Despite having spent a lot of time in airports, I don't remember them much tbh, so let's see what comes to mind...

Narita Airport, Japan. It has a Pokémon Center in it. 'nuff said.

Kansai International Airport, Japan. Shoutout for being easily accessible to and from good places to stay at in Osaka.

Brussels Airport Zaventem, Belgium. I don't actually love the long path of duty free shops it makes you go through before reaching the gates, but the gate area is nice. Also, this is kind of an annoyance but it makes me laugh every time, it makes you go through a sort of maze of stairs or something to get to the luggage carrousel on arrival (basically you feel like you're running in circles through different levels iirc lol) and I just find that funny.

...I actually don't remember the other airports I've been through enough to rank them. It's been too long 😅

I wanna be a chill person and I totally don't engage with stuff when I disagree with it -I just scroll by. I tell myself this is not serious enough for you to be so anal about esp when it's regarding shipping and jikook like don't be the fun police. But deep down I know at my core that's what i am. You know what I do when I see stuff I don't agree with or rubs me the wrong way? I block the account 🤭 Honestly, even for like the smallest things. Cause I get annoyed and anal about dumb stuff too, but precisely because it is shipping and jikook, I do whatever I can to make my time online as pleasant as possible.

As to your issue, it's hilarious. Yes, Jungkook operates like a broke ass millionaire. And you know what? If they hadn't used a company card, then jikook were stupid. I'm 100% sure everything was under company expenses and good for them. Jimin and Jungkook secured for themselves three trips (of which two were international) under the guise of work just so they can be able to travel before enlistment. Why should they spend their own money? Good for them, they're smart. (You think that 5-storey mansion in Itaewon paid for itself?, lol)

Anyway, even if the card and the cash wasn't actually Jungkook's, it is still a bit cute how he was the one handling the money. Just like in CT when he took the lead on ordering and speaking in English.

Lastly, no one likes the fun police. Especially in situations which are really not that serious. This particular thing with the money is so insignificant anyway. I mean, there's solos spreading jikook coworkers agenda (by using jikook acc). Go and police those, anon. It will probably feel better.

when maester aemon tells sam of the baby switch only after sam can't understand why gilly is still crying by saying jon's heart just hardened when sam made him lc, as if he had nothing to do with it, he gives me similar vibes to yoda's response when luke asked him if vader was truly his father, being all "rest i need now" trying to use his dying to escape the hard questions. then when yoda finally answers luke he quickly changes the subject to luke's fault in fighting vader before he was ready. i mean i understand why aemon didn't crush sam further by revealing his part in the baby swap plan and all the kill the boy shit, esp when they were all each other had by then. so i guess he can't really be blamed for that, but it is still misleading his protege and shifting blame in a pretty big way. also yoda and aemon are both the oldest naturally living characters in their stories and seen as the wisest too.

then ofc there's jaime lannister as a r-rated luke skywalker, a blond knight actually fucking his sister while knowing they're siblings, son of an evil lord, wearing white when we first meet him, seen as too impatient and hungry for adventure, and then losing his swordhand through a mistake of his father's and having to contend with a beast in a pit when trying to rescue a friend. there's also some of han solo in coming back just in the nick of time for the big rescue after first leaving his traveling companion behind for his own ends, with all that character growth to find something to believe in. but i think jaime would have serious disdain for han's stance that a lightsaber is no match for a good blaster. that's just the sw version of crossbows vs. swords, isn't it?

as for anakin/vader, there are plenty of woobies who could be finding their redemption, but when it comes to also being an effective and fearsome villain, i think only sandor "the hound" clegane really qualifies. (as opposed to jaime repeatedly failing to kill children or theon getting no respect as an ironman or as reek) plus, like anakin, sandor has terrible burn scars, a distinctive and singular helmet later stolen from his grave, wants revenge on the brother who burned him up, and he cries a lot.

darkstar is obviously the jar jar binks of westeros, the character whose appeal was greatly overestimated by the george who created him while most of the fandom simply finds him ridiculous and annoying.

then there's ned stark, a leader who always dresses their best to impress for the occasion, who knows how to govern his home in the outskirts but is out of his depth as a politician in the big city where his ideals are out of place in a corrupt court, trying to prevent a civil war which has already been planned behind everyone's backs for years, and is ever forgiving of a man all too willing to murder children. that's padme, baby.

See so i think jikook are close def that much i can say, but i dont think they are in a relationship or a serious one at that , i mean we are pretty sure that jk had teh thing with the women (which people for some reason dont agree with or say its a cosplayer , who has teh exact same hairstyle, floorplan, walls, dog, sofa and lights , mannerisms, apartment and very soon after that jk said that "saesangs are still here" , so i dont whats there to disprove over here for those relegious jikook people) and then jm has with the actress who posts his apartment pics, and all of this happened esp with jk at that period when they admitted they werent talking at all, and wouldnt have if they hadnt met, throughout ct it felt that jk was sort of anxious, bored, distracted more like it and felt was upset, all of this also points that maybe they had a fallout a major one perhaps, but now they are better bc hell they went to military together. Tae was with jennie, and even rm had a long committed relationship until recently it seems from rpwp songs. so all of this people fighting over taekook vs jikook and how jk seems abusive is redundant , bc they arent in a relationship either of them. what are you thoughts about it.

Jungkook may have been nervous at the start of their trip to Connecticut, because Jimin was too, as they both mentioned it’s the first time they’re hanging out after a bit of not seeing each other. But this attempt at highlighting JK only, and saying he seemed uninterested in whatever ways, has been the one thing Tkkrs clung to since the first episode, and it is baseless.

Jungkook is allowed to feel however he felt, but we also all watched the damn show. He was smiling and happy during every single episode thus far, and reiterated his joy many times over. He also said during the first episode that he wanted to keep traveling and filming with Jimin after enlistment. He wants to do it until they’re 50. Was he exaggerating? Most probably, and him being tired at some points was a given due to him being in the middle of promoting his solo work. Outside of that though, he was happy and willing to do the show.

Jungkook and Jimin traveled together because they chose to, because they wanted to. So whatever was going on behind the scenes between them, is something we will never know the full picture of. So if you don’t think they’re together, okay, but I don’t think you ever did, because I’m pretty sure you are a Tkkr anyway.

Regardless of what you ship though, smoke and mirrors are not good indicators that people are dating. Jimin and Jungkook flirt and put their mouths on one another. They choose each other over and over, so no matter the fact that there is a woman claiming to be or trying to insinuate she is Jimin’s girlfriend. Without him ever confirming that, she’s just a weirdo.

Not to mention, why would any of their actual partners post the way she does? If Park Jimin was my man, I do not need to vague post and try to show off bits and pieces of our lives to convince his fans of it. Never mind the fact that it’s his private life. So if they are together, unless Jimin is okay with her stirring shit up in the fandom and posting his house on IG… that’s not something a grown woman, who is famous adjacent herself, dating an incredibly famous person would do.

In comparison, Namjoon and his potential boyfriend situation is the near exact opposite of what that woman is or was doing. We have no idea who the man (or men) is in the pictures Namjoon himself posted. Maybe some people do, idk, but the point is, there is no way to determine who they are nor what they mean to Joon outside of fandom speculation. Yet the speculation makes sense and is believable, because Namjoon himself played into it. He wasn’t deterred by people questioning his sexuality nor relationship status, he posted a heart over a man’s face, and was posting all types of loves songs as he traveled with his family and a man. Yet when he seemingly had his heartbroken, he deleted all photos of the emoji covered man (or men), started talking shit about relationships, and posting sad queer music.

That, imo, is how I believe a relationship between any BTS member would go. Not the heartbreak, but a “quiet launch”. Tae and Jennie were even along similar lines. They unfortunately didn’t post their pictures themselves, but even in the middle of the drama, they kept seeing each other in public spaces. They just didn’t publicize their whereabouts.

So if two members of the group can seemingly date both famous and presumably non famous people, and take pictures and be seen out and about with them, why can’t Jimin? Why is his relationship shrouded in mystery, and only fueled by the woman claiming to live with him all the while he makes no move to imply there’s truth to the rumor?

If he and JK have absolutely nothing going on, why is he out here letting his girlfriend look goofy, all the while biting hickies on a man? While flirting with a man on live and asking him to get naked? While traveling with the same man, getting his ass slapped by him in bed? Enlisting in the military with said man, using a program that keeps them together the entire time?

So again, you don’t have to ship Jikook nor think anything of them, but if you’re going to pull in Taennie and Namjoon’s possible situation to use as examples of the members dating, keep it steady across the board. Jimin and Jungkook’s speculated relationships with women do not match up with Taennie nor Joon’s situation, yet Jikook does.

They travel, sight see, share meals, stay up late, take cute selfies, and cuddle up. So what makes Jikook less likely, aside from them being in the same group for a decade? Which only adds reason to why they may have had some communication issues or whatever, and needed time apart.

Maybe the other day you broke the microwave because of a supposed "constant threatening noise" that it came from it, or that the day before that you climbed onto the roof trying to hide from Sodo, who you made angry all the time, almost dying trying, or that the week before they almost canceled a live show because you had broken your instrument and, trying to fix it, you caused a short circuit in the entire theater.

Well, those are small exceptions that did not have a great impact, or that's what you called them, something that Copia didn't always find very funny. It was always something new with you. Once Papa Emeritus V passed the door and closed it, it was only a matter of seconds before the other Ghouls found out about your antics..

Sodo reaches out to grab his guitar before it hit the ground and broke. What did reach the ground, and what caused you slight pain, was you and your head when you collided with Mountain and fell to the ground.

"Ugh, thanks.'" The shorter one said as he left the place, but not before giving you a look that indirectly communicated 'I'm going to kill you.' You were already used to that look anyways. 'Stop stealing his guitar, he'll kill us all if you even scratch it." Mountain tells you as he helps you stand up. "I didn't steal it, I borrowed it without asking." The ghoul in front of you nods while rolling his eyes with an amused smile. "Yeah, yeah, You better come to rehearse with me."

Your hand was behind your head, where you had received the impact against the ground, as you followed Mountain towards the rehearsal room. Those few minutes in which you remained silent listening to Mountain speak were the most calm sounds that the Ghoul could witness coming from you. "You're very quiet, did you hit yourself too hard?" Sorry for tha-" but, when he turns around, a disappointed expression appears on his face and a hand rises to his forehead when he sees that you weren't around.

Well,maybe you got distracted halfway when you passed by Copia's room. Maybe you entered without being heard and maybe you were rummaging through his drawers.

You laughed while seeing how many suits of the same color Papa Emeritus IV had, perhaps it was you who could not distinguish between two almost identical colors. His room was gigantic, or well, it was bigger compared to yours. The sheets on the bed were very thick, not to mention soft too. You lay down as if you didn't have obligations gripping your shoulders and sigh deeply.

Your eyes traveled around the room looking for something fun to do, until you find a very familiar white suit shining before you. That black hat was calling you, and you knew it. It didn't take long for you to decide to put on that white suit. You noticed that it wasn't too big or too small, it was almost taylor made for you.

You look at yourself in the bedroom mirror. You looked good, pretty good. You start doing the poses that Copia did during the shows, using the cane that was next to his clothes as a microphone. Humming song lyrics, you don't notice eyes behind you. You get scared and trip, colliding with the closet and causing the hat to fall on your head.

"What are you doing?" You can recognize, by the voice, that it was Copia. You weren't usually one to be embarrassed by what you did, but this did more than make your heart race. You quickly stood up, staggering, avoiding eye contact at all times for fear of worse humiliation. A few seconds of awkward silence pass, which you can't stand, and you run out of the room. You would change and return him his clothes another time. Now you just had to hope that Copia didn't take it the wrong way and that he didn't tell anyone...

However, what you didn't see was that Copia, after grabbing the papers that he had forgotten on his desk, let out a faint laugh as he shook his head.

I'm kinda siding with jkk on this one, but only because Hybe dropped the ball on this show. Lets make this clear. It's still Jikook's travel show, with a special guest. Still Jikook's, not vminkook's, not anyone elses. But Hybe is wrong for marketing this at first as its all solo Jikook the entire time, with the manipulation in the trailers and posters, esp when you're talking merch and photobooks. If Tae was meant to be a "secret" guest, that's exactly how it should have been. Meaning don't air footage in trailers where he's present to make it look like Jikook and cut him out for it to appear that way. Don't use posters where he's there and crop him out making it look like only Jikook. And don't include him in the photobook. That's all misleading. What they should have done was pull from footage of Jikook moments in Jeju where Tae isn't there to use in the trailers and posters for the Jeju segment, this way it wouldn't feel deceitful. They dropped the ball big time. And just saying its not Just Jikook shippers watching. There are Jikook biased who don't ship them watching and solos. So I get the frustration. And lets not pretend if this was marketed as a TK travel show or Vmin travel show with no mention of a special guest and suddenly there's Jimin popping up in TK's stuff or JK in Vmin's stuff the reactions would be the same. Hybe's marketing team screwed up and I get why Jkk feel mislead. That's not Tae's fault how it was edited and promoted, but it is Hybe's.

Sure, if the Japan episodes are not strictly Jkk-focused, I would circle back to HYBE’s marketing tactics and perhaps criticize their approach (it’s really not a big deal to me either way).

However.

So far, HYBE opting to leave TH out of teasers is likely due to the fact he was a secret guest. That’s not being deceitful, and any shipper who thinks so needs to start advertising themselves as delusional upfront because there’s virtually no reason to be so upset about this. It’s not the first time HYBE has edited things to be misleading; it’s certainly not the first time any production company tricks audiences into thinking something that doesn’t match the final cut.

Shippers throwing a tantrum isn’t doing anyone any favors. Of course if the tables were flipped, other shippers wouldn’t be pleased, but that’s implicit. But similarly, if Tkk, Vmin, etc. had their own show and an unexpected member featured as a guest, don’t act like other shippers wouldn’t have a field day.

At the end of the day, being hypocritical is embedded into a shipper’s DNA. Whining about something that didn’t happen in the way you expected only makes it look more pronounced. Instead, maybe just enjoy and be grateful for what you’ve been given—something which didn’t have to happen at all.

Raya was also smart enough to skip grades, and she also denied the offer. Later on, she eventually does the bare minimum in school, so teachers and students stop asking her if she'll change her mind.

Hears of the Astral Express and decides she wants to join their adventures. Her family tells her to at least finish her studies first.

She likes to take spontaneous trips and only leaves behind a note for her dads to read in the morning. Sometimes, she forgets to write a note. (The first time it happened, Aventurine and Ratio started panic calling people to help find her. She enters the house a few minutes later. They have a long talk about that kind of behavior. She was 15 at the time.)

She's often reckless and gets injured when she's traveling. She often shows off her injuries to prove she's capable but refuses to mention what caused the scar on her face. When asked, she quickly changes the topic.

When she does eventually occasionally join the Astral Express, she finds a passion for teaching. (She's also banned from joining Stelle on the same adventure. The first and last time it happened, they were banned from visiting that specific planet again.)

Doesn't really follow a specific path, but the closest would be Elation.

hi! sorry if this is a weird question lol. i just wanted to ask, since you’ve been living in japan, if you had any particular tips for navigating japan as a solo young adult? i’m taking a trip to the kansai region in the fall and it’ll be my first time traveling alone internationally so i figured i’d ask around in case there’s something i missed in my research. i can also dm you off anon if thats easier lol im just shy + wanted to give you the option to delete this message if you dont feel like answering. hope you’re having a good day!

hi, not weird at all!! i’m still not super knowledgeable or well traveled here yet but i can try to give some general advice. (ofc if you’ve already researched a bit it’s all probably stuff you’ve read before!)

it depends where you’re going, but in my experience most major cities are pretty well equipped for tourists. there should be enough english in train stations for you to navigate, and google/apple maps here are rlly good at telling you exactly how to get around. if you don’t know any japanese and have time, i would recommend learning at least some hiragana or katakana just to make reading signs a bit easier, but you can always use google translate if you need to.

if you can exchange and bring at least a bit of cash with you from your home country when you come, i’d recommend that! credit cards are pretty widely used and should work okay w atms & stuff, but it might be good to have something on hand in case there are any problems. (and also i wld make sure you let your bank know that you’re traveling, esp if you’re coming from very far away.)

if you’re staying for a while and/or plan to take a lot of public transportation, my biggest recommendation would be to look into getting an ic card. i didn’t have one for the first like 6 months i was here and paying for individual tickets any time i went anywhere was a huge pain in the ass. i’m only rlly familiar w the ones available around tokyo so you’d have to look into it yourself, but i’m sure kansai has its own options

Trying to get into green lanterns lore other than the new ones (jo and tai) what would you recommend 👀

hal is the only one i feel well versed in and normally i'm a stickler for reading up on characters in chronological order but he's been so omnipresent and retconned to filth that it's quite hard to pin down a reading rec for him esp since so many people will tell you to start with the johns era (vomit) and go from there. me personally i would go about it like this:

green lantern/green arrow: this was my intro to hal as a character! he's well into his solo run by this point but it's a good litmus test for readers to gauge whether they'll actually be interested in him

showcase #22-24: his pre-solo origins **

green lantern vol. 2 #1-74: i haven't read his solo in ages so in terms of narrative importance i would simply say read the issues where carol and/or sinestro heavily feature otherwise feel free to skim or skip. the early 60s issues are really a hit or miss depending on the person but for me at least the halcarol interactions were the highlight as was seeing sinestro in his obsessive idiot loser phase

green lantern vol. 2 #76-124: the hard traveling heroes saga between hal and ollie, occasionally featuring barry, dinah, and carol. the first few issues make up green lantern/green arrow, but if you keep reading this arc you also get more introduction and exposure to john and guy

green lanterns corps #201-224: i don't think you have to read this personally but if you want to get more conglomerate green lantern corps interactions you can (there is also tales of the green lanterns corps for that but it can be a hit or miss sometimes as well and is responsible for the hal and arisia relationship.. which.. well.. we don't talk about it)

green lantern vol. 3 #1-50: basically more buildup to hal's life steadily falling apart which obv leads him into his parallax era. there is also a brief carol predator era relapse that ends in some really great reflections of what makes the halcarol relationship so unique and tragic and ultimately defiant of hetero norms. and we get introduced to kyle! ***

the spectre vol. 4: hal's spectre era aka his sexiest era. a gazillion out of 10 stars for peak uncle interactions with helen and beautiful tender tragedy with halcarol (although i will complain it annoys me personally carol was so minimally included here when she had been such a big part of green lantern lore previously. i think this is what pushed johns to bring her back as a star sapphire bc he nor dimatteis could conceive of how she would be impt as a civilian character even though she had shown all capacity to be for like. decades prior lol). there are also big trans hal vibes and if you are into funky catholic guilt and rage this is your book

** hal's origins are messy in that they are basically rewritten twice. they're rewritten first in emerald dawn and emerald dawn ii, which is probably the origin i would go with overall bc it is most consistent to green lantern vol. 3 and the state hal and his relationships are in by that point (particularly with sinestro and carol). they're rewritten second in green lantern: rebirth (2004) by geoff johns, which is imho bland and terrible. personally i love hal's initial origins from the 1960s. i don't think you'll ever get a better depiction of hal as an intrinsically heroic yet externally awkward person filled to the brim with dreams and longing. i also prefer how his dynamics with carol and sinestro used to be written here before they got bogged down in a lot of the misery you see showcased by the time we make it to parallax era. the drama of that era is great obv and i love it but i also miss how cartoonish and silly and entertaining early green lantern was

*** this first chunk of green lantern vol. 3 is unfortunately written by gerard jones (aka the guy who is currently in jail for possession of child pornography. yeah) so something to keep in mind. i don't think it impacts much of what he wrote for this book specifically but it is still obv disappointing and uncomfortable so i wanted to note that. he also worked on the emerald dawn books

for the other lanterns my mutual has a carrd with essential recs for each of them here. in pre-geobard jawnes era john is mostly relegated to green lantern vol. 2 and 3 whereas guy shows up in both and then a handful of other justice league books as well as his own solo series guy gardner: warrior. kyle is probably the easiest to read about once green lantern vol. 3 segues into his introduction in the parallax era bc it obv becomes his solo book. simon and jessica have mildly interesting content in their new 52 introductions but green lanterns is probably one of the worst books i have ever read not in its content per se (although i personally do have complete apathy for new green lantern lore) but simply bc its writing is juvenile to the point of agony. which is obv standard fare for modern dc books. and then there is obv alan as well omg ty to anon for reminding me of him! i am least familiar with him but jsa 1999 is apparently a good place to start and i think he shows up sometimes in green lantern vol. 3 as well bc he mentors kyle on occasion!
