Whats frustrating to me is that gen z is enjoying the fruits of incredibly hard-won progressivism in this country while simultaneously being fed conservative ideals which tell them to look around, you don't have to grow up, you don't have to confront yourself and think critically about the world. And they have spent their formative adult years having their cake and eating it too. I just hope they understand how much that conservatism will betray them. I hope that all those young ladies who want to be tradwives and all those young men who believe in a nonsensical alpha hierarchy are eventually able grow up a little bit.

We did a chunk of the scenes in house for the Animaniacs episode "A Brief History of History" and these were some of the ones I was assigned! These scenes were a bit rough to get through because we had a lot of rounds of revisions, and back then I wasn't really happy with my work. In hindsight, they're alright, so I figure I'd share them for all their flaws.

thinking about feixiao and moze again and tearing up ... what do you mean "he reminds me of how i was in the borisin war camps". what do you mean both of them struggled with being too weak to protect their loved ones. both of them grew up being silenced. neither of them knew how to speak well when they were rescued. both of them turned down a peaceful life for a chance at revenge. both of them have wing/feather motifs.

do you ever think about how the abundance prolonged moze's life and shortened feixiao's -- and yet they both drew on its power for the same reason? do you ever think about how moze believed the disciples saved him but actually felt like they were his enemies? and how feixiao is the exact opposite, an enemy that feels like a savior?

maybe feixiao also finds solace in being moze's "enemy". she knows he'll never succeed in assassinating her. she knows she has to die by lan's arrow, just like general yueyu did before her. and yet the fact that moze keeps trying to kill feixiao anyway is, in itself, a source of hope. because it means that someone believes her fate is still uncertain, no matter how misguided that belief is. it means someone still cares about her rather than her destiny.

i can't imagine that either of them had envisioned this dynamic when they originally met, but it fits them. they can be close while knowing that one of them is trying to kill the other. after all, yaoqing trio is exceptionally good at realizing that two things can be true at once

house and wilson are two sides of the same coin. in the way that house is cruel but secretly cares. in the way that wilson is sweet but secretly selfish and mean.

they will never really see eye to eye but they’re fine with it because they’re together. the only time that they might eventually come together is under pressure (house’s dad’s funeral, wilson’s cancer are the ones i’m thinking about). under the heat and it melts the both of them and they can see each other in a way. melted and formed anew.

dows this make sense asking for a friend… i love the whole two sides of the same coin thing for ships but no one ever considers about how one side can never see the the other side of the coin. love it amazing i think it fits them
