Sagau Inazuma

When you first arrived at Inazuma, Ei tried to lock you in Musou Ishin together with her. If not for Yae Miko's insistence that you need external simulation to enjoy your life in Inazuma, you probably would not be able to see the light of the day ever again.

So, your residence changed from Musou Ishin to Tenshukaku, but what doesn't change is Ei always clinging to you by your side. You are a bit amazed and equally terrified that Ei who could change the lives of Inazuma people with her single order is always by your side.

Since Ei rarely let you out of Tenshukaku,the only ones who have the opportunity to meet you are the people from Shogunate who have assess to the castle's entrance: Kujo Sara, Yae Miko, Shikanoin Heizou, Kamisama siblings, and sometimes their housekeeper.

And in the few and far instances they have a chance to have your audience, they are only allowed to meet you through a binding screen because if dare they look directly at your counterance, they will die in the hands of Shougun's Musou no Hitotachi.

That is why Kujo Sara and everyone else in the Shogunate is seething when Arataki Itto kidnap you out of the castle to search for Onikabuto together, a worried looking Kuki Shinobu, following behind you two.

When the Tenyou commission finally finds you, you are thoroughly exhausted from playing all around the forest and walking around the city. Arataki Itto is forgiven because of your insistence but still Ei is planning to execute him the moment she gets a chance.

You have already known Kaedehara Kazuha since he is often at the Crux. So, you always visit Ritou when the Crux anchors at the harbor. But of course you are always accompanied by samurai from Tenyou commission. Even Ei who stays shut-in sometimes follows you out of her domain to the harbor.

Unfortunately, those who have few chances to meet you are those from Watatsumi Island. This again is because Ei refuses to let you go out often, much less a far away island like Watatsumi.

You often quarrel with her because of how he always wants to confine you under her eyesight. But when she cries at your feet at how she lost so many of her beloved family and friends and how she worries the same happens to you, you find yourself unable to blame her much.

However, that makes Sangonomiya Kokomi and Gorou unable to meet you unless they come to Inazuma city for negotiations. It makes the two wonder if you are angry at them and the Watatsumi Army for declaring war against the Shogunate.

But that can't be farther from truth. You always felt sorry for Watatsumi Island for their difficult situations. And you have always wanted to help them in whatever way you can.

One thing to note is that Kamisato Ayato is the only one who doesn't seem to be as devoted towards you as the others as opposed to his sister who can be counted as one of the most devotee. He respects you an appropriate amount so as not to be criticized by others. But he is not truly dedicated to you. And he is too smart for you to understand what is going on his mind so you are a bit scared interacting with him.

In contrast, his sister is ultra devoted. Moreover, unlike Ei who is very controlling of your lifestyle, Ayaka support you in whatever you do. And since she knows what is it like to have a life of constantly being watched and assessed, she helps you out in whatever way she can if you want some peace and quiet. So, she is one of the few people who gained the honor of calling theirselves your friend.

Another one you are scared of is Yae Miko. But unlike Ayato, you can feel her love for you. But still she is a sly fox who is always teasing you or troubling you with her antics. Despite that, she is really sharp when it comes to you and Inazuma's situation. So, you, like Gorou, are a bit nervous around her.

You know Jean is very busy lady. Yet she always tries to make time for you. Sometimes you even have to drag her out of her office and make her relax. Jean, you find, is easily flustered when you play with her hair or rub her shoulders. Those actions make her feel relaxed but you being her girlfriend makes it feel more intimate in her eyes

Eula

Even before started dating, you thought Eula was a tough nut to crack. To you, she seemed so serious and levelheaded about everything. You found after you started dating that she’s flustered by the small things like holding hands and even words of affirmation and small complaints you’d shoot off every so often and she gets very shy when she is with you.

Ei

You were just some adventurer that had the luck of meeting and starting a relationship with The Raiden Shogun. You were surprised that she actually said yes and with that you got to know Ei rather than the Raiden Shougun. You found that she gets flustered/frustrated whenever you make fun of her because she doesn’t know how to cook just light teasing and jokes here and there, nothing too mean yet she does throw a wooden spoon at you in retaliation when she’s had enough. You’ve brought out a soft side to the Archon.

Ningguang

Miss Ningguang, quite the business lady in your eyes. The two of you friends for the most part meeting through Ganyu. You liked her company and she liked yours. When you asked her about making your relationship into something more, she froze and asked if you were being serious. This, of course, confused you and once you said no. She flushed red then agreed to be your partner.

Beidou

Captain Beidou is easily flustered when drunk, you noticed many times when the two of would drink together with her crew. Otherwise she the one making you flustered. But Drunk Beidou can’t take too many compliments from you or she’ll malfunction. But something that you don’t know, she remembers what you say and teases you about it the next day. There’s no end to your little loving war.

Tighnari meets the player for the 1st time

"Please Ayato don't come home." The residents of Teyvat heard your voice echoing as you pulled on the Yashiro Commissioner and the Raiden Shougun's banner. You were trying to build pity to wish for a certain someone in 3.4. unfortunately for you, you had a habit of accidentally pulling 5 stars from their banner at low pity.

For a certain Fennic fox of Sumeru, this day happened to fall on his birthday. A day where he was busy giving lectures. The lectures had been going on for almost 11 hours at this point. As he gets to his last point he hears the shooting stars falling from the background. Some who were listening got up and ran to see the shooting stars.

One after another fell turning a mixture of blue and purple. As the stars stopped they stood by the window waiting for something else to fall.

"Excuse me are you done?" Tighnari's stern look has the students scrambling to retake their seats.

"Thank you, as i was saying."

You run around with Kaeya playing Akitsu Yuugei gaining primos as your score raises. Having enough for another wish you spend your primo on Ayato's banner. Another blue wish passes showing another useless bow. Sighing you pull out your card buying enough primos for a 2 pull.

Tighnari who was walking to his location looks up seeing a star approaching him head on. The golden light illuminated him as he heard a ping and someone's voice.

"Wait is that Nari?" He hears someone's distant voice talking. He looks around to search for the person only to see a green screen as he is forced to face forward. The screen switches between the green void and the real world of Sumeru.

As the gold star fades away his vision clears showing the road ahead of him. He continues on his way to give his lecture as he heard a tune being sung.

It's been awhile really.

Inazuma is a hard-core place, and knowing  the electro archon it's no wonder. All mightily Shogun... yes she is really powerful, but you are the incredible traveler, and your deeds saying everything for you.

It's you the one who put the end of war, of vision hunt decree. It's you the one who changed the real Raiden Ei.

It's been awhile since you explored inazuma to it's core.

It's been awhile since you found secrets of Inazuma

it's been a while since you broke Ei's shell.

It's been a while since you fell for her and it's been awhile since she accepted your confession because she loves you to.

You are the only one who can calm srotm in her heart.

But it's also been awhile since you visited. She by herself have a lot of work, and she understands that you are busy as well. She knows how hard is to be a traveler, and only thing she hopes for is to your journey not to be hard and brutal. But she wants to see you again, she wants to be with you again. She misses your smile, your warmth.

It was the day you returned to Inazuma. The day she finally could see you again. And she was so happy. She finally with you again.

You and Ei meet at Tenshukaku Castel. She missed your hugs so much. After that  you and her went for a stroll by streets of Inazuma city. Warm feeling filled her heart once more. The feeling that only you were able to make her feel that. After that you went on picnic near Mt. Yougou.  She listened to your resent stories while drinking dango milk.

It was a happy, peaceful day. The day she dreamed about.

Than night fell on Inazuma. Purple fireflies flew around the hill you both sitting at. Your head rest on Ei Shoulder, and your mind was drifting to sleep. Wind was playing with your hair carrying sakura petls to it. As she wants to fix your hairstyle a little, the wind lift up your scarf and put it to the side. And than she noticed.

You are the incredible traveler. You are really strong. Well, the fatui harbingers was defited by your hand. You was able to come as a winner from all sorts of dangers. So why she see a scar leading from your neck to your chest? Why this scar is so familiar to her.

She knows the reason.

She was a reason of it.

She left it.

She can remember that moment. She brought you to the plane of Euthymia. She wanted to you, the enemy of eternity, by her self. She wanted to make you pay by herself.

She knows no mercy in fight. She wanted you to pay for being the obstacl on her way.

She was so far away from understanding the world and the truth.

How could she do this to you, she asked herself now. The guilt she felt was unbeatable. It was so hurtful. She loves you with all of her being and she was the one who hurt you so badly.

The tears started to form in corners of her eyes.

You were woken up by the feeling  that something is off. And seeing Ei in that state was painful to you.

Her mind was so lost in thoughts so she didn't even notice you've woken up.

-"Ei? Ei, that's wrong" - you softly called her, cupping her check with your hand

-"I'm so sorry" -  she whispered. Tears falling from her eyes.

"But, there is nothing you need to be sorry about "

Her eyes returned on your scar, that became coverd after you sit up, her hand unconsciously reached out to it. Now you understood.

"I hurt you -"  Ei started, but you cut her off.

- " but it's just a scar, it's okay"

-it's not okay, I had hurt you..." her voice was so quiet, and filled with sadness...

You didn't know that to say.. well technically you had fought with both Ei and Shougun, and you can't recall who exactly left the scar... but seeing Ei like that was really hurtful. You were loss for words. What could you even say? So instead you wrapped your hands around her, hugging her as soft as you could.

She couldn't belive what you hugged her, no, she couldn't believe that you fell in love this her after all things she had done to to you.

"Ei, I really love you, and I would go though all the all the troubles just to meet you again" .

Ei hugged you tighter, getting to you as close as possible. All she needed now was you, and she knew that  you are the one that she treasurers the most.

You are the love of her life, her everything.

That moment she swears to herself that she will never be the cause of your pain, that then she is near you, she won't allow anything hurt you.

She swears that she will keep you safe, she will make you happy, but right now she only wants to be in your loving embrace

Week #1 check-in for Japanese

I wanted to separate my physical and mental health from learning a language; that's why Japanese is solo.

#3 Learn Japanese

My ambitions were bigger than my reality.

I wanted to do at least one grammar point a day, plus all Anki reviews.

Wait, I did not share my plan.

She makes Japanese grammar simple and logical. I've read somewhere that her reasoning is not always applicable to all the scenarios that can happen in real language. But I couldn't care less about that. I need enough information to parse a sentence and start immersing ASAP. If her explanation does not fill all the gaps, immersion will. Well, at least to some extent. I've been immersed in English for years, and I don't feel like I understand everything and can always express everything correctly.

Other grammar resources will come when I need them. For now, I just google what is unclear and clarify it from various sources.

I also wanted to try WaniKani, but the price is not reasonable for what is behind the paywall. And that is only the system itself, not the data. And I like Anki more than their system - I want to be able to grade myself.  If the word is difficult and I recall it after thinking, I would hit Hard in Anki; the same cannot be done in WK. And the other way around - if I make a typo, it's alright to correct it in Anki but not in WK. 

Morally, I was conflicted about it, but I downloaded an Anki deck from Reddit that is using WK resources. Even though the data are accessible for free, I felt bad. But I started going through the deck, and the mnemonics that I thought were so valuable are often pretty... weird and annoying. Quite a few of them are random names, like Chou, Jourm, Kouichi, and Shougun... Other mnemonics don't really reflect the reading correctly, e.g. 'row' for 'ryou'; I typed in 'rou' several times. I am in the system already, and more than half of those mnemonics are OK, so I will fix those that are not useful and come up with better ones for myself.

For vocab, I downloaded Japanese Core x000 Vocab decks, where x is 1 through 6. I am going through the first deck slowly, but I think it's important not to overwhelm myself with reviews.

During the first week, I realised that I also needed to add grammar to Anki. Making notes is cool, but I need to actively recall the information.

For the past week, I was consistent with Anki, so vocabulary and kanji are getting some attention. Regarding grammar, that is a bit worse - I made notes till lesson 14, but I have only four lessons in my Anki deck.

I don't have the mental power to process grammar after work. Maybe it's OK to leave grammar for weekends.

We will see how it goes.

These are the stories that Thoma indulges in with a heavy heart.. but also a morbid sense of curiosity. He conducts a warrior’s firmness to not let himself peer away from these very truths. “It’s why many villages find themselves abandoned nowadays, well before the Vision Hunts. Through the blood of the innocent, adults, children, beings that knew how to fear, the malicious blades gained their strength-- and by extension, corrupted their wielders to become harbingers of madness, blades that find a hollow resolve as the Tatarigami that’s most diminished festers anew.”

Thankfully, with a new era with the people of Sangonomiya and the Shougunate, a true effort could be made in bringing such grim tales to a complete halt.

Kamen Rider 45th Anniversary File: Gaim

After a long hiatus with clipshow series to tide fans over, Tsuburaya finally creates a brand new Ultraman Series and Ultraman to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary: Ultraman Ginga

Neo Ultra Q bring the original Ultra Q concept into the modern day as its “second season” and airs on satellite  TV.

Kyoryu plus Humans! After almost a decade, the fandom’s favorite motif of Dino Sentai returns! HEAR OUR ROAR! The invincible superstars of the 37th Sentai, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger debut! Perfect-de gozaru!

DokiDoki! PreCure runs alongside the Strongest Braves and Armored Riders as the Pretty Cure series of that year.

Garo: Yami o Terasu Mono debuts on TV and stars a new Makai Knight: Ryuga Dougai.

Kouga returns for one last outing as the original Garo in Garo: Soukoku no Maryu. This film takes a more dark fantasy approach akin to 1980s Jim Henson as it is less about the scares and boobs and more of a gothic Wizard of Oz/Alice in Wonderland tale that the whole family can enjoy with only a little blood here and there.

Gatchaman becomes a live action movie....with disappointing changes made to the source material that upset the fans, resulting in a box office flop as it made it to #6 on the charts for only its first week and then fell hard straight to the bottom in the following weeks. Fans consider it one of the top 10 worst live action adaptations of an anime. 

Another dud was the film re-imagining of the 1960s hero Tiger Mask starring Eiji Wentz.

On the more raunchy side of things, Hentai Kamen debuts on the silver screen.

Koichi Sakamoto does two solo film projects: Travelers, a sci-fi action flick starring Nao Nagasawa and Ayumi Kinoshita and 009-1, a movie that commemorated the 75th anniversary of the birth of Shotaro Ishinomori (And haunts my nightmares!)

Nuligumar Z, something that slipped past even my radar. It is a film about a Magical Girl henshin superheroine who fights zombies!

When it came time to plan the next season, Producer Naomi Takebe had an interest in breaking away from the formula a bit as the Kamen Rider series had fallen into certain patterns such as only 2 or 3 heroes each season. The first idea that came about in the Toei studio was that there would be more Riders, akin to Ryuki. The next idea was that each would have a motif unique to each of them, at first the team passed around the idea of birds and insects but Bandai suggested something completely unorthodox: Fruit.

Naomi loved this idea as it was something that was never done before and would give a unique look to each Rider to match their personality. The Toei staff test marketed kids to find out what kinds of fruit they liked, with the most popular being oranges. So they decided to make an orange fruit samurai as the main lead! 

In terms of music, Avex got a band outside their record label, reggae group Shonan no Kaze, to perform some of the songs of the show and movies with the actors who play the main heroes doing their own themes. Ei Ei OH!

As for the trinkets, the staff wanted it to be like OOO where the device was easy to swap out. (And because OOO was the highest selling Kamen Rider toys on record to date and they kept trying to get those numbers again despite OOO being a lightning in a bottle happenstance.).

Naomi had one idea about “unlocking potential” and after some brainstorming, the staff came up with the idea of using padlocks as a gimmick and enhance it with the fruit motif. But the staff decided it needed a bit more pizazz so they chose to set the show it in a “Sengoku-like setting”, thus the concept of armors came about. To add more flavor, no pun intended, they chose not just armors from ancient Japan, but ancient China, European Knights, Norse Vikings, ancient Arabian archers and a Roman gladiator!

To add to the sheer bizarreness of this mixture they added a guy famously known for a show about killing young girls in a dark deconstruction of the magical girl genre as its head writer:

Gen Urobuchi, dubbed by fans of his work as “Gen the Butcher” or “The Urobutcher.” A self proclaimed nihilist in terms of his dark style of writing, Gen’s involvement caused quite a stir in the fandom and excitement built up. This happened because the voice of Kivat the 3rd from Kiva, Tomokazu Sugita, worked with him previously and introduced him to Naomi Takebe.

Despite seeming out of place for this type of thing, Gen was a huge fan of Kamen Rider, having read Ishinomori’s Black manga when he was a teen and favorites like Ryuki (which may or may not have inspired Puella Magi Madoka Magica) as well as universal fan faves like the Kamen Rider Black TV Show.

Gen also saw this as a challenge, as he had been in a rut doing nothing but anime for a while and needed a change of pace. He was instructed to make the series like “Early Showa Era” Kamen Rider, which only made fans want to see it more.

Then we saw the costumes.....and the fandom had a schism form as some thought Kamen Rider was “ruined 4everz”.

But Gaim is now one of the more highly praised Kamen Rider shows of recent memory. Many enjoying it for going into darker territory at times, having characters you root for, a few deaths and a genuine sense of danger if the heroes fail in the later parts of the season. Also, a plot that neatly threads together (more or less).

Granted, it also had a few hiccups, like the summer 2014 film that was more or less a forced tie-in to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Kamen Rider Taisen’s plot and the awesome but forced and disrupting-a-story-arc Kikaider crossover episode to plug the movie Kikiader Reboot.

The praise was so high for the show that internet geek fan website Den of Geek proclaimed it as the best tokusatsu show in years. (I’d like to think Garo deserves that title at least once in a while and every toku franchise has its day when it hits it outta the park, but I’m just a Fox with opinion) I’d say go into Gaim with expectations leveled, as you are automatically setting yourself up for possible disappointment if overhype clouds your judgement.

If you think it is as great as everybody says, great! If you don’t like it, there are (currently as of this post) 27 other shows of varying styles and tone you can try out or other franchises of the toku genre that may be your cup of tea.

But enough yammering...It’s Lord Kouta’s stage now! ORAAAAA!

Real Name: Kouta Kazuraba

In a bustling planned community called Zawame City, the Yggdrasil Corporation provides everyday needs, from healthcare to housing to schools. Zawame used to be a small town, but Yggdrasil moved in and made it a pet project. With a large corporation running everything, people in Zawame feel it is like a “castle town” of the Sengoku Era of old.

And in this town, they call home, everyone hails to a Beat Rider song. Beat Riders are special dance groups that lift the spirits of the citizens. Beat Riders also engage in competitions for turf with other Beat Riders dance groups in Pokemon-like battles using Lock Seeds to summon monsters from another dimension called Inves. One former dancer is Kouta Kazuraba, who has given up his life as a member of Team Gaim and fun to basically adult. (I know that feeling all too well). This has caused a rift between his friends such as Mai as he no longer has time for them and after spending time with Team Gaim’s leader Yuya, goes back to his adult life.

Yuya later talks to a Lock Dealer named Sid, who offers him something to turn Team Gaim’s luck around after their loss to Team Baron...

Kouta later gets a text from Yuya, telling him he found “something good” with an image of a strange device sent as an attachment. Mai and Kouta then encounter a dimensional tear and go inside it, After Kouta picks some strange fruit from the dimension, a larger Inves appears and attacks Mai. They find the device lying on the ground and no sign of Yuya anywhere. Kouta puts on the device, as it looks like a belt buckle and it causes the fruit he was carrying to transform into Lock Seeds. The Inves finds them and chases them again back into their world, and after distracting it, Kouta uses the belt and a Lock seed to become what would later be dubbed an “Armored Rider”.

During his battle with the Inves, a mysterious blonde woman appears to warn Kouta that what he chooses next will determine the course of his fate. If he continues to continue, he will be forced to fight until the very end. Kouta kills the Inves and then goes down a winding path of mysteries, alliances, betrayals and revelations of the dark truth of both Yggdrasil Corp. and the Inves.

Looking back on it, that was when the gears were just starting to turn. But, we didn't realize anything at all. We didn't know that our fates were already written in stone. We just wanted the power to reach our dreams. We thought that helped shape us. That's what we all believed. In the endless war that was yet to come. We would discover that for ourselves.

Powers:

Enhanced Strength from the various armors, skilled weapons user with various weapons at Gaim’s disposal which is further enhanced by his final form.

The Jimber Forms give Kouta a specific enhancement: Super Hearing in Jimber Peach, Super Speed in Jimber Cherry and Enhanced Power in Jimber Lemon. Kachidoki Arms generates fire from the war flags that Gaim carries and has an AWESOME Gun that turns into a Zanbatō!

When the “Madoka moment” happens in the show, Gaim basically becomes a demi-god. He has florakinesis, teleportation, spirit mediumship, telepathy, attack nullification, exorcism, healing powers, dream walking, reality warping, time travel (by way of the golden fruit), portal creation, resurrection ability and a healing factor. Kouta also possessed the power to terraform an environment as large as an entire planet.

Even if his Lockseeds are damaged, Kouta can regenerate them to working condition as long as he is alive and bears the power of the fruit.

Kiwami Arms can summon multiple Arms weapons which Kouta can manipulate via telekinesis to attack his opponents (as seen in the game All Kamen Rider: Rider Revolution).

Weaknesses:

Before the “Madoka moment”, all one needed to do to defeat Gaim was destroy his driver as he was an ordinary human or swipe away all his Lockseeds. He also was susceptible to mind control and “Dark Henshin-ed” once in to a black version of Gaim.

As a demi-god, it is shown that while Kouta is a formidable opponent, certain beings can drain his power away rendering him human again and thus able to be killed (Ex. Megahex). If the “back-up” of his genetic data inside the Kiwami Lockseed is destroyed, then Kouta would be dead and gone forever as he would have no means of reviving.

He also can be overpowered by stronger beings, though ones of such god-like cosmic threat level are few in the Kamen Rider universe.

Given his near God-tier status now though, it is a difficult task to even make a dent in him for the average Rider.

Yggdrasil is a major multinational corporation run by the Kureshima family. They set up their new HQ in Zawame seemingly out of interest in a city development project, but have a more serious ulterior motive in stopping a mass outbreak of the Inves that they believe will wipe out humanity.

Despite this seemingly noble goal of saving humanity, Yggdrasil’s means of doing so are morally questionable at best and outright horrifying at worst.

Word eventually gets leaked that they were going to let 6 billion humans die as they could only save 1 billion in the event of mass outbreak if the Helheim Forest spread. They are then labeled as terrorists by the UN and after a domino effect, including a siege of the Zawame Branch by the Inves, the company went into bankruptcy.

However, its former CEO does try to repent for his company’s sins by helping rebuild Zawame and protecting it in Kouta’s absence.

(Though the Melon Lord wasn’t a bad guy to begin with, just a bit arrogant and misguided in believing there was no other way to save humanity and things went out of his control as the series progressed. Kouta eventually got through to him and the two became friends.)

You were downstairs in the house that you two shared, just sitting on the couch reading a book. Your loved on the other hand was upstairs in the bedroom that you two shared, missing your warmth.

“If you’re not in bed in the next 10 minutes, I’m coming to get you!” You could practically tell that he was smiling as he shouted at you, it’d been a long day and all he wanted was cuddles.

As much as you wanted to go up there and be in his arms, you wanted to see what he was going to do if you didn’t come in the time limit. “I don’t think i will, i need to finish these chapters!” You weren’t actually going to read, just trying to get him riled up.

You pretended to be reading as you heard his footsteps, his breaths were heavy, it’s cute when he’s tired. “Y/N.” He spoke with so much softness that you could barely hear him, your guard went down. That was your mistake. He took the book out of your hand, gently setting it down on the table in front of you. When you two made eye contact, you met his tired eyes with a cheeky grin.

Thoma’s hair wasn’t in it’s usual ponytail, it fell on his shoulders, he looked like an angel. The headband that he’d wear all the time wasn’t on him, revealing the creases on his forehead by how hard he was pouting. His eyes, oh his eyes, they were staring right back at you, the light in the living room bounced off of them like gold. They glistened with love for you.

“Thoma-“ He bent down to you , thinking he was going to kiss you you relaxed your whole body. A small giggle escaped him as he looped his hands around your back and legs - picking you up bridal style. The sudden change of height startled you, he picked you up with ease. “Let me down you fiend!” You tried to pry yourself off of him but to no avail, he was too strong in this position. “Your highness didn’t want to come upstairs, so I’m just going to have to force them.” He narrated as he held you tighter as he rushed up the stairs, for a person who was tired he certainly moved very quickly. Accepting defeat you wrapped your arms around his neck, already planning your revenge on him.

Kokomi

You were alone in the bedroom, yet again. Most nights were like this, it was to be expected though. After all she does lead a whole resistance against the all mighty Raiden Shougun.

It was already 1:30am and there were no signs of her, curling up the blanket and hugged it closely, pretending it was her. Sure you saw her in the day, on some days , but it wasn’t the same. It’s intimate moments that you two share alone that truly make the most impact.

“Y/N…” You heard her soft voice break the silence of the night, she sounded sad yet so tired. Lifting you head to see if she was there in the doorway , there she stood. Her small figure staring at you, with a guilty expression on her face. “I’ll join you in a second dear, let me change first.”

Through blurry eyes you watched her, she took her hair out of her usual style. It fell all the way down to her knees, she looked like a girl straight out of a fairy tale. As she took off her clothes, you could see the faint scars that were littered across her body from the war, yet she still looked magical. When she finally changed into her pijama, she didn’t look like someone who was leading a war, she looked like a regular person. You could feel like you fell in love again. “So you want cuddles, that’s it?”

Kokomi laid down next to you, facing you. Her face was a mere few inches away from yours. “I’m sorry I’ve barely been around you like this.” She stated as she started to try to pry off the blanket off of you so that she could have some warmth, “it’s okay, you don’t have to apologise. I know that you’re a busy and powerful woman.” She managed to get the blanket off of your grasp, carefully putting it over herself too.

She wrapped her hands around you waist an put her face in your chest, you knew that in the morning you were going to wake up alone, but it’s moments like these that Kokomi shows her love. You two couldn’t wait for the war to be over, the life that you two would share.

Gorou

You were walking around camp looking for the Traveler to ask a few questions about their skills, there had been rumours around that it was them who managed to live after a duel with the Raiden Shougun.

You spotted some stray dogs that were also walking around camp, as if they were searching for something too. It wouldn’t hurt to pet them would it?

You bent down and started stroking them, they all swarmed around you, there was no escape. You were going to be stuck there for a while. They were all happy to be around you, their tails wagging in delight. “Y/N?” Gorou walked up behind you, with amusement in his voice, “you good there?” he bent down at your level, shoulders touching, as hard as he tried to stop it his tail was wagging too.

It was cute that someone so high up in the war, a General even, would be reduced to his tail wagging at the sight of you! “Clearly not, they’ve captured me!” You overdramatised your words in a playful manner, with so much death and war around you it was nice to have moments like these. “Well luckily for you I’m here to-“ “General Gorou! Her Excellency wishes to see you immediately!” His ears perked up immediately, a small frown came across his face. He just wanted to be with you.

“Quick, kiss me.” He whispered quickly, his eyes meeting yours. “Huh?” Was all you could manage to say before he gently smashed his lips onto yours, his lips were so soft, it was like he was wearing chapstick. His calloused fingers caressed your cheek, deepening the kiss a little bit. When he pulled away, a shade of red was covering his face. He smiled sheepishly at you, he got up quickly and started to fast walk to where Kokomi wanted to meet him.

Walking away his tail was wagging much to his dismay. He was like a puppy in love. The dogs that were once around you started to bark and run away, it was as if they were happy with something. The one that Gorou was petting gave you one quick lick on your hand and sprinted away in the same direction Gorou went in.

You didn't remember what the dream had been about. At that point, you were willing to place guesses on just about anything; the Raiden Shougun taking your vision, her blade sparking up with lightning, it's purple streaks as it climbed up your skin. A valid fear, considering the times.

You had not even screamed, or started awake. You only opened your eyes, realizing you were indeed not in front of the Raiden Shougun, or listening to Thoma's shouts and pleas as she rose her sword to strike. Your heart rate, however, matched the pace as it was in your dream. You rose your hand to see it had been shaking. You sighed through your nose, hoping your little movements didn't wake the man beside you.

Thoma deserved as much rest as he could get. He had been working so hard the previous day, maintaining the Kamisato estate with the occasional help from you and the other retainers in the area, but he was stubborn and said you worked just as hard as he did. You truly begged to differ.

After taking a deep breath, you attempted to escape the comforting warmth of the sheets beneath you. The chill of night immediately caressed your skin and you shivered; sudden regret flew over you, but you didn't want to risk waking Thoma. Surely the up and down movements would stir him awake.

The estate was quiet at night, though quiet as one could get. In the distance, a side rumbling of thunder could be heard, probably from the neighboring island. Still, despite your possible dream, it was comforting. It told you she wasn't near you. She was far away, and you were okay.

"Taking a late night stroll?"

You jumped, clutching a wooden pillar with all your might. "T...Thoma?" He was awake.

He looked sleepy, which you found oddly cute. His normally combed blond hair was a bit messy, down and not in its usual ponytail. You felt a twinge of guilt surface in your stomach; perhaps your removed weight created a disturbance.

"You're not as sneaky as you try to be," he explained, soft smile accompanying his sleepiness. As if you said something sour, his mood instantly changed. Worry had replaced his smile. "Is everything alright?"

Ah.

You tried to bite down the tears, your nose began to itch with the threat. "Yeah. I'm...I'm fine." No. Don't cry. Please.

Thoma softly said your name, and the dam had broken. You began to cry, though it was quiet. The man took only a few steps before reaching you, arms around you in a protective manner, hand sliding through your hair just the way you liked it. You most likely didn't even need to explain to him what happened--he already knew.

"You're okay," Thoma mumbled, lips touching the top of your head. "It's alright."

"I'm sorry for waking you..." You found yourself saying. He only shook his head, parting you from him to cradle your face in his hands. His thumb caught a tear that had escaped.

"You never have to apologize for that. If you need me," he gazed deep into your eyes. "you know I'm here."

The flow of your tears became heavier. Relief, perhaps? You couldn't tell.

You didn't realize the soft rumbling in the distance had stopped.

Kazuha x sibling!reader – general HCs (gn!reader)

Kazuha isn’t an overprotective person but he still makes sure that the ones he loves are safe and sound, no matter what it might cost. He’d never let anyone or anything cause harm to you, especially since you’re pretty much the only family he has left. There’s basically nothing he wouldn’t do for you, that’s for sure.

He’d prefer to keep you out of trouble altogether but he’s not delusional – he’s very well aware that he can’t shield you from the whole world, particularly not the Shougun and the Vision Hunt Decree. However, he definitely tries his best to protect you, even more so after everything that happened to Tomo. Speaking of that: under no circumstances would Kazuha have left you in Inazuma after the death of his friend. It was dangerous to flee the country together, yes, but it would have been even more dangerous to leave you behind – not to mention that it would’ve broken his heart to be without you.

Kazuha is an incredibly supportive person and always there for you when you need him. As your brother, he kinda sees it as his duty to cheer you up whenever you’re sad but he also respects your boundaries. If you don’t want to talk or just need some space, he definitely won’t push you to tell him what’s wrong. He makes sure that you know that you can always count on him though.

Having you by his side makes it a lot easier to be away from Inazuma. Even after everything he had to go through there, it’s still his home and he has a lot of good memories about it. Talking about the old times with you really puts a smile on his face almost every time.

If there’s one thing Kazuha couldn’t bear, it’s losing you. After Tomo’s death, he has a great fear that something could happen to you too and although he tries not to think about it too much, it really upsets him sometimes. That’s one of the reasons why he’d never allow you to join the resistance. It’s just too risky, and although he gets that you want to help, he definitely wouldn’t allow it because it would shatter his heart into a million pieces if something happened to you.

So from the ori anon with the reincarnation idea, it was vigil kazuha reincarnated to ori genshin. But this time he still has his sister as well, his sister. Kazuha will cling on her like glue and will never leave her alone. Boys coming her way? He will cry just to make her sister avoid them. Ayato and Ayaka coming to visit? He will cling to mc very tightly and make sure Ayaka doesn't do that pretend wedding again. And in the day Tomo was going to battle the Shougun? Yeah, Kazuha will probably try 10 times harder to drag his ass away from there. And he will probably already suggest going to Liyue just before the vision hunt decree started. Basically he will do everything in his power to avoid the death of his sister (and Tomo)

A second chance doesn't swing by so easily, so it's a given that he will do whatever it takes to prevent most tragedies.

But some events are important precursors, some are necessary, so despite having the power and knowledge to change fate's course... well, what's worse than changing it and leading to the unknown? :")

Okay, the promised is debt.let"s talk about Gintaka moments!!!

I said a long time ago I was gonna do a compilation of Gintaka/Takagin moments. And I will deliver right now! (op skimmed the jp twitter and is excited/can’t wait to see the movie )

Ok, no, this will be mostly my disorganized headcanons, moments where I can see the ship with my shipper googles on, some paralels? Haha, honestly just to show the ship some love!!!

It’s also my perspective on why I love this ship!!

Of course, I'm going to talk about all the series and go back and fort, so there’s going to be spoilers all around, so if you have not seen the manga end, best skip it.

So, I started shipping  Gintaka/Takagin  after the Shougun Assasination arc, best  strangled friends story I have ever seen.  I like a lot of Gintoki ships, but it became my favourite really fast. Then, looking back, I noticed these haha:

the first meeting in the show (ep 17). I know it was threatening, but watching it again the fireworks exploded over their heads as they met.Isn’t that  a romantic troupe? (and also in this scene makes Takasugi face scarier, haha). And also how Gintoki stopped Takasugi blade, so obvious for point one that they knew each other.(the interactions here are so painful in retrospective 'When his father saw his son's head, imagine the rage he felt?😭')

(and then there’s also , in the extra episode where the yoroyuza go to China, they help a poor dude with his first date with a girl, and Gintoki comments how the first date  should have fireworks, haha, at the time there were some images on pixiv of child Gintoki and child Takasugi seeing the fireworks together, it was so lovely, good headcanon!)

There's the Senbonsakura arc, and Takasugi appearing at the reunion scene looking at the moon, woah (there's also them crossing paths, but that's more dramatic of the ideologies maybe, still this a shipping post so ' them crossing paths there, the athmosphere of fated (rivals) people!!!')

Let's talk about the movies for a moment: in the movie version of the Benizakura arc, Gintoki dreams with Takasugi, and IDK, but for how haunting it is, it also feels intimate, and that makes it hurt most.

About the second movie when we saw it we didn't know what the hell happened to Takasugi, but looking back he's dead by that time....maybe. (why didn't you give us a clear answer at the end sorachi).Okay but for practical purposes of what the cast knows he's dead (maybe...ahhh let's says it's like that) and well, haha, gintoki of the future dying looking at the sunset haha don't think of him daydreaming things.(When I saw the movie I had the impression that takasugi was dead, for both katsura clothes that are not called as a joke, and future gintoki 'the only one that can kill me is me', if takasugi was alive, he wouldn't let gintoki claim that so hypotrically, that's what I believed.)

There's the mini arc of the underseas dragon palace, (I remembered this one because of takasugi 'monster' form) I'm just gonna said that even if I read too much into ot there are some interesting paralels maaaaaybe, this one is a strech.

Talking about far fetched things, you people remember the Love Chorris arc? The one with the virtual girlfriends game? I think I am not the first person to point this out, but if you analyze Gintoki girl:

Gintoki selects her and (accidentally)kills her son.After that, she is bend of killing him in return in revenge. With his son corpse at her back to haunt him too.

She later confesses to him that she knew he wasn't at fault for her sons death, and that she focused on blaming him to be able to handle the pain, that she's grateful of Gintoki for understanding this.

The spirit of her son aproves their relashionship.

Now tell me this doesn't remain you of someone in particular and his relashionship with gintoki. And this is gintoki mind perspective and hopes, and fears.

(Well it probably isn't that deep, its the chorris arc, but still)

The way you can see Sakamoto’ jokes as a friend teasing because he knows they like each other. The fight when they to a red district gaining another lining.

The rajuko arc, when they exchanged blades to save the other newfound friends/family. The fucking red string of blood that they form together.

In the manga there was the famous saying attributted to takasugi historical counterpart :

'I want to kill all crows in the three thousand world, and sleep in with my heart's master'

This if I remember correctly because crows caw mark the morning, and in a brothel you have to leave.

So the meaning is ' I want to kill all crows in three thousand worlds(so that morning never comes) and sleep/stay in (forever) with my heart' master'

(Of course this could refer to shouyo, but it could be about gintoki, they go directly to meet the other)

It's a famous saying used in songs, I believe.

The part when he doesn’t want to see more rain, its of course because seeing gintoki's crying was imprinted in his mind for so long and influenced how he thinks. He is so important to him!!

And of course the final arc, where they are more open to each other,(the strangled friends are so happy to be together again) both Takasugi who finally let go of that 'burn the world down' and of Gintoki that walks besides him. The way Gintoki looks at Takasugi with a soft expression on his eyes. Matako ' I have never seen before Shinsuke sama with those eyes, I couldn't stop them'

The Glorious Days ending, that's when one (me) realises, 'oh ... this two care about each other and want to save the other' and while it isnt surprising for Gin, it was for Takasugi at the time.Rewatch the openings and endings in general, and see Takasugi place in them. IDK, he is usually the last alone waiting under the moon. And it gets me...cant really explain that.

The radio call, how we couldn’t see gintoki's initial reaction as Takasugi talked to him, gintoki even pretending not knowing (painfully bad) he didn’t know the other voice.

And of course the myriad moments in the final arc, Gintoki promply saying he is the one he wants to protect, the death sequence 'maybe we were just born under that kind of (tragic) star'

Gintoki teading takasugi that his parents would cry if they see the delincuent he is bringing home 🤣🤣.

Fuck, in the spin off Takasugi as a student novel, when he and Gintoki meet they can't keep the skit up, they talk directly to each other.

Also about the special episode, there's another...uh this is more of a paralel, and purely a headcanon, but here it goes: the yorozuya meet with kamui while trying to help a woman about her mother setting her up in blind dates, and in one moment she starts mothering both kamui and kagura and they get, well their eyes are animated different in that moment, and then they start listening to her. They were probably remainded of their own mother. And then I realised that I have seen Kamui make those eyes before (I will look for a pic, it's a very distintive shift), when talking to Takasugi. Is in one op too.

Of course the childhood friends dynamic. Regardless of nature, nobdy can deny the deep connection these two have.

I remember thinking to myself at the time 'woah, Kamui shows a admiring expression with takasugi somentimes' and now I fully believe is a childlike more like expression because takasugi reminds him of his mother(subconsiously). I can see the resemblance, especially towards the end of the series. As Gintoki and Umibozuo paralel too(both of them act like Kagura's dads) I just....haha parallel things.

There's a hundred things more, I'm sure I'm forgetting some (may add in a reblog after). All their fucking dialogue with each other is so intense. I I just love this ship sooo much
