i saw your post about percy and annabeth kiss in boo and how you think it’s ridiculous that people think percy and annabeth are better as friends. well guess what? i’m one of those people. i hate how the main male and female leads are always forced together and that’s exactly what riordan did too. percy and annabeth would have been so much stronger if they had stayed this super amazing platonic friendship where everyone thinks they are going to date but they are like nah we just besties. and i think seeing that is a lot more powerful than just another badly written teenage romance. their chemistry feels forced and unauthentic, they obviously get annoyed with each other way too easily to be in a relationship, and they become dangerously co-dependent. and fine, maybe they would date for a few years since everyone would make them feel like that’s what they are supposed to do. but then i think they would realize that they are better off as friends and don’t actually have romantic attraction for each other. and that’s exactly what i think would happen if the author was true to their characters and not just writing for himself. but honestly i think there is a solid chance that they are both asexual, which there is a TON of evidence of, and wouldn’t even want to date in the first place. so sorry not sorry but percy and annabeth are definitely better as friends, and the people who don’t get strangely obsessed and attached to a basic and forced romantic pairing can see all the evidence in the books as to why.

you have every right to believe whatever you want to believe. your imagination is your own. go crazy. or don’t. but it’s your own opinion and you have every right to have it.

however, to openly claim that the author isn’t staying true to their characters is not your right, because he is the one who invented them. they are his creations, so he’s actually the only one who knows exactly what’s right for them. the characters are based off of him and his wife who he has been married to for many many years - who are still very much in love with each other to this day - so i think percy and annabeth are actually one of the most authentic romantic pairings of all time. i am sorry that you don’t pick up on their naturally written chemistry and attraction for each other, because i think it’s a very important part of the story. it’s a very important part of their characters and their actions.

and you are absolutely right about one thing: they are best friends and love each other very much in a platonic way, and we DO see that a lot! it’s very clear that they are best friends first, and have that as a strong foundation. but they also have more there. they have strong romantic, and some implied sexual, feelings on top of it. and that’s okay too. it’s possible to have both a strong friendship and a passionate romance. that’s what makes them such an incredible pairing, in my opinion. they grow together. they start off as platonic friends and turn into young adults who are very much in love. it’s very natural, especially given everything they go through together.

so you can totally hc them as being just friends. thats okay! but i don’t think it’s okay to call other people wrong or blind or “strangely obsessed and attached” for believing in a romantic pairing that is very much supposed to be romantic.

lately ive been focusing on the void and waking up there every morning, because with school i cant rlly actively attempt to go there awake anymore. just during the weekends. so here's everything i do, not only void related but also jst shifting and manifesting wise.

ᡣ𐭩ྀིྀི goals : shift in seconds, enter the void every time i wake up, have the 3d bend to my will more easily

. ݁₊ ⊹ morning: i get ready for school, as painful as it is. this is when i like to remind myself of stuff the most, like how i shift in seconds and stuff. i usually have something in the background like a show or subliminals depending on how i feel. in the shower is where i start visualising my dr a lot. random thought but this is literally my last year of school in this reality and i swear im feeling smth 😭

. ݁₊ ⊹ school: on my way i daydream a lot. i daydream hours per day and its not rlly something i can control BUT i have been trying to lately, and have it 50/50 like daydreaming half the way and affirming the second half or daydreaming on the bus and affirming when i walk. during class, if the teachers allow it i put on calm songs that i'd put in the innerspace and visualise myself studying there. during launch i listen to stuff for the void :P whenever i find myself bored at school with a notebook laying around i write down my robotic affirmations.

. ݁₊ ⊹ afternoon: i put on void affirmations (no music) because i automatically repeat them when i hear them :D and i add a morphic field with that. its usually layered (field in one tab and affirmations in the other) but i also like to listen to the field after the affirmations. usually the field triggers physical symptoms like motion sickness, slight headache, shivers/goosebumps and stuff so i dont like listening to it more than 3 times. then i take a break and do whatever. at some point ill put on my void playlist and lay on my bed and affirm. if i finished school hyper early or its the weekend i do enter the void awake! but i like waking up in it better.

. ݁₊ ⊹ night: i put on a shifting reprogramming sub! to remind myself that i shift effortlessly and in seconds. at first id listen to any subliminal so i could give my subconscious the "choice" of either waking up in my dr or in the void, but i narrowed it to changing my shifting mindset while i focus on the void. i check the formula to make sure they dont include immediate shifts/waking up there 😾

actually thats why ive been censoring swears in comics lately because the tmnt fandom comes across to me as a little young...IDK I've had MULTIPLE people ask me what "sodomize" means because of the joke in this post and I'm like... I Cannot be the one to explain this to you. you have to look it up on your own klfsdhsdg like i wouldn't be doing this if i were doing a comic for mgs or even homestuck wherein the characters textually swear constantly LOL but sometimes u gotta change tacks depending on the faces u see in the crowd yknow.

i HAVE been thinking abt drawing nsfw of sunspot/richard rider/kobak from x-men red just because that comic seemed to be really asking for it. who knows.. if the need rly arises maybe my separate account policy will change.

its rly more a matter of the fact that i havent read/watched much of any other iterations... im sure id like most lol. I like most things related to my interests regardless of quality. i rly like the marvel ultimate alliance games for instance. sometimes seeing my fave guy is enough he doesnt have to be well written LOL. i dont exactly have a wealth of free time tho thats the real impediment.

i did watch the 2007 movie on new years eve and found it quite charming overall. and i have read about 30-40 issues between the mirage and idw comics. still feels like im barely scratching the surface but i liked em. i rly want to read all the sophie campbell stuff bc i think her work is interesting. jason aaron will be a mixed bag i think lmao. i say as the worlds biggest Wolverine and the X-Men (2011) fan.

hmm this is kinda hard bc i feel like i naturally draw very loose and the hard part for me is tightening it up. maybe some suggestions tho...

1) hand excercises. i think its easy to forget this when many artists sit in front of the computer all day but drawing is a physical activity u do with ur actual...bodys...muscles lol. if u feel urself tightening up it might help to strech (any google search for "artist hand excercises" should yield good results) or do a page of loose practice strokes like..big circles. long lines. scribbles. that kinda thing. whatever feels good for ur hand. this is also just good to do as a general warm up before u sit down for any drawing sesh.

2) draw further away from the canvas. as a general rule...when ur painting traditionally you do the big strokes with your whole arm outstreched and a long handled brush. and when you do the details its smaller wrist movements and a shorter handled brush. so it might help to take a step back or push back from ur chair a little.. or hold ur tablet a little further away. and hold your pen further away from the nib.

3) change mediums / brush types. some brushes and mediums are more suited to loose sketching and some more inclined towards detail work. so changing ur tool could help. also! i personally have this problem where sometimes if im using a brush i feel really familiar with the pressure to make a "good" "finished" "perfect" drawing is greater... if i want to force myself to loosen up ill switch to a tool i dont use as often so it feels like the pressure is off. a lot of times for me this is switching from digital to traditional. but sometimes its switching from a small pen to a big marker. or a smooth pen to a textured one. or a nice brush to a shitty dried up marker.

but also every body is different so i dont think these tips will work for everyone. u should listen to what ur body and mind tell u and how drawing feels to you

well. scott mcclouds understanding comics and making comics are good books on the craft. i think i had to buy them for a class in art school once.

other than that idk just keep at it. comics are really laborious i think for a lot of people the hardest part is sitting down and doing it.

i think a lot of people have a very instinctive understanding of how to read comics and what they look like so whatever you think seems like good way to tell the story you have in mind, its probably right. if u get stuck, study comics that have done something similar. most people in comics are relatively self taught and actually it can be problematic bc you can tell when a lot of comic artists are all copying the same like 5 old white guys LMAO. but on the flip side if you make sure to reference and study broadly your comics will almost assuredly feel unique.

sorry im responding to this anyways. this is just a really nice ask. i like when people reference my older work bc i feel like sometimes theyre subtly implying it wasnt very good LMAOOO. but its true! at least compared to the work i make now ^^ and the fact that im still making art is whats keeping me from being embarassed abt how much of my old art just floats around online lmao im never ashamed to be growing and learning. isnt that a nice thought <3

Ferise/Herise

Basics

started this conlang in 2019 while taking french. i think its cause i wanted to one-up french [i hated it]. theres 11 different pronouns:

h͡a [i], e͡n [you], fr͡e [he], dr͡e [she], hr͡e [they singular], e [it], heh͡r [we], nr͡er [you all], fo͡er [they male plural], do͡er [they female plural], and ho͡er [they neutral/mixed plural].

theres also four different standard verb conjugations [with no exceptions!!]:

-o͡n verbs, -y͡i verbs, -x verbs, and -s͡h verbs.

the line above two letters indicates that they are actually one letter within the ferise/herise alphabet! they usually have a unique pronounciation that isnt replicated within any other letter or letter combination.

speaking of letters, heres a picture of the alphabet:

a whopping 42 unique letters! wow!!

each letter has one assigned pronounciation. theres nothing like "o can make 15 different sounds depending on the word" like in english. of theres a letter, you automatically know what sound it makes, cause theres only one sound it can be!

another note is that there are, naturally, some sounds missing, like the "ch" sound and the "th" sound. those are unfortunately not part of ferise [more on herise later].

Grammar

the grammar of ferise/herise takes inspiration from a lot of languages. as i only speak english fluently, it naturally takes from english. but its also partially inspired by french, russian, japanese, and chinese, and thats only the ones i can come up with off the top of my head!

sentence structure is still very much subject/predicate like it is in english. "thing does action" is fairly standard for germanic languages i think [im not a linguist so feel free to correct me], and naturally ferise/herise also takes from them.

verb conjugations are also fairly standard. theres a certain form each verb takes based on what the subject is. in order to make it future or past tense, all you need to do is add a few letters on the end. to negate a verb, add another few letters onto the very back of the verb, behind past/future indicators. no fancy schmancy "past perfect" whatever the hell that shit is no thank you 😭

adjectives always go after the word they describe, no need for "and" or commas or anything like that. im thinking of adding a word to indicate the end of a description, something simple like "ib".

prepositions are where the chinese influence comes into play! i was reading an article that said they go before the verb, and then describe the first objects relation to the second object after the verb. so i borrowed that! so if you want to say "i am on the road", you would instead say "i on am road" [there are no articles like "a" or "the"].

question words wrap around the entire sentence. the beginning of the sentence always starts with "bom", and the end is a question word! some conditionals like "can" and "must" behave similarly to question words, and go right before question words at the end of a sentence.

making words plural is fun, since theres two methods! the first is for small amounts but still multiple of an object. you repeat the last two letters of the word, tack em onto the end of the word. for larger groups of objects, you disregard the first method and tack on "a͡ef" at the end of the word!

thats most of what i have right now with grammar. im working on trying to do comparisons, but nothing i found is right yet.

Wait! What's "Herise"?

great question!! its a dialect of ferise, complete with its own slightly separate pronounciations and preferences for name lettering.

writing: herise is more commonly written in cursive [which is notably Much Harder but more fun to write]! what makes cursive so difficult is all the letters end up in different spots on the line: some end above the line, some below, some in the middle, its all over the place. very tricky!

pronounciation: theres a few letters that have differing pronounciations from their ferise counterparts, most notably being the letter "d". remember how i said the "th" sound doesnt exist in ferise? well thats the sound it makes in herise, similar to that of a "ð" and not a "þ" [more "the" and less "thick"]. theres some other details i dont really feel like getting into cause this post is already a monster. ill leave you with some examples of ferise/herise writing!

hmmm depends on why the darling is frightened tbh are they always afraid or is this started after cerelos took them the first time? i do imagine he'd be pretty upset and even offended, though he won't outwardly show his feelings. he'd probably start ordering the servants to disappear whenever the darling is in sight, be invisible, to further isolate them, to force them either to face their loneliness and/or accept cerelos as their emperor and husband. since humans are in nature social, they'd naturally long for some form of company and possibly some skin to skin contact.

in short, since the coecrced sex doesn't seem to do enough, cerelos would've likely infict some psychological damages on his darling to force them to accept him. he wouldn't be…physically abusive, no, but he will emotionally and mentally cripple his darling without relying on cruel words and uses some amount of gaslighting.

regardless, you will only have him and you will love him. he is, after all, your emperor and husband. why wouldn't you embrace him and his power?

When it comes to dark or twisted au's that other writers create, would you prefer something more just a real 'what if' like 'An Interesting Arrangement' from @ribbondee ? Or would you dig deeper into something that would show more of a dark side to the characters like the 'Amnesia' segment from @cartooncadet666 ?

And of course the only other question I have right now (hence why I said a couple questions) When it comes to the art style diversity, what kinds of art have you seen the fandom make and if you have any favorites, which ones do you love the most?

Interesting questions. I have to start off with saying that, ultimately, what I "prefer and not prefer" about the fandom should not be an indication of whether someone's work is good or not, nor should it bar the fandom from creating whatever they want. I have my own tastes and preferences just as much as the next person, and naturally we're all drawn to work that mostly aligns with our tastes/preferences.

Your first question is whether or not I would be more drawn towards an au exploring a character's dark side, or towards one with a 'what-if' scenario. My answer to that is that it depends on the content.

I like both dark au's and what-if au's, it just depends on how well they are written, and sometimes it also depends on the characters. I know this is going to break a lot of hearts, but since Betrayus is not my favourite character, I'd feel less inclined to check out a work centred completely around him in favour of checking out a work that features my favourite characters. This is not the be-all-end-all though, sometimes a work can pleasantly surprise me even if it doesn't have my favourite characters. It really all comes down to writing.

And as for your second question, hmm. A tricky one. I'd say that most of the fandom's art styles are generally cartoonish/2D stylised, but there's a wide swath of diversity within that category. If you show me a list of artworks in the fandom then I can easily point them out and name the artists behind them (at least on Tumblr), which is great because it shows that each artist has a recognisable style. I really don't like choosing favourites though, so I'd rather show you a list of pmatga artists whose styles I really enjoy, if that's okay!

i think it depends on how we classify ''good''. what makes someone a good person? what makes someone evil? thoughts or actions‚ past or present‚ etc. i honestly dont think i can firmly say bubblegum is either good or evil. shes one of the few truly morally grey characters ive seen. like

. she is not a naturally empathetic person. thats not to say she doesnt care about people‚ she does‚ and sometimes those feelings influence her actions a Lot even if she doesnt realize it. but also‚ even when it comes to those she cares about‚ emotional empathy is a struggle. shes the definition of thoughts over feelings 100% scientific brain facts and logic. she is Very egoistical‚ she likes being in control and having power over people (not bc shes power hungry per se but bc thats the best way to keep control over others. shes Logical. and if she has control than nothing can go wrong)‚ she likes not being questioned and she did and still does often disregard other peoples rights and privacy to get what she wants and to be on top/have control over them. she does care‚ about a bunch of different things in a bunch of different ways‚ but caring about someone/multiple ppl and naturally feeling empathy are different things. she needs to make an effort to take other peoples feelings into consideration‚ and while not feeling empathy and etc obviously has absolutely NOTHING to do with morality‚ the thing about pb is that most of the time she does not make that effort‚ and actively does things that hurt other people for her own gain‚ or for Science™ or the Kingdom™. she doesn't care ab how other people feel or their privacy and she does like government crimes and mass murders and a surveillance state about it. she cares deeply about her people for example‚ but not really them as individuals‚ shown when she likes fucking kills them or put cameras on their bodies etc. shes more worried about them surviving than their autonomy. she cares about finn‚ but specially at the beginning she treats him more as an asset than anything‚ and does shit like implant a gps on him without him knowing. and while shes Always liked control and been all logical alpha brain and shit‚ and struggled with sympathy‚ she used to care a lot lot more. or better, she used to Allow herself to care and to love and to feel‚ she build herself a family because she felt lonely and she loved marceline deeply. but like the post and the show said she kept being hurt and she needed to protect an entire kingdom alone‚ which meant repressing all that to fucking hell and back. so she slowly just build up and let her ''no sympathy no feelings only Facts And Science'' side rule until she forgot anything else

and thats how we meet bubblegum in the show: manipulative and head of a dictatorship and with no one she truly cared about close to her, doing awful awful things and not taking time to remember about others. what are morals. being just so very fucked up

in the show, we see her begin to try and be good again. by letting other people in, by letting herself feel, letting herself be a Person outside of being a Princess and a Ruler and a Scientist, she begins to make that effort again. and bc shes like a war criminal that comes not only in the form of apologizing for those who are or were close to her and she was awful too, but also destroying the surveillance system and stop spying on people. she tries to begin having good actions. she realizes what she had been doing, and feels guilty about it (for... probably the first time honestly. she was very indifferent about it before. everything she did was the most logical thing to do, after all.) i say shes still firmly morally grey tho bc while shes no longer like Evil, she still. goes back to spying on people and etc. shes still Like That, just toned down. all that show that while shes getting Better shes still not good, and probably will never be, because thats just how she is. crazy scientist manipulative pink candy princess. shes the best

she was also never truly evil tho bc even at her worse her actions were not to cause harm! Im writing a character who just butchered a few people and ive discribed the character has a psychotic person, and i saw somewhere you cant use words like that as it will harm or offend people with psychosis, which I understand, but ive seen the othet half discribing a character with that word - but they dont have any MH and its to discribe the nature of the scenes.

I get where you're coming from. It's very important to be mindful of the language we use, especially when it comes to describing sensitive topics like mental health. Using terms like "psychotic" to describe a character can indeed be problematic because it perpetuates stereotypes and stigma against people with mental health conditions.

It is said that using words like psychotic and crazy in normal circumstances (even in everyday speech) is problematic and also ableist.

But I (personally) think context is very important. I think it really depends on you and how responsible you want to be. I wouldn't say NEVER use these words (in your writing or otherwise), because it's very difficult to do so, but do be mindful of how and when you use them.

For example, when I was writing about Mallory, there were many characters who called her crazy and psychotic (except for Max - truly the only man I love) and that's because I felt that's how those characters would react. I don't think they all would've been "responsible". But as the author, I made sure to emphasize in my story that Mallory was not mentally ill, so that it's clear that we're not harming people who do have mental illnesses.

So, yes, I do think being responsible and mindful is key. Just to be careful of when and where you use it. Have your own boundaries. That's the most important one.

For eg, I would never (at least hope not to) write a scene where I use words like "you're a psycho" or whatever, but I do use the psychotic or "omg he's crazy" a lot. Mostly because I feel the context in which it is used is not harmful. I hope you can come with your own boundaries and see what you're comfortable with and not!

PS - It seems to me that you're already trying to be careful and mindful about these things and that's great to see!

Experience / How long (Months/Years?): Oh man, I lost track of that stuff. I've been in the League rpc since before the lore reboot, back when we still had summoners and the Institute of War and the single circular-like continent. And before that I've been in other fandoms. I'd say, including ttrpg rping I've been at this game for over 20 years now (yes I am OLD) I've used Tumblr, Skype, Discord, MSN Messenger, PlayByWeb among others as mediums.

Best experience: I can go over the various specific threads and interactions that are close to my heart. But I really think that the lasting friendships I've build with past and present partners to be my best experiences. To meet so many different flavours of people, with their own lives and interests and stories, and become a part of their life (and vice versa) is what matters more to me than whatever rp-ing does.

RP pet peeves / dealbreakers: I'd like to think that I'm fairly easy-going as a writing partner. But, like anyone, I do have some lines I do not cross. Aged-up canon muses are a big no-no for me. I've had horrible and unpleasant experiences both personally and in fandoms with those. i.e. Annie is a child and someone rp-ing a young adult version of her just creeps me out, because obvious reasons are obvious. I adhere very strictly to the canon ages of canon characters, especially since Riot gave us an actual timeline to work with, or at least moderately accurately deduct dates with.

As far as pet peeves there is actually only one I can think of right now, my muses not being taken seriously and being ridiculed and made silly or memed at. This has happened to Vlad a few times and I just hard-pull the plug on interactions if it happens. He's a 1500+ year old homicidal tactical-thinking bloodmage, who is bored out of his mind most of the time. The fact he may crack a joke or two, or act aloof at times, does not mean he will not turn your muse inside out when insulted. This does not mean, in any way, he is unavailable for more casual interactions, but there is a very fine line between casual talk dare I say banter and downright memeing on him, and pushing him around. Luckily this has not happened in a long while, but it is something I can be sensitive on.

Muse preferences fluff, angst or smut: Angst > fluff > smut; though it can change depending on vibe and muses. Smut is something I rarely post publicly or write with someone else. I become extremely self-aware of my writing and over-analyse each and every word to the point it can take literal weeks until I come up with a reply that I do not want to gouge my eyes out at. Angst works wonders for my singular brain cell that thrives on it. Fluff is something that does not often happen, especially with my selection of muses. But it can be nice every once in a while.

Plots of memes: I can work with both. I don't mind plotting at all, but I prefer to not plot every little step out of an interaction between two muses. I like to be surprised by a partner's muse's reaction or response. And it feels a lot more natural, because there is always a certain level of compromises when it comes to plotting. Memes are a perfect ice-breaker as opposed to a first-meeting interaction (because let's face it, those can be pretty boring if it falls down to 'hi my name is x, who are you?') It makes us writers think out of the box slightly to have our dumbass children play together.

Long or short replies: It depends on the setting for the interaction. But I try to at least go for several paragraphs to give my partner something to work with and also offer development for both muses and give insight into mine's thoughts and actions. I'll never expect to be matched in length and will never fault someone for this either.

Best time to write: Since I work in three different shifts, which alternates per week, my activity hours shift a lot. So my 'best time' to write also changes. It mainly depends on a mood to write, especially with a manchild like Vlad as a muse.

Are you like your muse(s)?: Somewhat? I share some interests and personality qualities with my muses, for sure. But I wouldn't say I am a lot like them per se.

In my "real" headcanons for Will this is exactly what I'd like to see for him. Does that make sense? And I don't know if you misunderstood what I was trying to say, but I agree with you. I think that, and this is from talking to real survivors of SA, that this IS a perfect way to heal and build up his confidence in the fact that someone could give him pleasure and it not be something that's going to hurt him or take advantage of him. Receiving that kind of attention and have it be something completely positive---like think of the healing that could offer and that sort of joyous revelation? That's something that's so beautiful to me personally, and generally how I write Will in most of my stories.

However, I don't see anything less healing or beautiful about someone who's been beaten down taking initiative and feeling powerful in a real physical way. It truly is just how that particular person has responded to their regular life? Imo anyways.

Or....also....this can happen in a completely non-sexual way. Which I have written here. There are mulitple ways this could happen for a person like Will and I think they are all beautiful and worthy of exploration in fic.

Mike, in my opinion, in a canon sense.....is a giver. He seems to have an innate sense of caring for and wanting the people around him to be happy. if you delve past his sometimes prickly and sarcastic exterior, I think he's a person who deep down wants to be needed, wants to do a good job, and in turn would be a partner that would want to give whatever his partner desired. So whether it's them wanting him to take care of them sexually or for them to need other things that involve a different dynamic where he'd be on the receiving end--I think he'd be down for whatever honestly. Imo it makes him happy to please and he shows that with both El and Will in canon. So to me that's an easy one to say! 🙃 I think this generally resonates with readers going for the more dominant version of Mike in regards to Will, but I think there's a lot more to explore there if you sort of wanted to switch things up. I don't think either would really go against his character. And also, I guess----I think that top and bottom really gets misconstrued with dominant and submissive, and they frankly, are two separate things. You can be a top and have submissive tendencies, you can be a bottom and and choke your partner while you're doing it. No not at all! I mean, people are valid in all of their headcanons of their favorite characters. I personally think for people to have their final opinions of Will will have to wait until season 5 is concluded. BUT yes, I mean---in my personal opinion--Will is a gentler, quieter, and according to an 80s pov is effete in his tendencies. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that and I do tend to disagree with people who have it in their minds that cause he grew muscle mass and shoulders in season 4 that that has somehow changed his personality????

He is very strong in his own quiet way, but yes, he seeks out comfort, he needs that extra love and attention. And that's what Mike offers him. And in turn, his need for that and the way he responds to it is what Mike needs to feel wanted and loved. It's very symbiotic, which is what I noticed starting in season 2 between them, solidified in season 3, and was something that couldn't be ignored in season 4. It's why I started shipping them in the first place! But yeah, of course, as they would grow up and be involved in a relationship with each other the dynamics can ebb and flow and as they get more comfortable with each other and mature they might want to explore new things that would go against their "self-assigned" roles.

Anyways thanks so much! And yeah exploring Mike in a different light and Will in a different light is really just a fun exercise in diving deeper into their psyche, and for me is rewarding as a writer! Of course I have my own personal ideas of canon!Will and canon!Mike but I think the fanfiction versions of these two can be whatever dynamic said writer finds interesting! And it doesn't mean one is less correct than the other.

14 how do you write emotional scenes? Do you ever feel what the characters feel? Do you draw from personal experiences?

15 How do you write smut scenes? Do you get very visual or detailed? How important is it to be realistic?

like fight scene, i envision it as storytelling with bodies, just like a fight during sex scenes most of the communication is done thru the body and touches so i sort of choreograph it in my head, i prepare an outline of how i want the character to move and which acts i want to be done. the amount of details depends on what i need, for some story i'll need a vague 'and the screen fades to black' scene because the details are not important, for other i'll just quickly go over the scene because i dont consider the story romance-focused enough to warrant that and i need to move on to the rest, and for some the entire sex act is part of the plot and tells a story so it gets very detailed (like isn't bite also touch). realism is really important to me for anything, not just sex. i need the scene and the act to be believable and rooted in reality, or at least in what the story offered as its rules and reality. both in my reading and writing i like that so it's just natural for me to obsess over those kinds of details, it all has to be coherent to me. and i do think that transpires in my works, both how i treat fight or torture scenes and intimate scenes too, or confrontations. if it's not believable then i dont like it

26 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

okay, tough question. i don't know? i've only ever written one fic with multiple chapters, and that was rough because that's not something im used to so maybe that. unfortunately, and for a load of reasons, i can't look back on that one without feeling negative so that first experience turned sour. other than that, i dont really have wild story attached to writing any fic. if the question is about the fic itself, i'd say exact and merciless? it's not that wild but the only openly kinky fic i've written. im realizing all the best ideas i've had haven't been written down (yet) so the option are limited

no, i'm not reliable enough to get paid to write, point in case i haven't finished a single piece in months, and i've always refused to involve money in my hobbies, which include writing

i'd say favorite scenes first. i write a rough outline and i usually do that in chronological order to make sure the ideas fit together properly, but actual writing is scenes i like first, whatever comes easier second, and then connecting it all. i dont have problems with continuity because i smooth out any issues or out-of-place details when i edit and go over the draft to make sure it all comes together nicely

theres so many things i wanna say about the last chapter and the pool date !!!! first of all, roxy submersing herself to delay the inevitable is so relatable lol and she seriously cant do anything of her own without btr crashing her party 😭 and chapter 12 !! roxy backstory!! damn not only did her songs get stolen but her old band also got success off it? yeowch

i know youve already got some chapters written earlier, but i just wanna say i appreciate you uploading as frequently as you do ❤ hope the rest of the season finale writing goes smoothly!

awe thank you!! <3 the head dunking was inspired by all the kids i knew growing up who would dunk their heads and try to hold their breath underwater as long as possible to avoid hearing their parents tell them it was time to get out of the pool :) and yeah... ain't no party like a btr party... they just kinda sucked her into their friend group and she doesn't really get the choice to hang out with them or not hang out with them - they just appear and either insert themselves into what she's doing or they drag her along to whatever their doing. most of the time, this isn't an issue for her because she loves her friends and enjoys nearly every second they spend together, but sometimes she needs time with her girlies!!

i had a lot of fun writing out the pool date; i can't believe i didn't include it in the story the first time! it might not come as a shock but im not allll that creative when it comes to original scenes so i don't always think to include them + i always get a little bit of writers block when i do but in the way thats like "oh, you've written x amount of pages in this scene, its over" instead of it coming to a natural conclusion loll! that's why the finale is taking me forever, a big chunk of it has been original scenes!!

as for chapter 12... yikes! god that hurt to write. inspired by the notorious suckage of men in the pop punk scene, mag is like every early 2000's pop punk band frontman and also my own personal nightmare. roxy however, was unable to see this about him because he is pretty! girl come on!!!! anyway, now we know a bit about her past - not that she's been hiding it, she just didn't feel the need to come out and say it until a situation like this arose. you'll get to see a bit more of this in some future chapters, but she's super intimidated by the fact the band has known each other nearly all their lives, there isn't room for them to reminisce with each other or share facts about themselves in natural conversation because they all just... know everything about each other. so roxy feels a bit strange trying to talk about herself, her life in minnesota, or things she likes because the opportunity never really presents itself.

i'll do my best to keep up my posting schedule this summer, but once school rolls around i'll probably have to switch back to posting every two weeks instead of one... it'll all depend on my schedule and stuff so i might get lucky and still be able to do once a week!
