One of my favorite tropes/HCs is that Kaeya and Diluc have more than a year of age gap (around 2-3 years)
Kaeya would have always been smaller than Diluc their entire youth, maybe even up until Diluc's 18th birthday, because Kaeya would just have started his sudden growth spurt at that time.
Diluc must have started knights training young considering he became a captain by 14, so of course Kaeya would soon prefer to start training early as well just to be with Diluc more.
This would, of course, turn everything that occurs later even more tragic.
Kaeya, still in his mid-teens, would lose another father.
Diluc, in rage and disbelief, attacking Kaeya and immediately regretting it once he saw how young the other looked against his raging flames.
Diluc making the hard decision of leaving to learn more about their father's death (because no one else would, and who else better to do it than himself). Kaeya telling him when and how to go.
Diluc selling the manor, their childhood home, and Kaeya having no say in it simply because he is not of age.
Kaeya also having no say in business proceedings other than letting his opinions known
Diluc returning home only to see Kaeya who had become an alcoholic in his time of absence (and him wondering how this happened)
(note: With this age gap, at the start of the game, Kaeya would have just been 19/20 for Diluc's 22/23. Kaeya would be 15/16 when Diluc left.)

The Ghost Boys and Finney would absolutely dominate paintball.
They would be in teams red is Robin, Finney, and Griffin. Blue is Vance, Bruce, and Paperboy!
Griffin would probably make paint bombs, and camouflage,
Vance and Robin would steamroll their way through the game,
Bruce would outrun everyone and their guns,
Finney would outsmart people with traps or use the environment to his advantage,
and I think Paperboy would be a very proficient sharpshooter mainly because I think his dad would take him hunting, and he would use anywhere high up as a vantage point.

Well I’m finally just gonna go for it
Want a doodle of your favorite character like one of these?
Donate $10 or more on Ko-Fi with a character (try to be specific if they're from media I might be unfamiliar with) and color(if you want the sketch in a specific color) in the message and I’ll make you a little doodle
I can’t do full commissions right now but I can handle little doodles
Also if you want to see art and comics early you can become a $3 Patreon!

Might be a hot take but a major character’s death is really only as good as the weight and the treatment that the narrative gives it. Sure, any author has the ability to write death as they see fit. But whether the consumer (of any given form of media) is actually able to emotionally connect and resonate with the departure of someone who has occupied a good chunk of narrative space very heavily depends on how it’s treated within the story. If it’s a major character, the narrative needs enough built-in breathing space. As in, the consumer doesn’t have to fill in the blanks as to how the death impacted the plot or the remaining characters. Let the narrative do that for them, and that would actually allow the consumer to better react and relate to that major death (sadness, anger, joy, etc). Allow the rest of the characters (who were impacted by the deceased) to react to their parting. Let them engage with the death in a manner that helps justify the character’s inclusion in the narrative to begin with. Make it clear how the character’s life and (especially) their death relate to the larger themes of the story. Because most consumers aren’t stupid. We don’t want our hands held at every waking moment, but we also don’t want our investment in a story to be insulted just for the sake of a cheap shock. Give us time to breathe and grieve. And respect that we have put in a lot of emotional investment in a story and its characters, and we deserve to have that acknowledged.
