That picture made me think. What if Charlie and Vaggie met the gender swapped versions of themselves from another universe?

Charles: (sparkle eyed) Awwww! LOOK HOW CUTE YOU TWO ARE!!!!! (goes in for a hug)

Vaggie: (side steps out of the way)

Charlie: (welcomes the hug) Us?! Look at you guys! You're so adorable! (Pinches and wiggles Charles's cheek dots)

Vaggie: (sighs in good humor as she watches the two golden retrievers gush over how adorable they are before glancing at her gender swap counterpart) So, what did Adam call you?

Dickey: .......It was Eve in my universe.... and what do you think? Just call me Dickey.

Vaggie: Fair...

Dickey: (chuckles deeply as Charles starts braiding Charlie's hair) He loves doing that to my hair. Not very good, but it's nice to see him do it to someone else that I don't have a burning desire to stab.

Vaggie: (chuckles as Charlie starts weaving flowers into Charles's shorter hair) Totally get the feeling.

Charles: Dickey! Dickey! Look! We match!

Charlie: Vaggie! (Does a little spin to show off her Rapunzel braid with flowers) Isn't it pretty?!

Vaggie & Dickey: Looking good, babe.

Charlie & Charles: (blush bright red and giggle)

Charlie: (eyes up Dickey and Vaggie) Your Vaggie is quite handsome.

Charles: Isn't he, though? (Eyes up Dickey and Vaggie and licks his lips subconsciously) Your version of Dickey is gorgeous.

Vaggie & Dickey: DON'T GET ANY IDEAS!!! I'M NOT PARTNER SWAPPING!!!

Charlie & Charles: (pout) Awww......

Having seen Lola/Minnie through you, now I'm shipping Bugs/Mickey and Daffy/Donald. Bugs/Mickey is very opposites attract (tricksy jokester and sweetie) and Daffy/Donald is more like enemies-to-lovers. I also like baffy and dicky (as well as the het canon ships) but sometimes it's nice to change it up, you know?

I know exactly what you mean, Anon. It is nice to change things up. I actually ship all of those ships you mentioned too, including the het canon ones. I love Baffy and Dickey. And I love Mickey x Bugs and Donald x Daffy because Who Framed Roger Rabbit was a big part of my childhood.

And those relationship dynamics are on point 😉👌

Nope, That Is Not a Blouse: Simplicity 9817

This set of re-issued accessories from the 1950s has some expected items and some unusual ones. Collars and cuffs that could be switched out, and thus give some variety to one dress, were a standard feature from at least the late 19th Century onward. Here, you see two rounded versions and one designed to look like lapels on a blouse.

Hair bows too date way back although this is a bow on a headband which was a newer look in the 1950s. The bias-cut sash, which you see on the bottom row in red and in green stripes is also a traditional idea and here it is pulled through a buckle.

A newer idea was the dickey that looked like a blouse. These were often recommended during World War II when fabric was hard to get. A woman could use just a small bit of fabric, maybe a remnant from a bigger project, and could give a new look under a dress that could not be replaced. It was also possible, as it is suggested by these illustration to wear a dickey under a suit as you see in the lower right hand corner with a two-color version. Yes, it looks like a wrapped blouse or a halter top, but this item actually has back and no sides and ties at the waist. I am not sure I see the point unless you had a desperate lack of fabric. Wouldn't it be no more difficult to make a halter top, or a sleeveless blouse? And surely, wearing an actual top would be more comfortable and less awkward, and allow you to doff your jacket if you liked.

I was on a discord call w some of my friends and we were talking about the ships and dumb scenarios, and one of my friends was like

"I dunno- Mickey showing up for a date with his hair slicked back, a tuxedo and some flowers (which are probably shriveled at the ends but its ok guys!) at Derek's door to pick him up for their next date, and his mom opens the door being like '😨🤨' and gets mad at Derek fornot telling her about the date and Mickeys just in the background like 🧍"

We also thought of elementary school Stu and Billy, and we imagined they had like a small little sandbox area (mine did☠️) and Stu would make castles with him.

Swap Meet 2: Go Get 'Er, Tiger.

Charles: (staring at Vaggie sitting on the couch in the foyer from around the corner)

Dickey: (teasing monotone) Creeper alert.

Charles: Oh, come on, Dickey! She's just so CUTE!!! (Holds Dickey in a tight hug and rubs their cheeks together) She's YOU, but in GIRL form!!! I'd expect nothing less but absolutely gorgeous because you- (holds Dickey out at arms length and boops his nose with an eyebrow wiggle) -are so devilishly handsome.~

Dickey: (quirks an eyebrow with an *is that so?* smirk) Nice save, hun.

Charles: You know I love you. More than anything in this universe and ours.

Dickey: But you want to try to flirt with my female counterpart.

Charles: Only if you're okay with it! .....but yes.... (Falls to his knees and hugs Dickey's thighs while smooshing his face into the buckle of his belt) She's just so cute and tiny! I wanna pick her up and twirl her around like a princess!

Dickey: (blushes as he tries to will himself to stay flaccid) Funny coming from the Prince of Hell. (Leans his upper half over Charles's head and glances at Vaggie) Alright.

Charles: (Gasp!) REALLY?!?!?!

Dickey: You fall into the bisexual stereotype so hard it almost isn't funny, but you're right. She's me. (pulls Charles to his feet and adjusts his suit so it looks crisp) Go get 'er, tiger.

Charles: (sparkly eyes and brushes his fingers through his hair to appear more suave before sauntering around the corner to the couch, crossing his leg over and leaning on the arm) Well, hello there, Vaggie~

Dickey: (smirks knowingly as he crosses his arms and leans against the wall) Three..... two..... one..... and-

-Dickey snaps his fingers the exact moment a resounding SMACK echoes through the lobby-

Charles: YEEEOUCH!!!!

Vaggie: I ONLY LET CHARLIE GET AWAY WITH THAT, PENDEJO!!!

Dickey: Yup, she's definitely me. (Pushes himself off the wall and walks leisurely into the foyer to conduct damage control)
