DYNASTY FINALE THOUGHTS
OMGGGG I JUST FINISHED THE FINALE OF DYNASTY AND-
I actually didn't think I'd be kinda emo???
It's so interesting to look back on what kind of shows pull me in. Dynasty was not a show I ever expected to be pulled into. I didn't even know it was based off of the original series in 1981 until they announced the 2017 series. But let's be real, anything that has Liz Gillies in it is worth it right? Anyway, my thoughts on the finale as follows:
• Fallon preparing for her baby in typical Fallon fashion
• I WAS RIGHT STEVEN CAME BACK AAAHAAAAAAAAA HE CAME BACK TO US
• SO HE WAS GRAHAM THE WHOLE FUCKING TIME OMG
• When Steven was literally about to murk Adam
• THE BOYS ARE FIGHTING
• I liked that Steven didn't actually k-word Adam though- I think it showed that was a key aspect of his character and I liked it- because to me it makes me think how much of a better man Steven is than Adam
• Even though they're the Carrington brothers, they both have their differences
• Sam being sad about Culhane leaving- but purposely causing the interviews to bomb lol
• STEVEN THEN REVEALING HIMSELF TO SAM I CRY ADKFHJKGLKHL
• ADAM TELLING FALLON IN THE CAR ABOUT THE BOOK omg no I was so scared for him but LOVE that Fallon said what she said to him and wasn't mad after all
• STEVEN THEN SHOWING UP AND REVEALING HIMSELF TO FALLON AGAIN I'M EMO MY EMOTIONS AND THEN THEY SANG TOGETHER ONE LAST TIME HOW DARE THEY-
• Aww Sam and Culhane: "I'm gonna miss you big bro" "you too, little bro"
• FALLON NAMING THE BABY Lauren Morell Carrington- "And Ridley"
• STEVEN COMING BACK AND THE REST OF THE FAMILY'S REACTIONS!!! EEEEEEE
• SAM MARRYING MICHAEL AND NINA AHHHHHHHH
• FALLON RENAMING THE COMPANY TO CARRINGTON UNITED!!! THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
• Blake telling Fallon he loves her and he's just so proud of his daughter OH THE FULL CIRCLE MOMENT
• SAM AND STEVEN TOGETHER AGAIN EUEHEHUE
• AND KIRBY AND AMANDA HAVING A HAPPY ENDGAME HOLY SHIT I'M SO HAPPY THEY ACTUALLY GOT A DECENT RESOLUTION THEY HAD ME WORRIED FOR A BIT BUT OMG THE WLWS WIN TODAY!!!!
• ENDING THE SHOW WITH A FAMILY PICTURE!!!! OH GOD WE'RE DONE THIS IS REALLY THE END
• "Smile, and pretend you love each other" "Everyone say Carrington"
• The only thing I did not like about this finale was what the heck they did with Adam- so is HE in London again??? As GEORGE??? HE BETTER STAY THE F AWAY FROM KIRBY AND AMANDA that's all I have to say
• Like, I get why he wasn't in the final picture at the end, but like it seemed weird to me that nobody wondered what happened but he was the "black sheep" I guess you could argue, and we know Fallon knew it was Adam with what happened to Steven... idk
• But I think Sam and Steven and Kirby and Amanda cancels that out for me honestly HAHA
• I'M STILL REELING CW FINALLY GAVE US WLW AND MLM WINS??? This makes me soooo happy. And how meaningful/significant it is.
ANYWAY. Now comes the hard part. It is time yet again to say goodbye to another CW show I got invested in. Like I mentioned, previously, I had no idea what this show was until I sort of just decided to jump into it. And I'm so grateful I decided to give Dynasty a chance. I'll miss waiting for every Friday to come around, to see what the Carringtons are up to now. But this finale wrapped things up pretty decently in my opinion. So lastly, I would like to say thank you. To everyone involved in making this show. Thank you, and goodbye, Dynasty.

Now that the dust has settled, I'd like to state that the series finale for Dynasty was a total letdown.
Talk about hatchet job!!! What was that???? Adam just "left"? And Steven was the new majordomo with a mask (I enjoyed James McKay's return, I can't lie. I just wish it was handled better.)??? Liam faced zero consequences for plagiarism? Jeff released his IP on the net... Fallon breezed around in office couture and I can't even remember what happened with Blake, Crystal, Sammy and the rest??? Alexis and Dex had a happily ever after after a plane crash scare...?
Four and a half great seasons only for them to do a rush job and throw it all in the meat grinder. A cliffhanger would have been better. I don't blame the actors, they work with what they have. I blame the network execs. And maybe the writer's room.

Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova
❈ “We swung on the swing; boy, did I laugh when I fell off so splendidly!” ◦ “I took this picture of myself looking at the mirror. It was very hard as my hands were trembling.” ◦ “Goodbye. Don’t forget me.” • Anastasia (various sources)
❈ “My favorite goddaughter was she indeed! I liked her fearlessness. She was a fearful tomboy. And what a bundle of mischief!” • Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna
❈ “Anastasia Nicolaevna was the originator of all mischief, and was as witty and amusing as she was lazy at her lessons. She was quick and observant, with a keen sense of humour, and was the only one of the sisters who never knew the meaning of shyness. Even as a baby she had entertained grave old men, who were her neighbors at table, with her astonishing remarks.” • Baroness Sophie Buxhoeveden
❈ “Her French accent was excellent, and she acted scenes from comedy with remarkable talent. ... Ingenuousness and utter simplicity were the most characteristic qualities of Anastasia Nicolaievna. She was the imp of the whole house, and the glummest faces would always brighten in her presence, for it was impossible to resist her jokes and nonsense. [S]he was aflame with life and animation.” • Pierre Gilliard
❈ “The youngest Grand Duchess might have been composed of quicksilver, instead of flesh and blood; she was most amusing, and she was a very clever mimic. She saw the humorous side of everything, and she was very fond of acting.” • Lili Dehn
