Oh you know, just putting together an overly inclusive list of what I want to make an emergency kit out of. Just your normal end-times stuff lol. (Those white boxes will turn into green boxes with checkmarks as I procure things.)

Gonna take a long time to actually collect all of this but I’ll get the important stuff first. Also, I want a big kit for our house but I also want to make a go-bag or keep smaller kits in our cars too. Some stuff on this list would only really be needed outside of the home so maybe I’ll just keep that stuff separate for now.

Once I have a kit, I’ll also be keeping an inventory of it in my phone, including expiration dates of anything that expires. And I’ll keep a yearly reminder in my phone to check things and throw away/replenish as needed.

The largest winter storm that’s hit the desert in years, including the first blizzard warning for San Diego county in history bore down on the San Diego Backcountry this week.  A ferocious mix of driving wind, torrential rain and blinding snow tested our resilience, and preparation separated those experiencing quirky backcountry inconvenience, from those facing hardship.  Yes, preparation, the one attribute that can’t be mustered up in the face of adversity, only planned and executed in advance, is what will give us a fighting chance of getting through.

Constantine might have made a slight mistake. Just an itty bitty one. Okay maybe not an itty bitty one, but it’s not like he usually deals with Realms beings! No one deals with Realms beings if they can help it, and never willingly! 

So maybe he had been a little more drunk than usual, and maybe a tiny bit more desperate. But he’s pretty sure he didn’t do any hanky-panky with anyone. So he’s very confused as to how the fuck, he apparently has not just one, but three Realms-cores?! 

Seriously, what the actual fuck, who looked at him of all people and decided, yeah, he looks like he could be a dad?! Mom!? Whatever the fuck it is.

Dad: Where are your keys? I'm gonna go put more air in your tire.

Me: I already filled it up this week.

Dad: Oh okay.

Dad goes upstairs for a second and comes back with a bag in his hand.

Dad: Here, take this poncho and put it in your glove compartment. In case you have to pull over in the rain, put it on so other cars can see you.

So then I took my new bright ass orange poncho to my car, bypassing the three water bottles my dad had stuffed in the door pocket as well as the emergency phone battery pack charger he stuffed in another pocket.

Been seeing some "bathena is not on the cruise is a different cruise", stuff and sure it could happen... but honesty i don't answer for myself if it's the case... If the writers of 911, a show that got a new chance after what was basically a cancellation, a show that is premiering in a new network, a show that is getting a lot of promo that didn't use to... seriously if the writers of this show somehow manage to waste a perfect opportunity with their two biggest cast names characters in place for some spot on drama to start the new season on a new network, and instead misdirect the fans when it's actually a different cruise of randoms we don't care about at all, I would probably rage quit this show for real lol.

so for those who have been following our chronicles of Holy Fuck Not A Week Has Gone By Without Something Going Terribly Wrong, we had a pipe burst which cost $2300 to fix and handle the water damage before mold set in, and then the plumber found another corroded pipe and pressure problems that will be $1400 to fix to make sure this doesn't happen again in a month. at this point I'm just flat-out not going to make it through the summer without some serious help. 

(for those of you who have not: I am the sole reliable source of income in my household, my previous job broke the contract it negotiated with the union resulting in us not getting thousands of dollars of backpay we contractually should have and a class action lawsuit there will take years, we ran into $5000 unexpected extra moving costs, and my beloved 18-year-old cat nearly died last month resulting in $3600 vet bills. before. you know. a pipe burst last week.)
