Beauty and the Beast (Story)
Once upon a time, in a small, picturesque village, there lived a kind and gentle young woman named Belle. She was known throughout the town for her love of books and her beauty, but she felt like an outsider, as she yearned for more than the simple life her provincial village offered. In a nearby castle hidden deep within the forest, a curse had been cast upon the selfish and arrogant young…

Amulet and unicorn for the fantasy asks?
--@ceph-the-ghost-writer
To keep things a reasonable length, as always, I will answer one tonight and one tomorrow or Friday.
Amulet- What are some magical objects in your world?
There are a few that are specific.
Each Horseman has blades that were specifically crafted for them in the style of Demascus Steel, but with elements given to the celestial forge. Only that particular Horseman can weird them. The other Horsemen can retrieve them if dropped or knocked away, but any other beings trying to touch them will be severely burned. The blades themselves have powers related to the nature of the Horseman who wields them.
Abriella’s tiara as Queen of Imperium and Cruz’s crown as King are what give them the power to alter the Palace without actually requiring builders. The Palace is semi-sentient and those objects create a connection with it. While wearing them, Abriella and Cruz are able to restructure the Palace as needed.
The necklace and bracers that Kaylin put on after her father attacked her connected her to Lucifer. He had them crafted to allow her to siphon supernatural power from him to heal and restore her strength, knowing that one day Damien would turn on her. He is going to allow her to keep them in case she is ever threatened again when apart from Asher or him.
Deacon has obtained bracelets that will be in an upcoming chapter that will allow Yael to summon both he and Leandre. Knowing the trauma she has been through and the PTSD she is dealing with, he wants her to be assured that no matter where she is, even if they are not with her they can be in an instant. The bracelets can only be removed, once they are put on, by a combination of Abriella and Cruz, this is to keep someone (Gabriel) from being able to remove Yael's if he were able to get his hands on her. What he will not tell her, but will tell Leandre, is that hers can also be used as a location beacon should anything happen. No one trusts that Gabriel is going to give up easy.
Grae can use any glass surface in his room to watch Adalicia when he is away. That is why there is no glass in her small alcove room, to give her privacy. While he has used this in the past to keep tabs on anyone in his room because of lack of trust, with Ada it would be because of caring and concern.
The rings Kellen wears are enchanted to amplify and focus his powers. They have been passed down through the ages from one King of Uffern to another. No one is quite sure who made them or how long ago.
Talon has a ring of his mother's that will allow the wearer a connection with him where they can communicate telepathically. It also will allow him to locate the wearer in any realm in creation. He is the only one who can put it on or take it off of someone. She had it made for him to give his eventual mate. It is the only thing of his mother's he has retained.
There are others that may come up later, but those are the only ones that are currently canon.

OCtober 13: Kind
Nell, the baker's daughter, is a literal flour baby; she started out life as a sack of flour. She is kind to a fault, going so far as to offer those in need flour from her own body.
[ID: A girl made from a flour sack sits on a wooden surface, simply dressed and holding a cup of flour. Her face is stitched on and the top two corners of the flour sack are tied into "bunches".]

I remembered that time I called Fjord a skilled mage (and provided textual support) and got a handful of people in my inbox mad that I was "trying to make Fjord good at everything" (?) but more bafflingly some were mad I called him a mage.

Do you have any thoughts/information about like
Enchanting/blessing an existing object? Idk if I'm using correct terms but placing magic onto something.
I used to when I was a little more physically capable stitch sigils onto my stuffed animals and have thought about undoing stitches to hide spell jars or crystals in the stuffing (before of course redoing the stitches) so that they can be a lil magic.
But I've also like the idea of attaching spells to things like jewelry (I don't have many that have actual crystals or anything) that look cute and I'd love to use as a charm, and I also always like the idea of attaching magic to letters and gifts to wish good fortune or protection on the recipient? Blessing on shoes maybe for safe travels and avoiding injury, or similar charms on other pieces of clothing... I just wouldn't know how to go about it, especially with things I want to keep physical alterations to a minimum with.
Enchanting is the term you're looking for I believe! Stitching sigils into stuffed animals is already so creative, inventive and resourceful I can't imagine you needing my help. But I do have plenty of thoughts and maybe I can give you a bit of guidance or further inspiration!
A Rough Guide to Enchanting
When you enchant something, you are basically just transferring a spell, or specific energy onto an object so it holds a certain property.
There are any number of ways you can do this. There's probably useful methods I won't list here, haven't heard of, or haven't though of. A lot of spell methods and components can be applied here and I'll go over some of them and then how you using or mixing them might look!
Herbs - This is the first method that comes to mind when I think of enchanting. You can set out a small object in a bunch of herbs that correspond to the property you want overnight. A lot of people also put the herbs in water, which could be magical, add a candle or put the whole thing under the full moon. You can also make this method more complicated by mixing in other methods but I get into that below!
Sigils - Sigils are your best friend here. You can draw them out in smoke, water or oil. You can burn them and mix the ashes in water or oil. You can draw them onto things. Sew them into things. You can draw them on yourself, and much more. The possibilities are endless. A very simple way to give an object a property is to put a sigil on it.
Anointing - You can make a magical water or oil by setting it out under a certain moon phase or astrological event, mixing things into it it, or drawing sigils in it. Then you can anoint the item with that. You can also burn things like sigils or herbs and use the ashes in this way or in a mixture for anointing, transferring the sigil spell to the object.
Smoke - Another way to use plants and herbs, select an herb (that is safe to burn) or create a bundle of herbs and burn them to create smoke. Let the smoke envelop the item to enchant it with the property or properties of those herbs.
Elemental enchanting - If you wanted an object to generally have the properties you associate with an element, you can enchant it with that element's energy. So for example you could bury an object under the full moon to give it the Earth's energies.
Mixing methods & using other ingredients I think all the methods above can work on their own can but you can also mix them or add other ingredients! If you wanted to, you could use smoke, then anoint the item, and let it sit out overnight under the full moon in herbs/an herb mixture/or with other ingredients in a bowl besides herbs, like sigils, or even tarot cards. I love using tarot cards in spells! The possibilities are endless here. Get creative with the ingredients you use.
Petitions You can get creative with the other ingredients besides herbs or sigils but there's another component I want to suggest here, and that is petitions. I have a post about them here but basically a petition is a sort of instruction set or contract with a spell for exactly what it will do, when it will do it, and when or what will stop it. This is a great thing to include in all spells in my opinion but it's particularly good for when you need something very specific and may be useful if you want to enchant something with a property or goal that's less general or just unusual. It also may be use to give the enchantment a fuel source or a kill switch. This is what makes petitions great for all spell work!
Visualization & your own energy This is both a step you may want to include and a little more an advanced suggestion. So first of all, when you enchant or do any spell really you can visualize the energy for the enchantment going into the object and focus to raise energy to charge the spell. Another thing you can do, if you are familiar with manipulating energy is to manipulate your own into the object to charge it or connect it to you.
Some final thoughts I can see why you'd want to enchant jewelry. That's probably one of the most common things people like to enchant because you wear it all the time, ideal for warding in my opinion but anyways! I know you mentioned wanting to enchant things like clothes or accessories without altering them too much and hopefully I covered that plenty. I think creating a mixture of herbs or other ingredients and setting them out in the full moon is idea for jewelry although many of the methods I mentioned could work. Using sigils with some mixture of Theban script would be an obvious choice for letters. I made and enchanted a bookmark for my girlfriend this way. But of course some of the other methods I mentioned would work as well. I'm so into DIY that I'd probably just create a patch or draw sigils on clothing or shoes... but not everyone wants that look, y'know? You could just draw sigils on the bottoms of shoes or use magical water when you clean the shoes. You could also use smoke. We're back to the possibilities are endless!
I think all of your ideas for properties to enchant objects with are great and I hope this helps you accomplish every single one of them, if you need help don't be afraid to follow up or message me!

talked abt it earlier on discord but im so attached to this piece of deep lore that i feel compelled to share on here: agria has both a compulsive need to be working on something at all times and also a complete dearth of real supplies 90% of the time, which means she is constantly churning out absolutely useless magical items. look, seelah, i braided you a bracelet of invisibility (only the bracelet is invisible)

So I know the reason Ashley's parents have never been seen or even remotely implied to exist beyond "well she had to come from somewhere" is just because they don't really need to exist for the kind of games the WarioWare series are, but damnit I feel like making it That Deep.
Given she lives in a mansion obviously her family's pretty rich, probably old money tied to some kind of family business considering the place is old enough to be haunted. And, well, they're the Archetypical Busy Rich Parent types who are out of town a lot and will at least make sure the kid's physical and educational needs are met but are so wrapped up in their own shit that the kid's otherwise fending for themself. Which I feel would uh...explain A Lot about Ashley's personality honestly.
Technically they know about her interest in the occult, but think it's some kind of little hobby rather than a passion she's based her entire life around, and they know about Red but consider him some sort of Weird Pet because they don't really understand or care to learn how the whole Familiar thing works (that's the one thing she'll actually get defensive about with them, because even though she doesn't always treat him the best she at least sees him as a person). They definitely don't know about her working at WarioWare Inc. and hanging out with her co-workers, and she'd prefer to keep it that way.
Meanwhile the WarioWare crew don't know the full extent of what's going on with Ashley's family situation, but 5-Volt and Wario in particular are uh...Concerned, to say the least, about a number of things they have noticed, particularly Ashley and Red's behavior in certain situations and the fact that they've never heard anything from or about any sort of parents or guardians.

-- Poorly Constructed Enchanted Tool --
A small tool carved from a fruit tree seed. Energy to power the enchantment has seemingly run-out long ago, and the method of recharging is unknown - but, based on the appearance, it's very likely that this was once used for detecting magic. Usually, looking through the glass center would highlight areas of higher magical energy concentration present in the viewer's environment, even if they were otherwise obscured to the naked eye. While this form of enchantment itself is highly advanced, the craftsmanship of the item is far less neat or complex than what might be typically seen in similar devices. It may have been made as part of training/practice, or as a hasty replacement for a previous tool that had broken.
#written from the perspective of some fantasy traveler who checks all of the local thrift-stores and lost & found places for every#town they visit - looking for interesting items and documenting them or something#In reality - just another one of my goofy little avocado pit carvings lol. Still working on inlaying little stones in them and stuff#I don't really have the tools to make super intricate stuff but doing little plain swirly patterns is still fine enough lol.#WORKING ON NEW POLL ADVENTURE also I know I know it's been months.. I have been Busy and struck by the evils of summer#But like I mentioned in the previous one I do want to at LEAST finish the quest with the egg lol#ANYWAY.#Things like this would plausibly exist in Nanyevimi (my fantasy world) but wouldn't be very common as - like mentioned- this would be an#extremely advanced enchantment. REALLY advanced mages could sense magic around them (to varying degrees of pinpoint accuracy of location#) without even having to use any external device. But for a majority of people there's really no way to know someone is using magic near#you unless you either see visual proof or if it's strong enough to feel effects from it (since magic is kind of like radiation in that the#higher energy/more of it youre exposed to the more it damages you/can make you sick/etc.) and even then most people would just be like#'hmm why do I feel so nauseous and bad out of nowhere?' likely wouldn't directly think to link it to magic. Thus the only really reliable w#way isto just hone your senses over like 500 years as you become an expert mage - OR use enchantments like these. But a 'sense magic' encha#ntment is not as common as a just 'magic is not allowed here' enchantment. If you wanted to prevent magic from being usedin a space#it's easier to just put up a broad barrier enchantment around that space than to have some sort of Magic Sensor to pick out if it's being#done and then handle each individual case of it . etc. etc. These sort of things can have their uses (especially for people investigating#things or trying to be secretive about detecting something etc.) but are less common - especially in this form (where visuals are used. itd#be more likely to jsut have like 'piece of metal that gets warm or cool depending on magic nearby'.) ANWAY so this is why it's a notable#object. Though a majority of the realm is not very magic literate - if you were a researcher or a mage and found this at a pawn shop you'd#definitely be like 'oohhh!! :0 inch resting... ' if not you might just be like 'oh cool necklace!' lol#also love the quick 2min ''costume'' for the image of it being used. literally just 'wrap yourself in scarves from the waist up' and slap o#a wig and ears lol#on this blog I guess since it's worldbuilding related and technically art.. maybe more like crafting? I should have a crafts tag lol.. hmm

Wildspire Spellblades: Enchanted Broom Hand-painted by Jennifer
Sometimes a miniature is just fun. This enchanted broom appears to need eyes. I'm not sure if it is a zombie-broom or it's just blind and is groping around trying to figure out where it is. One indicates it would be vicious the other maybe just inappropriately handsy but largely non-threatening. I suppose it would depend upon the speed it can move.

I already wrote my farmer's backstory in great detail but now I feel like changing it due to mods 😭
The more I play with my current mods the more I imagine Thad moving to the valley to mess around with magic, make weird art, animating his inventions and constantly getting drunk. Not even inheriting the farm, just buying a huge amount of land to hide from the Ministry the world and try what looks like multiple branches of probably forbidden magic. And drink unholy amount of coffee... and alcohol... and probably drugs too at this point.
All while writing books on a huge variety of subjects, including apparently "stargazing in bygone civilizations", cleaning guides and guides about growing orchids. And drawing naked people. And sewing adorable plushies.
And creating artificial souls to give life to the toys made by him.
His biggest achievement throughout the first spring was growing a giant potato. That he put a tapper on for infinite potato juice. That was before that interview with the farming newspaper you get at the beginning of the game. So the giant potato was definitely a part of that interview. This save is pure chaos 🙃
Edit: He might or might have been responsible for the death of a coworker and he stealed the secret Joja recipe for Joja Cola when he left his job😭Industrial espionage gets mentioned...
He can write the Stardew's equivalent of the Bible, why? Does he plan to start a cult!?
