Enneagram Types (Part 1)
The Enneagram system consists of nine core types, and each type can have a dominant wing, which is one of the adjacent types on the Enneagram diagram. The wing adds additional nuances and characteristics to the core type.
Tumblr media
Here's a description of each Enneagram type, including their core motivations, fears, desires, and typical behaviors, along with information about their wings:
Type 1 - The Reformer: Core Motivation: Ones strive to be good, moral, and virtuous. They have a strong sense of right and wrong and seek to improve themselves and the world around them.
Core Fear: Ones fear being corrupt, immoral, or flawed. They strive for perfection and can be highly critical of themselves and others.
Core Desire: Ones desire to have integrity and to be right. They long for a sense of balance and order.
Typical Behaviors: Ones are responsible, principled, and have a strong work ethic. They tend to be self-disciplined, organized, and strive for excellence.
Wing 9 (1w9): The Idealist
Nines tend to soften the rigidity of Ones and bring a more peaceful and easygoing approach to their perfectionistic tendencies. They may be more patient, accepting, and able to see multiple perspectives.
Wing 2 (1w2): The Advocate
Twos add a caring and nurturing element to Ones. They may be more focused on helping others and may strive for perfection in service to others. They may also struggle with boundaries and a need for external validation.

Ones bring a sense of responsibility and a focus on ethics and doing what is right to Twos. They may have higher standards and may feel a sense of duty in their helpfulness.
Wing 3 (2w3): The Host/Hostess
Threes add an achievement-oriented and goal-focused aspect to Twos. They may strive to be the best at helping and seek recognition and validation for their efforts.
Type 3 - The Achiever: Core Motivation: Threes seek to be successful, admired, and accomplished. They strive for excellence and are highly driven to achieve their goals.

Wing 3 (4w3): The Aristocrat
Threes add a focus on success and achievement to Fours. They may strive to stand out in their unique way and desire recognition for their individuality.
Wing 5 (4w5): The Bohemian
Fives bring an intellectual and introspective element to Fours. They may be more withdrawn and focused on gaining knowledge and understanding their complex emotions.
Type 5 - The Investigator: Core Motivation: Fives seek knowledge, understanding, and independence. They strive to conserve their energy and protect their inner resources.
Core Fear: Fives fear being overwhelmed, invaded, or inadequate. They may worry about not having enough resources or knowledge to cope with the demands of the world.
Core Desire: Fives desire to be competent, self-sufficient, and capable. They long for space and privacy to explore their interests and pursue intellectual pursuits.
Typical Behaviors: Fives are observant, analytical, and tend to withdraw into their inner worlds. They often have a thirst for knowledge and may have a few close, trusted relationships.
Wing 4 (5w4): The Iconoclast
Fours add an emotional depth and a unique perspective to Fives. They may have a more artistic or expressive approach to their intellectual pursuits.
Wing 6 (5w6): The Problem Solver
Sixes bring a practical and skeptical dimension to Fives. They may seek security and may be more cautious and attentive to potential risks.
Remember that individuals may vary within each type, and the wings offer additional dimensions to their core motivations. The Enneagram system is a tool for self-awareness and personal growth, helping individuals understand their patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving.
Stay tune for Enneagram Types (Part 2)

CRITICAL ROLE: BELL'S HELLS (2021–) ENNEAGRAM TYPES ★
Dorian Storm – Type 3(w2): The Entertainer
Threes are attractive and charming. Ambitious, competent, and energetic, they can also be status-conscious. They are diplomatic and poised, but can also be overly concerned with their image and what others think of them. They typically have problems with insecurity and self-acceptance. Threes are often looked up to because of their graciousness and personal accomplishments. Threes enjoy motivating others to greater personal achievements than others thought they were capable of and are usually popular and well-regarded among their peers. Threes are often successful and well-liked; no matter how success is defined, threes will try to become somebody noteworthy in their family and their community – they will not be a ‘nobody.’ Consequently, threes learn to perform in ways that will garner them positive attention and praise: as children, they learned to recognize the activities that were valued by their parents or peers, and put their energies into excelling in those activities. Threes also learn how to cultivate and develop whatever about them is attractive or potentially impressive. Enneagram 3w2s tend to be sensitive people who strive for appreciation and being worthy of love. Every move they make is a high performance. They often have a great sense of humor – as long as everything is working as planned. Their strong dedication and stubbornness makes them a source of inspiration to others.

Idk when my ex started mistaking fear of losing control of others for fear of losing others but it's ridiculous lol
You want to push them away so you can reel them back in, and you act all high and mighty to hide your inferiority when you can't keep them on your fishing line anymore but you don't actually care that you lost them and continuously lose people. You're only mad that they left you because you were convinced you had them in a stronghold for sharing your abandonment issues and guilt tripping them. You're more obsessed with the "betrayal" of them leaving than the betrayal of you mistreating them into leaving. You've never once obsessively reflected on YOUR behaviors that drove people away and vowed to fix yourself/change yourself like a type 9 would, or blamed yourself and felt guilty/shame/isolation as an unhealthy type 9, because you were convinced that it didn't matter as long as you could manipulate everyone into staying, and that makes you think everyone else is broken when they don't "clearly see" the "great catch" that you are, aka the pretend-authoritarian figure in front of them.
If you cared so much about losing others more than you cared about controlling them to stay for your own stability, security, and outward validation, then you wouldn't have started the shit that you did with the confidence of thinking that you could do or say whatever you wanted and then just blame us afterward like it makes sense and we were just gonna keep going with it. And you wouldn't have been so shocked when we left, as if the actual thought/fear of us leaving hadn't crossed your mind, because you thought you had control of the situation.
This is why you're a 368, emphasis on the 8, not a type 9 lmao.

Enneagram system
A rewrite/more in depth post of the Enneagram system compared to my last post on it. Not an expert. May change later.
If you like kpop and typology, check out my blog. I do type analysis on idols and typology notes.
___
What is Enneagram?
I mainly took notes from Riso Hudson theory.
A typology system that categorizes personalities into 9 different types. Each type is numbered from 1 - 9.
Each type has a desire and fear that motivates their actions in life.
Core and Wings
Core: Our main type. It is the foundation of our personality and does not change.
Wing: Acts as a complement to our core. Wing can be one of the two types that sit beside core type. E.g a core 2 can have a 1 wing (2w1) or 3 wing (2w3). But is not necessary to use since wings can change and/or can be balanced.
Levels of Development
Summary of healthy - unhealthy levels of personality
- Healthy levels -
Level 1: Liberation
Let go of self image so we are free to express ourselves however we want. Self acceptance of all traits.
Level 2: Pyschological Capacity
Begin to identify with positive qualities in our personalities and learn to improve ourselves with them.
Level 3: Social Value
Still strongly identify with our set self image and make effort to maintain image. Want to share our good talents and abilities to make a positive effect on self and others.
- Average levels -
Level 4: Imbalance/Social roles
Idealization of self image; have a major focus on either good or bad qualities, no in between. Fear is an obstacle here.
Level 5: Interpersonal Control
Insist on self image being accepted by others, which can cause conflict. Can lead to controlling and manipulation.
Level 6: Overcompensation
Overcompensate due to underlying negative feelings. Desperate for others' acceptance.
- Unhealthy levels -
Level 7: Violation
Desperation for acceptance leads to violation of one's self and others. Serious conflict can occur. May victimize themselves to excuse offensive actions.
Level 8: Obsession and Compulsion
May be overly obsessed with an image of who they want to be. Deceives others
Level 9: Pathological Destructiveness
Most unhealthy state, display very toxic traits and behaviours, may have mental breakdown
Disintegration vs Integration
Or basically Stress vs Growth
Disintegration: When under heavy amounts of stress, a type will go into their disintegration type. They will pick up the negative traits of that type and act like the unhealthy version of it.
Integration: When maturing/developing positively, a type will go their integration type. They will pick up the positive traits of that type and improve their character.
___
* I will only give short descriptions for the triads. I will explain more in depth in individual posts.*
Centers of Intelligence
There are 3 centers of intelligence. Each center shows how and why we solve issues in life.
Gut/Instinct/Anger (types 1, 8, 9)
Gut center focuses on reacting and taking action immediately. This triad has an issue with control and anger.
1: Often perfectionists who repress their anger in order to remain morally good. They see their anger in a negative light.
8: The most open and comfortable with their anger. Uses it to assert boundaries, especially since this type fears vulnerability.
9: Often a passive type that dismisses or downplays their anger. They fear conflict and may worry being more assertive will cause a negative effect on themselves and others.
Heart/Image/Shame (types 2, 3, 4)
Heart center focuses on self identity and connections. This triad wants love and recognition and do what they believe is best to get that. They struggle with self worth.
2: They want to be needed and helpful to others. Pride themselves on being of service. Wants to receive love and to give love.
3: The most image oriented type. They always try to show their best selves and best efforts in order to seem admirable. Fears being worthless.
4: Wants to create a unique image for themselves, believes being boring will make them unloveable.
Head/Thinking/Fear (types 5, 6, 7)
Head center focuses on ideas, making rational decisions, and gathering info. This triad deals with fear and uncertainty.
5: The most internalized head type. 5's want to gather as much knowledge and resources as possible in order to stay secure and independent.
6: Quite an anxious type who seeks security through relations with others.
7: This type fears pain and suffering and seek out experiences in order to avoid negativity.
___
Other triads
- Harmonic Triads -
How types handle conflict, coping mechanism
Reactive (4, 6, 8)
Reactive types are not afraid to show and speak about their true feelings. They may seem "dramatic" in a way.
4: Melodramatic and self absorbed in negative feelings, drowns in intensity
6: Will argue, stick up for the right thing, moody, anxious
8: Big and loud reactions, can be very fiery
Positive (2, 7, 9)
Positive types dislike negativity and conflict and have their own ways of avoiding such tension. Optimistic during hard times.
2: Actively tries to be a good and kind person, only tries to focus on the good aspects of people
7: Seeks out fun opportunities to make their life exciting (basically distraction)
9: Values harmony and peace, will not risk any type of action that will disturb these values
Competency (1, 3, 5)
Competent types are often perfectionists who want to show their best selves. Objective and rational.
1: Strives to be correct and right, wants to be precise in what they do
3: Represses softer emotions to keep up a certain image, thrives with work/passions so they can be the best at what they do
5: Detached from feelings to remain logical and objective, knowledge seeking
- Hornevian Triads -
Relationships with others, how they get what they want
Assertive (3, 7, 8)
Assertive types go against people to get what they want. Do not back down easily, can seem aggressive and forceful.
3: Pushes through obstacles for achievements, goal oriented
7: Asserts their right to have fun, refuse to be restricted
8: Asserts power and strength, places boundaries
Withdrawn (4, 5, 9)
Withdrawn types are very internalized and do not show their needs openly. Deals with things alone.
4: Feels something is wrong with them internally, feels misunderstood
5: Detached from others as to not drain their own energy, will figure it out themselves
9: Introspective, lets life happen
Compliant (1, 2, 6)
Compliant work with people to get what they want. Builds relationships for security, wants to be helpful to others.
1: Doing the right thing instead of one's own wants
2: Focus on other's needs more instead of self
6: Tries to build a safe and secure environment by getting ppl to work together
- Object Relations -
How we are affected by others, our own affect on others, how we react to personal wounds
Attachment (3, 6, 9)
Seek out bonds and companionships for particular reasons. Individuality vs adaptation.
3: Changes their image to suit whoever they are with in order to meet expectations
6: Creates support systems to help with their self doubt and indecisiveness
9: Adapts to the energy of the environment to keep harmony

1: Has a need to improve every little imperfection they find
4: Dislikes shallowness, longs for depth and complexity
7: Not enjoying experiences, not feeling fulfilled
Rejection (2, 5, 8)
Their own needs feel unimportant to others, so they reject their own needs as well.
2: Rejects the need to receive love and guidance, instead focuses on connecting with others and helping them.
5: Ignores and minimizes all their needs, offers knowledge and expertise in some hope of being acknowledged for their intelligence.
8: Rejects by being never putting their guard down, wanting to appear strong and as the protector of others.
___
Subtypes
Claudio Naranjo theory
There are three subtypes/instinctual variants that show our drive in life. There are 27 different subtypes in total.
Self Preservation (Sp)
Focuses on physical safety and security. Our physical health, financial security, obligations, and comforts.
Sexual/One - on - one (Sx)
Wants intensity and deep connections, one on one relationships are preferred.
Social (So)
Prefers to be in a community, wants to create good connections and bonds with others. Socially aware, focus on group goals and contributions.
___
Tritype
Katherine Fauvre theory
A minor but still interesting piece of Enneagram. Tritype is formed of your 3 dominant types from each center. The first number will always be your core, followed by your other 2 dominant types.
E.g 369. 3 = core, heart. 6 = head. 9 = gut.

wackus helpppp how do you decide which enneagram characters are you're the enneagram person help meeeee
hello empress you have come to the right place!! you know i cannot shut up about the enneagram esPECIALLY when it comes to fictional characters hehe!
Tumblr media
it's actually pretty straightforward imo. a character needs 3 key elements to be good; a desire, a fear, and a flaw. the enneagram gives us all of that, making it a perfect tool for character building.
type 1 - the reformer (marinette & kagami)
core desire: to be good, right, better, perfect core fear: being evil/ corrupt/ wrong flaw: judgemental, critical (esp of themselves)
type 2 - the helper (nino & sabrina)
core desire: to be loved core fear: being unwanted, unloved, unworthy flaw: manipulative, coercive
type 3- the achiever (chloe & lila)
core desire: being valuable, worthwhile core fear: being worthless flaw: exploitative, deceptive, narcissistic
type 4 - the individualist (gabriel, zoe)
core desire: identity, significance core fear: being insignificant, oblivion, the void flaw: dramatic, melancholic
type 5 - the investigator (felix, max)
core desire: knowledge, understanding, being competent core fear: being incapable or incompetent flaw: reclusive, unemotional
type 6 - the loyalist (roland, mylene)
core desire: being secure, stable core fear: crisis, chaos flaw: suspicious, paranoid
type 7 - the enthusiast (adrien, kim)
core desire: experience, fulfillment core fear: deprivation, missing out flaw: impulsive, materialistic
type 8 - the challenger (alya, majestia)
core desire: autonomy core fear: being harmed, controlled flaw: dominating, confrontational
type 9 - the peacemaker (luka, master fu)
core desire: harmony core fear: conflict, separation from others flaw: self-forgetting, indolent
of course a character can have more desires, fears, and flaws than just these! the enneagram will just be a jumping off point for you. for example, knowing a type 9 character yearns for peace with everyone, fears separation, and can't say no to anybody can also extend into further study. they can't say no, so they become detached from their friends and family so they don't HAVE to say no, then end up not being there for them when it's important. and boom there you go, character conflict 👉🏼👉🏼thank you enneagram!
i hope this helps you and makes your characters sparkle off the page 💖 please don't ever hesitate to send me more enneagram asks 😍 you know i am obsessed.

Higgs Monaghan's MBTI + Enneagram Typology (pt. 2)
Tumblr media
(disclaimer: this is my opinion based on deep character study, eight or so years of special interest in typology, and subjective interpretation. if you wanna argue, good luck finding my PDB. friendly debate is fine.)
MBTI: ENTP (Ne-Ti-Fe-Si)
Enneagram: 7w8
Instinctual Variant: sx/sp
Tritype: 782
(part one: mbti deep dive)
(Sam analysis)
As an ENTP, Higgs is right at home in enneagram 7. However, he's an interesting flavor of ENTP 7, due to his sexual instinctual variant, 8 wing + secondary fix, and emotional center in 2. Let's start with the basics.
Enneagram 7 Overview Basic Fear: Of being deprived and trapped in pain Basic Desire: To be happy, satisfied, to find fulfillment Fixation: Planning Trap: Idealism Passion: Gluttony
Deprived and trapped in pain, huh? Considering Higgs' backstory as an abused child locked away from the outside world, forcefully told there was no life outside the four walls of his home, denied the ability to explore and discover, punished for basic curiosity, this makes perfect sense. Higgs experienced extreme repression of his natural instincts, denial of his basic emotional and psychological needs, and had no means to escape the constant abuse he suffered. Remember, the common belief is that one's MBTI type is innate, while enneagram theory hinges on the acquisition of negative traits stemming from warped self-beliefs manifested by the impact of inevitable social oppression and possibly even trauma. The enneagram dips closer to psychology and sociology than MBTI (still pseudoscience tho, Naranjo was a hack and is very worthy of criticism) and thus is a lot more logical in its foundations. Hence, I strongly believe that any MBTI type can be any enneagram, due to the breadth of human experience, it's just a matter of conflicting cognition and instincts. Don't fight me on this one, y'all, I'm working on my sociology B.A., I can go back and forth all day about this stuff. I'm gonna get banned from PDB any day now for the arguments I get into.
It's not hard to understand why "be happy and fulfilled" became the crux of Higgs' pursuits. Enneagram 7 takes this most basic human desire, "be happy," and crafts it into an obsession. Until they overcome their fix and passion, 7 will never be satisfied. (cough cough, intelligent eyes in a hunger-pang frame... ahem. sorry, sorry, something stuck in my throat there. moving on.)
Enneagram 7 treats life as one grand stage, where anything can happen if you just want it badly enough. Thus, 7 is hedonistic, rebellious, undisciplined in one way or another, driven towards wish fulfillment, egotistical, persuasive, and extremely seductive, with some variants of 7 exhibiting charlatanism and fraudulence.
Sexual 7
Instinctual variants are the result of the enneagram type's passion invading an area of the social life and self, dominating its expression. There are three realms here: sexual (not always explicitly in the adult sense, this refers to one-on-one relationships, intimacy, etc), social, and self-preservation.
So, obviously sexual 7 is the result of gluttony + the sexual instinct. sx7 traits include: talkativeness, grandiosity and exaggeration, exhibitionism of personality and style, invasive tendencies, brazen audacity, obliviousness, magical thinking, relationship difficulties, self-indulgence, hypersensitivity, anti-hierarchical escapism, and intolerance for frustration.
Put simply, sx7 has their head in the clouds. Ichazo nicknamed this subtype "suggestibility." Although I really dislike Naranjo, he made an excellent point when he said, "The sexual seven is not earthly, but heavenly. He is not interested in the things of this world. It is the gluttony of the things of a higher and more advanced world. The sexual E7 is what we could call a dreamer[...] His passion is to dream, to go towards the sweetness of the imagined instead of contacting the ordinary and not so interesting reality."
Higgs is a showman. He paints everything in metaphor, in literature, in poetry, in history, in performances and masks and shadow theater. When captured in the literal view, Higgs' life is one tragedy after another, with no rhyme or reason, no grand answer to "why me," no satisfying conclusion to make an adoring audience cry for him. In the meta, fourth-wall breaking sense, the player becomes that for him. He looks us in the eye and asks, "Isn't this what you've been waiting for this whole time?" and prances around putting on a good show as we give him the attention and recognition he craves; we observe, we react, and a few of us see him. For a few moments, we live in his tragedy, we smile at his one-liners, we laugh at his bad behavior, and in those precious moments, he isn't alone. He's still at it, winking at the camera in the DS2 trailer when he quips about porters having to pull the trigger sometimes, a sly little, "I know what you did. You're not better than me. You get it."
But let's peel back that layer. Higgs is a mask. Let's talk about Peter.
Yeah, Peter, who was destroyed time and time again by his stubborn drive to believe, no matter how many times it got him hurt, nearly killed, even. Peter, who believed his way into stepping into a new world with a new sky. Peter, who believed his way into becoming a terrorist. Peter, who believed his way into Amelie's puppet master hands. Peter, who believed until the moment the carrot was snatched away and he met the stick face-first. Peter, the child whose only crime was being curious, became a grown man with his dreams shattered entire, with no innocence left to call his own, no one to save him, and no way out. So what was there to do but construct new dreams, nightmares made ideal, to build anew an image of himself as "the bridge that brings the extinction" in service of a greater power? Dreamer turned apostle, Saint Peter having the faith that he could walk on water. Except Amelie didn't pull him out when he sank. (Sam did, but that's a completely different conversation.)
Higgs built up a world of magic, because his real life was tragic, and in the end, Amelie forced him to bury the castle.
sx7 traps themselves in false hope, breezing through the world with witty speeches, talking, talking, talking, coasting by on charm and an energetic demeanor to mask their anxiety. This is right at home in the possibility-obsessed, silver-tongued ENTP, but the sensitivities of sx7 soften the ENTP personality quite a bit, amplifying their vulnerabilities and making them all too easy to manipulate. This is a personality that needs someone to protect them, and to teach them to protect themselves, which Higgs never had. Coffin tried, but fate had other ideas, and she became another loss upon his shoulders.
Self-Preservation 7 (secondary)
Now, on PDB, almost everyone has voted Higgs as sx/so, and I get why, but I believe Higgs is very social-blind and not countertype. The last instinct in a stack is a personality's blind spot, their weak point, the thing they struggle with, try to ignore, and overcompensate for. For Higgs, that's the social instinct. The self-pres and social instincts are conflated a lot in 7, due to this type’s inherent need for outward validation; their cool exterior conceals fear of inferiority and deprivation. 7 is arguably the most extroverted of the enneagram thus their self-preservation needs are heavily dependent on the presence of other people and having a clear role within a group. They often create family units and can appear similar to the so8 via their proclivity for creating a “tribe” for themselves, a group they nurture and in turn are protected by. Thus, sp7s are characterized as defenders in spite of their obvious self-interest. sx/sp 7s are often warm, charismatic people. Combined with an 8 fix, they're quite intense. In a well-read ENTP, this is a personality that could sell ice in the Arctic, and people gravitate towards their ability to sell their dream. "Together, we'll carry packages from sea to shining sea."
Many of Higgs’ deeper issues can be explained through the aforementioned developed Fe + social-blindness + a 2 fix in his emotional center. Having grown up completely isolated from the world, there’s no way he could be anything but soc-blind. His self-sacrifice is cognitive compensation for social deficiency and expression of a moral righteousness generated by his sx7-driven idealism, not an instinctual social egotism and rejection of gluttony. More on this when we get to his 2 fix. sp7 is the closest of the 7 variants to the literal definition of gluttony. They yearn for indulgence in every way.
Now, let's talk about that 8 wing and tritype secondary fix
Enneagram 8 is known for its aggression before all else, and it has a strong pull on any personality that has it in their wing or tritype. The 7w6 is flighty, much more risk-averse, and they work to satisfy their gluttony by seducing others into feeding their cravings for them, holding back to explore all possibilities, and they seek assurance that they're making the right choices, whereas 7w8 knows what they want and they'll take it if they have to. The 8 wing adds a heavy-handed, decisive edge to the 7 personality; 7w6 pushes back when the world closes in on them, 7w8 pushes forward against the world to make sure they're never restricted to begin with. Thus, the sx7 with an 8 wing displays much more sexual aggression (licking people!) and is inclined to show dominance. They're self-protective, they don't like to share their toys, and they won't let anyone take what's theirs. See: "gonna make [Sam] regret ever fucking with me and mine." This makes the 7w8 a powerful protector, a fierce enemy... and a nervous wreck prone to covering up fear with violence, anger, and provocation. This sort of aggression is a tendency in the standard 7w8, but with an 8 fix added to the tritype, it becomes a leading trait. This is particularly interesting in an ENTP, as they aren't typically aggressive by nature; they seek conflict for entertainment's sake, without malice, looking to test people and expand their own worldview through discourse. The ENTP 7w8 with an 8 tritype fix, on the other hand, takes up stronger convictions, greater stubbornness, and an impatience for people who won't bend to their whims. They often go looking to convince people they're right, getting frustrated when they aren't heard. ("You just don't get it, do you?") Further, when 8 invades the sexual instinct, secondary to a 7 fix, you get a personality that wants to possess the hearts and minds of their closest loved ones, fears abandonment, would die to protect one of their own, and knows better than to bite the hand that feeds.
Finally, the tertiary 2 fix
Enneagram 2 is a nurturer. 2 generously gives of themselves, constantly fixating on everyone else's needs. This is a personality that would give another person the shirt off their own back if they asked. Important thing to understand: their help isn't free. They might say it is, but 2 unconsciously expects to be rewarded and praised for helping others. Overall, this fits well with Higgs' secondary instinctual alignment in sp7. 7 fears being deprived, while 2 fears that no one appreciates them, and they mask this insecurity with a show of humility and an insistence that they were merely doing the right thing. They reason that if they meet everyone else's needs, their own needs will be taken care of in reciprocity. Meanwhile, they minimize those needs, making themselves as small and convenient as possible, denying they have needs at all. With an sx/sp alignment and a secondary 8 fix, this becomes a push-pull internal conflict between "I don't need anything, really" and "Give me what I need or else." I firmly believe that part of why Higgs' betrayal of Fragile was so malicious was a subconscious urge to punish her for not being... you guessed it... what he needed.
Let's go back to the point from post no. 1 about Higgs having highly developed Fe. In his youth, every time Higgs found himself in a new social situation, he responded with skepticism and instinctual aversion to social connection. It took time and persuasion for him to warm up to the idea of group politics; he’s only convinced when he realizes he’s needed and stands to have his own needs fulfilled in turn. Most people try to place Higgs' emotional center in enneagram 4 (which, when modulated by the sx-instinct and an 8 wing, can get downright nasty due to the fixation with envy and the aggression of 8) but frankly... I think that's lazy analysis.
Higgs’ initial reluctance to accept his DOOMS for what it was and subsequent secretiveness about killing to maintain it for his own survival screams 2. Higgs doesn’t self-victimize or wish to be special. Rather, he conceals his own needs and justifies his actions through a belief that he’s undertaking a selfless path. (“I’m an altruist now, I live to help other people[…] Community’s what it’s all about.”) He needs the world to need him and deteriorates when his role is threatened. In his time leading the West, people loved him and relied on him, but that wasn’t enough for him. Because he’s soc-blind and sx-dom, he only feels truly seen, fulfilled, and appreciated when he has attention and approval through a one-on-one relationship, such as with Coffin, Fragile, Amelie, etc., and he obsessively pursues the same recognition from Sam. (It’s worth acknowledging this is also indicative of disordered attachment, anxious-avoidant type.) When he fails, he falls back on the self-pres instinct, so… pizza, anyone?
Amelie initially lured him with the deceptive promise of enough power to create the better, freer, fairer world he was striving for. In his mind: save the world = save himself. Can’t save the world? Can’t save himself, time to take the whole thing down with him and call it mercy. That’s an unhealthy 2 heart center, believing he can only meet his own needs by rescuing everyone else, projecting his own turmoil onto others. He convinces himself he’s doing the right thing, giving the world what it needs. While his thirst for wide-scale justice is genuine, he exhibits an intense craving for attention, intimacy, and recognition, becoming suddenly naive and vulnerable when someone offers what he lacks. Conversely, he’s antagonistic, aloof, aggressive, and ego-defensive when his needs are denied or threatened.
Conclusion
Higgs' most basic of needs were denied from a young age, and as an ENTP, he's inherently driven to hedonism, has a need for an intellectual playmate/trustworthy equal, and craves a balance between novelty and safety, so he’s gluttonous towards intimate relationships and a sense of security. His sx7 alignment means he dreams big and loud, constructing kingdoms in his mind and a personal narrative where he's the hero in shining armor, free to explore the world as he wishes and save it while he's at it. His sp7 secondary means he thirsts for his own means of survival and the assurance of it, going out of his way to endear himself to others and become indispensable to guarantee that survival. His 8 fix means he's assertive, strong-willed, aggressively self-protective, and highly possessive of anything he views as "belonging" to him. His 2 fix means he needs others to need him, needs to feel important in his loved ones' lives, needs to have his efforts rewarded, needs a larger role to fulfill, and most of all, needs to know that he's allowed to need things. As an sx7, he's comfortable with wanting things, but that 2 fix means needs are unacceptable for him to express.
Becoming Higgs—embodying a self-righteous, pharaoh-inspired persona—was the only way he could cope with the injustice and deprivation he suffered. (Coffin: “There was such a fear in him, but beneath that a terrible anger[…] That poor boy…”)
Mature-but-unhealthy ENTP 782 at its finest. Feet on the ground, head in the clouds. In conclusion, I want to fuck him so bad it makes me look stupid. What a man.

Enneagram Types of the PJO original trio
These are the same in the books and the show but I'm going to use the show as evidence because things are more obvious in it (From an Enneagram 8w9, which is what everyone is typing Percy as)
Percy - Enneagram 6 - Desires stability
wants to belong
surrounds himself with people that he trusts (Grover, Sally, Luke)
lashes out at the people he doesn't trust (Annabeth, or even Nancy and Gabe)
a lot of people think he's an 8, but 8s are all about projecting strength, and if he were about that he would've got Annabeth back for using him in Capture the Flag because she made him look SO WEAK. When he chose her for the quest, he kept bringing up how she might betray him, aka she's a threat to his stability. Also, when he gets in trouble for pushing Nancy, he would've argued his way out of expulsion, but he holds back because he doesn't trust the school to understand
Grover - Enneagram 9 - Desires peace
always getting along with everyone
UM THE CONSENSUS SONG
very very empathetic
has wing 8 qualities because he is very protective of his friends
Annabeth - Enneagram 3 - Desires worthiness
"If we call for help, we're basically saying they made a mistake in choosing us." (Percy's response to this is also proof that he isn't an 8 bc he would've told her she was wrong instead of accepting that someone made a mistake)
has waited for a quest FOREVER because she has to prove herself to her mom, who has made her feel like she's unworthy of her attention and her praise, so Annabeth has to do all these things to get it
"the most formidable demigod child", she's worked VERY hard to build that reputation
used Percy to win Capture the Flag, once again proving herself as greater than she really thinks she is
If you need more proof, these numbers are all connected. In stress, 6s take on the negative traits of 3s, so Percy would become competitive ("I was thinking of pushing Nancy in the nearest dumpster."). In stress, 3s take on the negative traits of 9s, so Annabeth would become apathetic, which shows in her reaction to Percy suggesting they leave her hat at Medusa's. It's such a crucial situation and it's very stressful, so she doesn't say anything about it because she's afraid it will steer them away from her goal. In stress, 9s take on the negative traits of 6, so Grover becomes worrisome, which shows when he gets Percy in trouble and when Percy and Annabeth are arguing.
Anyway, those are just my thoughts :) <3

Most assertive types (378) are not badass go getters, they are broke clowns who live in a fantasy world of their grandiosity whilst their real life rots around them. None of you who write anything about the assertive triad have lived in reality. You see the assertive triad like some sort of mythological legend instead of real people. It’s fucking insufferable.

🥇ᴇɴɴᴇᴀɢʀᴀᴍ 3 : ᴛʜᴇ ᴀᴄʜɪᴇᴠᴇʀ
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
adults didn't celebrate or acknowledge who they were as a kid, the adults only celebrated , acknowledged the child's success, achievements or a really good performance. As a consequence the child started to build their sense of worth solely around how good they could perform & their achievements because these were the only ways they could earn validation from the adults. But the adults were never fully satisfied with the kid & the kid could never earn complete validation because adults were validating only how well the child performed and not for who they actually were & only seem to want more out of the kid. Like E1 kids, E3 kids are also likely to be the Golden child or The Hero of the family. The kid understands very early in life that whatever they do in life they have to do it very well and succeed.
It's likely that E3 kids have a deep emotional bond with the "nurturing figure" ( often mother ) who they strive to be validated by during childhood, they want to be praised, valued by that person and subconsciously adjust themselves for to earn that. The expectations of the "nurturer" may or may not be directly expressed, nevertheless the child will internalize those expectations & act accordingly without even noticing e.g. E3 child of a mother who is a doctor but wanted to become an artist may be inclined to do art & have the desire to excel in it ( regardless of how much the kid actually likes art).
E3 kids may develop extreme anger, resentment, hostility overtime if the "nurturing figure" is unhealthy because the child grows up feeling "nothing I ever do is enough for them" . As an adult they will face issues related to their unmet needs of being seen, heard, valued, appreciated for who really they were when they were a child. They may become an adult who disassociated from themselves and had to suppress their true desires in order to survive

Misconceptions About Type 3
In general, I think the image types are hard for people to conceptualize. Being heart last is more common than being heart first (or probably even heart second). 3 descriptions can fall short, but outside perhaps being geared a bit too much towards the social instinct, 3s and 3 fixers who don't see themselves in 3 are more often in denial of their 3 traits than misinterpreting the descriptions (or assuming subtype descriptions are all encompassing).
3s are hardworking, type A individuals who push themselves to be the very best: This description is definitely fitting for some 3s, but is not a requirement for being a 3 core or even a 3 fixer. As an image type who uses external merits to derive worth, this type can fall into the pattern of wanting to "look good" or maintain an image even when they do not have the skills or energy to actually maintain that image. Wanting to do as little as possible to get what you want, control your self image, or maintain what you wish to maintain isn't anti-3 nor even uncommon with type 3. A 3 might not even want to be "the very best" as much as it just wants something to "prove" their own worth or something that they can tie to their self image that is good. Being "above average" but realistically understanding that you cannot be the best is still a 3 oriented sentiment.
Type 3 specifically wants to look good and will do anything to maintain their image: Again, this can fit some 3s but misses describing others. 3 influence (and in general, strong heart influence) seeks to control their image both in how they are perceived and how they perceive themselves to be. For 3s especially, this is based on traits that are seen as valued to them, will help them to reach their goals/get them what they want, or will be valued by others. If the 3 values being, say, intimidating, or are consistently getting pigeonholed into being seen as something they have no control over, the image they present or the self they cultivate may not be what is typically described as appealing or even good. If the 3 is constantly labeled as "lazy, villainous, or cruel," a 3 could integrate these traits into their presentation purely to provide a false sense of control over their own image. 3s may even find it appealing when others are disturbed or repulsed by them, as it bolsters that they are what they value. There is always an external tie of course, but this tie is not always a conscious one. On the other side of things, 3s are not necessarily immoral, unconcerned for their relationships, and willing to entirely throw their principles away for what they desire. Morality and principle are something that most people have regardless of type. While 3 cares about the image and their presentation, they still care that they are something that they can see as having worth. Being someone who only cares about how they're perceived and cannot match that with how they truly are is something many 3s struggle with and particularly moral or principled 3s aren't going to give up on morality, especially if being good and having a strong sense of reliability and moral code is how they view themselves to be. It's also worth noting that not every 3 is actually good at knowing how things will come across (even if they are oriented around their image), there's a lot of 3s that lack awareness of how their behavior actually gets interpreted by others and will actively make themselves look terrible.
3s only do things for the sake of their image: This is a common sentiment expressed by 3 fixers who will defend not being a 3 influenced when they mistype as 5, especially if they are academically oriented or enjoy learning/researching. 3s and those influenced by it are especially attuned to what is valued. In this example, intellect, being a lifetime learner, and being useful/self sufficient are all things that are both socially valued and things that people tend to like in general. 3s have interests too and, as assertive types, are connected to what they want. 3s will also go after what they want and what they genuinely enjoy because they enjoy it. They will often do it in a way that will bolster their self worth and has some (often unintentional, unconsciously set up) tie to the external, but like every type not everything is exclusively to feed the fixation.
3s are prideful and shameless: Oh they will certainly present this way, but the majority of 3s will be pretty connected to their sense of shame. It's kind of the same thing that happens with 9, as the 9 archetype is often depicted as being very disconnected from anger to the point of lacking awareness of it, but in reality most 9s struggle heavily with passive aggression and internal anger. 3s are often just as aware and connected to their internal insecurity and desire to be worth something as they are of their prideful, arrogant nature. 3s are ones that will overestimate their own own abilities, but many are painfully aware and moved by not being good enough or feel as though they are behind in some way.
Sp 3s are [insert countertype/Naranjo description]: I usually don't go directly after Naranjo or countertype, but the big thing I've noticed that this particular description is missing sp3s connection to the assertive triad and over eliminates the image orientation. This description is consistent with the way a lot of sp3s see and try to present themselves, as sp does remove a bit of the external orientation 3 typically has and brings emphasis on trying to generate a strong sense of self worth through competition with the self. For those typing exclusively off of the descriptions though, it's worth noting that these descriptions tend to also strongly resembles the 6 mindset. Even if this type often will take issue with their own image orientation and often does present and think of themselves as "anti-vanity" or even genuine, every image core will be focused on image, presentation, and identity as is typical of the heart triad.

🌷👹Alex = ENTJ📈🏆
Btw these headcanons are heavily inspired plus agreeable to @/cornedbread’s headcanons to Alex
- Alex is possibly a Deep thinker, sometimes dissociating a bit or would stare blankly. [*N**/Intuition]
- He’s possibly an abstracted and drastic creature to create something so ridiculous, intriguing and as well as… Life threatening. [Intuition]
- Strategic and unpredictable, like how in his true form he waits for the perfect moment to pounce. [Dom Te -> Aux Ni -> Ter Se]
- He has NO EMPATHY to others at all and lacks personal concerns, but interestingly he has an “intimate friendship” with Dolly. Since Real Alex known her and so is she. [Inf Fi + SO/SX + Choleric]
- Power hungry and authoritarian in secret. There’s a hidden thirst for order and the strong ambition of achievement (A goal we possibly have not known about yet). As said or mentioned by Scrina. [ Enneagram 3 + SX8 ]
- Likewise, they’re fascinated by the wonders of biology and zoology. It’s either something sinister or “lighthearted” if he would look at some organism. Just curiously keeping an eye… Even aware of its actions. [ Enneagram 5 + Ni-Se ]
- Although mostly aggressive, he finds joy in things like biology/zoology, nature, aloe vera, and right awnsers. It’s not just that though. [ Secondary Sanguine ]
Conclusion:
ENTJ (The Commander)|| 3w4 - SO/SX - 385 || Choleric-Sanguine || SLOEI
Tumblr media
Alex is an ENTJ, The Commander type.
ENTJ’s are highly strategic, intelligent and influential people able to create, plan and lead. ENTJ’s by strength can be very caring and supportive of ideas, but as for an Unhealthy version can be aggressive and controlling.
(Abbreviation; Extroverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging.)
Along with 3w4 “The Proffesional”, SO-SX, 385 “The Solution Maker” as his enneagram, instinct and tritype;
Social 3’s appear to try and take a liking from others by first glance, and it appears to be a manipulative approach later on(*Unhealthy 3), they gain admiration and recognition for either achievements, charm or so on.
Then here, Sexual 8 craves possession, power and control, which could mean both head(3) and heart(8) are unpredictably cunning, and it’s dangerously lurking inside of him ambiguously.
By gut, 5/Five’s are curious, private and intelligent individuals, so by action Alex decides to let Olivia explore as she walks, almost unheard, for a chance to either catch her or trap her in his realm. It’s also his sense of hiding his physically true form, securing that reality from within.
His temperament is just pure wrath and sadistic joy, he takes pleasure from beating up Scrina to make her do as he says, successfully taking control of a whole entire school. And, Olivia getting an awnser wrong is intended for him to devour her whole. Though “lighthearted” joy is usually established from aloe vera(?), biology/zoology and possibly Dolly.
Besides his other traits; Social, Limbic, and Organized, He possibly possesses an Ego, not pun intended, but he really does set himself high in a low profile as a Teacher. And other hand possibly inquisitive, as he’d borrow an idea to create effective motives on going. But I also like to think that he got heavily inspired by two teachers, since they’re somewhat in the same universe.
That is to make inquisitive in SLOE-“I” a strong proof.
Other notes/Trivia:
- Alex is easily mistaken for an ENTP “The Debater” type for Fandom Portrayal, and ISFP “The Adventurer” type or INFJ “The Advocate” for his fascination for Biology and Zoology.
- It’s likely Real Alex is an ISFP/INFJ. Given by links and such.
- Although 3w4 is now a confirmed type, there are times where Alex seemed SX1 (The Reformer/The Zealous) for the fact he, like Baldi would teach the player solo, and it’s possibly preferable to him.
- Another reason for Alex to be mistaken for an ENTP is his Temperament, Instinct, and possibly his attitude. (*Which I’m yet to study and learn of)
- Overall, Alex likely has an Unhealthy/Immature Personality. Possibly because of his Morality (True Evil).
Fix:
Limbic = SLOEI - Upon reading the wikipedia more, it’s determined that he’s more of a Limbic rather than Calm. As Alex appears to be aggressive and as well assertive, than his stoic demeanor which is a façade.
Refrences:

I have no fucking idea what my enneagram is. At first I was SURE I was a 3w4, then a 1w2, then a 3w2, then a 6w7, then a 1w2 again, and now I'm like a 4w3?? The fuck? At first e4 was one of the types I related to the least. What is happening.
