I have been awake for only the gods know how long at this fucking never ending debate tournament, and the only thing keeping me alive rn are the 3 monsters coursing through my veins and spite. My nerves are so shot and I am are shaking so much I am about to glitch into the ground. I can’t tell if its from an anxiety attack, caffeine overdose, or my ascension into godhood.

Just Returned From My Debate Tournament

I won against two teams, but kept losing to the U.S Military Academy (yes they have a debate team, and they're really good), so our record overall for my team was 2-4. We did beat a team from New York University, which I'm proud of. My university did get their asses handed to them by the USMA a lot for this tournament though. However, it was a learning experience, especially about military weapons and how they work, though the process of getting schooled was not fun. Though I suppose it's for the best, I would be really concerned if the U.S military cadets did not know anything about military stuff. Overall, it was a fun tournament, with free food to boot as well.

Okay, so just got home after seeing Anyone But You. My honest take.

I went into the movie expecting it to be HORRENDOUS, but I can admit when I’m wrong. It was actually a pretty solid movie overall. The side characters were so fucking funny (GaTa you have my whole ass heart) and they held their own against each other.

Sydney Sweeney can’t act. I’m sorry, she can’t. That was the consensus coming out of the theater from people who didn’t even know the drama. Her lines fell flat and half the time I couldn’t figure out what she was trying to convey. The other half she was making this face: :3

I genuinely believe that if this movie had had a better female lead, it would have been a smash hit. Sydney just fell flat. I will give her this, I haven’t seen her in anything else (I’m not watching Euphoria, you can’t make me dammit), but not everyone can do comedy. Comedy acting is super hard, and she’s one of the ones that can’t do it, and that’s okay. Maybe she’s better in other things, idk?

Glen was pretty good, but we know he can do comedy, so that’s not really a surprise. I think he fell a little flat in this movie, but most of acting is reacting, and most of his scenes were with Sydney….so.

Anyway, I would say go see it. Not for Sydney or Glen, but for the phenomenal supporting cast. They were the ones that had me laughing out loud most of the time. Glen had his moments, but I’m not lying when I say GaTa and Bryan Brown were the true stars of the movie imo

Yesterday I was in a debate tournament in VT in real life. Last night I dreamed by best friend had met me there, and that we sat and talked on a bench with a beautiful view of Lake Champlain. I don’t remember a word we said, but I remember feeling so, so happy to see them.

"Darling as a girl prince character is so so so important for Ever after high! In the world of eah, fairytale characters all exist and work to fullfil their roles in their respective stories and their children have to do the same in order to keep the magic of their world flowing (for the longest time everyone was convinced that if they didn't follow the story theyd disapear/die) and while she wasn't the first to challange that belief, Darling was the first to state her desire to choose her own path and have it accepted by their world's magic which was huge because before everyone's best guess was "oh well ig we can't be doing that much wrong since we didn't magically dissapear" but Darling wasn't just left unaffected by the magic that was supposed to come for her, she was rewarded! When Apple was poisoned and Darling kissed her upon stating she wanted to be the saviour character in place of her brother, this counted as the prince kissing the princess which was needed to wake Apple up and it worked!! This brought everyone hope that they haven't been fighting in vain and that their world actually approved of them making their own choices.. (digression incoming, idk if it should be included but eah as a story means a lot to me so..) and honestly as a queer kid growing up in a very conservatice country, this feeling/message of "actually the world doesn't hate you, you won't burn in hell for being yourself and choosing your own way of life infact you're going to find more people are like you than you realise and all of you have a chance to flourish" was very comforting.. sorry this got long but i've seen longer propaganda lol anyway please give Darling a chance! 🌸"

Just judged a local speech & debate tournament and fuck me that took a lot out of me. Like I'm glad I did it cause I was invited and had a blast but fuck man I was there from 7:40am to fucking 7:25pm and literally judged 6 full fuckin rounds like man I was there all fuckin day and I'm tired. Thing is I completed when I was in high school (and placed at state every year to boot) and I know a thing or two about judging and what to be ranking these kids on, but I'm also a pretty easy judge to please. Idc about the content of your piece or little shit I can chalk up to you bein a fucking high schooler. Make sure your blocking is clean, your characters distinct and your speech articulate, and you're gonna get the 1 from me. It's really that simple. Where it gets hard on my end is where I judge a finals in Humorous interp and one girl's piece is just not funny at all but her blocking is amazing and she's super polished, and another guy towards the end if the round has great comedic timing but super needs to work on keeping his characterizations clean and more controlled. Like, it's The Funny event, but I gotta give more points to the girl who's clearly put more work into polishing her presentation over someone who's chosen piece just so happens to be funnier. But yea I'm glad i got invited and got to impart some genuine critique and encouragement since the circuit has been pretty lacking in terms of old talent teaching the new kids as of late. Like holy fuck there were so many kids that just didn't have the basic formatting, and I didnt wanna be that asshole judge who just writes "learn the basics. 7th" like I wanna be encouraging but you kids gotta get with your coach and make sure you know what you're doing, and GET THE FUCK OFF OF YOUR PHONE WHILE YOUR FELLOW COMPETITORS ARE PERFORMING

They also have little knowledge of their own lives, and a creeping fear that they're doomed.

Lion King 1 1/2 is the third Lion King movie. It focuses on Timon and Pumbaa's backstory, which they tell to the audience while watching the first Lion King movie in theaters. The story is loosely based on Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, in a similar way to how The Lion King is based on Hamlet, and it turns out the two of them have been observers for a lot of the events in the original movie.

remus not being conventionally attractive is why for the life of me i cannot get behind the andrew garfield fancast. same reason he doesn’t really work as peter parker for me. i can see young david thewlis though, i feel like he just looks like some guy and works perfectly. maybe i just fell in love with him at age 13 in poa though
