Reader as Alastor's Mother part 3

So I took a little while oops Part 1!, Part 2!

𓋼 You brush his hair every morning. He pretends to find it annoying but he secretly loves it.

Whenever you'd brush his hair, you'd sometimes mention how short it was and that you couldn't do any hairstyles with it, which, on one hand, was good for his pride, but on the other hand, made you sad which also made him slightly sad. So he made the very rational decision to grow his hair out for you so that you could style it one day!

"Alastor, is your hair longer than before?"

"Hm? Is it?" he would never admit he did it for you! 𓋼 At one point, you were in the lobby with everyone else and you started wondering about Alastor's ears since he never actually mentioned anything, of course, you remembered Charlie's constant pleading to pet him, to which he always refused with his typical "Ha! No.", which made you more curious, if perhaps you could get away with it as his mother.

So, only naturally, you placed your hand atop his head and pet him, his ears lightly twitching. Charlie squealed. Of course she did.

"Oh my gosh! Can I do that too?!" she asked

"Haha! Absolutely not."

She wasn't very happy. She ended up pouting the entire day, Vaggie having to comfort her. To Charlie, it was like someone telling her not to pet a cute cat! Absolutely heartbreaking 𓋼 On that specific day, you also asked if he had a tail, and considering he had ears, it would make sense for there to be a tail too. Of course, silly Alastor was too embarrassed to answer in front of everyone, so he avoided the question!

"You're very positive today, Mother, did something good happen?"

"Nothing in particular, so about your tail-!"

"That's for me to know and you to… maybe, find out, Mother!"

You asked him about it again when you two weren't around the others, so he decided to show you! it was a nice revelation. 𓋼 You noticed that the shadow Alastor has following you around all the time, sometimes disappears, so you used that opportunity to go meet Lucifer as he invited you for tea countless times, and who are you to decline such a kind invitation?

When Alastor realised he couldn't find you anywhere in the hotel, he panicked and searched every inch of it multiple times, until Vaggie had finally had enough and asked him what happened.

"What are you doing, Alastor?"

"Searching for my Mother! She's gone missing, you see!" of course, he had a menacing look on his face.

"She mentioned she was going out for a while"

"Oh? And did she say… where?"

"Nope, well anyway, good luck!"

Yeah, Vaggie just left him. So he waited for you patiently at the hotel entrance. When you finally returned, he clung to you like his life depended on it, asking you many questions. 𓋼 I feel like whenever the Overlords had important, confidential, meetings, Alastor would immediately return to the hotel and tell you all about them, whether it be out of spite or fun. You definitely enjoyed knowing all the things going on in hell. 𓋼 You and Niffty put makeup on him when he was asleep and pinned his hair back (Alastor was pretending to sleep, just letting you two do your thing). Angel started laughing and giving him silly nicknames when he saw his hair, which inevitably caused him to shake his head very fast, removing the pin from his hair. 𓋼 Your first birthday with everyone. Of course, Alastor threw you a party. It was meant to be a surprise but considering he’s always with you, you found out because he was more secretive than before (you managed to guilt-trip him into telling you what he was hiding) 𓋼 For Christmas (if you celebrate it), you decorate Alastor with Christmas lights! He says he hates it but he definitely doesn’t, although it certainly made him a little bit scarier when he did that spooky thing with his eyes!

"Mother. Please do explain again why you decided to put christmas lights on me."

"You're more colourful this way!" you turned the lights on, so that now they were switching between multiple colours

Angel and Niffty ended up hanging a few baubles on his antlers too, before he noticed. 𓋼 Charlie had asked about your time alive so you began telling her, and everyone else who was listening, about some silly stories! When Alastor came into the lobby and heard you telling an embarrassing story about him, his ears lightly twitched and flattened against his head. He was just a little bit embarrassed.

Of course, he tried to leave again, unnoticed, however, the all-too bubbly charlie saw him and invited him to join.

"Alastor! [Name] was just telling us stories, come join us!"

"No"

"Alastor, darling, Charlie is being very kind! You need to be around these souls more! Come join."

Of course, he can't say no to you, so he ended up sitting by your side as you continued to tell the story about him, you lightly pet him and hugged him from time to time. Although his ears still stayed flat against his head. 𓋼 You wanted to make a flower crown, but since no flowers actually existed in hell, you had to make do with other things (paper). Yes, you made paper flowers and then turned them into a makeshift flower crown, which you then placed on top of Alastor's head.

"Mother?"

"Darling, I made you a paper flower crown!" 𓋼 Alternatively, you may've decided to sneak out again to find Lucifer.

"Luci, can you sneak us into Heaven?"

"Heaven?! Why?"

"I need flowers"

"Why would you need flowers?"

"To make Alastor a flower crown!"

Yeah, he wasn't too excited about that idea but he still agreed, although it did take a bit of… bribery…

"I'll… give you a kiss if you agree!"

"Let's go!" he opened the portal immediately and took you with him.

In the end, you got all the flowers you needed (after being chased out by Lute and Adam), so you were both… somewhere in hell, for sure.

"So… about what you said, before I got us into Heaven…"

"Oh, right!" You never specified where you'd kiss him so you simply kissed his cheek, he was a little disappointed but it's alright, you got Alastor a lovely flower crown! 𓋼 I feel like he would've been very afraid of spiders when he was alive, and then you were left with the task to exterminate any that entered your home (whether or not you were also afraid) 𓋼 You were quite a fan of new technology (though not completely obsessed), it made life far easier for you, though Alastor always 'confiscated' everything when he was around as he wasn't too keen on it.

"Mother, I don't see what you like about this device so much."

"It's simple to use and makes things quite a bit simpler than back when we were alive."

"I think it's pointless."

"Yes, you've always been a fan of radio… I see that obsession has stuck, even after death"

"It is not an obsession, Mother. I prefer 'fascination'!"

Been having thoughts about Piglins and hair. Hair is very important, as you grow up, your sounder helps braid gold trinkets into your hair, will clean and braid it together every night. Hair is community. There are different hairstyles that piglins have, for peace, harvest, war, family, for weddings and celebrations. Every sounder has its own traditions regarding hair, but one is universal. When a Piglin dies, their hair is cut short and woven into a long rope. (I imagine pigling hair is very strong and maybe coarse, like actual pig hair). The oldest of sounders have ropes dozens of meters long, gold and netherite and gems woven in.

There isn’t much distinction between each set of hair, but you can usually tell. The short, fine, soft hairs of a child, adorned with rubies, woven into graying hair, coarse and thick. Techno was the last of his sounder. After the massacre, he spent hours braiding the hair of the dead into the rope. It was almost doubled in length by the time he was done. No one fully taught him and the rope is clumsy at the end. There are sections full of just children’s hair. He wears the rope of his sounder around his waist, a reminder of the home he lost and can never get back.

Another aspect of Piglin culture is that cutting your hair indicated coming death. And elder piglin might cut their hair, to signify that their end is coming. One who is banished might get their hair cute, showing they are no longer welcome into the community it represents. A Piglin in the nether with a scalp of cut hair is a good as dead.

No one knows this, other than Technoblade. One morning, he cuts his carefully braided hair.

jimin: seven hours ???

jimin: wait can i help

yn: uhh sure. if you want i'm unraveling my braids now

You sat your phone down, focusing on the ombre brown box braid in your hand. It was officially fall, and it was time to take out your late summer hairstyle. You stretched this style longer than usual due to your recent visit to South Korea. You came to celebrate Jimin's birthday and spent the remaining three weeks sightseeing before returning to your country.

The once neat squares were now fuzzy and overgrown. You were excited to see this much new growth spreading across your scalp. You peeked over your phone, seeing Jimin hearted your final text message. Jimin never shied away from asking you questions about your natural hair. Of course, he knew about the versatility of black hair, but now that his girlfriend was black, he felt he could become better informed.

"Yeobo." Jimin cooed, taking off his black puffer jacket. His eyes shining with pure love, looking at you. Despite half of your hair sticking out.

Jimin bent over and laid a kiss on your lips. He sat down before you, feet crossed and tucked underneath his body. "I'm ready to be your assistant."

You demonstrated to Jimin where to cut and how to unravel your braids. Like a good student, Jimin watched you take down some braids. Watching how generous you were with the detangler, using the rat tail comb to pick at those annoying knots.

Jimin was so gentle, slowly detangling your hair. Starting from the ends of your hair as you taught him. With each crinkly track of hair that Jimin removed, more and more of your natural hair was revealed. He showered your hair with compliments, not caring about the specks of dirt or clusters of hardened gel.

Starting your natural hair journey was something always intimate to you. It was your hair. Your crown. It was a part of your identity. Whether it was short, long, kinky, or curly. It grew from your scalp and was a testament to strength. Not letting Western beauty standards strip you of the beauty you were handed down from your ancestors. And for him, Jimin, your non-black boyfriend, to engage with your natural hair. You felt connected with him on another level.

In no time, an hour to be exact, you and Jimin finished unraveling all the braids. Your afro was extended high and moved like blades of grass in the wind. Jimin sweetly called your hair cotton candy.

"Your hair is so soft. I love it in this state." He leaned back on the couch, proud of his work.

"Na ah. We still got more work to do; now we have to wash it."

No complaint left Jimin's mouth as he rolled off the couch.

"Okay, but I wanna take a picture. Your hair is so cute right now." You playfully rolled your eyes but stretched out your hair to look suitable for the picture. Knowing Jimin, he was going to make this photo be his lock screen for who knows how long. With his hands around your hips, Jimin pulled you in close. His full lips puckered, kissing your cheek. Your eyes were closed, giving the camera a beautiful smile.

Reviewing the image, Jimin laughed, seeing that your afro covered a good portion of his face. But his lips on your cheek were still evident. Clearing out your kitchen sink, you explained to Jimin how each product would help your hair. He was simply taken aback by the six bottles that were sitting on the sink.

Jimin held the faucet spout over your hair, impressed at how your hair was repelling the stream of water. Jimin counted the sixty-seconds it took for your hair to start dripping from the water.

"So this is what you mean by low-porosity?"

"Yeah, it takes a while for my hair to get wet and for my hair to dry. Well at least air dry."

You squirted the coconut-scented shampoo in your hand. Ensuring that you scratched up any dirt in your hair. The scalp massage was your favorite part of washing your hair. You reached for Jimin's hands, getting them into your hair. His hands massaging your hair, hitting all the itchy spots.

"This is so satisfying, not gonna lie." You physically relaxed into Jimin's body. Despite the slightly uncomfortable bridge position you were in. You didn't mind as you watched Jimin wash your hair. You recognized his look of determination as he gave care to each area of your scalp.

"Gimme kiss." This time, you were puckering your lips for a kiss. Jimin didn't hesitate. Since your time in Korea, you have not had the opportunity to have a 'down' day with Jimin. Either he was taking you to a new part of the country he wanted you to see. Or you were working remotely from your laptop. You weren't working odd hours due to conflicting time zones. You were finding peace in the little things, like watching Jimin breathe. Your hands traced his jawline, feeling his bare skin. Not many things if life are 'perfect', but this moment between you and Jimin would be close. You basked in the moment. Not wanting this moment to end. Not enjoying your time to end.

"I love you."

"I love you more."

"Impossible." Jimin rinsed the shampoo, repeating the process with conditioner and deep conditioner. Jimin hadn't even noticed the time just flying by. He was just going along with the flow. Watching you section off your hair before blow drying it. The sections displayed an obvious contrast in the apparent 'length' of your hair. When soaking wet it was barely near your ear. Yet after being stretched by the blow dryer, it was at your collarbone.

"What do you need help with next?"

"This next part is pretty simple. I'm just gonna do five cornrows, then call it a night. You've been such a help, babe."

"Teach me how to do it." Jimin patted on the carpeted ground for you to sit in between his legs. In a matter of thirty minutes, Jimin mastered cornrows. Something that took you months, maybe even years to make them look presentable.

"Had I known you were this fast learner, I would have taught you this when we met." You looked at the five braids. You looked at the time, noticing that only four hours had passed. Jimin helped you shave off three hours of wash day.

"Glad to be of help."

I feel like I'm constantly changing my format when writing these imagines. Oh well. Life has been good lately, hope life has been good to everyone too <33

Clarke Griffin Appreciation Week 2023!

Hey Clarke Kru! It's been a while since Daily Clarke Griffin has had an event, don't you think? Well, it's time to change that! We're bringing Clarke Griffin Appreciation Week back for its third year! As always, the event will run from October 24th to October 30th. (We start on Eliza's birthday and end the day before Halloween, it's the perfect time to celebrate Clarke, not to mention it's her birth month too!)

As we've done before, a list of prompts have been selected for each day to give you some inspiration for what you create for the week! Like we have said in the past, this event is hosted for all types of content creators, whether you make gifs or graphics or moodboards or videos or fic, we try to pick out themes we think will work for everyone. Check them out below!

Prompts:

Day 1: Favorite Look — For our first day we'd love to see your favorite Clarke outfit/look! Do you love her classic season one outfit? Maybe you like the black and blue outfits of season two! Or maybe give a nod to her temporary outfits like the Ark flashback or one of her dresses? Maybe you think her short hair could use some more appreciation, or you could even make a compilation of all her different hairstyles throughout the years!

Day 2: Favorite Underrated Friendship — We've done favorite friendship/dynamic, but what about a pairing that you think deserved more love? Maybe you wished we got a lot more out of the Clarke and Wells relationship. Maybe it's another one of the delinquents like Miller or Harper. Or what about Clarke and Roan? There's tons of duos to choose from, tell us your fave underrated relationship!

Day 3: Color — For this day we want to challenge all of your beautiful creative minds by channeling color! Whether that be one single color that makes you think of Clarke or a whole plethora of colors by making a rainbow edit! You could even use a color palette generator for some inspo if you want! Anything goes!

Day 4: Lyrics & Poetry — We love seeing things like this in the fandom and we want to see some more! Find a quote of some sort, whether it comes from a song or a poem or even somewhere else, and let it inspire you into creating something beautiful to celebrate Clarke! This could be in the form of gifs, moodboards, fanart, even a songfic! Whatever you want to create, we want to see!

Day 5: Bi Pride — It's not Clarke Griffin Appreciation Week without bi pride day! As always, we'd love to see all the bi love whether it's with a bi flag inspired gifset, a moodboard with cute bi aesthetics, maybe you could even use some lyrics from your fave bi musician as inspo! (Gentle reminder that this day is about bi positivity, we're here to celebrate Clarke's role as a bi leading character!)

Day 6: Halloween — The holiday is right around the corner and we'd love to see some fun and spooky ideas! You could do something orange and black themed, you can make an AU edit like Clarke as a witch or a werewolf! Maybe a manip of what you think Clarke would dress up as. You could also do some spooky horror-inspired editing if that's your thing. Even a Halloween drabble if you feel like writing instead. We hope you have fun with this one!

Anon, first of all, thank you for your patience. This ask took a while, because at the very beginning I was like “well I kind of want to draw this, even though I’m not sure when I’ll have time to draw ALL of them”, but then I started writing, and here we are…

I’ll just say that I’ve written more about some of the girls than about the others, because, well, I don’t have much thoughts about some of them. Mostly about the Savanaclaw…

Also I’m still not 100% certain about some stuff that I talk about, so if I ever manage to draw something or write more posts about them, don’t be surprised if we change our minds about how this whole thing goes.

Ace – pretty close to the original both physically and mentally, she’s a sporty gal who likes comfy-sporty street fashion and basketball. She is a tomboy, but she also considers herself quite cute. She often makes jokes about how her future husband is going to be some rich old dude and how she’ll never have to work, because she is such a cutie. She doesn’t really likes guys all that much though, so it’s more of a “yeah I can do that, so what?” type of thing, because she knows this topic pisses Deuce and Riddle off.

Deuce – ex-sukeban, but a soft-spoken neat girlie with a proper ponytail and clean nails. Embarrassed of her previous behavior, so she tries her best not only to become a good student like  the original Deuce, but also to act accordingly to how society perceives “good girls” who would become “wife material”  when they’re older. She doesn’t really want to become a housewife though, so she is quite conflicted about it…. She’ll figure it out eventually. Also, she respects and loves her mom a lot; she is pretty much her role model.

Riddle – your average flat-chested tsundere girl. When it comes to her hairstyle, I’m torn between giving her pigtails (a classic for this type), a bun similar to what the Queen herself is wearing, or something completely different. I addition to all the agonizing rules the original Riddle has to oblige to, she has a whole separate set of rules for a proper lady. A little copy of her mother in the making, but a hopeless romantic at heart.

Trey – a full-bodied short-haired oneesan type, very attentive and sweet. In addition to her love for cooking and baking, she is also quite handy (at fixing things) and strong, so sometimes people joke about her being more of a dad friend than a mom friend. Also, she is scary when angered.

Cater – also pretty close to the original: trendy and stylish, maybe she wears more accessories than the original Cater, but not too much. She jokes about having crushes on male celebrities, but she actually likes girls.

Leona – probably more proactive than the original Leona, since she’s a lioness. Logically that would also imply shorter hair, but who knows.

Jack – another oneesan type, but also quite tsundere-ish. Her hair is long and fluffy, just like her tail.

Ruggie – pretty close to the original, but with a cute short ponytail.

Azul – she prides herself on being the next Great Sea Witch: she is sure that she is going to become one, but she never brags about it, just thinks about it to herself very smugly. She also uses her charms to her advantage, being all sweet and acting like a dainty and fragile little lady around potential business partners, which is funny, because it’s painfully obvious that she is actually super bossy, pushy and aggressive. Maybe even more aggressive than the original Azul…

Jade – an unnervingly polite girl that has the same aura as your average Asian flight attendants do…. Like, almost yamato nadeshiko type?? Very soft-spoken and very attentive, humble, poised, but there is still this feeling that underneath all that hides something truly terrifying… She either has her hair down or wears it in a neat bun. She is extremely tall, which makes her intimidating, and is quite busty.

Floyd – just as tall and busty as Jade (they probably have the biggest breasts out of the entire cast), but definitely different in everything else. She is truly a creature and acts, well, just like the original Floyd. She’s either sluggish or super active depending on her mood, and is actually quite a flirt compared to her sister. It’s super easy for her to make other girls flustered (which is something that Riddle specifically doesn’t like her for). She wears anything that feels comfy and cool for her, although when it comes to shoes she prefers to wear sneakers and men’s shoes. She also wears her hair down more often than Jade.

Kalim – oh I’m having a hard time with this one, but she is kind of like a Disney princess (an active genki one). Her hair is probably braided, but it’s still quite fluffy and soft and looks a bit unkempt but in a stylish way: Jamil braids her hair every morning. She just wants to have fun 24/7, so she is a bit unhinged, but also quite empathetic and nice. But a bit dumb.

Jamil – a woman of my dreams lol but in all seriousness, visually she is quite similar to the original Jamil: her hairstyle is pretty much the same, her outfits still have this “hip-hop”-y vibe, a bit sporty, a bit tomboyish, but I guess with a sexy fleur? A very subtle one though. Personality-wise it’s a 100% match.

Vil – the type of model/actress you would see in a post titled “androgynous celebrities” and go “woah who is she”. Elegant, beautiful, super tall, Vil looks good in both dresses and pants. Just like the original Vil, she hates it when the clothes are described as “manly” or “womanly”: Vil wears what she wants to wear. Oh, and high heels are still a must: she is proud of her long legs and she’ll never let you forget about it. (Also when it comes to fem!Pomefiore, I wrote down “Lobelia but with a twist” lol)

Rook – someone you’ll look at for a second and immediately think “a lesbian”. She looks neat and wears makeup, but she is still quite tomboyish and has this vibe of a woman that could pin you against the wall. She is much better behaved now that she is in Pomefiore though. She definitely wore a plaid shirt when she and Vil first met lol

Epel – another tomboy. She doesn’t like girly things just as much as the original Epel, but I guess she is more justified in her hatred towards it than him lol She complains a lot about being forced to do stuff she doesn’t want to and has heated arguments with Vil, even though Vil doesn’t really force her to wear dresses or paint her face: she just wants Epel to brush her hair and stop swearing like a tractor driver. And wear sunscreen… Although Vil and Rook would like to see Epel dressed in both cute dresses and handsome princely outfits (the latter Epel especially doesn’t get).

Idia – tall otaku girl, the type of girl that would be mistaken for a dude online, because she tends to be a resident of online-spaces where all the men otaku hang out. The fact that she still uses “sessha” as her pronoun doesn’t help with that.  She is a liiiiiitle bit of a fujo, but her main focus is the same as the original Idia’s: animes with cute girls in it, gacha-games with waifus, all that stuff. Visually she is pretty much the same as Idia, well, other than the obvious differences. She also doesn’t own a bra, because she is rather small and wears big hoodies and jackets.

Ortho – well this is a tricky one. I think Ortho is also pretty much the same as the original Ortho, but maybe with cute little pigtails lol gotta think about this one more…

Lilia – pretty much the same as the original, the differences are minimal with this one. A cutie through and through 😔💕 and a war criminal

Malleus – whenever I think about her, I picture quite a mature looking lady, visually in her 20s, but I guess Malleus himself looks quite mature for a college student. Her figure is elegant and she is actually quite lean, but with wider hips. Maybe she has a headpiece similar to Maleficent’s, but she doesn’t wear it all the time.

Silver – I’m not sure if I want her to have longer hair or nah, she is also quite similar to the original Silver. She looks more delicate than she actually is because of her pretty face, but her body is actually full of scars and muscles. 

Sebek – she has much longer hair in a neat bun, she is quite full-bodied, strong and muscular. She is quite romantic in her beliefs that she won’t have a family because she is going to dedicate her life to her Queen.

Bad boy!Choso who people think wouldn't be the coddling type when observing his standoffish nature in public, when in reality, he spoils his siblings rotten and practically demands hugs from them. He may not be anything more than civil towards strangers or acquaintances, but that doesn't reflect how he's ready to do anything for his family at the drop of a hat.

Bad boy!Choso who no longer baffles people with his unexpected behaviors and hobbies, and, rather than garnering speculation like before, has now developed quite the reputation for being the cute boy with the motorcycle. Most people in the community who knew of him for a while still can't help calling him a bad boy, despite him being the furthest thing from it.

Bad boy!Choso who plucked a kitten from the middle of the road yesterday. Who was seen helping a little girl find her mom in the maze-like clothing store last week (the toddler was quite fond of his hairstyle). How to dress as the Aikatsu Academy idols

Aikatsu has finally made its way into the world of VTubers! Just like IDOLM@STER and Love Live, Aikatsu Academy! features virtual idols. And now that it's officially out, let's celebrate by learning how to become one of these virtual idols ourselves.

As Mieru Himeno - Mieru Himeno is a pretty, talkative, and positive idol singer who has a weakness for cute staff as some claim. Anyway, to become Mieru, you first need long pink hair. That's a beginner's task but the tricky part is to replicate her hairstyle. Her braided side parts feature two big red bows and four white small ones each, totaling four big red ones and eight white small ones. The end parts of her pink hair are twirly so do your best not to mess them up. With that sorted, you are now Mieru Himeno. Feel free to decide on the outfits she wore from her campus escapades.

As Meh Mamimu - Meh Mamimu looks like a mysterious cool beauty but she is calm and friendly when she speaks. If you want to cosplay Meh Mamimu from Aikatsu, it's easy to do. Just get short silver hair with a lot of volume and two black faux hibiscus flowers for the hair accessories. No sweat, right?

As Parin Wao - Parin Wao is an energetic leader and an active girl who loves games and fun. Wao's hairstyle is no doubt the most difficult to replicate. She boasts an extra long sky blue hair with orange insides. Replicating the two ribbons from her hair is extremely difficult as it requires professional help from someone you know, although the pigtail from her left takes four rubber bands to match the look. The thin rear tails feature two orange and one blue small bows each. There are other hair accessories as well such as two ribbons, the orange and the blue, a red oval hairpin, a yellow ribbon hairpin, and a green X hairpin. With the herculean task of replicating her hairstyle sorted, you're now officially Parin Wao.

“Sensei? Gojou-sensei, is that you?”

Satoru turned his head from where he was seated at the bar, surprised to see a much older Fushiguro Megumi standing a few feet away. He shouldn’t be surprised, time changes us all, but the kid he once knew was now replaced by a man. The baby-fat cheeks were chiseled into a strong jawline, his wild hair was cut short—cleaner looking—and those long dark lashes that had caught Satoru’s attention on more than one occasion were somehow even darker. Satoru spun in his chair, turning his full attention to his former student.

“Fushiguro? How have you been?”

Fushiguro’s dark eyes lit up, pleased to be recognized. “Megumi is fine. I’ve been good.”

Satoru motioned to the unoccupied seat next to him. “Would you like to join me, Megumi?” A look crossed his face that Satoru couldn’t quite place, but it was gone as quickly as it came. Megumi sat down. “What do you want to drink?”

Megumi wrinkled his nose. “You don’t have to order for me.”

Satoru smiled. “I insist. A reunion with my favorite student needs to be celebrated.” He lifted his glass into the air as if to make a toast. It could be the lighting, but Satoru swore he saw a tinge of pink on Megumi’s cheeks.

“A beer then.”

“Great.” Satoru waved at the bartender and pointed at Megumi. He walked over to take the order, then walked off to the other end of the bar where the tap fountain was. “You’ve really grown up.”

Megumi cocked a brow. “You look the same.”

Satoru laughed. “Well, you age slower as you get older. You look good, though.”

There was that tinge of pink again, brighter this time. The new hairstyle left Megumi’s ears exposed, and the tips were burning red. Cute.

Megumi mumbled something as his beer was brought over but it went unheard from the ambient music and chatter in the background. “Do you live in the area, Sensei?” asked Megumi as he took a sip from his beer, changing the subject.

Satoru nodded. “Down the street, though I don’t teach anymore. You don’t need to call me ‘sensei.’”

“I prefer it.”

Interesting.

“Okay.”

Satoru took a sip from his own drink and wiped his lips on the back of his hand. He noticed the way Megumi’s eyes drifted towards his mouth, then dropped his gaze to follow Satoru’s hand. Very interesting. Satoru had his suspicions back in the day, but he chalked it up to a simple crush that would fade with time. Now, however, it seemed Megumi might still have some of that lingering attraction. And who was he to deny his favorite student the attention he was seeking? He couldn’t do anything about it before, but now, with a fully grown Megumi sitting next to him, there was no one and nothing to stop him.

Satoru wet his lips and downed the rest of his glass. He placed a hand on top of Megumi’s glass and looked him dead in the eyes. “Do you want to come see my apartment?”

He watched the way Megumi’s Adam’s apple bobbed up and down as he gulped. Then Megumi nodded in earnest.

“Let’s go.”

Hello! First off, thank you so much for reblogging my Isekai'd reader post, I'm glad you liked it! I saw in your carrd that you're open to doing Matchups, so if that's true, I hope it's okay to ask for one for Pokemon Sword and Shield. Here's my info, sorry if there's too much:

I’m 20 years old and Bisexual. I also have Autism, ADHD and some health issues like weak bones and scoliosis. I’d probably prefer to be shipped with either a Gym Leader or Champion from Galar, and definitely someone who’s an adult lol. I’m really short, only 5’ (152 cm) at most, with long, wavy and fluffy brown hair. My two favorite hairstyles to do are either the Legolas-style half-ponytail (I don’t know how to describe it…) or two braids hanging over my shoulders. I either look kinda disheveled or I’m really dressed up, there’s seemingly no in-between. I also wear glasses and am very slender. 

I’d probably be really good friends with Allister because I’d definitely be studying Ghost Pokemon, and also I can be very gentle with people. Helping others makes me feel better so I always make a point of being friendly and helpful with everyone I meet. I’d 100% be some kind of researcher in Galar. I'd probably meet them by accompanying Allister to an event with all the other Gym Leaders because he's shy. 

I’m actually a pretty fun person with a witty and sometimes dirty sense of humor, though I’m also very sweet and polite. I enjoy drawing and baking, and I will not stop writing for the life of me. I write whenever possible, and I write very fast too. I once finished an entire nonfiction book in a week. I get flustered easily but I don't have a hard time connecting with people, I'm really not afraid to go up and ask for things. Whenever I do get flustered I giggle a lot (I've been told I have a very cute laugh) and tend to cover my face with my hands. I also have a weird habit of calling people endearing names like "honey" and "sweetie" at random. I give really good advice too.

I'm very soft but have been called argumentative before, but I generally give passes easier than some. I HATE making people feel bad. But if you insult someone I care about there is no mercy tbh. So yeah, sweet but fierce when provoked. I'm very protective over my loved ones. I'm always a little overprepared for everything and have a hard time accepting compliments.

🔥 I feel like Kabu is really just drawn to you! Not only do you care extremely for the people around you, but you don’t let people walk all over you! It’s something that attracted him to you and made him want to get to know you more.

🔥 But when you two first met, it was at some dinner party celebrating the newest Champion’s rise to the throne. Everyone, and Leon ofc, were there alongside the new Champion. So when he saw you were, he was rather confused as it was an event for them, but then he caught sight of Allister clinging to your leg.

🔥 He honestly thought you were his parent, rather than his emotional support. So he def made a fool of himself when he introduced himself to you and told you that he never thought he’d meet the shy boy's parent.

🔥 You laughed so hard at the poor man, you missed how red his face got and how smoke almost came out of his ears. Allister found the situation just as funny, even if he didn’t express it.

🔥 Allister liked Kabu. He was like an uncle to him, as he was very kind to him and helped him with whatever he needed- even if he was a bit rough around the edges, and bold with his approach when it comes to certain topics.

🔥 So it was really no surprise that the more the two of you saw each other at events, and even outside of these events, the two of you pursued a relationship.

🔥 Kabu was the one who confessed to you. The two of you were walking through Motostoke, making your way to some sushi place the gym leaders recommended to try out before Kabu would face a challenger.

🔥 He randomly stopped you and told you that he liked you, a lot, more than friends should. He would then express that he found you alluring and that you kept him on his toes. He was much older than you, obviously, and his life was becoming dull, but you... You brought such warmth and brightness to his life.

🔥 From your witty jokes to how shy you’d get when he’d tease you back. When he’d try to flirt with you and you’d cover your face with your hands, giggling to express just how happy it made you to hear his kind words- Argh. You have him completely wrapped around your finger.

🔥 You did have your concerns initially when he confessed. You shared with him your health issues, and it was important that he knew these things, even if you did speak of them in the past with him... You wanted him to be aware.

🔥 It’s there that Kabu told you that he loves you entirely for who you are, health issues or not, you are who he wants to be with and he’ll hold your hand through your worst days and through your good ones too.

🔥 So you agree to go out with him, much to his relief.

🔥 Allister is happy to hear about it. Very happy to hear about it. As are the other gym leaders and Nessa has become rather good friends with you, Milo has as well, so they were happy to see their father figure be with you.

🔥 Obviously with both of you having significantly different jobs, he always finds some way to connect with you. You need to borrow one of his Pokemon to figure out a theory? They’re yours for however long you need them. You need someone to go out with you in the Wild Area? What time? He’ll pick you up with breakfast./lunch

🔥 Once you moved in with Kabu when your relationship progressed, his favorite thing to do with you is doing your hair in the morning. He always took note of how you styled it, and one morning he asked to do your hair.

🔥 You agreed, as you wanted to see what he would do, and you were surprised to see he managed to do your usual hairstyles- probably even better than you.

🔥 It warmed your heart to know that he noticed these small details about you. So now every morning before you two go to work, he does your hair for you and kisses the crown of your head before your lips to wish you a good day.

🔥 On your days off, you two often go out to do domestic things like shopping for groceries, doing laundry, and cleaning the house up. Sometimes Allister joins in on your hangouts, and it’s become a thing now.

🔥 In a way, Allister has become your son, and it makes you happy to see Kabu feels the same way.

🔥 Kabu feels like you’d be a good parent. The bag you carry with you always has something he or Allister, even those around you, need. Like band-aids, snacks, tissues, pain medication, etc. Someone could name something and you’d more than likely have it. He likes how prepared you are. It makes him less worried about your well-being when he’s not around, because he knows you can take care of yourself.

🔥 The first time Kabu got a taste of your rage, it was when someone couldn’t understand Allister when he decided to be brave one day and order his own food, but obviously his anxiety got the best of him. The vendor snapped at Allister and you didn’t hesitate to drag the vendor through the dirt, and although you said some unsavory things, Kabu felt himself blush.

🔥 It was just attractive. Very very attractive. He showed you how much he loved that side of you later that evening.

🔥 Overall, Kabu feels like he lucked out with you. You’re the person of his dreams and he can’t wait to see what else the future has in store for you two.

Ur post about jjs style reminds me that on season 3 jjs outfits were a bit more reflective of his life situation. the shirts were mostly the ones he has gotten from past jobs so those were given to him as part of the uniform and the same old two washed out and broken shorts. his best outfit in the season was his outfit on 305 (and i think that’s because he was going to see kiara at his parents house) and the one at the ceremony of course because he finally has clothes he can buy for himself that are well fitted and matches his personal style. for s4 i imagine his style still pretty similar with the cargo pants and boots but brand new and some cool jackets with his brand new bike.

I noticed this season that kiaras outfits were a little bit more romantic while still keeping her earthy color palette. her outfits used to be a little bit more easy going and edgier like she would throw the outfit she found first but this season there’s a lot more thought into her outfits. they were more elaborated and so were her hairstyles so this is me just imagining kiara in front of her mirror making an effort in her outfits because she’ll be seeing jj like any teenager in love would be. her little outfit on 304 was so cute and so was her hairstyle and i just imagine her picking it specifically to go see him. there were a lot of romantic looks for her this season because it matches her state of mind. her outfit on the finale? so cute. on s4 i would actually imagine kiara following the same romantic and grown up looks but keeping that edgy style and earthy color palette. i want to see kiara in cute summer dresses. more of her in cute little hairstyles. i think it will match her since she’s in love and w the person she loves and saving her pretty little turtles.

AND, I would love for s4 to bring back midsummer celebration so we get jj in a suit dancing with kiara in a beautiful dress with a flower crown in her hair. PLEASE —

okay YES Kie literally dressed so freaking cute this season and I completely agree, I think it was the wardrobe department trying to get across her state of mind. she dressed up for JJ without a DOUBT and it's just so precious 😭 after a month of living on an island with him, wearing the same dirty clothes every day, desperately needing a shower, she finally got to look cute and dress up for him. even though she knew she didn't have to to get his attention or something, she just wanted to look cute for him because she loves him and it's 🥺 they're precious.

I would do absolutely anything for JJ and Kie to go together to the Midsummer celebration, Kie stunning and JJ not being able to keep his eyes off her, JJ looking all handsome and putting in effort in a suit for her because he wants her parents to like him, but also for HIM because he's never got to dress nice and go to one of these things before. And he hates it, really, because all the Kooks still hate him and he hates them, but he's there for Kie and they dance like precious beans and 🥺 and a Kook tries to start a fight with JJ and John B comes in to back home up but JJ insists they let it go and just leave because he doesn't want to make a scene for Kie 🥺

there's actually a fic I absolutely love about them going to the Midsummer after they finally get the gold, in between the time jump, and it's perfection. lmk and I can send you the link to it.

I seriously am so excited to see how the writers go with the direction of JJs character in how he deals with having so much money now. He's made comments in the show about going full Kook, so I'm curious to see if they'll keep him the same with the attitude of "I'm a Pogue I only need the necessities" or if they'll have him overspend and have absolutely everything he wants because he seriously just can. Someone in severe poverty like him to transition to filthy rich can be a really interesting concept for the writers to focus on. Poverty is traumatizing and can create very interesting mindsets with money.

Summary: Before (Y/N) and Yoongi can go and challenge the Lumiose City Gym, they're forced to work together when Team Rocket stirs up trouble again.

Lumiose City. The City of Light.

(Y/N) had never seen such a bright and big city before, so much different than anything they had ever seen in Hoenn. It was almost dreamlike and they wanted to take it in as much as they could since it was still not clear how long they would be there. “Are you seeing this, Mudkip?” They asked the blue Pokémon who was also looking around while laying on their shoulder. It let out a quiet sound of awe. “It’s so beautiful!”

Everywhere they looked they saw boutiques and restaurants and any other kind of store that one could think of on every corner. People walking around them wore clothes that made them look like celebrities, and it made (Y/N) feel a bit self-conscious for a moment. Maybe they should’ve dressed better for the occasion.

The two other trainers accompanying them also looked very impressed. “Where do you think we should go first?” Joy who, unlike (Y/N), looked gorgeous dressed in all green, had the biggest grin on her face when she caught sight of a clothing boutique nearby. “I’d love to try out some new clothes, or maybe even a new hairstyle!”

“Well, I wanna go to Café Cyclone first,” Yeonjun, the tallest of the group, said while looking at his map. “It says here that people bring out all kinds of entertainment there. There’s even a guy who impersonates all Champions from every region.”

“You guys can go ahead. Mudkip and I will go straight to getting our next Gym Badge.” (Y/N) said in a determined tone. “Right, Mudkip?”

“Mud!” Mudkip exclaimed cheerfully.

“We can meet at the Prism Tower once we’re all done.”

All three of them walked in different directions, losing sight of each other in no time. It was easy when there was so much going on around them. Luckily, though, it wasn’t hard to find the tower, considering it was higher than any other building around.

“Well… here we are.” (Y/N) stared up at the tower. It seemed much bigger when they were standing right in front of it. Scarier, too, but that did not stop them. “You ready to win our third Badge, Mudkip?”

“Mudkip!” The Pokémon replied.

“That’s the spirit!”

They only took one step forward before they heard a voice coming from behind. “So, I see you’ve made it here as well.”

Although they recognized the voice, (Y/N) turned to see who it was. As expected, their biggest rival since they arrived at Kalos was standing there, hands buried in his jacket pockets while he stared at them blankly. A cute yet intimidating Meowstic was standing right next to him, folding its little arms across its chest. “Yoongi?” (Y/N) quirked a brow. “What are you doing here?”

“Same as you. I’m here to beat the Gym Leader,” Yoongi replied as if it was the most obvious thing. “Why else would I be here?”

(Y/N)’s lips formed into a teasing smile while placing one hand on their hip, the other one they used to rub their chin pretending to be deep in thought. “Well, I don’t know, maybe because you missed me too much?”

Yoongi scoffed. “Don’t flatter yourself. If I knew that you were going to be here I probably would’ve arrived earlier so that I didn’t have to see your ugly face.”

“HEY, WHO ARE YOU CALLING UGLY?” They shouted angrily.

Yoongi’s smirk only made it worse; their face turned red in a matter of seconds. It had been like that ever since they met, when (Y/N) was training their newly caught Scatterbug near the Santalune City Pokémon Center. Yoongi happened to be around as well and could not help but comment on (Y/N)’s training skills, calling them “pathetic” and “useless”. Ever since then, they had been at each other's throats basically every time they'd meet. “I see you’re still as hot-headed as usual. That’s not going to help you if you want to become a Champion. I’m surprised you’ve even managed to win any Badges.”

“Yeah, well, for your information, I already have two,” (Y/N) said proudly once their anger subsided. They were not about to give him the satisfaction. In one swift movement, they took out their Badge case, which displayed the Bug Badge and the Cliff Badge that they had acquired not too long ago. Both were glistening due to being cleaned up the previous night. “and now, I’m about to get my third, so ha!”

Yoongi eyed both Badges with a tilt of his head, a low chuckle escaping his lips. “That’s cute,” he said, reaching into his own bag. “Why don’t you take a look at mine?”

He opened up his Badge case for them to see. Inside, there were the same Badges as theirs, alongside two additional ones. (Y/N) felt like their body was deflating at the sight. “Wh— four Badges already? How?!”

It was a question they mostly asked themselves but Yoongi felt obligated to answer. “I guess I’m just better than you.”

They glared at him, but he did not seem bothered. Even Meowstic was copying his facial expressions. “Oh, yeah? Well, let’s see who wins this Badge first!”

(Y/N) began practically running towards the tower, as if they had just started a race. Yoongi shook his head. “Don’t even bother with—”

But before they could go in, (Y/N) felt Mudkip slipping away from their shoulder in a swift second. When they turned back, they saw Mudkip being pulled back by an extremely long arm with a metallic hand. It let the Pokémon drop into a small steel cage that was being held by a familiar cat Pokémon. They were now aware of the giant Meowth hot air balloon floating above them. “Thanks for the gift, twerp.” The woman with long magenta hair said mockingly.

“We’ll make sure to make the best of it.” The man with a lavender bob added in a similar tone.

“Team Rocket!” (Y/N) exclaimed while glaring up at them.

“Those idiots again?” Yoongi said with wide eyes.

“Prepare for trouble!” Jessie began.

“And make it double!” James continued.

“To protect the world from devastation!”

“To unite all people within our nation—”

“MUDKIP,” (Y/N) called to the trapped Pokémon. “ARE YOU OKAY?”

The mudfish Pokémon cried out in panic, tears in the corners of its eyes.

“HEY!” Jessie screamed. “HOW DARE YOU INTERRUPT OUR MOTTO?”

“WE’VE BEEN WORKING HARD ON IT FOR YEARS!” James followed, sounding so upset that (Y/N) thought he was about to cry.

“YEAH. AND I DIDN’T EVEN GET TO DO MY PART!” Meowth said even louder than his teammates.

“WOOOBBUFFET!” Although (Y/N) could not understand what Wobbuffet was saying, it clearly sounded upset as well.

Yoongi stood next to them. “Hey, give Mudkip back, freaks!” he turned to Meowstic. “Meowstic, use Psybeam!”

Meowstic jumped forward and suddenly a colorful beam shot out of its paw, hitting the air balloon directly. Although it looked powerful enough to destroy it completely, the balloon remained intact. The trio suddenly laughed cruelly. “We’ve certainly seen that one before,” James said.

“That’s why this time we came prepared,” Meowth added.

“So long, twerps!” Jessie waved before the balloon started floating backward. It began to shrink in the distance as they got further and further.

“No!” (Y/N) began to run in their direction. Yoongi followed them. “They’re getting away!”

A few people nearby had begun to notice the commotion, some of them staring around in confusion while others gasped once they realized what was happening.

“(Y/N), wait!” Yoongi called. They halted their steps to turn to him, a look of desperation that made Yoongi feel… bad for them. “You’re never going to catch up to them like this.”

Their eyes suddenly welled up with tears and when they spoke up again their voice was shaky. “But they took my Mudkip…”

“I know,” Yoongi nodded. “Let me help, okay?” He took out a Poké Ball from his bag. “Noivern, come on out!”

After a bright light came out of the Ball, a large bat-like Pokémon appeared in front of them, letting out a loud cry after its release. (Y/N) gasped at the sight; they were still fairly new to the region so there were still many Pokémon they had yet to discover. “Amazing...”

‘Noivern, the Sound Wave Pokémon. A Flying and Dragon type. Noivern can fly in the dark, attacking with ultrasonic waves strong enough to crush stone. It uses its sharp fangs to defeat foes.’

Yoongi wasted no time hopping on the creature’s back, his Meowstic following along and taking a seat in front of him. “Come on.” He told (Y/N), offering his hand out to them.

Without processing what was happening, (Y/N) took his hand and hoisted themselves up and behind him. Noivern began to flap its enormous wings and soon enough they were high up in the air. It was then when (Y/N) came back to their senses, their arms wrapping around Yoongi’s torso to cling onto anything. Yoongi said nothing about that but he could feel his face getting warm all of a sudden, however, he brushed it off and went back to focus on the most important thing at the moment: rescuing his rival’s Mudkip. “Noivern, follow that balloon!”

The large Pokémon began flying in their direction, increasing speed as soon as it spotted its target. (Y/N)’s grip on Yoongi tightened as they felt the pressure of the wind on their face, but their eyes were strictly focused on the balloon, which was starting to increase size again the closer they got. Anger rose through (Y/N)’s veins and they forgot all about being countless feet above the ground. How dare they steal their Mudkip like that? The very first Pokémon they’d ever received, the one who became their most reliable partner during their long and ongoing journey.

They were now face-to-face with Team Rocket; (Y/N) saw their devilish looks quickly switch to panic once they realized that a giant Noivern was right in front of them. “All right, no more games,” Yoongi spoke up. “Give us back Mudkip!”

“After all the work we went through to make this work? We’ll pass.” Jessie stuck her tongue out mockingly at them.

Yoongi shook his head and clicked his tongue. “Fine, then we’ll have to take it away from you the hard way. Meowstic, use Telekinesis!”

The cage in Meowth’s arms suddenly began floating away from him; when all four of them tried to catch it again the cage began to move in zigzags to avoid them. It floated all the way to where the others were until it landed safely on (Y/N)’s lap. “Mudkip!” they pressed the red button on the lock and the top opened automatically. Mudkip hopped out and (Y/N) took it in their arms, nuzzling their cheeks together. “Oh, I’m so glad you’re okay!”

“Mudkip!”

“How about we show these idiots how It’s done?” Yoongi turned his head a bit, directing his words to (Y/N). When they agreed, he looked down at his own Pokémon. “Okay, Meowstic, use Psybeam; Noivern, use Air Cutter!”

Both Pokémon obeyed without hesitation and a combination of a brightly colored beam and razor-like wind shot at the balloon. At first, it didn’t seem like anything was happening, the balloon was still intact. But, after a moment, (Y/N) noticed a bent starting to form. “Let’s help them out, Mudkip,” The mudfish Pokémon nodded. They pointed at the bad guys. “Use Hydro Pump!”

Mudkip opened its mouth and a large amount of water blasted in Team Rocket’s direction. Almost as soon as it landed a hit, a cloud of smoke covered the balloon and an explosion was heard. The impact pushed Noivern backward but it managed to keep its balance alongside everyone on board. When the smoke vanished, the balloon was no longer there, and neither were the bad guys. Instead, (Y/N) and Yoongi watched as they were blasted away from them, their final words being their typical: “Team Rocket’s blasting off again!”

Like always, Team Rocket’s plan had started out fairly strong but it was nothing the others couldn’t handle as long as they worked together.

(Y/N) let out a sigh of relief. “Finally, they’re gone.”

They landed in front of the Prism Tower again after a few moments, the feeling of touching land again brought joy to (Y/N) and Mudkip especially. “You were great, Noivern. Thank you.” Yoongi said before the Pokémon went back to its Ball.

He stared at it for a second before looking back at (Y/N), who was still hugging Mudkip tight, as if afraid that they’ll lose it again if they let go. The scene made the faintest of smiles appear on his face. If there was anything that he was certain of about (Y/N), it was that Mudkip and their other Pokémon meant the world to them. Additionally, Yoongi understood what it was like to have a Pokémon being taken away like that —Team Rocket had attempted to take his Pokémon at some point as well— so he was glad that everything worked out in the end.

After Mudkip climbed its way up to the top of (Y/N)’s head they turned to Yoongi. They scratched the back of their head and stared down at the ground. He failed to notice the blush of embarrassment appearing on their cheeks. “Yoongi—”

Before they could speak, both of them heard the sound of applause around them. The people who had seen the entire thing go down were cheering for them like they had just given them the performance of a lifetime. It reminded (Y/N) of an audience watching a Pokémon Contest; it took them back to whenever they and Yeonjun would watch Joy and other Coordinators competing on stage. “That was brilliant!” a man, looking to be a few years older than them yelled out.

“And romantic,” a woman who was probably in her thirties added with a dreamy look on her face. “A boy who’s willing to risk his life to save his partner’s Pokémon is definitely a keeper!”

(Y/N) and Yoongi looked at each other in horror. “No, we’re not—”

“I would never—”

But the crowd was not listening, still shouting with excitement. Yoongi glared at them before catching Meowstic’s eye. His Pokémon sniggered teasingly, and he had never felt so betrayed in his entire life. “All right, that’s enough of you.” He said while taking out Meowstic’s Poké Ball. It burst out laughing, and that was the last thing that Yoongi saw before it went back in.

Amid the loud cheering, two familiar faces appeared from the crowd, panting like they had just run an entire marathon through the city. Yeonjun was holding a small bag in one hand while Joy was holding several in both arms. (Y/N) had never been happier to see her friends again. “Took you guys long enough.”

“We came because we saw everyone gathering here,” Yeonjun said after his breathing finally evened.

(Y/N) turned to Joy, then gasped as soon as they noticed something. Her long hair, which was a dark brown the last time they had seen her, was now a vibrant red color. “Joy, you dyed your hair again?”

She beamed while running her fingers through it. “You like?”

(Y/N) chuckled. “Sure. It fits you pretty well.”

“Why, thank you!” She said brightly. “Anyway, what did we miss?”

The sun was beginning to set while the four of them sat down at a table inside the Pokémon Center. The whole situation drained them so much that they all decided to just stay the night so that (Y/N) and Yoongi could challenge the Gym Leader the next day.

Joy’s eyes were wide and Yeonjun was shaking his head disapprovingly as soon as (Y/N) finished telling them about their encounter with Team Rocket. “They never seem to stop, do they?”

“And they probably would’ve gotten away this time if…” (Y/N) looked at Yoongi through the corner of their eye, then sighed. “Well, if Yoongi hadn’t been there to help.”

They hated nothing more than complimenting him, partially because Yoongi would never let them live it down, but this time they felt like they had to. It wasn’t the first time that Team Rocket tried to take Mudkip away but it was the first time in a while that they had seen them around Kalos. Usually, (Y/N) was a bit more prepared, but this time they gave into the shock of everything happening too fast, it seemed.

When they finally gained the courage to fully face him, they did not see the usual smirk they were expecting. Instead, his eyes were glued to the table while his arms were folded, his lips in a thin line as if he was in deep thought. No snarky remark, no mocking comment, nothing. (Y/N) did not know whether to feel relieved or feel worried. “That’s so cool!” Joy spoke up instead, sounding very impressed. “Oh, I wish we would’ve been there to see it.”

Yeonjun rolled his eyes. “It wasn’t a performance, Joy, it was a group of thieves who have been on our backs since we started traveling together.”

She shrugged. “Still, it would’ve been nice to see them get beat up.”

“Well, hopefully you guys won’t have to see them again any time soon,” Yoongi stood up. “Anyway, I better get going. I’m going to take this opportunity and train my Pokémon a bit more for tomorrow.”

The three of them stared at his back while he began to walk away, (Y/N) feeling something tug at their chest, almost like an urge that wouldn’t stop bothering them. They stood up quickly, trying to catch up with him before he could step out. “Yoongi!”

He stopped in his tracks, turning around with a confused look on his face. (Y/N) stood in front of him, looking like they were struggling to say what they were thinking. The words were simple enough, but somehow it was so difficult to look at Yoongi and just say them. They shut their eyes for a second, trying to gather as much strength as they could to finally get it over with. “Thank you. For helping me today. I will make it up to you.”

He stared at them blankly for a moment. Yoongi was never too expressive, at least from what they’d seen. This time, however, (Y/N) saw a genuine toothless smile on his face. It was quite the sight. “You can make it up to me by winning tomorrow’s battle.”

(Y/N) had not been expecting that answer but, at the same time, they expected nothing less from Yoongi. “You bet I will,” they said. “And I’ll catch up to you in no time!”

Yoongi chuckled. His usual annoying self was back. “Doubt it.”

(Y/N) was not offended. Instead, as Yoongi exited the Pokémon Center, they simply decided to take it as a motivation to prove him wrong.
