The Proud and the Prejudice by Potrix “Don’t ruin pretty face,” a familiar, accented voice drawls. “It's only thing you have going for you.” “Fuck off, Mashkov,” Kent barks back automatically before he stills, and then slowly turns around to face the other man. “Mashkov? What the fuck are you doing here?”   Kent has annoying but well-meaning friends, a lot of (internalized) issues, and a mild  pretty bad swearing problem. But he gets to kiss a hot guy at Pride, so there's that.

hell of a feeling by blindinglights Kent’s sure this will be a huge mistake, but he finds himself angrily jamming his finger on the up button on the elevator and then on the number of the floor he knows Alexei is staying on. The game tonight was the usual back and forth Aces and Falconers games usually are, but tonight Alexei kept checking him every chance he got. And sure, it’s hockey, and this is a typical night normally. But it’s Alexei, and Alexei somehow always manages to get underneath Kent’s skin. Kent knocks on Alexei’s door, going over in his head exactly what he’ll say to him this time. It immediately dies in his throat when Alexei answers the door wet, and in nothing but a towel that hangs dangerously low on his hips. Kent swallows hard.

Just Stand Here With Me by historical_allusion Kent hears his soulmate's thoughts. Alexei hears his soulmate's music. Kent's worried this mismatch in abilities means their soul bond isn't meant to be.  And it's not like a bond guarantees a good relationship anyway. Alexei suspects his soulmate is from Vegas after their goal song echoes back in his head during a game. But no matter how hard he looks, he can't seem to pin down exactly who they might be.  All he can do is keep reaching out for his soulmate and hope he hears him back.

Sunrise Never Looked So Good by historical_allusions Alexei wasn't expecting much for his off-season training in LA.  Maybe go to the beach or see the new Star Wars World at Disneyland.  Those plans all change when he finds out Kent Parson is renting out the other half of his duplex for the summer. But a little summer romance never hurt anyone...

hey tumblr,

this is my first foray into putting my inner thoughts, writings and most intimate feelings out into the world. writing has always been my way of processing and understanding what's around me; through despair, heartbreak, joy, and peace, words have always been my sanctuary. there's something beautiful about being able to create something tangible and universal out of experiences that are inherently individual and inaccessible. to be able to remember what i felt, and to enable other people to feel what i was feeling — that's one of the most powerful things one can do.

"daydoodling" was my way of combining "daydreaming" and "doodling", because i used to doodle lyrics in class instead of actually listening. this is my way of daydreaming through life, projecting all my hopes, fears, and dreams into words and colours and doodles. i can only hope that what is my sanctuary can become yours as well, as we make sense of the mess of life together.

here's to a beautiful, messy journey ahead. :)
