A funny little idea for post war monoma is that like he just,,, forgets to blink due to using erasure for so long. it happens a lot when he's really focused or stressed out, and people have to remind him to blink occasionally.

Good time to be thinking about Sasha rn. Nothing in particular just. Just the oddness of her position within the Saarilinna Guard. 

She’s older than the Guard itself, even if we trace it back to its origins in the city guard that was established when Saarilinna was first established as a major city of Narova. High ranking military command is aware of this, they know Sasha is more experienced than any of them would even want to hope to be, because nobody in their right mind would willingly spend over a century in military-adjacent service. 

And they treat her accordingly. Behind closed doors she’s the Guards de facto senior non-commissioned officer, still given that same respect in front of those that don’t know about her, despite her young appearance and the fact that officially, for the rest of the military that doesn’t have that security clearance, she’ll never make it past master sergeant before her records are wiped clean and she starts over again as a corporal. 

And she has no problems with this arrangement. If anything she loves it, as when shit hits the fan, she’s still able to be in a position where she can actually use her experience and knowledge to help her country, and by extension her family, but outside of that? She’s able to put it aside, hang out with the lower enlisted for the most part until she starts getting more ‘official’ duties as she goes back up the ranks. Pretend she’s just some 25 year old from Saarilinnaa that enlisted out of patriotism and for something to do with her life. Get to know her own people, her soldiers, without the pressure of command or any other bureaucratic bullshit. It’s good for her, and she couldn’t imagine doing anything else if she was being honest with herself.
