Ok but Oliver and Carter really do have this underrated fantastic dynamic. Because yes, the constant bickering and jabs and jokes are pure comedy but there's also some really important scenes between them. Oliver being the first to hear about his neverending tale with Shayera and telling him to give up the death wish and fight for the friends he initially stayed for. Then cut to Carter offering condolence when Chloe is MIA in season 10. Theres still that snarky back and forth in Oliver's "you're not gonna hug me are you?" But deep down there was heart there. And they always got the message even with the grumpy façade

Please a Clark fic, where reader is a new intern adn Clark is just love struck. And he slowly starts to court (?) the reader, and at some point take him home for a home-cooked meal, where the reader meets Conner and Jon. I think Conner at first doesn't really like reader, but Jon immediately clings to reader. After some time Conner warms up to reader and they all become a happy family
Of course my dear anon. Some superfam sounds good right now. Also, I have decided to make (Y/N) from Gotham... It sounds good, trust me.
Summary: Clark likes (Y/N). Conner is suspicious.
Warnings: I don't think there's any... Fluff mostly.
Tumblr media
" Morning Clark. " Lois said to him as she passed him to get some coffee. Clark simply nodded as he booted his computer to start up. He had a piece to write about Lex Luthor scandal which for once wasn't brought to light by the Justice League.
An anonymous whistleblower who contacted Daily Planet with a shit ton of damning evidence. Clark jumped on the said opportunity to expose Lex, both as Superman and Clark Kent.
" Working on the Lex thing? " She asked as she came back, leaning on the edge of his desk, glancing at the computer screen to check the progress. " Yes, it's great to see how he's slowly crumbling. The stock share prices are going down faster than our faith in humanity. " Clark said with a smile, making Lois chuckle.
" Yeah, it's truly satisfying. Also, I have some news for you Smallville. " She said, stopping to sip her warm coffee. Clark raised his brow, fixing his glasses as he leaned back in his chair, smoothing his pants out.
" What those might be Lois? " Clark asked, turning his chair to face her fully.
" We got an intern. Someone from Gotham it seems. His name is (Y/N) and he will work in this department. " Lois stated, lifting her cup of coffee as if she was silently saying finally.
" Oh really? " Clark asked, tilting his head in curiosity. " It seems that Perry has decided to throw us a bone. We could use a courier. " Clark joked and Lois chuckled.
It's nice to have an extra set of hands. " Also, did you say he was from Gotham? " Clark inquired and Lois nodded. Clark whistled quietly. Gotham people are often tougher and more direct and even more blunt.
Clark knew that very well, ahem, read Bruce.
" That will be a nice change of pace. Someone with tough skin. " Clark noted and Lois nodded.
" Now we have someone to take as a bodyguard when we go out. Everyone is afraid of Gotham people. " She joked, sipping more of her coffee before her eyes moved forward, right behind Clark. He turned his chair around to check what she was looking at.
She was looking at the new intern who entered with their boss, Perry White. The room fell silent as Perry stood with a tall guy, (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes in a suit, standing with a stoic look on his face. And there was a Gotham aura and vibe radiating from (Y/N).
Clark had to stifle a chuckle.
" Everyone, this is our new intern, his name is (Y/N). He transferred from Gotham. Be nice to him. I don't want chaos around here. As for you (Y/N), you'll be working with Kent. He is more than capable to show you the ropes. " Perry said and Clark raised his brow from his seat.
Being a mentor isn't new to him anymore, ever since Conner came as a clone and stepping up ever since then. And since Jon came into the picture, he had no choice but to really step it up as a father. Since the mom left...
Clark rubbed his forehead for a moment, then set his sight back on (Y/N). Clark looked him up and down subtly. He... He is drop dead gorgeous in Clark's eyes. Clark did have a few relationships with men in the past, but he was always more attracted to women.
But the tides have changed.
Clark has been struck with probably love at first sight. He never really felt like this before... So lovestruck. Oh Bruce would have laughed so hard at him in this situation...
Oh God and he is responsible for (Y/N) too? This won't be good in the slightest. He gulped quietly as Perry led (Y/N) to him and the office started bustling with activity again.
" This is Clark Kent (Y/N). Kent, you'll be making sure he gets the basics down since I'm sure Gotham Daily Planet is not up to standard with us. " Perry joked, making (Y/N) laugh.
Clark's heart did a few flips at the laughter. Oh dear God, (Y/N) is so damn adorable when he laughs. But he looks so damn tough too and it makes it a bit more difficult to read.
Gotham does make you more tough.
" Also, this is Lois. " Perry introduced and (Y/N) shook hands with her. Clark stood up and shook hands with (Y/N), whose hands were so soft. Oddly enough. For a Gothamite especially.
" Clark, nice to meet you. " Clark said with a firm handshake. (Y/N) nodded. " (Y/N), nice to meet you. " He said politely.
" Well, I'll take you around the office to show you around and then you can help Kent or whatever else he needs. " Perry said before he led (Y/N) away, telling him about the Daily Planet and how good the place is.
" You are in love Smallville. " Lois said behind her coffee mug making Clark sigh quietly.
She won't let this go.
" Don't you have some work Lois? " Clark asked her, clearly not in the mood to deal with her teasing. Lois simply snickered and raised her hand and mug in a way to show she surrenders and left to go to her desk, that was, coincidentally, right next to Clark's.
" This is will be fun. " Lois muttered under her breath, knowing fully well that Clark could hear her. Clark simply rolled his eyes. She was right, though, this was going to be fun. Clark listened intently to Perry and (Y/N)'s conversation. His super hearing is something that he can't just turn off anyway.
Might as well use it.
After a few months, Clark decided to start making his moves. He decided to start with bringing some coffee every morning to them both. (Y/N) was suspicious at first, the Gotham nature in him telling him to not trust because, again, Gotham makes you on guard all the time.
Especially when someone is nice to you. Maybe (Y/N) is a bit more cold, but every Gotham native is like that. If you try to be nice to them, they are a bit suspicious. Can you blame (Y/N)? But, Clark's ambition and patience had slowly been paying it off.
It started with small cups of coffee every morning to get the energy going for writing and editing articles. (Y/N)'s editing skills were insanely good and Clark was more than impressed the first time (Y/N) showed him the finished version.
Then, (Y/N) was being sent out on the field with a camera to capture events and what not. Perry justified with the saying, you are from Gotham, you'll be fine.
And that turned out to be true actually.
One day, while dropping off some photos at Perry's office, his face was bloody and it was clear that there was some sort of brawl or a fight. Clark and the rest of the office was concerned, but (Y/N) simply acted casually, as if nothing had happened to him.
The only thing he is said is, 'You should see the other guy.'
It made Clark think of Bruce and his nature. Tough Gotham nature.
But Clark had a lot of experience with that nature. Again, dealing with Bruce's nature made it easier to navigate (Y/N). And although (Y/N) and Bruce are two completely opposite people in every shape and form, it still gave Clark good points what not to do and what to do.
And slowly but surely, he did it.
He asked (Y/N) to come with him to his house, for some dinner. A nice good, old, home cooked meal. A recipe his mom sent him so he could impress (Y/N).
(Y/N) was pleasantly surprised and decided to say yes. As well, (Y/N) knew that Clark is a father. 2 boys, if he could judge from his framed photos on his desk. One younger and one older.
Conner and Jon if (Y/N) remembers correctly. Jon is younger and Conner is the older one. And (Y/N) remembered that Clark was a single parent.
So, (Y/N) decided to accept and say yes to the call, never saying no to a good, nice, homecooked meal. And Clark was a nice guy too so it wasn't a bad thing. He was cute too and (Y/N) slowly started to like him.
So, entering his place, he was greeted by Clark's sons, Jon and Conner. Jon is a bubbly personality, immediately clinging onto him. (Y/N) thought that he was adorable.
But Conner was a whole another story. He was more cold and calculating and clearly suspicious of (Y/N). (Y/N) respected it. Don't trust people that have just entered your life.
All in all, the dinner went well and Clark and (Y/N) went on a few dates and soon enough started dating seriously. Soon enough, after a few years, the two got married.
However, during that time, Conner and (Y/N) got more and more closer. It was a nice feeling and was rather emotional for them both. Clark was happy and soon enough, (Y/N) had two boys to call his sons, despite not being biologically related to them.

Superpham AU (part 6)
Masterpost
Lois prides herself at being good at rolling with the unexpected. Unfortunately, all of her experience with aliens and supervillains and magic has not prepared her for Danny.
Danny has a disconcerting habit of dropping disturbing or traumatizing information in an off-hand way, seeming to not even realize the implications of his own words. It started with what he said about the dimension he'd grown up in discriminating against people with powers, then with what he'd said about the red son and the lack of superheroes, but it just keeps happening.
Lois tries not to call attention to it, because she prefers it to the alternative, which is Danny shutting himself up in his room and refusing to talk to any of them.
Lex Luthor is on the nightly news-- as he so often is-- and Lois has to explain the man's many crimes to Danny. (No, Jon, it is not a rant.)
"Oh," Danny says. "He sounds like Vlad."
"Vlad?" Lois asks.
"Yeah, Vlad Masters. He's my godfather. He's a total fruitloop who wanted to marry my mom and make me his son."
Lois carefully does not react. She wants Danny to tell her things. She wants to know what his life was like when she wasn't in it. "That sounds..."
"Yeah, he tried to clone me. Well, I guess he succeeded, but none of them were stable except for Ellie, and she wasn't really that stable to begin with."
"Ellie?"
"Yeah, short for Danielle. She went by Dani-with-an-I for a while, but she decided she wanted her own name."
That is not the part Lois was looking for clarification on. She goes with it anyway. "Tell me about her," Lois says, and tries not to be concerned about Danny’s descriptions of a teenage girl who apparently lives and travels on her own because she doesn't like to be stuck in one place. Ellie doesn't even get the full benefit of being quarter Kryptonian, living in a world with a red sun.
The four of them are sitting down to dinner-- pizza again; one of them should probably cook sometime this week, but Lois and Clark are both on deadlines-- when Clark asks Danny more about his adoptive family, the ones he grew up with.
He looks sad, the way he always does whenever his adoptive parents come up.   Lois can hardly blame him, when he lost them in such a sudden and traumatic way.
"They're scientists," Danny says.  "Or they were.  They studied, um, the Ghost Zone and the things that live there.  They didn't really understand it at first-- they thought all the-- um, everything from there was evil and needed to be killed, but they learned they were wrong eventually."
Lois meets Clark's eyes and knows he is as concerned about what happened before that 'eventually' as she is.  Still, neither of them comment, not wanting Danny to clam up again..
Jon, however, has no such reservations.  "That's really messed up."
Danny shrugs.  "Yeah, kind of.  They came around, though.  And I think they blamed themselves for how bad the GIW got because they were the ones who designed the weapons."
"The GIW?" Lois asks, instead of what she really wants to know, which is: Your adoptive parents designed weapons to be used against beings from another dimension??? Did they know what you were?
"Guys in White," Danny says.  "I don't think that was their real name, but they were from the government."
"Your parents built weapons for them?" Clark asks, his tone deceptively light.  "I thought they were scientists."
"They dabbled in a lot of things.  But they were fantastic engineers."  Danny segues into a story about some of the modifications his adoptive parents made to their car, which is a topic only slightly better for Lois's heart.
Later that night, Lois is sitting in bed, checking her emails on her phone, when Clark sits down next to her and turns on the white noise machine they keep on the nightstand.  (It's the only way to have private conversations when your child-- children-- have super-hearing.)
"I'm concerned about Danny," he says.
"No shit."  The more Danny tells them about the dimension he grew up in, the more Lois hates it.  "But there's nothing we can do now except be there for him."
"I know people who have traveled across dimensions, you know," Clark says.  "I could always ask for a favor."
"You won't," Lois says.  "Because if you do, I'm going to end up committing felonies in another dimension."
Clark smiles humorlessly. "What makes you think I wouldn't be there with you?"
"Because you're a better person than I am."  Clark never believes her when she says that, but it's true.  Clark is a fundamentally good person.  Lois tries to be a good person, but there's a reason she's not a superhero.
-----
Kon intended to stop by Metropolis several days ago.  Or at least call Clark back.  But he’d gotten sidetracked by an earthquake in Southeast Asia, and then by Dr Light causing problems in California.
He gets a few hours of sleep back in Smallville, then remembers that he’d planned on dropping by Metropolis and meeting Danny days before.  He walks the last few blocks to Lois and Clark’s house— flying would be way too noticeable in their neighborhood— and lets himself in.  He walks up to the living room and spots Lois there, furiously typing on her laptop.
Kon is man enough to admit, at least within his own head, that Lois kind of intimidates him. Sure, Clark is physically stronger, but there’s an intensity to Lois that Clark lacks.  She glances up at Kon, and even though she’s smiling, he still feels pinned under her gaze.
Kon shifts uncomfortably, reminds himself that unless he turns into a corrupt businessman or something, he’s not actually in danger from Lois Lane.
“You here to see Danny?” she asks.
“Yeah.”  Kon shoves his hands in his jacket pockets.  “I figured I should probably meet him.”
“He’s in his room,” Lois says.  “He’s not… It’s not a good day, but maybe he’ll talk to you.  He hasn’t exactly gotten the chance to be around anyone his own age since he showed up.”
Kon knocks on the door to Danny’s room.
“Come in,” a voice calls from inside.
Kon’s first thought is that he looks more like Clark than Danny does.  Stupid; of course he does.  He’s Clark’s clone.  But then, Jon resembles Clark almost as strongly as Kon does, so maybe it wasn’t a completely stupid thought.
Danny is sprawled on his stomach across his bed, phone in his hand.  There’s a video playing on it— someone talking about the history of the Justice League— but he’s ignoring it, watching Kon with a wary expression.  The room is still as bland as it ever was; other than the clothes tossed haphazardly on the floor, there’s no sign a teenage boy lives here.
“I’m guessing you’re Kon?”
“That’s me.”  They stare at each other awkwardly for a moment.
“Have you actually seen any of Metropolis, or have you just been hanging out in here?” Kon asks.
“Lois took me shopping for some stuff,” Danny says.
“Okay, no,” Kon says.  “You have got to get out of this house.”
“You don’t even live in Metropolis,” Danny says.
Kon shrugs. “Doesn’t matter; I’ve spent more time here than you.” There’s an old-school arcade he’s been to a handful of times, and a couple of places to eat.  Anything has got to be better than Danny hanging out and brooding in this sad bedroom by himself.
It's a warm day outside.  The sun shines down on the two of them as they walk in near-silence toward downtown.  The awkward silence doesn't quite break until they're at the arcade, competing on an old racing game.
"I don't think we have this one in my dimension.  The other dimension.  Whatever."  Danny says.
"Yeah?"  Kon speeds ahead of Danny in the game, just in time to cross the finish line.  Danny groans.
"Yeah, but this world doesn't seem to have Doomed, either," Danny says as they start another race.  "There's a lot of little differences like that."
"That's gotta be weird," Kon says.
"Yeah, Clark kind of freaked out when I told him the sun there was red."
Yeah, Kon can see why.  They talk more as they play more video games, and Danny tells Kon about his friends and what they'd do when they were hanging out in his hometown of Amity Park.  The main people he talks about are his best friends, Sam and Tucker, and his older sister, Jazz, but he mentions a few others.
"Wait, who is Ellie again?" Kon asks, after Danny shares a story about a prank she pulled on another kid at Danny's school.  They've left the arcade, and are hanging out at the diner a few blocks away.  It's not the coolest place-- in fact, it looks like a grandmother decorated it-- but Clark introduced Kon to it, and it has great food.
"Oh, I didn't tell you?" Danny asks.  "She's my clone."
Kon chokes a little on his soda.  "You have a clone?"
-----
Danny is probably being paranoid.
Scratch that, he's definitely being paranoid. Lois and Clark have been nothing but nice, and they're clearly used to weird things happening. Like, even aside from the whole alien superhero thing, Lois just saw a kid fall out of a portal and decided to help?  Plus, Clark is an actual superhero.
Even his— the Fentons came around on the whole “ghost powers” thing.  Eventually.  But he’s gotten used to hiding, to trying to blend in.
(And what had them accepting him done for them in the end?  They’re dead, the GIW killed them.)
He’d rather hide than suddenly discover that Lois and Clark aren’t cool with their long-lost son being half dead.
Some of his powers he can pass off as Kryptonian— super strength, flight, enhanced senses.  He knows Lois saw his ghost form, and though she hasn’t asked about it, he’s pretty sure it’s just a matter of time.
These thoughts circle through his mind over and over, only leaving him temporarily when he’s hanging out with the Lane-Kents.
His bio family.
That’s not much better, though; there’s a sadness in Lois and Clark’s eyes whenever they look at him, although they try to hide it.  Jon just a kid, and clearly doesn’t know what to make of the whole situation.  Lois keeps saying they are going to introduce him to more people, especially people his own age, but Danny shies away from that.  He doesn’t want to meet more people.  He doesn’t want to get comfortable here.
Still, he’s glad he came out with Kon.  An afternoon of videogames and greasy food hasn’t solved any of his problems, but it’s a nice break, and Kon has already promised to introduce Danny to his friends— a whole team of teenage superheroes.
“I can’t get over how many heroes there are here,” Danny says.  “Like, why do you even need that many?”  Sure, it would have been nice to have some more backup when he was Phantom, but in this world there seems to be at least one superhero for every major city, plus some extra.
Kon shrugs. “Natural disasters, alien invasions, supervillains, street crime… No one can handle all of it.”
Out of all the things he’s encountered so far in this dimension, this might be Danny’s favorite.  Even more than the proven existence of aliens.  Back home, Amity Park needed Phantom, even if they hated him.  But the world here doesn’t need Phantom.
It’s kind of freeing, and Danny hates it.  He doesn’t want to like anything about this dimension more than his own.
Would it really be that bad?  You might be stuck here forever, a little voice inside his head whispers.
He ignores it.

Yandere-ish!Clark Kent/Superman x Coworker!Reader
This was messily written. I wrote as it came to me.
Warnings: Forced Amnesia, Pregnancy, Unintentional Cheating, Kidnapping, Yandere Behavior, Forced Relationships.
Summary: You were reborn in the DC world and started working at the Daily Planet. You didn't plan to start a relationship with the Superman, it just happened. Though you probably will regret it.
You were just a below average person, nobody really, in your first life. When you suddenly passed, you didn't know what to expect. But, you certainly didn't expect to be reborn.
Growing up in a suburb with loving parents was absolutely pleasant. They encouraged you to do your best and try everything at least once. It sets your new life on a positive path with a lifelong career.
Everything seemed normal, it looked almost like you were given a second chance at life. Until you noticed familiar names. At first you brushed them off as coincident, until you read what happened in a small town named Smallville.
Your dream was to be an editorial writer, nothing too flashy but, it was a passion you never pursued. Though with how things were going, it might be. After all, you grew up in Metropolis.
Years later you started to work at the Daily Planet. Lois Lane was a headache and a half. She was an amazing journalist, she submitted stories before the deadline, her articles bring the most profit, but for some reason she would drop the newbies on you when she smelled a story.
It wasn't too bad, you got the newbies settled in and made new friends. Perry White, your boss, gives you all the credit when things run smoothly and lessens your workload when he sees it happen. When Clark Kent shows up, Perry warns Lois to not drop him on you. You counted yourself lucky when Clark followed Lois around, even when she tried leaving him.
Jimmy Olsen, the last newbie officially assigned to you, would invite you and the others to coffee. It was a regular thing that a few of you joined in. At some point Clark was roped in. You still kept your distance as much as you could. But, his boy scout attitude caught up and he managed to wedge himself into your life.
One morning at work, Lois decided to dump her workload on you because she had to be the first to catch a scoop. Clark was nice enough to help, until he tilted his head and excused himself. Lois came back with a headliner and Clark scowled her for dumping her work on someone else. Perry gave her an earful.
Strangely Lois kept dumping her work on others, in favor of looking for a bigger story. She usually did come back with one, so Perry would only reprimand her on work ethics. Then Clark started to bring in more coherent stories that were on par with Lois’. Least to say she started to get jealous.
After a year with Clark working at the organization, you, and Jimmy, became closer to Clark. You could tell that Jimmy knew about Clark being Superman. Though you feigned ignorance for your own protection. But, life had other plans.
Someone, probably a villain, sent Clark a box of kryptonite at the building. You shoved the box into an old filing cabinet made of lead before it could affect him. No one knew about Superman's weakness yet.
After work, Jimmy took the kryptonite and Clark asked to speak with you. You told him how you were reborn and knew things from your past life. You never told what exactly you knew, but assured him you wouldn't do anything to hurt someone with your information. Clark accepts what you told him, most likely from listening to your heartbeat.
From there you somehow get roped into small adventures with Clark and Jimmy. It didn't affect your work, but you wished life would go back to normal. The three of you got closer and you ended up meeting the Kent family. Martha and John were lovely people to be around. Even though they kept assuming you were either with Clark, or Jimmy, romantically. It seemed like they were proven right a year later.
You don't know how it happened, but you and Clark started to develop a deeper connection. Jimmy would whine about being the third wheel whenever he could. When things started to get serious, something unbelievable happened.
Someone with the ability to change the present, made it so that Superman, Clark, would forget you and start a relationship with Lois Lane. To balance the world and make everything right. What they failed to do was to wipe everyone else's memory of you.
Jimmy, the only person that knew about your relationship, was absolutely mad that Clark started to ignore you. Then became downright furious when he suddenly went after Lois. You had to calm him down and explain everything. He wasn't happy, but understood there was nothing he could do. When you found out you were pregnant, Jimmy did something without telling you.
Your pregnancy was hard, not only because of the pain and mood swings but from carrying a super fetus. Jimmy was with you every step of the way, Clark awkwardly assumed Jimmy was the father. It hurt knowing Clark was there, not having a single memory of you two together. Then Martha and John came to your baby shower. It turned out Jimmy told them what happened and they wanted to help.
Raising your son was difficult, but with the help of Jimmy, the Kents, and your parents the load was lessened. By the time your son turned five, Batman entered the picture.
You were shaken to your core. The Batman was standing in your kitchen after you settled your boy to bed. You told him everything, or at least everything that involved you, Superman, and your son. He left after telling you he would be in touch.
When it was closing in on your son's seventh birthday, Clark visited you. He looked haggard and devastated. When you both sat down, he told you how he regained his memory and how sorry he was that he wasn't there for you. You assured him it wasn't his fault and asked if he wanted to be a part of your son's life. He introduced himself as your coworker, not ready to tell the boy the truth.
His relationship with Lois ended. It caused a hostile environment at work. She would try to dump her work on you, but Clark would either finish it or hand it back. Perry would reel her in and ground her with desk work. After a while it seemed to calm down until the most devastating news came.
Lex Luthor kidnapped your son.
Lois let slip that Superman had a son and heavily implied that you were the mother. Your son didn't have any abilities except slight strength. He was just an ordinary boy. Superman was furious and went after Luthor without mercy.
On screen, for the world to see, was Luthor standing over Superman with kryptonite in his hand. Your son was crying and begging for Superman to get up. Luthor was trying to “prove” kryptonians were dangerous by showing the destruction caused.
Luthor walked up to your son, who was shaking, with the kryptonite. Your breath was stuck in your chest. Then your son swung his fist at Luthor. He helplessly kept punching the man's legs. Luthor laughed and held the meteorite close to your son's face. Without hesitating, your son grabbed the thing and threw it as far away as he could. Luthor was shocked. So were you.
Superman regained some of his strength and punched the man unconscious. He clarified that your son wasn't Superman's son and that Luthor was a madman. You were happy for your son's safe return and that Luthor was thrown in prison.
Clark didn't let you, or your son, out of his sight. He brought you both to the Fortress of Solitude and checked your son's genetic makeup. He did not have the same genetic condition that causes kryptonians to react to kryptonite. It would still have a mild effect, but essentially he was immune. He also didn't seem likely to be able to fully obtain kryptonian abilities. His slight strength was a marker on what to expect in the future.
When you asked to be sent home, Superman refused. It was much safer for you both to be here. Where he wouldn't lose either of you and never be able to forget.

To give my Real Opinion on the whole Clark vs Lois issue (since people are giving me theirs), I'm surprised it is an issue, since it's very clearly supposed to be an conflict where both people made decisions that made sense from their point of view but still hurt each other. It makes sense that Clark would be insecure about telling Lois this when she's acting distrustful of Superman, and it makes sense he'd freak out and not handle a situation where she was putting a lot of pressure on him well. It also makes sense that Lois would be angry (and probably humiliated) and upset that Clark not only lied to her face when she was begging him to tell her the truth, but left her where she couldn't help him when she was worried sick about him.
Honestly, I think a lot of you aren't being honest about how you'd feel if you had a friend who disappeared every time something dangerous happened, you spent a lot of time frantically searching and worrying about that friend each time, only to find out oh hey, your friend was well aware of how worried you were and was actually right there but they were pretending to be someone else instead of letting you in on what was happening. You'd feel played with.
And Clark also KEPT lying when she was basically saying "hey stop lying to me. I know." He did it instinctively. She was begging him to tell her, and he didn't. That's going to hurt, and that's going to be galling. She definitely felt she had no other choice than to do something drastic, because she can't enter a relationship with someone she knows is lying to her and here he is, refusing to come clean. She's a reporter, the need to know drives her.
"Lois isn't entitled to Clark's private information, they haven't known each other that long", sure, but Clark vanishes in dangerous situations and causes real distress, Clark has been discussing Superman with Lois and unconsciously trying to manipulate her feelings on him while not telling her the whole truth, and you'd feel weird if someone did that, you'd feel kinda violated! And even if someone told you they weren't doing that to laugh at you, wouldn't you be hurt and humiliated?!
When exactly IS Lois entitled to Clark's info? When they start dating? How many months is it okay for him to date her without him telling her he's actually the guy she spends every waking minute trying to interview? Would he have told her as their relationship got serious? Not knowing that is probably scary and if I was Lois I'd think twice about if I wanted this either!
And what's especially scary is that yeah, he did leave her behind to so he could possibly go get killed when she was begging him not to. That's terrifying. She was probably terrified the entire time she waited. He was able to take her choice away from her, and Lois does not like feeling helpless. Clark was scared of her getting hurt, so he enforced his will and so shewas scared for HIM. and then he refused to talk about those worries!
It's also pretty galling when she's already helped him out in several fights- she's proven she can be useful and helpful! I'd be mad too! I'm sure there was a little vindictiveness in her actions- you see how you like it when someone takes your choice away too.
At the same time, Clark is clearly not comfortable showing people his whole self. He still doesn't know who he is, and he goes into panic mode about it. He's very scared of people being hurt because of him. What he did made sense from his point of view. And I'm sure he's not happy to be forced to reveal his secret.
It doesn't matter 'who's more right'. It's not a game they get to win! They both violated each other's boundaries. Their feelings both make sense from their perspective, and interesting conflicts are complicated. And I like it when characters don't just react to everything flawlessly. There's a lot of drama in secret identities, and sometimes stories have conflict.
I do agree this should have happened later in the season or as a season 2 thing, but that's sadly just life in this streaming hell era. They didn't know if they'd get a season 2 to tell the story they wanted. We have to take the conflict as it is. And let's face it, if Lois had taken longer to figure out, y'all would be making fun of her for being dumb. Lois is for some reason always the butt of that joke even though nobody else can see Clark is Superman either- and when she does figure it out (as she usually does!) and has anything other than positive feelings about it she still gets blamed. Just enjoy having a character who can have complex feelings.
If you hate relationship conflict, there's stuff for you out there! Read Superman Family Adventures by Art Baltazar, it's very cute low stakes low conflict stuff and has an actual Himbo Clark.

Too Late
Tumblr media
Pairing: Clark Kent x plus size witch reader
Summary: All you ever wanted was for Clark to be happy, even if it wasn't you
requested by @salenorona23
You were typing furiously by your monitor, eyes glued on the screen.
You mutter under your breath, cursing your boss, Perry.
“You okay there?”
You look up and see Clark walking up to you in your seat.
“No, Perry didn’t like my pitch. I had to start from scratch.” You said in frustration.
"Don't worry, he does that to me 4 times a week." He said.
"Don't you pitch four stories a week?" You ask.
"Exactly." He replied, making you both laugh.
"Smallville, we need to head for lunch before I start tearing off heads." Lois Lane said as she was scrimmaging her bag, not bothering to say hello to you.
"You wanna join us? We could all split the bill at that chinese restaurant downtown." He asks.
"I brought some food in the break room. And I know not to get in the way with your pork dumplings. Have fun with Lois." You said, returning to your screen.
He smiles at you and runs after Lois. He stops in his track as he looks back at you, wondering how you knew his order if you two never really hung out before?
He shakes his head and caught up to Lois as they made their way to the restaurant.
A few minutes passed, and you got up from your desk and headed to the break room. Now that you were alone, you locked the door and pulled out a small mirror that fit inside of your tote back and muttered a short phrase.
"Show me him."
The mirror swirled with a purple light and transformed your reflection into the present, where you saw Clark laughing at what Lois said. They looked like they were having a time of their mundane lives.
You hated it, but you can't look away. The way he looked at her... it was the same way he looked at you.
But he doesn't remember.
It happened about a few months ago. There was an accident at a LexCorp building as it begun to collapse down. Clark was running late from a date to save everyone that night, but right when he was about to fly out, his powers gave out. The room radiated with blue kryptonite, a rock that took away his powers and made him an ordinary man. He tried to escape, but too much debris knocked him down and made him unconscious.
You were waiting for him at the restaurant where you'd meet up. Yes, there were occasions that Clark would come late... but you knew in your gut something was wrong as you didn't see Clark in sight, so you used your powers to transport to where he was.
No good ever happened when people knew your secret as you reformed from an evil Covet, except to Clark.
He accepted you without hesitation and loved every part of you that you hated. And you helped he realized he wasn't alone. Your emotions took you to where he was, and you panicked as you saw him on the ground, unconscious. You made a force field around you as you transported out with a spell. You were far away to God knows where and you tried to wake him up.
"Please..." You begged him to just open his eyes.
He did in fact opened those beautiful blue piercing eyes that had hints of green in them.
But they were in confusion as he saw you.
"What's going on? What just happened?" He asks as he shuffles up, trying to get away from you.
"You were struck by some debris, I transported us out in time-"
"If a building collapsed, it's not safe for you to be here, ma'am."
That's when you choked on the air you were breathing as you heard what he just said.
He forgot who you were.
He gets up in alert, as they were more to do to help the civilians during the catastrophe.
"Let me fly you out to safety and-"
"No, it's alright. My home's not too far from here and, I didn't get hurt." You said.
Superman looked unsure if he should leave you, but others needed his help.
"Please take care." He says before he flies away, leaving you.
Your chest tightens as you fall on your knees, trying to hold back a sob so he doesn't hear you cry.
So many things could be done to regain his memory. You could show him all these pictures and cheesy letters you wrote to each other. You could tell him that you know of his home planet. You could use your powers!
But you couldn't.
If a witch used their powers on a mortal's mind, it could dissolve all of their memories in just a single second. The damage would be unfixable. You can't imagine the pain Clark would go through if you did that to him, or either show him a reality that he may not with you.
So... you decided to erase your entire relationship. Clark and you were never open about your relationship to anyone. You were a very private person and Clark respected your wishes (He called his mom though and briefly told her that he thinks he found the one.)
Using his spare key at his apartment, you went inside and just took away everything that was associated to you.
The pictures in the frames, the coffee mug you bought him for his birthday, you took everything away.
It was painful for you, but it had to be done.
You were unsure how'd he react if he saw you at work, but he just assumed that you were just a writer at the Daily Planet that he hadn't met yet.
"Hi, I don't think we met. I'm Clark Kent." He said, offering you his hand to shake.
As you see his features, it was like you were staring back at another person. None of his shared memories he had appeared to him, and he didn't expect that you saw him as Superman that night.
You had to bite your tongue momentarily and smile, returning the same friendly nature.
"It's nice to meet you."
You thought you two would be closer and maybe you can form more memories with him. But you saw how he looked at Lois. She was fearless, driven, and the best journalist there was on your floor.
Was she a bit blunt? Yeah, but she was like that to everyone, so no one took offense as she was also really understanding. You couldn't be upset with her, not when she made Clark happy. It killed you every night, as you slept in your bed alone, wishing he was there to hold you. But you'd be selfish, stripping away a new life he made for himself.
So you stayed at an arm's length. But you made sure that he was ok... or rather you kept on checking on him to see if he remembered.
The days past on, and one problem was after another. Lex Luthor was desperate to get his hands on kryptonian technology and Clark wouldn't stand for it. So when Luther revived General Zod and created Doomsday, it was the hardest fight Clark had to face.
You saw the explosions from afar and saw the red caped hero trying defeat him, but it was no use. Even with Batman and the Amazonian Warrior, it was hard to keep him at bay.
They needed help, or else this would be a losing battle.
You transported nearby, waiting for the opportunity to attack. And that's when you saw it, the green kryptonite spear that they tried to kill Doomsday with.
The Amazonian Warrior tried to restrain it with her lasso and batman blew a kryptonian grenade at the beast.
And that's when you saw Clark, who looked almost beaten as Lois was trying to let him stay away. You knew what he was going to do... Clark was a selfless man. He flew away to protect Lois picking up the spear and headed towards Doomsday.
But suddenly, a power restrained him from going any farther. He tried to resist the force that was on him, but then he heard a voice.
"Stop, don't fight it."
He turns his head and saw you running towards him with a worried gaze.
Clark was confused at your presence.
"You shouldn't be here! You gotta get out of-"
"Clark." You stopped him as a tear rolled down your face.
You stepped forward, placing a hand on his cheek. Why did it feel so familiar to him?
"I lost you once, I'm not going to lose you again."
You took the staff away from his grasp and you levitated away from him as he tried to break from your spell. He thinks on your words, saying that you lost him. He winces as a spur of a memory flashes in his mind.
Clark looks up in fear.
"No, NO! STOP HER!" He yelled out to Bruce and Diana but it was no use.
You neared the ferocious beast with the lightning surrounding you both. You took your shot and traveled the spear through its chest using the strength you had.
It yells in pain and tries to get a hold of you, but you created different versions of yourself to confuse doomsday. But it became smarter and swatted its arms till it caught the real you. Doomsday then pierced you in your abdomen.
You were in unbelievable pain, but you had one more chance. You raised your hands to the spear, using one last spell to reach to the inner core of doomsday. Then suddenly, a burst of light goes up in the air, knocking you backwards away from the beast.
As you lost your focus, Clark was now free from your enchantment and flew over to you, holding you upward.
"Hey, hey, c'mon." he whispers to you as he tried to stop the bleeding.
"Did I- I stop it?" You stuttered.
He nods, trying to smile to stay strong as he could hear your heartbeat beating slower.
"Yes. You did it. You're going to be okay. I'll fly you up to the nearest hospital, they'll patch you up good as new."
"I think... we both know that's not possible." You fluttered your eyes, about to lose consciousness.
"No no no, stay with me. I - I... I remember now. I remembered every Sunday afternoon when we watch those bad rom coms and I hold you close to me. I remembered when we always bought each other flowers for no apparent reason. I remembered that I... I wanted to marry you."
You smiled back, giving a heartful chuckle before you began to cough. Clark held you a bit tighter in his chest.
"I would have loved to be yours again." You whispered.
"You were always mine... Imma fool to forget you." He said, tears pricking his eyes.
"I... forgive you, Clark. I just wanted you to be... happier." You closed your eyes again, but they never opened.
"Baby? Baby wake up." He tried placing his hand softly on your cheek but it was cold. He tried listening to a heartbeat but there was silence.
Clark broke into a blood curdling scream. He pleads to anyone to bring you back, to just open your eyes so he could see them once more.
And those around him saw the strongest man in the world break down as he lost someone who loved him.
Now, he was too late.

Thoughts on My Adventures with Superman S2 episode 5
Tumblr media
I love how Wholesome this Clark is, at 1st it looked like he wasn't really into attending the contest, but as soon as he heard that it was going to be Donating money to the children's hospital, he immediately made up his mind, Showing us once again Why this Show is Amazing, Because they Know how to HANDLE Superman
Tumblr media
Aaaaahhh!! We're Finally being introduced to Kara, Omg She looks Soooo good I can't wait to see how they handle her and her relationship with Clark, maybe we might actually get see the "Sibling" Dynamic I talked about not to long ago ^^; (also is it me or does kara look kinda familiar, I don't know she just looks someone I've seen before I just can't put my finger on it, hmmmmm 🤔 eh it's probably nothing )
Tumblr media
Annnd just like that Love at 1st sight, in all seriousnes I really love Jimmy's character and how he's handled throughout this show, It's clear that he does feel Guilty for What happened last episode, after all He was the one who gave Lex the "motivation" to do what he is doing So I understand that he does feel responsible in someway, plus he did bring Clark to Expo in the 1st place which led to Superman being framed when the Villains attacked, but C'mon, you Didn't know that would happen or that Lex would be there, or that you guy's would have a TED TALK discussing the "Dangers" of Superman, You have No reason to feel guilty or have any obligation to Fix this because it wasn't your Fault, just sit down and talk to your boy and for crying out loud Omg 😫
Also Clark using his X-ray vision to immediately see who was running is extremely funny to me for some reason idk why lol 😅
Tumblr media
Ok 2 things, 1 Lois throughout this episode was really infuriating to me, Lois's ego was really shining here I mean she really feels that there's Nothing Specail about her, and that it would be completely unlikely for a guy like Superman to ever be interested in a person like her, because "who would ever be interested in the reporter right" even though they made entire episode last season focusing on the LOL/ League of Lois Lanes and how Lois lane is DESTINED to be with Superman in every reality, so it really Grinds my gears when she starts getting jealous when she sees Superman acting single around other contestants/girls, and wants act all salty and question if they're even "right" for each other and that maybe he should be with someone who is more Special than her when in reality that's exactly WHY he fell for you in the 1st place, because you are Different and because you Makes him feel Normal, also you're the 1 that Told him to "act" single in the 1st place like Wtf!? Also I find it hilarious that Clark immediately waves as they're talking about who could Superman's identity be, like it's LITERALLY right in front of them 😂
Tumblr media
Judging by this scene it feels like she's never been on Earth before whatsoever, from her being to foriegn to stuff like what Ice cream and hot dogs are, to earlier with her wanting to immediately square up with a Truck, It's pretty clear that THIS Is her 1st time being on earth, leaving the question Now to where has she been all this time, and who is her father? Because as far as I'm aware I thought only her and Kal were last 2 kryptonians that made it off Krypton, So who could her "father" be? Well there's only 1 option, but I'll save that for a later scene ;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So as I was watching this I kept wondering on who the heck the other contestants were, as far as my knowledge of comic books go it's Not really that good, since I mainly grew up with cartoons and only read a few comics from time to time and Superman was the 1 thing that I Never really kept up with all that time, So forgive me I don't really know who most of the people are on here other than Hank Hanshaw AKA Cyborg Superman, if y'all happen to know feel free to lemme know in the comments or just Ask me in the submissions Thx ^^;
Tumblr media
Also can Clark Not come up with a good excuse to change into Superman, I mean how hard is it to say "I'm going to the bathroom, I'll be right back" also saying you're going somewhere and then immediately having Superman show up is completely Sus as hell, how has no one else figured out Who the heck he really is yet ?😅
Tumblr media
Ah the Jealous girlfriend face 🤣🤣 also the scene here with Hank talking about just how dangerous Superman is and how he is literally a weapon waiting to go off just shows how much Lex is affecting people and how he already has people thinking he's right; This is stuff that will Definitely be brought up in season 3, I can already see the "Earth is for Earthlings" Hashtags 😅also I don't know about you but to me there's definitely something suspicious about Silver from the way she's acting, idk but to me I'm thinking that maybe Silver may not be as sweet as we think she is, hmmmm 🧐
I love the callback from Last episode with her saying "everything" when Jimmy asks what she wanted to see, just like how he did when Clark asked him the same question, also between this and the Jimmy from the Supergirl TV show on CW, Jimmy really has a knack for pulling Strong powerful women, Nice ^_^
Tumblr media
I Really love how Devoted kara already is to Jimmy, the fact that she immediately was ready to go and completely DESTROY Whoever hurt Jimmy tells you just how much she Already cares about him just from being on this planet for like idk 3 hours maybe, bro really knows how to pull the Baddies, Ngl I ship them ^^
Tumblr media
She's LITERALLY the embodiment of this
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bruh Kara is really talking crazy here, to me this Not how kryptonians Speak, as far as I'm aware kryptonians are usually intelligent chill people with only a few of them being like soldiers, they're Not effing Conquerors, tbh this Version of them sounds more like Sayains than anything, Damn they're really going in on the whole Anime theme this season huh, which leads me to my Next topic; I think I Know who Kara's father supposedly is, here me out but what if it's Freaking ZOD, think about it, what if before she left krypton Zod kidnapped her as a baby and raised her to make her Think that she was his own, hence why she has this mindset and Why she's talking like this; after all Besides Kal only Zod and her would be last 2 kryptonians, So it's possible he could've raised her and molded her into the warrior/ conquer she is today Similar to him, and if you still don't believe me, then take a Good look at what She says here Next
Tumblr media
Ladies and Gentlemen, I rest my effing Case ^^ also OMG WTF IT WAS HER THE ENTIRE F#%KING TIME!? 🤯
Tumblr media
Ok 3 things: 1 she beat the Absolute Shit out of him my god she showed No mercy even to her Own cousin Wow, 2 the Animation for this fight scene in this episode was Wild omg I loved every minute of it, They have Not missed a Beat this season when it's come down to the Animation whatsoever, and finally 3 Her design for this Suit looks Just effing incredible, Omfg I love the Red and black color scheme they got going on here and the Symbol, aside from Bulky ass Shoulder pads, everything just looks So effing CLEAN, Man I can't wait to see the Fanart from this Suit; Also it's clear that Brainiac is controlling her somehow judging by how she keeps hesitating and the way her eyes go completely blank after She receives her orders, So there may be hope for her Just yet, but in the end I know that even IF she turns good, Earth is going to be Completely against her and Superman by the end of this Season, So yeah...
Tumblr media
Wow it looks like we Gotten yet another New superpower for this man, Ngl, I'm not a fan at all, the last one we got from him was his Bio electric aura which at 1st I wasn't a fan of but once I thought about It some more and did a bit more research on it, It really started to grow on me, Since it's how he's able to Defy the impossible, THIS however I am just Not feeling it, this does make any sense for him to have and Never even once in my life have I ever seen this man Shoot effing energy from his Mouth, like what is even the Point of this power and what is it used for like Bruh, Sry but this is Definitely ain't for me, and is Not going to grow on me anytime soon ^^;
Tumblr media
No Please Not the Injustice FINISHER, Omg DON'T DO HIM LIKE THAT!! 😱😱😱
Tumblr media
Wow this episode was just Balls to the Walls insane, between this and the Reveal that Brainiac was the one She was referring to as "father" i have No idea what else to expect from this Season, and this is Just making me completely unsure about what's gonna happen next for the future of this show, Omg this Series is so good, Can't wait for the next one #SupermanSaturdays

Alright, I know everyone and their cousins are all gaga over the Superboy reveal but
Let's talk about that new villain lineup!
Tumblr media
And more importantly, how a lot of them are Honest-to-God head scratchers. Well, I have my guesses. As usual, more rambling explaining why is below the cut.
Tumblr media
1) Like, Sir to Lex's immediate left, whomst the fuck are you?
You're too old to be an alternative of Clark, don't fit the previous design of Zor-el, still have both eyes unlike Jor-el...
Unless you are an Alternative Jor-el. Like the Fortress AI Jor-el. But even then, the outfit is slightly off since there's no Kryptonian armor (or symbol for that matter) and Jor-el would have no reason to be a threat to either of the Super Crew.
Speaking of AI, could be Eradicator as a more stable construct now that it's no longer one of Brainiac's protocols (echoing how it went from possessor to physical entity in the comics)...but I think someone else in this picture fits that bill.
Maybe it's Zod? But if so, Jesus are they making him look *exactly* like Jor-el, which DC has famously NEVER DONE. Since Zod is often seen as more of a brutish and ruthless character compared to Jor, he's often bulkier in build.
But then again, they've also built Kal's father like a truck in this adaptation so who knows, maybe that hair style was an official military mandate?
2) Speaking of hair, I see that curl on Lex's right.
HI HANK!
Looks like Lex found you after your plane exploded and fixed you up, huh!
Now you're well on your way to becoming Cyborg Superman officially and cementing yourself on the Permanent Superman Hater Squad!
3) Ah Lex! I see your luscious red-brown locks are finally gone. Wonder what caused it? Was it a bad outcome due to an experiment backfire, or are you sick from being around all that Kryptonite for those Metallos for weeks? You looked pretty run down last time we saw you. Maybe some new competition would bring some life back into your face.
Tumblr media
4) Maybe another super genius on your level will challenge you? Maybe someone like...
Ultra-humanite! (On the villain screen bottom right)
Yeah I know the popular take on U-H is the super smart white-furred Gorilla with a surgery scar, but that's just his final form. And I think they're gonna pull what they did with Ivo/Parasite with him by only showcasing his final form on the Villains screen (only it looks like they're not going full Gorilla if he still has a human head).
He started out as Superman's oldest archenemy, a mad scientist who was obsessed with getting rich, getting revenge and living forever, predating Lex by a long while! So it will be fun watching Lex bump heads with what is essentially his ancestor until Ultra morphs himself to something beyond human.
5) Speaking of beyond human, I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what to make of that creature to Ultra's right.
Is that Ivo/Parasite fully free and morphed into a rabid alien creature? Is that just a normal alien creature?! Is that Dubbilex?! Is it Krypto?!?! I have no Earthly idea!
6) Last but not least on me still being confused, on the bottom left where the League of Lois Lanes used to sit, you will noticed there's a whole new group of people there.
And you will also notice that 2 out of that group of 4 are wearing helmets disgusting their features, but the other 2 aren't.
One looks like Lois in a pageboy cap with a sun and the other looks like Kara.
But wait a minute, it's not our Kara bc she's in the showdown squad at the bottom with the other 3 and that one is still in K-armor with the shoulder pads.
Maybe this is a fully Eradicator-pilled Kara as Brainiac tried to create during the season finale or..
What if the League of Lois' return, this time with their own Kara, but this isn't quite the same take on Kara that we got in Season 2?
What if this is a form of Power Girl Kara?!?
Would make sense for Clark and Kara to have matching brain conflicts meeting Kon-El and Power Girl at the same time, wouldn't it?
Or maybe this is another certain League making their appearance, this time with an Action Lois™ in tow? Maybe this is a glimpse at a version of the Legion of Superheroes, who are initially perceived as a threat until it turns out they're just trying to help?
Possibilities abound!
Those are just my predictions.
I have no idea what to expect for this season or what Josie, Brandon, or Jake have cooked up for us
But I have absolute certainty it's going to be one hell of a ride, and they haven't disappointed us yet!
Can't wait for Season 3!!!

Chapter Twenty-Five: Cutting Class
Jason cut through the park on his way home for lunch, and he let himself in. Soft music played in throughout the apartment. "Honey, I'm home!" Jason announced. Laney sat on the floor next to Gus. Laney never even looked up. Jason sat across from him and touched his hand. "Baby, you okay?"
Laney nodded and hugged Jason. "Hi, Jay," Laney whispered, "Sorry if I'm being weird. I just woke up from a nap. I did your laundry and met your laundry buddy."
"Nana?" Jason asked. Laney nodded.
Jason leaned forward and kissed Laney's forehead. "Jason, I made paninis. It's in the oven... Two for you two for me." Jason smiled and put on a mitt to get the paninis out of the oven. He put them on a plate and sat back on the floor with Laney.
They ate quietly, and Laney chuckled. "Taste good?" Laney asked. Jason nodded and covered his mouth as he smiled. "Let me see you smile."
"Laney, my mouth was full," Jason smiled, "But thank you so much for lunch, Lane. Do you mind if my mom comes over for dinner?"
"Did you already invite her for tonight?" Laney asked.
"No, not for tonight. Sorry... I meant Saturday night," Jason explained, "Just the three of us. I was thinking we could go out to a little restaurant." Laney nodded and smiled as he ate.
"What does your mom think of me?" Laney asked.
Jason furrowed his brows and looked at Laney. "My mom sent me a text the other day asking if I was being nice to you," Jason leaned over and took a bite of Laney's sandwich. "She knows without you, I probably wouldn't have been so open to forgiving her."
Laney finished eating his sandwich and lay his head on Jason's shoulder. "Well, you know how my parents feel about you. My parents have all but planned our wedding," Laney answered, and Jason gave Laney a bite of his sandwich.
"If our families can survive Thanksgiving at my dad's, they can pick the date," Jason joked, "And then you, me, and our brothers are riding to Chris's game in a week or two." Laney kissed Jason on the cheek and put his plate in the sink. Jason finished his sandwich and washed his hands in the sink before answering emails on his phone.
"What's that?" Laney asked as he nudged Jason. Jason grinned and handed Laney his phone. "Get the fuck out of here!" Laney exclaimed as he jumped up and down before nearly tackling Jason in an embrace.
"It's only the first part like Bart, and I haven't even started printing yet, but I—." Laney kissed Jason and grabbed his face. Jason blushed and pressed his forehead into Laney's shoulder. "I can't remember what I was gonna say."
"Can I see the book?" Laney asked. Jason kissed Laney's neck. "Is that a yes?"
"No. I want you to see it as a hardcover," Jason replied, "I gotta go back to school in a minute, but I was thinking we could take a walk..." Laney nodded, and he got up and put his shoes on. Jason grabbed Laney's hand and his bag, and they walked around the park in circles. Jason swung Laney's hand as they walked ad thunder cracked in the background. Laney's face lit up as lightning struck, and Jason smiled at the feeling of Laney squeezing his hand. "It's gonna rain. It'd be a shame to miss such a nice storm—."
"Jason, you don't have—."
Lightning flashed as they kissed in front of the fountain. Laney walked around the border of the fountain, and Jason tugged at his hand. They walked deep into the center of the park, and as the rain began to fall, Jason whispered, "Remember during winter break when we were kids, and it rained in Metropolis? You told me that nothing was more exciting than watching lightning strike." It started to sprinkle on them.
"You also forgot to mention that we stayed up talking that entire night. You were the first boy I ever opened up to, and it felt good. Like I know you always get on me for not telling you how I feel about things, but you're the only person outside of my family that I'll even talk about my feelings with," Laney replied. Jason softened and looked at the sincerity in Laney's eyes. "I've been thinking about everything that happened lately, and I have some really bittersweet feelings on what I'm about to say—."
"You're breaking up with me, aren't—?"
"What the fuck? No! I wanted to ask you something. Please just listen before you jump to conclusions," Laney chuckled, "Sylvia is moving out, but she's not gonna move in with her girlfriend until I find a new roommate." Jason stopped in his tracks, and thunder roared, startling them both.
Even after the momentary fright wore off from the thunder, Jason stood frozen. "Are you asking me to move in with you?" Jason asked. Laney nodded.
"The nice thing is if you get tired of me, there's another bedroom. Then Gus is getting a little attached to you, and I know we've been together a little less than a month, and I've probably given you high blood pressure in this little bit of time... When I wake up and know you're there, I hear music," Laney whispered, and Jason chuckled. "No, I know it's corny, but I've only ever felt this way around you. I can give you your space when you need it. I can reorganize the spice rack, I can buy different laundry soap—." Jason kissed him.
"Shut up. I have to give thirty days' notice," Jason smiled, and lightning flashed. "Can we tell my mom at dinner?"
The rain poured down harder, and Laney shivered. "Yuh-huh. Now let's go get a coffee. I'm freezing," Laney whispered. Jason gave Laney's hand another little squeeze, and they were on their way.
Once they got their coffees, Jason and Laney walked back to Jason's apartment. "Laney," Jason stopped him after closing the door. "Your clothes are soaked." Laney chuckled and threw off his wet clothes. Jason did the same, and he went back to his room. "I'm gonna throw on some sweats. You want something?" Jason whispered. Laney nodded.
"The green sweatshirt in your drawer," Laney replied, and Jason went through his drawers and pulled on a pair of sweats. "And can we talk about how you take your coffee black?"
"That's how my dad always makes his coffee," Jason replied. Jason came out of his room with the sweater for Laney in one hand, and he carried his hamper in the other. After Laney put on Jason's sweater, they sat on the couch, and Laney took his coffee off the table. Jason lay his head on Laney's lap and turned the tv on. Laney ran his hand through Jason's hair, rustling his fingers through it gently.
Jason curled up and closed his eyes. "I used to hate thunderstorms... When we were up that whole night, we sat close to each other, and all I wanted was to hold your hand. Something about you makes me feel so small in a good way," Jason confessed. Laney smiled and leaned down to press a kiss on Jason's forehead.
Jason's phone rang. "It's Dick... Don't ask me how I know, I just do," Jason mumbled as he sat up and answered the phone. "Hey, Dick."
"You're not in class?" Dick asked. Jason answered with a noise. "Good, are you busy?"
Jason looked at Laney, and Laney shrugged. "I'm with Lane, but we're just watching tv. Why?" Jason asked.
"Oh, tell Lane that I said hi. I actually called to ask about him. How's everything going with you two?" Dick asked.
Jason muted himself. "Can I tell him the good news?" Jason asked. Laney nodded and kissed Jason's cheek.
"Wait, no, let me tell him. Put it on speaker," Laney whispered. Jason un-muted himself and put the phone on speaker.
"You there?" Dick asked.
"Yeah, sorry. Laney just wanted to ask me something... We actually have some good news—."
Dick let out a loud noise over the phone. "Jason, you gotta let me be your best man—." Laney laughed.
"No, we're moving in together. Well, Jason's moving into my place, but not until late next month," Laney announced. Jason smiled and kissed Laney's neck.
"Aww, congrats! Wait, what about your roommate?" Dick asked. "Jason said you had a roommate."
"That's the bittersweet part. Sylvia's moving in with her girlfriend, but not until Jason's officially ready to move in," Laney replied, "How are you?"
"Good, I'm gonna be in San Francisco for a few days, but I wanted to know if everything was good with everybody before I go," Dick replied.
Jason lay back down on Laney's lap. "Why are you going to California?" Jason asked as he closed his eyes.
"Scouting stuff, and I'm visiting some friends," Dick answered.
Laney gave Jason's head a playful scratch, and Jason let out a soft noise. "Did you just purr?" Laney whispered. Jason smiled and touched Laney's hand as an invitation to continue. "Sorry, he's going to sleep. We'll call you back," Laney whispered in his soft tone.
"Goodnight, Jason. Goodnight, Lane," Dick laughed, and he hung up.
"Baby, don't go to sleep," Laney whined. Jason mumbled something, and Laney leaned close to Jason to listen to his voice. "I can't hear you."
Jason opened one eye and mumbled, "Behind my ears again." Laney grinned and rubbed his thumbs in little circles behind Jason's ears. Laney went back to scratching Jason's scalp.
Jason hummed as Laney massaged his head, only stopping to play music on his phone. "I like this a whole lot," Jason whispered. Laney bent forward and pressed a bunch of little kisses to Jason's face. "What song is this?"
"I made this," Laney answered. Jason sat up and opened his eyes. "No, lay back down. It's not even done yet." Jason took Laney's phone and held it up to his ear. Jason sat on his knees on the couch, and Laney pulled him back down. "Come back down."
Jason gave Laney his phone back, and he climbed over Laney to get off the couch. Laney grabbed his waist, and Jason let out a laugh involuntarily. "I'm gonna go shower," Jason laughed, and Laney let go.
"I wanna come with you," Laney playfully whined.
"You can come and sit in there while I shower, but I shower alone," Jason offered. Laney chuckled and took his hand. "You're so cute. Come on."

"I've never been in a position where people look up to me."
This is such a silly statement, Jonathan is literally the person Clark looks up to the most. His bigger personality flaws clearly come from Jonathan's influence💀 (not to say he didn't also learn a lot of good traits from him -he absolutely did- but you know)
I'm really curious what Lex's (and Jonathan's) politics are actually, don't be shy writers tell me👀

I don't think twice about tagging characters like Jonathan because I don't expect fans to look through his tag for him specifically, but i know people do it with Lex and I feel bad at the thought of them having to scroll through me losing my mind over Clois with a few Lex mentions in between. Lex fans lemme know

I've started watching My Adventures With Superman recently, and I can't stop thinking about an AU where Clark and Danny bond over being not quite human.
I haven't decided if I want to de-age Danny so they meet as children first or if I want to age him up to meet the trio at the daily planet. I've got 2 ideas.
1) Clockwork de-ages Danny and dumps him on the Kent farm, having lured Danny into a false sense of security by promising to introduce him to an actual alien! He stays for a while, and the Kent's are such a nice family. They help each other learn more about their respective powers.
"I can fly," Clark says at the table one night. Ma and Pa stop mid bite to glance back and forth between Danny and Clark. There's a small smile on Danny's lips.
"Me too," he responds sheepishly.
"Are you an alien, too?" Clark asks shyly.
"Um, maybe? I'm actually not sure. I've never thought about that."
"You said your grandpa dropped you here, right? You said he promised to come back, maybe you could ask him?" Ma suggests carefully.
"I doubt he would tell me even if I did. He sure didn't explain anything when he shoved me through the portal here." The adults raised their brows in question. "I'm half human and was born on earth, but my other half is technically from another dimension called the Infinite Realms, and I'm not sure if interdimensional beings are considered aliens or not."
2) Danny walks into the Daily Planet one day, begging for anyone in the building to please hear him out. This is the last thing he can think of! The government is committing interdimensional genocide! Lois, having heard him pleading for someone to write a story about this, snatches him up for an interview. Danny gets frantic, desperate for these people, literally anyone outside of Amity Park at this point, to believe him. Danny gets frantic, and he doesn't mean to lose control of his powers, but Clark ends up having to use his super strength to calm him down anyway. Clark tries to console him.
"I know what it's like to be different."
"You couldn't possibly understand what my life is like!"
"No, I get it! I'm an alien that crash landed on earth as a baby. My parents even showed me the ship when my powers came in," Clark whispers. And Danny wishes he could be excited by the revelation, but all he says is,
"You have a job and loving parents who don't sit at the dinner table daydreaming about ripping you apart while a government agency circles your city like vultures just waiting to take a shot at you. I was born human, but I'm not anymore. I'm tired. Please tell me you can get this published."

My friend @theredheaded-stuff showed me this panel of Damian carrying this giant sword around and then I just came up with this whole scenario lol😂
Damian just walking into the Justice League base with Bruce, while carrying his giant sword around like in the picture above, just shocking everyone in there with it
Clark: Bruce???? You just let him carry that around with him?????
Bruce: Well, it's what he wanted, so I said it was fine with me
Hal: ARE YOU SERIOUS???? JUST LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT THING!! HOW DOES HE CARRY IT AROUND WITH SUCH TINY ARMS????!!!
Damian, points sword at hal: DON'T CALL MY ARMS TINY!!!
Barry: DON'T HURT HIM!!!!
Oliver: ....Now I can see why my son Connor was begging me to let him get a giant sword last week. Good thing I said no to him CAUSE THAT WOULD JUST BE CRAZY JUST LIKE YOU RIGHT NOW!
Bruce: Hey! Don't tell me how to raise my kids!
Oliver: WHERE DOES HE EVEN PUT THAT THING WHEN HE'S TIRED OF HOLDING IT OR WHILE DOING SOMETHING???? IN HIS BACK POCKET????!!!
Bruce: You know what? Yes he does, CAUSE I BUILTED ONE FOR HIM! AND IT'S CALLED THE BAT POCKET!! And maybe if you would get your son a giant sword too, than maybe he would feel just as cool as my son right now, because just using arrows to fight crime is nothing new and it's just boring!!!!
Oliver: Take that back right now
Diana, suddenly walking into the room: (GASP!) OH MY! WHAT IS HE HOLDING????
Bruce, with his arms crossed in annoyance: A sword. Are you gonna start giving me some judgey comments about my parenting skills too?
Diana: Absolutely not! I believe it is one of the best choices for being used as weapons!! Let me see! (Runs over to Damian to get a better look)
Diana, examining it: Oh, it is just very marvoules!
Damian: Thank you
Diana: You've made the right choice setting him up with such a wonderfully and beautifully crafted sword that would protect him very well in combat! It is even big enough to destroy dangerous beasts during battle as well!
Bruce: Why thank you (looks at the rest of the League with a smirk)
Everyone else: ????
(Both Damian and Diana bond over their love for swords after this)
Damian showing it to Jon during a fight on patrol in Metropolis:
Jon: OMG! What is that?!
Damian: It's a sword, Corncob (=_=)
Jon: Well, yeah, I can see that for sure, I'm just wondering about how are you even carrying it???? And where did you get it from???!
Damian: Simple! I'm just that strong enough to carry it! And it was gifted to me! Now watch this!
(swings sword at a random tree behind him, making it fall on top of an incoming giant Lexcorp robot as he turns around to face Jon with a confident proud smile)
Jon, jaw dropped: (GASP!).... I'VE GOTTA ASK MY DAD TO GET ME ONE TOO!!!!
Damian: You should
Later:
Bruce, calling Clark: Clark? My son said that he left his Twizzelr pack at your house during a sleepover
Clark: What? Which one?
Bruce: We'll, he only brought one with him. They were specificly the red cherry Twizzelr's that he had with him-
Clark: No, I mean which son?
Bruce: The older one
Clark: Dick?
Bruce: No
Clark: You don't mean Jason than, do you?
Bruce: Of course not, I'm talking about my smaller one
Clark: Damian????
Bruce: No! Tim! How could you not know???? He was having a sleepover with Conner yesterday, remember????
Clark: I-....Ugh, It's just that I'm having a hard time focussing today since Jon keeps begging me and Lois to get him a sword after seeing Damian with it and I keep telling him no
Bruce: Get it for him
Clark: Absolutely not! He could hurt himself with it
Bruce: You and your son are both invulnerable, Clark, so I think he'll be just fine
Clark: I'm not getting him a sword!
Meanwhile with Jon:
Jon, flopping onto his bed with annoyance, talking to Damian on his phone: Aughhh! Damian, you wont believe it! My Mom and Dad won't let me get a sword! They say it's too dangerous!
Damian: -tt- Nonsense! It is a perfectly fine weapon to use in combat as long as you have enough training with it!
Jon: I know! It would just be so cool if I could have one! But they think that I won't be able to actually use it properly! Hmph!
Damian: Well, that stinks
Jon: Totally!
Damian:
Jon:
Damian:
Jon: Is it okay if I could maybe try out yours-
Damian: No, you're not touching my sword
Jon: :(

“I sleep better if you’re around.” For the fluff <3
In the stark light of his kitchen, fresh from a post-patrol shower, Tim ponders himself.
Hmm. Ow.
Yeah. Just as he suspected. He prods a careful finger into his ribs—ow!—and hisses. That's what he gets for jumping between some asshole with a gun and the man's poor (hopefully, now, ex-) girlfriend...
He sighs. His careful self-examination before he showered didn't suggest that anything is broken; it's just gonna be a nasty bruise. Which is why he's here, standing in front of his fridge and pondering the freezer door. Or, more accurately, mustering up the strength to reach up, open the freezer, and reach inside for an ice pack, all of which is definitely gonna hurt like a bitch.
Okay. Nothing for it. He's used to pain. Tim takes a deep breath, steadies himself, and—
"What happened to your ribs?"
—leaps a foot clean into the air with a strangled "Eep!"
The pair of luminous blue eyes lurking in the shadows by his bedroom door blinks. Then Kon comes forward into the light, wearing an old T-shirt, boxers, and cat-shaped house slippers. His hair is adorably sleep-mussed, but his eyes are fixed on Tim's chest.
"Holy shit," Tim manages, heart racing. He braces himself against the island, adrenaline still thrumming through his veins. "You're worse than Bruce, dude! Where did you even come from?!"
Kon wrinkles his nose. "Your bed," he says. "What happened to you?"
Tim sighs, resisting the urge to pinch the bridge of his nose. "Took a bullet for a civilian. Usual stuff. It was just a handgun; I don't think anything's broken or anything, just forming up into one hell of a bruise. Why were you in my bed...? Were you waiting for me?"
Kon narrows his eyes for a moment, scanning Tim's chest. Then he relaxes, shuffling closer so that Tim can truly appreciate the majesty of his bedhead in the fluorescent kitchen lights. "Yeah, nothing's broken." He gives Tim a little smile. "And yeah, I mean, kinda. Ma's visiting Clark 'n' Lois this weekend, so the farmhouse is empty, so... I wanted to come see you."
A rush of warm, heady affection floods through Tim's chest. "...Yeah," he agrees, taking Kon's hand and intertwining their fingers. It's nice to be so clearly, unabashedly wanted sometimes. "I was just gonna grab an ice pack and let it sit on this for a few before bed, if you wanna sit with me...?"
Kon hums. He raises his free hand to his lips and lightly blows on it for a moment, then reaches for Tim; his palm is frigid against his ribs. Tim stiffens instinctively for an instant, then relaxes into his touch as the cold starts to numb the dull edges of the pain.
Man. Not to brag, but by dating his favorite Kryptonian, Tim really hit the jackpot.
"Who needs an ice pack when you have a clone boy?" Kon's eyes, sleepy as they may be, twinkle as he gives Tim a warm, dopey smile, clearly pleased with himself. If reaching up didn't sound so painful, Tim would be ruffling his hair right now.
As it is, Tim just smiles back and leans into him. His head falls against Kon's shoulder as the exhaustion of the night starts to creep up on him, and he sighs with contentment. "Not me."
"Not you," Kon agrees. He yawns, resting his cheek against Tim's hair. "...Sleepy. What time's it, anyways?"
"Around three." Tim slips his arm around his Kon's waist. "Wanna go back to bed?"
"Mmhmm." Kon hums. "I sleep better when you're around."
Warmth blooms in Tim's chest all over again. "Yeah," he says. "I know."

Enchanted, S. Rogers and C. Kent.
Tumblr media
Summary: In a world where Omega's were scant and decent alpha's even more so, you think you're one in a million to be in a relationship with Alpha's who not only take care of your every whims and need, but also love and respect you unconditionally. However, your marital bliss of two years is interrupted by the concept of ‘true mates’.
pairings: steve rogers x reader x clark kent.
warnings: cursing!! fluff only. may be horrible and tad repetitive, i'm trying my best though🥹 i just need to write more to get over a slump. (((more self indulgent than anything)))
*** — flashback.
Tumblr media
“You guys are fucked.” Bucky utters with certainty, directing a steely glare towards Steve. He had just ended a phone conversation with Natasha, during which, she reluctantly confided in him, about your apparent state of distress.
Granted, he was vehemently reprimanded and cursed up and down by his own wife; her threats still ringing true to his ears should it be proven that he had a hand in his friends' potential adultery— He, along with Steve were now made aware of your suspicions, and could recitify the situation according to what you think you know.
For the meanwhile, he repeatedly assured Natasha that it was all a huge misunderstanding, and if possible, help ease your misguided worries.
“She's getting skeptical, Steve. Sooner or later, you guys are gonna have to tell her the truth.” Bucky advices, though Steve appeared abnormally composed and stoic.
Dare he say, indifferent, opposite to his anxious and tensed demeanor. It was as if, it wasn't his marriage that was on the verge of collapsing, nor was he close to losing the love of his life. Bucky found his behavior increasingly strange, which did not help the predicament one bit.
Steve was like a predator gearing to pounce.
“You and Clark both need to calm down.” Steve finally looks up from his laptop screen, before reclining back on the leather seats with ease. “Nothing has happened. Nothing, will happen. My fealty is to my wife; my eyes have never strayed, not even once.”
“You know very well that's not what i meant.” Bucky sits opposite of him with a tired huff, the low hum of the jet filling the empty silence. “I'm pertaining to the whole Sharon and Lois fiasco. What with the lab results being back, and their claims being authentic.”
“It's merely numbers on paper, Bucky.” he scoffs.
“I'd like to agree with that. But you know the repercussions to your designation will be grave if you continue to ignore the pull.” He replies with an equally heavy tone.
“What do you want me to say, exactly?” There was an evident shift to his composure, blue eyes turning a stormy shade, telling of the rage simmering under his perfectly crafted façade. “I'd tell my wife that i'm leaving her, because my base insticts yearn for another?”
There was a tense silence between them, neither Alpha's willing to back down from their assessing stare.
“We're doing more tests.” Bucky says slowly, conceding. It was not his intention to ruin, dollface, as he and his wife fondly call you, and his bestfriend's marriage just because he cares for your well-being in general.
In some ways, it was considered a betrayal for both Steve and Clark to entertain the possibility that they've made a mistake. That perhaps, you weren't in fact their true mate, and they've essentially ruined your life for any man. Bucky only ever wanted to make things as easy and painless for you.
“I don't care if you bleed them dry, or carve their bones.” Steve utters with a firm baritone, “You know what i want to hear.” that this was all just a twisted joke.
“I understand.”
***
“Princess? "Steve calls out to you softly as he peers into the room where you had somberly buried yourself beneath the blankets and piles of pillows, curled up there in your satin and extremely pink nightgown like a dejected but undeniably adorable little princess.
You grumbled as tears started to form in your eyes and fell on the pillows. You tried your best to breathe in his and Clark's scent to calm your raging emotions, but you were powerless to stop the sob from spilling past your lips.
Why, why why. Why had nothing ever went the way you want them to? Why are you such a failure of an omega? Why can't you give them the perfect little family the three of you had always dreamed about?
Two pairs of footsteps make their way into the bed, and despite your head spinning with endless thoughts of self blame, you could feel the bed dip and arms and-and warmth enveloping you in both sides.
“Sweetheart..” Clark brushes his nose on your nape, chest rumbling with a purr in an effort to provide you comfort, as his most base instict twisted and turned at the mere sight of your tears, let alone your evident heartbreak.
“You want to talk about it, pretty girl?” Steve breathes out in a hushed tone. In a tender gesture of support, his fingers traced soothing cirles on your exposed skin.
You shake your head, or tried to, with your limited space, being crowded by their bulky frames on both sides. “I don't want to. I'm a disappointment.” your words were muffled, but the implication were relayed nevertheless which made both your alpha's tense.
“No one's disappointed with you, sweets.” Clark enunciated firmly. “It isn't your fault.”
“But it is.” you raise your head, hair sticking to the sides of your face, eyes reddening with tears.
“But it isn't.” Steve reitarates, cupping your face gently, feeling your warm cheeks and wiping your tears. “It will happen, when it needs to happen.”
“And all this pressure and stress that you put yourself through is never worth it. For anything, at all.” Clark stresses, pressing a kiss to your shoulder which made you shiver.
“B-but, i really really want it.” You stutter through a choked sob. “I want a baby, with your eyes.” you almost whine in a soft voice, staring at Steve's baby blues. “and one with your curls.” you tip your chin at Clark, lower lip wobbling as your vision cloud once more.
“And you want it too, right? that's why we've been doing it more.” your nose scrunches adorably while the men chuckles, both eagerly pressing a kiss to any part of your skin that they could reach. “You're laughing?” your eyes squint, taking offense.
“Oh, sweetheart.” Clark noses on your temple, in apology. “We don't make love to you simply because we want a baby.”
“We will never make love to you with that intention alone,” Steve nuzzles his face at your neck.
“You see, when a man, or in our case, men loves a woman—” you hit Clark's shoulder before he could further tease you, choking on a giggle.
“He fucks her.” Steve continues, while your mouth gapes. “because she's irresistible.”
“and gorgeous.” Clark adds on. “the sweetest girl in the entire universe.”
“and looks extremely delightful, writhing on our knots.” Steve trails kisses to your neck, starting off innocent at first, yet it soon turned into something much more intimate.
“any man wouldn't be able to resist.” you tilt your head back as clark nips at the other side of your neck. “and she will have everything she wants.” you could barely let out a startled squeal when you were flipped to your back, your lips pulled into a searing kiss.

odd duck! reader setting boundaries w lois like she did clark?
"Where's Y/N?" Clark asked looking around before kissing Lois hello.
"Charging," she said, smiling a little and nodding to where you were sitting on the end of the couch, curled up with a book and so thoroughly engrossed in it, you hadn't even realized Clark was there.
"She's not-"
"Like an adorable little roomba," Lois said, tickled.
"Good girl's day?" he asked, shaking his head.
"I found the most incredible new shoes," she said cheerfully. "And I think I managed to convince Y/N she needs more than one nice dress."
"You think?" he hummed.
Lois opened her mouth to answer and before she could, you look up from your book frowning slightly, "I'm not a computer and you're not my mom."
"Y/N I-"
Your frown deepened and you shook your head, irritated. You could ignore little jokes about being on a charging dock. You could ignore a lot of things- because most of the time people just don't realize how stuff sounds. "I should go," you tell them.
"Ma's been doing that to you for years," Clark said fairly.
"You're also not my dad. Jesus adopt a dog if you guys need something to parent," you tell him. "Enough. I don't want to talk about Bruce anymore. I don't want more dresses. I hate velvet and I'm not a robot. I'm just weird."
Lois winces when you pick up your bag and start to go, brushing past Clark to follow you. "Sweetie-"
"Not my name."
"Y/N," she said softly, catching your hand. "I'm sorry." She pulled you into a bone-crushing hug and squeezed. "I don't think you're a robot. And we shouldn't push you into things I just- After what happened a couple years ago-" She breaks off when you wince at the memory and lets you go when you pull away, squeezing your hand instead. "We just want you to be happy."
"But my happy isn't going to look like yours-"
Lois smiled a little and tucked your hair back in place, "I know. But- it's nice being reminded. Keeps me from getting too complacent. Come back and have dinner with us?" She squeezed your hand coaxingly, tugging playfully. "Clark misses movie night-"
"I don't think that's a good idea," you murmur. "I just want to go home."
"Alright," she said, a little crestfallen. "Text someone when you get home?"
"I will."
"Promise?"
"Yes."
And she nodded, watching you pop down the steps and hail a taxi, exhaling slowly. "Clark?"
"Just give her a day or two," he said, unbothered, "Maybe bribe her with some sour patch kids and some new pens." He kissed the top of her head and gave her a squeeze.
"And you're not mad at me for-"
"Listen," Clark said smiling a little, "You love her. You guys are friends. Friends get irritated at each other. It's not the end of the world."
"You just want to see my new shoes."
"And you in them. And nothing else," he agreed, grinning.

Superman x black reader! You get saved by Superman and accidentally call him by his name.
Tumblr media
Okay this isn't how you thought you'd spend your night out all you wanted to do was just spend the day at home baking cookies and binge watching your favorite TV series but no you were forced you go out on a date and now your hanging from the roof top trying not to die! Just great the only reason why you went on a date was because Y/B/N (your Best friend name) thought it'd be nice if you went out and have fun so they set you up with some dude from their job some guy named John don't get me wrong the guy wasn't an asshole but only thing he could do was just talk about himself and how perfect he was he was a total snob the only person you can think about spending a night dinner with was Clark Kent your best friend but no he has feelings for Lois freaking Lane! I mean you can understand she's pretty you can give her that but she is a reporter and he's the freaking Man of Steel like come on dude how's that even gonna work?! Okay maybe the main reason why you don't like her is because you were secretly jealous that she had Clark's attention I mean you've known him nearly your whole entire life she's known him for like a couple of weeks and boom he's all cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs for her! Ugh It must be the red hair the redheads always get all the attention. You snap out of your thoughts as you could hear the rooftop breaking apart.
"Wow looks like this is how I die, ha and I didn't even get to finish House of the Dragon!"
With that you lost your grip and was sent flying through the sky screaming your head off you had your eyes closed waiting for your death but than you'd felt someone holding you tightly.
"It's okay, your safe now ma'am." You open your eyes too see the man of steel himself holding you in his arms with a soft smile on his handsome face, hey maybe almost dying wasn't such a bad thing after all if you get to live like this hehe.
He lands on top of an apartment building he puts you down gently checking for any bruises.
"I'm glad I was able to get to you on time don't worry about the others I took care of the robbers." I let of a sigh of relief giving him a smile.
"Oh man what a relief...Thanks Clark." You stand on your tippy toes to give him a hug but you felt him tense up hmm guess he's not a hugger............wait oh shit you said 'Thanks Clark and not 'Thanks Superman' oh shit! Did you forget to mention that Clark had absolutely no idea that you knew about his powers yeah you accidentally caught him using his powers when you were to go visit him on the farm. We both just stood in silence starring at each other he was able to say something but I cut him off.
"Uh oh wow you caught me in such a perfect timing! Thanks for everything but I'm pretty sure you're busy and I mean super busy well I'll just uh be on my way thanks for everything Clark I mean Superman I mean!" You covered your face with embarrassment you were honestly just making things worst for yourself at this point.
"Y/N?"
I peek through my hands hiding my red face only to see him smiling like a big ass teeth and all smile.
"How long have you known?"
"Since I caught you lifting up your dad's old truck behind the farm.." he looked shocked.
"You've known that long and didn't say anything?!"
"How the hell was I supposed to tell you?! 'Hey Clark I saw you lifting up your dad's truck with one arm want to go fishing later?' Not a great way to start the day Clark Kent!" You say arms crossed he just lets out a laugh walking towards you grabbing you by the waist spinning you around causing you to let out a screech of alarm hands on his shoulders.
"Clark! Put me down!" He does but was still smiling arms around your waist.
"I'm sorry, 'm just happy that you know it makes it easy for me now."
"Huh? Easy for what?"
That's when he gave you a kiss on the forehead causing you to blush he pulled away looking down at you straight in the eye.
"Easy for me to tell you that I love you Y/n." He gives you a tight hug you let out a sign hiding your face in his shoulder smiling.
You'd have to definitely thank Y/B/N after this!
Meanwhile somewhere in metropolis Y/B/N was sitting down eating popcorn watching The House of Dragon until they sneezed
"Is someone talking shit?"
