hello, it's the anon from before again! i love the headcanons that you gave (they're all so fitting! the halloween one is my favorite), and i would love to hear your headcanons on injuries the quags got from the eagles!

Hiya! It’s great hearing from you again! (+I like how you told me you are the same anon from before!) :) Glad you liked the hcs!! :)

Headcanons for injuries the Quagmire triplets got from the eagle attack:

Isadora loses an eye to the eagles. As it’s a gothic trope to present eyes as “a window to the soul” she likes using the fact she lost an eye in her poetry a lot; either to suggest the past ripped part of her with it or that she isn’t as transparent as most people. (Or, in her most private poems, she links it to the VFD eye and how the organisation has obscured her view of the world permanently. As though their insignia is there in replacement of the missing eye.)

At the start she was sort of self-conscious about it [taking this from how it was Duncan who had the confidence to stand up against Carmelita -when she was chanting-in front of the entire cafeteria rather than Isadora. Also, in Netflix TAA when “Coach Genghis” asks for all the orphans to stand, Isadora glances around her self-consciously whereas Duncan just stares straight ahead.] and she tried covering that side of her face with her fringe/bangs.

However, after some time, she entered a mindset that was more so “if people are going to stare anyway then I may as well give them something to stare at” and decided to have a bit of fun with it by using more abstract prosthetic eyes; like one that is entirely black without any iris or pupil. That one is useful for when she wants to seem intimidating to strangers. Her brothers think it’s emo. Quigley encourages her to play pranks with it a lot and the results are often hilarious.

When strangers ask her how she lost it [scars around the prosthetic eye make it noticeable] she gives a different answer every time ranging from “using a pencil sharpened at both ends” to “What do you mean my eye is missing??!”

She’d occasionally wear an eyepatch since it fits with her aesthetic however she’d usually stick to prosthetic eyes since they’re more comfortable (bc the socket stays in shape). Other than the beloved demonic looking all-black eye she’d have a few natural coloured ones, one is the same colour as her other eye but she has others which are different natural colours to make it look like she has heterochromia (When your eyes are different colours: can be central, sectoral or-in this case-complete.)

When she’s somewhere with only her triplets/friends she prefers them to stay on the side with her real eye so she can see them however when she’s out somewhere where there’s lots of people she likes at least one person she knows to be on the side with the prosthetic eye so that nobody will (accidentally) sneak up on her.

In book-canon Quigley flew a helicopter to his siblings to try and save them from the eagles so I imagine this would mean he went higher than the balloon to try fight off the birds once he realised his siblings weren’t going to be able to make it onto the helicopter (bc they were too busy fighting off eagles) Meaning when he fell it was from a greater distance than his siblings and he hit the water with a greater impact. He ends up injuring both of his legs; the right worse than the left.

His injuries have the biggest initial negative hit on him compared to his siblings bc he’s an explorer and at the start he only sees the drawbacks of how it’ll impact his ability to explore. After time he slowly sees the more positive aspects of it, especially once he and Violet brainstorm ideas for custom forearm crutches. [sort of an abstract take on the “look at the map” vs “look at the waterfall” Vi showing Quigley opportunities+alternative ways of achieving things]

The crutches would have handles that double as a torch on one side and as a grappling hook on the other once secret buttons are pressed. The grappling hook would work in a similar way to Violet’s pasta machine invention in that it’d pull Quigley up to wherever he needs to be in a more efficient+quiet way than physically climbing would have anyway. The bottom of the crutches are loaded with (sleeping) darts that can be fired if Quigley swings them like a gun and pulls a hidden trigger on the handle. He can load them with whatever he wants though, sometimes he’ll fill them with pens so that when one of his siblings inevitably asks for one he can fire it at them unexpectedly. 🖊️

Sometimes when he’s in public in a place like the supermarket he’ll use one of these features like the grappling hook to pull himself to the other end of the room in a matter of seconds where it would take someone walking minutes just for fun+efficiency. It’s always extra fun when he hears a kid trying to explain what they saw to their parent who assumes they’re lying.

He has a couple of rice bags to heat up that help with pain; they all have maps sewn on them or drawn on with fabric paint. 🗺️

Duncan has the least serious injuries of the three; which he sometimes feels guilty about even though it’s not his fault and Quigs+Isa are glad he got away mostly okay.

He has 3 jagged scars across one side of his face from an eagle’s talons alongside a few similar scars on his arms from where he tried fighting them off. On the plus side, the scars cause him to be taken more seriously when he becomes an investigative journalist as many assume he earned the injuries on an important job.

It simply isn’t a thing that matters in their society for how their diverse, numerous, and bizarre anatomy works in tandem with each other. Considering all of her species goes by he/him, I will say her subset of Shushu also uses he/him along with she/her. Fine with a lot of terms.

Gender: Fem-Identifying primarily, but she is not cis or trans though if human, would be considered transgender in some regard. She is fine with she/him or even ‘it’, however, as again, not human.

Gender: She would be considered a trans woman in other cultures, but as a fae, she is merely considered a woman among her kind as she’s not human and fem identifying primarily, though is fine with she/him as well. Her relation to gender is much less humanized along with viewpoints.

This verse was planned from the start when I had more info for how to proceed after the show ended? so as many people following me probably don’t know because I don’t talk about it a lot, I am a furry. when I was a kid some of my favorite games were ratchet and clank, crash bandicoot, spyro, gex, sly cooper, okami, dust: an elysian tail, pokemon… final fantasy 12. I also never played but love the design of banjo kazooie and starfox. I love night in the woods. I love aggretsuko. I love animal crossing. I love five nights at freddy’s…’s visual design. against all odds I love undertale. my default race in the elder scrolls swaps between khajit and argonian. the only races I ever main in WoW are the tauren worgen and pandaren (AND VULPERA)! king is my tekken main. dark souls’ crow demons... enough said. I love zelda and in its later years it started getting more and more furry with each major installment. I love sonic the hedgehog. twokinds is my favorite webcomic. beastars is probably my favorite anime of the 2020s. and none of it is sexual. I just really love anthropomorphic animal characters!

so I just randomly realized that my name rhymes with hyena. and then I realized hey wait a minute I fucking love hyenas. so I did some research on the cultural impact of hyenas and… it’s really sad. the whole world hates hyenas. muslims hate hyenas. african tribal faiths hate hyenas. the greeks hate hyenas. jews hate hyenas. damn near every single culture in the region hates them. they’re vampires. they’re werewolves (er. werehyenas?). they’re the ghosts of cannibals (if only there was a single word for a creature that was the evil ghost of a cannibal). they’re the evil mounts that evil witches ride in the night. some real fucked up stuff. and I think that’s really sad, as I LOVE hyenas. they’re one of my favorite animals. the way they’re kinda dogs kinda cats kinda neither, the way they’re shaped like fucked up demented little monsters, the way they’re murdering bastards, the way they laugh. and I’ve heard that they taste very interesting. I’d eat em.

I'm not super familiar with the fandoms your muses are from (tho they all look great) but I do love a good villain x heroine smut. Are there villains or even just random enemies like bandits or beasts you like to pair up with your muses? I think Krystal has the Sharpclaws (not even sure that's the correct name), but that's about all I know.

All right, I just watched Hazbin Hotel.

So that means it’s AU time! Hazbin Hotel/Sly Cooper AU/Crossover, anyone? Here’s what I’m thinking so far.

Carmelita is a fox demon, similar to a kitsune, with electricity powers replacing the usual fire powers kitsune seem to have by association. In life, she was a policewoman who played too many dirty cards one too many times and ended up a demon in hell. She deeply regrets her life choices and wants to redeem herself by fighting other powerful demons and overlords to prove that she was always a “good cop.” (I’m basing this off of the idea that cops aren’t actually good Bcs of corrupt systems, so I’d imagine Carmelita feels bad for backing other cops when she could’ve spoken up, or taking hush money to stay quiet...stuff like that.) She’s about a level 5 or 6 demon, so the other overlords usually run her out of their territories. But she’s set her sights on a small gang of demons who have claimed a sizable territory for themselves.

Sly, also known as “The Ringtail Demon,” was a master thief in life. After completing many exciting heists, he was killed in a fight with one of his father’s men. There are rumors in hell that he is responsible for his gang taking over so much land and always able to hold onto it in the turf war. He’s generally considered to be annoying by other demons, particularly wealthier demons, as he and his gang are still happy to commit heists in the afterlife. Sly is actually quite a powerful demon, as his ancestry of thieves gave his soul something of an extra power boost as it entered hell, but it’s unknown exactly how powerful he is, and to what extent, because he hides his powers from pretty much everyone.

Bentley and Murray are lower level demons, who ostensibly work for Sly, though Sly considers them more friends than lackeys. Bentley forged documents in order to make it appear as if he had multiple degrees in life, until he was shot by a jealous ex, and Murray led a life similar to Angel Dust until he was killed for being queer. It’s unclear if even they know the true extent of Sly’s powers, though they probably have a better idea than most.

Carmelita, in doing research on Sly, discovers something that the Ringtail Demon would rather keep under wraps: that his family gained their wealth and reputation not only by stealing from other thieves, but by being Robin Hood, helping out poorer communities and stealing from large corporations. Obviously, she wants to convince him to “go straight” with her, and try to Rise to redemption. But Sly is just having way too much fun being a thief in Hell.

I’ve got some ideas for Sly’s powers. Definitely heightened agility, which he shows off often, and invisibility. I’m also playing with the idea of him having some sort of time manipulation powers, though I’m thinking those are more fitting for Vox, or a camera demon. (I was laughing to myself imagining Sly going, “hold on, back up,” and twirling his finger to make time rewind, have Carmelita repeat herself and then go, “hey! I just said that! 😡” Though I think I want his powers to focus more on thief stuff, like from the Thevius Raccoonus.)

I also want Sly to have some inner conflict, because his soul is sort of torn between heaven and hell, due to many of his actions being more chaotic good than outright evil. Maybe using his “true demon form” makes him feel some kinda way; perhaps ill, or maybe it gives him the unnatural hunger that you might expect from an overlord like Alastor (I.e. cannibalism)? But if he’s “too good,” then that also hurts him, because his soul can’t fully Rise due to him technically belonging in hell due to his past, and his ancestors’ pasts.

Not everyone in the Cooper family were Robin Hoods, after all. And now, Sly carries the burden of their sins...

Occupation: Heavenly Justiciar, a destroying angel tasked with eradicating both mundane and demonic threats to mortality, often acting as judge, jury, and executioner for society’s underbelly

Background from Mason’s perspective: Getting information out of Tesiraphel is like pulling teeth. I had to talk to her compatriot Sebasthiel in order to get any information about her, and even then, he was cautious about sharing anything too damning.

Tesiraphel was originally a mortal named Olivia Bernard, born in Queens. She and her older brother Roman lost their parents to home invaders when she was 15 and he was 17. From that point on, they became wards of the state, at least on paper. In reality, they were roped into working with the Specialized Laborers of New York, a criminal syndicate posing as a worker’s union.

Sebasthiel wouldn’t tell me what she did for the syndicate as Olivia Bernard, but I can infer based on previous data. A lemur woman was found dead in a Manhattan sewer passageway with several gunshot wounds across her torso. She had died holding a Mach 30 semiautomatic pistol, and the forensics indicate that she was in the process of firing as she died. There were six bodies found next to hers, five of them found with one bullet in their craniums, the last one with a cement piece in his head instead. There were signs of damage to the wall nearby, though nobody knows what sequence of events led to the sixth person’s death. Ballistics indicated that Olivia had killed the five men with her pistol.

The data strongly implies that she worked with Sergio Salvadora in dismantling the Specialized Laborers of New York. The both of them were reported to have been in altercations with similarly-dressed men within that sewer. Nevertheless, both Salvadora and Bernard’s names were kept from the press, leaving NYPD to take the credit for taking down the syndicate.

Bernard was quietly buried alongside her parents and brother upon Salvadora’s request. There was no funeral.

The morning after her death, she reappeared in Philadelphia, having taken a bus to Sebasthiel’s cafe, Little Eden. She pops in and out constantly, sometimes speaking with Sebasthiel for a short while before heading out again, sometimes doing some part-time work in the cafe as a cashier. If one intends to find her, but can’t find her in Little Eden, one may just need to look up. She will be likely to find somebody first as she flies in the Philadelphia skies or perches on high rooftops.

Holiday Time! As such, Stocking got Kneesocks a $200 gift card to one of her favourite bakeries along with some plush toy of some cute demon-dog thing. Rivet, while not aware of the holiday herself, got Carmelita a new stun pistol she might like. Judy would get Minette some fashion books she felt she might enjoy alongside various collections of chocolates!

Background: Jennifer’s childhood wasn’t easy-living from the start. Despite being raised by only her mother and older brother at an RV park, they weren’t the best influences. Her mom was both neglectful and absent towards her kids, selling her body in exchange for money, booze, and/cocaine. While responsible enough to take care of his little sister, her older brother, Joseph, had some of his demons to deal with, albeit working with a drug cartel from Paris in order to financially support his family. Eventually, at the age of 17, Jennifer and her brother had to move into their base of operations after their mother died of an overdose. Despite Joseph's best efforts to raising his little sister, it didn't take long for her to fall victim to the drugs like the rest of her family. This soured their relationship over time before ultimately breaking ties. Jennifer left to fend for herself in the streets while her older brother is chained to the drug gang he got himself into.

Personality: Jennifer's a wild card. Comes off as valiant and reckless upon the first impressions. Sticks to her own decisions and refuses to listen to others' opinions, often cursing and swearing on a regular basis. Jenny hasn't fully grown out of her teenage mindset yet. However, it's difficult to tell whether or not this is part of her character with or without drugs' influence. Funny enough, the chances of seeing Jennifer sober are low but never zero.

Likes: This possum just LOVES getting high! She's tried a few shots and sniffs during her stay in the cartel. Her favorites include marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and LSD. As for drinks, she leans towards the hard stuff: Brandy, rum, beer, and tequila. Once Jennifer gets into an inebriated state, she wants nothing more than to rain havoc on the streets! Breaking & entering, causing fights, vandalism, just utter chaos. Jenny actually has a love interest as well. (A character I'm not gonna reveal him yet😉)

Dislikes: Restrictions are #1 on Jenny's hate list. Whether it was due to the absent mindfulness of her mother or the strictness of her brother, Jennifer always craved for freedom. Hence why she ditched the drug gang in the first place. The rules there weren’t towards her favor and she didn’t participate much with the gang’s activities. It’s also why Jennifer and her brother, Joseph, split ties. Despite being close as kids, life within the cartel and the influence of drugs have caused them to separate, unable to reconcile. Cops have also been another nuisance in her life. Back in New Jersey, her family weren’t very well-liked by the local police and are sent to either home or to juvenile detention. Now in Paris, Jennifer has to be wary on the chances of running into Inspector Carmelita Fox again, or it’s going through one of her numerous pointless lectures again. And avoiding the handcuffs.

Strengths: When it comes to her weapon of choice, it’s gonna be the wooden baseball bat that she had from middle school. Having played in a baseball team, Jennifer can throw a mighty swing! And even without it, she doesn’t mind fighting rough and dirty. She’s her tail, clawed fists, and sharp teeth at her disposal.

Weaknesses: Obviously, this possum has a drug addiction. A habit that she either refuses or neglects to quit. Unlike the infamous Sly Cooper or second-rated Cyrille Le Paradox, Jennifer has little knowledge on the arts of thievery. Specifically on stealth. Quiet is not a part of this opossum’s dictionary. She’s also shown to be completely reckless and uncooperative from her brother and Inspector Fox’s experiences. Every warning just goes through Jennifer’s hearing.
