i think the wildest interaction i've had on this website is a person who claimed that mentally ill people weren't really disabled, because they were capable of leaving the house, when OP personally wasn't capable of that because they needed a wheelchair and either didn't have one or their apartment didn't have elevators.

when i pointed out that there were plenty of physically disabled people that are capable of leaving their house, and that "ability to leave the house" is not the end-all-be-all disability, whether mental or physical, they called me ableist and blocked me.

like i'm not mad that they were upset about their really fucked up situation, but it was also kinda fucked up that they were implying the only real disabilities were the ones they personally experience. like you're not an ally to other disabled people, you clearly only care about disability activism to the extent that it affects you, so why are pretending to be an activist to all physically disabled people. just say "my personal situation sucks very bad" and move on.

lowkey, I kinda love leaning into the dumbass trope, because I not only have adhd and often forget to take my meds so I end up with Funky Thoughts™, but also I'm often the only guy in a friend group, so I end up being viewed through a lens of "oh he's just a dumb man, he does dumb stuff like put oranges in microwaves" while I get to internally laugh maniacally when a girl decides to explain to me incorrect female anatomy that I CLEARLY know more about because she very obviously only learned about it from smut books. I back up this facade by often taking jokes about periods literally. Also I keep up the general dumbass trope with regular dumbassery, drinking vinegar, putting oranges in microwaves, filling condoms with pepsi and then shaking them up, trying to shave with knives, but suddenly, every now and then, I'll play a concerningly well planned set of moves in tic tac toe, or spend a day without doing or saying anything stupid, keep them on their toes

Look if you as a neurotypical (or even just not overstimulated/sensory issue) person can't do the bare minimum of helping people with sensory issues in your life by doing basic tasks such as getting groceries or not turning on bright lights etc, you're just a person I don't want to interact with you at all (unless you got a personal reason beyond "its weird.")

It's really just the bare minimum of being a consistent person, and if you're only response to someone having basic needs like 'please don't play high pitched noises' is to complain about it, you're just an ass. Seriously it shouldn't be a high standard to just be considerate of people's needs

They keep eating the same freaking food and it frustrates me so much! We can't have the "big scary light" on just lamps everywhere! Even when I try to find peace by doing stuff with them they just ignore me and do whatever they want. They can't even do the simplest of things like go with me to the grocery store every week! How do people expect them to survive in society??

So as long as we get my 10 packets of this really specific food, and some snacks, I'll be okay. Also is it cool if you go to the grocery store?
