Mood Board if Disney ever creates a "Swan Lake" Musical

I CAN NOT be the only one who sees the parallels between this and "The Little Mermaid." It'd be fun to have references to it in an adaptation. I definitely like the idea of Odette being one of the more mature Disney females like Meg and Belle, while Siegfried (unless they change his name to sound a bit more contemporary; maybe they could rename him Ivan to reference many Russian fairy tales) is more of a dreamer and innocent, akin to Hercules. I'd also like it if they kept the Russian culture instead of going the generic European route so many fantasy stories take (I know it's set in Germany, but I do think Eastern European cultures need more attention). Of course, given everything going on, this may be something they'd have to wait to make.

Side note: I'd also make Odette a brunette here, as she's typically regarded as one, plus it makes her stand out from Barbie and Swan Princess.
