Wild idea, what if the love triangle was between Ra-im, Eunhyeok, and Dohwa??

This is like if Ra-im woke up in a different world, her mother would be there, but her father would still be gone. Her mother would constantly be absent due to the amount of work she has to keep up with the growing economy so Ra-im tries her best to get a scholarship.

The people around them would still be the same, and there would only be a slight change in personality and perspective.

Ra-im and Eunhyeok would still meet through the piano competition thing, and their interaction up until Su-ae became relevant to their relationship will remain. It’s a world where Su-ae doesn’t exist and Ra-im becomes the main character.

I’ve just had this idea because I cannot, for the love of god, get Ra-im out of my head and her past with Eunhyeok. It pains me to think about, and I need to yap about it through a fic that I believe would have a more mature plot than the original.

Walk with me through the plot . . . (just more yapping)

I believe Ra-im’s mother would be struggling to keep a stable household, but Ra-im isn’t forced to work since she has a scholarship. Her mother finds a way to make ends meet so she’s able to live a life away from poverty, but not far from it. This brings up her sometimes cold attitude, but from it also sprung her fake charismatic side.

She would still meet Eunhyeok in the competition that he won, where he would later give her the trophy and the prize since he found out why she joined the competition (to help her mother). Her attitude towards Eunhyeok remains the same, still a bit cold in the beginning.

In this world, Dohwa would be given a “fair chance” since he would meet Ra-im while she has this cold attitude towards Eunhyeok. Although, her attitude doesn’t change towards Dohwa, it piques his interest. Slowly, Ra-im would learn to accept the two in her life.

She gains (I’m not sure if that’s the word to use) the “jealousy” and her personality from OTL through her classmates, who she knows have much more lavish lives. She’s kind of like Dohwa here, but she develops a lot of negative feelings and it would revolve around her relationship with herself and others. No jelly phone, no love points, just Yu Ra-im trying to navigate her way into life.

Should I write it? If so, where should I?

Crying.

That's all you could do since two hours ago.

You're too scared. You're alone in this world. In a strange world that you never imagined will become a reality.

"Drink it."

Someone's voice next to you made you look up. With puffy eyes, you looked at him. The man with glasses crouched down to be at eye level with you who was sitting on the stairs.

"You can join the others in the gathering room. I'll ask Eunyu to accompany you later."

He stood up and was about to leave after placing a bottle water next to you. However, you held his hand, causing the man suddenly stop and look at you.

"Can I come with you?" you asked.

You could see that the man was looking at you in surprise. But he quickly neutralized his expression back to normal.

"Okay."

Finally you got up from your place and followed his steps.

When passing through the corridor which is the gathering place for the residents of this apartment, you suddenly look down. You were too afraid to respond to the various looks they gave you.

"Come on."

You only looked up when this man took you into a room with a CCTV monitor screen and an old sofa in the corner of the room.

"This is the CCTV room. No one comes here except me and certain people."

You nodded slightly at his explanation.

"You can rest on the sofa while I do my work," said that man.

Your eyes watch the movements of the man who is now sitting in front of the monitor screen. He looks very focused, as if he immediately forgot about your existence in this room.

Your gaze now looks to the other side. With slow steps you went towards the sofa. You sat and stared blankly at the view in front of you which was the man's back.

As the seconds pass by, your eyes start to feel heavy. You suspect this is the effect of fatigue after a day of running away from the terrible creatures you encounter and also because after all this time you can finally feel the softness of the sofa you're currently sitting on.

Until finally you actually fall asleep on the sofa.

You didn't know how long you have been asleep, until when you open your eyes you saw an empty room. You stare at the chair which has now been abandoned by its owner somewhere.

You looked down when you realized that there was a plaid shirt covering you. You remember that this shirt is the same as the one worn by the man with glasses before.

"Already up?"

The voice sounded at the same time as someone who had just entered the room.

"How long have I been sleeping?" you asked while changing you position to sitting.

"About 3 hours. It's dinner time now, take it."

"Uh... thanks." You accept the bowl of food from him.

He nodded then walked back to his seat in front of the monitor.

You noticed that his shirt was still in your lap. You cleared your throat slowly.

Your sigh succeeded in making him turn his chair to face you. "Um, this.. is yours?" you said showing his shirt.

"Yes. Just wear it if you feel cold." He turned his chair back towards the screen.

"Who are you? I mean, what's your name?"

Finally, you can ask questions that have been languishing in your head since beginning. Since this afternoon, as soon as you managed to set foot on the ground floor of Green Home Apartment, this man was the first to greet you at the bottom of the stairs. As if he already knew that you were coming. But now you know that this man must have noticed your arrival through the monitor screen.

"My name is Lee Eunhyuk. I was the one who made the announcement yesterday, so that the residents could come to the first floor to protect themselves from monsters."

You suddenly remembered the male voice coming from the building speakers. No wonder he sounded familiar when he spoke.

"Thank you, Eunhyuk," you said smiling sincerely.

"It's nothing. I should be the one thanking you," Eunhyuk replied.

You looked at him confused. "What for?" you asked.

"Thank you for surviving and fighting to get here. I'm really grateful that you're still alive, (Name)."

The curve of your lips is appeared again. Your heart feels warm knowing that someone cares about you. In fact, he is a stranger you have never knew before.

Wait.

Your smile slowly faded, as a question emerged in your head.

"How do you know my name?"

This wasn't a request, just an idea that crossed my mind. As I do it, I realize that we all need Eunhyuk. So if you're not Eunhyuk, there's no need to introduce yourself to me.

He was very confused when he realized his feelings for you. Despite his cold attitude, Eunhyuk is someone who thinks a lot.

He ended up confessing his feelings without really doing so. He showed clear signs that he had fallen in love - apparently obvious to everyone except you.

Eventually, he told you directly in an unexpected moment. You were studying, and he couldn't help but watch all the little quirky things you did without realizing it, which he loves, and then he blurted out "I love you".

It was spontaneous, and he didn't even realize it. He became a blushing mess, hiding his face with the back of his hand and looking away.

On your side, it wasn't any better. It took a few good seconds for you to realize what he had just said to you.

You were even more red than him, and you had been waiting for this moment for so long (you didn't think his feelings were mutual, so you at least wanted to stay friends).

After the confession, your relationship didn't change much because without realizing it, you were already in a pre-couple stage.

The only thing that was new for both of you was the more intimate part of your relationship.

In public, he's not a fan of PDA, but he will always touch you in one way or another, by brushing against you when you pass by, holding hands under the table, stealing a kiss when no one is looking - these are small gestures that mean a lot to him.

He loves to see you blush or be flustered when this happens and you try to act like you can handle it - he sees through you like an open book.

But in private, it's a different story. He always has his arms around you.

He's definitely he big spoon, even though he secretly loves it when his s/o takes care of him in their arms.

He loves to kiss you unexpectedly, even in private, but the difference is that he takes his time. He loves to feel close to you, and this poor boy is hungry for your love.

If you stroke his hair while his head rests on your lap, he'll melt on the spot and might even fall asleep.

Another thing he'll never admit is that he loves feeling intimate and connected with you. In those moments, he clears his mind, and nothing else matters.

One of his love languages, in addition to the small meaningful gestures and touches, is spending quality time together.

He's not a big fan of pet names, but in private, he likes to call you "Babe". Overly sweet names are not really his thing.

However, he doesn't mind if you call him by cute nicknames in private. In fact, he loves it.

He's very protective of you, and he'll always keep an eye on you in situations where you're around a group of people.

He's a huge moral support and always on your side.

He always makes you feel special and doesn't hesitate to show you that you're his priority.

Eunhyuk doesn't make a big deal out of his personal feelings, even though they are important to him, but with you, he lets his guard down.

He has told you about his childhood and stories about his father and mother.

He confides in you because he trusts you, and you should never break that trust because it's hard to earn.

He appreciates that you are a great support for him, even though he acts like everything is fine. But you know him as well as he knows you, and you know that he downplays his situation, so you'll be there for him no matter what he says because you can read it in his eyes.

You didn't really need words to understand each other.

Your ability to read each other's emotions and thoughts without having to express them explicitly is an indication of the deep bond and connection you share.

It's a testament to the trust and understanding you have built over time, and it's one of the things that makes your relationship special and strong

He always has small gestures for you, but he'll act like they're not a big deal.

For example, if you fell asleep in class due to lack of sleep, he'll go buy you an energy drink during the break and place it on your desk because "you look pitiful".

Or if they serve your favorite dessert in the cafeteria, he'll give you his portion because he "isn't hungry anymore".

Or if you forgot to do your homework, he'll never copy it as quickly as he does for you.

And if you mentioned a pair of shoes the other day, it'll be your next gift.

He'll always wait for you to finish what you're doing, and he'll never leave you alone or hanging.

These are all small things that he does for you, but they show how much he cares and how attentive he is to your needs.

He likes to walk you home after class or every date, you'll never have to walk alone.

He's very observant and listens to everything you say, but he acts like he's not really interested - you know he's actively listening.

HE'S JEALOUS! He has a hard time with his own character trait, he hates being jealous.

If he sees you talking to another guy, he won't make a big deal out of it and will let it go, even though he'll feel - against his will - a twinge of jealousy.

However, if he sees you uncomfortable or if the other guy is too insistent, he'll simply come from behind and wrap his arms around you as if nothing is wrong. "Everything okay here?" he won't wait for an answer, and he'll simply wait for the guy to get the message and leave - especially with the deadly glare he gives him.

He cherishes every little thing you give him, even if it's a ridiculous trinket or a simple lollipop.

You have matching keychains, and sometimes you like to match your shoes or clothes.

You have a piece of jewelry in common, a necklace with the first letter of each other's name.

He spoils you a lot, so if you want to invite him or pay for one of your dates, you'll have to be cunning because he's always the quickest to pay.

He loves to make his s/o happy.

He's grateful to be in a healthy relationship with you, and he hopes it will last a very long time (until death do you part...?).

In essence, Eunhyuk is a caring boyfriend who knows how to listen to you, protect you, and be a moral support.

He always encourages you in your projects (yes, he's perfect).

With time, you've learned to read between the lines in his seemingly cold attitude. He loves you, but sometimes he just doesn't know how to express it - but you know it.

You probably fell in love first, but he definitely fell harder.

"ENJOY YOUR FOOD," your delivery guy said, you give a small nod to the delivery guy before closing the door.

You hummed your favourite song in happiness, you wanted to treat yourself after the hardworking you've done. Self rewarding yourself with your favourite food.

You moan in delight when the familiar flavor of your food touches your mouth, thanking the chef who made this food wishing him to have a long generation for him or her in the future.

"What are you eating?"

You barely look at him before stuffing your mouth with the food.

"(Your fav food)." You replied with your legs swinging happily like a child receiving a balloon.

"What's this? You only bought one?" Eunhyuk ask looking at the bag to find it empty and noticed there's only 1 take away tray on the the table, "What about me? You didn't think of your boyfriend?"

He leans to the counter with his whole body facing your joyful face, your stuffed cheeks reminds him of a squirrel.

"You already eat remember?" You shove another mouthful into your mouth.

"When?"

"A moment ago when you came after going out."

He push his body from the counter with a push from his hip, and walking around and standing behind you. Leaning down to your shoulder, putting his head on your neck, "Give me a bite." You can feel his hot breathe hitting the crook of your neck.

You shake your head, "No."

He nuzzle his head to your neck even more at your reply, "Just one small bite," his voice was a bit muffled.

"Nooooo" you teased him. Taking another spoonful bite, mocking him.

"Wow really? You're so childish." He scoff at your face. You just shrug your shoulder taking more bites of your food with a very punch able face. Mocking him.

"Fine then." He grumble, he pulled away. You hold back a grin thinking he gave up on asking a bite.

The moment you swallowed your food, a palm was placed behind your head and turn your head to the side, your lips meeting his lips roughly.

His other hand snakes it way from your waist bringing it up to your cheek, they were rough but with a hint of gentleness. Each time your lips moved against his, your breathe was stolen from you. He pressed you to him.

You slowly melted into him, his hand on the back of your head rubbing your head. You shuddered at his touch.

His lips moving to the side and pulling away, his hand immediately snatch the spoon from your hand and take a huge bite from your food. He hummed at the taste, "This is good." He says with his mouth full before walking away.

You just sit there in shock and face hot, did he just randomly make out with you for a bite?

the feeling of something warm falling around your shoulders is sudden but not unwanted.

instinctively, you feel your body easing, a sense of ease washing over you despite the confusion of who's sweater you were now wearing. you lean back, held tilted back as a shadow falls over you, peering past the edge of the hood that was also thrown over your head, and instantly, a smile falls on your face when you see who it is.

"eunhyeok!"

he meets your eyes, hands shoved in the pockets of his school uniform as he smirks down at you; "you looked cold." is all he says in explanation, and you feel your cheeks flush lightly at the knowing look on his face. "did you forget your sweater this morning again?"

letting out a pout, you shift, slowing your step so you're walking next to him instead of in front of him. without thought, you take his arm in yours, pressing yourself against his side as you lean into him. "i didn't mean to," you mumble, slightly embarrassed at having been caught and enjoying teasing him right back.

eunhyeok rolls his eyes, but still, there's a look of concern as he frowns down at you. "you were practically shaking," he explains, "if you forgot your coat, why didn't you take the bus at least?"

and the answer is simple. it'd be the first thing on your mind when you woke up. or rather, a feeling.

"i wanted to see you," you smile up at him.

his cheeks flush, turning his head away all while you stay clinging to his side, using his free hand to hide the blush on his cheeks. you see it all the same and just simply grin up at him, admiring just how absolutely beautiful eunhyeok truly is.

"how'd you know i wouldn't take the bus?"

you shrug; "just a feeling."

he blushes more, face burning red whilst you turn your gaze back ahead, letting out a quiet hum as you let your head rest against his arm, never missing a step.

you barely give eunhyeok a second to think.

before he knows it, food is suddenly shoved in front of his face and into his mouth and he doesn't have the time to think before he's automatically abiding by your wishes and taking a bite.

it isn't until you pull away, a bright grin on your face, chewing that he realizes you two are not alone and in fact, there's a whole group of people staring at him.

the shock on his friends faces' slowly disappears, quickly being replaced by grins and quiet snickers as they mock him silently, fully aware eunhyeok is watching them. he's thankful they're quiet enough that you don't hear, but as he glances over you, eunhyeok thinks you wouldn't even care if you did.

he wants to be upset that you'd embarrassed him in front of his friends but as he watches you, smiling to yourself, completely in your own world, casting small glances at him every so often to smile up at him - eunhyeok releases he isn't really all that upset.

and he certainly doesn't want you to stop.

so, the next time you extend some of your food towards him to try, he listens without fault and parts his lips to say; "ah."

and the gleam of excitement in your eyes is enough to make up for the laughter of his friends.

there's a mild expression of hurt in your eyes and he panics, wondering--had he done something? did he forget something? it's not your birthday or your anniversary and you've been fine with him all day until now so-

you make a small noise and eunhyeok blinks, glancing down at your hand stretched out towards him. your fingers are spread, palm held up towards him and you're frowning up at him, hand held straight out in front of you.

it clicks.

a small laugh leaves his lips and then he's reaching out in return, letting his hand slip into yours. he threads his fingers through yours and squeezes, nice and firm, using the advantage to tug you into his side.

you let out a noise of surprise but fall against him with ease.

"i'm still mad at you, by the way," you mumble against his chest, reaching out to grab his shirt with your free hand.

he hums in acknowledgement, knowing you don't really mean it as he continues walking down the hall, leading you back to class.

"how dare you forget to hold my hand."

"i know," he nods, humming slightly. "it won't happen again."

"lean down."

he looks confused, glancing down at you with a tilt of his head but you just shake your head at him, gesturing with your hand for him to lean towards you.

a brief moment later and he does as you ask, bending at the waist to lean towards you as you smile up at him.

without saying another word, you take a step forward, reaching forward to brush back his hair before pressing a kiss against the skin of his forehead. you let your lips linger for a moment, eyes falling shut before slowly pulling back, light pink dusted across your cheeks.

before you can pull away completely, though, eunhyeok is reaching forward, grabbing your wrist with his hand, halting you. you blink, dazed, worried maybe you'd made him uncomfortable before you register the blush on his own cheeks (deeper than yours) but also the wide grin on his lips.

he's still leant towards you, lips inches away from your own and hand still holding your wrist and keeping you in place as your lips part.

"let me give you one," he whispers, and you feel your knees wobble at how deep and husky his voice is.

slowly, you nod, too afraid your voice will shake if you try to speak.

his lips are soft and warm against your forehead, sending a tingle down your back, leaning into the kiss. he lingers for a moment as well, and you relish in the touch, eyes slowly blinking back open as he pulls back to glance down at you.

biting your lip, you grin up at him.

your voice starts off as a whisper, the two of you basking in the comfortable silence of just being with each other. you're in his bed, cuddled up on his bed, resting agianst his chest as you stare up at the ceiling. he'd been lazily scrolling through his phone and occassionaly your eyes would flicker over before you'd get lost in thought.

it's not the first time you've said it - eunhyeok was actually the first one to say it.

but you feel like it then. feel like saying it. not because you're scared he doesn't know or because you need the reassurance but rather because you like telling him.

you like showing your love for him.

shifting, you turn so you're on your stomach, facing him.

"i love you."

this time you're louder, not necessarily more confident but firm.

he's glancing over at you in surprise, lips parted but you just smile, bright-eyed and doey, head resting in the palms of your hands.

"i love you."

and he eases, nodding; "i love you too."

you tilt your head left and right, humming affectionately.

"i love you."

you say again. simple. to the point. but your voice bleeds with affection and every ounce of love you feel towards him.

his eyes soften, leaning back against the headboard of his bed and smirks.

"and i love you too."

Dear insert reader ,

 This may be shocking news for you but, I like you, I like you so much it’s like my heart will explode when I don’t see you for a long time. The way your hair dances with the wind, Your laugh is my favorite sound, The way your eyes glimmer like the moon, The way your skin feels so soft and delicate

I crumble the paper and throw it away in the trash can filled with many other failed attempts at writing a letter to reader, “Aish! I don’t know what to do anymore..” as I bang my fist on the table a picture of me and reader falls on my notebook I have been writing on. ”reader, why are you torturing me like this..” Next Day.. reader POV “reader, come on! We’re gonna be late!” Su-ae, my bestfriend shouts as I get ready, ”Hold on! I’m almost ready!” putting on my shoes and quickly styling my hair. ”I’m here! Let’s go!” I exclaim.

 As we arrive at school I see my friend Eunhyuk across from us, ”Enhyuk!” I shout and wave, receiving a wave ”What’s wrong with him?” Su-ae asks, ”What do you mean?”. ”He just suddenly started walking a bit faster..” Su-ae says suspiciously, ”It’s probably nothing, maybe he’s just running late.” I shrug.

In our classroom, I guess you could say it’s a bit noisy.. and messy. ”Hey! reader, I heard that a boy from another section likes you!” one of my classmates say, ”Stop saying such nonsense! I don’t even interact with any of the students!” I shout, ”Haha! Maybe, they’re admiring from afar” They continued teasing me about this guy, when I see Eunhyuk looking at me weirdly. ”Just stop it already! Do you want to die!? Don’t drag reader into your nonsense stuff!” Su-ae shouts. As Su-ae scolds the boys the bell finally rings. ”Finally! If we were stuck in that classroom for another minute I would’ve punched the boys right there!” I laugh, ”Don’t be too harsh to them Su-ae!” I continue laughing

Suddenly someone approaches us, ”Hey reader.. Can I talk to you?”, ”Hm? Who are you?” I ask. ”I’m insert name, a student from the classroom beside you.” ”Ahh, Okay..” I said as he led me to a nearby hallway. But, unbeknownst to them, another person was listening.

”So.. What do you want..?” I asked, ”Well uhm.. I just wanted to say that I like you a lot.” He says. ”Oh..” I said, shocked by the sudden confession. ”I’m sorry but I can’t reciprocate the feeling.. I don’t really know you that much and uhm.. I already like another person. Is it alright if we can still be friends?” ”Of course, that’s fine with me! I totally get it.” He reassured me. But.. Eunhyuk POV As I saw a random boy and reader go somewhere, I secretly followed them. I immediately hid behind a wall when I saw them stop and talk. ”So.. What do you want..?” reader asked, ”Well uhm.. I just wanted to say that I like you a lot.” He said. ”Oh..” was the last thing I heard reader said, when I immediately left and went back to our classroom.

While I was dozing off on my chair, I heard reader and su-ae talking. ”Did he actually confess to you? Straight up?”, ”Yeah.. But-” I stopped listening and put on my earphones while we waited for our teacher.

My eyes suddenly went wide and stepped back due to the sudden confession. ”Wh-what..? Eunhyuk..”. ”I know you already like someone else, and I know that it’s wrong to confess, I just couldn’t get it out of my head.”
