The DMs reacting to Emily Axford’s dnd batshittery:
Aabria: YES!
Matt: Yes, and…
Brennan: No, but…
Murph, her literal husband: No, you absolute maniac.

I Keep Thinking Back To This
Tumblr media
Instead of immediately going to make Vaggie Charlie's girlfriend she stayed a friend and she ended up getting with Emily. Seriously, at this point Charlie has more chemistry with other characters than her goddamn love interest. You know it's funny the fact that people have issues when it's a male x female canon relationship that has no chemistry they call it a result forced so-called heterosexism but ignore it when it comes to canon LGBT couples. The problem isn't hetereosexuality, but the fact people forget to put chemistry in a relationship and assume it will wow an audience.
Tumblr media
Seriously, people were saying that it was heteronormality the reason why people shipped Charlastor over Chaggie, but then Emily happened and it showed no it ain't being homophobic but the fact that the canon relationship has no chemistry written. You don't feel like their relationship is alive compared to how she interacts with Alastor and Emily. And I don't care how much the narrative tries to push the Alastor tries to be her daddy, because that just makes even more shippers.
Tumblr media
I kind of now wish that kept Vaggie and Charlie as friends then introduce Emily in the first episodes as an ambassador from heaven who is at first infatuated with Charlie and wants to see her mission succeed. Like again she learns more about what is going on in hell and believes in Charlie's mission to make it better. Seriously, I don't know when Emily was created but this was a missed opportunity.

nothing has changed my worldview so thoroughly as Ally calling Zac a word-sniper because I think about it every single time Zac makes a joke because its so true. people were talking about how they wanted to see Matt meet chaos force Emily while dming but there is no one better he could've faced than Sniper Zac. like Brennan said in the AP Zac is the only one who, by barely speaking a sentence, can break the most talented and accomplished improvisers in the world. They can meet a force of chaos and battle it - they are POWERLESS against a sniper

in my mind, emily is on critical role cause brennan was telling matt “no you don’t understand, she’s amazing. she’s great with the narrative and at combat. she’s brilliant. she’s ruined my life on several occasions. you’ve gotta get her on your show man”

if nothing else can this 4 sided dive replace Emily's moniker as 'chaos player' with 'wingman player' because time and time again her answers show that she approaches each game by trying to figure out how best to help the party, the DM, and the story at hand.
So far she has mentioned looking at what role and stats the cast needed as her guideline to figure out what class she was going to play, her number one goal being keeping them alive and furthering Matt's lore hooks, and even being aware of what Prism said while meeting other characters so that the main PCs could choose how they portrayed what happened in the last few episodes.
Between all the shenanigans and great one-liners, the main theme is a player who is incredibly thoughtful and conscientious, ideal wingman at the table for DM and players alike

Utkarsh will go down in history as one of the Guests of All Time. Money moves only. Tells his life story off a notes app and then commences PVP and is almost instantly downed. Prompts a players regression into darkness. Has a shitload of magical items that he apparently never used. Asked Marisha for help when trying to kill them. The first PVP death.

Emily
If Vivziepop wanted to write a REAL critique of Christianity (instead of a show misrepresenting and shitting on it) she would have made Emily the main character
A demon suffering at the hands of Christianity? It's fine, but boring
A seraphim who is a devout Christian suffering at the hands of Christianity because of the hypocritical nature of some extreme Christians? SO interesting.
I thought of this listening to "You Didn't Know" from Episode 6.
"Was talk of virtue just pretension? Was I too naive to expect you to heed the morals you're purveying?" and "If Angels can do whatever and remain in the sky. The rules are shades if gray when you don't do as you say" really made me realize how great if a premise this would be.
Emily is a fucking Seraphim. She's not just extremely Christian: She's an angel. She has a reason to be naive, she grew up in paradise. She genuinely believes everyone's good because that's all she's ever known. She's never experiences hardship, and neither has anyone around her. You know she'd be furious to find out about the exterminations: "Why are "innocent" people having to suffer." She'd want to help others live the wonderful life she's lived. She might help them as an angel, but I think it'd be even more interesting for her to become a fallen angel. Imagine. She lives her whole life a perfect Christian. A perfect angel. A by-the-book girl. A rule following, Bible following good person. She tries to help people from being slaughtered and gets sent to Hell. It doesn't matter how much of a Christian she was, because she went against those in charge of Heaven (similarly to how you can be a Christian, but are ostracized if you go against the Church). She would either get Heaven to change, and be invited back into Heaven, or she would work to create a better Hell as some sort of ruler. She has infinitely more motives than Charlie, and her naivety has more reason. She would know better how to help people become better people. Emily's journey from being a well respected and influential seraphim to a disowned and ostracized fallen angel would be so interesting to see, much more interesting than the mess we got with Charlie

Prism is the ray of light my heart needs in times of darkness.
She appears in Critical Role's third campaign and is played by Emily Axford.
Based on the original character design by @agarthanguide
