I have the headcanon that Romeo is VERY emotional and often cries with silly things like "I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL GIRLFRIEND" and starts crying. Like this. Like a child.

Where are the twins really from? And what else lies underneath Mount Rageous?
My friend @jules0511 had the awesome idea of it being like Coruscant of Star Wars. And that’s exactly where i was going with this idea!
I got inspired when i saw the concept art of Floyd of fhe lower less glammy parts of Rageous seen on slide 4. This is where the twins were normally going to be from.
The lower parts of Ragoues have a “cyber dystopian” vibe to it while the upoer part is totally different. The only one to know about the lower parts of Rageous and the twins backstory is Floyd. The other Trolls have no clue whats going on under the glitz and glam.
Ragoues is ruled by an unfair group of individuals who rule according to class. Unfortunately, the lower parts of Rageous dont recieve much aid if any.
(Some of the photos i found on Pinterest to help imagine the vibe i am aiming for, for the lower parts of Rageous)

“You got me a stocking?” - “Of course, you’re family.” For either Reggie & Ray or an AU where the Molina family adopts Reggie, please!
For my fourth and final version of this prompt, I decided to go full sci-fi dystopian AU because of course I did.
"Reassignment assessment, Reginald Peters, written portion." The computer said as he sat down at the terminal. He'd just finished the physical scan, and from the way some of the squares had coloured orange, it wasn't going great. Probably his weight and blood work, if he had to guess.
"Um, I can't... I can't write," he told the terminal. "Or read." Immediately, the keyboard disappeared, and a little speaker appeared next to the questions, with a microphone icon replacing the keyboard. He took a deep breath, and started the questionnaire.
After his dad had been caught stealing, he'd pretty much flushed away any credits their family unit had down the drain. Mom had managed to save herself by taking a blood alcohol test, proving she hadn't partaken in any of the stolen goods (though Reggie was pretty sure that was just dumb luck). She had managed to stay in her job in the kitchens, reassigned to the bunks there, instead of being sent to the jail like Dad.
But the lack of credits did mean there was no way she could keep Reggie on. And Reggie had been going to work with Dad, cleaning, since he was seven, so he couldn't be reassigned to the Kitchen bunks.
But all the credits he earned were transferred straight into the family account to pay for food and rent, so it wasn't like he had any credits of his own to rent out a room somewhere. Carl had kept him on until he was transferred to Reassessment, let him take over Dad's route as well as his own, so he'd managed to earn enough to keep himself fed while he stayed in the Cleaning bunks.
But now he had to prove he was worth keeping on permanently. Or get lucky enough that one of the better paying departments would take on a scrawny thirteen year old who couldn't read or write and wasn't deemed bright enough to get a scholarship for school when he was little.
He spoke as clearly as he could, knowing the voice-to-text AI wasn't perfect. He laid out his work history, his references (which was really only Carl). There were some weird questions at the end as well. Like his favourite colour, and his favourite class. Probably because he was a minor. He tried to keep the bitter upset tone out of his voice in case it messed with the AI when he answered. "I don't know." And: "I don't go to school."
The last question, the one about what he wanted for his future, he wasn't exactly sure how to answer. "I hope to stay on and work my way up at the Cleaning Department, or perhaps get transferred to the Kitchens," he said.
Except when he let go of the mic button to submit his answer, a flashing yellow warning came on the screen. Apparently the facial recognition had flagged the answer as dishonest, would he like to try again?
He tried again. And again. Finally, frustrated, he said: "I want to earn enough credits to be able to afford my own rooms, in whatever Department that will take me, and maybe even get enough to be able to afford a dog, or a hamster." He'd never told anyone about that dream, but it was at least flagged as truthful, and before he could edit or resubmit his answer, the test declared he was finished, and to please move on to the next room to wait for reassignment.
It was the first time he'd been alone, had his own rooms, since his dad was caught. Reggie reveled in the quiet, taking the standard issue meal from the Fabricator at set times, and catching up on some much needed sleep. After a few days, though, he got a little antsy, so when he computer terminal finally beeped that he'd been reassigned, he was thrilled. He quickly washed his face, tidying the bed and getting dressed, stepping out ready to meet Carl, or maybe even the head of the Kitchens.
Except it wasn't Carl. It was a family. A mom, a dad, a girl about his age, and a little boy. They looked like the kind of family that had enough credits to send their kids to school without scholarship credits, wearing non-standard-issue clothes and cool shoes and even jewelry.
Before he could tell them they probably had the wrong room, and that the orphanage was down the hall, the woman said: "Reginald? It's so nice to meet you!"
So it wasn't a mistake. Reggie stayed quiet as they lead him away from the Reassignment wing, up to levels and past parks where he'd only dreamed of being promoted to clean, until they arrived at their unit. Inside was big, but it still looked cozy, like a real home. The walls all had non-standard colours, there was art displayed, the furniture was non-standard issue.
"Come on, let me show you your room," the little boy, Carlos said, dragging him along. "You still have to pick your own colours and stuff, it'll be fun!"
So he got his own room. That he got to decorate. And he got to pick out non-standard-issue clothes, and they enrolled him in school, and every day Reggie was waiting for the Molinas to realise they'd made a mistake, to send him back to Reassignment, but it never came. Not even when he bombed his first pop quiz for his Writing class (the p and q were hard, okay?), or when he accidentally burned dinner helping Rose cook.
Three weeks in and they still hadn't sent him back. When he came home from school, thrilled to report that he'd actually passed a test for once (math was way easier than letters), the apartment looked... different. There were twinkly lights all around, and the furniture had been rearranged to make room for a tree, and oh. Christmas.
"Hey, mijo," Rose said, smiling from where she was hanging a garland up below the screen of the TV. It was playing a video of a fireplace, which just made the whole room feel even cozier. "How was school?"
He shyly showed her his Pad, with the bright red 100% at the top of the page on his math test. "I got my math test back," he said. He glowed with pride and maybe something else when she caught him in a hug, telling him how proud she was. She even insisted on wasting using credits to print out a copy to hang on the fridge.
"Do you want to help me decorate a little before you start your homework?" she asked. He usually waited until Ray was home, because Ray always looked over his letters and helped him sound out the really long words for his reading. He was really nice about it, too, and never got frustrated when Reggie made a mistake.
"Okay," he agreed happily, helping de-tangle even more lights, and hang pretty baubles in the tree. Ray came home from his shift, smiling and jumping right into helping decorate.
Together, they finished up the tree, except for the star. That would be put on when Julie and Carlos got home. They were in school longer than Reggie, because Rose and Ray hadn't wanted to overwhelm him. He had Writing and Reading and Math, and because Rose insisted school should be fun as well, once a week he also got to go to Music. They’d let him pick whatever he wanted, from art to sports to flight school.
Finally, Ray made him stand back and decide how high the stockings would go. He could read the names on them now. Rose and Ray both had fuzzy-looking stockings with a faux fur trim on it. Julie's was purple, of course, and shimmered in the light. Carlos' had a fabric that changed colours when you ran your finger over it, so you could draw little doodles on it.
And then Rose handed Ray the last one. It was red (he had a favourite colour now), and it looked very soft. And on it, in shimmering letters, it read Reggie.
"You got me a stocking?" he asked, startled, eyes flitting over the name again and again, just in case he misread. R-E-G-G-I-E. Reggie.
"Of course," Ray said. "You're family."
Maybe it was time to stop waiting for the other shoe to drop, Reggie thought, even as his face crumbled. Rose pulled him into a hug, Ray wrapping both his arms around him. Maybe this could be home.

hey kotlc fandom
concept that came to my sleepless brain
gender reveal parties but for Elves's abilities
feels like it is an excellent opportunity for the absurdity of actual gender reveal parties
AND to really play up dystopian themes IN kotlc, basically having a party that's essentially "hey here's everything you'll be seen as for the rest of your life bby ily enjoy it while it lasts"
gimme an a! gimme an n! gimme a g! gimme an s! gimme a t! what does that spell? ANGST.
i can totally see parents just not telling their kid that they're gonna have this public reveal
because we know at least every 1 in 4 parents in KotLC are not good, wether absent, neglecting, doing literal experiments on your child since before they were born, or a combination!
plus? rich people have insane gender reveal parties
which for the elvin society WHICH CAN BE VERY LAVISH AND ECCENTRIC PROBABLY
basically yeah these would exist
tldr parents throw their kids involuntary ability reveal parties and cause housewide angst

okay okay okay so this idea formed in my head during dinner and now im putting it into words
ride the cyclone character's factions (divergent)
ocean: born in erudite, tests for erudite, picks erudite. i do make the rules and ocean is 100% erudite.
noel: born in erudite, tests for candor, picks erudite. he almost chose abnegation bc what better way to blend in than to have that be your lifes goal, but he chose against it bc hed be alone
mischa: born in abnegation, tests for abnegation and dauntless, picks dauntless. it looks fun. thats why he does it, bc it looks fun. he passes initiation at top rank tho
ricky: born in amity, tests for amity and dauntless, picks dauntless. he picks dauntless bc yes he believes in nonviolent conflict resolution but he figures that the only way anything will be fixed is through dauntless
penny: born in amity, tests amity and erudite, picks dauntless. she learned the hard way to not eat the bread.
constance: born in abnegation, tests amity, picks abnegation. she doesnt want to leave her family behind, abnegation is her home.
mischa and penny are divergent, ricky thinks hes divergent but when he does the tests outside he finds out hes not (like tobias)
i love dystopia and divergent is my favourite sooo

I have the headcanon that Tybalt quite likes animals, especially horses and cats, but that he doesn't admit it so as not to seem like one of those people who gets stupid when he talks about animals.
He is the type of person who isolates himself when he is too sad and who attracts any stray cat in the area. Same vibes.
For this reason, secretly, Tybalt kind of likes the nickname Mercutio gave him. (Prince of Cats)

♡ A Decision of Paths ♡
A Genshin Dystopian AU Oneshot.
Masterlist here!
Summary ~
Mondstadtia only a few months ago had been freed, but now Mitsuki finds herself overwhelmed by the sudden work... she must choose.
TW: None!
°○•.♡♡♡♡♡.•○°
A serene peace resounded throughout the pavillion. The faint songs of the Church of Celestia's sisters could be heard from below, singing their hearts out.
For now, though, Mitsuki felt content just resting, the gentle wind breezing through the openings in the walls and railings.
Her eyes were gently closed shut, avoiding the outside world -- yet she wasn't asleep. The lavender-haired girl's head was laying in the lap of none other than the head nun, Serena Olace. The geo vision holder carded her fingers through Mitsuki's hair with a certain calmness, nails and fingerpads thoroughly massaging her scalp.
The setting sun peaked through the open pavillion, Mitsuki's eyelids twitching in discomfort. With a flick of her hand, a gust of wind was spawned, closing the thin white curtains posted all around the pavillion. She sighed in peace, Serena's movements stopping as they begun to speak.
"It hurts me to see you so distressed."
Mitsuki peaked her eyes open, greeted by the sight of the green-haired one's frown. "You only say that because of my status," she complained.
Serena shook her head. "Status or not, I still care about you. Is the pressure of being an idol getting to you?"
There was a moment of silence. The Anemo-wielder felt the gears in her head turn.
"It's... it's not just that. In general, the Peace Betallion is putting a lot of responsibility on me."
"Because they know now that you are the Anemo Archon?"
Some months ago, Mondstadtia had finally been set free from the wind barrier Celestia had kept them imprisoned in. Since then, Mitsuki had still been able to keep her identity a secret, but at the cost of her closest co-workers and friends knowing. But now that she had finally  proven to the ever-pouting Blanc Sylvester that she was more than capable, he had been lending her many more tasks to accomplish. With her debut as an idol on top of all of this, Mitsuki's world felt as if it was tumbling down.
"... Yeah."
Serena sighed somberly. "You need to express your boundaries. If it's too much, let Sylvester know," they reasoned, referring to Blanc by his last name.
"I did," Mitsuki started. "But he says it's either the Peace Betallion, or my idol work as 'Dovely'."
"Then what do you want to do?"
There was a pause, before Serena began to speak again.
"You're making more than enough money as of now by being Dovely. Not only is your paycheck larger than working at the Peace Betallion on its own, but I can tell you clearly enjoy being an idol," her voice soothed. "You've earned the spotlight and responsibility, rather than it forcefully being given to you without your consent."
Mitsuki's eyes widened at the Geo-wielder's insightful words, before softening. The lavender-haired girl softly smiled, glancing up at the nun now looking down at her.
"Yes. ... I've made my decision," the Anemo-wielder sat up from her spot, before completely standing up from the granite bench.
In the center of the round pavillion were four granite benches, all organized into a seemingly perfect square. Serena continued to sit on the bench, but she tilted her head up at a slight angle to look the girl into her glimmering, violet eyes.
"And what might that decision be, Mitsuki?" they pried for the answers.
"I think you already know that, as one of the Tempesteds."
'The Tempesteds', as they were called, were similar in function to the Adepti or the Four Winds in the world of Teyvat -- they were Lullabene's closest servants, whom she had gifted powers much more intense than a mortal could achieve with a mere vision. As of now, Serena Olace was the only Tempested. She had once been human, but when Mondstadtia shifted from a city inside a school to a freed city floating among the clouds, Lullabene gifted her as the first Tempested.
As a Tempested, Serena would forever be immortal. In their 'true form', they shared the powers of both Geo and Anemo. Their true form was akin to a centaur, but with the bottom half of a doe, rather than a mare. Her human ears would turn into the ears of a deer, and her hooves would gift her with the speed of the winds. She had consented to this when the Anemo Archon gave her this gift, and now, she would forever spend eternity serving an Archon who only wished to be free of her status.
"Well, I wish you luck in your endeavor."
"Thank you, Serena."
Mitsuki solumnly nodded in determination, before beginning to stroll off towards the stairs. The stairs were located in a hole in the floor, a railing installed in the floor to help the person keep balance. The spiral staircase led to the rest of the Church of Celestia: and out into the the "real world".
The city of Mondstadtia.

Let’s rev it up! Synchro Summon!
Yusei Fudo from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds has been added as a Secondary Muse!
Original Japanese anime and headcanon based, with some influences from the video games (Tag Force, The World Championship DS Games, Duel Links) and the English version of the anime (Mainly on the fact my voice claim for Yusei is Greg Abbey as opposed to Yuya Miyashita/Yusei’s catch phrases or summoning chants/The English card names, and may use the English terms/character names depending on partner’s preferences, which will be sure to be checked prior to any interactions. Essentially, he’s a little mix of everything!
(This is once again @masterofaster ‘s fault. Thanks Crix for being an enabler and Yusei looks forward to kicking Jack’s butt again LMFAO.)

https://archiveofourown.org/works/41593185/chapters/104942391 Competition, Collectivism, Cussedness, and Games
"Most plebeians wisely leave these exalted realms to their very-much-elders, those who have Ages of formal training in UrSkek philosophy and advanced meditation under their belts, not to mention countless trine of character-steadying experience. Indeed, even said elders will usually have practiced thousands of series with a purpose-built AI in order to hone their nonattachment disciplines before they even consider challenging another sentient. After all, to be caught succumbing to a visible loss of temper—and over a game?—would be catastrophic to their hallowed reputations, and bring the very dignity of the UrSkek people itself into question.
Which of the Twice-Nine may have been totally engrossed in such a game with such a colleague at the time of their exile is an exercise left, for now, to the reader.
(Just kidding. It’s SoSu.)"
Further UrSkekery, y'all. ^^ BTW, the heavy footnoting in a couple of the chapters (not this one, but a couple of the others) is going to get fixed. There's just some stuff I shoved into side notes for now because the chapter it'll eventually live in along with the needed cross-references isn't finished yet.

I really like Rachel Zegler's headcanon: Lucy Gray was long gone (why would she stick around?) and everything we see at the end is a hallucination. In the book he asks the doctor on base why the snake bite made him so ill, if it wasn't poisonous, and the doctor says extreme stress can do that:
Tumblr media
The quote is on page 508. "Couldn't think straight" is massively understating it, given how disconnected from reality his pov prose becomes in the forest. I think it fits as one of several supportable readings in both film and book texts. And it has the benefit of meaning that Lucy Gray lives! ❤️
It's certainly not a required reading, though. There's multiple ways to interpret it that are all plausible; it's meant to be a mystery. But the idea that she ran and didn't stop seems very in character to me. She trusts her read on people and she gets the hell out when things go weird and he'd just clearly (a) lied to her, violating trust which is the most important thing to her, and (b) he was acting super weird/creepy.
It also makes sense to me that--after two incredibly stressful & traumatic months--Coriolanus had a full on breakdown in that forest, complete with visual/auditory hallucinations. On my first read-through of the book, I was frustrated with the ableism of people calling him "crazy"/ "sociopath" and therefore "born evil" (that is NOT how neurodivergence works!), so I pushed back on that and wrote pointing out all the ways his brain wiring seems pretty normal and he works as an example of an "ordinary" person acculturated in this dystopia - but as i've re-read and thought over it... it's kind of difficult to see the forest as anything but a breakdown to me.
Literally anyone--including otherwise neurotypical people--can have breakdowns if they experience enough trauma and stress in a short period of time, so one can still interpret him as having pretty standard brain wiring in that case. Or not! My real objection, at base, is to the idea that different wiring = inevitably evil.
[Big thank you to @kpchrs for pointing this panel interview out a couple days ago! I had no idea that Rachel liked this interpretation of the scene and it makes me really happy because that interp. also inspired my fic]

If you aren't Rayman, who's Ramon when it's all over?
Ramon has another identity crisis the comic
If by giving up Rayman as his name, Ramon let go of the facade he'd been living as a golden star for a dystopia, then when the war's over and there's no one else to fight or blame, will Ramon still want to be Ramon? What becomes of a person who wants revenge when there's no one else to take it from?
Also fake rayman is forever going to be snarky little bastard in my eyes Adi Shankar can never take that headcanon from me :3

I had a bad day so you all get more self-indulgent Caleb/Ray/Reggie ABO AU fluff.
-Caleb is constantly torn between Wanting To Spoil The Shit Out Of Reggie and his cheap-ass taste. He’d never actually tell Reggie that, of course, but deep down it pains him a little that he knows Reggie will light up more over a little plastic pumpkin than over a rolex. He finally found a decent middle ground with Ray ‘It’s the Thought that Counts’ Molina, and now this?
So when he finds Reggie in their bedroom, gently rubbing one of Caleb’s silk shirts between his fingers, he is like YES. Not just because he is Extremely Jealous of Reggie walking around in Ray’s old flannels and henleys, but also because this is the perfect opening.
So of course he asks Reggie if he likes what he sees and Reggie immediately starts to apologise. But Caleb just tells him of course he can take whatever he wants from Caleb’s closet he’s been buying extra soft shirts for months now to entice him.
Insert a scene here that is full of Sexual Tension where Caleb slips one of his silk shirts onto Reggie. He does up all the buttons, rolls the cuffs, smooths down the collar and smirks when he smells Reggie’s scent change in his arousal. He gets Reggie to agree to come with him to his tailor so he can get a properly fitted shirt and suit.
(Yes the tailor 100% calls Caleb on his bullshit when he does Reggie’s cuffs etc again and Reggie goes all flustered again.)
-Dumb ABO worldbuilding trope that I like is when scents are really complicated. Betas can’t smell them, and omegas and alphas can’t really smell their own scents unless they really focus, because they get scent-blind to their own scents.
Ray is always smoky, warm, and sometimes rich and chocolatey scents. (In my head his baseline like the smokey note of a lush Soak and Float shampoo bar.) Caleb is always icy and cold things: fresh snow, ice cold streams, etc.
In general, omegas are usually more sweet-smelling. In popular culture, it’s a massive stereotype and beauty standard. Paul was always a dick about how Reggie didn’t smell sweet and he was very  self-conscious about it. So one night he asks Ray what he smells like when Ray is snuggling with him and very clearly nuzzling at his scent glands, all happy.
And Ray is like: ... okay but promise you won’t get upset?
And Reggie of course immediately spirals like: they hate my scent I should be sweeter. And he tells Ray he can start wearing perfume if they want, or using scent-blocking soap. And Caleb looks up horrified like: don’t you dare.
And Ray admits that he thinks Reggie smells like a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Rich and warm and like spices. But he wasn’t trying to imply Reggie smells like (insert Ray awkwardly doing airquotes here) “a basic bitch”. (He knows memes, okay! Sometimes! He heard Flynn say it once!)
And Caleb is all: really? I think it’s more like pumpkin pie.
And Reggie is so mad at Paul because fuck you that sounds AMAZING he smells AMAZING and he is so pleased with himself.
