So I'd gotten recommended this video by a YouTuber known as Huggbees. This video being about an old show that I'd completely forgotten about due to my brain being completely dominated by other shows such as 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Samurai Jack, Ed, Edd and Eddie, Courage the Cowardly Dog and many other kickass tv shows that we all know and love. This show he's talking about being none other than Loonatics Unleashed. I'm gonna be honest I'd completely forgotten about this show, for obvious reasons (TMNT, Animaniacs, other beloveds), but anyways I'm watching this review and I get introduced to two of the main cast. Tech Coyote, and Rev Runner and as soon as I heard Rev talk I'm instantly hit with the trademark feeling. Ya know that feeling. The one that goes-

"I've heard this voice before, I grew up with this voice and had at least several childhood crushes on fictional characters involving said voice."

So I continue to listen and then he starts talking faster cuz he's a roadrunner and I just catch a hint of familiarity in the tone. So here I am agonizing over who this guy is that's playing this character and then my brain clicks it. I go rushing to Google and type in 'Voice actor for Rev Runner' to be sure that my assumption was on the mark.

Well-

I was right. And this is making me question a lot about myself. Mainly that my childhood favorites/infatuations/crushes are so well known to me that I can recognize Rob Paulson's voice almost immediately depending on the tone. I'm both proud of myself as well as ashamed of myself I need to get a hobby shshshshsgsgsh.

So... you remember me talking about maybe getting a snake the other day? Well, guess who just arrived home.

He's a wee bootstring right now and the photo doesn't really do him justice because he's always on the move but he's an Anerythristic corn snake (confirmed male) and the first thing he did when the owner put him in my hand was nom my finger very gently. I was so tempted to get the Palmetto BUT didn't know they had a genetic default known as bug-eyed. 😔 Very gorgeous snake and the owner showed me the father but in the end, my heart chose the anery (or rather, his mouth chose me!) Not quite the ball python I was intending to get but since it's been so long since I've had a snake, I'll hold onto this wee danger noodle for now to make sure I can take care of him! Managed a quick journey home but now he's sitting inside a nice warm cave, chilling. When he's settled in a bit, I'm going to spoil the fuck out of him with some little plants and so on but for now I'll let him destress. Haven't picked a name yet but... maybe Rorschach? Because he'll grow up to become black and white. :D

You ever just kinda try and integrate yourself into a space, esp a roleplay centric discord, try and make friends and be nice, and "be yourself". The place preaches good vibes

But every slight thing you say feels like it's put under a microscope??

Your entire character is scrutinized because they had some poor experiences in the past, despite them not even knowing how you write your character or roleplay, let alone having ANY connection with the offenders in question?

Your entire personality feels like it's gonna be put on a chopping block because you don't agree with everything they say

You feel every little thing you say or do is going to be met with judgement, ridicule or disgusting comments in the background because you're not "part of the inner circle"?

This is why I don't really interact with the roleplay community. Because it feels like in many spaces I do go? I'll get treated like I don't belong despite me trying to interact with folks.

If I don't get judged for the character I play, I feel judged because I don't typically agree with a lot of the things a majority of my "community" says. Because a lot of the shit I hear on the daily comes from judgmental people who have absolutely NO reason to throw stones while living in glass houses.

Maybe I'm overreacting, or maybe my anxiety, or god help me, my other mental issues, is making me feel this way. I could be overreacting for all I know because of my past issues.

All I know is in one or two spaces I occupy I try and be social in, I just feel nothing but the worst parts of the community trying to ice me out of it.

Sometimes I get notes on a post or something, but when I go to look at it, it's as if it isn't there. The number goes up and everything, but I can't see who liked the post or whatever was done. If this was my other blog, I'd assume it was a note on that one post that I used XKit to block notifications for since it was clogging my feed. I can still see a notification, but I can't see the actual note itself. I sometimes see the time slot when this happens, though.

I don't have any posts that I've done that with on this blog, though, so I have no idea what the cause of it is. I have a couple of guesses, but that's about it:

Though admittedly, I don't really know who pays that much attention to that; I feel like a lot of people here don't pay attention to a lot of the things I try to say that don't relate directly to the fandom, most notably my pinned post with relevant BYF links and a DNI statement writ in bold letters...

So yes, sometimes I'll get what I refer to as "ghost notes", and I wonder about them. It's a little stressful, due to the probable reasons I cannot see them that I mentioned.

Personally for me, I don't really try to speculate or ship characters that are under 18. Usagi x Dragona is an exception, although it's because the confirmation is quite strong and the age difference is rather small.

But yeah, I'm fine with hearing other people's headcanons on this otherwise! Paco can be bi. Dragona can be bi. Usagi is probably bi assuming that love confession is genuine. If Knife Guy is also 18+, he's bi too!

I'm just gonna leave Jodio alone for now. He's only attracted to the mechanism.

The Stranger didn't really catch attention (hilarious but not great for an adopt lol), I have The Vast in the works (lost it for a lil while but found the file :D). A LU x reader concept, but like tragic childhood sweethearts kind of deal. But the Link in question doesn't realize that the reader has been in love with him for so long.

It's a love that starts off as a childhood friendship and fascination with one another. And as the reader gets older alongside their version of Link, they slowly begin to realize that what they're feeling is more than just friendship. That it's involved into something so much more than that. Yet the reader doesn't say anything, not knowing how to address such feelings to their beloved friend. Much less when it's unclear if he feels the same and he shows no signs of making a move romantically.

And then he meets that special girl. And the reader can do nothing but silently watch in heartbreak as their friend falls in love with this person. Deciding to love Link from afar and support him no matter what. Even when it's tearing the reader apart, because they love him, even when he's got his sights on his dream girl.

Basically a tragic romance kind of thing. Idk I think it'd be interesting to explore this kind of route.
