Any head canons about Zombie Mob and after he's cured?

hrrmmmmm still kinda changin little things around for how zombies work in general bc im indecisive but im gonna use this ask as an excuse to talk abt How He Works

the other day i was thinkin abt his protectiveness over ritsu, and how it only reaches so far before it makes a full stop. it Would seem like he'd be alarmed at ritsu being hurt in any capacity, but that's not always the case. rly, it depends entirely on how ritsu reacts to the injury

remember, zombies don't have a good grasp on past events beyond their turning—a lot of them can remember faces and names and basic concepts but most things are lost in the froth. since zombies don't feel pain and therefore do not feel the consequences of an injury, their association with things like blood and seeing open wounds is not negative—why would it be, when they've experienced nothing negative from them? it is simply a Neutral Thing in their eyes

however, zombies are still human, and when healthy humans are hurt, they usually scream or cry or Something. hearing another human yell in pain is often a little harrowing, and on pure instinct zombies will sometimes flock to this noise in a very innocent mindset of wanting to aid. the thought process of hungry zombies hearing that is a little different, and they will prolly try to eat whatever is vulnerable and hurting. zombies that aren't hungry atm tho will simply wanna check it out

hearing ritsu scream will trigger that protective instinct in mob. seeing his brother's arm torn to shreds tho? Only if he's actively acting distressed. if ritsu got a gash in his leg but he's toughing it out even as it seeps blood, mob will simply just.stare. right at the open wound. and be Unbothered. he doesn't quite understand anymore that a hole in ur flesh is painful—he does understand pained sounds, tho

hrrmmmmm vaguely related to the first thing... mob is a bit like a cat that keeps knocking shit over when it comes to sneaking around settlement patrols. ritsu does his absolute best to steer clear of patrols by a long shot in general, but sometimes it's necessary to squeeze past one. normal mob is quiet and his steps are soft and while he's not the most graceful he's not a walking hazard—zombie mob is tho <3

he doesn't rly Understand that the goal is to not be seen and these people have guns and those guns can hashtag kill you to death, and ritsu can only do so much to "tell" mob to be quiet. he doesn't understand any of the hand signals he gives him, any of the Shush gestures, and mob is absolutely fascinated by this vase—oh it broke. oh neat, footsteps and yelling that's fun

most of the time they get by unscathed.but sometimes mob will do the worst possible thing at the worst possible moment and those r the times ritsu gets truly and genuinely frustrated w him. poor guy can't help it he's a zombie.ritsu knows this .he pushes on

in regards to patrols, actually, it's interesting to think about how zombies Learn. they,, seemingly don't. a lot of the times, the consequences of something bad they do is either pain, or death, and since they don't feel pain ... well u can't exactly learn from that. a lot of the times, zombies will keep doing one thing over and over again, even if it's actively killing them, until they die from it

zombies are attracted to noises and smells, so it stands to reason that mob might be inclined to walk right up to a patrol car. there's people here ! let's check it out. and zombies do this all the time. all a patrol car has to do, rly, is keep its engine running, and zombies within earshot of it will flock and then get killed

mob, interestingly, is in a position to Learn as a zombie. not many zombies keep their lives after running into a patrol car, but mob has protection, and people looking after him. mob has walked away from patrol cars w his life many times. and i think he starts to understand that they're dangerous once ritsu gets hurt

it takes a couple rounds of it to get it through his head, but the next patrol car he sees and considers venturing to, he thinks about what happened last time this occurred—the screaming from ritsu, mainly—and he stops. if mob were suddenly alone, and ritsu was gone, he'd surely walk right up to that patrol car and get shot in the head for it. it's not like he'll feel it. but ritsu is with him, and he doesn't want his little brother to scream like that again, so he decides not to, and lets himself get led away from the car

i do headcanon harry's relationship with food, and very specifically making food, to be super complex. the weasleys managed to reconfigure food as a love language for him, overriding some really formative toxicity (and that's ignoring the failures/inherent grossness of how canon approached making the dursleys into villains; fuck jkr's fatphobia for real). until the weasleys and hogwarts, food was about scarcity vs excess, about serving vs being served, and i think it takes a long time to unspool all of that.

i think he holds having enough food as an ideal to strive for, even when he's food secure. it's hard for him to derive uncomplicated pleasure in preparing food (for himself, for other people) because it always feels indulgent.

and draco simply Cannot Relate. he's a picky eater! he indulges! he can't even fathom the binary harry is struggling to get past. if he cooks for himself (and i don't have a firm headcanon for whether he's good at it or not; i've imagined him as a chef [obvs] to totally helpless) that's about the ability to cater to his own taste and growing past childhood dependencies. if he cooks for other people, it's about a generosity of indulgence, wanting to share his own tastes.

so i think draco helps harry develop tastes, to deepen his appreciation for food while moving on from some of the guilt associated with it.

this is a tricky one because it really depends on the person... theyve got some manipulative tendencies so theyll kind of play up whatever traits they think will get them what they want. in terms of like. public perception, they prefer to be the one observing, not the one being observed, so they generally kind of just try not to draw too much attention to themself. which is not to say they try to be unapproachable, more just unassuming. even in situations where they are trying to attract someones attention, its generally in a way where theres more than theyre letting on.

21. Does your OC have any illnesses or disorders? How do they handle it?

their needing to consume human flesh could technically be considered an illness, or at least the result of one. i still havent worked out All The Lore behind this yet but it was essentially caused by some sort of affliction specific to vampires. its usually fatal, but those who do survive get stuck with some nasty side effects. like eating people.

beyond that they kinda have an unrelated eating disorder? but in the sense that they kind of just... forget. they dont realize that theyre hungry until theyre really fucking hungry. it just doesnt register, so unless they make a conscious effort to keep track of their meals, they usually end up going a bit too long in between them. they were like this before they became a vampire too (whether due to their father just not feeding them enough or bc they were trying to Avoid Him so they skipped meals i havent decided yet) so they just kinda got into the habit of ignoring their hunger & then never broke that habit.

also this ones probably obvious if youve seen any art of them but theyre blind in their left eye. and i guess on a related note they have poor vision & some variety of color blindness in their right eye, although i dont remember specifically which kind (i think it might have been blue cone monochromacy but i cant find where i had that info saved).

they also have a variety of mental health issues which i could probably get into the details about later but this answer is long enough already. they are definitely Dealing With Some Shit tho lmao

to elaborate on the token gifted kid thing since explaining exactly How he was gifted is pretty fucking important um. Moonflower can actually be a name for multiple different flowers! and for my purposes here I thought it was really fucking funny if I based him off of datura since moonflower is a nickname for it. So naturally she excels at illusion based spells, since yknow, hallucinogen, and also some poison themed offensive spells! yippee! and by 'excels' I mean that the illusion magic is literally Second nature to him and they can use it with very little effort or energy. This comes with some side effects though, one of them being that he has a tendency to do some fucked up magic form of sleep walking/talking where illusions of their dreams appear around him and are visible to. literally anyone in the same room as him. actually, it's how her parents originally found out about their illusion magic bs, by walking into their young childs room one night and being greeted by fucking Mini movies of their fucking dreams. The only reason I don't think giving her these powers and making them so easy for him to use is Ridiculously overpowered is that since they're just illusions, nothing he creates is actually tangible. Simply visual and auditory. So while he can use it to scare and confuse the fuck out of people actual summoning spells are as taxing on him as everyone else L

anywayssss later on when he's in his like mid 30's after basically just exploring and sightseeing the world for like 15 years she finds some sort of advertisement of parfaedia looking for an illusionist to hire as a teacher. and they're just kindof like I guess this is fate LOL and tries to get the position. assuming the staff member interviewing him was working at the school for more than 15 years I think they'd see this fuck and just go like. Holy fuck it's you again wtf. Why are you back who let you in this fucking building again and why are you trying to Work here. Anyways they kindof convince the interviewer that over the past 15 fucking years he's had hit character development (she has not) and since it's true that someone from their college years and the same person in their mid 30's are Probably not going to act the same and also since moonflower fucking SLAYS at illusion magic they get the job. yippeee!(for moonflower not this fucking school that was a HUGE fucking mistake) anyways latte is just kindof like Holy fuck you're back/pos I think it'd be funny if she disguised himself as a student (specifically THEMSELVES when the were a student) first day of school after they got hired (period 1 prep) and played the funny game called "how long can I be in this class before latte realizes that one of her students is her bestie from 15 years ago". Scotch and atlas are inseparable. They’ve been best friends since they were 14ish, and even though atlas kinda hated him at first, he eventually found scotch’s obnoxiousness comforting + fun compared to his own silence. I relate to atlas a lot in this way lol. They were quite a duo in high school as class clown and off-putting loner. It’s junior or senior year when scotch tells atlas about his feelings for him. They’ve always been close, and lots of times mistaken for partners, but atlas doesnt know how to handle this confession. He largely ignores it, but not in a purposefully mean way.

During the stretch of time before atlas realizes his own feelings about scotch, he’s very protective over and sensitive to him. He drops anything for him, which actually got him in a lot of trouble in his actual relationships. Bros before hoes is what they both live by really… its a classic case of being SOOOO best friends you dont realize its a crush.

By the time atlas meets seraph (his official partner), he and scotch have become very comfortable in their relationship. They finally live like lovers. Very good ones. And seraph kinda…. Comes along and fucks it all up. This is probably the part that made u send this ask LMFAO <3. Atlas falls head over heels for them. He is obsessed for REAL they are like a dream to him. Classic (overused and cheesy..) dynamic of soft and rough. Red and blue. Innocence and corruption. Lamb of god and… i dont know. You know what i mean, i could go on. This is all going while scotch watches, very aware of all of it. He’s fine with it, really, its not like he and atlas are really dating. Atlas can do what he wants, he’s pretty sure he’s still his number one. WELL.

Until he’s not. Atlas had told seraph about scotch, that this is how it is and he cant choose them over him and vice versa. Seraph didnt like that. I dont want to make seraph out to be the bad guy, because they aren’t at all. I dont think they’re doing anything wrong by being upset atlas wants to keep his fwb+ thing going on with his buddy. I don’t think they’re a bad person for asking him to end that relationship. He doesn’t, of course, but atlas does tell scotch about it. Scotch is angry, but mostly scared. He kind of has a whole breakdown because as atlas gets more and more involved with seraph, he sees less and less of him. It really feels like its the end, and they will go back to being just friends with added …tension.

That’s not the end of the story but its all i have pretty much in stone. The rest keeps changing as the story grows LOL. Sorry if this is too long, i never know how to talk about my characters without giving the entire backstory. This is just the surface of it, there is a lot more things happening in between but i didnt want this to go on forever ehehe or be too confusing. I dont know whether im going to have them grow apart, have seraph slowly accept scotch, or have something horrible go down where seraph leaves/is left. Probably whatever is more dramatic and sad, but thats different depending on if youre rooting for seraph or scotch more lol. Anyways. TY FOR ASKING omfg iz soo long….

c!Tommy : I finally succombed to the tommyinnit charm after his exile 😩 and his death … and wilbur abondonning him ….+the kid’s been through way too much too to keep disliking him + he did mature in someway, it was really nice to see that + I still want to punch him sometime tho + and that him and eryn a childhood friends is so cute
