They say that first step of recovery is admitting there is a problem. So.
There is a chance, a small, really, an insignificant chance, probably not even worthy of mentioning, that I. Might. Have some type of grain related allergy. Maybe.
Probably not. The indigestion, exhaustion, bloating and vicious repeating cycle of recovery after dropping certain foods and the relapse after said recovery when said foods inevitably return to diet is probably just a coincidence. Right. Right? 🥺

Nutty Asian Rice Bowl + Nut Butter & Chili Sauce
This delicious brown rice bowl is a lunchtime staple for me. It's full of nutty, spicy, sweet, and salty layers- flavor fireworks for your mouth! Hands down, though, the nut butter & chili sauce is what elevates this humble meal. I like to use peanut butter, as it gives the bowl a nice Thai vibe, but any nut butter + the accompanying nut will work! And, using instant brown rice and frozen broccoli and edamame, it takes less than 15 minutes to whip up. I'm nuts for this nutritious bowl!
Bowl Ingredients: 1/2 cup chopped broccoli; 1/2 cup chopped carrots; 1/2 cup shelled edamame (or peas); 1/4 cup chopped nut (whichever nut butter you use, use that nut here); 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce; 2 tbsp water; 1 1/4 cup cooked brown rice; Nut Butter & Chili Sauce (below)
Add carrots and water to a small skillet and cook over medium heat until carrots are slightly soft. Add broccoli, edamame, and nuts to skillet and pour the soy sauce over. Cook two more minutes, or until veggies are cooked to your preference. Spoon veggie mixture into a bowl with the brown rice. Top with sauce.
Nut Butter & Chili Sauce Ingredients: 3 tbsp nut butter; 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce; 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce (pic of my favorite below); 1 tbsp honey; water
Mix all ingredients except water together in a small bowl (note that if you are sensitive to spice, you might want to start off with less chili garlic sauce). Add water sparingly until desired texture is formed. Add more water for a smoother, creamier sauce; add less for a thicker, chunkier sauce. Add more chili garlic sauce if desired.

Interacting with fandom is really fun and I enjoy it a lot but also it’s been years since I’ve agreed with general fanon characterization of even minor background characters I don’t think about much. I don’t tend to like most popular ships and when I DO like them I don’t agree with how their relationship is portrayed. I tend to prefer platonic relationships and we all know how that goes. Pretty much every relationship I have ever preferred (both platonically and romantically) is a rare pair. My favorite characters tend to have like 10 minutes of screentime and a lot of Implications. Am I a contrarian or simply Enlightened? The world will never know

// Off to bed soon.
Other half is off this week so I'm being a bit less 'work focused' with my job hunting and courses.
Off to the cinema tomorrow for a bit in the day but I'll be able to get to replies at some point =)

Chocolate Protein Overnight Oatmeal Bowl
I am always up for chocolate for breakfast, and this bowl delivers. Plus, it's so easy to prep the night before and then grab on the way out the door (when you don't spend 15 minutes plating + photographing it :}). For a filling and satisfying breakfast, I always add in fats and protein with my favorite nut butter. Even though it tastes rich and luxurious, all of the ingredients can probably be found in your pantry. My advice? Don't skip out on the fresh fruit! You'll go bananas for this healthy and satiating bowl.
Overnight Oat Bowl Ingredients: 1/4 cup nut butter; 1 tbsp honey; 1 tbsp cacao powder; 1/2 cup oats; 1/2 cup milk (I use oat); cinnamon
Add all ingredients except milk into a lidded container. Mix until oats are evenly coated, then add milk and stir evenly. Place container in the fridge and leave for a few hours or overnight. Top with extra honey, cinnamon, fruit, or chocolate chips!
