Albus, who grew up on war stories and hogwarts hyjinks staying up half his first night because he’s afraid of his peers, but doesn’t want them to know that because he so desperately and conflictingly wants to both fit in and stand out

Albus, who is bad at flying, humiliating himself in front of his peers, because he isn’t harry but isn’t Quidditch player Ginny either… Albus, who all the adults see as Harry’s extension; Albus, who struggles with charms like Lily never will, who can barely make his matchstick silver under the blue eyed portrait in the room, who struggles to parse through the moving and unequal words of wizarding textbooks, who attracts bullies like flies and doesn’t yet have his mother’s hexes to fight back

Albus, struggling to write that first letter home, to tell his parents and little sister that he’s different from them; Albus who doesn’t even get to tell them because James tells them first

Albus, who doesn’t get a green scarf and hat until after the first snow, unable to parse if it’s the color, the fact that he’s the second born, or maybe just that it’s him that made it come later than James’ had

Albus, who goes back home for Christmas and faces his father’s disapproval for befriending a Malfoy, his father’s distrust and attempts to assure his morality for befriending someone harry assumes cruel and antagonistic

Albus, having to hold awkward conversation with Rose and Ron and Hermione, because neither of the kids want their parents to know they’re not talking (they find out eventually, and though they’re nice about it, Albus knows they’ll always put Rose’s feelings first)

Albus, who is suddenly assumed more malicious and problem causing than he ever was before, who suddenly is seen as a prime person to scot the blame off to when things go wrong

Albus, who gets chosen after his sister (“just like her mother!”) during the family quidditch match; who gets meaningful looks from his Uncle Percy; whose Christmas sweaters are no longer red but never green; who suddenly cant seem to talk to his uncle ron anymore, someone who used to understand what it was like to be James’ brother

Albus potter who stradles the line of too Potter for Slytherin and too Slytherin for his family.

Albus Potter, who’s ambition has been squashed out by bullies and disregard and distrust, struggling to find his identity in a house and world that is still in the midst of undoing decades as an indoctrination machine…

The #pharma apologism tag on my blog has way more posts in it that go into way better detail but I'll just TLDR:

Fucked up things out of self preservation = Pharma killing patients to give t-cogs to Tarn who would've otherwise murdered him and all of his staff, patients, and miners horribly. Also the plague as a way to get off the planet without trying to confront the DJD directly (guaranteed death) or abandon his post (literal desertion/treason)

Making a terrible decision but idk what I would've done either = literally just the entire t-cog blackmail and plague deal, because it was established very quickly after the introduction of the DJD that they can't be talked down, fought, or run away from. Even later they're shown to be able to massacre a ship of 200 people that includes multiple outliers and some of the most renowned soldiers of the Autobots with zero losses. They can also block all calls for help to the point they're not received until weeks later. Also, during the time that the Delphi deal was happening, Autobot high command was stuck on Earth and communications went out for several years because of the events of All Hail Megatron when the Autobots literally lost the war temporarily. So TLDR Pharma couldn't run, couldn't hide, couldn't fight back, couldn't even call for help or ask for reinforcements, and had no commanders available to give him orders on what to do even if the DJD had allowed Pharma to try and inform someone of the situation. There's literally nothing Pharma could've done except comply with Tarn's blackmail and then contrive a plague (coincidentally tailored to Tarn's transformation addiction) to get the hell out of there. There is no reasonable way to expect Pharma to do with 2 doctors and a bunch of miners/footsoldiers what the entire Lost Light was incapable of doing (beating the DJD) without getting everyone under his command killed.

I've been thinking about Pipeyna’s girls today, I've never gotten to talk about their daughters

They find three teenage girls from the same Tough Love Troubled Teen Industry case Piper busts a little after they get married

Sylvia is the oldest, her mom was a tree nymph whos tree got cut down so she's been in foster care for most of her life. Margaret (Maggie) is the middle she has the sight, she was abandoned to the system at birth. And the youngest is Zimira who is 100% clear sighted, her bio mom is also clear sighted and it drove her mad so she was taken away

So here Pipeyna is, looking at these three trama bonded girls who they can't send to camp because they are too mortal, but can't place them in the mortal system because they are too magic. They are In The Middle, the same line they are riding

So they end up adopting them

YES there is a form of Albinism where it can just effect hair or eyes. I had a friend who was northern Indian who had no skin pigment and no eye pigment but his head of hair was the normal natural black.

So her's could just effect her hair.

Also it might help her hide more. Since it was Harry who said she looked much like Bellatrix.:

So her being a little different could give her free range. Move about without people with PTSD about Bellatrix going after her. Likely explains her intense make up too. Trying to hide in plain sight.
