Re:Kinder Fun Facts of the day☺️!!! Have you ever wondered who talks the most from the main cast in Re:Kinder?? Well, I did😊. Today I'll be answering this question with some graphs and as a bonus telling you what words each character uses the most! I will warn you, this will be a bit long and I don't know how to be less verbose so, yeah!!!

First, I've made some basic rules as to what I counted regarding how much the characters speak. Not all lines really count as speaking, after all.

Any of the incoherent screaming lines don't count. There's a lot of screaming since the characters die a lot (as expected for a horror RPG game), but I don't really count that as speaking unless they're saying proper words. In that same vein, I didn't really count any of the panting or sniffing and such that are conveyed through words. Again, I don't really see that as a character actively speaking their thoughts!

If I cannot tell who a line belongs to, I will not give it to anyone. This happens for certain lines, so I felt this rule was important.

I won't be counting repetitions of the same line if it's on a variation of the same scene. This may sound a bit strange, but when a character dies, the game goes on to the same next scene it would regardless (unless the scene that follows it is an ending), with variations and new lines here and there to account for the dead character, but a lot will be reused and placed in the exact same beats it normally would have been in originally. So, this rule is here for that. Oh, and also the scenes with bits of Yuuichi's backstory that appear in Shunsuke's head won't be counted twice, because some appear twice line by line.

Of course, the "..." lines won't count. I am so sorry Aya!!!!😞

Now that the ground rules have been set, there's just one thing I want to mention. Though I will count all the total lines for Takumi and Yuuichi like any other character, I just want to mention that first I will have two separate counts for them! Takumi | Takumiel and Yuuichi | Yuuichi's Heart respectively.

Takumiel is separate because I was curious about how much Takumi spoke as an archangel compared to when he was alive. Yuuichi's Heart is because he speaks so much he feels notable enough to be given his own division, even if he and Yuuichi at the end of the day are one person

(I count the silly mind telepathy where Shunsuke is being directly spoken to [and being told things normal Yuu would avoid saying at that point] and the comical theater as Yuuichi's Heart. I clarify in case one assumes he only starts being counted the moment he's directly labelled as Yuuichi's Heart. Any line that can't be distinguished between Yuuichi's Heart and Yuuichi will be given to Yuuichi by default.)

With nothing else to be clarified let's get to the numbers!!!😊😊

First, the line counts with Takumiel and Yuuichi's Heart counted individually!! Here are the rankings:

You may be thinking— woah, does Shunsuke really speak that much?! You could say that, for a good chunk of those lines are from how he describes interactable points around the map and his inner thoughts, so they aren't all exactly said out loud. The benefit of being the protagonist, I suppose ww

Funny enough, Yuuichi's Heart has almost as many lines as Yuuichi does for not having that much time in the game, being on the higher end between the characters that don't get the benefit of being a protagonist (lol)!

Admittedly I had expected for Rei and Hiroto to have a more similar amount of lines given their nearly equal amount of presence, but for what it is Rei surpassed Hiroto by 51 lines! I also had expected for Takumiel to speak a little bit more than Takumi but turns out the opposite is true.

While the lack of lines of Takumi and Takumiel are to be expected due to their short time on the game, what stands out is Aya not even reaching triple digits between her other peers who are in there for most of the game. This is because a good chunk of Aya's lines in game are silence!^^" And thus weren't counted. If ellipses were a word, she surely would have reached triple digits, but unfortunately they're not.

Now the line count with combined sums of Takumi | Takumiel and Yuuichi | Yuuichi's Heart!!!

In here, the ranking isn't affected, with Yuuichi remaining second place and Takumi being last place. But the disparity of everyone's numbers compared to Takumi's feels a bit more clear to see when Takumiel isn't individually counted.

With Yuuichi's line counts combined, Shunsuke remains 318 lines ahead of him, but it also means Yuuichi has a 59% the amount of Shunsuke's lines; and impressive feat for someone who doesn't get the benefit of being the point of view for everything you press... Although he does also have an upper hand over everyone by essentially being the plot of this game ww

But maybe line counts do not suffice to tell how much a character speaks. Yes, Shunsuke has a bunch of lines from everything he interacts with, but is it really reliable to say he speaks all that much in all those lines? A good chunk of those could easily have 3 words each! So with this in mind, let's do a word count.

Even in a word count, Shunsuke has the lead, having a lead of 2,247 words over second place. But we'll see about that when we combine Yuuichi's numbers. Anyway, here's the ranking!

This time, Yuuichi's Heart is the one at second place!!! It's pretty funny that he speaks more than his physical counterpart ww. I genuinely didnt think he'd out yap himself that way when I chose to count for him individually 😭!!! He has a lead of 63 words over himself, but a lead nonetheless.

In here, Rei and Hiroto are more even than in the line counts, with the difference seeming more minimal when put into words. But it also showcases that despite Rei having more lines than Yuuichi's Heart in the line count, those only get to have a bit over half of the amount of words he talks (To be fair he does get to infodump a lot in his section of the game).

And here's the combined word count!!! Suddenly Shunsuke's lead is only by a mere 55 words! So Yuuichi speaks about as much as he does with 318 less lines.

I must admit that I genuinely did not expect it to be that close. When I chose to count the lines for when you interact with things for Shunsuke, I thought he was granted to speak an absurd amount more than anyone else. But turns out that Yuuichi speaks about the same amount out loud when most of Shunsuke's are his own thoughts ww. But it does make sense! He is still the plot of this game.

So, after all those charts, here's the average/middle point of lines and words for characters to have, because why not, it's fun.

Average Line Count (YH and Takumiel counted individually): 197 lines

Average Line Count (When combined): 247 lines

Average Word Count (YH and Takumiel counted individually): 1,333 words

Average Word Count (When combined): 1,666 words

So there it is. That's how much the characters in Re:Kinder speak!

But wait!!! I am not done. I will share with you an additional fun fact... Did you ever want to know what word each of these characters said the most?! This one will be quicker, I do promise.

When it came to counting these words I did not count stop words, that being common words that are used all the time by everyone in English. "I, you, me, the, to, a, my, your, yes, no"... Words like that! Otherwise everyone would have one of those as their most said word and it'd be rather boring to look at. With that said, here are the words these characters say the most!

Shunsuke: Yuuichi - said 40 times! (this genuinely confused me so much im sorry he uses interjections so much I had expected it to be something like "huh" or "um" but no i dont know how this passed by me as i was rounding up all the lines he says or proofreading or writing all of those lines WHAT?!?! its been two days and it still takes me out)

Ryou: Shunsuke - Said 14 times

Sayaka: Murderer - Said 7 times (All in one sentence!)

Takumi | Takumiel (counted in one for how little he speaks.): Takumiel - Said 3 times (That name is so important, he said it thrice.)

Rei: Hell, gonna, look, Yuuchi - said 8 times (Most of the repeated words she says are stop words for she doesn't tend to speak about the same things repeatedly.)

jilyrat in a fic setting: jilytail isn't actually that far-fetched honestly, i can see james experimenting with his sexuality with peter, and peter likes it but james doesn't because hes straight, but he doesnt say anything bad about it. and so peter mistakes james for liking it and just.. hangs around when james and lily start dating. and lily kind of accepts it because she excuses a lot of things when it comes to james. and the war starts and lily thinks it's a good idea to have another pureblood such as peter on her side and they kind of.. make it work? 😭😭😭 and it sounds awkward but peter has alot of hobbies and silly side quests and hes kind to lily and lily lowkey falls for him 😭😭 but then james sees this and he gets jealous and breaks it off with him. lily gets upset with him and james is like ykw whatever and goes to hang out with sirius while leaving lily and harry at home. lily's lonely, so she stays in contact with peter until the prophecy thing happens. then it's actually lily's idea to have peter as the secret keeper because she trusts him. james agrees because well um hes dumb, and hes blinded by nostalgia and he lowkey feels bad. and we alll know how it ends. overall a big fat 8/10 😭😭🥀 i could see this happening. they are dysfunctional asf afterall.

BUT also femme-fatale peter really hits too i dont know how to write femme-fatale tropes im sorry 😭

sirigonagall in a crack fic setting: sirius graduates hogwarts and hes sleeping around alott and once, he spots mcgonagall at the bar with dumbledore of all people. and she looks terribly broody and sirius is like WHATEVER and goes for it, he throws a pickup line at her, and as expected, she frowns at him, thinking hes drunk. but surprise surprise, hes not actually drunk. so they sit down and have a long talk, it starts out incredibly dull because minnie has decorum. but then sirius starts talking about his mother and mcgonagall, whos a little drunk now, starts talking about how sirius' father and her had a fling in the past. and sirius is like WHATT and decides he Gets it. he asks her for more information about it. she says no obviously and shes scandelised, so she leaves. but sirius is curious now, and he wants to spite his dad. so he goes digging around his father's office and finds letters orion had written in the past about mcgonagall. and hes left feeling so debilitated because wtf??? and so, like a mad man, he sends one of them anonymously to her. he doesnt hear back for a week and just when he thinks she's given up, she shows up at his door, fuming. she asks what hes playing at and how dare he go through the letters. sirius is a little surprised, but his dad's been dead for about a year now, so he doesnt really see the problem. then mcgonagall asks sirius reluctantly if orion wrote anymore letters to her and sirius nods and shows her a drawer filled with them. and mcgonagall gets sad and they talk about it. and then sirius starts to see her as a genuine friend and they hang around sometimes in their animagus forms. sirius soon starts to spiral when he realises that yeah, shes supposed to be a mother figure to him but shes also attractive and nice and fun to hang around with and witty and- oh No. like, genuinely attractive. well, hes always had mommy issues. walburga would roll in her grave. then sooner or later, sirius gets guilty of feeling this way, so he kind of asks her out to get rejected and move on and to no one's surprise, she looks at him like hes grown an extra head. she declines and sirius- sirius is actually sad. he'd liked hanging out with her but the guilt is too much so he avoids her. then minnie realises that oh this guy was actually being fr and not trolling so they eventually get together. overall a solid 7.5/10

is the moment severus vows hes going to make that old man rail him senseless. how Dare he curl his lip at him. severus is going to give that man a heart attack and steal his money.

first, he has to be an annoyance of course. he starts by stealing one of abraxas' peacock. everyone knows how emotionally attached abraxas is towards his peacocks, so obviously, he comes to take his peacock back. but then he sees spinner's end and hes like bitch u live like this? abraxas demands severus gives him his peacock back and severus is like how did u get in my house. tobias throws a chair at him. abraxas dodges it and screams because his own peacock attacks him. how Dare? so now abraxas tries to use magic to get his peacock back but it keeps escaping. tobias is yelling, so severus throws a silencing charm at him and tells abraxas that if he wants his peacock back, he'd need to pay. and abraxas is like u filthy halfblood and severus just raises his eyebrow.

the last time a poor halfblood had the gall to steal from him, refuse to give back what he stole, and had a terrible caregiver, and didn't care if he got called a filthy halfblood, he became lord voldemort, so abraxas takes severus' threat seriously and pays him. but the problem is that the peacock actually really ends up liking severus and won't follow abraxas back. abraxas gets really pissed off and just kidnaps severus with him to malfoy manor. the stupid peacock keeps following severus around and abraxas is ridiculously jealous.

severus starts making hair potions with the peacock's feathers and he gifts it to abraxas and it turns his hair pink for a whole week. HA lucius is in hysterics and severus is triumphant. abraxas really really wants to kick severus out but his peacock won't be happy. :( and then a few months pass with severus commissioning potions for lucius' clients and severus wants to travel for a bit. so he packs his bags and leaves to australia for a bit after saying goodbye to his peacock. the house seems empty without severus to abraxas. he has his peacock back, but even it misses severus. abraxas then remembers that hes rich and can do anything so he apparates to australia to keep annoying severus. severus sees him and he's like how does this guy keep finding me. abraxas ends up following sev to his hotel room and he's like what is this?? this is where you sleep?? and sev is like hmm if you don't like it maybe you should buy me a house here or something and abraxas, being a mad man, actually buys him a house. severus tells him hes insane. abraxas kisses him. severus gets sugar babied to death and lucius is on the verge of Suicide. the end.

Since we're talking about whump!Gi-hun here — I just gotta say it: if that man even survives Season 3 by some miracle, he'd be the perfect candidate for addiction. Not because he's weak. But because it's impossible to keep living inside a brain that's turned into a war zone. To shut out the screaming of the people he couldn’t save. To find — just for a few hours — something that feels like peace. Or hell, just silence.

I can see exactly how it starts. With regular pills. The “harmless” kind doctors hand out like candy — something to help you sleep better, take the edge off, numb the aching in your chest and joints. At first, it works. You sleep a little. Cry a little less. Stop shaking so much when you wake up in the morning.

Then one night hits harder than the others. You take two pills instead of one. Then four. Because the silence in your head is getting shorter, and the guilt’s getting louder. Because you're still here — and the people you loved aren't. Not Sang-woo. Not Sae-byeok. Not your mom. Not hope.

You tell yourself, "Just a little more. Tomorrow it’ll be better." But it doesn’t get better. So you up the dose again. Because at some point, you stop being a person and start being a machine trying not to fall apart.

Give it a couple weeks — the pills stop working. Booze? Too soft. Too slow. It doesn’t pull you out — just slows down the crash.

So you go for the hard stuff.

Like:

Tramadol — 'cause you “just need a painkiller” at first, and then boom — there’s that first warm high. Xanax — just to survive the damn evening without your chest caving in. Or hell, heroin, when nothing else hits anymore and all you want is someone to turn off the noise inside your skull.

Because sometimes addiction isn't about pleasure. It’s about survival when you don’t want to survive anymore.

And Gi-hun — the guy who clawed his way out of hell just to come back to a world that forgot him — he’s exactly the kind of person who ends up choosing: pain or oblivion. Until he can’t even remember what choosing used to feel like.

Am I Overreacting, overanalyzing? its always really fun to make lyrics connect with different characters. and you said u dont need to go into it but i will talk a lil about it. hehe. of course, anyas was really easy to choose, her speaking towards curly in his position, and polle speaking to jimmy of course. but trying to figure out the split between what jimmy and curlys lines. they share a very close mentality, curlys sense of responsibility vs jimmys desire to blame others. my original pass of text colors was way different and i had to tone down the sheer amount of color switching that was going on LOL. less is more!

i think anya holding her hands up towards her face is a really great touch put into her character acting. really good nervous tick to touch her neck/chin/cover her mouth. im glad it was something included in game. its fun to draw and can be really loaded.

curly and his two finger comfort thing was something i always imagined he did. the feeling of anya is in a really bad spot, but jimmy is his priority bc he knows damage control is important in the moment, but not wanting to leave anya with nothing but he has to go Right Now hell be Right Back Dont Move. his heads running a mile a minute.

dont have much to say about jimmys bit there, just wanted to capture his like. pathetic desperation as he figured out his solution. raaah

Im sure other people have pointed this out already, but some of the jokes in the first episode of the remaster are really shocking when viewed with the twist in mind. Ill cite a few examples:

"Much better... And YOU'RE next!" - Knife to Mephone (Threatening to throw him off the cliff) -> This is actually so funny KNIFE YOU WERE JUST BORN. Lowkey reminds me of the vote to throw mephone into the volcano in season 3.

"I mean like... I can KILL all of us if that's better?" - Bomb -> YKW IGNORING THE CONTESTANTS HERE FOR A MOMENT, MEPHONE?!?!?!? WHY IS THERE SO MUCH VIOLENCE AND DEATH IN THE FIRST EPISODE. GOD?!?!?!

I think its SO interesting how everyone is so violent and mean in season 1. Just... unashamedly. Its such a good reflection of Mephone's view on the world and his experiences. I mean, if we assume he was physically hurt at Meeple-- which I think the text hints at-- then this shows how normalized the behavior IS to Mephone. Knife straight up punches him first thing and he doesn't even look surprised-- Nor does he retaliate. Sure, he says 'I've committed to this bit' and allat, but when Knife threatens him again he just puts up his hands and nervously relents. Like oh my god.

it makes me frown so deeply-- dont get me wrong, i liked the episode, i LOVE season 1's violence, but viewing it with the twist in mind is so tragic because it exposes so much about Mephone. God. What a bug. Theres something very wrong with that phone and it's already showing. -2G

Nil

Nil would probably never willingly "adopt" you, let alone any underclassman. Not only does he think they're annoying, but he has no desire to hold someone's hand while they navigate high school, of all things. He sees you struggling, maybe you got yourself lost in the halls and can't find the bathrooms, and gives you passive-aggressive directions before stomping off. They're the wrong directions, and they probably lead you somewhere dumb like the men's locker rooms.

Or maybe he doesn't give you directions at all. It's more likely he'd say "I don't know" if asked and move on with his day, leaving you to figure it out yourself. Either way, you have to run into each other eventually.

If anything, you probably just wouldn't leave him alone and essentially "adopted" yourself into the friend group. He was skipping whenever you turned up, and you just happened to be heading to the gym bleachers where he coincidentally tended to camp out during boring classes. He ushered you to leave multiple times, but simply ignored your presence in hopes you'd get bored and leave. You did not. You stuck around for another hour before he had to physically shoo you away. I feel like having someone constantly trailing behind them would lead to an actual, physical fight, but since you're younger by at least a little (and he doesn't need another referral), he can grant you the tiniest bit of grace. He does threaten to do to you what he did to Roark Romano's windows last summer, though.

Regardless of his rocky reputation, you still wouldn't let up. He assumed it was because you were insanely desperate and had no friends. He probably bumps into Dimitri and his friends at some point in the day while you're trailing a few convenient feet behind him, and it inevitably gets you roped into their friend group.

No matter how welcoming his friends are— and no matter how close you grow with them— you'll likely always gravitate more towards Nil, even if he pushes you away every single time (both literally and figuratively). You're invited to band rehearsals, camping trips, day trips, and walks around the town after school. And every single time, Nil will groan and complain. The only time he can stand you is if you're going out to get food. It temporarily pacifies that annoyance.

With time, his frustration and annoyance fade. He still thinks you're annoying and oddly clingy, always wanting to follow along whenever he heads out into the woods or off to the convenience store, but it isn't totally terrible having you around. He lets you tag along every time, but doesn't make much conversation. The only thing he seems somewhat open to and agreeable to is fishing together. He'd probably tell you to go away if you asked him to teach you, but would then proceed to narrate his every move and, on the rare occasion, send you home with a fish or two. Maybe you're able to bond over being really weird or something.

School-wise, he isn't really the best. He's a bit of a slacker and only ever puts in the bare minimum to avoid getting called to court for truancy or even expulsion. Truthfully, the school doesn't care that much, either. You can try to come to him for test answers and help with your homework, but he'll likely tell you to "Piss off." He can, however, stand a study date at your house with decent music. He gets sidetracked every now and then and isn't really that much help. After an abnormally long time, you finally get one assignment out of the way with five others sitting off to the side.

He'd almost see you as a younger sibling, in a way. He has no desire for siblings, but you might as well be one. He subtly teaches you about the best places to skip in school, how to pitch a tent if you can't for any reason, fishing basics, how to tell nettle from simple ferns and other flora, etc... A lot of his advice is forest/survival based, since he can only give so much revolving around academics.

He's kind of glad you're actually younger than him- something having to do with not having to stress over you leaving, similar to his situation with Dimitri, I guess (idk how else to put it).

Not crazy about physical affection. At all. He gives you a harsh glare if you even brush shoulders. If you're really in need of a hug or something, the best he can do is an awkward, heavy-handed pat on the back and a "There, there" in his gruff voice to hopefully alleviate the situation. Once you're on friendlier terms, he'll muss up your hair and offer to go do something as a distraction in hopes it makes you feel just a bit better.

Nil, despite being pretty stone-faced and aggravated most of the time, does get slightly emotional during his graduation. Slightly. He jokes that he's so grateful he won't have to put up with you anymore and how relieved he is you won't be pestering him for test answers and help on your homework, but surprisingly, that's exactly what makes him feel so off, in a bad way. He'll wish you luck, saying you'll need it because you're so dumb, and suggests you stick around during summer break, just to hang out.

Dimitri

Dimitri, being a pretty well-rounded, easygoing, and generally pleasant to be around kid, makes an effort to get to know most people he's seated next to in his classes. He's pretty approachable- he's so lax all the time and kind of just looks sleepy/high from afar, and he's not half as intimidating as Nil. Striking up a conversation seems to come easy for him, though it's probably because of all the weed in his system.

You're likely given assigned seats and end up sharing a (longer than average ones ykyk) table. He's quick to introduce himself and ask casual questions about you, making friendly small talk until given further instructions by the teacher. Maybe he hears that you're trying to adjust to the school, finding classes, figuring out what to do, etc... and offers to essentially be your "guide" for a day.

He shows you around after school, helping you pinpoint and get familiar with the locations of each of your classes and the hallways they're in, recommends you join a fun sport and pick up an instrument or two, and says you should stay in touch. Also probably gives you a ride home if you ask.

I think he has a lot of freshmen that he unintentionally "adopted", since he likes to help people whenever possible and makes friends pretty easily.

Has an alarming amount of confidence in you, and is totally assured that you could be valedictorian if you kept it up, as in getting and maintaining decent grades. He even offers to tutor you if you're struggling. Dimitri has the patience of a saint, so he doesn't get too frustrated after you attempt to solve the same problem for the fifth time. Also decent at explaining and grasping difficult material, and can teach it pretty well (and with eloquence).

He's a huge pothead but subtly discourages you from dabbling in drugs. He won't share, especially not if you're much younger than he is. Being a "mom friend", he worries for his friends' health, yours included. He discourages you from getting hooked on energy drinks or pulling all-nighters, and even gives you lighthearted "scoldings" if it gets bad enough.

Does his best to maybe snag you a spot at his job, if it's something you express interest in or struggle with, and is more than happy to train you.

If you're good with the guitar, he encourages you to fill in for his spot when he leaves for university. He's supportive and says he thinks you'd make a good fit, even if you may be a little inexperienced compared to him.

Every now and then, he and his friends wander around the town, looking for neat thrift finds. Sometimes they drive out to the woods to listen to music and mess around until it gets dark. Of course, you're invited to join. It's a little awkward, being probably the youngest in the group (and possibly by a lot), but they really don't care, and are at most a little more mindful of what they say/do/smoke around you.

You're like his 757475252263rd younger sibling. He definitely treats you like one, often delivering playful punches, insults, and giving you decent advice whenever you seek it out. He's pretty caring and mature, so besides being a little annoying and nagging, he occasionally checks up on you to see how you're doing (like genuinely) and asks about what you want to do in the future. Says you should go into engineering so you can be super cool smart engineers together.

He's taller than just about everybody (probably idk), so he's probably taller than you. Your shoulder or head makes frequent armrests and he thinks you give Nil some competition for "shortest in the group". ( i actually hate this sm)

I can't think of another first interaction other than him wanting to make friends or just help a new, confused soul out. He looks pretty polite and friendly, despite wearing a face mask, and offers help with navigating the fairly small school, with any homework, and with pinpointing which teachers will give you a hard time throughout the school year.

Gives great advice- don't eat the school food, turn your work in on time, make lots and lots of friends, if you can, join a band, and, if you can't, form one- he's fairly knowledgeable and happy to help.

Has everything extra. Always takes an extra snack if he sees you aren't eating lunch, keeps extra school supplies aside in case you or anyone else is in need, and even goes as far as snagging a couple of feminine hygiene items for any female friends of his (which may or may not include you idk).

If you're that scared or anxious when it comes to branching out and joining a club or sport, he'll offer to join with you (or at least accompany you to the first couple of meetings/practices), even if he isn't crazy about other clubs or many sports.

Journey, being so polite, always invites you to their band rehearsals. He's very assuring, letting you know that his friends are mostly normal and very chill, and that you'd fit right in. He also wants to show off his drums yeah

Sort of a "tradition": after every difficult exam/quiz/final, you go out for non-alcoholic drinks or snack runs at a local cafe/convenience store. And, of course, he offers to pay each time. He doesn't have to, but he says he'd like to. Don't let him.

Journey doesn't encourage you to partake in the same drugs as him just because he's a senior and therefore knows everything. He doesn't. He's still a dumb teen, after all. He probably advises you just stay away from all drugs ever at all, as if he's some kind of walking D.A.R.E PSA, but if you really, really want to try, he'll allow you to. He won't be your supplier after that, though.

Kind of (?) down for just about anything. He doesn't really care about the activity, since he can find fun in everything with his friends (daww). Friendship really is magic to him. Doesn't mind if you want to go shopping, shoplifting, loiter somewhere you shouldn't, go skateboarding, etc etc- he's down for most everything. He also doesn't care much for "being cool" (Kimya Dawson ref), so if you wanna be a public disturbance for whatever reason, he's down.

Similarly, he's a skater boy, so he's, once again, more than happy to teach you what he knows about skateboarding and offers to if you ever show even an ounce of interest. He may not always wear all of his protective gear, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. So, he has you showing up to the skatepark in a fat helmet, kneepads, elbow pads, and fingerless gloves (just to fit in). You look a little silly, but you're left unscathed, and that's all that matters— to him, at least.

He's actually fairly diligent and does what he needs to do to get good or at least passing grades, so he can most definitely help out with homework and give out answers to upcoming tests. He prefers you learn together so that you actually understand the material, but he understands you may be in a time crunch and just need to get it done fast.

Not the most physically affectionate, but if you initiate a hug, he's not going to refuse. He's good at comforting and reassuring people during hard times, and almost always knows what to say to make the situation feel a little lighter while also still being sincere, which can be difficult for lots.

He's pretty passive and tends to keep to himself, but I imagine he knows when/how to stand up for both himself and you. Surely, he'd rather just talk things out and move on with life, though.

Momo

Momo doesn't really "adopt", per se; she just kind of picks you up and decides you're her friend from then on, and if you need help, she'll be there to offer questionable advice.

She probably didn't even realize you two shared a class or two (or three) until a group project was assigned. It was the only class she didn't share with any of her friends, and you were, unsurprisingly, the only one without a group, left sitting alone at your desk, simply waiting for someone to group up with. So, she took it upon herself to do you a favor and swooped in to snag you as her project partner. She did not carry her weight at all. Kind of just blew it off until last minute and put in the bare minimum effort the night before.

Regardless of how the project itself turned out, at some point, she decides you're practically best friends, so she continues visiting you, simply pulling up a chair to your desk and talking your ear off whenever the teacher will let her. In any other classes you happen to share, she waves you over to abandon your assigned seat and come sit by her and her other friends, where she gives you the loudest introduction possible and describes you as "wimpy" at least once as she aggressively elbows you.

Treats you like a younger sibling (similar to just about everyone else)— as in getting on your ass for the small, silly things and turning a blind eye to the downright illegal ones. She doesn't care much for stealing from big corporations- promotes it, even- and does it right in front of you frequently. However, she does laugh and tease you for singing the wrong lyrics to a song with confidence.

Like Nil, she's not very good or helpful when it comes to schoolwork. She hardly does it, actually, so how would she know how to help? She's happy to try and learn the material with you, but it normally ends in her getting sidetracked and finding something else to distract her. She's more there for "emotional support", as she puts it, and cheers you on from the sidelines as you study (or attempt to).

She can, however, sneak into your teacher's classroom and dig around for the answer key, or maybe do a bunch of snooping online and find them on some sketchy website. She'll even buy them from someone, if she has to. In her mind, not needing to study = less stress = more time to hang out.

Hears you out on every crush you may have, even if they look like the rat from Flushed Away. She'll absolutely point it out, but at least she'll listen first. Also offers mediocre at best relationship advice. Her best advice is to not get into one at all because "they're cringe" and you'll get cooties.

Not too big on physical affection, for it isn't really her main "love language". She does, however, enjoy messing with you, and frequently tousles your hair with playful noogies and aggressive pats. Proper hugs are rare; she normally slings an arm around your shoulder if she thinks you need a half-hug in the moment, or starts fake beating you up out of nowhere. To her, that's the equivalent of a big hug.

She is very talkative and frequently brings Journey and/or her other friends by to gossip a little. Similarly, she doesn't take "mistreatment" of you well, and has likely gotten into countless (verbal) fights and debates over it.

Shows up at YOUR house uninvited and just stands at the door until you notice her and let her in. Either that or she yells for you, bangs on the door multiple times, and does not stop until it opens. Does all that and then runs off when you open the door (like a poor attempt at a ding-dong-ditch)/lets herself in and raids your pantry.

This last chapter did a really good job highlighting that the riff between Miss Reader and Gojo isnt a little superficial thing that a hug and kiss can fix. She hid his first and only child from him for 5 years thats a big deal and it’s understandable that they still have issues with each other. As much as I love the yearning it would be unrealistic to expect Gojo to get over that kind of thing is a couple weeks.

I also liked how Gojo stood his ground when it came to parenting Koji, while I understand MR perspective, Gojo is well within his right to spoil his own son if he wants and its odd how MR keeps talking like “I dont want him to get used to this” almost like shes expecting Gojo to leave one day or for her to run away again, if i was Gojo i would be like:
