Lewis Carroll is an amazing guy. My parents once accidentally bought me this giant book of his stuff. I say accidentally because I no longer remember if it was a deliberate purchase (especially considering the size of the damn thing). It has like all of his poems, all his books, all his word puzzles, etc. It's massive. So I don't ever bust it out often. But it's a neat little thing to have around and available. Should probably buy a smaller bonus copy of Alice in Wonderland too someday, though.
Anyways! Lewis Carroll was not his name. His name was Charles Dodgson. He was mathematician and a poet. He wrote word play puzzles and even invented the form of puzzle known as the word ladder or doublets. He was a priest too, I believe. Most of his life was spent in and/or around one of the high class british universities. He was a bit aristocratic and conservative in his personal life (that part a brief wikipedia skim led me to believe), but he was also a gifted man with words and stories. I mean...if you read Alice in Wonderland, I don't know if you'd immediately assume a mathematician wrote it. But he did. And he wrote more like it.
He's an interesting author. I like children's stories. I especially like humorous stories and fantasy stories. He blended all three. He's a genius of the old classical era. And while this post was inspired by my anger at DC not paying his wonderland books their proper due, I mostly just ended up trying to show how Lewis Carroll is nothing like the character based off his books in these comics.

French poison and potion are doublets: they both stem from Latin pōtiōnem (drink). Poison was inherited from spoken Latin. It underwent the sound changes that turned Latin into French. Potion was borrowed from written Latin in the second millennium. The infographic shows fifteen French doublets.
How can you tell the difference between French words inherited from Latin and words borrowed from it? On my Patreon I discuss three features (800+ words).

Thistles - Brief poems by William Soutar
William Soutar (28 April 1898 – 15 October 1943) was born on South Inch Terrace in Perth, a seaport on the Firth of Tay on the east coast of Scotland. He was the son of John Soutar, a master joiner whose work was highly commended, and his wife, Margaret Smith, the daughter of a Perth police sergeant. Sable doublet
Believe it or not i finally dared to convert full outfits!! i got extremely carried away with the swatches so i really hope you guys get to have fun with it <3 its my most ambitious cc release to date
If Dragon Age conversions are something youd like to see more of stay tuned!!
Before downloading: the files labelled as "base" only include two swatches to match how the outfit looks in game, making them significantly lighter than the other files. Only download this file if you want just those two swatches
If you are downloading the files with all the 64 recolored swatches, you can avoid the base files because they'd be essentially useless
The M/F labels show if they're for masc or fem frame, you can download both of those with no issue! And the belt file simply recolors the belt and it works universally with all files
INFO
BGC
Two files, one per frame
64 swatches for the outfit (only 2 if you download the base files) and 95 (also optional) swatches for the belt
Belt can be found under gloves and it's exclusively compatible with this outfit
Converted from Dragon Age: The Veilguard

This gold and white doublet with matching slashed breeches was worn by Tony Curran as King James I in the 2024 miniseries 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒚 & 𝑮𝒆𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒆. But that's not where it originated! It was spotted in a crowd scene in the 2016 𝑨𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔, and was also worn by Mark Rylance as Henry Condell in the 2011 film 𝑨𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒚𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒔. Doublet & Breeches
c.1625-1635
England
This ensemble of plain wool serge, probably once black, now faded to brown, is a rare example of everyday men’s dress of the early 17th century. It is lined for warmth with a linen pile fabric, similar to modern towelling. The doublet openings are faced with shot silk, perhaps to deceive a casual observer that the whole garment was lined with a more luxurious fabric. The cut of the ensemble may represent the rather old-fashioned tastes of someone from a rural area or an older man. By 1625 slashed or paned sleeves were coming into fashion and a longer, slimmer cut of breeches replacing the full style seen here.
