So the Transformers RPG's Beginner Box: Roll Out set is coming with the scenario of the core rulebook and the first scenario of the A Time Is Now campaign book, and character guides for Hound, Gauge, Anode, Aileron, Smokescreen, Novastar, Beachcomber, and Springer, some of whom were stand-ins for player characters in A Time Is Now including in the art for the book. This is releasing in May.

Gauge, Aileron, and Anode have actual character guides for suggestions of how to play them!!! Arcee, who is the quartermaster of the Ark and an npc in A Time Is Now, also had a pregen released a while ago as free bonus material as a warrior sentinel (which means she's specialized in melee weapons/martial arts generally and deflecting attacks and such and can have an extra shield or parrying weapon, can manifest energon weapons without spending energon, has more free actions, etc) with a gladiator influence.

So um if there is anybody out there looking to play some of the (trans) lesbian gals of transformers and their mentee (admittedly in Anode's case assuming she was just Arcee's friend like in IDW1 she's more like Gauge's aunt but we're pretty sure everyone following us is aware that we very much adore the Greenlight/Aileron/Anode/Arcee/Lug/Lancer ship that we're more or less responsible for being one of the first to toss around on the internet) or would like that to be their introduction to the game this is a thing you will be able to do in a few months.

Just. Just really blown away. We're just overjoyed, especially with everything happening right now that makes life for gender and orientation expansive folk so hard, that Renegade committed to showing some more of these bots. Very curious what Anode's art will look like since she hasn't had any of her IDW art shown in the book yet, Aileron got some new art in the TTRPG as did Gauge.

*coughs* obviously if you play Aileron *cough* there is an obvious npc in A Time Is Now to romance in the game if that's something people at the table including the GM who'd be playing her is cool with that *wheezes in lesbian*-

assuming its not already an established relationship and this is just more of a family adventure of some alien robot lesbians (okay look we have to note that the same gender loving transformer gals probably wouldn't call themselves lesbians they might have their own words for that and gender stuff but this is not the post to talk about the orientation and aesthetic systems we've come up with for transforming alien robots) and their friends and their daughter. I um wow this a thing. wow even though things can be crud this really actually happened. We actually had the honor of playing Gauge in a delightful and harrowing A Time Is Now game with some friends and the mother-daughter moments with Arcee were really fun

some sifs I drew from memory into my sketchpad while I was at a family meetup... i thought it'd be fun to digitalize the more original style ones with a pixel brush and the ones that were more my own artstyle with my usual brush (initial pencil sketch under the cut)

unironically, any notable change you see between the traditional sketch and the digital version only stems from the fact that i had no space on the real paper e.g. the sketches being repositioned or sif's hat not being curled downwards everywhere was because i could actually use the space better digitally lmao

I love how neferiously hugh laurie delivered his lines in that 5x1 scene where house is blackmailing wilson. because the dialogue could’ve been conveyed in a manner that was obviously facetious and unserious (like the way RSL was playing the scene: “You’d jeopardise a patient—? 😒🙄) but he literally chose to go “If it keeps you here😈👹” in the most deadass, diabolical tone. so the result is that we have house sounding like a genuine psychopath as he threatens to let a woman die and then wilson proving he’s an even BIGGER one by responding with, like, mild exasperation at best. 10/10 dynamic no notes

I may have realized a little too late that it doesn't make sense for Swindle to have an earth alt-mode in my continuity, so instead of rehashing it, I just started from scratch. And Scrapper isn't me being insane; their designs are supposed to complement each other.

I gotta hunker down and actually work on those E20 Mega Man Zero/ Mega Man X Command Mission games I wanna run with my friends (two of whom won't touch video games with a 10 foot pole, and one who isn't as heavy a gamer as I am, and another who runs in a different gaming circle than I, so they know NOTHING of the lore which means I can curate it to my whims Mwahahahahaa!!!) ... The Zero timeline I can't do much with till I have their characters for that bc I'm literally just doing a what-if Zero 2

But the Command Missing timeline takes place after the Giga city incident, X and Zero getting transferred from Central back to the 17th, and Gate's (assumed alive for this) shenanigans from X6 coming back to haunt them. It's an original plot... I HAVE the basic down.

A corporation named Blue Fairy Corp. Has been innovating for Reploids for a long time now, their current project, called Project Pinocchio, offers Reploids a chance to be... More human. Real tears, an easier time adapting empathy, advanced taste buds and enhanced nutrient converters so they can consume human food over energen for the energy they need.

And they're even promising that in the near future, thanks to the advances of Project Pinocchio they can offer humanity immortality and Reploids mortality.

X has been BEGGING to investigate Blue Fairy ever since ads for Project Pinocchio started cropping up. He doesn't like it, not one bit, but without probable cause the Maverick Hunters can't do Jack. Not even when Humans and reploids start disappearing off the streets. Nothing links back to Blue Fairy... Until, one day... Alia gets a call from Gate.

This is where the player characters come in. For both timelines the players are Reploids created by Gate during the events of X6, an expirament to replicate X and Zero, different from what he's already done, sealing them for 100 years. Depending on the timeline (I'm making the split who goes to face off against Gate and Sigma) one set of the player characters are dead due to the destruction of Gate's base in Area Zero. (The games have two different sets of players, one is playing in both and we've talked about their characters being twins who never got to meet bc whichever twin is alive in one timeline the other is dead...and who are capable of combining like Bit and Byte could *CACKLE*)

In the Zero timeline it's X who wakes them up and they're chased out of Area Zero by one of the four guardians (probably Harpuia) and X leads them to the resistance.

In the Command Timeline X, Zero and Axl are sent to retrieve them and claim that as Maverick Hunter assets because part of Gate's arrest was that he had to give all of his stuff up to the Maverick Hunters, or allow it to be bought and sold. There was quite a bit left in Area Zero and somehow not only does the CEO of Blue Fairy know those experimental Reploids exist, but they've purchased all remaining assets in Area Zero just to get them. Gate can't let that happen, if they survived he won't let them become corporate toys. He's not exactly happy to make them MH assets either, but lesser of two evils and despite it all, he trusts Alia and knows X will do right. It's on this retrieval that X finally gets the probably cause to start looking into Blue Fairy and then the 8 stages open up.
