I need an arcane percy Jackson au fic.

Jinx and lux having an initiation for the new comer y/n.

💖 Note: my brain started swimming with ideas oh my gods!! Also, I don’t know much about Lux besides small reads from the website and lore backgrounds.

💖Pairing: No pairing. Established friendship with Jinx (Arcane Netflix) and Lux (League of Legends)

💖Summary: Arcane (Netflix) meets the world of Percy Jackson. What will happen when Jinx and Lux, both going against camp rules by sneaking out, discovers a camper in need.

💖Note2: the story will take place in Modern time. The setting will be New York (at Camp Half Blood) and than later on in New York, Manhattan.

Jinx is definitely a Hephaestus child.

I imagine Lux as Apollo (blonde, light, wanting to help and heal Jinx, and they have light control. Apollo is sun so that goes hand and hand with light!)

Caitlyn is from the Roman camp (Camp Jupiter) (which is on brand with the Roman camp having better society and everything else just like Piltover).

For Ekko I originally thought of Demeter with the tree and plant connection but now I’m thinking Athena. He’s smart to plan and problem solve, he’s a natural leader, and he (SPOILERS) makes a literal time traveling machine. Yeah it works for a few seconds at a time but that’s amazing! So yeah, I think Athen fits him more.

Benzo, Vander, and Silco are camp Directors. They all are from great stories about fighting revolutions and wars. They no longer speak about it and don’t discuss it in depth for lessons anymore. Silco doesn’t either but because he wishes to focus to the future.

Sevika was an Area child but comes back to camp to “help” train campers (she loves beating them up with the excuse of training).

Silco is angry at the gods and that the camp Jupiter is better and well off.

💖World info: this is a mix between Percy Jackson (a book written by Rick Riordan) and the Netflix show Arcane.

• Percy Jackson: a book that focuses on a world where the Greek gods exists and if they were still was actively making Half-Bloods (half Greek god and half human) children. The book takes place in several locations as time goes on.

“Jinx you can’t leave camp! You’re supposed to be in class at the Pavilion learning Greek mythology!” Lux panted behind Jinx as she finally caught up with her long time friend.

“Greek smeek! Blah blah blah! I know it all already, Lux!” Jinx waved her right hand around in the air.

“The Greek gods exist, there’s monsters, they’re angry against the gods and they can come and kill and eat us at any time- I get it! It’s the same old, same old. Each week we learn a different story on how the gods screw us over and we’re left dealing with it!” Jinx huffed and rolled her eyes, not that Lux can see from where she’s walking behind her

“Okay than where are you going?” Lux grabbed Jinx’s wrist to have her stop walking and at least face her. Jinx turned and smiled, “I’m going shopping!”

This was, indeed, not shopping.

Jinx had visit three stores that all had some sort of connection to art supplies, games, or electronics. All of which she took something from, without paying…

Lux had only joined in the means of ‘Keeping Jinx out of trouble’ or so she claims. So far she’s keeping up with that promise, no cops had been called on Jinx but sadly her being there hadn’t stopped Jinx from going ‘shopping’.

“Jinx this isn’t shopping! This is shop- lifting!” Lux had whispered-yelled as they left the third store, she was slowly losing her nerves over all this, Jinx had only taken things that can fit in her cargo pants but with so many pockets on them, she’s scared Jinx won’t stop until all of them are filled.

“Shop-lifting is a form of shopping, Lux! If it wasn’t, than it wouldn’t have the word shopping in it!” Jinx was practically skipping down the street as Lux was trying to keep up with her with so many people bumping into her shoulders and pushing her back as they walk. That’s the dense crowds of Manhattan for you.

Jinx turned just in time to see Lux getting hit in the shoulders again by a man speed walking on his phone. Jinx grabbed Lux’s wrist to pull her friend closer as she yelled profanities at the man walking away without a care in the world after bumping into Jinx’s only friend.

“Come on, Lux. I want to go to this one store down this street-” Jinx stopped herself from talking as she stopped walking resulting in someone bumping into her and muttering something under their breath as they went around her and Lux.

“Jinx you can’t just stop in the middle of the road-“ Lux stopped talking and took in her surroundings..

Something was wrong…

Being in a world where monsters exist, the ones that can blend in and hide in plain sight as humans, were dangerous enough; but to be in plain sight where fighting back can cause a scene or harm civilians weren’t ideal.

Jinx and Lux made eye contact and nodded towards one another. Lux having her hands on her compatible staff made entirely of  Celestial Bronze.

Jinx had already laid her hands on her slingshot, the closest she was allowed to have to another weapon she prefers but isn’t allowed to have.

Jinx looked ahead of her and saw someone rushing into Central Park holding their arm as if they were hurt. Seeing someone in a bomber jacket rushing after the injured person was enough to show anyone that they were playing cat and mouse, and Jinx was ready to play.

Jinx rushed forward after the man in the jacket, excitement getting the better of her; anxiousness getting the better of Lux.

Rushing into Central Park looking like you were being chased was a bad thing, but running into Central Park because you were actually being chase was a horrible thing.

Imagine your surprise when one moment you’re walking around in Time square and suddenly feel like you’re being followed. Now imagine that feeling tripling when you realize that no matter how many trains and subway rats (Twitch, that you?) you ran through, only to find someone is still hot on your trail.

By the time you left the subways you subconsciously had made it to 59th street. When you looked around you felt eyes on you, but couldn’t see anyone that was wearing the jacket of your pursuer.

Until you were being grabbed by the arm.

“Ah! Let go of me!” You started to squirm and kick the person who had an abnormally strong grip on you. You felt the person squeeze and you feel pain shoot through your arm as you feel their nails dig in

“Found you, little half-blood.” The man sneered in your face, he seriously needed a breath mint on top of learning to respect peoples’ personal space.

“Half what? You seriously have the wrong person and even if you did, which you don’t! This isn’t how to treat anyone!” At this point people started stare and you decided to do the only thing you can think of:

“Oh my god! Is that Dua Lipa?!” You screamed at the top of your lungs pointing ahead of you towards a general area.

The crowd went wild around you. I guess it helps that the man grabbing your arm looked like a security guard of sorts with sunglasses and a black bomber coat.

Of course someone yelled “she’s over there!” And everyone started to run in that general direction. Several people started to shove past you and your  assailant with enough force to have you break free and run following the motion of the crowd.

You eventually split off from the crowd once you notice people started to thin out and go back to their day after not finding the so called celebrity that was near by.

You ran into Central Park as fast as you could, in hindsight you should of stayed in tight crowds to blend in but hindsight is 20/20 and you’re not a fortune teller, cause if you were; you would of seen this coming and stayed in bed.

Now hiding behind a tree never worked in movies and cartoons but as you hide behind a tree you can officially testify that the cartoons were-

“found you!”

The cartoons were wrong! So very wrong!

As you run from behind the tree you suddenly hear the man yell in pain.

Now obviously you learned very poor skills from listening to movies. So instead of running and not looking back: you decided to turn your head to look back to see why he yelled in pain.

You slowed to a stop once you see that the man is crouched down holding his knee cursing in Greek.

Wait.. how did you know that he was yelling in Greek?

You finally stopped completely to take notice that a girl with blue hair was readying another slingshot at the man.

This day went from weird to freaky.

A blonde girl runs up to you asking if you’re okay, I mean you are to some extent but if she was here to ask if anyone was okay, shouldn’t it be towards the man?

You turned your gaze from the blonde lady back to the man who suddenly was barring his teeth and staring back at you with his eye… eye. Not eyes.. one eye.

Yeah, today wasn’t a good day.

You weren’t sure what you were seeing was correct, but you can say with certainty that today would of been best spent in bed.

As you open your mouth to speak you hear a shout coming from the blue hair girl, who obviously didn’t enjoy that the man was staring at you and the blonde and not her.

“Hey! I’m not done playing” the blue hair girl yelled. The man turned to look at her and roared so loudly that he helped a near by dog relieve themselves on the grass faster.

“You shot me in the knee!” The man stood up from the grass now yelling at the girl who was barely half his size.

“Yeah and? Be happy it wasn’t an arrow to the knee!” The girl huffed and smiled. She was smiling as the man, who clearly taller than her, began to prowl his way towards her

“More little half-bloods..” As the man raised his fist the girl suddenly aimed her slingshot up to his face and shot him in between the eyes.. oh wait hbh fn only has one eye and it’s in the middle. So that means she shot him in-

“My eye! You shot my eye!”

Yup. Right in the eye… you look back at the blonde girl who had a brown staff in her hands, where did she get that? She didn’t have that a moment ago.

“Hey.. who are you guys?” The girl turned to look at me and smile “don’t worry, we’ll explain everything on our way to camp”

Yeah, thanks.. that explains so much. Not.

“Oh you’re really mad, huh?” The blue hair was laughing now. The man at this point as blindly (literally) charging at the girl. She kept giggling and dodging with such ease.

“Jinx stop goofing around! We need to head back to camp before we get into even more trouble!” The blonde was shouting towards her friend who just ducked below a left hook that was swing with no precision at all.

“Aww fine!” The blue hair girl, who you’re assuming is named Jinx, took out a ball made of some metal. It looked to be the same type at the blonde girl’s staff.

The blue girl ready the stone into her slingshot, ready, aimed, and fired straight into the man’s chest.

You screamed in shocked. She just shot him in the chest with a slingshot, the ball went through his chest.

The blue hair girl looked at you quickly after hearing your scream and smiled when she realized why you screamed. Suddenly a loud explosion rang out along with colours of blues and pinks surrounded us. When all the colours finally settled you see that the man was no longer there, but in his place was a pile of dust that laid in the grass slowly being pushed by the wind.

Cool.. cool.. so you just witnessed a murder.

Not something you thought will be on your bucket list to check off, but here we are; an accomplice to murder.

How were you an accomplice? Well technically you lead that man this far into the woods with you hoping back and forth from tree to tree like you were a pretend squirrel. 

The girl smiled and put away her slingshot, skipping up to both of you. Now that you look at her you realized that both girls were wearing similar shirts.

The blonde girl was wearing a shirt that read “Camp Half-Blood” while the blue hair girl was wearing one in similar colour, but it was barely readable with what looked to be purposeful rips showing up a neon shirt underneath and paint smeared in the front.

At first you thought it was just random lines until you made out a monkey symbol on the front covering the words that match her friend’s shirt.

“K that was fun!” The girl smiled widely. The blonde girl looked back at you while folding her staff, ah so that’s how it appeared out of no where.

“Are you okay? Thank gods we were here in time to save you. You’re lucky that nasty bruise is all you had left from that encounter.” As she said this you placed your hand on your arm subconsciously and winced at the pain. Yeah that hurt a lot more now that the adrenaline is gone.

“Well come on! Let’s go already! I’m getting bored” the blue hair girl grabbed both yours and her friend’s wrist and began pulling you both out the Central Park. As you both were leaving you saw several people looking panicked, right the explosion was obviously heard from the main trails.

“Jinx, let’s head straight to camp before the cops come. I already used the mist to make it seem like it was fireworks, but doesn’t mean we should remain here incase anyone starts to ask questions and demand answers.” The blonde girl said firmly like this was a usual situation between the two; as if this was standard protocol for whatever just took place back there.

You pulled back from them, freeing your wrist from the blue hair girl in the process, and stopped walking. “What the heck just happened back there?“

The blonde girl smiled in a way as if she was trying to figure out a way to say something, “that was a-“ “a cyclops.” The blue girl interrupted.

“Jinx!”

“What? You were just going to beat around the bush! Might as well rip the bandaid off, Lux.” Jinx said while shrugging.

Your head was spinning.. “a cyclops.. like from mythology? The ones we learn in middle school?”

The blonde girl, Lux, turned to you and nodded. “Yes, exactly! Wow, this makes things a little easier to explain if you already know some stuff!”

She smiled happily, “at least we won’t have to explain a whole lot when we get back, but we’ll still have a lot of explaining to do on our own part as to why we weren’t at the pavilion.” Lux said the last part to Jinx as Jinx was already looking at pigeons flying overhead.

They both had started to walk back to the subway, in turn you were following them too but stopped at the top of the stairs.

“Wait, where are we all going?”

They both stopped climbing down the stairs and looked back at you,

“We’re going to Camp Half-Blood.”

Guns For Hire - Woodkid. A cinematic *master piece* perfect for the scene the lyrics??? Omg "tuck your innocence goodnight you sold your friends for guns for hire". Unparalleled. The vocals. Heavenly.

Goodbye - Ramsey. I love songs that make me want to cry and this one hits it just right. A key theme of the show is loss and grief. And I can just feel it. "Where is my home. I don't recognise the faces anymore."

Dynasties and Dystopia - Denzel Curry, Gizzle & Ben Joy. The best of this song makes me want to run and move. It fits both Ekko and Jinx's vibes so well and of course goes with one of the best fight scenes of season 1.

What Could of Been - Sting. Like I said I love sad songs. Similar to Goodbye it hits some of the sadder themes of the show so well. The opening line just *chefs kiss* "I am the monster your created". That's it isn't it. Not just Jinx and Vi. Not just Silco and Vander. Or Viktor and Jayce and Mel. But Piltover and Zaun. They are the monsters they keep creating over and over. Plus the best violin section and a drop?? Dies.

Enemy - Imagine Dragons. Don't get me wrong love the opening song it's a banger and I love ID too however it doesn't hit as hard I think as any of the songs on the soundtrack however the beat slaps so hard it takes number five. Plus it's like the soundtrack mascot and it's music video is bomb.

Misfit Toys - Pusha T & Mako. Although I think it doesn't have as much of a beat as Snakes and DLA I think its lyrics add so much more to the story. It does feel like a mix of Silco and Jayces song with the opening lines being "I declare war... How could you ignore the voiceless, the screams of the poor". It mirrors what Silcos message is and what Jayce learns in the last episodes. It really hits on the personal aspects of the war between Topside and the Undercity with lines like "both sides go to war like a mosh pit... Our neighborhoods held hostage". I just really love the lyrics okay.

Snakes - PVRIS & MIYAVI. The song Slaps. Cannot deny it. Think it's a banger and also wants to get me fighting. It definitely feels like a Jinx song and really focuses on all the rage she has inside her that we do see but she doesn't articulate very well and often falls back on her childlike behaviour. This song is so so good I really wish it was further up but I think it did lack a little something something.

Everything Went Wrong - Fantastic Negrito. Gotta have some country music in there haven't we. I actually really do like the song and it lifts the whole soundtrack a lot with its different beat and style. It's very much needed to even things out. There's also some nice lyrics in there that pulls a more comical spin on things.

Our love - Curtis Harding & Jazmine Sullivan. This song also provides a lot of balance into the soundtrack which stops it from being all heavy beats and electronic. The scene this is in,,, I'm just saying Jayce and Viktor are there I am Just Saying. I do like the song not my typical style which is main reason it's low down but I get why people like it. The vocals are gorgeous.

Dirty Little Animals - BONES UK. Does kind of feel like a lesser version of Snakes as it lacks a lot of meaningful lyrics. I like the chorus but not my personal fave. Just kind of there on the track.

Playground - Bee Miller. I don't know why but this song bores me a little it's a nice song and it works fine in the scene but I usually skip it on the soundtrack. None of the lyrics really stick out as well they're kind of generic. But it is in the opening episodes when we didn't know the characters so I understand.

Was this pointless? Maybe! Does my opinion matter? Nope! Please don't take this to heart I just did it for fun. I would love to see if anyone agrees or disagrees and why I love seeing people's ranking list for this soundtrack I think it really highlights what they like about the show personally.

[INTERVIEW] AleXa makes her debut with "Bomb"! + Interview

AleXa, also known as Alex Christine, made her official debut with the explosive title track "Bomb" on October 21st. AleXa has been involved in the K-Pop industry for the past three years competing on multiple high-profile competition shows, garnering a supportive fanbase along the way, and signing with a top K-Pop production team. The catch? She's only 22 years old, grew up in the United States, and for the first 21 years of her life hadn't spoken a word of Korean. So how does a small-town girl from Oklahoma wind up as a K-Pop star?

AleXa's K-Pop story began in 2016 when she entered in—along with over 5,000 other contestants—to compete on Soompi's new survival show Rising Legends. Not only was she chosen to compete, she also ended up winning after receiving nearly 1 million fan votes! After being crowned 'Rising Legend', AleXa released the single "Strike It Up" in partnership with Soompi and CUBE Entertainment.

But the journey didn't end there! In 2017, AleXa signed with Zanybros and became the first to debut under their artist agency ZB Label. Zanybros is renowned in the industry for producing MVs for some of the biggest names in K-Pop including BTS, SNSD, EXO, and many more.

In 2018, AleXa once again beat out thousands of competitors and became one of 96 contestants on Mnet's singing competition program "Produce 48". Now, having overcome two survival shows and joined a top production company, AleXa is here to make her mark on K-Pop. After releasing the MV to her debut song "Bomb" on Youtube, AleXa successfully garnered over a million views in under 48 hours!

"Bomb" is described as a "powerful dance track combining Brazilian Funk and electronic elements matched to a choreography inspired by Afrobeats and Dancehall moves". It was created by a Swedish team at EKKO MUSIC RIGHTS that has written and produced tracks for TWICE, Red Velvet, NCT, and more.

OurKpop recently had the privilege of interviewing AleXa ahead of her debut. In our interview, AleXa shares her personal debut journey, what "Bomb" means to her, her experience in the K-Pop industry, and a fun Halloween story!

Would you be able to explain AleXa? Who is AleXa?

AleXa is an AI created by ZB Corporation. In “Bomb” she can be seen as awakening from being shut down, reprogramming herself, and figuring out where she is and what she’s destined to do.

You’ve mentioned wanting to debut with a stage name since Alex Christine doesn’t sound very “idol-like”. What was the decision behind AleXa? What does the X in AleXa mean?

The decision behind debuting with the name AleXa is quite simple. ZanyBros was the first company in Korea to shoot music videos using the Alexa camera, and therefore the name Alexa is very precious to them. As I am their first artist, they bestowed the upon me.

The “X” in AleXa itself stands out, when written, as I want to stand out in the industry and make a statement.

How is it being able to debut? What kinds of emotions are you going through?

Being able to debut and finally seeing all the fruits of our labor come together in such an awesome music video like “Bomb”, it’s truly humbling.

I have experienced many emotions during this whole process; most of them positive and happy ones, however there are, of course, nerves and anxious emotions and play as well.

What was your biggest challenge while getting ready to debut?

My biggest challenge while getting ready for debut was the Korean language. Having grown up in America 21 years of my life, having never spoken a lick of Korean, the language has been the biggest challenge.

Who would you say is your biggest influence in becoming an artist?

My biggest influence in becoming an artist can definitely be summed up to two people/groups. First HyunA sunbaenim. I have been a fan of her since wayback, and she has always been someone I look up to as a role model. She such a dynamic performer and I love everything about her.

Secondly, the first group I ever fell in love with was SHINee sunbaenim. If it weren’t for them, I probably would not be where I am today. They were the first group I fell in love with.

How would you say growing up in America has influenced your music?

I think growing up in America, where it’s a melting pot of people and cultures, definitely influenced “Bomb” to be the melting pot that it is. It takes heavy influence from Brazilian funk and a few other music styles.

What was the biggest takeaway you had from Produce 48?

Be fearless. Don’t hold back. If you want to do something, push yourself to achieve it.

You participated in Produce 48, which was the first of the Produce series that welcomed trainees from both Korea and Japan. I also understand you learned some Japanese in college. Might there be plans for activities in Japan in the future?

Absolutely!! We fully intend to take AleXa global, in the future!!!

What was one of your favourite memories from Produce 48?

Definitely meeting the wonderful friends that I have now. I did not speak Korean too well at the time, so the friends that I have now were kind enough to speak to me in English. They helped me a lot along the way.

Who has been the most memorable artist you’ve had the opportunity to meet?

IN2IT sunbaenim!!! I am so fortunate to have met them this year, having gone on tour with them twice! They are truly such a talented group of boys, and I am excited to see what the future has for them! Please do support them, they are a great role models for me as an artist.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

My dream collaboration would be with one of three artists: Jessi, HyunA, ChungHa. Three powerful women.

Aside from the concept with “Bomb”, what further concepts would you hope to pursue in the future?

I, myself, absolutely love anything dark and macabre. Therefore, I would love to do something similar to Billie Eilish’s “bury a friend” or like VIXX sunbaenim’s “Voodoo Doll”. Spook me up.

How different was it filming for your debut MV “Bomb” versus “Strike It Up”?

“Strike It Up” language aside, is VERY different from “Bomb”. “S.I.U” is a song with a bright tone, while “Bomb” is a darker tone. Both are motivating and go-getting songs, but “Bomb” moreso than “S.I.U”, holds more power.

What’s a story you've always wanted to tell in an interview but never had the chance?

Seeing as it is almost Halloween time, I have a funny story for you. Well, maybe not so fun, but entertaining. When I was younger, I had gone to a Halloween event at our local aquarium. I was dressed as Venom and my younger brother was Spiderman. The costume was fully equipped with fake muscles and a mask. Upon looking at me, nobody assumed I was a girl. I distinctly remember getting bro-nods of approval from boys around my age. It was very entertaining to me, as a female.

What are your bigger goals now that you’ve debuted as AleXa, and what can we expect for the future?

I’d say my biggest goal right now is to garner 1 million views before the end of the year, and to successfully tour at least 10 cities by the end of next year.

When an ora mining accident puts his father out work, Ekko decides to use his skills as a hacker to help his family.  He lies to his parents and tells them that he found work with an IT company in order to support them, when in reality, he is hacking away at the empire’s secrets and selling them off.  In his mind, it’s a win-win, as he gets to help his family and get his revenge against the empire, whom he blames for his father’s accident and the poor living conditions on his home planet.  His mother is a bit suspicious about where the money comes from, but he just kisses her on the cheek and reassures her that IT pays really well these days.
