It's really simple, but I've seen a lot of people who say they wish they could but don't know how so here's everything you need to know.

You don't need a computer for this you can use your phone.

What you need:

An editing software, capcut works great

Voice to text, you can use Google translate, your own voice, or if you're extra: an AI voice replica of your comfort character

A list of affirmations that resonate with you or a list of what you want

Music, ASMR, nature sounds, frequencies. Capcut has free music, you can also screen record any of these off of YouTube. Feel free to create a custom DR ambiance with this.

Formulas

These work best if you mix and match. Do whatever you want there's no rules.

1. I,you,we

Example:

"I can shift.

You can shift.

We can shift."

This basically lets it sink into your subconscious.

2. I feel I love

This tricks your subconscious into believing you have it by telling yourself how much you love having it.

Example: " I love how often I shift"

This is not just limited to "I love" but any feelings you would feel if you had achieved your goal.

3. Why do I

Pretty straight forward, this phrases affirmations are questions.

Example: "why is shifting so easy for me"

4. Adverb

This is something you can add to affirmations to tweak them. Things like "instantly" or "effortlessly " I don't really think it warrants an example.

5. Everyone thinks, everyone says

This basically is affirming that everyone also believes you have your manifestation and you should too.

Example: "Everyone says your skin is flawless"

6. Mantras

Things that rhyme, are fun to say, or get stuck in your head. They work great!

Theres many more but it's just some ideas to get you going.

How to put it together

Write out your list of affirmations

Record text to speech, your voice, or an AI voice saying your affirmations

In whatever you're using to edit extract the audio and layer it with a louder audio of music, asmr, ambiance etc.

Lower the volume of the affirmations

If you feel like it add images you associate with what you're wanting

If you want it on YouTube you can upload it and keep it on private or unlisted

The familiar voice of Idia's favorite idol echoed in the dim room as the call ended. This has been going on for a month now. Azul had cornered him in the board game clubroom after the session. He started to offer the most ridiculous things for Idia so that he would help him locate some mysterious entrepreneur. This entrepreneur known as Litae had taken the NRC campus by storm in just a week. And the Octavinelle housewarden smelled an opportunity for a great investment in that. A promise of financial gain.

Idia first had offered to create a voice generation software for him, but Azul declined. He wanted the real deal. Why create a rival when you can blackmail the original creator to join his team. Or as the merman had put it: Offer a safe working environment and stable income. Idia wanted to escape the situation, but seemed that the only way to do that was to agree to help his clubmate.

He started his research. It started from small testing, paying this Litae to give him a greeting or a small clip. To see if he could use a voice recognition software to find patterns, a recurring pitch or to see if the voice was generated by a computer. All coming back almost negative. There were some small recurring patterns, but not enough to pinpoint anyone exactly. And the voice wasn't AI generated either. Or if it was, it was a highly sophisticated model.

He asked Litae to voice different actors. Then fictional characters and lastly… one of his favorite characters from Sled over Heels. Why not indulge himself a bit? To have a high quality personalized greeting from his favorite character would make his heart flutter. And it did. A little bit of greetings there and a little bit of encouragement here. Like before the public speech he had at the cultural fair. (Not that he was going to speak in public, he made a high end text to speech software to avoid that.)

Then came the calls. Litae started offering short calls, improvised calls for the students. For Idia, it was downhill from there… He was addicted. ***

2 months ago

It all started when it was announced that the Star Rogue: Remake Galaxy would be exclusive on the newly launched Wonderlink console. [Y/N] had been a long time fan of the game series and finally it was getting the recognition that it deserved. But there was a problem… A financial one. They could buy the game, sure, but they didn't have the console. They needed a plan on how to get money. Something easy. Something so low effort that they could do it while keeping up with their studies.

A couple of days had passed. During a break they had a conversation with their fellow dormmates about the wake up call tracks. They remembered those from old radio shows. The voice actors acted as their characters and recorded a set of different versions of wake up notifications. People ate them all up, trying to get hold of those radio show tracks. They would dissect the lines and share them online. And that's where the idea began in [Y/N]'s head.

Like a strike of fate, it was perfect. Outer appearance of [Y/N] was that of a normal human, but they had the blood of a changeling fae in them. It wasn't much, but enough. The influence from a few generations past would act up sometimes. Whenever magic was flowing strong around them, their appearance changed randomly if not deliberately focused on anything. They had a special medication for it. That they didn't give themselves gills without thinking and suffocated. That was a rare thing to begin with but better safe than sorry. After all, in a magic school with all the students blasting spells, it could get hectic. Stronger the magic, the bigger the change could be.

On its own it was more of a parlor trick, to change one's hair color, or transform their teeth sharp… Or change their voice. They researched the best way to handle the transfer of money and got an old smartphone from the lost and found. Being an Ignihyde student, they knew the lengths to which the digital footprint could be tracked. They couldn't be too cautious. They didn't want others to know about this idea, about them doing it or that they had such a gift from their ancestors. Who would trust a descendant of a changeling after all?

After two weeks of planning, the plan went into motion. They made a separate email account on their "work" phone and sent an advert to the whole student body of NRC. ***

This isn't meant to be a discourse post so much as an observation but something about AI generated voice covers being very easy to clone and shove a different voice into, leading to an absolute glut of covers of Frank Sinatra's My Way like.

You can do that with Vocaloid software too. Take notes and put in a different voicebank and all but Vocaloids are seen more as an instrument than a tool, if that makes sense?

Vocaloid (it feels like, from observation) as a community encourages you to develop your tuning style and get a unique sound out of each voicebank. But AI-based covers have like, Moonbase Alpha's TTS Voice singing My Way.

Moonbase Alpha's Text To Speech lets you specify pitch as well as vowels, making it essentially a very cumbersome vocal synth. But you'll get AI covers with the description openly stating "yeah I could've used Moonbase Alpha itself but I'm too lazy to code".

A lower barrier for entry is good but a higher barrier for entry with a higher skill ceiling is also good? Possibly even better long term? Dunno, it's just weird that it's all My Way, but copied off each other's homework.

Sharing Indecencies

This was part of the casual norm at this point. At least twice to three times a month the superhero would receive a photo or so from the supervillain with a distinct work question underneath. Sometimes the pictures and texts would be more frequent and Superhero couldn’t tell if it was because Supervillain just wanted to tease or if it was because they meant business.

Either way, Superhero couldn’t help just how much they enjoyed the messages. Exchanging them for ones of their own when they needed favours as well.

How else would they have both climbed to their respective roles so quickly? It was easy when the other side was so compliant with information.

Of course, they both had set boundaries long ago and rules about just how much and what exactly they could ask, but that didn’t make it any less fun.

However, this was the first time in their tradings that Superhero received a special message during a meeting between their workers. Mid-speech and their phone was buzzing face up on the table, the light and home screen available for any peeking eyes to see.

That was their first mistake.

“-go left and down Roweca street, we can corner the villains in the bank before—” The light flashed on Superhero’s phone again and they finally whisked it off the table, catching a glance at the name on the notification and suddenly their brain just stopped.

They knew exactly what that name meant and in a split second their phone had opened from its recognition software. Suddenly, Superhero was staring, eyes wide in a panic, at three or four very indecent photos of Supervillain.

“Boss?”

Every other hero at the table was staring at them, they were painfully aware of that but they just couldn’t get their brain to work. Their speech and plans had been entirely forgotten and they couldn’t tear their gaze from their phone.

“Superhero? Is everything alright?”

The superhero needed to come up with an excuse and fast. They couldn’t just excuse themselves to the toilet and pretend like nothing happened. They were stuck in front of a whole audience and put on display.

Not only was the situation itself embarrassing, but it was getting increasingly difficult to ignore the reaction in their pants.

“I-I… U-uh— Uhm…” Superhero started to stutter out words, forcing their mouth to move but it didn’t create any sentences. It didn’t need to. The blush on their cheeks spoke a thousand words to anyone paying enough attention.

“T-There’s been an e-emergency—”

Those words started a ruffle of commotion through the crowd. Heroes leaning over to whisper between themselves and others beginning to panic.

“N-Not— Not one that, uh… a-affects us s-so we’re fine. Just s-some uh, family business…” That was technically supposed to be their cue to leave, packing their stuff up in a split second, but a senior hero stood up in their way. Blocking Superhero from the exit as they slipped their phone into their pocket to hide it.

“Superhero.” The other’s voice was stern. “You know if something is going on with you or your family—if you’re being threatened or blackmailed—we’re here for you. You can tell us and we’ll all team up to help.”

The superhero appreciated the effort, the kindness, they really did. But there was a more pressing matter that needed to be dealt with between their thighs before they could express anything other than a rushed tone.

“I-I understand. Thank—thank you, Commander. I-I’ll let you know if a-uhhh… a-anything develops.”

The pair shared a nod, the commander looking slightly suspicious, but moving out of the way for Superhero to hurry past them. Bumping into a few other colleagues before they finally made it out the door and all but bolted for the nearest bathroom.

Immediately sinking into the nearest stall as they pulled out their phone and opened the pictures once more. They knew the rules. You receive a picture, you send the information and then you can… treat yourself.

That didn’t make it any easier to get the words out of their muddled brain and into their texts.

Quickly typing away the answers without even thinking. They didn’t have time to think. They didn’t want to think. The only thing on their mind right now was the supervillain’s body and that was more than enough.

Besides, they could mull over just how much and how important the information they were giving away freely was after they helped themselves. Along with the guilt that would haunt the pit of their stomach for the next few weeks, it never felt necessarily good to give up information this quickly.

They just had reminded themselves that they could get information from the supervillain just as easily. So it wasn’t that bad of an act, was it?

Superhero would worry about that later and without wasting another second their hand slide down the front of their pants.

It's a little janky and apparently 50% likely to spontaneously delete all the other words in the sentence and just leave "destiel" for some reason.

The urge to ban all my ideas onto paper. And kind comments on my writing posts, of course!

If not, maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them): This snippet is from this flash fiction written from the pov of the phoenix Fox. I won't attempt to translate it because I'm afraid most metaphors would be lost in translation.

Dietbert Siegfrieden, the funny dwarf, makes me smile when I write scenes from his pov and talk about him. He is such a gullible dwarf with a pure heart. Dietbert always tries his best to make his family and every being he meets laugh out loud. He is my only real feelgood character, compared to all my other characters who are morally grey. Of course, I love all my characters and talking about them never fails to make me feel happy.

4. What process of writing do you enjoy the most?

When ideas I had in mind for long spontaneously burst out when writing scenes or a poem and start to make sense. I usually set a timer and then just write, without thinking too much about the plot and other stuff that might hold me back from writing.

5. What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)

Writing dialogue comes easy to me which dates back to my school's drama club for which I've written several scripts, some even were performed on stage. I just love sassy or emotional dialogue! I think it's what I can write best. Writing poetry for 10 years also makes me confident in writing flowery metaphors.

The magic of all creatures living in the forest Avni is derived from pantheism. Yggdrasil is the oldest tree in the forest and sentient. All creatures of the forest are connected to Yggdrasil and worship it as the creator of all life and protector of the forest. On another note, I don’t have a strict magic system, but the different species have different kinds of magical powers and these powers are believed to come from the forest itself. When the forest dies, all mystical creatures like elves, dwarfs and giants are left helplessly without their magic and of course all animals and plants lose their habitat or even lives. Avni will also become the centre of conflict in my story, when the humans seek out to destroy Avni by cutting down trees, poisoning rivers and burn the vegetation to build more factories and houses.

The world needs to hear your stories, so write them. And even if only one person reads your story and gains a new perspective, it was worth writing it, because you have changed the life of someone with your words, and what's more powerful than that?

Applied AI - Integrating AI With a Roomba

AKA. What have I been doing for the past month and a half

Everyone loves Roombas. Cats. People. Cat-people. There have been a number of Roomba hacks posted online over the years, but an often overlooked point is how very easy it is to use Roombas for cheap applied robotics projects.

Continuing on from a project done for academic purposes, today's showcase is a work in progress for a real-world application of Speech-to-text, actionable, transformer based AI models. MARVINA (Multimodal Artificial Robotics Verification Intelligence Network Application) is being applied, in this case, to this Roomba, modified with a Raspberry Pi 3B, a 1080p camera, and a combined mic and speaker system.

The hardware specifics have been a fun challenge over the past couple of months, especially relating to the construction of the 3D mounts for the camera and audio input/output system.

Roomba models are particularly well suited to tinkering - the serial connector allows the interface of external hardware - with iRobot (the provider company) having a full manual for commands that can be sent to the Roomba itself. It can even play entire songs! (Highly recommend)

Scope:

Current:

The aim of this project is to, initially, replicate the verbal command system which powers the current virtual environment based system.

This has been achieved with the custom MARVINA AI system, which is interfaced with both the Pocket Sphinx Speech-To-Text (SpeechRecognition · PyPI) and Piper-TTS Text-To-Speech (GitHub - rhasspy/piper: A fast, local neural text to speech system) AI systems. This gives the AI the ability to do one of 8 commands, give verbal output, and use a limited-training version of the emotional-empathy system.

This has mostly been achieved. Now that I know it's functional I can now justify spending money on a better microphone/speaker system so I don't have to shout at the poor thing!

The latency time for the Raspberry PI 3B for each output is a very spritely 75ms! This allows for plenty of time between the current AI input "framerate" of 500ms.

Future - Software:

Subsequent testing will imbue the Roomba with a greater sense of abstracted "emotion" - the AI having a ground set of emotional state variables which decide how it, and the interacting person, are "feeling" at any given point in time.

This, ideally, is to give the AI system a sense of motivation. The AI is essentially being given separate drives for social connection, curiosity and other emotional states. The programming will be designed to optimise for those, while the emotional model will regulate this on a seperate, biologically based, system of under and over stimulation.

In other words, a motivational system that incentivises only up to a point.

The current system does have a system implemented, but this only has very limited testing data. One of the key parts of this project's success will be to generatively create a training data set which will allow for high-quality interactions.

The future of MARVINA-R will be relating to expanding the abstracted equivalent of "Theory-of-Mind". - In other words, having MARVINA-R "imagine" a future which could exist in order to consider it's choices, and what actions it wishes to take.

This system is based, in part, upon the Dyna-lang model created by Lin et al. 2023 at UC Berkley ([2308.01399] Learning to Model the World with Language (arxiv.org)) but with a key difference - MARVINA-R will be running with two neural networks - one based on short-term memory and the second based on long-term memory. Decisions will be made based on which is most appropriate, and on how similar the current input data is to the generated world-model of each model.

Once at rest, MARVINA-R will effectively "sleep", essentially keeping the most important memories, and consolidating them into the long-term network if they lead to better outcomes.

This will allow the system to be tailored beyond its current limitations - where it can be designed to be motivated by multiple emotional "pulls" for its attention.

This does, however, also increase the number of AI outputs required per action (by a magnitude of about 10 to 100) so this will need to be carefully considered in terms of the software and hardware requirements.

Results So Far:

Here is the current prototyping setup for MARVINA-R. As of a couple of weeks ago, I was able to run the entire RaspberryPi and applied hardware setup and successfully interface with the robot with the components disconnected.

I'll upload a video of the final stage of initial testing in the near future - it's great fun!

The main issues really do come down to hardware limitations. The microphone is a cheap ~$6 thing from Amazon and requires you to shout at the poor robot to get it to do anything! The second limitation currently comes from outputting the text-to-speech, which does have a time lag from speaking to output of around 4 seconds. Not terrible, but also can be improved.

To my mind, the proof of concept has been created - this is possible. Now I can justify further time, and investment, for better parts and for more software engineering!

Digital English Language Lab Technical Specifications

The software should be capable of being installed on desktops, laptops, and in any windows based operating systems

Language lab should be developed as per CEFR refereed standards i.e. syllabus should be divided as per A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 standards

The content should focus on building all four language skills namely, LSRW.

The content should have activities, exercises, and should be loaded with audio-video samples.

The main purpose of the Language lab is for self-practice for students, hence user interface should be easy to navigate and does not require any Teacher or facilitator to guide or monitor the student in the learning process

There should not be any limitations. Students should be able to go through the module unlimited time till he/she gets proficient in the topic

After completion of every Course, an assessment/Quiz should be available for the student to check their knowledge levels

Students should be able to record and download the voice unlimitedly

Software should not require high configuration machines. Even normal PCs and Laptops should be able to handle the software without any issue.

Graphic rich content to be used to explain concepts to students

Indian neutral /accent-free voice should be used in the Language lab

All levels and backgrounds of students i.e. rural students should also use easily and effectively

Should Provide equal weightage on LSRW

Basics of grammar must be covered in brief

Special activities to overcome Mother Tongue Influence (MTI). A focus on ‘Mother Tongue Influence (MTI) to overcome pronunciation differences of consonant sounds using mouth movements.

[🗣️ - How do they handle public speaking? ---They prefer to sign. They've taught the entire council how ti at the very least understand what they're signing. If they need more time or if in the presence of people who don't know they use a text-to-speech software on their tablet. If injured in a hand they can sign out letters or use morse code. But they still prefer signing by hand. 👪 - What’s their relationship with their parents like? ---Good. They keep their parents updated on stuff (obviously leaving out the Foundation part). As far as they know Eight is on a trip around the world. ☂️ - How do they feel about rain? --They like it because they can hang out with their wife Thirteen. 🖌️ - Do they have any hobbies? ---They like to sew! They once made baby shower clothes for a D-9341. 🍳 - How well can they cook? ---They're decent at it but prefer Thirteen's cooking over their own 🍪 - How well can they bake? ---They EXCEL at baking.
