of her in my house

Hihii!! I have this little doubt about the AU (specifically, in an angst view)
Bill will eventually see Ford die? Since Ford is a mortal, that means he will die someday. Or Bill does something to maintain him inmortal??
Tbh what bill plan is, when that day ford dying he'll curse him immediately but idk if he ever able to do it cuz it also will like betray the trust or something . So he really need to convince ford while he still alive!

I found that my landlord had got a letter from the Count, directing him to secure the best place on the coach for me; but on making inquiries as to details he seemed somewhat reticent, and pretended that he could not understand my German.
The reaction, and following actions of the old romanian couple after learning that the Count placed the responsability of securing Jonathan's travel to the castle on them is a true testament on the horror limbo that these people have been living for god knows how long.
An inmortal, and monstruos man lives inside the countryside in luxury untouched by time itself orders you to secure transportation for this young man, barely an adult in what matters who has traveled so far, to meet what you know will be his death. A being that should be a myth is forcing your hand to guide the son of another mother to an early grave, an end that is waiting for him outside of the walls of your inn.
He and his wife, the old lady who had received me, looked at each other in a frightened sort of way... When I asked him if he knew Count Dracula, and could tell me anything of his castle, both he and his wife crossed themselves, and, saying that they knew nothing at all, simply refused to speak further.
How many times has this happened? How many young people have dissapeared one day without leaving a single trace while everyone has to force ignorance within their brains less the terror makes them unable to keep going. Worse, even if the young english man, all bright eyed and full of life, says That Name out loud you can't chastice him for such mistake because he simply doesn't know what he is calling, and the only thing that you can do is close your eyes to pray for his soul.
However, sometimes the horror is so overwhelming that another answer comes out, a last ray of hope that could change the course of what seems to be written in stone. A simple hand extending in frightened kindness for a fellow human being.
"Must you go? Oh! young Herr, must you go?"
This old woman, this old lady who has and still lives under the terror of the Count decides to try. She tries, and tries to convince Jonathan to not go, to not leave to walk to the jaws of the beast, or to at least wait for a day or two because everything is pointing to what seems to be the inevitable. Moreover, when her pleads are futile at the end, she still dares to gift Jonathan a rosary, a small protection against that cursed being who laughs at the face of everything that makes her human.
She saw, I suppose, the doubt in my face, for she put the rosary round my neck, and said, "For your mother's sake," and went out of the room.
This old lady not only sees Jonathan the young man who is just starting his life, she sees a mother waiting for any news of her son coming home. She sees a poor woman trying to find anything that could tell her an answer of whenever her son is alive or dead, while being unable to both live and grieve.
The old lady doesn't know if Jonathan will survive his duty. In fact I could pressume how her guilt of knowing that the rosary on itself is still not enough to ward off the Count made her leave the room, but she still tried to hold on the hope that this time, maybe this time, there won't be another young soul buried in the soil.

I keep imagining Would You fall in love with me again with Merthur and it’s making me cry so now I’m sharing that with you
What have I done to you?! 🥺Why would you do this to me?! 😭🤧
Now I'm thinking of Merlin falling in love with every reencarnation of Arthur that exists over and over again. And how he has to relive the pain of losing him over and over again, but it's all worth cause is Arthur, but it doesn't make it less painful.
Plus I remembered a story I read years ago about just that, a man cursed with inmortality and falling in love with every reencarnation of his love and how this love only remembered all his past lifes when he was dying. Now I'm imagining that with merthur and IS KILLING ME!
So thank very much. Now, if you excuse, I'll throw myself out of a window :)

Salut! I hope my request is not too strange !
Can you write a Achilles x reader where the reader is a minor godess send by Thetis to protect Achilles ? And maybe calm him ? And she start having feelings for him but denied them because she is a godess and he is a mortal ? (Don't write it if it's too weird, and good luck ! Juste wanted to say that i loved your Briseis fic )
Hi!!!
Thank you so much! Your request is perfectly good and something I can definitely write.
Partícularly for me, i feel Troy (2004) often replicates the Lord of the Rings films atmosphere of a mythical age that has perished, but is not completely extinguished. I see that in the way the characters speak of the gods or even in the political conflicts. When Agamemnon says " Achilles is the past" what it really feels for me he is saying is " Achilles is the Age of Heroes, and I am the start of recorded history."
For so, I am up to include the mythical elements in my fics. With the exception of Achilles' mom, since we do see her, the greek gods in Troy are kinda like the Valar in LOTR. Not present in sight, but felt in the narrative through actions of the mortal characters if you dig deep enough.
That being said, and forgive me for rambling, this concept is perfect to write a fic about :)

Beyond Duty, Beyond Limits - Achilles x Goddess!Reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: Forbidden mortal x inmortal where the inmortal denies herself because she behaves like a guardian. Reader replaces Athena talking on his mind lotr elf-style so he won't kill Agamemnon.
Summary: Enraged by the insults of Agamemnon, Achilles hides in his tent after your divine intervention stopped him from taking a more dangerous course of action. You attempt to bring him calm and an explanation, but he reads in you more than what you can admit.
Note: Dividers by @saradika-graphics
Tumblr media
He could have killed the King, but the soft whisper of your voice in his mind stopped the blade. Achilles didn't have much respect for any other inmortal that wasn't his mother, but he learned to recognize you always came to him in behalf of her.
A rankless sea deity under the Nereids had more influence on him than the Olympians themselves. It could be said that them probably shared the impression of Agamemnon seeing a mere slave girl finding the obbedience they couldn't. What they wouldn't consider, imposible for beings of rank as high as them, is that you got results because you came to him as a friend.
His guardian, a friendly voice he could trust what he wouldn't share to his mortal friends and relatives. Someone apart from his mother knowing the deepness of his being. Aware of the fate cornering him, your task was the one of a companion for a hero already sentenced to a brief life. From all of his friends, you were to onlyone who knew his death was near.
Falling for him was the worst possible outcome for you, but fitting curse given Aphrodite played in the trojan side. The damage she couldn't inflict on Athena or Hera, she had unleashed in a lesser deity with no power to face her. At that point you were way beyond duty, beyond limits. Noticing his interest on the priestess have made you jealous of a mortal as you ate your love for the blond-haired hero. Imposible passion for you, destructive if consummated.
Achilles returned to his tent to find you already waiting for him, sitting on his spot on the bed directing him a calm smile. As soon as he got inside, you stood up offering wine you served from his own crater.
" I guessed you would need a drink. "
It landed like a mock and he wasn't in the mood for that.
" It's not wise to seek my company right now."
It made you chuckle, but you insisted taking the drink to his hand.
" I have never been wise, and you are the one finding yourself in need of mine."
He accepted the vase, slightly surprised of the servile attitude you adopted with the gesture. Despite lower in rank than his mother, you were still a deity, and pouring was usually a submissive act of service from the minor gods to the greater ones.
" Must I guess that following your advice was a mistake? ... Maybe I should have killed Agamemnon."
Trying to pretend solemnity, you evoked his greatest goals in hopes of helping him get a glimpse of the bigger scale in the situation.
" And how would history have remembered you then? 'Achilles, the usurper' the man that killed his leader for a woman. "
Only a shade of jealousy escaped from the intentionality of your speech, but it was easy to hide. If you mentioned the woman as a lesser cause, that made sense with your divine nature.
" I would have ended with a tyrant." He replicated and collapsed on his bed after finishing the liquid with one big sip and throwing away the vase, careless for the smashing. " I would have freed us all, greeks and trojans, a savior taken in geat reverence by both."
" You would have been marked as a traitor, you would have lost your honor and everything you fought for." You corrected in return as you paced closer. " Does the niece of Priam justify such great loss? She may be beautifull, but she could be your downfall if you don't proceed with care."
His glance, lost somewhere else untill that comment, got suddenly fixated on you. Anger dissipated for merely an instant, and he smirked with seductive self satisfaction.
" Are you jealous of her? Did you talk to me because you needed to prove you too can stop my blade? "
You endured the accusation with stoic dignity, giving a few steps back with a deadly serious expression.
" You may be beautifull beyond the limits of this Age of Heroes in decline, son of Peleus, but you aren't worth my downfall."
It made him chuckle, shades of skepticism in his semblance to matter he could see you wouldn't discuss.
" I won't fight for Agamemnon: I am going to sit back and watch his downfall. There is a spot reserved for you, If you want to, ... right next to me."
He tapped the side of the surface that served him as bed, playfully indicating you could lay with him if you wanted to do so.
" I thought you would wish to ask me how your mortal is doing, and If I can keep an eye on her for you." You carried on with the formal topic, refusing to follow his game. " Agamemnon is terrified of the effect she had on you: he may try to use her for bargain, but I doubt he would dare to hurt her by himself."
Your words have tranquilized at least the most inminent of his concerns. If the wound in his pride was his greatest pain, fear to feel like he was powerlessly abandoning that girl to be raped by the commander in chief was the actual sensitive aspect troubling him.
" Briseis prays more than me, she genuinely believes your kind would help her. I think right now she probably deserves your help more than I do. "
That selflessness, so rare to find in him, was melting your heart.
" I will not leave untill we have found your calm, then I will see what I can do without overstepping the territory of Apollo ... Who, by the way, must be very furious after you challenged him at the gates of his temple. "
Remembrance of his biggest act of hubris to the date got from him a taunting, purposedly innocent-looking smile.
" Being my inmortal guardian must be a terrible task, like the ironic punishment through a service impossible to achieve one gets in the Underworld after failing in life. "
The tease was about how very much exasperating he could get to be from your point of view as someone in charge of protecting him from the consecuencies of his misguided actions. Although sometimes it could be hard, that wasn't precisely the biggest challenge for you.
You smirked in return, ready to release a properly delivered sample of your denied affections.
" I accomplish it with patience, ... and love."

My Merlin’s lore and afkj headcanons
THERE WILL BE SPOILERS!!!
English isn’t my first language, i can’t write a decent story so i’m gonna yap the hell out of her lore:
- She goes by Rose since it was the only thing remained in her head the moment she woke up with severe memory loss or rather wiped.
- Thank god Merlin aka the not-yet-amnesiac-Rose left her a note filled with rules:
Dura’s orders and these following rules are the utmost things you should obey
1. If encounter a hypofiend, kill on sight
2. Keep moving forward, there’s no point of looking at your past
3. Help those who are in need if possible
4. Enjoy your new life, live to your heart’s content
5. Treat those you consider friends generously
6. Be well prepared for what’s to come, believe in yourself
Supreme Magister Merlin, Rose.
Rose was very skeptical of this note but later on, no one seemed to understand the language written on the note so it’s real legit she thinks.
- Merlin also left her infinite scroll filled with spells, incantations, hexes, jinxes and curses in alphabetical order, in a language only she could read of course. The only difficulty was to learn them all over again.
- The time when Rose goes into avatar state was actually Dura protecting her.
- Hammie helped Rose a lot with how to use magic. The little familiars were shocked and uneased that their master lost her memories all of a sudden, but as time goes by, they got used to the new magister eventually. The fact that the iconic traits of their master is still there, helped them feel at ease.
- Can’t say the same with Rose though, girl got existential crisis and impostor syndrome after finding out her magic (aside from the spells that Dura blessed her) is weak as hell compared to the great magister Merlin that Hogan and Mirael knew.
- She burned her ass out later on, learing spells, training in combat with Chippy, trying to reach people’s expectations of the great Merlin, if people find out their protector, Dura’s chosen one is a wimp, they’ll lose their faith.
Now, onto my headcanons of afkj’s lore
Tumblr media
These multiple people holding out to the swords isn’t Merlin, they’re the fallen god’s Chosen ones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think these lines explained it well. Gosh i love Waves of intrigue.
Tumblr media
Multiple heroes wielding swords, only one holding a torch, that’s our Magister Merlin!
If you’re sad that our Merlin doesn’t have a sword, worry not, they got a pretty sick one right here keep in mind that Phraesto is 205cm tall and this sword is longggg
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that’s it, thank you for reading, there’s more about Rose and her past rocking in the Inmortal war but that’s for another day, my phone is lagging as i was writing these words :,(
Here have some art! …yeah i isekai-ed my oc to Esperia to be Merlin so that’s why she got that hairstyle.

ok so im thinking of writing kinda a story
i was gonna post it before but it needs a lot more work, but i find it somewhat interesting. its what i begin to tell myself on the sad days, and its a mix of a Jorge Luis Borjes quote from El Inmortal, The Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus, an analogy my therapist made, some metaphors from the bible probably, something or other from John Green's Looking for Alaska, the inescapability of my trauma and my love for those who harm me, my perceived lack of importance, the rules of engagement everyone seems to follow when interacting with me, and my hope for a better world.
the Borjes quote is in spanish, but in english it translates to "And so the days died, and with them the years but something that seemed like happiness occurred- it rained with a powerful slowness." in the story he had just become immortal and was pondering concepts such as a world without memory or time, or a language that didnt have nouns. in his immortality he withdrew into his consciousness and in his endless pondering the days passed with no end until of course, the rain came and woke him up. now i am not immortal (probably, you'll never know for sure), but i feel that to all of us there is something relatable to the idea of the death of days (similar to how Camus describes the working man as a modern day sisyphus, there is something uniquely human about the futility and absurdity of life in a society that conditions us to submit ourselves to the exploitation of time labor value.)
so thats sort of a sneak peek at what its gonna be approximately but uh lemme get around to making it (i have so many making things suddenly on my plate like i decided i wanted to do 3d modeling cuz i can't draw for shit, i bought miku and now i wanna make music, wanna learn how to sow, and then weirdly enough i want to write despite my extreme aversion to that art form (reading is fine i just don't like producing until now maybe idk))
uh add another cursed image to the things i need to/want to make because i am running out
see yall next time voidlings

I can't stop thinking about Pierro. The way this man just hits all my favorite romantic tropes and relationship dynamics is crazy.
So, concepts/ideas for stories I will probably never write but just wanna share around.
Tumblr media
The royal mage and the lonely princess of Khaenri'ah. A tale of longing, where the man later known as Pierro holds hidden affections for the one that listens his concerns about an upcoming doom.
The handmaiden. The Tsaritsa starts her plan to burn away the old world. An life-changing encounter deep within storm and snow between the Cryo Archon's loyal companion and the principal chess piece of her game. (Or in which MC is the one that finds Pierro after the fall of Khaenri'ah)
Inmortal tragic lovers Post-Cataclysm. The main character, Pierro's beloved, suffers another curse affecting their body and health. Reverse Beauty and The Beast maybe?

I have the hunch fjmt is writing whatever the fuck is going on with denji and yoshida based on how kishibe and quanxi bonded. Cool guy it's ok with a one sided love (out of interpretation) with this inmortal person relieving in them the pain to actually attach to life and the pain of loss, while the hybrid silently accept this guy presence and slowly grow to care for them but not enough to even conside them as a friend, just a familiar, constant voice by their side.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Yoshida and Kishibe prefer parasocial/from afar relationships because real ones doesn't end in the terms they expect. That's the curse of public safety dogs' I guess.

Hi! I want to share a merthur prompt that's been on me mind for a long time, but cannot write cause english is not my first language and I'm afraid to make mistakes. I would love for you to write it, but if you only share the prompt for someone else to do it, it's fine too.
You know how in the arthurian mithology Arthur wasn't raise as a prince to begin with but was discover later? Not only that, but Utter was the one who order Merlin to hide him, so he took him and made other family raise him.
Well, inspired on this I though what if our BBC Merlin did this? I imagine inmortal Merlin after the events of camlam, mad with grieve, tired of waiting for Arthur and cursing destiny and fate, would come to the conclusion that it was the prophesy he tried to fulfill that ended up killing and condeming Arthur. So, as soon as he learns how to, he travels back in time just when Arthur is about to be born. He kidnaps baby Arthur and gives him to a nice couple in Ealdor who he knows can't have children and will raise him well. He doesn't care about destiny anymore, he just wants Arthur to be happy and safe.
Obviously this has consecuences: Utter's hate towards magic becomes worse because he did not only lose his wife to a sorcerer but his son and heir as well. Search parties look for the lost prince for years without success and Utter is force to acknowledge Morgana as his daughter since he refuses to marry again, let alone have another heir. He won't stop looking for his son though no matter how much his council pleads him to.
Meanwhile, little Arthur meets little Merlin and become inseparable friends. Merlin from the future smiles, watching them from afar. He's been looking after Arthur all this time, making sure he won't be found and that he's safe. Suddenly he notices his body is starting to be less solid and realise that sooner or later he's going to disappear because there can be two Merlins coexisting in the same time. Not wanting to leave Arthur unprotected, he decides to orquest secret encounters with his younger self in the woods disguise as Dragoon/Emrys to start giving him magic leasons so he can control his magic better, ergo protect Arthur when he is not around. However, Arthur follows Merlin one day to see where he always goes of to and he discovers his best friend has magic. He takes it well though and even asks "Emrys" to teach him too. "Emrys" says something along the lines "You don't have magic I can work with but you defenitely have strength and courage. I can teach you to be a Knight" and he does. From then on he gives them not only magic and knight leasons, but education in general.
The day "Emrys" knows he is going to die/disappear he meets with Merlin, who is a teen by then, privatly one last time. With all the power he has left he transfers all his memories to Merlin. Overwhelm but over all angry teen Merlin shouts at adult Merlin, who is not in disguise anymore, "How dare you! You had no right to take that away from him! His right to the throne! He could've have better life, he could...". Adult Merlin argues back "Being prince is what made him miserable and got him killed in the first place!". They fight a little more, but in the end Adult Merlin says "Look, if you think is best to bring Arthur back to Camelot and reveal he is the lost prince is your choice. I already gave you all the information you need to be beware of the dangers and consecuences. Don't let any prophesy lead your choices and protect him" and he banishes soon after. Teen Merlin is left without knowing what to do.
He doesn't have to do anything though. Essetier kingdom falls, maybe do to war or a plague, i don't know, and Merlin, Arthur and their parents are force to flee to Camelot. They arrive at the Citidel and... that's all I got 😅 Sorry. I suppose at some point Arthur is discover and chaos ensues, but I don't know how it would happen.
OP, I just want to say.... i already know you're underestimating yourself. This summary looks awesome. I love the idea. And I have no doubt that you can flesh this out.
I'm not going to write it, because you can make this a 300 k story and people will absolutely read it and they will love it. I know this, because I absolutely would. Don't worry about your English, it's more than fine. (There are some spelling mistakes, but that's to do with typing, not actual problems with grammar.)
Look, I'm not an English native myself. I'm German and I started off with stories that made little sense in consistency. I was 12 when my first comment (my brother) told me it sucked. And he was right but that didn't stop me. The level on writing I see in this little summary is what I would have aspired my writing to become at the time. You have nothing to be insecure about.
Don't be afraid to write your own story. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Trust me on this. You will do better than you think. And if you want, you can always message me if you need any help. I would love to read your version of the whole story.
Seriously, I mean it. You've given me enough text to see it. It would be a great gift to the fandom if you tried. :)

Just thinking
Well... I just thought that, if Shadow is inmortal and it's kind of cursed to lose everyone he knows eventually...
I was thinking about a moment in the future were he finally had to bury the last person he meet and made a connection with. He just travels around the world, by his own and without the intention of forming any other relationship to avoid feeling that despair again.
He basically becomes a literal shadow, a ghost, he keeps protecting the planet but without anyone figuring out, and in the process he ends up finding and keeping the chaos emeralds to avoid anyone to do something that the villains of his past tried.
After all, Sonic and the rest of the group aren't around anymore to prevent a similar tragedy from happening.
Then, one day he ends up finding by accident one of the ancient and forgotten Eggmans labs that somehow still works, even if the mad scientist died long ago. And once he reach the core of the base to inspect it, all the emeralds he has kept with him suddenly awaken activating the mechanism of a huge machine that the lab actually was.
He eventually managed to force the emeralds to back down from powering the machine and right when he was about to destroy it he hear a little cry inside one of the tubes of the machine.
And when he goes there to check what's going on he only finds, behind a metal shield hot from the chaos energy and some smoke from the process, a little blue baby hedgehog crying and scared.
Without words, Shadow lifts the creature and when the baby finally started to calm down he opens her huge green eyes to look at him.
Ones that he thought he would never see again.

Your delor character remind me of this concept I had of a person who is possessed by the demon of failure, which make it so anything they wished to do will inevitably fail, not matter how imposible it should be. Due to the constant failures the person become suicidal which ironically turns the demon power into basically being inmortal, because as long as they want to die, the demon make it so anything that make that happen fails, be it from themselves or anything else. I am talking bullets curving around him like he has a forcefield kind of thing.
That's sort of what Delor's deal is. No matter what, the least desirable situation will occur to Delor. Chopping onions? Cut your finger. Put something on the shelf, the shelf will fall apart and break. Start working on a scarf-.....run out of the EXACT YARN you need to finish half way through.
Being the entity where curses and misfortune radiates from comes with a deep price to pay.
