HAPPY VARENTINES DAY, ANGEL ! I've been facing some tech issues recently, but!! To celebrate Ren's birthday and Valentine's Day, I'll be releasing Day 5 (the Early Access version) for all the Beta Testers in a few days!
And for those who aren't part of the 14DWY Discord server, don't worry! The public version will be available for everyone to play once the beta testing period is over ^^

PLOT: a recommended 18+ interactive fiction (that contains disturbing/dark subject matter that is not for everyone)that takes place in a mix and alternate universe of ancient medieval times. Nothing in this story will be historically accurate. Woes of their wretched (wotw-if) is where you play as a consort of a cruel king, Leif. You are going to get your revenge for yourself and possibly for other reasons but you will play as a consort and a parent.
| 18+ themes such as described nudity, graphic depictions of blood and gore, depression, rape, abuse, forced Marriage, morally questionable behavior, toxic and unhealthy relationships, child abuse, and more(you can check out the full warnings down above)
note | you will not be able to pick the gender of your child, you will have a son. the main character will start off as a bad parent towards their son and later on the game, you can still be a bad parent or try to be a great, how you choose will affect your life, other characters, and your son's life.

=Choose the person you wish to be, customize your name, gender, sex, sexual orientation and appearance, you can also choose what kind of parent you want to be; loving and caring or unloving and uncaring as well with choosing what kind of lover you wish to be; loving, lying, manipulative, toxic, healthy…
=Choose your endings and life : There are bad and happy endings for anyone. Yourself, Your Son. It's all up to you, what you can get.
=Build or break your relationship with characters such as ros(romance options) and your son. Even though you can help them, there is no way to make everyone happy but it’s your choice to pick who can be or not.
=Romance anyone of the eight romance interests and 6 secret romance interests(and a few that would be seen as conversational)…but some are not really romance options, a few might die, betray or reject you… will you pick the right ones and be possibly happy? ( 14 ros in total and 4 flings )

| the voice and mc will have a complex relationship and throughout the game, the voice will be a bastard and judge you throughout the game and later on you can have a nickname for it.

Backstory: You are a outcast as people would say, just in the shadows with the title of 'one of Leif's many consorts' as people would say...

Backstory: your child, you had no interest in him, born out of force and no love for him, but you realize that you can take your revenge - a possible heir of the throne, your ticket to revenge.
📎 An young boy, he has light brown skin, he has violet eyes. He is short in height (4'0). His hair is dark green and short that reaches to his ears and it is neatly combed. His body is skinny and petitle.

Backstory: A old woman that takes care of consorts' children, a nanny but she seems to take care of your child more. - A elderly woman, a nanny people would say. She calls herself, Emil's Mother. Not around you, obviously.
📎 An older woman, she has brown skin tone, she has black deep eyes, she is short in height (5'4) and her hair color is fully grey and white and it is shoulder length and tied in a bun. Her body is leaning towards chubby.

Backstory: A man, he is an assistant of the king, he also helps the consorts - He is a strong man that is also seen scolding the consorts, his daughter was also a consort of the king but rumors say that he helped her flee.
📎 An man, he has a tan skin tone and he had dark blue eyes along with his height being tall(6'1) and his hair being dark green with some grey hairs(he has facial hair), it is short and reaches to his ears, his body type is lanky and tall.

Backstory: A servant, he is having an affair with one of the consorts, a young woman named Emilia - He is a servant that is related to Lady Mirsell, his grandma, well not really but he says he is.
📎 An man with fair skin, he has hazel eyes and he is average in height(5'11) and he has a color that mixes of grey and blue, his hair is shoulder length and is tied in a low ponytail. His body type is lean and average.

Backstory: He is a man that was raised by a cold mother and a ill father, he is cold as well - He is your husband, he wants a heir, a strong one. A son. Every daughter is ignored, you're lucky.
📎 An man who has two different colored green eyes with dark blue and brown skin, he is tall(6'4) and his hair color is dark green and it is ear length along with his beard which is a stubble and his body is quite muscular.

ESME DAWN-BALDASSARE [male] , 18 - ☆
Backstory: your brother, despite being younger, has taken care of you, he is your sweet brother and he love you and Emil. - your his only family left and he is yours, he doesn't do much but stays at king Leif's castle at your request.
📎 An man with olive skin that is your younger half brother, his eye color is ruby red, and his height is short(5'4) his hair color is purple but with natural highlights of ash blonde and it reaches up to his shoulder and often tied in a small pigtail. His body is lean.

Backstory: your mother, none hardly used her name in the castle, she was like a curse - she had died when you were younger, around 8. Just taken away by your father and his guards.
📎 An woman whom you called your mother, she has gold eyes like yours, she is quite tall(5'12) and her hair color is black and unevenly cut, and it is left loose. Her body is thin and bony.

| one or more of those romance options(ros) can die, betray your or your child or even reject you. you can be healthy or toxic towards characters, romance options, and even your son.
| most ros will start with slow burn, flings, and towards you can confess your feelings where some might reject or accept you but some ros are not really ros, dont trust anyone. (some ros might not like your child and will try to convince you to get rid of him, everyone is a red flag including mc)
| note. one of the ros is legally your step-son but none of the consorts(leif's consorts) feel like family and one the flings is your cousin. again, its up to you, if you want to romance the ro or sleep with the fling. One of the ros is older and does know mc when they were younger(not really but they do know and see mc when they were a child meanwhile they were an adult) and it might be seen as uncomfortable, one fling is married just uses mc for pleasure. (Again, everyone is toxic and might not show their true colors)

Backstory: a young woman who was hired to be a nanny for the children like Mirsell but just younger - she takes care of children, she seems fond of your son, Emil. She also takes care of you, when she can. Maybe she admires you.
📎 An woman with brown skin and dark green eyes. She is short in height (5’4). Her hair is a deep shade of black, short and tied in a short messy bun. She has a lean body type . She has a gap between her two front teeth along with a small scar on her nose. Maria is seen mostly wearing her nanny’s outfit–a black dress with puffy sleeves and a white apron– but when she isn’t working, it would be a dress–a cool shade of blue dress, long that covers her knees and her arms, like an sundress– that her mother brought her before she left her home.

LUCEYDELL RICHNESS [male] , 20 - ☆ [he/they]
Backstory: another consort of Leif, he is closer to you than any other consort, he seems fond of you. he is seen as feminine and often is dressed and he was originally a consort of a deity called "wraith". there are some rumors that he is the favorite.
📎 A male with light brown skin and pink eyes. He is around average in height (5’7). His hair is a very light shade of white, long that reaches his chest and tied in drill ringlets. He is average but leaning towards thin, he has beauty marks about everywhere on his face and a birthmark of something that seems like a fingerprint. Luce is seen mostly wearing his robes; it's completely white with gold undertones and has ribbons and many ties on it.

Backstory: a dancer, a woman who has born and brought into a work of dancing and more, she is often brought by the king to perform - she often dances and has her own personal room despite her work, she is seen with kids. She cannot give birth to her own, she once said.
📎 A woman with light brown skin and dark green eyes. She is short in height (5’2). Her hair is auburn brown, long and tied in a low ponytail. She is thin in size and weight. She has a beauty mark under her eye and mouth. She mostly wears a long blue gown that is tied with many laces and noble french-wear; when not working as a dancer but is seen wearing a small dancer's wear.

| this is the ro who knows and seen mc when they were a child but fayette never payed attention to young mc until present day(chapter one) and fayette doesn't remember them but can still be see as uncomfortable.
PANDORA AUGUSTKINGS [male] , 25 - ☆ [he/him]
Backstory: one of the king's children, they hate their father and is wanting to get the throne to avenge their mother - They are technically your step-child since marriage to the king but not really, none feels like family, they seem rude and often bothers you.
📎 A man with warm ochre skin and deep black eyes. He is tall in height (6’1). His hair is a deep shade of black like jet-black along with natural purple highlights, short that reaches up to his chin and left well-combed and slightly slicked-back with some strands in his face. He has an average built. He has two scars, one across his cheek to his other cheek, that goes across his nose and the second one on his neck. He is seen mostly wearing a royal suit–that is white and has blue undertones.

Backstory: a knight, your personal knight ever since an attempted murder, the king has brought you a knight. - they are always near you. Visible or not. They will stand by your side.
📎 An person with tan skin and dark green eyes. They are very tall in height (6'2). Their hair is short black hair that reaches chin but bit above and is tied up in a small low ponytail. They have a musclar build and a strong body. They have more scars on their body that is scattered every where, face, neck, legs, back. They wear a knight's amour at all times and without it, is just wearing a loose black shirt with brown trousers.

ADEN BASTARD [f/m] , 23- ☆ [depends on choice]
Backstory: ironically by the last name, They are a bastard. Born out of incest, their parents both siblings, surprisingly no birth deflects well they were born with an illness - They are a noble and stays close to you after their castle was burnt down, they are soon to be betrothed to an other.
📎 An person with a fair skin tone with red eyes. They are around short and average in height(5'6). Their hair is a natural blue, it reaches their shoulders and it's tied in a low ponytail that lays across their shoulder. They have a skinny body type due to the illness. They easily bruise and often is seen with bruises on their skin. They wear a mix of a nightgown and that still scream nobility instead of sleepwear, it's completely white with some red undertones.

MARRYJOY WHITEFIELD [nonbinary] , 22 - ☆ [they/them]
Backstory: not much is known but they are quiet and mysterious, weirdly the king is very interested in marryjoy - they are a mage but a fortune teller, the king seems happy around marryjoy, they have a secret.
📎 An person with a brown skintone and has hazel eyes. They are average in height (5'8). Their hair is white and long that reaches their past their shoulder that is left loose. They have a average build; a mix of skinny yet some chubby-iness on them. They have eye bags on their face along with a circle birthmark on their forehead. They wear a mages robe almost all the times.

My First Game Jam 2024 is on!
The optional theme is: “Light”
Here’s a few tips and links to get the most out of the jam.
Make a dev log on the community!
A development blog is a blog in which a game developer or team talks about the process they’ve made over the course of the game’s creation. Maintaining a devblog keeps your audience in the know and helps facilitate productivity so you’ll have something to blog about. It also serves as a record of problems you encounter as well as the solutions you find for those problems.
Development logs are essentially the same thing, except we’ll be using the jam forums rather than a blog. However, you are free to use both the forums and your own blog as you develop your game.
Doing so is not necessary at all, but check out all the logs from last jam! In order to get the most out of your jam experience, it is vital that you interact with your fellow jammers and the community surrounding it. They’ll provide valuable feedback and support to help you along the way. So please, we encourage you to mingle, post in other logs, and of course post your own!
In addition, you are encouraged to add images and gifs. Here’s some programs to help facilitate that:

Character name purge together with 7.6 update?!
[You can read full article by going to the link. I'm only posting some.]
"As part of Update 7.6, Broadsword will be purging the names of inactive characters on unsubscribed accounts. Your status as a Free to Play, Preferred, or Subscriber can determine how much you get impacted by this coming update.
The goal of this name purge is to open up more names for new characters to use. You’ll have until the release of 7.6 in early December to get your toon names sorted, so take a few minutes to preserve the names of your characters!
This specific purge is a one-off, but the devs have expressed interest in making it more of a regular thing. It will likely involve unsubscribed players only getting to hold onto their names for a year, but that bit is just speculation on our part.
Who is Affected by the 7.6 Character Name Purge
If you are a F2P or Preferred player, any characters you haven’t logged into since January 1, 2024, will have their names flagged as available when 7.6 is released. If you want to preserve your character names, simply log onto SWTOR and log into each character with names you want to keep before 7.6 launches.
Don’t forget to log into characters on multiple servers to preserve their names if the former applies to you.
If you’re an active Subscriber at 7.6’s launch (likely to be on December 10th, yet unconfirmed), you don’t need to worry about a thing. All your character names will be preserved. Yes, the devs are kind of treating this as another incentive to subscribe. To be clear, this update only affects inactive toon names, not legacy names as those are not unique, and the toons themselves aren’t getting deleted.
What happens to your character if their name is claimed by someone else
If you don’t log into your inactive characters or subscribe by the time 7.6 launches, your inactive characters may have to be renamed. Characters that have not been logged into since before 2024 will have their names made available to the general population.
This does not mean you’re guaranteed to lose the name if you haven’t logged in or subscribed, but if someone else decides to take it, you will then have to rename the toon.
We recommend you take the necessary precautions by logging into your inactive characters before 7.6 launches or subscribing for the month.
How this affects F2P and Preferred Status Players
If you’re a F2P and Preferred Status player, you will need to prioritize which characters with names you want to keep. This is due to the limited number of active characters per server you are allowed to have.
F2P players can have 4 active character slots per server
Preferred Status players can have 12 active character slots per server".
Wait. 12? I'm pretty sure my active character limit is 14? WTF? I was about to sub for the update anyway to get a mount so it's not an issue, but it could be an issue in the future if they don't clarify it.

HYPERSOMNIA JUNE DEV LOG : “FASHIONABLY LATE”
Hi! I already wrote this entire dev log but I closed the tab by accident, so it's now 10:55pm and I'm going to try and speedrun writing something that took me an hour to write.
For all of you who follow HYPERSOMNIA, you should already know what the gist is here I've been saying this for 6 months.
if you don't know what this is or are confused on what HYPERSOMNIA is read the other dev logs i've said this like every time lol
So, just as a heads up this log isn't going to be super long with new content because I have been insanely busy these last few months! I just graduated High School and the last few months have been me cramming to make sure I pass and could graduate and now I am!!! Yay!!!
I won 2 awards at my grad (One of them being excellence in arts :D) and the other I was given a check for 200$ so I snagged one of these!

Super happy I finally got a display tablet for drawing, I've wanted one of these since I was like 14 and it feels awesome to have one now. I got this thing super cheap too, this thing usually goes for like 300-350 Canadian and I got it for 130! Super super happy about this.
That's all from me personally, but I would like to say just as 1 last thing before the updates, Happy Pride Month to all who identify as LGBTQ+, I myself am queer and just want to remind all of you that you are loved and accepted. Hopefully I can get this out before midnight so it's still pride month LOL
OK! NOW FOR UPDATES! I don't have too much to share today but I do have somethings I want to show off.
First things first, I've been respriting some characters! Ross and Jack are the biggest edits I've made so far so I'd like to show them off.
(Left is old, and right is new!)
Ross' walking sprites were updated! I was kind of dissatisfied with how Ross looks like he's struttin' everywhere so I redid it to give him a more casual walk. I'm very happy with this change and I plan for it to be the base walking animation going forward. I also updated his side profiles slightly to look closer to the key art I illustrated.
Jack also had his idles redone! He I think was the biggest thing I needed to resprite, his old sprite is kind of cluttered and poorly detailed so for his new one I simplified a lot of the shading and reshaped his hair and mask. I think it came out really well.
Also, just earlier I was working on music for the game.
I'm really happy with how this came out, I just got high and made Half-Life music (Which is what I was aiming for LOL)
Hopefully I can get to a point where I can finish off the soundtrack for the demo and post it all. Some friends of mine were a bit sad I delisted the tracks I had up initially so I hope to get those up again soon.
I've also been storyboarding out some early game cutscenes, I can't show a lot because it's all a bit spoiler-y but I will put this in the log.
And one last thing too, THE MOTHER DIRECT!
on July 27 at 6PM ET, MOTHER FOREVER will be hosting the MOTHER Direct, which HYPERSOMNIA is a part of!
There'll be a ton of indie games, fan projects, and other things relating to or inspired by the MOTHER series! Please give it a watch if you can. If you can't make it, the event will remain on MOTHER FOREVER's YouTube channel, and I'll be uploading HYPERSOMNIA's trailer on YouTube, Twitter, Steam, and here. I’ve been sleeping for 10 hours since like Friday because April and March exhausted meeeee

I’m so damn done. Well, not done with the game, but done with life. I know employment is going to be hard and I don’t want to be someone’s housewife. I would have said take me to Mars but I can barely survive when temperatures drop to 16 degrees celsius and if I end up going there and surviving then that means the problems will come back to me. Sigh.
Well, Game dev time. Since the hiatus, I literally did nothing. I did finish Kyu’s base sprites, Father Figure’s base sprites and started on Priyah’s, but I’ll be honest I haven’t done much else because classes were getting tougher and tougher until pretty much I couldn’t do anything else except eat sleep and study. I think they have the least sprites because they have no line boil (I’d like to think the line boil means they’re getting affected by the game breaking down (I’d like to think the father figure is so damn powerful and immortal he literally sleeps through all the crazy shit that happens because that’s basically all what he does in the games except for punting his kid for eating chips loudly or disturbing his sleep)). So, what am I going to do? Continue Priyah’s sprites, then maybe do Orby’s, which probably would take me a bit longer because they would have line boil. Then maybe the diner cast, because Tiny Terson doesn’t deserve his own base sprites. If there is 1 million Tiny Terson haters I am one of them. If there is only 1 Tiny Terson hater that is me. If there are 0 Tiny Person haters then I am dead. I’ll start with making the game actually playable after all the base sprites are done because right now it’s just a sandbox with nothing to do.
I have put the demo to make you guys see what I’m talking about (it’s an HTML5 game. It’s really glitchy for some reason and some scenes for some reason can’t load the assets in smhhhhh. I’m going to make the full game downloadable when it’s out for windows because I have a feeling you can’t save on browser. Sorry Mac users. Not sorry. Also, I can't guarantee the downloadable thing at the bottom will run tbh.)

Is it exactly referencing if you’re taking like 2 lines of a song's lyrics? I don’t know but this song has been inadvertently been influencing the way I make jokes lmao deadass whenever I say anything about feeling sad this is how I expect the recipient of my message to read it like.

This song literally was what my early teens was like, like the basic lyrics that get the point across and the "emo" instrumental. Which honestly, it makes sense because this song was written by a 13 year old (which honestly, good for her). I’ll be honest, I really only miss my early teens a little bit because that's when I realized I wanted to be a game dev, but I didn't actually try making games until I was 19, which honestly thank god, because I just know I would make something angsty and cringey at 15. Also I LITERALLY DIDN’T KNOW THIS SONG WAS A JAMSTER RINGTONE?! I literally saw the music video first and was like “holy shit now this is some good shit” (I was 11 ok, I wanted to look like her so damn bad back then but I knew my parents would make fun of me)

Dev Log Mar 14 2025 - What's Taking so Long?
The Steam Deck version of Crescent Roll is moving along. The full game is playable, most of the audio issues have been resolved, but there's still the very slight teeny-tiny issue of WebKit being abysmally slow and we're sitting at only 10% CPU usage and 20FPS. Joy. We can fix it though. Without having to switch Web Browsers. I explained a bit before that the two options available for Web embedding are either Chromium/Chrome or WebKit/Safari, depending on your platform. Windows, Android and Xbox all have Chromium natively for you to use, Mac, IPhone, PlayStation, and Nintendo have WebKit, and then Linux and therefor Steam Deck don't have a standard one installed. We went with WebKit for Steam Deck because it's 200MB instead of 1.5GB and we have to bundle it with our game. When I said we can fix it, it's not that the actual game part of Crescent Roll isn't optimized - we actually did a pretty good job with all of the movement on-screen every frame - but there's some very specific things large surrounding it that we know are hurting performance considerably. Here a visualization of the call stack of a random average frame on the Main Menu from the Chrome profiling tools from my 10-year old i7-4770k machine:
The grey "Task" bar is the full length of the execution. The brown-yellow underneath are what run during the actual "Animation Frame" portion, then the Blue sections are Crescent Roll code, and Green is Phaser rendering code. So in this frame, it took 4.16ms for the full frame, of which, Crescent Roll used about 1.8ms to do its stuff, then Phaser took 1.5ms to do the render, and the remaining ~0.8ms was system stuff like GC and doing memory transfers to the GPU. 60Hz refresh rate would mean that you need to render in under 16 ms, so about 4ms for Windows Desktop means that I could theoretically get somewhere around 240fps if I let it run free. Which I mean, is pretty respectable. Why doesn't it run well on the deck? Technically, it's running okay, just not displaying okay. The internal game logic does all physics and animation calculations with lag compensation in mind. So whether you're getting 500 fps or 5, the in-game logic always calculates 60Hz. So sorry - no cheesing stage times with slow-mo. One reason the display is having issues is that it's single threaded. Which means we're not doing _anything_ in parallel. All of the game logic, graphics rendering, controller polling, etc. are all being done every frame in order every single time. The kicker is that we actually built the game to be able to do those things in parallel, but Javascript just doesn't have the concept of Threads for you to be able to just run whatever you want however you want. You have to implement Web Workers, which is essentially a completely separate program that you can't share memory with, forcing you to use a message bus, making life difficult. But not impossible, and that's all that really matters. Just splitting it in 2 would already get us a 25% improvement, and we could very likely do better than that. The other, slightly more major performance sink is that green bar for the Phaser rendering - that can be entirely eliminated at this point to cut the time in half. We've been replacing it piece-by-piece with our own code, and now, we're really just leaning on it for WebGL pushes at this point. Unfortunately, since it's an engine, there's quite a bit of extra baggage that it likes to do that we can't just turn off, so we're essentially running a lot of the same types of graphics calculations twice. Phaser is a perfectly good engine - don't get me wrong, but it's just superfluous for our use at this point, specifically for us.
So yeah - it's going to take another week or so to get that 100% sorted out. There's a patch incoming Monday for full Controller support and couple of minor improvements. In the meantime, you can swap to the beta branch on Steam if you absolutely must try the Steam Deck version now. No complaints about the speed though - I warned you.

I think the balancing for Side Order is weird cuz they wanted to make a roguelike but didn't want to scare off people who aren't hardcore roguelike enjoyers (I mean just look at how many people on Twitter freaked out hearing about the whole starting over thing)
Like, admittedly my only experience with a real roguelike (or roguelite? I'm not entirely sure which one it is or how much most people care about the distinction) is Hades and I have like 20 some hours in that and I don't think I ever got past the halfway point, I think I reached it but barely passed it.
That level of grinding would demotivate the average Splatoon player for sure. This isn't a game that's meant to attract people who enjoy roguelikes.
I haven't beaten Side Order myself, but I see a lot of people who have and seem a bit... underwhelmed. And I think it's maybe because the devs slightly overestimated the amount of people who'd struggle and end up exploring all different sorts of palettes and chip combos.
Because with how the locker keys work, it seems like they're expecting you to try all sorts of palettes to get loads of keys and unlock more palettes and Marina's dev logs and the cosmetic unlocks for the main game.
But plenty of people are just getting to the credits after only a small handful of runs and going "... that's it?". Which I think is probably fair. If you're good it seems like the dlc can take you anywhere from just 1-3 hours, shortest Splatoon singleplayer thing by far. And it kind of seems like the story might also be a bit underwhelming but I can't really speak for that because I've only gotten to floor 14 once.
Anyways this is just my semi-connected rambles on Side Order so far after playing it for 3 1/2 hours and seeing my friend's reaction (hi Astrid) and looking at some other peoples' reactions online.

Dev Log - 10/14/24
"Oh man I should really continue working on my game! How long has it been?"
"...wait it's been 4 months?" Anyways, hello! It's been a long time since I updated you all on how I'm doing with this project, so here is my little update. First of all, I've gone back and forth on Unity and Godot for a few months now. I have more experience with Unity, I prefer Godot and want to leave Unity, but I have more progress with Unity, but the progress I have isn't even that much so let's just restart, you get the idea. So there isn't a huge game play update on Project River, as I've moved it to the back burner. I'm instead taking this time to work on small games for various game jams, and give myself the experience in Godot that I'm looking for. Right now I'm participating in a local game jam and the Scream Jam. Very excited to show off both of those projects. I should have lots of updates in the near future, so please stay tuned.

I posted about it on the forums and I'm posting it here too, regarding the guild banks.
My guild bank got totally wiped, only one or two items left, not even full stacks and definitely not worth anything. I logged in to seven mails from Blizzard regarding lost items from the gbank. What I got? 50 silk cloth, 135 mageweave, 428 frostweave, 40 saxifrage, 4 volatile air, 27 embersilk, and 14 worg haunch. I had seven tabs full of mats and transmogs and recipes, I had the Reins of the Crimson Deathcharger in there as well, and now I have a few old world mats back, yippee /s
I think the only way players affected can get any kind of resolution is to keep posting about it. Here, socials, everywhere. This isn’t some small mistake, this is potentially TWENTY YEARS worth of stuff for some people. If guild banks can get wiped out of nowhere in an update, what else? Achievements? Characters? Whole accounts? It’s ridiculous that such a huge company wouldn’t have logs, backups, literally any way of restoring or even checking what went missing. But I bet they have perfect backups of their system for payments huh. More likely it’s just too much effort to go through, and with no media reporting it, they think it’ll just blow over and everyone will just get over it. People have lost tons of items, the “partial-restoration” is a total joke, and the best they’ve got is a month of ghosting followed by “oops we broke it lol good luck”? What about the blue post saying it was just a visual bug and we couldn’t see our items, but they could?
Given that people have lost items paid for with real world money, plus it’s not exactly like WoW is some free to play game by a small indie dev, I’d be curious to see how this would hold up in a legal sense. Small claims, class action, etcetera. I bet Blizzard would change their tune on this pretty fast if they thought it’d tank their business. As long as people keep posting, unsubbing, and submitting tickets, they’ll have to acknowledge it eventually.
Even if they can’t restore everything, players have screenshots, I can see the log of things put into my guild bank that are now missing. Can they not see their own game? I’ve already unsubbed, and I can’t see myself coming back for a long time until they make a serious effort at fixing this or compensating players. Complain, complain, complain. Vote with your money. There’s a limit between annoying bugs and a blatant disregard for your customers. Words can't describe how upsetting this is, as a long term player.

Make a dev log on the community!
A development blog is a blog in which a game developer or team talks about the process they’ve made over the course of the game’s creation. Maintaining a devblog keeps your audience in the know and helps facilitate productivity so you’ll have something to blog about. It also serves as a record of problems you encounter as well as the solutions you find for those problems.
Development logs are essentially the same thing, except we’ll be using the jam forums rather than a blog. However, you are free to use both the forums and your own blog as you develop your game.
Doing so is not necessary at all, but check out all the logs from last jam! In order to get the most out of your jam experience, it is vital that you interact with your fellow jammers and the community surrounding it. They’ll provide valuable feedback and support to help you along the way. So please, we encourage you to mingle, post in other logs, and of course post your own!
