i want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart who's ever tagged me in their posts! i can't put it into words how grateful i am for having such talented, sweet people around me that wanted to share their beautiful creations with me. i cherish them all and i hope yapping in my tags conveyed that. Honestly i could talk about them in great lengths (and mostly i did...) so this is why i feel like i think its right time to wrap this up - i feel bad when i can't sit down, talk my ass off and give my full attention to each and every single post. Sadly i don't think its possible for me to do it now which is why i am writing all this, with a tear in my eye honestly. I checked and saw i have 925 (and counting!) posts in this tag and first of all - that is CRAZY! I am so grateful you have no idea. I really, really cherished this little corner of the internet that i called my own so this is all bittersweet but i think it's for the best! Part 1/4 “Who fucking told him?” Remus yells, shoving Sirius against the wall and jabbing his wand into his neck.

James is terrified. Nobody has ever seen Remus this furious, sure, he gets irritated or snappy, but not like this. He’s been released from the Hospital Wing after two days trapped in there and no one’s told him who told Snape.

It wasn’t a conscious decision that the three of them made, it’s just what happened. That’s not to say that James and Peter aren’t distancing themselves from Sirius, this meeting was actually unplanned. They’d been walking to the Great Hall when they saw Sirius being shoved against the wall by Remus.

They trade worried looks and hurry forward. Peter grabs Remus by the arm and gently drags him back.

Remus wrenches his arm away and he eyes the three of them suspiciously. “I want to know who told Snape how to get past the fucking tree.”

Sirius’ face is ghostly pale and he looks ready to vomit. He opens his mouth, presumably to confess but James beats him to it.

“I did.”

Remus blinks at him. "You did?"

James swallows harshly and nods. "I'm really sorry-"

Remus tucks his wand into the waist band of his pants and steps forward, hitting James with a right hook to his jaw.

"Stay the hell away from me, Potter." Remus hisses before turning on his heel and walking away.

Peter and Sirius are both staring at him, agape. There are unshed tears glistening in Sirius' eyes and James has never hated him, not close, but the anger he feels in that moment scares him.

"Why'd you do that?" Sirius whispers.

"I did it for him, not you. Remus deserves to trust you, even if he shouldn't." James says, sharply.

Sirius averts his gaze and nods slightly.

Peter puts an arm around James' shoulders. "Come on mate, I'll find an ice pack for your face."

the marauders fandom needs to remember that atyd isnt canon and most marauders era characters dont have canon personalities or houses (or even friendships) so no one is 'mischaracterizing' their favs. also that regulus did way less than what yall give him credit for and what he did do ended up hindering harrys search for the horcruxes even if he had good intentions + the reason why he defected isnt confirmed and it could very well be that he has a pureblood ideology but simply drew the line at horcruxes.
