Hi kirpy!! Congrats on 300 followers!!!!!!!!!!!! I love your writing sm,, and im obsessed with ur newest kkobrin story. They make me sooo feral. I also want to mention I really like your taste in music.
So I do have a writing idea, if you are interested. It's basically just punk! kkobrin. I drew some art for this idea myself, but I can't write for shit. Itd be really cool to see you write a short drabble about them in this au being punks and fighting the problematic shinobi system. I dont rrally have any specific prompt about it tho so it might be too vague sorry. If u want to see the drawings and hcs I made for more info, theyre on my art blog @seoz-seoz. And if you don't like this concept, I totally understand!! No pressure. This may not be for everyone. Lol.
Either way, thanks and take care of yourself!!! Congrats again <3
HI SEOZ!!!!!! so i ended up having a lot of fun writing this even if it didn’t display their punk-ness very well, so i’ll just explain my vague ideas for them here AKDJAKDH
rin and minato are both very overthrow the system, but in a legal way. they want to pry power from under danzō’s feet like stripping paint off a wall. rin helps out in the hospital of course, but also plans a lot of educational activities for children of all ages, and underhandedly radicalizes them that way SKDKSK
obito is far more direct, and will attack root agents, destroy root hideouts, and in generally just more uh. violent. but he also participates in rin’s activities because he loves working with kids :3
kakashi just likes to go around vandalizing things with graffiti and yk. openly threatening root agents because he can. he also helps with rin’s stuff, and more often than obito. he also hosts his own art classes where he teaches older kids how to identify root hideouts and get away with vandalizing them SKDBSKDJSKDJ
all three of them only don’t get in more trouble because minato’s the hokage and he turns such a massive blind eye to their activities to piss danzō off dkdkskkd
ok here is the story i love them and i love ur art sm!!!!! <33333 also this isn’t 1k it’s 947 words which is. so annoying. but ik jack shit ab punk anything and couldn’t think of anything else to add :(
Rin let the door to the Hokage’s office slide shut behind her and took a seat on the couch next to, to her surprise, Obito. He glanced up at her, then grinned both in greeting and like the cat that’s caught the canary.
“Whatre you doing here?” she asked, noting the dirt on his clothes, like he’d been up to something. He probably had; Obito was like that.
“You first,” Obito responded, crossing his arms. Rin leaned back on the couch, realizing what Obito meant: he thought she was in trouble. Ah, then this would be news to him.
“Minato’s gonna help me plan an activity for the students where they can learn about the rivers and fish and stuff. Science-y stuff, you know.”
And if watching Obito deflate wasn’t the best thing she’d ever seen. Minato shuffled the papers on his desk, stifling a chuckle. “What’re you in for?” she added, because she wasn’t nice.
Obito slumped deep into his seat, sending the Hokage’s desk a burning glare. “I attacked a ROOT agent with a lead pipe,” he grumbled, and Rin reached over to grab his head and pull him into her chest.
“Awww, and Minato got you into trouble?” she cooed, petting his face as obnoxiously as possible. Obito groaned, long and loud, but made no attempts at escape.
“He broke their arm and leg,” Minato said, raising an unamused eyebrow at their antics. “They had to be hospitalized. According to them, Obito attacked unprovoked, too.”
“They were spying on me!” Obito retorted, spluttering and finally fighting his way free when Rin accidentally stuck a finger in his mouth. “I was only acting in defense of myself,” he added when he was sitting again, glaring at Rin.
“You were vandalizing a building.”
“It was abandoned!”
“I’m pretty sure trying to destroy a building is still illegal, Obito.”
“Well it was obviously a hideout for Danzō’s goons, so really, I was doing you a favor.”
Minato looked up from his paperwork, meeting Obito’s eyes with an icy glare. “Right. My former student wreaking havoc on an abandoned building looks great on my image as a Hokage.”
Obito opened his mouth to retort but Rin grabbed his ear and yanked on it lightly, scowling at him. “He’s very sorry,” she said, rolling her eyes when Obito didn’t take the initiative and instead snapped his mouth shut. She reached around him to grab his lips and, in a poor mockery of his voice, pinched and opened them and said, “I’m so sorry, Sensei, and I promise not to destroy any more buildings for at least a week. Or attack any more ROOT agents. Also you’re the greatest Hokage ever and I’m very thankful you’re going to let me off with only a slap on the wrist and a disapproving glare.”
Minato frowned at Rin’s antics, his disappointment changing none when he shifted his gaze from Obito to Rin, and she grinned in response. “You’re on Naruto duty for a week, too,” he finally said, looking back at his paperwork, and Obito groaned loudly.
Not that he didn’t like Naruto, but Rin understood. He was a handful without his parents around.
“Okay, both of you out please,” Minato said, waving them off, and Obito gladly stood and quickly made his way out.
“Ah, the field trip?” Rin asked, and Minato continued to wave her off.
“Whatever you have planned is fine, I’m sure. You have my permission to do whatever you want,” he said.
Well, not like she expected anything else. “Thanks Sensei!” she exclaimed, following Obito out with a wave to Minato.
It was getting close to dusk, which meant that they needed to find Kakashi because he was on dinner duty tonight. Sometimes it was easy, but other times Kakashi didn’t want to be found. Whether it be a bad mission or he was too involved in his current piece to be bothered, he would be hard to find.
Luckily, today was easy.
“That’s the building I was vandalizing!” Obito yelled, pointing an accusing finger at Kakashi, who was detailing some fur onto a wolf with electricity in its eyes and a bloody ROOT vest in its mouth.
“Subtle,” Rin called, following Obito.
Kakashi looked over at them, then very obviously grinned at Obito who was marching over angrily.
“So you can get away with threatening a ROOT agent in a permanent mural but the second I get caught attacking one, Minato’s about to flay me alive?”
“Maa, favorite’s privileges, I guess,” Kakashi responded, smoothly leaning away from Obito’s attempt to grab at his jacket collar.
Obito growled in frustration at his failed attack, but pushed it no further. “Tch, whatever,” he said, swiping a spray can from the ground. He walked over to the mural and sprayed a small red heart in the corner, before Kakashi could stop him.
“Ah, right over the water details,” he lamented, placing a delicate hand over his wounded heart. Rin grabbed a can and did the same right next to Obito’s, in pink. “You both wound me.”
“I think we should have fish for dinner,” Rin said, ignoring Kakashi’s whines, and beginning to help him pack up his supplies. Obito nodded in agreement, gathering Kakashi’s brushes into a pile. Kakashi worked on transferring his supplies back to his scroll, and then ended their familiar dance.
“Do you want grilled fish?” Kakashi asked, pocketing his scroll. “You guys keep telling me you regret not asking for it every time I make dinner.”
“Eh, I’m not really feeling it right now,” Obito said, and led them out of the alley. Rin snorted. They would absolutely regret not asking for grilled fish again.

Alpha! Mafia! Yandere! Hizashi Yamada x Omega! Female! Reader.
Tumblr media
( i am here again for a third time with the bnharem’s server collab. This time it is a villain or Villain swap AU. I picked Hizashi Yamada for this AU. I hope you enjoy this story. Make sure to check out everyone else’s stories here. You can read my other works here. Thanks to @koniginwrites for all her help. The banner was made by @dollfacedwithadirtymind. I would recommend listening to Purple Lamborghini by Skrillex and Sucker for Pain by Imagine Dragons while you listen to this to help understand the story below)
(Disclaimer: I do not condone the actions of a Yandere and having a real -life relationship with one is toxic and not safe. Killing someone is not cool people)
TW: Breeding kink, blood, omegaverse shenanigans, yandere, knives, pregnancy, do not read if Endeavor is your comfort character.
If this isn’t your cup of tea, blend of spices, or brew of coffee, move on.

You were walking around in the decent-sized apartment that you and your boyfriend, Hizashi Yamada lived in. You had known your boyfriend for a few years now. The two of you had met at a strip club that he had been working a gig at. When the two of you met, he was curious as to why such a cute little thing like you was doing in a place like this. After his gig, the two of you talked and he gave you his number and you called him later that night. When you got home that evening, you called him and the two of you set up a date later that week at a cafe that Hizashi recommended. When you arrived at the cafe, you looked around the cafe to look for your date. You spotted Hizashi and waved. He looked up and saw you and waved back. You would walk over to the table after you ordered your drink. Hizashi stood up from the table that he was sitting at and walked over to you. He looked handsome his white button-down jacket and leather trousers as he approached you. You noticed his hair was tied back in a half bun and the glasses that he wore had transition lenses so it looked like he was wearing sunglasses while he was indoors.
“Hello there, Y/N.” He spoke. You looked up at him and smiled.
“Hello, Hizashi. How are you?” You asked.
“I’m good. I’m glad you could find the place. It’s not easy to find. What did you want to order? I’ll pay for it.” He offered.
“I can pay for my own drink. Thank you though.” You responded.
“I insist. This is our first date, I’ll pay.” He responded and pulled out his wallet as the two of you walked up to the register. You told him your order and he repeated it to the cashier and paid for the drink. When your drink was ready, you carried the warm mug and thanked the barista before walking back to the table with Hizashi. He waited until you were seated before retaking his seat across from you.
“So, tell me about yourself, Y/N.” He spoke to start the conversation.
“There’s not much to know about me, I’m pretty basic.” You spoke. Hizashi didn’t believe it. He looked you in the eyes and kept eye contact with you.
“I don’t believe that for a second. You’re cute, and I like the color of your eyes.” He told you. This comment made you blush and look away from the man in front of you.
“Thank you.” You spoke at last. You didn’t remember the last time a man complimented you without the intention of getting in your pants. Hizashi smiled and held your hand.
“You’re welcome.” He said before taking a sip of his drink. You smiled and took a sip of your drink as well. You told him more about yourself and he told you about himself in return. You learned that he had gone to the famous UA when he attended school. You also learned that he also was a radio show host after he decided to step back from hero work. This caught your interest.
“What made you step away from the hero work?” You asked him. You wanted to make sure the man in front of you wasn’t a villain. His eyes flicked up to you when you asked him about his hero work.
“I wanted to focus more on my radio show.” He responded while rubbing the back of his head.
‘Smooth recovery, Yamada.’ He thought to himself. You were smarter than that though. You could read past his cover up.
“Tell me the truth or I’m walking out of here.” You told him in a serious tone. Hizashi froze up and panic began to set in. He was afraid that you would still leave even after what he was about to tell you.
“Now don’t judge me for what I am about to tell you. There has been signs in the past few months that the society that we live in is crumbling. There was a point where it wasn’t safe for Pro Heroes to work as Heroes anymore. After we discussed our options, we left the Hero Commission and joined the Yakuza. Our boss is the former Hero Gang Orca. Don’t worry, we still do things for good but we’re no longer associated with the Hero Commission. That society is corrupt.” Hizashi spoke. You looked back at him for a moment and looked around the café. You noticed one of the baristas as another former pro hero. You noticed some other people that were probably former Pro Heroes as well sitting in the café.
“This place is one of the businesses that your boss owns?” You asked. Hizashi nodded. You smiled.
“That’s cool. As long as you don’t do anything illegal, I’m ok with it.” you told him. He relaxed and kissed the back of your hand. A couple of people from the back had caught your eye. You looked over at them and your eyes widened. You saw a dark-haired man sitting next to another person that had yellow eyes and purple smoke concealing his face and hands.
“Who are they?” You asked him as you gestured over to the table the two men were sitting at. Hizashi looked back and noticed that they had been watching the whole time.
“They are my friends from back in high school. The tired looking guy with black hair is Shouta. The guy with the yellow eyes and purple smoke all over the place is Kurogiri. They’re also in the same group as I am. We actually pulled Kurogiri from the League of Villains and got him to join us. He’s our mode of escape since he can warp to anywhere as long as he knows the coordinates to that place.” He explained to you. You nodded and glanced over at the two men who acknowledged you. You turned back to Hizashi who had a nervous look on his face.
“What is it, Hizashi?” You asked him as you took another sip of your drink.
“I want to ask you one more thing before I take you home.” He asked.
“Go ahead and ask.” You spoke. The man in front of you took a deep breath and looked you in the eyes.
“I’m an Alpha and I don’t have a mate yet. I’d like it if you’d be interested in being my mate.” He spoke. You were stunned. The two of you were only on the first date and he was asking you to be his mate? You looked at Hizashi again, this time noticing the tattoos on his neck and wrists that were now peeking out of his shirt. You smiled and held his hand back.
“You’re lucky there’s no other Alphas after me right now. I’m an Omega and I’d love to be your mate.” You responded. Hizashi let out a sigh of relief and kissed the back of your hand. He stood up and held your hand as the two of you walked out of the café with Aizawa and Kurogiri following behind the both of you at a distance. Hizashi took you to his car and drove you back to your apartment. You gave him directions even though he had secretly found out your address before the date. Hizashi parked the car and walked you to the door of your apartment, kissed your cheek goodnight, waited until you were safely inside your house before he got back into his car, and drove home. He was determined to make you his.
A few months later, after some careful planning and preparation, Hizashi got time off to help you through your upcoming heat. The two of you planned to meet up at the apartment that the two of you moved into about a month ago with the help of Hizashi’s boss in the Yakuza. He was finishing up his shift at the radio station. As he left the station, he shot you a text saying that he was on the way home. that you ignored in your feverish state as you pumped your scent into your apartment. You whimpered and wanted him to come and give you relief from the ache that throbbed down in your pants. You had already made a nest and hid under the fluffy blanket that he had bought you for nesting purposes. You clung to one of his shirts that you stole from his dresser and took in the citrusy scent that calmed you a bit. You heard the door unlock and open. You winced away from the noise as you were unaware of who had just entered your home. You heard the bedroom door creak open and you hid even more. You were scared to look up but the scent of oranges, lemons, and leather wafted down to you which made you look up to see your boyfriend staring down at you. You whimpered and made grabby hands at him. He picked you up and slid into your nest. You whined and he kissed you deeply.
“I’m here baby girl. You’re safe now. I’m going to take care of you and make you mine.” He told you. You moaned out and nodded. He started off by moving down to your neck and marking you. You cried out and panted. He pulled back and unbuttoned his shirt to reveal his bare chest that was covered with tattoos. You blushed while staring at the intricate patterns of his tattoos. He pulled your hands up to his chest and let you touch. He kissed one of your hands and activated his quirk to hum against them. You gasped and he smirked. He put his arms above your head and kissed you deeply and moving down to your neck and biting again but this time his quirk was put into use. You let out a string of mewls and moans that sent him reeling into his need to stuff you full of his litter. He groaned and tossed his shirt out of the nest and swiftly removed your clothes from your body while covering your neck with kisses and small bites. He held your hips still while he sucked another mark into your collarbone. You let out a pleasurable noise when he licked the sensitive bite.
“You’re mine now, princess. No one is gonna change that.” He told you with a deep rumble in his chest that made you melt in his arms. You nodded and made eye contact with him which was hard as you felt like you were higher than a kite with your heat taking over your body. Hizashi pulled back and stared down at you. You whined and reached up for him and he pulled you up to sit in his lap. You pressed your face into his neck to take in his scent as he was emitting to try and cover yours so the two of you wouldn’t get unwanted visitors busting the door down. He then kissed you gently and slid his hand under the hem of your shorts. You straddled his lap and leaned against him. You took deep breaths and nuzzled the crook of his neck to find some comfort. Hizashi rubbed your back soothingly and gripped your butt as well. You whimpered and shifted a bit in his lap to give yourself some friction on his thigh. He noticed this and pushed you back down on your back. He kissed you again and left a trail of kisses down your body until he stopped right above your private area. You looked at him in annoyance as he had stopped. He looked back at you and spoke.
“Do you really want this? You want to have my litter?” He asked you and you nodded in agreement. He proceeded to move his head in between your thighs and suck the slick from your entrance. This made you feel good. He then activated his quirk on your entrance and it made you see stars. You let out a moan, arched your back and released on his face. He licked up the mess that you had made and looked up at you as you came down from your orgasm. You looked at him while you regained your breath. He sat up between your legs and kissed the inside of one of your thighs. He undid the belt on his pants and unzipped his leather trousers and pulled them off and tossed them in the same direction of his shirt. You blushed harder and looked back at him at the various tattoos that covered his torso and other parts of his body. You followed the snake that roped around his torso and thigh before it disappeared to the other side of his body. You also saw the various birds and feathers on his body, along with a dragon that roped around his right arm. You also noticed a small orca tattoo on his hand which signified the gang he belonged to. You watched him support himself above you by propping his hands on the pillows above you. His hair fell around his face when he looked down at you. He kissed you deeply to keep you distracted as he slid his pierced cock into you. He stopped right before his knot would go in. He didn’t want to tear your hole so he proceeded to press slightly with his knot against your entrance which made you cry out with pleasure. You panted with the feeling that the piercings made inside of you. His knot pressed against your entrance and threatened to rip you in half. You mewled in need and he pressed the knot into you. You moaned out again as you felt the knot pop into your wet hole. He stayed still for a bit until you whined for him to move inside of you and fill you with his seed. He began to thrust slowly and work up to a steady rhythm. He attached his mouth to your neck and hummed as he left another hickey on the sensitive flesh. You moved your hips with him and felt the tightness in your stomach build up and soon pop as you both reach your climax. He released and tried to pull out but he was stuck as his knot was still swollen inside of you. You blushed and looked down at him.
“Don’t stop.” You panted out. He nodded and took a drink of water before going back to thrusting inside of you until the both of you were spent. He then pulled out of you and cleaned the both of you up. He kissed your cheek and laid down next to you, tired. He brushed his thumb on your cheek and made you look at him. He pulled you close to him and kissed your forehead.
“You did amazing baby girl. I love you so much. Rest now. I’ll keep you safe.” He spoke into your hair before kissing your head and held you close as you both drifted off into sleep.
The next morning you woke up to find him gone but there was a sweet little note next to you. It read:
Morning Baby girl,
I’m sorry to not be there when you wake up but I have an early shift at the radio station. I’ll bring home your favorite dinner and we can cuddle tonight.
Love you,
Hizashi.
You finished reading the note and set it back on the pillow. You stood up gingerly as you were still sore from yesterday. You smiled and gently stood up to walk to the bathroom when you came out, you decided to change into something cute yet comfortable. You flopped onto the couch and turned on the tv as the news came up. Hizashi always kept the news on as he needed to keep up with the going ons of the fragile hero society. The world was in a near state of chaos with all the different gangs of the Yakuza going to war with each other almost on a daily basis. You were watching the tv until a new report broke in. One of the tv reporters spoke:
Breaking news: We have yet another report to add to the slew of attacks this month, this comes just days after we broadcast rumors of villains running rampant over the city. This spate of attacks has put the entire country of Japan at a standstill, road closures and damaged property making it difficult for commuters to get to work in the morning. Road maintenance endeavor to do its best to keep the city running, but it seems futile when these attacks continue to increase. The entire city was brought to a standstill by the mysterious villains who have still not been named, but reports show they are nothing like we have ever experienced before.
Where are the heroes now? Who will save us from the terror overwhelming our city?
Every day the crime toll continues to rise and we have no one here to protect us. The Hero Public Safety Commission assured us earlier in the week that the crime rate would go down, that the top Heroes are out there protecting our city, but if so, where are they? Is it really safe to go out anymore, who can we trust? Would you put your life in the hands of a Hero today? When they have proved our streets are no longer safe. We still have no information on what is going on, or who is involved but we must remain observant. We will continue to report the latest news as we receive it, but for now, we must implore you to heed the warnings of the city-wide curfew that is soon to be implemented. If anyone has any information on these occurrences in the cities, please send them to us or contact the police, you can remain anonymous. The safety of our citizens is what is most important, stay vigilant and don’t go out unless it is absolutely necessary.
One thing we know for sure: we can no longer rely on Heroes to protect us. The streets of our once-great city are no longer safe, we are no longer safe.
You stared at the screen with wide eyes as you saw the images of a giant duel that had broken out between the Yakuza, the League of Villains, and the vigilantes that were once heroes. You scanned the crowd of people for the blonde hair of your boyfriend and you got nervous as you didn’t see him. Your phone rang and you looked at the caller i.d. and your heart raced as it was Hizashi. You quickly answered.
“What’s going on!? I saw what happened on the news. Where are you? Are you ok?” You frantically spoke into the phone.
“I’m fine. I need you to pack a bag. It’s not safe for you there anymore. We’re moving into the HQ tonight. The boss said that we can have a couple people from the outside move in when things got bad. I’ll be there in a bit to pick you up.” He told you. You nodded and ran into your room and pulled out your suitcase. You hurriedly packed your essentials and some of your comfort items that you would need for a nest when you got to the headquarters. You heard your front door unlock and open. You reminded yourself that you gave Hizashi a key to the apartment when he moved in with you. He called out for you and you peeked out from your bedroom. You relaxed when you saw your mate and you ran out to hug him as you were scared. You looked up and saw that he was hurt.
“Hizashi! You’re bleeding.” You pointed out. He shrugged it aside.
“It’s just a scratch.” He told you. You frowned and wiped some of the blood that had come from his forehead. You showed him and he shrugged it off.
“You can clean me up when we get to the safehouse.” He told you. He knelt down and looked you in the eyes.
“I’m here, baby girl. It’s gonna be ok. Did you pack a bag?” He asked you. You nodded your head and he rubbed your back. He held your hand and led out of the apartment and into the street where there was a group of panicked people rushing to leave the city. You whimpered in fear as you clung to the arm of your mate. Hizashi noticed this and pulled you into the alleyway
“Hey, what’s wrong? You’re emitting your stressed scent.” He spoke.
“I’m scared.” You managed to say. He nodded and pulled you close so he could hold you.
“We can wait here for transportation. It’s ok. There’s a lot of people trying to get home or leave the city. I just need to tell the others the change in plans.” He told you and pulled you deeper into the dark alleyway. He had you sit on your suitcase as the two of you might have to wait a bit. You kicked your feet and looked at the ground as you held your stuffed animal as Hizashi pulled his phone out and called his friend.
“Where are you? You were supposed to be here a few minutes ago.” You heard a tired and annoyed voice sound from the other side of the line. You thought it was Aizawa from the café.
“I had to pick up Y/N, remember?” Hizashi responded.
“Right. Your little omega mate. Where are the two of you?”
“We’re in an alleyway a few blocks south of the original meet up place. Y/N got stressed with the crowd of people panicking. She was emitting her stressed scent and I didn’t want some random alpha to snatch her up and cause a scene.” Hizashi explained as he petted your head. You let out a happy noise and nuzzled into his hand.
“Any other landmarks that can help with your location?”
“There’s a motel and a sketchy Italian restaurant.” Hizashi spoke as someone came down the alleyway.
“What’s that sweet scent I’m smelling!?” A stranger called out from the entrance of the alleyway. Hizashi hung up and stepped in front of you. He emitted his citrusy scent to cover up yours.
“It’s nothing. Probably coming from the motel next to us.” Hizashi told the stranger calmly. You whimpered and squeezed your stuffed animal closer to your body. The stranger grinned evilly and stepped closer. Hizashi blocked his path and sight of you. The stranger frowned.
“You’re her mate? Aren’t you one of those members of the Yakuza that have caused this world to go into chaos? She deserves better than some mafia scum like you.” The stranger told him and he frowned. You knew what was gonna happen so you covered your ears and shut your eyes tightly. Hizashi stood ready to fight this person to keep you safe. He stared down the stranger and spoke again.
“You’re right. I am a member of the Yakuza. But I’m not a lowlife scumbag hunting down some innocent just because their scent is emitting. Not every scent of a person that goes through a heat is their heat scent either. Y/N is stressed. She emits a scent when that happens. That is normal. Now, I suggest you leave before things get worse.” He explained to the stranger as he rolled up his sleeves and pulled out a small knife that he always kept on him whenever he was out.
He would do anything to keep you safe. Even if it meant he had to kill this person.
The stranger saw the knife and immediately left the alleyway. Hizashi put the knife away and walked over to you. He put a hand on your trembling frame.
“Baby girl, you’re safe now. That bad guy is gone now. You can open your pretty eyes for me.” He coaxed you. You opened your eyes and he smiled.
“There you are, princess.” He told you and kissed your forehead as a smoky purple portal opened behind the two of you. Two familiar faces came through the portal. You recognized them as Aizawa and Kurogiri from the café that you met Hizashi at for the first time. You got off your suitcase but didn’t wander far and held onto Hizashi’s arm. You watched the men in front of you closely as they talked with Hizashi about the events that led up to them meeting in the alleyway. The man that was talking to Hizashi over the phone was Aizawa. Your eyes wandered to the man with purple smoke that hid his natural features and you recognized him as well. You gripped your boyfriend’s shirt and pressed your face into his back and nuzzled a bit. Hizashi noticed and turned to face you. He had a look of concern on his face as he knew that you had been through a lot today. He knelt down to your level and pressed his forehead to yours.
“Shhh. Its ok, baby girl. Just a few more minutes and we will be safe. You can nest all you’d like when we’re in my room at headquarters, ok?” he told you. You made eye contact with him and saw the intense look of concern in his eyes. Your gaze wandered to the two men who were looking around and shifting nervously.
“Hizashi, we need to leave.” Aizawa told his friend.
“Just a moment, Shouta.” Hizashi told him in a firm tone.
“Now, Hizashi.” Aizawa responded with the same firm tone as the sound of a panicked mob came from the main street. You clung to your mate tighter before Hizashi scooped you up and pulled your suitcase into the open portal. You hid your face and closed your eyes. He held you tighter to his chest and walked through the portal with a determined look on his face. Once the two of you were on the other side, you looked up to take in your new surroundings. Hizashi and the others stopped in front of a large iron gate you pulled away from Hizashi and looked at the design work in the metal. There was a long iron fence that towered over the four of you. At the top in the center was a crest of the clan. You looked to either side of the fence and saw that it was attached to a very tall brick wall. Aizawa walked up to a speaker and spoke into it. The gate was unlocked and the four of you walked through the gate. You pressed into Hizashi and he rubbed your back.
“Almost there, princess. Just a little longer.” He whispered into your hair as the three of you walked up the long path and into the mansion that seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. When your small group arrived at the very large doors, you looked up at them in amazement. The doors opened and you all stepped through. A couple of larger guards made sure that the four of you weren’t imposters. One of them asked about you and Hizashi quickly told them who you were before walking to his room. The man he had called Shouta stopped him by placing a hand on his shoulder.
“You still need to meet with the Boss, Hizashi. I’m sure he will be fine with meeting Y/N. At least go get cleaned up.” He told him
“Fine. But I want Y/N safe. She’s been through enough today.” He said as he shoved his friend’s hand off his shoulder and kept walking to the barracks of the place.
You clung to him and tightened your grip around his neck. He arrived at his door and opened it. He went inside with you still attached to him. He closed the door behind him. He took his backpack off and set it next to your suitcase. He then knelt down while supporting you and unzipped your suitcase. He pulled your soft comfort blanket that he would find you swaddled in while you took naps back in the apartment. He moved to the bed and sat on the bed with his back to the wall and wrapped the blanket around you and rubbed your back. You hummed and pulled away to look up at him.
“There you are, baby girl.” He said in a soothing tone that usually grounded you when you were stressed. You cooed and looked around the room.
“Is this your room?” You asked him as he walked into his personal bathroom to take care of the cuts and scrapes that he had taken during the fight that occurred earlier in the day. He looked back out of the bathroom to see you looking at the different things in his room. You always looked cute to him when you were exploring something new. You slid off the bed with the blanket wrapped around you. You walked around the room, looked at the record player, and his assortment of records. You were reading the titles as he came out of the bathroom to put on a fresh shirt from his closet before looking over to you and smiling softly.
“We can play some later. We need to go meet the boss.” He told you and you huffed as you wanted to make a nest. He looked at you with an ‘I’m sorry.’ look in his eyes, you set your blanket down on the bed, walked over to him, and pressed your head into his chest. You tensed up when there was a knock on the door. Hizashi pulled away and went to answer the door.
“Who is it?” He asked.
“Yamada, you’ve been summoned by the Boss. He wants you to come to the dining hall with your mate. He’s a bit upset that you didn’t come when you first arrived.” Someone said from the other side of the door. Hizashi groaned.
“Tell him we will be there in a few minutes.” He responded and the person left. Hizashi turned to you and walked back over.
“Are you gonna be able to come with me to meet the Boss?” He asked you. You nodded and he held your hand as the both of you went to the door. You paused to whimper and reach up for him to pick you up. He picked you up and held you for a moment.
“I’ll cuddle with you for as long as you want after we talk to the Boss. But I need to keep an image up around the others. Don’t want them to think I’ve gone soft just because I have a mate.” He told you and you huffed and pressed your face into his neck. He chuckled and set you back down hesitantly. Hizashi then opened the door and led you downstairs and to the dinner hall. The two of you walked past many doors that belonged to different people. You read the names as the two of you walked past and noticed a couple familiar names before the two of you stopped at a larger door. You were nervous and clung to his arm. He looked down to you and knelt down to your level again.
“Princess. You’ll be fine. They might seem intimidating but they’re actually pretty nice.” He reassured you. You nodded and rubbed your arms to self soothe as you were still nervous. You had read about how some people of the Yakuza were big and scary. You held onto his hand and stared at the big scary door. Hizashi allowed you to hold onto his hand and he opened the door.
Inside the room was a table surrounded by various Pro Heroes. You looked around the room and recognized each one of them. Going in a circle, you recognized Aizawa and Kurogiri from before, Best Jeanist, All Might, Endeavor, Hawks, Snipe, Cementoss, Fatgum, Ectoplasm, and at the head was Gang Orca. You looked over at to another part of the room and saw a few of the ladies at the bar and behind the bar. You saw a few kids that looked like students as well sitting in a lounge corner playing a game of cards. Some of the ladies that you saw you recognized as Mirko, Midnight, Mt. Lady, Thirteen, Ryuko, Recovery Girl, and Lunch Rush. The students you remember from a long time ago during one of the UA Sport’s festival. You saw Deku, Dynamite, Shoto, and the rest of the class there. You gasped and slipped behind Hizashi as you were scared from all the new people. Endeavor chuckled and looked at you.
“You have quite the shy omega there, Mic. Wanna share?” He suggested. Hizashi glared at him and growled. Gang Orca silenced Endeavor and had him leave the room. He then returned his focus to Hizashi.
“Why did you not come when you first arrived with Eraserhead and Kurogiri?” He asked. Hizashi tensed up a bit and spoke.
“I wanted to get my mate settled. I am sorry I didn’t come when first summoned.” He responded. Gang Orca tilted his head in agreement and let the matter pass.
“Can we meet your mate?” Gang Orca spoke. You peeked out from behind Hizashi and looked at the boss.
“If she’s ok with meeting all of you.” Hizashi told him and coaxed you out from behind him. You clung to him like a scared child hiding behind their mother. Gang Orca and the other members that were sitting around the table were patient as you eventually approached the table with Hizashi right behind you. You looked up at the Orca hybrid and stared at him with amazement.
“I’m Y/N. What’s yours?” You asked him.
“Sakamata Kugo.” He spoke and looked down at your tiny frame. You smiled and pressed into Hizashi. He looked down at you and smiled. Gang Orca then dismissed the both of you and Hizashi picked you up and carried you swiftly out of the dining hall and back to his room to let you relax and get used to your surroundings. He set you on the bed which you spread out on your fluffy blanket that you managed to bring from your apartment. You let out a squeak of happiness and purred into the blanket as you sunk into it. You relaxed as your boyfriend laid out next to you and wrapped his arms around you. He kissed you on the head and you pressed into his chest to take in his scent to calm you down from all that had happened today.
“Hizashi? What are going to do now? Will we ever be able to go back to the apartment?” You asked worriedly.
“I don’t know, princess. Not with the city getting divided up and all the chaos ensuing in the streets.” He told you. You remembered about his cuts and scrapes he had and you looked to him you sat up and checked his head to see his bandages that he had already applied. You huffed and nudged him. He looked at you and asked what was wrong.
“You said that I could help you with your cuts and scrapes.” You told him.
“I only did the one on my head. I have a few others on my chest and arms you can take care of.” He told you with a smile.
You beamed with happiness that you could help your alpha. You ran into the bathroom, retrived the first aid kit that was left on the counter, and proceeded to carry it back to the bed. Hizashi was already sitting on the bed with his shirt off for you to examine him better. You climbed onto the bed next to him and wrapped up the minor cuts on his arms and the slice he had on his chest. Your face flushed a bright red as you wrapped the gauze around his chest. After you were finished putting the first aid materials away, Hizashi pulled you into his lap and let you lean into his chest.
“Do I get a reward for being a good patient?” He teased.
“Well… You did make me wait to take care of you.” You told him.
“I know I did. I still let you patch me up.” He responded.
“Thank you for letting me do that.” You told him and he kissed you deeply as he pressed you against the blankets.
“I know you’re still in heat, princess. Let me help you.” He told you. You blushed hard and looked to the door.
“You want me to lock the door?” He asked. You nodded, he got up and secured the door. He wanted you safe from anyone that would dare come in and try to take you from him. You waited for him to come back to the bed.
“Want nest.” You told him. He looked at you and nodded. He picked you up and placed you on a carpet on the floor. You looked up to watch him strip the bed. You then stared at the blankets on the floor and you crawled over to them. You burrowed into them and relaxed as you were now surrounded by comforting things. Hizashi then looked around for you and got a little worried.
“Y/N? Where did you go, princess?” He called out. You giggled and peeked out of your hiding spot in the blankets. He found you and picked you up and set you on the bed.
“There you are.” He said and peeked into the blankets.
“I would let you nest in my closet but there’s not a lot of room. You’re going to have to nest on my bed, baby girl.” He told you. You huffed and nodded.
“What about in the corner next to the sliding doors?” You asked and nodded to the corner that had a chair in it.
“That can work too. You can use one of my spare sheets for a tent.” He suggested. You nodded and dragged his blankets to the corner. You looked back at him with a silent request for him to move the chair out of the corner. He walked over and pulled the chair out of the corner and let you nest. He sat down in the chair and watched you make your nest. You laid out the huge fluffy blanket on the floor to line the nest before you walked over to the bed and pulled the large pillows off the bed and made a circle nest that was wedged into the corner. You put pillows against the wall to pad yourself before building a wall out of the couch cushions. Hizashi had a small table with four chairs around it and you pulled two of them to the corner to hold the pillows up so they wouldn’t fall over. You made a kind of pathway so the both of you could get in and out of the nest easily. You built up the walls of your nest so you felt safer. Hizashi went to his linen closet and pulled out the spare pillows and blankets. There was a knock at the door and Hizashi set the spare sheets on the bed before walking to the door and answering it. Someone had left the key to the giant linen closet for them to use.
“Princess, someone left us the key to the giant closet downstairs. What do you need for the nest?” He asked. You perked up and looked at him from the back of the room.
“Um… More pillows and blankets. We can use the sheet from your closet for the tent. Unless you can find a blackout sheet then that would be better.” You requested. He nodded and left the room while closing the door behind him. You proceeded to nest more and add the blankets and sheets to the wall of your nest before Hizashi came back with several pillows. You looked up at him and reached out for the bedding materials to add them to your nest. He gave you the blankets and you let out a happy noise. He held back a large black sheet to hang up when you were done. He watched you rearrange the blankets and pillows until you sat in the middle and looked up at him and smiled.
“Ready for the tent now.” You told him.
“You need to get out for a moment, princess.” He told you and you huffed. You grabbed your fluffy blanket, wrapped it around yourself, and left the nest. You stood outside the nest and watched your mate attach the sheet to the ceiling and secure it with some thumbtacks that he had found. Once the sheet was set up, he stepped out of the nest to let you back in and to situate the sheet how you wanted. Once you got the sheet set up so you felt safe but still had access to peek out when you wanted to. You finished getting settled and poked your head out to look at Hizashi. He chuckled and watched you from the chair he was sitting in.
“You may come in now.” You told him and disappeared into your nest. Hizashi slid down from his seat and crawled into the nest with you. He looked around and checked out your tent.
“This is nice.” He told you and saw your cubby holes that you had built into the nest and were still working on. You had found a wall plug in and had set up your phone on the charger. You also managed to grab your set of fairy lights and add them into the nest for a soothing effect. Hizashi looked up at the lights and chuckled.
“What all did you manage to pack in your suitcase?” He asked you as he looked over at you.
“Enough.” You told him. He sat up in your nest and leaned against the wall. You looked at him and tilted your head cutely.
“Cuddles?” You asked. He nodded which made you squeal in delight and crawl over to him and climb into his lap. You laid on his chest and let out a sigh of relief as he pulled a blanket over the two of you. You let out a happy hum and nuzzled his chest. You traced the scales of his snake tattoo and counted as you traced them. He held you close and stroked your hair to help you relax and eventually fall asleep. He let you sleep on him and he eventually fell asleep as well. A few hours later you woke up and looked up at him.
“Hi, baby girl. Did you sleep ok?” He asked. You cooed and nodded. You nuzzled his hand. He cupped your cheek and kissed your forehead. You laid back on his chest with your head tucked into the crook of his neck. You looked up when his phone buzzed. Hizashi checked his phone and rubbed your back.
“We’re being summoned to dinner.” He told you.
“Do we have to?” You asked as you were cozy where you were.
“Yes, we do, princess. It’s required when we’re at the safehouse.” He told you.
“Do I have to come?” You asked.
“Only if you want to. They understand that you’re pretty tired. You’re also still in heat. I would feel better if you stayed here instead of taking the risk of having your scent leak out to the others. Most of them are Alphas. As you saw earlier, Endeavor is someone who is more likely bang as many omegas as he can rather than have one mate all to himself.” Hizashi explained. He wanted to keep you safe from the other Alpha.
“I understand. What’s for dinner?” You asked.
“Whatever you want. Lunch Rush can make anything you want.” He told you.
“Mac and cheese with chicken nuggets.” You requested. He smiled and kissed your head.
“Ok. I’ll be right back.” He told you, shifted you off of him and he crawled out of the nest. You laid on your side and wrapped up in your blanket and waited for him to return. Hizashi walked down to the dinner hall and entered. The others looked up when he came in. “Y/N resting?” Aizawa asked him. Hizashi nodded. The blonde looked over to Endeavor before going over to Lunch Rush and putting in the order for your mac and cheese and chicken nuggets. He also ordered some fried chicken for himself. While he waited, Endeavor got up and walked to the door. Hizashi got anxious and wanted to get back to you before Endeavor did. Aizawa got up and followed Endeavor out of the room. Lunch Rush gave Hizashi his order.
“I’m sorry that I can’t stay. Y/N needs me tonight. I’ll be here in the morning for breakfast, Kugo.” He told the boss. Gang Orca nodded in understanding and Hizashi left the room quickly so he could get back to you. He saw Endeavor go up the stairs. This pissed him off. He knew for a fact that Endeavor’s room was on the bottom floor. Hizashi quickened his pace and ran upstairs after the other former hero. Hizashi set the food down and stopped him.
“Don’t you even think about going after her. She’s mine, you scumbag. I know that times are rough right now but you don’t need to go around stealing other people’s mates.” Hizashi spoke in a firm tone and didn’t raise his voice much. Endeavor turned to face him with a smug grin plastered on his face that Hizashi wanted to wipe off with a right hook to his face.
“Yes, but you left your Omega alone. That’s a bad thing to do.” He said with a sneer as he turned to his door. Hizashi set the food down and approached the man as he was ready to fight the tall and muscular man so he could keep you as his own. “Back off.” The blonde spoke in a tone that was almost growling. Endeavor had a smug look on his face as he wasn’t going to back off. Aizawa, Kurogiri, All Might, and Gang Orca all came up the stairs. Gang Orca stepped forward.
“Enji, back off. Y/N is Hizashi’s mate. She is not yours for the taking just because Present Mic left the room to get food for himself and his mate. That is perfectly normal.” The Orca hybrid spoke. The fiery redhead pouted and walked back to his room. Aizawa walked up to his friend and asked if he was ok. Hizashi nodded and took a couple deep breaths and made a mental note to talk with Endeavor later before walking back to pick the food back up and re-enter the room. He closed and locked the door behind him before he walked to the far end of the room to the nest. He bent over to peek into the nest to see if you were still there and you were. You were sitting up while playing a game on your phone. You looked up from your screen and saw Hizashi. You squealed and set your device aside and laid down.
“I got your food, baby girl.” He told you as he got down on his stomach to look at you. You reached out for the food and he slid it to you.
“May I come in?” He asked. You nodded and moved out of the way so he could slide into the nest. He pulled his food in the nest, closed the door behind him, and leaned against the wall. He let out a stressed sigh and emitted a sour lemon scent which made your nose wrinkle.
“Hizashi, what’s wrong?” You asked.
“Endeavor tried to take you from me and I hate that he does that even though I just left to get us food.” He told you while he rubbed his temples. You climbed into his lap cuddled him and emitted your calming scent that would usually be meant for your pups. He hummed and pressed his face into your neck so he could take your scent in. You nuzzled his neck and felt him relax as he held you to his chest and gripped your waist. You squeaked and wiggled your hips.
“Baby girl, I want to claim you as my own. Make you mine forever. I don’t want the threat of someone wanting to take you from me. It took so long for me to find someone like you that was accepting of me being in the Yakuza. I love you, Y/N. I want to make you mine. I don’t want Endeavor or any other Alpha to even get the idea of taking you from me. Please, let me claim you.” Hizashi requested of you. You pulled back and looked at him. Hizashi never had a more serious look on his face as he was desperate to make you his own. Endeavor had really threatened him earlier and he was scared to lose you. He pressed his face into your neck as he was awaiting your answer. “You know that I’m your mate. I thought you claimed me yesterday in the apartment?” You asked.
“I did, but not as intensely as I want to right now.” He told you as he softly bit on your neck. You let out a little moan and he sucked a little harder. You were grinding hips against his thighs and moaned a little louder. You pushed away from him a bit to look at him. He looked up at you with a hungry and lustful look in his eyes.
“I would be happy to be your mate forever.” You told him. He responded by kissing you deeply, moving the food up to the seat of one of the chairs, and laying you down on the floor of the nest. He pulled away for air before going down on your neck to suck in a bonding mark into the flesh of your neck. You cried out in pleasure as he used his quirk to enhance the feeling of his mark being embedded into your skin. He pulled back and looked at the mark.
“You’re mine now. Mine forever and always.” He told you while keeping eye contact with you. You let out a moan as he pulled your clothes off and left more quirk-enhanced bites on your body. He was determined to make it known that you were his and that no other Alphas would take you from him. He moved your pants off and kissed your soft tummy before kissing your thighs.
“Are you ready, princess?” He asked as he hovered over the lower part of your torso, ready to eat you out before stuffing your womb full of his litter. You looked down to see his lust filled look gazing back at you. You felt your body heat up and your slick leak out from your entrance. You bucked your hips up against him as you were eager to mate with him. He smiled and went down on your slick hole and began to eat you out. He used his skilled tongue and mouth skills to suck the slick off of your wet hole as your heat raged through your body. You released a string of mewls and moans that drove your Alpha crazy as he sucked more and used his quirk on your oversensitive folds. The usage of his quirk caused you to go over the edge and release on his face. He cleaned you up using his tongue before sitting up, pulling your legs wide open, bending them so your knees almost touched your chest, and positioning himself between your legs as he was ready to fuck you into next week. He pulled his pants down and lined up his hard and swollen member to your wet entrance. He pressed the head into your opening and you let out a small moan. He smirked and pushed more into you until his full length was inside of you including his knot. You panted as he filled and stretched you perfectly. He waited a couple of moments before thrusting into you at a steady pace. He looked up at you as you had your head thrown back as he pounded into you. He soon reached his first climax and released into you. The both of you took a moment to regain your breath before Hizashi began to thrust again and again into you as he was full of determination to breed you until you were pregnant. He pulled out and laid next to you as he was spent. He kissed your temple and had you go to the bathroom as he waited for you. You crawled out slowly and waddled a bit as you walked to the bathroom to get cleaned up. You came back and slid back into the nest. He gave you your food before he sat up and ate his own food. You crawled into his lap and ate your chicken nuggets happily. He stroked your hair and relaxed.
“I love you, Hizashi.” You cooed.
“I love you too, Princess.” He responded. You finished your food and dozed off in his lap. Hizashi had one more thing to do before he could be sure that you would be safe. He picked up his phone and messaged Endeavor.
‘Hi! I was wondering if you’d like to do the nightly patrol with me tonight.’
‘Sure. This is a bit odd as you prefer to do patrol with Eraserhead or Kurogiri. Why do you want to patrol with me?’
‘Oh, just changing things up in case we were being watched. Shaking up the patterns.’
‘Fine. Our shift starts at midnight. Meet at the gate.’ Endeavor responded. Hizashi had a plan set out in his mind to make sure his mate would be safe no matter what. Soon midnight came and Hizashi had left the nest and your sleeping form to get changed into his modified hero suit. He sheathed his knives that he used when he went on patrol and went to the door to put his shoes on. He then left the building to walk to the front gate and meet Endeavor. He greeted Hizashi and they began to patrol along the wall that surrounded the perimeter of the estate. The place was huge so the time to patrol the place took a long time. Most of the estate was covered by woods and forest so there would be a higher chance of people breaking in even though there were security cameras all around the wall of the estate. Hizashi would have to wait until the two of them reached a blind spot in the cameras before he would make a move. In the security room, Kurogiri was observing the cameras and making sure the footage would be ‘Mysteriously compromised’ of Endeavor’s disappearance. Endeavor was the one thing keeping you from being safe. He was a threat to Hizashi and he had to be removed so that you could be safe. Soon the both of the heroes came to a stopping point to rest which was conveniently in a camera’s blind spot. Hizashi stepped away for a moment with the excuse that ‘he was checking deeper into the woods for any intruders’ which brought Endeavor’s guard down and he began to scroll through his phone. Hizashi pulled out a knife and slowly stepped out of the shadows. A twig snapped under Hizashi’s heavy boot which made the other man look up from his phone and stare at the blonde with wide eyes that were full of fear.
“Yamada, what are you doing?” The scared man asked as his eyes darted to the open blade in Hizashi’s hand. The blonde remained silent and walked forward to the man. He moved the blade of the knife under his chin and made the other man look up at him.
“I’m sure you know why I brought you out here unless you really are that dumb.” He spoke. Endeavor began to panic as he stared down his attacker.
“I thought we were going to do patrol around the wall then go back to the mansion.” He said in a confused tone. Hizashi stepped back and laughed. Endeavor looked at the crazed man before him.
“You really aren’t that smart are you, Enji?” He said as he turned his gaze back to the other Alpha. He walked back over and pressed the blade to Endeavor’s neck.
“Since you can’t seem to clue in on a situation, I’ll tell you what’s going to happen, ya dig, listener?” He spoke using his old phrase from his pro hero days before he fully committed to the Yakuza. The scent of fear was emitting strongly from Endeavor as he watched Hizashi show his true colors.
“Your confrontation to threaten me by taking my mate just because I left them for a few moments to get us food was a wrong move on your part, Enji. Now you’re going to pay for what you did and I’ll make sure you never threaten to steal another Alpha’s mate again.” Hizashi told him and knocked the man out with some chloroform in a small cloth that Hizashi had pressed to his mouth and nose while Hizashi told him what was going to happen. He dragged Endeavor’s body into the middle of the woods to a small wooden cabin that he had built out there when he first was recruited into Gang Orca’s family. He would go out there to spend his ruts when he was younger. He hadn’t been to his cabin in a few years since he started the radio talk show. He didn’t like the bugs that were around the place but the seclusion was convenient for him this time as he was going to remove Endeavor from the scene to ensure your safety. Hizashi unlocked the door and dragged Endeavor’s unconscious body into the cabin before locking the door behind him. He set Endeavor’s body up in a chair and made sure to tie him up before he sat down to wait for him to wake up. He sat down on the old bed that he would sleep on and texted Kurogiri about the update and that he could sabotage the footage of him and Endeavor walking along the wall.
About an hour passed before Endeavor woke up. Hizashi noticed him stirring and waited for him to come to full consciousness.
“Glad you’re finally awake, Enji. Took you long enough.” Hizashi told him.
“Where are we? Why did you bring me here? What did you mean by making me pay for threatening you?” The enraged man asked.
“All you need to know now is that you messed up big time. I’m going to make you pay for threatening to take my love from me.” Hizashi spoke as he stood up and walked over to Endeavor. He held the same knife he had earlier spinning around in his fingers. The blonde held the knife still and ran the handle up Endeavor’s chest.
“No wonder the ladies go crazy over you. You’re built like a tank.” He noted and then used the blade to slice open his modified suit. The blade nicked his skin a bit and the blonde smirked. He teased other parts of Endeavor’s bare chest with the blade of his knife and pressed the cold metal into his skin a bit until he bled.
“You’re gonna die, Enji. You have stolen enough Omegas from everyone It’s time you were removed. Threatening me was the last straw. Kugo gave me permission to take the means necessary to make sure you’re disposed of.” Hizashi told the clearly frightened man.
“I’m sorry for what I’ve done. I will change.” Endeavor tried to plead. Hizashi chuckled and looked back at him.
“Sorry isn’t gonna cut it. Your life ends tonight.” He said and made another small cut on his chest. Endeavor hissed and tried to move away.
“Now I can make this look like an accident or make it look like you were murdered. It’s how you behave is how it’s gonna look. So, I suggest that you better behave.” Hizashi warned. Endeavor didn’t believe him and tried to activate his flames. For some reason he couldn’t. Hizashi looked across the room to his friend and accomplice, Shouta Aizawa. He was using his quirk to cancel out Endeavor’s flames. Hizashi came closer to Endeavor and ran the blade across his cheek which made more blood leak out. The blonde hummed and made another cut but this time ran the blade across his collarbone. Endeavor hissed again in pain and the former hero pressed the blade to his neck.
“Do you want your throat to be slit? It does seem fitting for someone like you to die by your throat being cut so no one can hear you scream out in pain. What do you think Shou?” He asked his friend who was still hiding in the shadows of the cabin. Endeavor had a terrified look imprinted on his face as Shouta gave his opinion that the man before them needed a few more stab wounds and cuts before he was killed.
“You’re right. Gotta make it look real. Like he actually struggled before he died.” Hizashi noted before proceeding to gag Endeavor’s mouth so his screams of pain wouldn’t be heard. He then drove the blade of his knife deep into Endeavor’s body. Blood splattered onto the blonde as Endeavor was stabbed.
“Making quite the mess there, Enji. I’m going to have to clean this up before I return to Y/N.” Hizashi said as the former hero lay in front of him bleeding out.
“And now for the finishing touch.” Hizashi said as he ran the blade deep into the hero’s neck and watched as the blood spilled from his neck and the life left his body. Hizashi stepped back and took a picture with his phone before He motioned to Shouta to help him untie the corpse and carry it outside where Kurogiri was standing waiting for them to come out. Kurogiri had already dug the grave for Endeavor. Hizashi and Shouta carried the body and placed it into the hole and began to bury Endeavor’s corpse. When all the dirt was replaced and his body was finally buried, Hizashi panted then smiled wide.
“Y/N is finally safe.” He said under his breath. Shouta looked up at his friend and asked what he had said.
“Y/N is finally safe and she won’t ever be threatened to be taken from me again.” He spoke. Shouta smiled.
“You should go get cleaned up and go back to her. Kurogiri and I got this covered.” He suggested. Hizashi nodded and Kurogiri opened a warp gate for him to go back to his room.
Hizashi snuck into his room to make sure not to disturb you. He slipped into his bathroom and stripped down to shower off the blood, sweat and dirt that had covered his body. He turned on the shower and stepped in to clean himself off. He finished and got changed into a pair of sweatpants and slid back into the nest with you. You woke up a little and looked at him.
“Hizashi? Where did you go? It’s the middle of the night.” You said quietly.
“I had a late-night task that the boss wanted me to do.” He told you. You took the information even though you were grumpy and tired and you desperately wanted cuddles.
“Next time tell me when you’re gonna leave in the middle of the night instead of just leaving, ok? Also, you smell good. Did you shower?” You asked.
“Yes. I got dirty and smelly on the job. So, I got cleaned up just for you princess.” He told you and kissed you.
“Go back to sleep, I’m here and I’m going to keep you safe.” He told you and pulled you close to him. You hummed and nuzzled into his bare chest as he pulled a blanket back over you and kissed your head. You were safe now. Safe and his. His and his alone.
The next morning you woke up and nuzzled your Alpha awake. He woke up and gazed down at you.
“Morning, baby girl.” He told you and pressed a kiss into your forehead.
“Hungry. Want pancakes please.” You requested.
“As you wish, princess.” He told you and left the nest to again go down to the dining hall and bring you the breakfast that you requested. Even though there were few people awake at this hour, the man seemed in a more relaxed state and approached Lunch Rush and gave him your order. All Might noticed his relaxed appearance and approached him.
“You seem more relaxed today. That’s a good thing, isn’t it?” He asked the other man.
“Yes. Y/N is helping a bit with my rut.” Hizashi responded sheepishly. He had to keep his cover about Endeavor and what had taken place last night. His view glanced over to Gang Orca who had nodded at him in approval of what he had done the night before as Kurogiri had told him after he and Aizawa finished up burying the body. Hizashi relaxed for a second before All Might spoke again.
“Where is Endeavor? He usually doesn’t sleep in this late.” He noted. Hizashi’s eyes snapped open and looked at him. He looked over to his boss for some help as he hadn’t come up with a cover story.
“Toshinori, Enji decided to leave our ranks. He was kicked out and is to never be heard of again. For all we know he skipped town and is living on his private island that he still has from the days when we were all Pro Heroes. I suggest that you don’t go looking for him.” Gang Orca explained.
“I guess it’s better that way. He was a cause of tension for everyone.” All Might said. Hizashi relaxed and silently thanked Gang Orca before he left the dining hall to go back to you. He slid back into the nest and gave you your pancakes and eggs. You sat up and poked at your eggs before you ate them along with your pancakes. Hizashi smiled and drank his smoothie.
“What are we going to do today?” You asked him.
“I think we’re going to stay here at the house. We can watch movies though.” He said and set his empty cup on the seat of the chair. He pulled you into his lap and you cuddled into him. He kissed your hair and rubbed your back.
“How do you feel, princess? I wonder if you’re pregnant.” He wondered out loud. You looked at him and pulled away a bit.
“I don’t think I am… I’m still in heat too. I know you banged me pretty good last night but I want to ensure that I will be carrying your litter.” You told him. He nodded and kissed you deeply. He laid you down on the blanket and kissed your neck.
“If you’re not pregnant now you will be when we’re done.” He told you. You nodded and reached up to bite on his neck. It was a weak attempt but Hizashi found it cute.
“Did you want to mark me, princess?” He asked. You huffed and nodded. He looked at you as you were frowning. You looked adorable when you were frustrated.
“You’re adorable when you frown like that. Don’t worry, princess. I’ll let you mark me. I find it cute.” He told you as he rolled his neck to the side and sat up with you in his lap. You stared at the spot on his neck and reached up to bite the spot and growl cutely as you sunk your teeth in. He smiled and let you mark him. You pulled away and nuzzled the spot on his neck to leave your scent there.
“Good job, Princess. Now I’m yours.” He told you. You smiled and laid back down on the blanket. He kissed you deeply and pushed your shirt up and your short shorts down. He noticed your slick already pooling underneath you.
“You’re definitely still in heat, baby girl. Let’s get you nice and full of my litter~.” He said and slid his length into you and groaned as he felt your walls clench around him.
“Someone’s already needy, huh? Beg for it, princess.” He told you. You whined and shut your eyes closed as you just wanted the need for friction and release. You huffed and bucked your hips in need as you released more of your slick on his cock. He held your hips still so you couldn’t move.
“I’m not moving and neither are you. Not until you beg for me to knock you up.” He told you. You whimpered and opened your eyes.
“There’s those pretty eyes of yours. You know what you have to do to get me to thrust.” He encouraged you as he ran his fingers up and down your thighs. You gulped down a moan and looked up at him.
“Please, I want you to give me you litter. I need it please!” You cried out and he kissed you again before pulling you into a mating press. He began to thrust slowly in and out as he began to hit that one spot that would make you see stars each time that he thrusted against you with his piercings. You proceeded to let out the noises you had held in during the unbearable time that he had held still and teased you by pressing his knot into you and getting stuck in your tight hole. He kept thrusting at a slow pace to draw out your orgasm. You whimpered and bucked your hips again as you craved release. The sucking and popping sound of his knot sliding in and out of your wet hole. He groaned as he could feel your silken walls tightening around his length. He kissed your thighs as he thrusted deeper until he was penetrating your womb. He leaned forward to capture you in a kiss when he thrusted knot-deep into you and released. He cried out with his quirk activated and you covered your ears. He panted and looked down at you.
“Princess? What’s wrong?” He asked as a look of concern spread across his face as he registered your scared form and your hands over your ears.
“Y- you were a bit l-loud.” You told him quietly. He pulled your hands away from your ears and saw that there was some blood coming from your ears. Your ears were ringing from the loud noise. His eyes widened and he held you close.
“I’m so sorry. I never want to hurt you like that.” He told you as tears fell from his eyes and fell onto your shirt.
“Hizashi, I’ll be ok. I just need a couple days to heal up and I’ll be fine.” You told him with a smile. He shook his head.
“You’re going to need more than that. I have pain meds in the bathroom, some washcloths and some noise cancelling headphones you can wear.” He told you.
“Ok. I’ll wait here.” You responded. He kissed your head and went to the bathroom to retrieve the medical supplies needed to help you heal. He came back with a bottle of painkillers, the warm compress, and a pair of soft earmuffs to keep your ears covered until they were healed. Hizashi wiped the blood off of your skin with a wet washcloth. He then gave you some pain meds with plenty of fluids. He then put warm compresses on your ears and held them in place with the earmuffs. He pulled you into his lap and held you close. He rubbed circles on your back until you fell asleep on his chest. He laid down on the blanket and pulled a blanket over you. He watched you sleep for a bit before he let himself fall asleep as well... He could relax now as you were safe even though he caused your ears to bleed.
About two weeks into staying at the estate, the living situation had gotten better and Endeavor had been just about forgotten. But you were currently doubled over and puking into the toilet. Your ears had healed a few days ago, thanks to your boyfriend’s constant love and care. But you have developed morning sickness, seemed more tired than usual, and you had put on some weight. Hizashi had noticed these things too. The idea that you might be pregnant was on both of your minds. But you wanted to be checked out. Hizashi only trusted Recovery Girl to check you out so he carried you down to her office and set you on the table for you to be checked out. Recovery Girl came over and gave Hizashi the option of stepping out of the room and he refused. He wanted to support you in every situation that you encountered. Recovery Girl had you use the bathroom and pee into the little cup that she gave you. You came back a few minutes later with the cup and gave it to her. She shooed the two of you off so she could run the tests needed on the urine. Hizashi picked you back up and carried you out of the infirmary wing. You still felt yucky so he took you back to the room and let you rest in the nest. He held you in his lap while you slept and waited for a response from Recovery Girl. Soon a text appeared on his phone from Recovery Girl. It read:
‘I finished the tests and they all came out positive. Y/N is pregnant, congratulations. You might want to talk with Gang Orca about getting supplies for your little ones.’
Hizashi smiled and you woke up to look at him.
“What is it, Hizashi?” You asked him sleepily. You laid your head on his chest and he showed you the text from Recovery Girl. You read it and sat up.
“I guess it really did work, huh?” You told him.
“Yes. It did. I’ll talk to the Boss later about getting a pass to go into the city and buy you the things necessary for our babies. Recovery Girl can give you the checkups you need and will help you with the delivery. I’ll be here too throughout the whole thing. I love you, baby girl.” He told you and kissed your head.
“This reminds me of something. I have a small cabin out in the woods that I used to go spend my ruts at back in the day, how would you like to go see it?” He asked. You nodded excitedly and got up to get changed. He chuckled and watched you leave the nest and go to your dresser to pick out some clothes. Everything was falling into place for his plan for the two of you and your future babies. Once you were dressed, he got out of the nest and put his shoes on to take you down to the woods on the grounds in the estate. He carried you to the woods with the excuse of ‘that you were dizzy earlier’ and he didn’t want you to fall and hurt yourself. You agreed and nuzzled into his neck as he carried you into the woods. He stopped when he arrived at the cabin and you wiggled to be set down so you could explore.
“Don’t go too far, ok?” He warned you and you nodded. You proceeded to walk around the cabin and peek into the windows. Hizashi was calm knowing that Aizawa and Kurogiri helped him clean up Endeavor’s blood and change out some of the old blankets and pillows for some new ones. You saw them and wanted to make a nest with them immediately. Hizashi looked at you and you whined.
“What’s wrong, baby girl?” He asked you.
“I need to nest. There’s soft things in there and I wanna make a safe place with them please!?” You asked him with an urgent tone in your voice. He caved in and let you inside the cabin to which you ran into the blankets and pillows and began to construct your new bed. He came into the cabin and let the door open along with a couple windows to air out the place as it seemed a little musty. You squealed and purred as you made a nest around the bed in the corner and you pulled a blanket onto the bed and curled up in it.
“I know you just got comfortable, princess, but I have a surprise for you and it’s outside.” He told you. You peeked your head out of your blanket and scrambled out of the blanket and went outside. Hizashi followed you and you were darting around trying to find the surprise. You came back to him and huffed.
“Where is it?” You whined.
“Over here, princess.” He told you and led you to the side of the cabin where a small flower patch was. In one part was a patch of your favorite flower growing. There were three other patches of flowers that were growing as well and you smiled. You walked over to the patch of flowers that caught your eye. You turned back and grinned back at your Alpha.
“How did you know that these were my favorite?” You asked him.
“You told me on one of our dates. I just happened to remember.” He told you. You walked back over to him and hugged him. You looked to the other patches of flowers and hummed.
“What are the other ones for?” You asked him.
“They’re ones that my friends like. Three of them anyways. The Sunflowers are mine. The daisies are for Shouta, the grape hyacinths are for Kurogiri and the roses are for Midnight.” He explained to you. You nodded and cuddled him.
“Thank you for the flowers, Hizashi.” You told him. He smiled and picked you up to carry you inside of the cabin. He set you in your nest to get settled. He went into the kitchen to boil some water to make tea for the both of you. You got settled in your nest and looked out the window to watch some birds in a tree. Hizashi watched the water boil and glanced over to you. You were happy. He was happy. You were safe here in the cabin. You were his and his alone. No one and nothing could change that. He was sure of it.

“Amethyst”
“Is this it?” Lia asked the moment her feet touched ground and her eyes looked at the big building in front of her. When JJ didn’t respond, she turned to face him and he was holding his head with his eyes closed. “C’mon, don’t be a little baby. That’s nothing compared to the portal.”
“Well! It’s still fucked up!” JJ said loudly but seconds later regretted it since his head started to hurt.
“C’mon, JJ, let’s go inside so you can sh-“ Lia was saying but when a couple of teens walked inside the mall while laughing and what seemed to be a good time, she stopped and quickly walked to a corner where it was hidden from the street.
“Wait- Lia!” JJ yelled but Lia had quick feet, so she was already gone from his sight. “What are you doing?” JJ asked her confused when he arrived to where she was clearly hiding.
“Those teens! They were at my classes when I was going to the OBX high school.” Lia said worried.
“So?” JJ looked back at the teens talking in a circle in front of the giant glass door of the mall.
“They can’t see me! They can’t know I’m back. My stay here has to be almost invisible, the less people know I’m here, the less possibilities are that they know I’m here.”
“They?” JJ asked.
“Yes, they. The people that know about everyone who leaves Halloween Town. The more people that know I’m here, the more energy it creates, so we have to keep it on the low.” Lia said and then closed her eyes. “Now what? Damn! I didn’t think I would ran into these people.”
“Can you just... make yourself go invisible?” JJ waved his hands around referring to Lia’s body.
“There’s not a spell for that, there’s a potion.” Lia said.
“Well? Do you have the potion?”
Lia took a second to respond since she closed her eyes completely disappointed with herself. “No. Fuck! Ok, Lia, think! Think!”
JJ turned around and when a little boy with a Christmas hat on, left the mall an idea came into his mind. “I got it.”
“What?” Lia waited for JJ to respond but a smirk appeared on his face.
“Lia, please, trust the mortal.” JJ said remembering all those times she had said to him to trust the witch.
“And when did that take anyone somewhere?” Lia responded but JJ didn’t answer, he just winked at her and then turned around leaving Lia behind.
⋆ ⋆
Thirty minutes had passed since JJ went inside the mall and left Lia waiting for him. She was starting to get impatient, her foot was going quickly up and down while her arms were crossed around her chest.
“Where the hell is he?” She asked almost in a whisper to herself.
“Miss me?” Lia heard JJ ask behind her so she quickly turned around.
“Where the hell did you come from?”
“I always find a way to avoid security.” JJ said proudly. “Here, have this.” In that second, JJ pulled from behind a big suit that had the colours red and white. It was all fluffy and inside of it could fit three Lia’s at the same time.
“What for?” Lia asked confused, not fully understanding what JJ was talking about.
“For you, to put it on so people don’t recognise you.” JJ handed the suit to Lia but she didn’t took it, she just kept looking at it and then back at JJ repeatedly. That’s when she realised it was a Santa Claus suit.
“Tell me you’re not serious.”
“I’m a 100% serious.” JJ said with a smile, and Lia could tell how much he was enjoying this.
“It’s still November!” Lia complained the moment she grabbed the suit from JJ’s hand. “Why do you have this?”
“I stole it.” JJ said quickly but when Lia locked eyes with him a little bit concerned, JJ added even more quickly: “Burrowed. C’mon, we can put it back after we use it. No big deal.”
“And by we,” Lia said while putting the suit on “you mean; me, with my magic.”
JJ nodded. “Yeah, kinda.” Lia rolled her eyes. “What? Easier!”
“Yeah! You’re not doing anything!” Lia was now struggling with the big suit.
“I got you the suit! It was my idea.” JJ said proudly of himself.
“Alright.” Lia took a deep breath out when the suit was on and tried to reach the zipper on her back, but her tiny arms weren’t long enough. “A little help here?” Lia asked and JJ quickly turned to her.
“Oh, right.” JJ nodded walking closer to her and grabbing the zipper to slowly pull it up. “When I get ask to pull a girl’s zipper up I would like it to be a dress, you know, something more sexy. Not a Santa Claus suit.” JJ said jokingly but Lia didn’t hesitate when she turned around the moment he finished to hit him with a part of the suit that was hanging off her hand. “Ouch!” JJ complained.
“You deserved that.” Lia said. “You should be thankful that I used the suit against you and not my magic.”
JJ nodded. “True. Hey, don’t forget this.” From the pockets of his shorts, he pulled off a white long beard and a red pointy hat.
“I hate this.” Lia said after letting out a big sigh. JJ tried to hold on a laughter but when Lia took the beard and the hat out of his hand, he quickly looked away and bit his lower to hold it in. “How do I look?” Lia asked so JJ turned around to look at her. Even if she had a huge red and white suit on, a white beard and a pointy hat that made her look even more taller, she still was one of the most beautiful girls JJ had ever seen.
“Alright.” JJ said, brushing away all of his thoughts away. “Now, follow me.”
“No.” Lia quickly shook her head. “I ain’t climbing anything. C’mon, hold my hand.” Lia reached her hand for him to hold.
JJ let out a tiny sigh. “Not that again.”
“Yeah. That again, Maybank.”
⋆ ⋆
“Ugh. Will I ever get used to that?” JJ asked the moment his feet touched ground and he grabbed his head in pain.
“Probably not.” Lia said not faced at all from the transportation.
“Hopeful.” JJ said sarcastically. He opened his eyes and realized that they were now inside the mall, at a corner where nobody could see them. It was almost dark to the point that it was hard tro see something else than Lia next to him. When he walked closer to the end of the corner, JJ noticed people walking around with smiles on their faces, little kids holding hands with their parents being the most happy they’ve ever been, that made JJ wonder when was the last time he felt something like that.
“C’mon, where is it?” Lia said turning to him after looking around and analysing their surroundings.
“This way.” JJ said before walking out of the dark corner. He took steps like he knew where he was going, even if he didn’t stepped inside that mall in his life. But everything his eyes were seeing it was like he knew what it was. Every store, every corner, every little detail. He knew where he had to go, like the palm of his hand. How? Before he could say anything else, Lia spoke next to him.
“Is it illegal to make everyone go blind?” Lia asked jokingly while looking at everyone staring at her confused with her Santa Claus suit on. JJ was so focused on his thoughts and how weird he felt, that he forgot the fact that Lia was wearing a costume. He let out a laugh but quickly closed his mouth when Lia almost killed him with her eyes.
“Sorry, but you look hilarious.” He said.
“I save your soul from a horrible creature and you do this?” Lia asked. “Wow. What a move.”
JJ without hesitating, let his arm go around her shoulders. Lia felt her heart starting to beat a little bit faster. She tried to not let her emotions change her expression but the fact that he got even closer to her, made it even more impossible.
“C’mon, if you hadn’t saved me, you wouldn’t be enjoying this awesome friendship. We make a good team, if you ask me. Lia and JJ, kicking ass.” Lia let out a tiny laugh when she saw JJ with a proud smile on his face. “The witch,” JJ pointed at Lia “and the mortal, who’s very good looking and... well, has a witch friend.”
“Having a witch friend is awesome, give yourself way more credit for that.” Lia said with a smile.
JJ nodded. “Yeah, that’s cool.”
“Oh, there it is!” Lia said when she saw the big sign that said ‘Amethyst: the psychic’. It was on a dark corner where not a lot of people naturally walked through. It made JJ hairs to go up and feel a little shiver on his body. It was black and had purple curtains all over the windows, not letting your see anything of the inside from the outside. It definitely gave JJ the creeps, but it seemed that Lia didn’t feel the same way about the place, since she immediately walked inside the store, soon followed by a less confident JJ.
“Hello?” Lia asked once inside. JJ looked around and noticed that the place looked even more dark, it had a crystal ball that JJ was used to seeing on movies, zodiac cards, and other kind of stuff that he didn’t know what they were or what they did.
“I knew you were coming, Cromwell.” A slow voice of a woman spoke from behind some dark purple curtains. They both looked to where the voice came from to see some black long nails moving the curtain away to let a woman walk through. The had black and purple braids all over her head, shiny lips and some pretty dark eyes. Her jewellery made a loud noise every time she moved a single part of her body, her longs necklaces and million bracelets were as colourful as her clothes, her skirt that would touch the ground and her little yellow top, that would let you see a belly piercing, shiner than any other thing JJ had ever seen. “Nice outfit.” The woman said looking Lia up and down with a funny little smile on her face. Lia immediately took her beard and hat, to put them on the floor. “Who is your friend?” The women asked looking at JJ. For the second time, he felt his body shiver for the fact that the women seemed to be penetrating him with her eyes, and then looked at him like she knew all of his secrets.
“Don’t play, you already know.” Lia said confidently and the women let out a smirk.
“You look just like your grandmother.” She said while walking closer to the table that was in the middle of the room, and then sat down to play with the cards on the table. “How is she, by the way?” She asked without taking her eyes away from her cards.
“Hanging there.” Lia said. JJ noticed the look on Lia’s face, for some reason he got the impression that she didn’t fully trusted the psychic (or the witch?). Lia kept looking around and the going back to the woman, who was still playing with a cheeky smile on her face. “She told me to-“
“Come here to see where to go next.” The woman said and then locked eyes with Lia, but with her face still looking down. “I helped your grandmother a lot, back in the day.”
Lia grabbed JJ’s hand to walk with him closer to the chairs in front of the woman. His steps wanted to be slow since he felt so unsure of his surroundings, but Lia made him walk confidently until they were sat down on the chairs. They way that Lia was still holding his hand made him feel a little bit safer, but at the same time, it was something more than that. The same way he felt when she touched his knee back in Halloween Town, something about her touch made him feel different, made him feel good.
“You’re really her, aren’t you?” Lia asked after a couple of seconds in silence. The woman stopped playing with her cards and took in a little breath. “You’re not her daughter, you’re her, the real Amethyst.”
“I hope the things you’re grandmother told you about me were good.” Amethyst said softly with a little smile on her face.
“She would always told me about you guys’ adventures when you two were young. You were really close friends.”
“We were more than just friends...” Amethyst said in a tone that made them both, Lia and JJ, realise that she was having those memories back in her mind. “But back in those days, two witches together?” She slowly shook her head. “Men felt threatened by us.” She said almost in a whisper but not the calming one, instead the one that was powerful to scare a grown man.
“Is that a bad thing?” Lia asked and a bigger smile appeared on Amethyst’s face. The way that the two women smiled at each other, made JJ feel worried for his own sake, specially since two witch women were talking about threatening men. “What happened between you two? She always avoids talking about what happened in the end.”
“We had to part from one another, unfortunately. I never saw your grandmother in person again, we talked over letters, but, then figured it was going to be more painful if we kept it going. So, we stopped. Moved on with our lives. She married, I moved here, and that’s it.” Amethyst looked down and carried on playing with her cards. “She was my first and only love.” She said softly.
“I’m sorry you couldn’t be together, back then.” JJ, for the first time, talked. The way that Amethyst told the story about her and Evanora, made him forget about the frightening of the place, and the creeps that the woman gave him. But when she looked back at him, a little bit of all of that came back. Even if she gave him a little compassionate smile.
“Thank you, mortal boy.”
“But why don’t you go back and see my grandma? Things are different now.” Lia suggested but the smile that Amethyst had on her face turned into a sad one.
“I would love to. But the fear that she doesn’t feel the same way as I do, would break my heart even more than just staying here, with my own self.”
“You would never know if you don’t go and see her.” Lia said and that made Amethyst let out a tiny breath before leaving the cards against the table.
“That’s enough about me, child. You’re not here for that.”
“I’m not.”
“Then, c’mon, give me your hand.” Amethyst reached her hand for Lia to grab, and then the other one for JJ to hold. He looked at her surprised and concerned than she also wanted for his hand. He was used to being the one waiting around for the witches to do the magical tasks. “C’mon, mortal boy, I don’t bite.” Amethyst said in a tone that JJ couldn’t fully understand if she was saying sarcastically or not. Lia noticed the concerned on JJ’s eyes so she couldn’t help but let out a tiny laugh. He turned to her still worried about what was about to happen, but when Lia squeezed his arm and gave him a funny smile, his heart started to beat back to normal.
“Now, I want you two to be calm and breathe normally, calmly and slowly.” Amethyst said. “Your guys’ energy is all I need.”
The moment she said that, JJ turned to Lia to see if she was about to indicate him something to do, but she didn’t turn to him. She kept looking at Amethyst, waiting for her next move. That’s when JJ looked back at Amethyst, but her face wasn’t the same. JJ widen his eyes at the surprise of seeing the state of the woman, her eyes were rolled back, the purple of her hair was now gold and it was sparkling. She was letting out a big breaths with her mouth slightly opened. JJ turned to Lia concerned, but Lia’s expression didn’t change, she was looking at Amethyst like if was the most normal thing she had ever seen.
Seconds later, Amethyst let out a another loud breath when her eyes went back to normal and the purple went back to her hair. For the first time since they walked into the store, she didn’t have that confident look on her face and eyes, she looked... terrified.
“What did you see, Amethyst?” Lia asked realising the horror in her eyes.
“Oh, my dear child.” Amethyst said softly looking at Lia with worried eyes. “The dark times are going to be back if we don’t stop it.”
“Dark times?” JJ asked looking at Lia and Amethyst back and forth, but this two women didn’t seem to bother on explaining what ‘Dark times’ they were talking about, since the horror cut their breaths.
“How can we stop it?” Lia asked firmly after a couple of seconds in silence.
Amethyst, that was looking down, locked eyes with Lia and then took a comforting breath.
“It’s time you learn about your family’s profecy.” The moment she said those words, she went back to open those purple curtains and started to look for something in old brown boxes.
JJ turned to Lia to see how she processed the fact that her family had a profecy, but by the look on her face, I looked like she didn’t at all.
“My family has a profecy?” She asked softly more to herself than to anyone else. “Amethyst?” She called the woman’s name, but she didn’t answered. She kept looking for something around the store. “Please, Amethyst.” Lia begged for the woman’s attention. JJ never saw her like that, horrified and confused at the same time. What was going through her mind? JJ thought to himself. He had a lot of questions, but unfortunately, Lia did too. “Amethyst!” Lia lifted her hand into the air and that’s when JJ noticed that Amethyst stopped moving. But not because she heard Lia calling her name, but because she couldn’t move at all. With fear on his eyes, JJ turned to the woman and then at Lia, who was trying to take her breathing back to normal.
Lia‘s eyes were wide open when she realized what she had done, so she slowly let her hand go down. Once Amethyst let out a breath, she went back to where Lia and JJ where.
“I’m sorry.” Lia apologised still looking down embarrassed of her sudden action.
“Nothing to be sorry about, my child. I know the dark times took away your parents.” Amethyst said almost in a whisper. “And I let fear took over my body, let me explain to you what I saw.” Lia nodded and without even thinking about it, afraid of the woman’s next words, she took JJ’s hand and squeezed it hard. Lia didn’t notice what she did, but JJ certainly did. He looked down when his heart dropped to his stomach. He was starting to get worried because of all of these sudden strong feeling towards her, he didn’t remember them being like this. What changed?
“I saw power in your future, Lia. And not the kind you have right now.”
“What kind?” Lia asked quickly.
“I’m not the right person to explain it to you, because I don’t know the story of it all.”
“Then who is?”
“The profecy.” Lia didn’t answered immediately, she just went into her thoughts while looking at the table. Then, with quick and firm eyes, looked back at Amethyst.
“Where can I see this profecy?”
“The thing that can help you, that’s what I was looking for. But that’s not all I saw. I saw someone. A partner.”
“A partner?” Lia asked confused. “For what?”
“To defeat the darkness. He’s going to be there for you, by your side, fighting it.”
“He?” JJ asked.
Amethyst locked eyes with JJ and gave him a little smirk. “Yes, he.”
“Do you know how he looks like? Or where can I find him?” Lia asked hoping that Amethyst had the answer, but she just slowly shook her head.
“No, my child. All I know is that this partner, is a man. The profecy will tell you all you need to know. And more.”
⋆ ⋆
JJ felt guilty since all he could think about was Amethyst’s words about Lia’s future partner. The weird feeling on his stomach and chest was unbearable and he wanted it to stop, but when her words came back to his head all of these feeling were all over the place and that made him feel like an asshole since Lia was going through something bigger on her mind.
“I can’t believe my family has a profecy.” She said more to herself than to him. “Amethyst said that this is going to take me to the thing I want the most.” She took out of the back pocket of the suit, a brown old compass to open it and see how the little arrow was already pointing to where Lia had to go next.
“Where do you think it leads?” JJ asked looking at where the arrow was pointing.
“I don’t know.” Lia shook her head without taking her eyes from the compass. “Probably to where I can see the profecy. That’s all I want right now.” JJ nodded locking at Lia, but she didn’t turn to him. She couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that she always thought that she knew everything about her family’s past. Suddenly, everything she knew now it had a black space. What was this profecy about? Was it about her? Her parents? Or someone that she didn’t know belonged to her family? All those questions and not a single answer. Maybe the profecy had it all, or at least, that’s what Lia hoped.
The moment Lia’s and JJ’s feet touched the ground of the house Lia stepped when she came back again to Outer Banks, the Chateau, she walked inside like she owned the place, with a head full of thoughts not knowing what she was actually doing. JJ followed her and the moment they both walked through the door, JJ hoped that his friends weren’t around, and luckily, they were nowhere to be seen.
“Fuck!” Lia yelled looking down. “We forgot to give the suit back!”
“Don’t worry about it, they won’t even notice it’s gone.” JJ shook his head while Lia was taking the Santa Claus suit off to put it aside on the floor.
“It’s just- my mind is full right now!” Lia said loudly. “I mean, a profecy? My family? What does that even mean? Does my grandma and cousin know?” She was rambling while walking around whith JJ following her with his eyes. “If they did, why the fuck didn’t they tell me? What’s the point? I hate having SO MUCH questions and not being able to get the answers! Yes, we have this fucking compass, but what about it? Where is it going to take me? Is it here? Is it on the other side of the world? WHERE? And to add to all of that, WHO THE FUCK IS THIS PARTNER? WHO IS HE? WHY DO I NEED A MAN TO FIGHT WITH ME? I CAN HANDLE THIS ON MY OWN! JJ!” The moment that Lia called his name he widen his eyes worried for his own sake, since his witch friend was going crazy in front of him. But when she locked eyes with him, she let out a tiny breath and then asked more calmly. “Do you have any water?” JJ nodded relived that water was all she wanted and not destroy the whole house, or worst, turn him into a turtle or something. “My mouth is a dessert right now.”
“Yeah, I got you.” JJ said when he took out of the refrigerator a bottle of water and handed it to Lia. She thanked him with a smile and without waiting another second, she took the bottle of water to her mouth.
They both enjoyed the silence that now surrounded the room. JJ still didn’t know what to say to Lia, and she noticed that since he refused to make eye contact with her. She understood, of course. This was all new for him, having to deal with witches and profecies. The fact that he was willing to do all of this, not knowing or understanding anything of her world, meant even more to her than he could ever imagine. But she didn’t want the thought of him getting hurt because of her. Lia knew that JJ loved her world and everything she was capable of doing, she noticed that on his voice when they both talked. Being able to be by her side while on this adventure, in his eyes, was the best thing that has ever happened to him. And Lia knew that. She wanted him on her side, that was for sure, but keeping him safe was more important then the fear of going through all of this alone. She needed to protect him, so when the moment she decided to tell him that this was it for him, broke her heart.
“JJ-” she said but was cut off by a loud noise that came from behind the house. They both looked at each other confused and waited for the noise to hit their ears again. But since after a couple of seconds of silence surrounding the room, they both brushed it off thinking that maybe was something from a far and not near the house. But when Lia felt the hairs on her arm to lift up, she knew something was wrong. And then, another loud noise came from the same place, but this time, closer. They both got up not saying a word to walk outside and check the strange noise. With quick steps, they both walked around the house to get to the back of it, where the supposed noise was. But when they arrived, nothing was there. The only thing that their eyes saw was a couple or birds flying around and the trees being moved by the wind.
“What the hell was that?” JJ asked, but Lia didn’t answer, because she still had in mind that something was going on since her hairs lifted up and had that gut feeling, they were never wrong. And this wasn’t going to be an exception. When JJ turned around after seeing that everything was normal, the same loud noise hit their ears but this time, it wasn’t just a noise.
“The fuck-?” JJ asked when the ground started shaking. Lia grabbed JJ’s arm for better balance but she was still looking in front of her, ready for anything that was coming her way.
Then, when a piece of ground started to lift up, Lia pulled JJ behind her since her mind already knew what was about to happen.
“Lia, what is going on?” JJ asked her but she didn’t answer immediately. Seconds later, an arm covered in mud came out of the ground. Next, another arm, a head, and then an entire body appeared from the ground covered in mud.
“Ew.” Lia said after letting out a big sigh. JJ widen his eyes worried and surprised at what his eyes were seeing. The creature let out a big and heavy scream, shaking the walls of the house and hurting the ears of JJ and Lia. “Lia! What- What the hell is that?!” JJ asked with his voice cracked and freaking out when the tall creature started slowly walking towards them with mud dripping from his body.
“It’s a demon.” Lia said looking at it still pulling JJ behind her.
“A DEMON?!” JJ yelled with his eyes even more wide open.
“Yes, JJ, a demon. It’s called Daemonium Terram, it’s a ground demon, basically. It can shot you mud from a short distance and it’s extremely strong. It can kill you with his pinky.” Lia said like it was nothing, but JJ was freaking out on the inside while his heart was beating faster than any race car he had ever seen on TV.
“Tell me something good, please!” JJ said with his eyes glued to the disgusting demon.
“Well... it’s made out of mud.”
“So?!”
“All we need is water.” Lia pushed JJ back to lift her hands in front of her towards the demon still making it’s way to her. She looked at the water of the ocean next to the house and then went back to the demon with her spells already flying in her head. JJ noticed how the water started shaking, and then like it was being lifted by the wind, it quickly moved towards the demon. Lia moved her hand to control the water and hit it, now even more closer to her than before. When the water touched it, it screamed in pain but it seemed that it wasn’t enough. Lia immediately noticed this and lifted another, but bigger, piece of water towards her. But, again, it wasn’t enough.
“JJ! We need something stronger!” She yelled at him and like a fast truck, an idea came to his head.
Lia watched how JJ ran to the front of the house and then disappeared from her sight. She went back to the demon and realized that it was already lifting it’s arm to throw some disgusting and dirty mud to Lia. But when it left it’s hand, Lia avoided it easily by putting a protective shield in front of her. One, two, three times the demon threw mud pieces at Lia. He was so fast, that she didn’t have the change to lift some water to take the demon down. But when he lifted his both hands with the intention to throw a more powerful and strong piece of mud at Lia, she just shook her head. “Oh no you won’t, this is my favorite shirt.” She was ready to fight it with her whole strength, but when the demon moved his hand to let the mud leave his hands, a loud noise of water hit her ears and that’s when JJ appeared with a strong hose and was already throwing the strong water at the demon. “Take this, you dirty demon!” JJ yelled with a proud smile on his face. Lia let out tiny laugh seeing how much he was enjoying his actions, but then went back to the demon who was progressively screaming, louder and louder.
“JJ, good job!” Lia yelled since the noise of the water hitting the demon was loud and the screams of pain didn’t give much space for their voices. “It’s getting more weaker and weaker, but we need to destroy it permanently so it goes back to hell!”
“So how do we do that?!”
“Let me!” Lia lifted her hands towards the demon and then added; “When I tell you, you turn off the hose and then cover yourself!” JJ nodded. “Keep going! Keep going! Keep going! Now, JJ!” The noise of the hose stopped once JJ turned it off and without waiting another second, Lia walked closer to the agonising demon. “STAGNO.” She said and the creature stopped moving. Lia’s hand was shaking trying to control the demon, but her face didn’t change. She had a confident face and firm eyes, that made her look even more badass. Then, when she noticed the time was right, a little smirk appeared on face before saying: “Say hi to Lucifer for me, would you?” The demon went completely silent and then, with a loud noise, the demon exploded leaving traces of mud all over the place.
Lia let out a relived breath before waving her hands to take off the excess of mud in her body. She turned to JJ who was behind her, and just like her, covered in mud.
“I told you to cover yourself.” Lia said looking down his dirty body.
“And what? Miss being showered in mud? Who would do that?” JJ said sarcastically wiping the mud off his lips.
“Yeah, this is disgusting.” Lia said but after a couple of seconds, they both bursted out in laughter because of their unlucky and unfortunate events.
⋆ ⋆
“I’m sorry for dragging you into this mess with me.” Lia said the moment they boy walked into the house and sat down in the couch, after Lia, with a quick spell, brought everything back to normal.
“Are you kidding me? This is awesome.” JJ said with a smile like a little kid. “Today when my friends come home, and they’re all like ‘Oh, what did you do today, JJ?’ I’m gonna be like: ‘Nothing much, just helped my witch friend take a mud demon back to hell.” JJ patted his own shoulder proudly and Lia let out a tiny laugh at his actions. He seemed so excited for that new adventure that it made Lia forget how actually dangerous it was. But unfortunately, that feeling wasn’t going to last forever. She needed to tell him that she was planning on doing the next move alone to protect him. She must. But for the first time, she looked around and realized that she never asked what this place was.
“Do you live here?” Lia asked after you going back to JJ.
“Kinda.”
“Kinda?” JJ scratched the back of his head and then nodded.
“Yeah.” Suddenly, he seemed different, like he didn’t want to talk about the subject. So Lia, noticing that, she slowly nodded and looked down. The question of JJ’s dad appeared back on her mind like a fast truck, it was something that wondered on her head around and around, but she didn’t know if asking was the right move. So she just kept her mouth shut.
“So,” JJ broke the silence. “Do you know why this demon attacked you?”
Lia shook her head. “Not really. All I know is that it comes from Hell, so that tells us something.”
“What?” JJ asked, not understanding what was going on on Lia’s mind.
“That something from there sent it.” JJ slowly nodded when his heart skipped a beat. The thought of something from down there sending a demon to kill Lia for whatever reason, made him feel weird. Of course, a couple of weeks ago he didn’t even know hell existed, so the news of actual demons and a place like that, made his mind feel terrified. He was still trying to figure out what was going on, so how was he feeling was unknown to himself, since everything was all over the place. “What if it has to do with the profecy?” JJ asked and Lia shrugged her shoulders.
“Maybe. I’m still trying to process all of this.” Lia let out a sigh before covering her face with her hands. The frustration was getting to her once again and JJ noticed that. So without hesitating, not knowing where his sudden confidence came from, he let his hand rest on Lia’s shoulder, to start to caress it and try to calm her down.
“I’m here for you, no matter what, Lia.” He said softly. Lia looked at him with a smile thanking him. “That’s what friends are for, right?”
“Yeah.” Lia answered almost in a whisper with her eyes glued to his.
“I’m glad I’m here with you, fighting whatever comes.” JJ let out a tiny laugh and Lia took another a long breath. JJ noticed she wanted to say something, but for some reason, she didn’t.
She didn’t know how to. How can you say to someone that you want them to stay back, after they say that to you? Is the fact that you’re doing to protect them going to ease the news? Is it? Lia never had to deal with something like this, she was used to doing things on her own, never having to deal with someone that would literally gave his life for her. For some reason, Lia’s mouth couldn’t let out the words. Her tongue was frozen, she tried to move it and let out some words, but the moment JJ looked down to her lips, everything inside of her went on freak out mode.
You have to tell him! Her brain was screaming at her over and over again. She fought with her whole strength her needs to look at his lips as well, but it won after JJ went back to her eyes. She looked down but then quickly went back to his eyes when she noticed JJ got closer to her face. Her heart was beating faster, and so was his. Neither of them knew what was going on, for the first time, they both seemed to let their bodies control their actions. It felt like it was the right time, the right time to let it happen, the need to taste each other, something that they realized they had for a long time. JJ was slowly getting closer and closer to her face, with his eyes glued to her lips, she was staying still hoping that the moment he was against her lips came sooner. But when he was ready to take the next step, uniting his lips with hers, a noise of a car parking outside the house, made the two of them separate and get up quickly from the couch. Maybe it wasn’t the right time after all.

Out For Delivery in Dallas
By Hypnofur
Tumblr media
Mid February 2021
The irony was, none of the three beings in this tale had lived in Dallas for more than a month. Brittany and Timothy Cosgrove had just purchased their expensive condo on the North side of Dallas in January. Carlos Torres had been living in El Paso Texas for a very long time, and had just recently come to the Dallas area.
None of them, actually no one in all of Texas, expected the winter blast they got in mid February. The entire state was a disaster. Texans just didn’t know how to handle winter weather. Brittany and Timothy had just moved here from Indianapolis, so to them, this wasn’t even that bad a winter storm. However, agreeing to the purchase of matching his and her’s Corvettes was part of the Brittany’s compromise to get her husband to agree to move to Dallas. Brittany had just gotten a job with one of the DFW area’s top hospitals as their chief nutritionist. More importantly, she had struck a deal with the ABC affiliate to be their on air Nutrition expert. Brittany’s ultimate goal was to parlay her beauty, and nutrition expertise, into a gig on the national scene. Good Morning America or something.
Timothy knew this, and he loved Brittany very much. He would have moved to Dallas without the Corvette deal, as he knew it was a much bigger media market than Indy. However, he was an attorney, and it was in his DNA to negotiate. Thus, the two corvettes. He of course didn’t know it was going to snow here in Texas, thus, he didn’t really care much that his luxury condo was on one of the few hills in Dallas. Corvettes did not go up hill in the snow very well.
It was about 6:00 when Brittany forced Timothy to watch the #freebrittany documentary with her on FX. She was always fascinated with Brittany Spears, due to them having the same name and being about the same age. Timothy agreed to watch it, as he had been hogging the TV with sports for a few days now. By the time the show was over, it was like 7:30, and both were starving.
Each of the young urban professionals scanned their phones for some place that would deliver. But between the weather and power outages all around, there were no good restaurants that were options. The only place open was a McDonalds two blocks away.
“No way!” Brittany laughed. “Tim, I haven’t been to a McDonalds in like 11 years. I’m not starting tonight. I’ll starve first thanks.”
“OK, but I don’t want to. Come with me, you can at least get a salad. They have those.” Tim negotiated.
“Do you know what is in those???” Brittany said, then stopped herself. She had learned a while ago that people didn’t like when she annoyingly listed all of the bad ingredients in food. “Argh, ok. I’ll take a walk with you there.” She relented with a smile.
Once there, she remembered how much she loved Orange Soda. Tim smiled, but didn’t tease her about it. She appreciated that. She actually hated being teased. She snuggled up to him as they walked out of the McDonalds and headed back to their condo through the snowy mess.
Carlos was also very hungry on this winter night. He was miserable, he absolutely hated the cold. Born in Mexico, and then spending a tremendous amount of time in El Paso, he had never had to deal with cold and snow like this. He wished he was back in Mexico this evening. Carlos’ move to Dallas wasn’t based on career advancement though, it was based on Covid-19 vaccinations. More specifically, the blood of humans who had been vaccinated.
This past year had been the worst of Carlos’ 209 on this earth. The last 150 in El Paso had been wonderful. Feeding on the blood of Mexican immigrants who crossed the border with little identification. Knowing that the secretive nature of the illegal immigrant community would stop any real deep inquisitions into mysterious deaths. It was also nice and warm. It was the perfect place for the vampire.
However, Covid-19 changed all that. Feasting on the blood of a human with Covid made him incredibly sick, for weeks at a time. Over and over everytime he bit someone with the disease. He eventually learned how to smell Covid, but only in humans that had it bad. He, like everyone else, couldn’t detect it in the asymptomatic. Therefore, also like everyone else, he was very pleased when the vaccines started coming out. Much to his pleasure, he could smell the chemicals in vaccinated humans’ blood. He could detect who was vaccinated, and who was not.
That’s why he migrated up to Dallas. People in El Paso were getting the vaccine, but it was largely the elderly. Elderly blood didn’t taste nearly as good as the blood of those in their prime. The large medical community in Dallas meant lots of people in their 20’s and 30’s who had gotten the vaccine as part of the “first responder” roll out.
Brittany and Timothy had both received their shots (both doses) in Indianapolis. Brittany got it because she worked for a hospital, and she was able to get Timothy in because of her connections. As he approached the young urban couple, Carlos could smell the Moderna in them. He had quickly come to love that scent. His mood, which had been quite dour due to the snow and ice and cold, was quickly improving. He thought he’d have a very hard time finding food tonight, but here it was being delivered right to him.
Brittany and Timothy saw the short, somewhat rotund Mexican man approaching them as they were still laughing about McDonalds. Brittany had actually gotten a refill of Orange Soda before they left. They laughed as they joked about cameras seeing them and her soda getting reported to ABC. Carlos was really caught off guard by this weather, and was wearing what would be considered “summer clothes”.
“Look at this poor guy” Timothy said to his wife. While he was a very aggressive, very greedy corporate attorney, he was also very kind and generous. That is one of the reasons Brittany loved him with her whole heart and soul.
“Are you ok my friend?” Timothy asked the man as he and his wife slowly came to a stop on the icy hill to greet the stranger who was coming up it.
“Actually, I’m very hungry and I hate the cold.” the man answered back. Neither Brittany or Timothy immediately noticed that unlike them, when he spoke, there was no steam coming from his mouth on this frigid evening.
“Here, why don’t you take my scarf and some money. There is a McDonalds two blocks North. They are open, we just came from there.” Timothy said, handing the man both his expensive scarf, and $50. Brittany had never loved him more. As she watched with love and admiration as her tall, athletic, handsome husband committed a random act of kindness for a hungry, short, poor, sexy Mexican man.
Tumblr media
Wait, why do I find that little guy sexy? Brittany suddenly asked herself. What was it about him? She studied him a little more, and as she did, she felt her pussy actually tingle a bit. God, he was hot. She had never been attracted to Hispanic guys before, especially little short fat ones. What the hell was going on? Why was he so fucking sexy? Brittany was suddenly very glad she had put a cute outfit on and decided to look good going to McDonalds.
“Do you live around here?” Carlos asked Timothy.
“Y-yes” Timothy answered, also oddly affected by the stranger as well.
“Do you own your home?” Carlos asked.
“yes” Timothy confirmed again.
Now Carlos’ mood really improved. Humans knew a lot about Vampire lore, but there were some things that they didn’t truly understand. This was very true surrounding some of the rules of being invited into a home. It could only be done by the true owner of the home. Therefore, renters could not invite a vampire in. Also, another little known fact was that a vampire could hypnotically compel his victim to invite him into their home, but only if the victim was not currently in the home. So, that meant while he couldn’t just knock on a door and get someone to invite him in, these two humans that were “out for delivery” fit the bill just perfect.
“Soy tu Maestra” Carlos said to Timothy, who understood perfectly as he stared back deep into the vampire’s eyes. “Invitame a tu casa”
“Please, won’t you come inside?” Timothy asked.
This was enough to wake Brittany from the light sexual trance she was in. She suddenly felt the coolness of her now damp panties. Wait, Tim shouldn’t invite a stranger into their home… “Tim, hold on…” she said.
“Mirame a los ojos” Carlos said to the Irish Scotish Italian American beauty who took French in high school and did not speak a lick of Spanish. Yet, her eyes immediately darted to his. She could almost feel her thoughts being unavoidably pushed aside. Even her concern over this odd situation was fading away, replaced by a growing sexual attraction, and a need to submit… to obey as he said to her, “Soy tu Maestra”
“Lead the way” Carlos directed Timothy. The husband took his wife’s hand and lead the stranger the rest of the way down the snow covered street back to their condo. Brittany continued to look back at Carlos, she couldn’t help it. He was so fascinating, so sexual. She tried to stop herself. She knew she was married, and she had truly never wanted anyone other than Timothy since they met a decade ago. But Carlos, the short, pudgy little Mexican man, was absolutely irresistible.
Carlos asked Timothy to formally invite him in once more as they reached the condo. He of course obliged. Carlos looked around as he stepped inside. First of all, it felt nice to be warm again. He was also glad he had found these two out and about in a neighborhood that actually had power. So much of Texas was in the dark. The condo was very tastefully decorated, and Carlos could quickly tell that the couple had money.
He politely asked Brittany to lock all the doors and close all the blinds, which she did immediately. She was so turned on by him that she didn’t even wonder why he was doing that. When the last of the drapes were pulled closed, he thanked her. They locked eyes. She felt her heart jump and her nipples harden. Her pussy was already soaked. She seductively walked over to him as he embraced her in a long sensual kiss. Carlos was all that mattered to her. Timothy had been forgotten.
However, Timothy had not forgotten her. The sight of his beautiful, beloved wife passionately making out with another man was enough to snap him out of his trance.
“Brittany, stop! Something is fucked up here!” Timothy shouted.
Carlos stopped kissing and glared over at Timothy. Brittany however was still kissing his face as he looked away, lovingly stroking his hair, completely in his thrall. Timothy felt a cold chill as Carlos cast his eyes upon him.
The vampire gently took Brittany’s arms and placed them down by her side as she continued to stare down Timothy, to stare down his prey. Timothy knew his life was in danger. Fight or flight kicked in, but with his wife also in trouble, he couldn’t escape. He had no choice but to fight. He lunged at the much smaller Carlos.
With supernatural quickness and strength, Carlos caught the pouncing Timothy by the neck with his hand. He then lifted him up with one arm, rising his shoes about two feet off the ground. Timothy’s eyes widened at shock as he realized the might of this beast. Carlos angrily threw Timothy over the granite kitchen island, causing him to smash the stools on the other side. With equal quickness, Carlos leapt over the island and feasted on Timothy’s neck. Quickly and efficiently, he drained the attorney of blood and life force. The vampire felt his own strength grow with each ounce.
Brittany’s kiss with Carlos had exchanged some bodily fluids between them. Even some of Carlos’ saliva in her mouth was enough to keep her much deeper under his spell than Timothy had been. However, this was her beloved husband on the ground, being attacked by this stranger. She slowly moved over to the counter and peered over to see what was happening.
“Timothy?” she said quietly, causing Carlos to stop feeding and turn his attention to her.
His mouth showing only trickles of blood (he had spent years learning how to eat cleanly), he rose from his victim. Brittany’s eyes were stuck on her lifeless husband on the kitchen floor. Carlos looked at her as he moved slowly to her. He heard her breathing get quicker as he got closer. She had a look on her, like she was asking him to fuck her right now but did not have the courage to say anything. He had seen that look many times. Slowly, Carlos circled her, getting behind her, grinding his hard cock in his pants along her ass. "He was your husband, but he wasn’t your Master, was he?"
"No." Brittany said softly and immediately Carlos dropped his pants. Brittany was in heat and followed, pulling her skirt down along her knees. Instantly, she was bent over the counter and getting rammed by his vampiric cock in her tight pussy.
"Harder! Fuck me Harder!" Brittany begged him, speaking in a way she never had. "Oh! My! God!" she repeated with every thrust he pushed. Her hands knocking over things on the counter as he thrusted.
"Yesss my slave!" Carlos said, fucking her with all his might, grunting like a wild animal,. Brittany wrapped her arms around his waist encouraging him go even harder.
Carlos turned the married nutritionist around and she quickly stepped out her skirt. He picked her up like she was a feather, Brittany let out a loud yelp, and sat her on his rigid cock as he really started fucking her. Brittany was bouncing on his cock up and down, her shirt pulled up to reveal her tits. Their chests sliding along each other as she rose and fell on his cock.
Brittany looked him dead in the eyes and move in for a passionate sloppy kiss, not noticing or caring about the bits of Timothy’s blood. Carlos kept his fast fucking motion as he returned her kiss. They tongues were dancing and exploring each other's mouths.
Brittany pulled away and kept screaming, "Yassss!! Give it to me! FUCK ME MASTER!"
Carlos pulled her into his cock as he thrusted in, as he lets out some powerful grunts, BAM! Brittany let out whimper and moan as she bounced off his hips, before she could escape the full length of his cock, Carlos pulled her back in again and with even more force. BAM! BAM! BAM
Brittany was beyond her limits, she was dead weight barely able to keep herself on him as she flopped around, obsessively thanking and begging creature who had just killed her husband.
Finally Carlos lifted her off his cock and set her down on her knees. Then aggressively grabbed her head and plunged his cock into her mouth. Brittany had never sucked a cock before, but she quickly got up to speed as she was getting used to her new Master’s cock. It began to slide inside her mouth easily as she began gulping it in with each thrust. Saliva was running down chin and onto her chest.
"Yes my pet!" Carlos screamed, as pulled his glistening cock out her mouth. He held his cock by the base slapping Brittany side to side until...
"Uhhhhnnnggg!" Carlos's wailed, as he shot several thick stream of creamy white cum onto Brittany's face.
Carlos brought Brittany's face back in and immediately, she knew what to do. Her succulent lips instantly wrapped around his cock’s head and began sucking the remaining juices out and around his cock. Carlos knew full well that his essence was going to give him full and utter control of this beautiful woman.
When she was finally finished, he looked down at her. “What do you do for work?” he asked. He noticed his English was much better after consuming Timothy’s blood. Little things like that always intrigued him, even after 150 or more years of being a vampire.
“I’m a nutritionist” she answered him as she lovingly caressed his leg, still on her knees.
Carlos laughed, as he briefly wondered what the nutritional value of a vampire’s cum was. “Where do you work?”
“Baylor Specialty Hospital, here in North Dallas” she answered. Her heart jumped as her Master nodded approvingly.
“Can you get me to the coroner?” he asked, as he began the plan to dispose of Timothy without alerting the authorities. The coroner would become his human slave, just as Brittany would. There was some work ahead of him, but for what began as a cold hungry night, this unexpected delivery had drastically improved Carlos’ outlook here in North Dallas.

GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS
IT’S RAPIDFIRE UNDERTOW CHARACTER RUNDOWN TIME YEEHAW LET’S GO
YOU CAN READ IT IF YOU LIKE
the setting: who the fuck knows
the time period: who the FUCK knows
the premise: amnesiac youth acquires a magically-enhanced sentient truck that runs on stories. because of reasons, she then embarks on a weird cross-country roadtrip, meeting equally weird people and investigating strange phenomena and curious magical goings-on. there is a ragtag gang of misfits and some world-saving involved also. and some dogs. yep
important caveat: this entire story is just my self-indulgent daydream universe. literally the entire thing? just for funsies. it’s my catch-all for ideas that don’t fit elsewhere. it’s my ridiculous worldbuilding melting-pot! it’s an excuse to string whatever wholesome and angsty moments I like together with whatever weird shit I think would be fun
the only motive behind anything I do in Undertow is “why the fuck not?” and that’s totally valid imo
and here we go. long post ahoy
the bastards:
ASTER (they/she): Conveniently amnesiac protagonist! Aroace and genderqueer! Woke up one day on the side of the road with the keys to a weird truck that runs on stories instead of fuel, and now uses delivery driving work as an excuse to careen all about the country collecting friends and solving magical mysteries. Vaguely clairvoyant and can ~speak~ with the energy-flow of the universe. Dresses like they’ve fallen straight out of a cyberpunk anime. Chatty, over-excited, impulsive. Extremely full of love.
important tunes: “overture” by sleeping at last, “timebomb” by walk the moon (weird choice for an aroace character but bear with me)
KIT (he/him): Not the first random Aster gets into shenanigans with but the first who tags along for further shenanigans and also becomes a protagonist. Pan. Wouldn’t know what a gender was if it punched him in the face. Highly skilled necromancer who straight-up doesn’t believe in magic, currently trying to fulfil the dying wish of his late wife (to reanimate a t-rex). Awkward and standoffish and lonely, tries to pretend he’s cool but just really really isn’t. Would rather set his entire self on fire than admit he considers Aster his best friend. Schizotypal synesthete whose fashion sense can be described as “how many clothes can I layer on top of each other before I physically cannot move?”
important tunes: “body” by mother mother, “hunting season” by fences, “necromancin dancin” by bear ghost
MEG (she/her): Mad scientist mechanic who does tonnes of magical illegal shit to cars for funsies. An expert on bizarre vehicles! This is the person you talk to if you, idk, happen across a strange truck with sentience that eats stories. She hates people and lives completely isolated in the middle of fuck-off nowhere with sixteen dogs. Completely unhinged. Thinks clothes are for losers so wears as few of them as possible and I want NO ONE making this a weird sexual thing. She’s just a feral bastard maniac. She’s living my weird feral bastard in the woods dreams. She has no interest in labelling her sexuality or gender, but both can be accurately summed up with “how dare you fucking look at me”
important tunes: “the machine” by lemon demon, “a mask of my own face” by lemon demon............ there’s just....... lemon demon songs here ok........ I haven’t yet found the songs with the Peak Meg Energies
NOLAN (he/him): Bastard. Chaotic bastard. Is of some relation to Kit, possibly an older brother, possibly just some dude who decided Kit looked like a fun person to annoy for all eternity. Speaks entirely in riddles and cryptic poems, loves needless melodrama. Dresses like he’s going to the beach even when he isn’t. He has zero motives beyond fun and chaos and boredom, which sometimes leads to him working with the protagonists and sometimes leads to him actively sabotaging them. Role in the story ranges from “genuinely terrifying villain” to “weird almost-friend who hangs around with the heroes even though no one invited him and is just a general endearing nuisance”. Literally cannot die, because he has some seriously impressive and terrifying subconscious reality-bending powers and it does not occur to him that he can die. So he doesn’t. Unrelated, he’s the only Undertow character besides Beth who canonically dies.
important tunes: “complicated creation” by cloud cult, “when he died” by lemon demon (peak Nolan chaotic energies)
BAKER (he/him): Meg’s apprentice? Meg’s assistant? Doesn’t really know that much about cars and I think he landed in the role because he misread the job advertisement, but he tries to be helpful anyway. Very small lesbian. Possibly some form of vampire except in reverse? Listen. I don’t know that much about Baker but one key fact is that he’s solar-powered and sometimes he’ll just lie down on the floor unconscious mid-task and you have to haul him over your shoulder and lob him into the sunlight and wait for his energy to recharge. Easily flustered, hardworking, pleasant enough but not super great at Peopling. Also gets possessed at one stage but he gets better so it’s nbd
important tunes: “pink smoke” by the scary jokes, “featherstone” by the paper kites
???????? (??/??): The main villain. The big bad. I have no idea if this is a thing that has a physical form or if it’s just an abstract floaty intangible concept. This is the thing that briefly possesses Baker. This is also the thing that one-shot kills Nolan. Possibly it’s some kind of river-surface reflection monster that steals your face and becomes a fucked up version of you except it accidentally reflected some kind of ancient god and now the whole world is screwed. Possibly it’s the gradual marching of the universe towards death except that marching gained sentience and is incredibly frightened. Who the FUCK knows. Not me.
important tunes: “dead moon” by brick + mortar, “ruler of everything” by tally hall
other bastards who exist. vaguely. probably:
CARDS (xe/xem): Gentle, patient, good at growing herbs and reading tarot cards. Xe’s married to Meg. Literally no one knows this because they hardly ever interact and they don’t live together and when they do interact people are generally like “huh, Meg doesn’t seem to despise Cards quite as much as she despises everyone else” but like. They’re happily married. Also xe’s called Cards because xir last name is “Cardone”. This is a fact that I stole from someone I’ve met in real life, because no one is safe from my terrible thieving writer hands
BETH (she/her): Kit’s late wife. She’s a ghost. She has lots of opinions about things. She’s not here in the story because of any necromancy or raising the dead on Kit’s part. She refuses to die out of pure spite. She’s got shit to do. She likes heavy metal and writing romance novels. These are currently the only facts I know about her. Thank you
FERRIS (she/her): Her last name is Wheel. She is a character I created specifically because I realised that Ferris Wheel is a name that you could actually for real name someone. I can’t decide if it’s funnier if this character’s name is Ferris Wheel in a world where ferris wheels exist but she herself has never been exposed to the concept of one so she doesn’t understand why all the other characters are like “??????” when they first meet her, or if this character’s name is Ferris Wheel in a world that is essentially just Earth But Magic, save for the fact that the exact, specific concept of a ferris wheel was never invented. Also she’s a businesswoman.......... also she can levitate...... also she’s a lesbian
ok that’s it bye thanks love you

Amor Erratur [Yoongi x OC]
Warnings: Angst, there was an illegal act but also it is a dystopian world?
Summery: Yoongi’s life was fairly put together. He would go to work organizing the raffles, talk with the one good person at his office, (Y/n), and marry whoever he was paired with. If only pesky feelings didn’t get in the way of it all.
Word Count: 5.2k
A/N: So... this is the first project that @btswriterscorner is doing! It is an amazing network with amazing people and I am excited to continue working with them! Be sure to check them out and the other works that are happening in the same universe as this one!
Tumblr media
The monotone tap, tap, tap of office computers filled the air, and an overbearing stench of burnt coffee pushing everyone to keep working. Offices had the potential of being lively with everyone smiling and talking, but not Yoongi’s office. No, Yoongi’s office was a beige government facility that wanted everyone and everything to be utterly silent when possible. Of course it wasn’t always quiet but the cubicles were made of fabric that purposely absorbed sound and there were walls that separated the main social area from the main work area. Yoongi had been working at the raffle facility since he graduated high school and after almost five years of working in it, he had risen somewhat high up on the ladder.
Now he had the final say in the results. His job was to make sure that everything was in place and that there was nothing out of place. It was interesting to see, but Yoongi didn’t always do his job to the fullest of his abilities. One point he even saw a hoobae of his change his partner to be someone else. Not all of the results had much of a rhyme or reason and the original results of Yoongi’s hoobae was one of those results. As Yoongi was the final check, he let it pass. Later that month, his hoobae was transferred but Yoongi was glad the man got to marry someone he wanted. He wasn’t always that lenient, at one point he even had to report a hoobae for trying to alter a major result, but Yoongi tried to be lenient when he could.
With a sigh, Yoongi grabbed his mug and stood up. He had been working for almost four hours without a break and desperately needed more coffee. Of course Yoongi always needed coffee and if it wasn’t for Y/n coming by and refilling Yoongi’s mug with the burnt coffee the office always served, Yoongi would have had to get up much sooner that day. The idea of visiting Y/n while on his break made Yoongi get excited. She was a cool person to talk to. With that in mind, Yoongi took a detour on his way to the break room, heart speeding up slightly as he did so. He found himself counting cubicles before making it to Y/n’s, his heartbeat speeding up more and more (most likely from all the caffeine he drank so far setting in) until he made it to Y/n’s desk. She was laughing and talking to Mina, a coworker who started about a year ago.
“Hey Y/n-sshi, I didn’t say it earlier but thank you for the refill.” Yoongi said, interrupting whatever conversation the two were having. Mina was glaring at him, but he didn’t care. Yoongi never cared when he interrupted people’s conversations at work.
“No problem, Yoongi-sshi! I know how you run on it and I wanted to brew a new pot.” Y/n said with a smile that made Yoongi’s heartbeat pick up once again.
He tried to ignore his feelings though. He learned long ago that emotions, romantic emotions specifically, were not something one should have. They granted harsh punishments ranging from a decade in prison to death depending on where one lived. The tiny crush Yoongi had on Y/n would pass… even if he’s had it for almost a year now. It would go away because it should go away.
“Would you like a refill now? I am going to get myself more coffee too.” Yoongi asked, hoping no one could read his inner turmoil.
“She drinks tea in the afternoons, Yoongi-sshi. I’d love coffee though.” Mina said with a sneer like smile, her hand moving to rest possessively on Y/n’s shoulder.
“She’s right, Yoongi-ssh, I am trying to cut back in my coffee intake, but if there is any hot water, I would love some more of that.”
“Ok. I can do hot water.” Yoongi said with a smile before walking past and into the break room.
As soon as he entered the room and saw no one was there, he closed the door and let his smile drop. Mina was a fake and annoying bitch and most days he could barely tolerate her, given he could barely tolerate most people here. The job was cutthroat. Time and time again he saw coworkers get fired for one unknown reason or another. He even had a new supervisor after the last one was cut randomly before the new year. Yoongi had no idea how he had managed to last in the job for so long, his emotions occasionally taking him over. Which was something that was heavily frowned upon when one works in the government. He even missed a week or so after his mom died because he simply couldn't cope with his emotions the way his job required. He never understood why he was chosen for this job, many of his colleagues are emotionless on good days and Yoongi was simply... reserved. At times he had to be in order to survive in such an office. Yoongi had a fairly high up position and he didn’t doubt that if he showed emotion, his coworkers would be trying to get him in trouble for stuff. Except Y/n. Y/n was too kind and caring to do that… she would never do something like that. Soon enough he had a pot of coffee brewing and a pot of water boiling.
With that done, he looked out the window to see everyone working away in their cubicles. The office was dull and grey and everyone seemed to wear dull and grey clothes that made them blend in. It was like office camouflage. Soon enough, Yoongi found himself staring at Y/n, as he often did when he had a reprieve from work, who was typing away on whatever assignment she was now working on. She was one of the few people Yoongi got to interact with that didn’t seem borderline psychopathic. She was always friendly and helpful, and Yoongi loved that. Soon enough, Yoongi found his eyes slowly raking down Y/n's body, even if he didn’t mean to. She was very beautiful… which didn’t help his crush. There was even a possibility that a small spark of anxiety and hope ran through him when a new list of results came in at the prospect of him and her being paired. It most likely wouldn’t happen though. At least, that is what Yoongi told himself to keep his hope low.
He just... used the word love… for a person. Belatedly realizing this, Yoongi spun around and faced the stove, fear squeezing his heart. He had never felt such a strong emotion before. He barely felt love towards his parents. He never saw or experienced love outside of what he read in old books and movies he got to see in the depths of his grandfather's basement. It was whispered about in his seventh grade history class before the teacher talked about why such an emotion was suppressed and banished for the better of mankind. Never had he seen anyone express love though. Not even his hoobae who got to marry the person he wanted to be with. His government teacher explained that it was frowned upon and punished if one felt love. The teacher never explained how the government found out but spies were everywhere. For all Yoongi knew, the second he thought he loved Y/n his fate was sealed. He could be arrested tomorrow and never see his dad or his brother again. He wouldn’t die even if he was arrested though. South Korea didn’t put people to death because of emotions, they simply jailed them. Of course Yoongi most likely wouldn’t be jailed for thinking such a feeling. At least he hoped.
The scream of the pot brought Yoongi back to the present, quickly turning the stove off before walking out of the break room with it. He needed to keep himself calm and collected.
"Piping hot water for you, Y/n-sshi." Yoongi said with a smile, carefully pouring more water into Y/n's "This Coffee Makes Me Awesome" mug.
"Thank you, Yoongi-sshi. You didn't have to brew me a pot." She said quietly before turning back to work. At that, Yoongi made his way back to the break room, excited to have some coffee and relieved to be away from Y/n. She was amazing but Yoongi didn’t want people to realize his thoughts. As he waited for the coffee to brew, he found himself thinking about what it would be like to be married to Y/n. She would be an amazing partner. He could practically see her doting on him and laughing at all his jokes. Oh how he would love to be married to her.
Yoongi just so happened to get an email about needing to start on the raffle results for people born his year... which included Y/n. If they were both meant to marry someone... Yoongi could easily switch the names and get Y/n to be his partner. He was the last check so no one would have to know. Once the coffee was brewed, Yoongi had it all planned out.  He was going to simply change the names if both him and Y/n were on the list. There was no way anyone would know. He quickly made his way back to his desk and went back to checking through the final list of raffle winners that was sent to him. Sure enough, both him and Y/n were on the list and he quickly moved his name down to be with Y/n and her original spouse up to Yoongi's original spouse.
With a sigh of relief, Yoongi leaned back in his desk and took a long sip of his coffee. Maybe he should quit drinking coffee too.
What a joke. He was almost 75% coffee by now.
The second Yoongi swiped in the next day, he felt like something was off. He just knew that some of his coworkers were looking at him more than normal and the air in the office felt stale today. His heart felt like it was having a cramp from how hard it was beating. Was this what a heart attack felt like? Maybe he couldn’t go into work today. He wasn’t having a heart attack though, Yoongi knew that. He was simply feeling paranoid. At least, that is what he told himself. He was feeling unwanted and illegal emotions and now he needed to stump them quickly or he could be jailed. He couldn’t be jailed though. There was no way for anyone to know that he was having these thoughts or that he did anything wrong. No one could know. He was safe.
Yoongi quickly got into his seat and logged onto his computer, hoping that none of his coworkers would notice him acting differently. There was nothing different about today. Nothing at all. Only, when Yoongi logged onto his computer, he knew that there was in fact something different about today. There was an email from his supervisor… that had been marked with a red flag of importance. It mocked him. Yoongi fucked up yesterday by changing those names and his supervisor knew. His dumb infatuation with Y/n was going to get him jailed. He would never see his dad again. Missed calls will be all that his dad will remember him by. Yoongi was doomed.
As Yoongi continued to read the letter, he got even more worried. His meeting was at 9 in the morning. Nothing good came from a meeting so early in the day. Plus, he only had ten minutes to prepare for his inevitable arrest. Was there some way that he could prevent it? Plead that it was an accident? Plead for his life? His heart was beating quickly in fear and if it weren’t for the fact that he was at work, Yoongi might have broken down into tears. This was the end of him and he didn’t want his asshole coworkers to catch on to Yoongi’s demise. Too many of them were working here after working in the jailing unit. They were quick to catch on to anything and everything that might be suspicious. No doubt they were suspicious of the growing sweat stains that were no doubt showing on his shirt. Any of them could have reported him yesterday and any of them could arrest him today.
Y/n gently setting a mug of coffee down at his desk brought Yoongi out of his reprieve, her smile momentarily releasing him from those anxious thoughts. She was smiling at him as she set it down. Yoongi quickly took a sip of his coffee and nodded at her, not able to focus on anything but his meeting that was happening soon. He needed to prepare for that as best as he possibly could. Y/n hung back as if she wanted to say something to Yoongi but Yoongi had no time for any social interaction even if it was from Y/n. Especially if it was from Y/n.
He pulled up a random document on his computer to act as if he was actually getting work done so that Y/n would leave him alone. For all he knew, the document was about a project he did last year, but Yoongi didn’t need to actually read it. Y/n left shortly after Yoongi opened the document and for those few minutes Yoongi had before meeting with his supervisor, Yoongi tried to come up with a valid excuse for altering the results. None of them seemed to work and before he knew it, his time was up.
Shakily, Yoongi got up and slowly made his way towards his supervisor’s office. Each step made his feet feel heavier and heavier as if telling him that he still had time to run and go on the lamb. His life didn’t have to end here. Yet Yoongi didn’t turn around, and soon enough the golden plaque of his supervisor’s name was staring him in the face.
Namjoon.
His supervisor’s name was Namjoon. Namjoon was the name of the man who was about to seal Yoongi’s fate forever. Yoongi took a deep breath in, the office air feeling heavy in his lungs. He needed to relax. Stealing all his strength, Yoongi knocked on Namjoon’s door firmly. If this was the end of his freedom, he wanted it to end with him acting brave.
After a faint “come in”, Yoongi entered. The inside of the office was shrouded in shadows and there was some faint, high pitched noise that seemed to emanate the whole office. In the middle of the office was a large desk that commanded the whole room with nothing on it apart from a lone lit candle. It wasn’t until Namjoon cleared his throat that Yoongi finally looked up to see his supervisor. In the dark, Namjoon looked much younger than Yoongi expected. He might have been Yoongi’s age or a little older. This was the man who would punish him for doing wrong. This man would lead to Yoongi’s demise.
“How are you doing today, Yoongi-sshi?” Namjoon asked, his voice gruff as he looked Yoongi over before looking down at a file.
“I… I… I have had better days.” Yoongi finally settled on, feeling his nervousness grow higher by the minute. Why in the world was Namjoon asking such a simple question.
“Makes sense. You have been in this department for how long?”
Yoongi coughed, “I have been working here for almost six years now. Although you have my file. You should know th-”
“Why did you accept this job Yoongi?”
“I didn’t have a choice. This was the only job that came up when I did the job test in high school.” Yoongi shrugged, worry building as Namjoon kept speaking. Why was he asking so many questions? He did something illegal and he was going to jail for it, right?
“And did you go to college before working here?”
“No.”
Namjoon nodded before getting up and walking over to a file cabinet in the corner of the office. He hunched over the cabinet, quickly thumbing through many files before pulling one out. In two steps, Namjoon made his way back to the desk and set the file down.
It was Yoongi’s.
“From what I have read of you, you seem to be very smart. So tell me, Yoongi-sshi, why in the world did you think it safe, let alone smart, to alter the results from the raffel?”
Yoongi’s gut dropped, this was exactly what he was worried the meeting would be about. His worst nightmare was confirmed now. He was going to jail and it would be the end of him.
“I… I… I don’t know.” Yoongi finally got out. Despite all the attempts of thinking up excuses, he had nothing. Nothing he could say could get him out of this situation.
“You don’t know, or you won’t say because it could be more incriminating?” Namjoon asked, leaning forwards and looking Yoongi dead in the eyes. His stare was piercing. It made Yoongi want to shrivel up in his seat and hide but at the same time, there was something about it that seemed to be curious.
“I… I don’t know.” Yoongi finally got out, his words a mere whisper in the room. He looked down at this point, too scared of looking Namjoon in the eyes and him understanding what he meant.
“You see.” Namjoon started, his voice as quiet as Yoongi’s, “I think you do know why you did it but are just scared of incriminating yourself. I understand that. Thing is, I am on your side Yoongi. I… am not one for the current regime. I won’t turn you in… but I want you to do something.”
“Are you blackmailing me, hyungnim?” Yoongi asked, not believing his ears.
How could his supervisor say that! Yoongi didn’t agree with the regime either but they had ways of keeping people silent. Yoongi barely even dared to think of anything that was too radical because he has heard stories of people thinking illegal things and them being taken away.
Namjoon laughed, “I am not, Yoongi-sshi. It is ok to talk here. I have set it up so their bugs can’t listen in. Before we talk more… I need to know, why did you alter the raffle results?”
Should he believe Namjoon?
Could this all be a lie?
Would it even matter? Yoongi most likely had a life sentence already. There wasn’t much more punishment that could happen if Yoongi talked about his feelings or government distaste. South Korea didn’t have the death penalty.
“I… I did it because I love Y/n. I want to be with her.” Yoongi finally said.
It was a strange feeling to finally voice such an emotion. His whole life, it had been frowned upon to feel this way, let alone speak about those feelings and here he was voicing his love for a coworker to his supervisor. It felt good though.
Namjoon nodded and leaned back in his chair at that, “That is what I was hoping to hear. Sadly, I got a letter from my higher ups that we needed to remove five random couples from the list and you and Y/n just so happened to be one of the couples on the list. I hope you don’t mind. They would have checked it themselves anyways.
“Now, what I need from you,” Namjoon licked his lips and leaned closer once again, “I have ties to the revolution… I want you to do some work on the side to help the revolution. What do you say?”
“What?” Yoongi asked, not fully registering what Namjoon was asking of him.
Namjoon sighed and shook his head, “I want… no need you to do some work with the revolution. If you want to be with Y/n in a romantic way, you will help. If you want anyone else to even have the chance to feel what you are feeling, you will help. It would be small stuff. Volunteering with kids and planting ideas of love in their heads. Tiny stuff.”
Yoongi nodded, barely able to keep track of all that was happening inside his mind. One minute he was scared that his life was over and now he was being asked to join a revolution? How had his day changed so drastically? This was absolutely not what he expected to have happen today.
“I… uh… how does that help with a revolution?” Yoongi asked, his mind still stuck with the idea of him not going to jail. He was going to call his parents the minute he got home from work. It was too long since they talked.
"It makes people want what we preach to them. Never underestimate the magic that stories and care can have, Yoongi-sshi. Now, get out of my office and continue working. I will be sending an email to you some time today about the next meeting you have to do." Namjoon said, dismissing Yoongi with a wave of his hand.
"Wait-- I have to meet another person before I can start working?" Yoongi asked once he stood up, "Why can't I just get to work?"
"The revolution doesn't let just anyone's help. We will not risk the safety of our fellows without doing checks first. Now get to work Yoongi-sshi." Namjoon said, getting up himself to grab something from the filing cabinet. Yoongi didn't stay around to see what Namjoon was going to work on next, instead opting to get to work. He had cold coffee and a large number of requests to sort through himself.
Yoongi sat anxiously in one of the booths at a dark and grimy bar. His hands were limply resting by his sides, not wanting to touch the table and whatever had made it sticky. Namjoon had emailed him that fateful work day and that was how Yoongi found himself in the bar booth, waiting for someone named Jeon Jungkook to meet him. Anxiety made Yoongi come half an hour before Jungkook was said to meet him. Some hoppy beer sat in front of Yoongi but he could barely stomach more than three sips. The bar was in a low income area of Seoul where many manual laborers lived but almost everyone in the bar seemed to be celebrating one thing or another. All yelling happily and ordering more drinks than Yoongi might have ever drunk. The noise was shocking and a wave of pain ran through Yoongi every time some new person entered as the drunk people shouted a cheer. Yoongi watched as someone sauntered across the bar and made his way towards his booth.
Was this man Jungkook?
He was in a simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt but both of them seemed almost too small for him as his muscles were very visible through them. If this was Jungkook, Yoongi had no idea what many other people in the revolution looked like. Were they all strong and scary looking? Before Yoongi had much time to think more about those in the revolution, the man sat across from Yoongi. It was Jungkook. Jungkook's black hair shielded his eyes from Yoongi, but he had no doubt that Jungkook was giving him a once over. A shudder ran down Yoongi's spine and he felt himself shrivel into himself.
"Yoongi." Jungkook said, his voice softer than Yoongi would have expected.
"Jungkook?" Yoongi asked, forcing himself to sit back up and look Jungkook in the eye as best as he could. It was hard, especially when Jungkook opted to keep staring at Yoongi instead of speaking.
They must have sat there staring at each other for a minute before Jungkook cleared his throat and started talking, "Thank you for meeting. Sorry it took me so long to get in. They didn't believe my ID."
"Why wouldn't they?" Yoongi asked, raising an eyebrow at Jungkook.
"I look young. That is besides the point. Namjoon thinks you will be a good addition to the Seoul section of the revolution. Do you think you would be a good addition?" Jungkook asked, reaching across the table and stealing a sip of Yoongi's beer.
Yoongi let him, too nervous to even drink it.
"You have shit taste in beer by the way." Jungkook added, pulling a face from the bitterness of the beer.
Yoongi let a tense laugh loose at Jungkook's comment before starting, "I don't know why Namjoon thinks I am good for the Seoul section... I think I would like to help though... love is a great feeling... I have only felt it a little, I mean I think I have only felt it a little, but I want people to feel free to feel love. Love is a good emotion..."
Jungkook nodded and ran his fingers through his hair. Yoongi saw his eyes for the first time and was once again struck by the gaze Jungkook was pinning Yoongi with. If looks could kill, Yoongi might have been dead.
"And how do I know that you aren't going to snitch and try to get money from ratting out the Seoul chapter?" Jungkook asked, taking another sip of Yoongi's beer.
"I... Why would I?" Yoongi started, "Namjoon found me doing something illegal too. If I even tried ratting myself out I would get jail time as well."
"That means nothing to me. Blackmail or not. " Jungkook scoffed.
"You'll just have to grow to trust me then." Yoongi said with a sigh.
What was he supposed to say to a stranger? Never in Yoongi's life has he had to keep such a secret and now Jungkook was asking for proof that he could keep it? Yoongi had no idea what he could possibly say.
"I think I am willing to trust you, but if I even hear that you are attempting to rat us out, I will find you and hurt you myself... or better yet, I will hurt your precious Y/n." Jungkook said, taking one final swig of Yoongi's beer before getting up, "You'll be emailed a date, time, and location for the first part of your work."
Before Yoongi could ask any more, Jungkook had disappeared into the crowd and Yoongi was once again left alone in the dark and gritty bar.
Was this the right place? Yoongi had no idea but the longer he stood outside of the orphanage, the more stares he got from random people who were passing by and Yoongi hates getting stared at. The building was a monotone and sad looking grey and it made Yoongi wonder if the inside looked as depressing as the outside. He hoped not. The idea of children being stuck in such a depressing place made Yoongi’s heart ache.
“Are you the new person Jungkook sent to read to the children?” Someone asked walking up to Yoongi with a small smile on her face.
She wore a simple pair of blue jeans and a large manilla sweater. Her black hair was pulled into a low ponytail, frizz sticking out all over her head. Yoongi felt over dressed in comparison to her even though he was simply wearing khakis and a polo. He didn’t have time to change after work. He didn’t doubt that by the end of this program he would feel gross, but after seeing the look of the outside of the building, Yoongi didn’t mind. If reading stories to the orphans would bring them happiness, he would do it willingly. They need happiness.
“I am. Yeah. Name is Yoongi.” He finally said, slowly walking into the orphanage with the woman in tow.
“My name is Gi . I have been working here for a year now. I can show you around before the children get back from school.”  She said, sliding behind the front desk and grabbing a key, “I am glad that you decided to come a little early. It gives me time to not only show you around but also how to set up for the reading.”
“Wait-- I am here early?” Yoongi asked, not even bothering to ask why the children were arriving back from school so late in the day.
“About half an hour early.” Gi said, walking over to a side door and unlocking it, “Let me guess, though. Jungkook said that this was when you had to arrive?”
Yoongi nodded, following Gi as she led the way into the living quarters of the orphanage. They were as dull and grey as the outside of the building save for the occasional motivational poster.
“That is so like him.” She laughed quietly, “Please continue to come early. It does help with setting up. Anyways, this is where we will mostly be.” Gi started to explain what they would be doing and how to set up.
There was a closet full of pillows and books that Gi and Yoongi would be using. His job was to get the children to relax after a long school day and then help them with their homework if they needed it before cleaning up. It would most likely be a simple job and for the first time since Yoongi was in high school, he felt excitement towards doing something. This excitement didn’t fade after one day of work, nor after volunteering for a whole week. That weekend, he and Gi met up to plan the next week and he felt even more excited. The pattern of working there in the afternoon and evenings on weekdays and planning with Gi on the weekend continued for two months and before Yoongi knew it, he found himself anxiously waiting day in and day out for the time he spent with not only the children but also Gi. His days were bright and colorful even though he worked and volunteered in such grey places.
It wasn’t until he came back from a bathroom break and saw himself admiring Gi help a middle schooler with their math homework that he realized he no longer felt any love towards Y/n. Maybe all Yoongi felt was a strong infatuation but he had never experienced such a strong emotion before that. Yoongi leaned against a wall and smiled at the scene in front of him. Children were playing and working together on homework. In the center of it all was Gi: a wonderful and caring woman who also happened to be part of the revolution. In the time Yoongi has spent with her, he got to know so much. She was in a loveless marriage to a man thrice her age who eventually became a close friend of hers. Her husband and her had a kid who was now two before he passed due to a heart attack. She worked as an editor in some large and boring newspaper. There she met another friend of hers who eventually got her to work with the revolution.
She was an amazing person with a large heart.
Yoongi cast a glance her way before slowly walking over. Maybe he liked her romantically. Maybe she was a reason Yoongi wanted to believe in the revolution. Maybe he would walk to the ends of the earth to be with her. Yoongi chose not to think about that right now, instead getting onto his knees and helping another kid near Gi.
He could get used to this work.

"Guys, can you come downstairs?!" Patton yelled excitedly "There's someone we'd like for you to meet!"
"A NEW SIDE?" Roman excitedly yelled running out of his room, he ran down the stairs as fast as he could "Where are they?" He asked looking around
"Jesus man, relax..." Virgil said walking down the stairs and putting his hand on Roman's shoulder, they heard a loud noise behind them, this made all of them flinch and look at where the noise came from
"Ouch-" Remus said loudly with a painful tone in his voice, he had thrown himself down the stairs and fallen face-first on the floor
Janus sighed walking calmly down the stairs
"You ok there, bro?" Roman giggled still concerned
"He's fine, he always does that..." Janus replied clearly annoyed at Remus
"Anyways..." Roman continued as Janus helped Remus get up from the floor "Who do you want us to meet?!" He smiled
"Well, I need to go find Thomas and bring him to the mind space"
"Why's that?" Janus asked
"Because, I'm not so sure it's safe for them to leave the mind space yet, and I really, really, really want Thomas to meet them too" Patton smiled excitedly
"Why wouldn't it be safe for a side to leave the mind space?" Roman asked
"Who said it was a side?" Patton couldn't contain his smile "Anyways, I'll go get Thomas, you guys wait here!" He said happily sinking out to the real world
"What does he mean by that?" Janus asked
"Yeah..." Virgil was confused by that way of phrasing it too "Also, where's Logan?"
"Didn't Patton call him down too?" Roman asked
"Probably jerk-" Remus was interrupted by Janus shutting him up with his hand
"That's disgusting, Remus..." Roman clarified
"Oh, yeah, right, like you don't je-" Janus shut him up again, and let go after a few second "To Vir-"
"Okay, that's enough" Janus let out pressing his hand over Remus' mouth even harder, Roman sighed and Virgil giggled at the situation
"We are back, kiddos!" Patton declared rising up with Thomas next to him
"Hey, guys!" Thomas smiled
"Hey, Thomas!" Roman greeted him
"Yo!" Virgil smirked
"Hello..." Janus welcomed Thomas, still pressing his hand as hard as possible on Remus' mouth to prohibit him from talking, Remus tried saying hi to Thomas but it was impossible, Janus' gloves muffled the sound
"So why did you need me here, Patton?" Thomas interrogated
"Well, I want you guys to meet someone!" He smiled in such a genuine way it made all the sides excited for what was coming "Logan, you can come out!" Patton yelled at the direction of the kitchen, Logan walked towards the others holding in his arms...
"A baby?" Thomas let out surprised
"Meet our daughter, Alice!" Patton radiantly smiled
"Your daughter?" Virgil murmured in disbelief, "but how?"
"Well..." Logan began his explanation, "it's quite hard to explain actually..."
"No, it's not!" Remus interrupted ready to explain the birds and the bees to everyone in the room "You have a pe-"
"They are both men!" Janus stopped Remus before he could finish "And part of Thomas' imagination!"
"May I continue?" Logan said clearly annoyed "Here, hold her" He handed the baby to Patton "Like I was saying, Remus and Roman can conjure objects for as long as they want, right?"
"Yes" "Ye..."  The twins agreed still confused as to where Logan was going with this
"Well, I found a way of conjuring an object permanently and also conjuring a... A human being?" He said with a bit of uncertainty at the end
"Is she a side too?" Virgil quietly asked
"We don't know..." Logan admitted
"And you aren't concerned about how this could affect Thomas?!" Virgil raised his voice clearly concerned "Did you even ask for his consent?"
"Virgil, calm down, her existence won't affect Thomas in any way..."
"How do you know that? You don't even know how to explain how you made her" Virgil was growing extremely anxious
"Virgil, listen, does Salem affect Thomas in any way?"
Virgil looked at Thomas for a response, Thomas was cheerfully looking at the baby who was being held by Patton, he looked at Virgil and shook his head reassuring him that, his cat, Salem's existence didn't hurt him in any way "apparently not..." Virgil sighed, the other sides had stepped away from the conversation and simply watched
"Alice isn't any different she is merely a product of Thomas' imagination, obviously capable of working as a human should, but she does not affect Thomas in any way."
"Did you just call our daughter a pet?" Patton looked at Logan clearly offended
"Of course not, honey, I was just trying to explain that she is a part of Thomas' imagination, just like you and I, she just doesn't have a specific role to fulfill."
"Did you even ask Thomas before... Creating her?"
"Yeah, they did, I just didn't think it'd work..." Thomas clarified "But it did!" He said smiling at Alice
"Patton... Why?" Virgil asked calmly
"You know how much I love kids, I've always wanted kids of my own, I'm the dad after all!" Patton cheerfully explained
"But you had me..." Virgil sadly replied
Patton walked closer to Virgil with the baby in his arms "I still see you as my son, no matter what, Virgil, I love you" Patton softly smiled "Here hold her"
"What? no! I mean, are you sure? I could accidentally hurt her or drop her or even worse-"
"Breath, you'll be fine, I trust you, just hold her..." Patton reassured Virgil, Virgil did as instructed, he stared at Alice, she looked so small and fragile, he was so scared he might end up accidentally hurting her, he was shaking and it was obvious, but he tried to stay still as to not disturb Alice.
"She's your little sister, as her big brother you should love and protect her... " Patton softly smiled
Virgil's eyes started tearing up "Thank you…" he whispered
"Ok, that's cute and everything, but I'm still mad!" Roman yelled
"Why's that?" Logan asked
"Because you could've told me! Designing baby clothes isn't easy you know? It takes a lot of time!" Roman declared dramatically "anyway... Can I hold her?!" He yelled breaking his overly dramatic persona
"No! She is my little sister!"
"Oh c'mon Virgil! Let me hold her!"
"May I hold her?" Janus chimed in
"No!" Roman and Virgil yelled at the same time, Alice had been quiet this whole time, but this made her start crying
"Oh my God! She is crying! What do I do? Patton, dad, help!" Virgil started panicking
"Maybe it's time to feed her..." Patton took Alice away from Virgil "Lo, sweetie, is it time to feed her already?" Patton asked
"In 39 seconds, I'll go make her formula as fast as possible" Logan started running to the kitchen
"Logan, sweetheart, it doesn't have to be at an exact ti-" Patton sighed "never mind..." Alice had stopped crying now that she was back in her dad's arms  "Virgil you wanna help us?"
"I better stay here, I need some time to let this sink in..." Virgil admitted
"Ok, if you need me, I'm here for you" Patton reassured Virgil
"I wanna help!" Remus excitedly announced
"Oh, no, Remus, you stay here, I don't want you near that baby, at all" Janus said grabbing Remus by the shoulder
"Why can't he help, Janus?" Patton asked
"Because he is... Remus."
"So?" Patton asked clearly noticing Remus' sad expression
"I wouldn't hurt a baby, Janus..."  Remus clarified looking at Janus with a sad look
"Then what about that time you gave Thomas a  knife and a baby? It looked like you wanted him to hurt the baby..." Virgil said concerned for Alice's safety
"Virgil, I'm sure he was just messing with me..." Thomas explained
"Of course I was! It was a fake baby! I may be demented, but I wouldn't act on my ideas, well most of them, especially when they involve hurting a kid, they are just ideas I give Thomas, that's my job..." Remus sadly confessed, "I don't think you enjoy giving Thomas anxiety either..." He looked at Virgil, Virgil quietly looked at the ground feeling ashamed of himself, he knew Remus was right, he didn't enjoy giving Thomas anxiety at all...
"Come on, Remus, you can help!" Patton smiled
"Hell fucking yeah!" Remus said going back to his usually hyperactive persona, Patton gave him a look "Ah, my bad, Pat, HECK FUDGING YEAH!" He corrected himself, Patton giggled, all the other sides and Thomas looked at each other with confusion at what had just happened, they've never seen Remus react in such a way
"Well, I have things to do, I need to go…" Thomas announced "I'll come back to see Alice and talk to you guys after I finish editing"
"Sure, Thomas, good luck!" Roman said
"Good luck! Be sure to save the project or else you might lose it and you'll need to start everything again…" Virgil explained
Thomas sighed "Thanks..."
"Remember to take time for yourself, Thomas…" Janus let out
"Will do, bye, guys!" Thomas left the mindscape leaving three extremely troubled sides behind
"So… You have a little sister?" Roman asked Virgil
"Yeah, I guess, but don't you too? I mean you call Patton "dad" too, don't you?"
"Does that make you brothers?" Janus grinned "Too bad it's illegal for you to dat-" Roman interrupted Janus by hitting him in the arm with his elbow "Ouch! What was that for?"
"We are not brothers!" Roman clarified
"I know you don't see him as a brother" Janus giggled "I'll go check on Remus, don't do anything illegal while I'm gone"
Virgil chuckled at Roman's annoyed face, he stood up to walk to his room but was stopped by Roman grabbing him by the wrist "You wanna help design her clothes?" Roman softly smiled
"Sure" Virgil nodded "But only if I get to design a My Chemical Romance shirt for her"
"Poor Alice…" Roman sighed "You are an emo nightmare"
"Thank you very much, Roman" Virgil smiled "So? Can I?"
"Sure, fine, just help me…"
"Cool!" Virgil smiled grabbing Roman by the hand and running upstairs to Roman's room to start designing the clothes, they had a fun time, although Virgil couldn't stop thinking about the fear of Patton forgetting about him… And so did Roman, he may not show it, as Virgil does, but deep down, he was scared of being forgotten too.

DOES HAWKS TAKE DABI WITH HIM AS HIS PLUS ONE TO THE RED CARPET. PLEASE SAY YES.
holy shit bro. i ... i didn’t even think about this.
but yes yes YES he absolutely would take dabi with him as his plus one. at this point, they’ve been on a few dates and the REVEAL has already happened (aka hawks knows that dabi knows who hawks really is). they’re practically official without the actual label and without, you know, people knowing they’re a thing.
it’s not because hawks is ashamed of dabi (it’s the opposite!!! he’s so smitten and wants the whole world to know that he bagged a hottie like dabi). but, what they have is theirs and only theirs. both hawks and dabi are loathed to give up that secrecy because they know that once the world finds out, their relationship won’t be only between them anymore.
but! when hawks springs the question over chinese takeout, dabi shrugs and says “yeah sure, why not”. and hawks? hawks is ecstatic.
the day comes and hawks realizes that he never asked dabi what he was planning on wearing to this thing. it’s little too late, so hawks accepts that if dabi decides he’s going to wear a tshirt and jeans to this, there’s not much hawks can do to stop him.
except... when hawks swings by to pick up dabi in the fancy limo (sorry, babe. his agent’s idea, not his) and rings the doorbell, he’s not at ALL prepared for dabi to step out looking like a SNACC
it’s no three piece suit, nor is it the classic suit and tie combo. it’s...it’s dabi, in an expensive black blazer with a gold trim and a simple white button down underneath, crisp and ironed but unbuttoned past his clavicle and borderline indecent. matching black slacks, belt, and laced oxfords. he’s even changed out his piercings to match the gold trim; slipped on a couple rings and bracelets.
hawks has no idea how to process this.
"where did you buy this?” hawks asks. his fingers can’t stop touching dabi - his shirt, his sleeve, his face.
dabi rolls his eyes, catches hawks wrists to stop his fidgeting and says, “dont sound so surprised.” then, he grins, all sly amusement. “i called in a few favors.”
and hawks is tempted to call the whole thing off. screw the red carpet; it has to be illegal to look that good. but dabi insists they go because he’ll be damned if he got dressed up like this just to not go.
it’s the limo ride there that hawks realizes he maybe should’ve prepped dabi on what to expect. but, how do you ease someone into quickly becoming ok with having a hundred flashing cameras and lights in your face? (spoiler: you don’t) so hawks laces their fingers together and tells dabi that if he gets overwhelmed or needs a break, there was a back partition he could go through and just meet hawks down the line.
and dabi has to smother a laugh because wow, if only the little bird knew. so he tells hawks it’ll be fine and yes, if it gets to be too much, he’ll go though the back. dabi wonders if he should’ve come clean to hawks about his old man -- it’s not like dabi ever lied about it; he just never advertised it.
but hawks already flustered, and dabi doesn’t want to pile on more potential problems, so he keeps his mouth shut and lets hawks hold his hand.
when they pull up, there’s already a line of eager reporters pushing to the front, clambering over each other to be the first to take the limo shot. hawks steps out first, grinning and waving. he holds the door open a little wider and offers a hand up to the occupant inside. the venomous look dabi shoots him is worth the ignored hand as dabi ducks up and out.
and, for just a second, the cameras, the flashes, the chatter - everything halts as everyone gawks at dabi. hawks has never brought a date except for rumi. they are not expecting a tall, dark-haired, tattooed and pierced dabi to be hawk’s plus one.
from there, it’s a flurry of activity. a frenzy. the cameras are non-stop, and everywhere they turn, there’s another microphone in their face. but it’s not the rabid reporters and paps that shocks hawks; no, it’s the way dabi is handling, well, everything.
he’s got a cool smirk fixed in place, body posture loose and relaxed, hands in his pocket. he knows to watch out for the near-invisible stickers on the carpet and knows he’s supposed stop there to pose with hawks. and it’s so casual, the way he slips his hand around hawks waist to pull him in, how he turns his head and body this way and that like he knows which angle would be best.
if hawks is being 100% honest, it smarts a bit, to have dabi make it look so effortless. unbeknownst to hawks, dabi can barely keep his eyes off hawks, awed to see him in his element. hawks was always meant for the spotlight and it really shows.
so, in summary:
everyone is shook that hawks brings a baddie hottie as his plus one
endeavor isn’t at this event (thank god bc dabi can only handle so much in one night)
dabi and hawks hold hands!!! it’s a publicity nightmare for hawks’ agent but hawks dgaf
so much happened that hawks forgets to ask how dabi got his fancy clothes (dabi still has sponsors who are more than happy to have him showcase their line)
hawks is salty for a split second that dabi is supposedly a natural at being in the limelight, but then he’s deliriously happy bc he’d been so worried!!!! but apparently, dabi is ok and maybe that means he’ll come again if hawks asks nicely??

Live ep: The Finish Line
Transcribed by olanovena. Many thanks!
To catch you up...um...shit. Ok. I went looking for my wife, Alice, who I thought was dead. She wasn’t dead. Years passed. We encountered monsters and alternate dimensions, and I think I hung out with a ghost once. Then Alice and I, we came home. That’s basically the story, short version, anyway. Sometimes you don’t need the details, you know? Ok. And so, then, here is what happened after.
We got restless, sometimes. The paradox is that when you travel endlessly, all you want is home, and then you finally reach that long-awaited homecoming only to find that the miles have gotten into your blood. Your body thrums with movement, and staying still feels like clothes that don’t quite fit. The whole rest of your life becomes an attempt to balance these two dissatisfactions. It’s great to be human sometimes. [chuckles] So, Alice and I, we decided to go on a road trip. This time, we wouldn’t be on any sort of mission to do anything, we could just wander. Or, that was the plan. Plans, right? We met up with Tanya. We loved Tanya, and didn’t want to fall out of touch with him just because we were no longer in a secret underground organization together fighting for our lives. You know how we can be after that, it’s like a few texts, an email, and then you see a person on Facebook and realized you hadn’t thought of them in years, and we did not want that. So, we bought ourselves an RV, and off we went. It’s a couple of hours south of Palm Springs, east of Raleigh, out past the Chocolate Mountains, and there is a remote town known for an illegal race out on an abandoned highway that once led somewhere and now doesn’t. The story was that it was a race that allowed the racers to meet God. So...yeah, we went right to that town, obviously. The place was small, as in, an intersection. On one corner, a gas station. On another corner, a bar. No sign on the bar except a few neon beer logos. We stayed in the RV, although there was nowhere to hook it up to anything. It still felt cleaner than the motel several miles back, and the gas station bathrooms were 24 hours. Having scoped out the whole town by standing in one spot and turning around real slow, we went into the bar with no sign. There was a group at a table in the corner and a couple of people sitting at the bar. Folks at the bar introduced themselves as Lisa and Luis. No one behind the bar, but when we asked about beer, Lisa went around to the broken fridge and happily sold us lukewarm cans of Coors. I’m not clear she worked there. I’m not clear anyone did. We asked about the race on the abandoned highway. Both of them got real quiet. Finally, it was Lisa that talked. “Oh, we take that real serious,” said Lisa. “Outsiders don’t really get it,” said Luis. “But if you wanna stay and watch, can’t stop you,” she said. “Outsiders don’t really get it,” said Luis. I said that they might be surprised by what we’d get and what we had seen, but they didn’t have much to say about that, and we kind of drank in silence for a while. Which wasn’t bad, all things considered. After the last few years, I’ll take some quiet. We asked when the next race was. “Tonight, after dark,” said one of the people in the corner. Said their name was Tito. I got the feeling every person in this bar, maybe every person in this town, such as it was, took part in these races. I got the feeling that’s the only reason anyone would live out in a place like this. “Got a specific time?” said Tanya. “Or y’all just kinda go by gut?” “After dark,” said Tito again. And that was that. So, as dusk gave into darkness, we sat on top of the RV, parked a few blocks down the road from the intersection that was the town. And we looked out for anything that could be a race. A couple hours before, just about the whole town had cleared out, driving cars out to the north where the desert really gets desolate. Lots of the cars didn’t look like racers. Old sedans, pickup trucks with tires just this side of flat. It felt intrusive to follow, so we stayed and looked that direction. Just waiting for something to happen. Sure enough, as it got dark, we heard the sounds of engines. We saw headlights tearing across the empty, and then we saw a pillar of flame. It had to be a half-mile high. And then it was gone. A second there, a second not. “What in the hell?” said Alice. “Uh…hahaha... This is getting good,” said Tanya, hunching down on his heels. There was the sound of music, like um...a violin. Only, a violin the size of the world. I felt it in my bones. And then the car engines faded, headlights disappeared, no more violin. “Well,” I said. “We went looking for weird. I think we found weird!” Spent a hot and restless night in that powerless RV, and at sunrise, we went hiking. I kept a close eye out for rattlesnakes and scorpions. I mean, the world scares me, but I would argue that this is a rational response to the world. We came across a cairn, stones piled high up maybe twenty feet, decorated with latex paint and car parts. It was a shrine. We all felt it. Um…a place of worship. Out here, east of Raleigh, near the Chocolate Mountains. The centerpiece was the big hood of a truck, turned on its side and painted like a sign. “The World Makes,” it said. “He Takes.” “Shit,” I said. “I’d say this here is a religion,” said Tanya. “Yeah, I’d say you’re right,” said Alice. That afternoon, back at the bar with no name and maybe no owner. Same scene as yesterday, Lisa and Luis posted up on stools, Tito and their friends over in the corner. “That was really something,” I said over the beers Lisa grabbed us. “We offer ourselves every night,” said Lisa, “and we hope that someday He will take us.” “Take?” I said. “Our races are an act of worship,” said Luis. “Outsiders don’t really get it.” “Most nights, we offer ourselves up on that highway,” said Tito. “And sometimes, the winner, they get accepted.” “What happens to people who get accepted?” asked Alice. “The world makes!” said Lisa. “He takes!” “So… Sometimes the winner of these races, they just disappear?” I asked. “No,” said Tito. “They are accepted! Someday, we all will be. ‘Til then, we wait our turn. We race until He takes us. And then we don’t have to worry anymore.” “Woohee, I love this town!” said Tanya. Back at the RV that evening, we compared notes. “This is the most entertaining bullshit I have ever seen,” said Tanya. “Yeah, I’ve seen too much to find this funny,” said Alice. “If they say the winner is sometimes accepted or taken or whatever they wanna call it, then I believe them.” “What about you, Keisha?” asked Tanya. [sighs] “I don’t know,” I said. The wind kicked in cool from the west, a memento of the distant ocean. “I just… I don’t know.” That night, we went out with the caravan of racers, piling into Tanya’s Jeep that we had towed with the RV, following the convoy to the abandoned highway, its asphalt worn smooth by fine grit carried by a wind and tires. The cars and trucks solemnly lined up where the highway dissipated into desert. A single air horn was blown, and off they went into the night. There was no column of fire. I heard no violin song. It was a race between old and beat-up cars. Luis won, I think. He came driving back. “All of you here?” called out Tanya. “No one was accepted tonight,” said Tito. “See, what did I tell you all?” Tanya said to Alice and I. “Total bullshit. I love it!” The next morning, once more to the bar. What else was there to do? Except leave, I suppose. [sighs] I suppose we could’ve always done that, but we were not the type. We’re the type that keeps pushing until something goes wrong. Speaking of which… “I want in,” said Tanya. “Let me race.” Everyone was quiet. Then, Lisa spoke. “We won’t stop you. Everyone has the right to offer, as long as they understand that any offer might get accepted.” “Kickass,” said Tanya. Luis shook his head, finished his beer, crushed the can, threw it behind the bar, and left. “This is silly,” said Alice later as the sun sauntered off the scene. “What if it’s real? We get home safe, and you throw it away for this?” “Alice,” said Tanya, “It’s not real! And anyway, even if it was, being accepted doesn’t sound that bad. Some of us don’t get accepted that often by anything.” And then I said, “I want to go with you,” before I knew I was doing it. I had just seen so much in this world, and it had made me greedy, I – I wanted to see more. Alice didn’t say anything. She didn’t have the right to stop me, and she knew it. I got in the passenger seat of Tanya’s Jeep, and we joined the convoy one more time. As the dark settled, we joined the lineup. The highway in front of us curved down a bowl of a valley before coming up on the other side. It felt like I could see twenty miles in front of me. The air horn went off, and Tanya accelerated hard off the line. “I love this shit!” Tanya said. We were quickly in the lead, given that so many of these cars weren’t in any shape to race. Out in front, it felt less like driving and more like falling. We hurtled down the bowl of the valley, and it felt like we would collapse forever into the dark in front of us, and then– That column of fire. It was so tall, and yet I felt no heat. For a moment, the entire world was alight, and then it was gone. I heard music that felt like it was playing in my bones, reverberating in my skin. Tanya didn’t seem to notice anything; he was set on winning. I looked up, and where before there had been a field of stars, now I saw that the stars had...arranged themselves into a face. It wasn’t a human face, the- the configuration was dizzying and alien, but somehow, still, I knew it was a face...looking down at us. I wanted to scream, but I was afraid that if I did, then the face made of stars would scream back. And ahead, I saw flares on the highway. Markers for the finish line. The only other car close to us was Lisa, and she was a few lengths back. Tanya was going to win. Sometimes, the winner gets accepted, and then they never come back, and– ok, I don’t believe that. Ok, that-that was just one of those stories that gets told in the places where they never bother to run power lines, but I saw that face made of stars. I knew that I would see it for the rest of my life. “Slow down, Tanya,” I said. “Slow down, hell!” he said. “We’ve got this in the bag!” “Tanya!” I said, and he heard the desperation in my voice, and that shook him out of it. “Tanya,” I said. “Let someone else win.” And he did. He eased off, and Lisa passed us and crossed the finish line. And what happened next would be hard to describe. I saw the stars reach down and take her. Not like a-a hand made of stars; the movement was more abstract than that. The entire universe came down to this one little spot in the desert, and it scooped Lisa’s car up, and then snapped back into the infinite. Lisa was gone. Neither Tanya nor I spoke. When the world says that to you, how do you even begin to say anything back? [exhales] We returned to the bar. Alice threw her arms around both of us. “I thought you were gone,” she said. “I’m right here,” I said. There was a celebratory mood among the racers. Tito got everyone drinks from the fridge. “So, where is Lisa?” I said. “She’s gone!” Tito said. “She got accepted. No one who gets accepted comes back.” “Will you miss her?” I asked. “Hell, we’ll celebrate her!” They cheered, and they drank the warm beer and hugged until the night wore on ‘til late, and they retired to wherever it was that they all slept, because they were going to do the race all over again tomorrow. With one less racer than they had a few days before. I stumbled out to the intersection, not sure how to understand this bargain that they were making with...whatever it was I had seen. Luis came out after. He had been quiet, the least celebratory. He had been Lisa’s friend, after all. He smiled, put one warm hand on my hand, and said, as gentle as he could, “Outsiders don’t really get it.” He squeezed my hand once and walked off, and I never saw him or any of them again. I wonder, now, if I went down to Raleigh and then headed out east past the Chocolate Mountains, would I ever even be able to find that place again? I don’t think so. I don’t think so. We got back in our RV, drove back to Alice and I’s home, where we lived, where we belonged, where we would build the rest of our lives. “I love you!” I said to Tanya. “Stay in touch!” “Stay in touch, shit!” said Tanya, sweeping me into a tight hug. “I’ll be seeing you on our next trip. I bet that RV can carry us to some truly strange places, mm?” Then, Alice and I stood, arm in arm, watching him drive his Jeep away, and then we were alone. I caught her gaze, and she caught mine, and we laughed. I don’t know why we laughed. Sometimes, when the universe stares down at you with its cold, alien eyes, there is nothing more human than to look back...and to laugh.

So what issues would you like them to tackle that hasn’t already been done on the show before?
(I just want to say this is my first ask ever and I've been here since... God maybe 2013? So thank you!!)
I would LOVE to see a new dimension to sexuality. I'm also casually of the team that's "Sara herself should say Bisexual" because Bisexual has only been said once on screen and Nate said it casually.. We have a scene where Sara says tells Nurse Lindsay that Lesbian isn't a bad word yet the show kinda doesn't act that way about Bi. Bi erasure is an issue that would be interesting-- since Sara is with Ava, it would be neat to have some line of "i didn't pick a team" or just along the lines of Still Bi With A Woman.
(They also missed an opertunity with Charlie to use neutral pronouns of some kind)--> a discussion further on gender identity would be cool too. There are casual set ups for this with Charlie, like in the Shakespeare episode, but nothing is ever really taken completely seriously or honestly even explicitly. I would really enjoy a nonbinary or intersex narrative in this particular context because I feel like the team of legends (as the people the characters are) would fit really nicely with that. But it would be cool to have a trans character that Gideon helps? Because the arrowverse trans character (in Supergirl-- Nia) is already transitioned. It would be cool to have a transitioning characer in a really casual way even (a particular scenario would be New Character leaving sickbey while someone else walks in. Other person asked if New is feeling OK and New just says like "oh yeah, just my hormones.). But yeah anything with gender identity.
I always hunger for more disability stories, but based on how they Wrote Sara's blindness... yikes. I remember watching a panel or something on YouTube about how Caity was hoping that Sara was at least going to have a cane or be shown to struggle with some stuff, but the writers ignored all of that. So its kind of touchy based on that but I think it would be really neat to have someone with a prosthetic (or even just an amputation, someone born without a limb, etc.)-- it would be a beautiful narrative about 'Gideon can literally grow you a new arm' and that character firmly saying no, this is me, having this difference doesn't make me less, you aren't "fixing" me because I'm not broken, I like myself, etc, whatever.
I know that for me personally one of the best things about the show is that Sara and Ava don't have to come out, and everyone just treats them like normal, but I think some kind of homophobia narrative would be good, not to a big extent but just to the extent like in S1 when Kendra and Ray move in 1950s and that dynamic only with the girls. Like, for the show to acknowledge homophobia in such a direct way, as they did with interracial relationships. This beyond the obvious homophobia of the Nazis. (I personally can't think of an aspect where its implied, but sometimes I can miss or misinterpret implicated stuff like that).
I would love to see a return to POC cultures and narratives (narratives outside of racism) S1 with Kendra and Carter and the Egyptian culture aspect, Amaya and Zambesi aspect. We see a tad bit of this with Zari and the bollywood scene, and Japan post WW2, but they are more side aspects now. It would be neat to go to India or other places in southeast Asia (culturally), or Central/South America. Overall, I would just like to see more of that cultural aspect because human culture is something that interests me a lot and I feel like can be easily casually thrown in with time travel--- traditional clothes, buildings, and ideals (an example of the ideals is the discussion in feudal Japan about the cultures views on death).
I feel like there was a lot of potential with Hank and Sara to continue that discussion about women in power. Yes, we have discussed this before. We do it a lot in second season with the JSA and even Jonah Hex but I think Hank had a lot of potential to add a dimension to that discussion. (honestly see next paragraph for more). That whole episode with the Minotaur i would have loved if they'd been a bit more explicit with that-- yes, obviously a woman can be in charge (in Hanks mind) but he has the right to walk in there and take over because her experience doesn't matter and also we will do whatever he wants. Sara spends almost the whole time just rolling her eyes and bitting her tongue besides a light quip in the beginning asking if a girls ever punched him. in the past Sara has literally exerted dominance over men so I was just kind of disappointed with that dynamic. I love the character of Sara as an "unconventional woman" or a "strange friend" and I've noticed comments like that pretty much stopped after the 3rd season. I know some people hated those comments but I think they can be good. I enjoyed them and would like to see them again because it's literally just Sara being unapologetically herself, a strong woman, doing whatever she does, no matter how weird or unconventional it is. (Which is an integral part of Saras character to me)
BUT its also not necessarily "new" issues. Issues don't go away in real life-- we had multiple issues about Race in America with Jax, from different points in history (Slavery and the 1950s). Jax even mentions how he still experiences Rascism today. The issues don't go away and just because they are mentioned once doesn't mean they can't (and shouldn't) be examined from other points in history. IE just because the show has talked about it before doesn't mean we can't talk about it again from a different angle and/or perspective.
I see a lot of potential with Astra with the racism thing (people are nicer to me in literal Hell) but it also would have been interesting with Mona, to show a different type of racism would have been INCREDIBLE.
I also can think of maybe a scene or two that would have just been a nice touch with Zari (either one, but I have a soft spot for Zari 1.0, and I think with her life as an illegal Muslim would have been an enriching perspective) as a Muslim. They are very good to her character in the way that she obviously abstains from Liquor and Pork, and observes Ramadan. But one thing that would have been interesting is for Zari to experience early 2000s (or honesty still right now) xenophobia. Especially Z1 since being a Muslim is Illegal in 2045 there was a lot of emotional potential there. (Although I feel like I can understand why the writers didn't want to touch that because of current conflicts).
Since we're going to outer space (that was actually confirmed right? Or was it just hinted and I misread??), I think issues will have to be character driven rather than time period driven. But therin we have a lot of potential-- a race of aliens without distinct genders (wait, so your worth can be dictated based off of your genitals?? Plus sexuality stuff there), aliens confused about race (I don't understand some of your skins are different colors... and your people treat each other differently based on this?). We could introduce a matriarchal society, which the crew with Captain Lance feel particularly unphased by. Perhaps we have a completely pacifist society or aliens made of inorganic materials (debates about what constitutes as alive, what lives are meaningful, etc.) You get the idea(I adore star trek so you can imagine my glee thinking about some of those scenarios).
I think for me, the hard shift to comedy was at the expense of some of my favorite aspects of the show and also things that set it apart. This Found Family is so rewarding because they are all so so different but those differences enrich each other. They become better people and feel at home without having to change who they fundamentally are. And they are whoever they want to be. I feel like now the show has simply had an incredibly jarring tone shift thats trying too hard to be a comedy. (This one is just an opinion but a joke among all the serious is always just a lot more funny to me. I find myself laughing more at one liners and random stuff in the early seasons. Now it feels like 'ok, what's the next ridiculous thing.')
I think... humanity is pretty dark. But humanity also rises above. This is why I adore the episode from post WW2 Japan and to me it personally really stands out from other episodes in s4/s5. The idea of creating and destroying, pain and sadness locked inside, terror and hatred for the beings you share the planet with. That pain creates monsters. Sometimes by accident. (Sara's pain turned her into the version of herself she called a monster.). And also about embracing your passions (Mick hiding his writing). In that episode, we still have jokes about Godzilla. Garima appears and its hilarious. But it's also an incredibly powerful narrative about pain and fear and shame and gives a perspective that the western audience wouldnt... necessarily think about (the actual consequences and what the bomb actually literally did.).
That darkness makes the light so much more meaningful. If everything becomes light... than why are we still fighting?
Sorry if this is jumbled, I'm on mobile so.
Also, sorry if this is a rant or whatever. I am very passionate about this topic and oh boy if I was on a computer and had the time I'd probably repondd with a link to a doc.

Party in the USA
Hey guys, It's @leelee10898.Ive been MIA from CGW for a while, I miss it so much.. In light of the 4th of July, ive thrown together some squad shenanigans for ya!! I tried my damndest to get this finished yesterday, but no luck... I did a super fast edit, so im sorry, but this shit is gonna be flawed lol.. enjoy.
Tumblr media
The Royal Jett touched down in Dulles international airport as the girls squealed in their seats. It was 4th of July weekend and they were excited to share it with their men, since not one of them had ever celebrated the extremely patriotic American Holiday.  "Nothing says 4th of July like celebrating in our nation's capital." Anitah beamed as she stepped off the plane, joining the group who already exited. "Well, you're the queen of Cordonia now, she is your Nation now Love." Liam grinned as he kissed her cheek. "Um no offense Liam, but this will always be our nation." Alicia butted in. "Yeah, 'Merica!" Genevieve pumped her fist. "Merica?" Liam whispered to Drake "yeah. Short for America. Just, go with it Li." Drake shook his head. Pam laughed at her friends "ok Ladies, how about we get settled and go find something to get into."
They opted to rent a house instead of a hotel so they could grill and chill the proper way. "Oh shit, there's a pool, I can't even wait to jump in that later." Alicia smirked as she winked at Leo. "Clothing optional love?" He smirked as Liam rolled his eyes. "Why are you two always naked every trip we take?" Liam huffed as the two shrugged. "Well, we could just start right now." Leo began tugging at his shorts.  "NO!" the group resounded. "Hey guys, I seen a huge fireworks tent down the street. We should go check it out." Maxwell walked outside where the group had converged, a glass of purple liquid in hand. "Maxwell, what do you have there?" Drake eyed him suspiciously. "Just some punch." He shrugged, giving the girls a look.
One by one the girls made their way inside sneaking drinks of maxwell's punch. Once they reached a nice buzz they decided to venture off into DC. They watched a parade, sampled some summertime staples including funnel cake and deep fried oreos. There was a carnival being held and they would have a fireworks display at night fall. "Oh! The zipper. I loved that ride."  They eyed the caged ride "how's your tummy feeling Gen?" Pam gave her a look. "It's good, let's do this shit!"
"Are you sure darling? This doesn't look safe." Rashad voiced his concern.  "Psh, safe shamafe. This shit is indestructible,it's probably like 40 years old." Anitah snorted.
"Yeah because everyone wants to ride a 40 year old death trap. No thanks Brooks." Drake held up his hands and shook his head. "Its ok Drake, I think the ferris wheel is calling our names." Pam winked at her husband,  who then adjusted his pants.
Rashad looked at Genevieve, and then to the zipper swallowing audibly she took his hand and led him towards the ride. "It's gonna be ok Rashad.  Do it for America." She smiled at him.
Maxwell had already been strapped in the seat and moved up Liam and Anitah also already on the ride in a cart halfway up. "Ok this doesn't seem to bad love." Liam leaned back as they slowly made their way up letting others on. "Oh it's great. Just wait until we really get going." She smirked. Liam arched his brow "what does that mean,my queen?"
"So how does this work exactly?" Leo asked Alicia. "Well, we basically go around in a circle, and flip upside down, a lot. You don't have a weak stomach do you Leo?"
"No. I can handle it. Liam on the other hand, he's going to puke or scream. Maybe both." He chuckled. "My money's on both.  Anitah is going to laugh at him." Alicia giggled.
"You know Love, thing we haven't done yet." He gave her the signature Rhys smirk "oh. Shit. Leo." She jerked as she felt his long fingers slip between her legs.
"Gen, love. I'm not so sure about this. Why does it move like that?" Rashad began to panic. "It's supposed to move like that. Just calm down,  it's gonna be so much fun." She patted his leg. "It's supposed to sound like it needs 4 quarts of oil on the rickety old Metal?" Genevieve let out a high pitched squeal. "This is going to be so much fun. If you piss your pants, I will laugh at you." Suddenly the ride jerked and picked up speed, their cart reached the top as it flipped over. Rashad let out a long girlish scream as they plummeted upside down towards the ground.
"Oh my god. Oh my god im gonna diiiiie." Liam screamed as Anitah laughed uncontrollably.  She wasn't sure if it was the thrill of the ride, or Liam's girlish screams but she was definitely enjoying herself. "Oh god. Noooooo. Help me!" He screamed again, joining Rashad in fear stricken symphony.
The ride came to an end Liam ran to the nearest trash can, head inside as he puked.  "Told you he would puke." Leo laughed as Anitah stood next to her husband, giving him a sympathetic pat on the back as the other hand gave him bunny ears for a photo.
A dizzy Rashad stumbled off the ride "see baby. That wasn't so bad." Genevieve looked at Rashad who was pale faced. "That was." He retched  "I just…" His hand flew over his face as he bolted towards the trash can next to Liam.
"Looks like those two couldn't handle the ride huh?" Drake snorted as he and Pam approached the group. "Nope. Hey how come you two didn't ride? Scared Drake?" Alicia teased.  "He wasn't scared. We just, had other plans." Pam blushed as Drake pulled her into his side. "Why are your pants unbuttoned?" Anitah questioned, before going wide eyed in realization. "How about we go back to the house, and get this party started." Leo Spoke up.
"For once, I agree with my brother.  I've had enough of this." Liam spit into the trash can. "Wait. Where's Maxwell?"
"Maxwell.  Max." They called, and he didn't come. "He will find his way back. Lets just go." Drake took Pam's hand "Drake, were in Washington,  not Cordonia how's he going to find his way?" Anitah folded her hands across her chest. "He's like a damn puppy brooks. He will find his way home, now come on." Drake grunted as Anitah finally gave in.
Back at the house Drake and Leo ran to the store, returning a short while later with a few cases of beer and some liquor and wine. Still no sign of Maxwell. "I'm gonna call him." Alicia pulled her phone out and dialed his number, they heard it ringing inside.  "Looks like he left his phone behind." Rashad lifted the phone off the counter. "I hope he is ok. Maybe we should call the police?" Pam worried, it wasn't like Maxwell to stray so far from the group.
Finally Maxwell came sauntering in, hands full of bags.  "Maxwell!" Anitah shouted as she wrapped him in a hug "where the hell have you been?" She slapped his arm. "Ouch, hey little blossom that hurt!" He rubbed his arm "I went to the fireworks tent. Look at all the cool stuff I got. "I'll be taking these." Drake reached out to grab the bags, Maxwell recoiled defensively, clutching the explosives to his chest. "No, these are mine. Don't take my toys away Drake."
"Maxwell, let me see what you have." Leo walked over sorting through the bag. "Um Maxwell,  most of these are illegal in DC. Where did you even get these?" Maxwell smiled, oh I took an Uber to Virginia. "Ok Maxwell. You can have these and these." Liam held him out a box of sparklers and some fountains.  "The rest, were putting up." He handed the bags to Bastian.
"Yeah, can you imagine Maxwell with a damn mortar? He would blow up the damn shed over there." Drake chuckled, and then shook his head.
The night went on, the group getting drunker by the minute.  Liam sat perched up on the steps of the pool, wearing American flag swim trunks and a stars and stripes bandana around his head. "Woooooo 'Merica!" He hollered as the group around him screamed " 'MERICA" back. Genevieve and Anitah danced on the picnic table in their skimpy bikinis, beers in hand. Alicia and Leo were busy in the corner. hands all over each other while Rashad and Maxwell played a game of washers.
"Hey, look what fell out of the bag." Pam beamed as she walked over with a small box. "The singing lotus?" Drake looked at it. "Huh. Looks like it plays the star spangled banner, when you light it." He pulled the content from the box and sat it on the patio next to the pool, carefully lighting the fuse and backing away.
The fireworks began to spin, sparks of red, gold and blue shot from the center while it played a very distorted version of the star spangled banner. "Oh my god. My ears, make it stop." Genevieve shouted as she held her hands over her ears.
Alicia stood up, momentarily stepping away from Leo and began to belt out the song.
Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
Gen and Anitah stopped dancing, and began to sing along. Pam joining in as well.
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
"Play ball!" Anitah and Alicia said in unison. They looked at the burned out dilapidated flower. "Man that was a sad excuse for a firework. " drake mumbled "Just look at it." The group looked down at the melted heap of plastic and soot.
As the night went on and the sun went down, the group were pretty drunk. Pam and Drake disappeared into the pool shed, Anitah and Genevieve continued to dance and sing on the picnic table while Rashad and Liam looked on. Leo and Alicia ended up in the pool together,  while nobody noticed Maxwell had snuck off again. Anitah had convinced Liam to let her paint his face in the American Flag, so he just sat there arm slung over the chair, red white and blue face with a Budweiser in hand.
Rashad started to babble,  staring straight ahead. He made no sense whatsoever and the only thing he could do was point. "Rashad, what the hell are you trying to say. Spit it out." Genevieve snapped. Finally climbing down from the picnic table she stood in front of him waving her hands in front of his face "helllooooo?"  "Shiminag hemmeinah. Ah ma tha…" he babbled.
Suddenly a firework whizzed past Liam's head and exploded against the pool shed. "Run for cover." Liam screamed as he dove into the pool. Rashad still standing there dumbfounded Genevieve tried with all her might to pull him away, but he wouldn't budge. "I love you, but I don't feel like getting blown up." She yelled taking Anita's hand and jumping into the pool.
"What the fuck is going on out here?" Pam snapped as she and a Drake stumbled out of the shed. Another firework crashed into the shed, pam screamed and ran into the pool. Drakes pants fell around his ankles as he tried to run,  he kicked them off and joined his wife in the pool.
Fireworks were flying dangerously low, explosions everywhere as Maxwell sensed the sudden danger and ran for cover under the porch. Alicia and Leo obvious to the Chao ensuing around them, continued to have sex in the corner of the pool. Alicia opened her eyes looking above her. "Leo. I see fireworks." She gasped. "I know baby. I have that effect. " she smirked as he thrust into her. "No, you ass. The fucking back yards a war zone." She tapped his shoulder, and pointed to the disaster area. Leo loomed around the pool, their friends and family screaming. Bastien on the phone with the fire company, deftly ducked under a bottle rocket headed straight for his head. "Beaumont,  when I get my hands on you." Bastien shouted. "Im sorry bas. I didn't mean to light all the fuses." Maxwell shouted back.
Dark smoke plummeted from the pool shed where Pam was giving Drake a blow job, just moments prior. "Hope they got insurance " Leo joked as he and Alicia swam up to the group. Liam rolled his eyes taking not of their nude forms.  "Where the hell are your clothes?" He held back a snicker. He wasn't three sheets to the wind drunk, he would have been more annoyed at the situation at hand.
"Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave…" Alicia began to sing. "This again?" Drake rolled his eyes.  "Just sing along Walker." Pam kissed his lips.
"O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!" The group sang along,  just as the fire company rushed in putting the shed out.
The following Monday Liam walked into the council meeting, shoulders back, head held high. The hushed whispers began to circulate the room as Liam cleared his throat. "Shall we begin?" After the meeting a young council member approached him. "Your majesty, please may I speak freely?" Liam nodded "of course Lord Nicholas. And its Liam."
"Liam. Why Is there a faded Flag on your face?" Liam hung his head and shook it, recalling the past weekend's antics. Sighing loudly, he lifted his head. "Nick. Have you ever been to America on the 4th of July?"

I also powerwatched GoT Season 2...
I stopped pretending I was only going to have three things to say about each episode.
2x01
1. Sandor backing Sansa’s “it’s bad luck to kill someone on your birthday” play is SMOOTH. He has her back and I kind of love it????
2. BRAN WARGING! Back when this show cared about magical/fantasy elements that weren’t the dragons.
3. Ugh Theon’s idealism when he offers to go to his family for Robb stabs me right through the heart. (Also he likes calling Robb “Your Grace” A LOT and it makes me cackle and then want to go read fic.)
2x02
1. Cersei asking after Jaime while everyone else looks awkward gives me joy.
2. Gilly!!!! She’s so darling. And so is Sam. And Jon’s “Hello Gilly. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” makes me giggle. What stellar delivery.
3. Theon returning to Pyke is so sad and the castle on Pyke looks SO COOL. (And Yarra keeping a straight face during that horse ride makes me smile just as much as Balon Greyjoy makes me furious.)
4. Bonus: Gendry telling Arya he knows she’s a girl is precious. In fact every second they are on screen are so cute it should be illegal.
5. Bonus bonus: John saw a white walker (Or was that a wight?) Pick up a baby at Craster’s in SEASON FUCKING TWO. How did they so thoroughly fuck up that arc?
2x03
1. This episode was written by Bryan Cogman and directed by Alik Sakharov; which means I was going to love it because Cogman cared a lot about the story and the books, and Sakharov did one of my favorite director commentaries I’ve ever listened to.
2. Brienne’s intro is so great. She is such SERIOUS BUSINESS. Renly genuinely smiling and being happy to have her around :....( he would have been a good king.
3. THEON’S FACE WHEN HE SAYS YOUR LAST BOY JUST LEAVE ME HERE also THAT SHOT OF THEON HIS FACE LIT BY THE BURNING LETTER AND ALL ELSE IN DARKNESS AKDHWISJHSJJSSHSJ CINEMATOGRAPHY AND DIRECTING
4. Bonus: I remember how cute Gethin and Loras’s actor were about Loras and Renly and it gives me warm fuzzies
5. Bonus bonus: Yoren giving Arya the idea that will become her list is a nice moment and A GIRL IS CLEVER telling them Gendry was the dead boy!
2x04: one of the only episodes written by a woman!
1. Ok I love Lannister soldiers playing “who is GOAT?” before Greywind attacks.
2. I’m sorry all the blood just rushed to my eyes because I saw red during the scene with Joffrey having Sansa beaten in front of EVERYONE.
3. Catelyn Stark angrily brandishing a knife at Littlefinger when he’s all “I’ve always loved yoooooouuu” is A Big Mood.
4. Davos “WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST SEE” Seaworth, ladies, gentlemen, and honored folk....
2x05
1. Catelyn keeping her cool and being smart under pressure and keeping Brienne alive is some A++ women helping women stuff.
2. The room with all the latticework where Cersei and Tyrion talk is SO PRETTY. And Tyrion is... actually trying to do right by the city and his family. It’s sad, really.
3. I’d forgotten how much I liked Dagmer for actually helping Theon rather than just making fun of him for a lack of knowledge that isn’t his fault.
4. I remember there was some debate having Arya as Tywin’s cupbearer since it was a pretty major change to the books, but it gave us some great interactions between two super talented actors, and those scenes are... mostly(??) in character and reveal interesting things about them, so I’m on the side of “I love it.”
5. Wow, but the Fist of the First Men is beautiful. And I love Sam’s love of history and how it lets him do world building in an endearing way.
6. Brienne swearing to Catelyn literally just brought tears to my eyes.
2x06
1. Bran’s “Did you hate us the whole time?” to Theon is a moment that will have me in tears every time I hear it. Let’s just pretend I’ve flailed about every upsetting second Theon is on screen and how many awards Alfie deserves and call it a day.
2. Arya’s OH SHIT face when she hears that Littlefinger is about to come into the room... priceless.
3. Sandor Clegane is an Incredibly Useful Person.
4. I know he’s really different from the books, but Xaro Xhoan Daxos is so handsome and INTERESTING in the show, and Qarth is SO PRETTY. Like the clothes the sets... everything.
5. Probably Dyslexic Jaime is one of my favorite little touches the show added, and Tywin’s reaction to it was... very him.
6. Ygritte’s Wildling flirting is... both hilarious and adorable. Jon never knew what hit him.
2x07
1. Dany’s WHERE ARE MY DRAGONS? Iconic, and understandable given that they are three of the rarest things on earth.
2. Shae being willing to knife a girl to keep Sansa’s secret. Friendship goals. Also the following conversation between Cersei and Sansa is nuanced and breaks my heart. Anyone who says Cersei is 100% evil didn’t watch this scene carefully enough.
3. Jaime talking about squiring for Barristan Selmy and how much he loves fighting is a good way to show us that when we can’t be in his head. (Also is this the same fight he was talking about in season 1 in Robert’s office with Barristan? I think it is...)
4. Quaithe was super cool and mysterious and I wish we knew more about her, and Pyatt Pree was CREEPY AS FUCK how did I forget that he killed the 13?
5. Oh right because there’s a Jaime scene next and somehow Brienne makes “Man” the worst insult ever and she is magical.
6. Also that Cersei and Tyrion scene at the end KILLS ME. “I always hoped he’d be like Jaime...” also she voices doubts in the show WAY MORE than book!Cersei does. But... Lena and Peter make it real and complicated.
7. SO MANY VOWS. I still love everything about this. And Jaime trying to press EVERY ONE of Catelyn’s buttons is... amusing as always.
1x08
1. Wherever Robb and Talisa are walking on the way back from the Crag is SO PRETTY I just want to pitch a tent and camp there for a week.
2. Jaime falling off a horse and introducing himself to Brienne like she doesn’t know who he is WHAT AN ASSHOLE I LOVE HIM. This is the beginning of a BEAUTIFUL ROAD TRIP.... Canoe trip?
3. I want to eat a pie with sour cherries like Hot Pie is describing....
4. Bronn and Tyrion trying and failing to pronounce that historian’s name is SO FUNNY to me right now. This show used to be good at balancing little character moments and Serious Business.
5. Jacqen H’Ghar is clearly asking himself how a man got himself into this situation with this strange girl.
6. Robb and Roose Bolton talking about hunting Theon down gives me the stomach lurches.
7. Robb Stark makes ROmanTiC BuT pooR LiFE ChOIceS
2x09: it’s BLACKWATER TIME! Huzzah for ships and sea battles!
1. Cersei getting the poison from Pycelle stops my heart a bit.
2. We get to hear a bit of “The Rains of Castamere” for the first time!
3. Nearly died laughing at Varys’ “I’ve always hated the bells.” ME AND YOU AND THE WHOLE FANDOM, MY FRIEND.
4. I still LOVE THE CLEVERNESS OF TYRION’S PLAN. And the suspense... so good. “There’s only one ship...” Bronn firing the arrow and it hitting the water ALL OF IT.
5. Increasingly drunk Cersei is cruel and tragic and funny and I love her so much my heart doesn’t know what to do.
6. “Awwww pooR Sandor” is a reaction I NEVER thought I’d have about his little moment of paralysis after seeing the burning soldier but we never step in the same river twice and all that, and this time around I def had that reaction. And cheered at “fuck the King” for SANDOR’s sake.
7. I’ve said this before but PODRICK PAYNE FOR SQUIRE OF THE CENTURY
8. oh hai Renly’s ghost and dad Lannister (Daddister?)
2x10: Valar Morghulis, BITCHES
1. Tywin’s horse shitting just outside the throne room because Tywin needed to ride it in for some reason is the line of Lannister Extra (tm) that makes me love this awful family.
2. Show Margaery Tyrell is a devious Player of the Game, and I am enjoying that this time around. (Also I see shades of Anne Boleyn in the Tudors, and that was a performance I enjoyed.)
3. Jaime WATCHES Brienne all the time, like he’s trying to figure her out, and then making up that story on a DIME, and the two of them trying to sell it... FRENEMY GOALS.
4. If people watch the scene with Theon and Maester Luwin and think Theon deserved what he got, they are dumb. My poor identity crisis in kraken from... (Also thank you subtitles for telling me WEX IS THERE? I love him in the books but I’m sure they just used that name without attaching it to someone.)
5. So in the books the House of the Undying was SO CREEPY I had to stop reading because it was too late at night and I was too freaked out and I WAS IN MY 30S! So the way they did it here was just so underwhelming. Yet more proof that the producers didn’t buy into or value the parts of the story that were too “fantasy.” Did Pyatt Pree just... not know dragons breathed fire? Or did he thing they were too little? Idk that seemed a stupid plan he had.
6. I’m fine just crying over Maester Luwin like I didn’t know he died.
7. In the final episode, if we get a shot of the throne room in the red keep looking like Dany’s vision... but with ash instead of snow... at least it’ll be a bit of continuity.
8. That third horn blast still gave me chills on a warm day. Well done, season 2.

He Insists - Chapter III
A RDR2 Modern AU Written by: @ninja-nurse, Inspired by: @heart-of-gold-outlaw and with Special Thanks to: @ceruleanchillin and @teumessianfox
Warning: Language, Spoilers
Introduction | Chapter I | Chapter II | Chapter III | Chapter IV | Chapter V
"If those girls are going to be with us," Dutch said to the men, "they're going to need to learn to defend themselves." "What are you suggesting?"  Arthur asked. "I want you and John to take them to the gunsmith in Valentine.  Get them both a pistol and some ammunition, and teach them how to shoot." John smiled. Arthur hit his arm, as he stood next to the man, "You should bring Jack too." He nodded. "They're going to need horses too."  Arthur said, "I know where I can get a couple good horses and tack real cheap." "They'll have to learn to ride." "I think they already do.  I know Caitlin does."   John nodded. Dutch nodded, "They're a part of this family now, albeit we don't know for how long, but they're John's blood.  We need to take care of them."
Sophia crossed her arms, "I don't want to go." "Sophia," John tried to reason with her, "you need to protect yourself out here." "I'll pass."  She looked at the man, seeing the hurt on his face, "Thank you for the offer though." He sighed. "I'm sorry.  This was never my... thing.  I don't like guns.  I don't like riding horses.  I don't appreciate that our family line is a bunch of criminal misfits.  No offence." "Little taken."  He furrowed his brow, looking at her. "I'm sorry, John."  She looked at him sincerely, "You're my great great grandfather, and for that I love you.  Without you...  I wouldn't be here, but...  I don't want to live this life.  I just want to go home." "I get that, but...  You're here.  You can't change that.  I'm just trying to keep you two alive, so you can go back in one piece." She sighed, feeling badly, "Fine." He smiled, "Good."
*That Night*
"I'm proud of you, John Marston."  The woman said, putting her hand on the man's shoulder, as he sat alone at the fire. He looked up at her, "Yeah?  For what?" "I've seen quite a change in you since our girls got here."  Abigail said, "You've been very attentive to them.  You've really been a father to Jack, which... is all I've ever wanted from you, John." He sighed, holding the beer bottle in his hands, "I'm sorry I left, Abigail." She looked at him. "I'm not going to make excuses, and I don't want to talk about that time, but...  I need you to know that I'm sorry, and I'm here.  I'm here for this gang.  I'm here for you.  I'm here for Jack." She smiled. "What?" "You're an idiot, John Marston."  She hugged him, kissing him. He smiled, kissing her back.
*The Next Morning*
"Where's Arthur?"  Caitlin asked. Sadie looked at her, "I don't know.  He left a while ago." She nodded. "What is it about him?" "What?" "I mean, you're clearly in love with him." "I'm not."  She scoffed. "Then why are you trying so hard to save him?" "I'm not."  She became defensive. "You put an awful big production into stopping him from going on that job for Strauss a while back for someone who isn't trying to save the man she loves." "I'm not having this conversation with you." "Fine."  She said, "I just want you to think about this." Caitlin looked at her. Sadie stood close to her, almost whispering, "You get your sad, angry little cowboy.  You make him fall in love with you.  You go home."  The woman raised her eyebrows, putting her arms out, "What happens then?" Caitlin's eyes filled with tears. "That man has had enough loss in his life.  He doesn't need..." "Did Sophia put you up to this?"  She interrupted the woman, not wanting to hear anything else she had to say. "No."  She said, "I'm just looking out for a friend." "I'm not doing this with you, Sadie."  She shook her head, walking away from her. Sadie watched her walk away, shaking her head.
Sophia dropped a pile of clothes next to Caitlin, "I'll wash.  You can hang." Caitlin nodded. "Are you ok?" "I'm fine."  Caitlin sighed.  She was quiet for a few minutes, "Do you think anyone is looking for us?"   Sophia nodded, "I would imagine they would be." "Maybe this is just all a dream, and we're going to wake up in the morning at home, in our beds." Sophia shook her head, "A nightmare is what it is." "It's not so bad." "I have a job, Cait!"  She gasped, suddenly, "If I still have a job.  I have... a family.  I have... a life!" "...and I don't?"  Caitlin raised her voice, bringing attention to them, "Who do you think has been running that ranch you've been living at... rent free I may add?  Who do you think has been taking care of those animals, and keeping everything in repair, and paying the electric, and every goddamn thing else.  The place is over a hundred years old.  It sure as hell doesn't care for itself." "I just think you're a little too comfortable here." "Comfortable?"  She laughed, "How comfortable is it that I was almost sprayed by a skunk this morning because I had to squat behind a bush to pee.  I'm fucking starving.  I haven't had a decent nights sleep since we got here.  How comfortable is it that I know what's going to happen to every one of these fucking people, and there's not a goddamn thing I can do about it." "You had no problem saving your wannabe boyfriend from death's door.  Why don't you just save them all, Cait?  It's what you want, isn't it?" "You know what,"  Caitlin growled, "Fuck you, Sophia!" "Girls, Grimshaw is coming."  Karen got involved, "You might want to settle." Sophia reached her hand back, slapping the girl. Cait gasped, blood trickling from her split lip, "I didn't bring us here!  You have no reason to be mad at me!" "What are you two going on about?"  Sean got between them, "That's enough." "I just want to go home."  Sophia stormed off. Caitlin's face burned red, as she realized everyone was looking at them. "You alright?" "Why the hell is everyone against me today?"  She yelled at the Irishman, "I didn't fucking do anything.  I didn't cause this!  I didn't bring us here!  Everyone wants to tell me the ramifications of my actions, but what about how I feel?  I'm the one that has to live knowing what's going to happen!" Sean looked at the woman, pulling a handkerchief from his pocket, "Here." Caitlin snatched it from him, wiping her mouth, "Thank you." "Keep it."  He gestured. Caitlin looked away from him, "You're a good guy, Sean.  Don't let anyone give you shit for anything... ever!  Not even Arthur Morgan.  He cares more about you than you will know." He looked at her, as she turned back to her work. Karen shook her head, pushing him away, gently, "Let her be."
"What the hell is going on over here?"  Susan looked at the woman, "Where is your sister?" Cait didn't answer. "Why are you bleeding?" Cait turned away from her. Susan grabbed her wrist, "Look at me when I'm talking to you." Cait looked at her angrily, pulling her arm back. "I know that look."  Susan pointed at her, "John doesn't scare me when he does it and neither do you.  Why don't you go take a walk and cool off a bit?" "I have work to do." "Go take a walk."  She shook her head, taking the piece of clothing out of the woman's hand. Caitlin took a breath, walking off.
Caitlin looked at the ground, kicking the same rock, as she walked down the path.  She had no idea how far she'd strayed from camp when she finally looked up.  She looked around, not recognizing her surroundings, "Crap." She quickly lowered her head, as she saw two men riding toward her on horse back, turning around to walk back.
"Excuse me, ma'am."  They stopped. She looked at them briefly. "My name is Agent Andrew Milton.  I'm a member of the Pinkerton Detective Agency.  Perhaps you've heard of us?"  He said, "This is my partner, Agent Edgar Ross." Her eyes shifted between the two men, nodding slowly.   "I'm just wondering," he pulled a piece of paper out of his coat pocket, unfolding it, as he handed it to her, "have you seen this man?" Her face remained untelling.  She looked at the wanted poster, there was a poorly rendered drawing of Arthur, with his name, and a large reward sum, "I can't say that I have." "We've been looking for him for quite some time now." "Five thousand dollars is a lot of money.  What did he do?" "He's a very bad man, ma'am."  The man said. She raised her eyebrows, handing him the paper back, "I'm sorry I can't help you." "What did you say your name was again?"  The agent asked. "I didn't."  She said, growing nervous. "Care to share?" "Not particularly." "Why are you so nervous?" "A lady... by herself... approached by two men.  You'd be a little wary yourself, Agent." "I suppose."  He didn't trust her, "We're agents of the law, Ma'am.  We aren't here to hurt you." She started to walk again, "Good luck with your hunt, gentleman.  If I see this Arthur Morgan, I will be sure you tell him you're looking for him." "Ma'am, we're not done here." "I think we are." "Your acting a bit suspicious."  Agent Milton glared at her, dismounting his horse. She stood tall, putting her hand on the gun on her hip.  She was thanking her stars that John had taught her to use it, "Well, you're making me very uncomfortable.  Don't come any closer!" The man stepped closer to her, only to find himself staring down the woman's pistol. "That's a big mistake."  Agent Ross dismounted his horse, quickly. "Get away from me."  She screamed, as she was suddenly grabbed from behind and disarmed. "It's illegal to draw on a federal agent." She sighed, "Please, I just want to go home." "You should have thought about that before you pointed that gun in my face."  Agent Milton sneered.
Arthur cleared his throat, "Have you seen your sister?" "Not you too."  She rolled her eyes, walking away, "Did John send you to talk to me?" "No," he was confused, "why would he...  Did I miss something?" "We got into a stupid argument, and I may or may not have hit her.  She lost her temper, so Grimshaw sent her to walk it off." "Ah," he nodded, looking down, smirking, "the old Marston temper transcending generations." She sighed, rolling her eyes, "Whatever, Arthur.  You're not funny." "Aww, don't be like that, darlin'."  He chuckled. She sighed, "The point of me telling you that is that she went for a walk and she still isn't back." He looked at her, suddenly serious, "What do you mean she still isn't back?" "I mean, no one knows where she is." "Dutch!"  Arthur walked away from the woman. "Good talk."  Sophia shook her head, as the man rushed off.
Dutch listened to the man, "Now, just relax, son." "I am relaxed, Dutch, but that girl is out there...  She has no idea where she is.  She has no idea..." "She'll be fine, Arthur."  Dutch said, "Miss Grimshaw already told me what happened between the girls.  I'm sure she's just camped out somewhere, laying low, licking her wounds." "She's not like us, Dutch.  She doesn't understand...  She's not from here." "What is your interest in this girl?" "I don't have interest in the girl.  She's Marston's blood.  She saved my life... apparently...  She deserves for us to look out for her while she's here." Dutch grinned, "That's... all." "That's all." "So...  You didn't kiss her by the fire last night, when you both thought everyone was sleeping." "Ahhhh."  The man growled, waving him off. "Good for you, Arthur."  The man laughed, "Why don't you take John and Sean and see if you can..."
"Dutch!"  The two men rode quickly back into camp, "We've got a problem." "What is it, Charles?"  He asked, walking toward the men, with Arthur just behind him. "Caitlin's been arrested." Everyone within earshot looked toward the men. "We were passing through Valentine on the way back to camp," Lenny explained, "and we heard some folk talkin' in the saloon about some woman that got arrested this afternoon for trying to shoot a Pinkerton agent." Sophia's eyes grew wide, "What the fu..."  She looked at John, "All of the things she could have inherited from you, and it was your goddamn temper!" "Morgan!"  John rushed toward the man. Arthur nodded, putting his hat on, as they made their way to their horses, "Let's go." "Where are you going?"  Hosea looked at them. "I'm going to get my," John hesitated, not knowing what to call her, "girl...back." "Now, boys," Hosea called out, "you can't go running into town playing hero." Arthur turned to the man, "She tried to kill a Pinkerton.  She'll hang for that." "Calm down."  Dutch said, "We need a plan, and I think I have just the thing." The two men looked at him, as Sophia worried for her sister. "That sheriff's office is going to be crawling with agents.  If the two of you storm in there guns blazing, you're as good as caught yourself."  Dutch said, "We need to send someone in who will remain cool, calm, and collected, and not bring attention to themselves.  Someone who they wouldn't be suspicious of." Hosea smiled.
Caitlin sat in the cell, her eyes red and swollen from crying all night. "Here's your food."  Agent Milton slid the plate under the door. She didn't move. "Eat.  Don't eat."  The man laughed, "It don't matter none to me.  I'm not the one gonna hang in the morning." She glared at him, angry, "You'll get yours, Milton, don't you worry." The man laughed, "Ok, sweetheart."
"Gentleman," the door opened, "how are we this fine morning?" "What can I do for you, Sir?" "I'm afraid I have to report a missing person."  The man smiled, holding a bottle of liquor, "My daughter... she's gone missing." "Missing you say?"  The sheriff looked at him. "Yes.  She went for a walk yesterday afternoon and never returned.  She's about this tall."  The man held his hand in the air, "Brown hair, grey eyes...  She's ... special." "Special?" "Her mama, bless her heart, dropped her as a baby, and she's just not... right, if you know what I'm saying." The man nodded, "Pinkertons found this one wandering in The Heartlands yesterday.  She threatened one of them with a gun." "Oh!"  The man gasped, "Elizabeth!  Elizabeth, my dear girl!  What have you done?" She looked up at the man.  She gasped, standing up, going to the cell door. "Sheriff, please.  This has all been a big misunderstanding.  I'm sure the girl was terrified.  She's never been out by herself.  Please..." "She didn't seem so inept to us."  The agent spoke up. "She's got quite a temper."  Hosea smiled, looking at the woman, "It runs in the family, I suppose." Caitlin made a face at him. The men looked at the woman. Agent Milton looked at the man, "It's illegal to threaten a federal agent, Mr..." "Jones."  He nodded, "Matthew Jones." "The penalty for assaulting a federal agent is death, Mr. Jones. "I mean," Hosea handed him the bottle, "was anyone actually hurt?  Did she even fire off a shot?" Agent Milton looked at the men, then at the woman. "Please?" The man snatched the bottle from his hands, groaning, "Fine, but keep a close eye on her!  I don't want to see her again!" "Of course!"
Hosea held the girl's arm, tightly, as they walked down the road, to the waiting horses, "Just keep quiet.  Arthur and John are waiting just outside of town to get you home." "They're looking for him." "What?" "When they stopped me.  They're looking for Arthur.  He's got a five thousand dollar bounty on his head."  She said. He nodded, "Don't we all, Caitie.  Don't we all."
"There she is."  Arthur grinned, leaning on the horn of his saddle, while holding the reins of the girl's horse. "What were you thinking?"  John dismounted quickly, hugging her, "You could have been killed!" "I wasn't."  She shook her head, "I'm sorry.  I panicked." "You can't go wandering out here alone.  You have no idea where you are.  It's not like in your days.  It's not safe." She lowered her head. "Promise me you won't do that again!"  He held her shoulders. "You sound like my father."  She scolded him. "Well," he threw his hands up, "I'm your... grandfather." "Great great grandfather!"  Arthur correctly him, amused. "Shut it, Morgan."  He snapped, "What does that make you?" "Nothing."  He laughed, "She ain’t no relation to me." Caitlin shook her head, "You two..." "Did you really shoot at him?"  Arthur asked. "No."  She made a face, "I'm not that stupid.  I just drew on him." "Of course."  Arthur sat up, raising an eyebrow, "What was I thinking?" "Can we just go home?"  She asked, coldly, feeling suddenly tired. He handed her the reins to her horse. John helped her up.
"Where'd you go earlier?"  Caitlin asked. "I took little Jack fishing." John looked at the man. "Son of a bitch!"   Arthur looked at the woman, "If I'd known you liked fishin' so much I'd've asked you along.  I’ll bring you along next time." She sighed, "I don't.  I mean, I do.  I enjoy fishing, but...  That's not why I'm mad." They looked at her. "Those Pinkerton were coming for you, Arthur." He looked at her, squinting his eyes. "They were coming to offer you a deal."  She explained, "You ran into them when you were fishing with Jack.  I guess I intercepted them." "What deal?" She didn't answer. "Did I take in it your little future world?" "No."  She said. "What's the harm in tellin' us then?" "You have a five thousand dollar bounty on your head, Arthur.  He was going to offer you and everyone else in this little family freedom." "...for what?"  John asked. "Dutch."  She answered. The two men were silent for a long time. "Five thousand dollars for me?"  Arthur sound almost amused. She nodded, "Five thousand dollars is a lot of money even in my time, Mr. Morgan."  She looked at him, grinning, "I was tempted to turn you in myself." "You would never, Miss Marston."  He glared at her. "I'll split it with you?" "Deal."  He pointed to her. John looked at the two, furrowing his brow, hoping he wasn't seeing what he thought he was.

Bad Things [ 3 ]
Pairing: Tom Holland x Harrison Osterfield x Reader
Warnings: Swearing, ANGST, like one sexual reference
Summary: Y/n is so hypnotized with Tom, it’s effecting her relationship with Harrison
A/N: Ok so Tumblr is trash and it won’t let me add a title for some reason so I had to do this weird huge ass font. But anyway, thank you all so much to those giving me feedback on this story. I hope y’all know I work so hard on my writings and to know that at least one person likes them means the whole world. Anyway, this chapter was hella fun to write. Also my taglist is growing which I’m super excited about! Just message me or shoot me an ask if you’d like to be added
Chapter 1, 2
Tumblr media
Don’t forget to brush your hair, you thought to yourself as you scurried around the kitchen searching for something small and quick to eat. You were running behind because you slept in and now you had less time to get ready for work. The only good thing about waking up early at this moment was that Harrison and Tom were still sleeping. Haz didn’t have work until later and you didn’t know about Tom but you also didn’t really care. Whenever you slept at Harrison’s, you would set an alarm to wake up and go back to your apartment that was downstairs and you’d get ready for work at home but today was not working like that. So you wore the same shorts you did the day before and stole one of Harrison’s tee shirts and cinched it up, attempting to make it look cute. After grabbing a water bottle and a granola bar, you were finally in your car driving to the studio you worked at. You ran your hands through your hair in distress only to realize you completely forgot to brush it. Well, at least you weren’t going to be late.
“Y/n someone just came in, asking for you.” You whipped around to face your co-worker who tapped your shoulder. You worked as an assistant to a fashion photographer. Why would someone be looking for you? It couldn’t be Harrison because everyone in the studio knows him because of how often he stops by to bring you lunch, or pick you up. You gave your co-worker Laura, a weird look and then walked over to the front door. Standing behind the front desk was Tom. This fucking boy, you wished you could scream but you just smiled at him, “Hey?”
“I want some headshots.” His hands were stuffed in his pockets but he stood still with confidence. The confidence you’d find in a narcissist.
“Did you schedule a shoot?” He easily could’ve gone online and planned something or even called the studio but there’s no way he did. That would make your life easier so why would he?
“I figured our chat last night counted as a scheduling.” You look at him with anger and even though you want to yell at him for being so childish, you also want to give him everything he wants. His golden eyes shine onto you like sunlight and it burns, it hurts but it also feels good, warm and comfortable. But you don’t say anything, you just walk towards the back space of the room where another small studio is set up. It was a good thing you were friends with almost everyone at the studio or else you wouldn’t know how to explain yourself.
“My friend Sadie will take some pictures of you, just go over to her when she’s done with her client and tell her I sent you.” You pointed to Sadie who wore a bright yellow flowy tank top with flowers on it.
“She’s cute.” Tom said before slowly walking over to her. You just rolled your eyes knowing that Sadie wouldn’t even look twice at him since she had a boyfriend. You stood in the corner of the room, near a closet filled with props and clothes. Watching Tom walk and talk with other people was interesting. You could clearly see manipulation in his hand movements and the way he titled his head when he spoke. He was definitely attractive and that’s probably why he so easily got what he wanted all the time. He changed into a few different outfits at Sadie’s request. There was something about the way black looked on him that was enthralling. It matched his dark aura, but you liked it. Sadie took pictures of him and giving you looks after each shot, with an expression that basically said “What the fuck?” After she took the headshots she directed Tom to the changing room where he could put back on his normal clothes. As soon as he was gone Sadie was running right up to you.
“Is he your boyfriend? He’s an ass, but he’s definitely cute.” Sadie talked fast and you tried to keep up. Sad to see that Sadie could already tell he was a douche bag in the short amount of time she had to deal with him.
“No he’s not my boyfriend. He is an ass though and I’m sorry I just threw him at you. It’s a long story.”
“He said you slept at his place last night?” Of course he did. Of course he told some twisted truth just to start drama.
“No, oh my gosh, no! We both slept at Harrison’s last night. He’s calling it his place because he’s staying with Haz. Like I said, long story.” Sadie just gave you a nervous look and you told her you would tell her more later. Soon enough Tom came rolling out of the changing rooms and leaned against the wall, looking right at you.
“If you go on our website and type in this code, you can find your headshots there.” You handed him a piece of paper with the code on it. He smiled, taking the paper and shoving it in his pocket. It felt a little like Tom didn’t actually want pictures of himself and he just wanted to see you. You didn’t want to think like that, but that’s how it felt.
“What time do you get off?” You could feel his eyes on you and you wanted to look back, with your head high and shoulders back but you couldn’t so you just looked at his forehead, the space between his eyebrows. It was a stupid trick but it worked whenever you didn’t want to look someone in the eye. For you, it was risky business making eye contact, especially with someone like Tom.
“I have a lunch break in five minutes actually and then I’ll be home around 3.” You looked at the clock on the wall behind Tom, 11:55.
“Lunch break. Let me get you lunch. Since you got me pictures.” Tom was leaning closer and closer towards you, his smile widening. You leaned further away even though you didn’t mind being close to him. His energy was somehow soft, but in a dangerous way. Danger. Tom wasn’t anything dangerous, just a fuckboy with a rude attitude. You had to stop thinking so badly of him. There’s no reason for you to be afraid, right? The walls around you and him were getting smaller and it was like you were in this tiny space with only Tom. You moved backward, your shoulder hitting the wall behind you before calmly saying, “You don’t have to.” He touched your shoulder, moving it away from the wall. His grip on your shoulder was strong but his hands were soft on your bare skin. It was...nice. His touch was cooling, as if it relaxed all the tense muscles in your arm.
“It’s okay love, I want to.” And you couldn’t say no to his honey dripping voice, so the only word left was yes.
“You can leave the building for your break right?” Yes.
“Do you like coffee?” Yes.
Tom’s car was surprisingly clean, it even smelled nice. He drove pretty fast and you clung onto the leather seat below you, trying to look collected. So you opened your window and relaxed, letting the wind toss around your hair. The conversation in the car was small and short. He asked you about how long you worked at the studio and how long you knew Harrison. It wasn’t until the ride was over that you noticed he was only asking you questions and you didn’t get to learn anything about him. You hoped that would change though as you entered the small coffee shop.
“So, what’s your story?” It may have been blunt but you wanted to know so you figured you would just ask instead of trying to dance around certain topics in conversation.
“Don’t really have one. Just your average guy, living life the best he can.” He sat right across from you, his arms crossed. He was lying.
“Everyone has a story. Why’d you get kicked out of your apartment?” You said, pretending that you didn’t hear what he said to Harrison last night about how people didn’t like his lifestyle. Well what the hell lifestyle was that?
“Wouldn’t you like to know. Don’t worry, it was nothing illegal.” You just frowned wishing he’d tell you more.
“How was sleeping with Haz last night? You guys have any fun?” Tom grinned, propping his elbows up on the table.
“Wouldn’t you like to know.” You mocked him, laughing. The rest of the time spent at the coffee shop was actually good. He payed for everything like he said he would, he even opened the car door for you. It wasn’t until you finally made it back to the studio that you pulled out your phone to see 6 texts and 3 missed calls from Harrison. You read the first one you saw.
You still wanting pizza for lunch? Cuz I was thinking about sandwiches tbh. I’ll be at the studio around 12.
Shit. Harrison was going to pick you up for lunch today. How could you forget about the plans you two had made yesterday? You both wanted to go check out that new pizza place down the road from the studio. Although Harrison apparently wanted a sandwich now. The events that happened last night seemed to throw you way off. You honestly couldn’t even remember what happened yesterday, you only remembered last night when your high school dreams of kissing Harrison were about to come true, only for Tom to ruin them. But how could you be so forgetful and irresponsible?
“Everything okay?” Tom’s voice took you out of your thoughts as he opened the door for you. You walked into the building of the studio.
“I was supposed to get lunch with Haz. Ugh, he’s gunna be wondering where I am.”
“You don’t have to tell him where you are or what you do. He doesn’t control you.” Tom started slowly walking away and you just looked at him with your jaw dropped. It wasn’t like that with Harrison at all. Why would Tom say that? You went to say something but your phone screen lit up with another text. You looked down to see Harrison’s name on the screen.
Wow. Thanks for telling me. Hope you had fun with Tom.
How did he know you were with Tom? You looked up from your phone to ask Tom if he told Harrison, but he wasn’t in sight.

What it is like to be a level 6 security threat at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport
Tumblr media
Ben Gurion has one of the most intense airport securities in the world.
Forget the American TSA, or Cuba exit check—this is the most insane security checks in the world.
Now, I only found this out after going through it, and googling “What the fuck is up with Ben Gurion Airport’s security?” (I read one or two stories that were milder or on par than mine, and one or two that were much more intense.)
Turns out that it actually a pretty well-known thing.
Luckily, just by chance, I arrived at the airport 3 hours before my flight, and thank god— because the majority of that was going to be spent waiting, and being searched, waiting, and being questioned, and waiting to get through to my departure gate. (Plus a touch of feeling humiliated for good measure.)
I arrived in the Arrivals Hall, and after a topsy-turvy wander about, I found the Departure Hall.
I printed out my ticket and made my way to the carry-on security check.
There were three lines, I saw the one was moving at a decent pace. So I stood for a good 30 minutes only to get to the front, where the security agent asked me where my sticker was.
I told her I had no idea what she was talking about.
She told me I had to go back to the front of the Departures Hall and pass the first stage of security.
A little pissed at the confusing nature of this, I stalked out of the line, and searched for the “First Security Checkpoint”.
Finally, I found it (turns out there was a sign for “Security check for carryon-only passengers” that I had missed.)
Security check for carryon-only passengers: Round One
There was no one in the line, so I automatically stood at the front of the line
“Excuse ma’am, that is not the entrance.”
“Sorry?”
“You have to go back and around to the entrance.”
“I don’t understand what you are trying to tell me.”
“You have to pass through that woman first,”
He said this pointing to a woman 10-12 meters away.
I rolled my eyes and walked to her.
She glanced at my passport and ticket and waved me through.
Security check for carryon-only passengers: Round Two
I went and stood back to where I had been standing a minute ago, and he waved me forward.  Three other people would make the same mistake of just rocking up to the front: he was just as short with all of them sending them to see the other lady first.
He asked me some of the standard fodder airport security questions like “Why are you travelling?” “How long did you stay?” “What do you do for work?” But then some stranger questions were mixed in.
“Do you speak Hebrew?”
“No.”
“None? Not even a few words?”
“No.”
“Not even a bit in school?”
Wtf.
“No.”
“Tell me what you were doing in Lebanon. Where did you go and who did you meet?”
I answered carefully and honestly.
“So, you were Couchsurfing. What were the first and last names of all your hosts?” “Did you meet their families?” “Friends?” “What do they do for work?” “He was in logistics? What kinds of things was he shipping?” “Did you have correspondence with them before you arrived in Beirut? “ “For how many weeks?” “Have you kept in contact with them while you were here?” “When was the last message you sent them?” “What was that message about?”
“Please tell me the first and last names of everyone you stayed with here in Israel.” “How long did you stay with each person?” “Where did they live?” “Did they give you any gifts?” “Are you still talking to them?” “Do you have a copy of the correspondence you had with them?”
He asked me if anyone had given me anything, or if I thought anyone might have put something in my bag, multiple times. I told him he was free to check—and he chuckled and said “That will happen later.” I immediately was filled with contempt for him.
Security check for carryon-only passengers: Round Three
He called his supervisor over, and they chatted for 3-4 minutes. He started to walk toward me, then turned around and walked back to her. Another 2-3 minute chat before he handed her my passport. She was a pleasant young woman who told me to stand in front of her on the other side of the desk. She asked me many of the same questions over again, repeating the question about whether I had been given anything twice.
Finally, she slapped a sticker on my passport. And I was told I could go. I waiting in the security line again for an additional 20 minutes.
Later, I would find out that the sticker was an assessment of my risk factor.
1 and 2 are reserved for Israeli passport holders, 3 and 4 are seen as a mild risk, 5 is a high risk, and 6 is an extremely high risk.
When internationals fly alone out of Israel, they get a “6” or a “5”. This number is a sticker you get on your passport and bags that helps the Israeli airport security evaluate your level of Zionism. “1” is awesome, “6” is you’re fucked. 1 is reserved for white Jewish Israelis, 2 is for white Jewish non-Israelis and friendly internationals, 3 is a suspicious Israeli or international, 4 is sometimes given to non-white Israelis, 5 is for Arab Israelis or questionable internationals, and 6 is for Palestinians, Muslims, and hostile internationals. Hostile is defined as not Zionist or suspected of questioning Zionism. Anything above a 3 means interrogation. Of course these are my definitions based on the people I’ve talked to who’ve gotten one of the six. I don’t know what the official language they use says. -Lia Tarachansky (read her full article here.)
Guess who got the sticker with the 6?
Funny thing is that I didn’t feel hostile towards Israel in the slightest until this episode.
Tumblr media
You wait. And wait. And wait.
When I finally got to the front of the carry on luggage and metal detector line, the security woman said: “You are in the wrong place. You need to go through the special security.” “What? Are you joking? I have literally been waiting for hour already to get through.” “Yes. Ok. Follow that woman there.” I followed her, and she took me to the packed line of about 40 people. “Are you kidding?” I have already been waiting an hour,” I huffed. But she didn’t reply, merely shooting a glance in my direction.
She led me to another two women, where I waited to have my name written on a clipboard. I asked what was going on, and she told me not to stress out, that someone would come for me soon. No one did.
Streams of people went passed me in the line, and I had no idea what was going on.
And then you wait some more
“Come on. I have been waiting here for ages, can someone please explain what is going on?,” I complained
“Yes, there are still 12 people ahead of you, but I will come to get you when it is time. That’s why you are standing here.”
After a good 20 minutes, she told me to cut the line. The man who I was instructed to stand in front of got pissed, and tried to worm his way ahead of me. “Excuse me, sir. I was told to stand here.” I actually began to start feeling sick.
Finally, I got up to the front. Two security agents glanced at my passport, but no one talked to me. Finally, not seeing another option I just stuck my things into the X-ray scanner. A young security agent came up to me “Who are you with?”  “I don’t understand.” “Which agent are you with?” “What do you mean?” “You have to wait until one of the agents comes for you and your things.” He took my things out of the machine and put them back in front of me.  I stood there for 10 minutes, while people streamed past me.
I actually felt myself start to tremble with rage. This was absolutely ridiculous. I stopped one of the security agents and begged her to just explain to me what was going on.
She brushed me off and told me I had to wait.
Another 5 minutes, and 4 other people went ahead of me.

The Bag Check
Finally, a sour young women came up and without a greeting demanded I pack my things and follow her. We walked to another side of the security area. “Sit down over there.” She commanded.
She proceeded to empty every single thing out of my bag.
Every single thing out of my cosmetics bag. Every receipt. Flipped through all the pages of my books. Sent my laptop and iPhone away with another security agent. When she came across a pack of cigarettes, she demanded to know where my lighter was. “Probably in a pocket” I snapped back.
“I don’t see it.”
I was enraged, all my personal belonging, clothes, condoms, mascara, panties, books, and papers were spread out in front of her, and as if this wasn’t enough, she was now demanding a lighter.
“Check my jacket”
She pulled out all my bank and credit cards from my pockets, headphones, and opened up my lipgloss to check inside.
Finally, she found it, and without a word, tossed it in the garbage.
Explosives Trace Detection (ETD) tests: Swabbing for drugs or bombs or who the fuck knows.
Then she started swabbing everything.
Not a customary swipe—no, she swabbed every single piece of clothing, every pocket, every charger, my curling iron, my nightie. Checking each swab on her detector.
It took ages, and I felt a deep hate for her growing watching her finger and handle all my little things.
“Follow me,” She said, “we need to do a body scan.”
Another security agent came up, and they talked.
Finally, she told me to take off my shoes. I guess just having my shoes taken was pretty lucky, in light of what I read online afterwards.
In addition to being forced to undress for body searches, Arab passengers are often detained in secure rooms in the departure area at Ben Gudrion Airport before their flights and escorted on to planes by security staff in full view of other passengers. They may also have their hand luggage confiscated. -Jonathan Cook, “Israel's strip searches at airports 'illegal', Aljazeera
The body scan and multiple pat downs
“Sit there and wait” she snapped—I was seriously losing my cool with this horrendous procedure and this woman in particular.
I waited another 10 minutes, barefoot, on the grungy security room floor. Feeling downright disgusted.
“We need to scan you” she took me to a body scanner, where I was told to stand, “Open your legs wider.” she demanded, and I retorted “What the fuck. They are wider than the footprint-guides already.” I snapped.
“Fine. Then lift up your arms and don’t put them down until I tell you to.” I stood there like a criminal getting a mug shot.
When I came out she patted down my arms and legs.
Then we waited. She talked to someone on her radio, then told me I had to remove my necklace.
I wanted to scream, but with dead eyes stared ahead as I carefully removed it.
I went back into the machine and they scanned me a second time.
When I came out, the colleague was back with my shoes, this time, she patted me down, spending extra time under my arms, on my back, and sleeves.
I went to grab my shoes, and the sour security agent said “Don’t touch those. Go back and sit down.”
I lost it with her tone, and said “You are acting in a disgusting way. I am just a traveller and don’t deserve to be treated like this.”
She rolled her eyes at me and repeated that I needed to stay seated.
About 10 minutes later, the man came back with my laptop and mobile phone. They had an extensive conversation and she giggled. Oh. Hell. No.
I was not going to sit there and watch this bullshit while they just made me wait.  I stood up and with contained rage “That’s enough. Are you done?”
And she repeated that I was to sit down and wait.
Losing all hope, I sat back down.
Finally, she said, “You can take your shoes.”
I snatched them and pulled them on. I don’t even know how long I was sitting there because I didn’t have a mobile.
Finally, she had another quick word on her radio, and started to walk away.
Over her shoulder, she said “We are done here. You can leave.” As I started to repack my bag, I thought “No we aren’t, you f*** b***.”
I asked to speak to the supervisor, and when she came she asked me specifically why I was upset, and what the security agent had done that was inappropriate.
I explained about her tone, but more importantly that I felt I was being treated as a criminal which was unfounded and disgusting.
All I had wanted to do was visit their nice country, and this had been such an awful experience that I wasn’t sure I would ever want to come back.
She gave me an email address and asked me to share my experience.
I thanked her, but felt tears burning in the back of my eyes.
I felt so violated, so disrespected. I had done absolutely nothing wrong, and yet was being treated as if I was one second away from blowing up their whole damn airport.
I grabbed my bag and left for my gate, promising myself I would never fly through Tel Aviv again.

Even hours after getting off the plane at my next destination, I still felt disgusted. Actually—I still do. It really changed my view of the Israeil state.
My story here is not unique, many seasoned travellers have had similar accounts. I think it is important to share and read these, so that if you ever go to Israel, you know the risks. Read some of their stories and other articles here:

The Town That Time Forgot-Chapter 1
Ok so this is an Modern!Outsiders story that I have been thinking about writing for a while now. And because I want to make my life even harder lol. I think I’m also going to be tossing in the 100 writing prompt challenge by Sunshockk on Deviantart into the mix. Now whether or not I can actually write 100 chapters of this is a different story, but I figured it would be cool to see what chapters I could make with just 1 word as inspiration.
I actually chose not only the word but also who Ellie meets first with a random picker, so the fact that this has Sodapop in it doesn’t necessarily mean she will end up with him...We will see how the story progresses to see who she chooses ;) . Also if you would like to see what Ellie looks like, I drew a picture of her here .
All of the lovely boys are in this story as well, so do not fret. And because Ellie is 25, I have upped their ages a bit.
Ponyboy 19 Johnny 21 Sodapop 21 going on 22 Dallas 22 Steve 22 Two-Bit 23 Darry 25
This all being said, Let’s get to the story!!!

"The town that time forgot"
That was where I was headed, the real name for it was Rocksville funny enough. It was a once abandoned town out in Oklahoma, but since has grown to a population close to seven thousand. Though the revival of the once ghost town was not what made it remarkable, or gave it it's name-No, it was due to the fact that the whole town was still modeled as if it had never moved past 1965. The buildings were built in that style, the food was still grown locally so that it could be sold for less. Heck, even the people never moved past the era, everyone still dressed in the fashion, drove the cars, even the houses were decorated with fifties through sixties decor. It was a Rockabilly dream, and my soon to be home.
When I had found the Rockabilly community I fell in love, having always been drawn to the era, I always wished that I could have been born then, instead of the nineties. When I changed my entire lifestyle, my mother suggested that I go live with my grandmother for a bit, and if I liked it, get a house of my own in the community. Grandma had always been part of my life since I was little, and had told me stories about her younger days, mom said that she influenced me, but grandma just says that sometimes the soul doesn't move past the times they loved the most.
So here I was, driving down the highway in my nineteen fifty-seven Chevy Bel Air, getting strange looks from people my own age, but thumbs up from my elders. Excited didn't even begin to explain how I was feeling, it was like a sense of longing was finally being fulfilled, like where I was supposed to be was finally within reach-And as I pulled off to the side road that led to the town I realized, it really was. I knew that the community was very closed off, but I didn't realize how much until I pulled up to the gate, it was like this whole town was in its own little bubble.
"Hello there sweety, what can I do for you?" The elderly man asked, walking out of his small room and up to my car.
"I'm here to see my grandmother, Donna Smith" I replied, smiling at the gentleman.
"Well I'll be, are you little Ellie? Donna talks about you a lot, glad to have ya finally stop by, My name is William" He smiled back.
"Very nice to meet you William" I replied before he nodded.
"Right then" he spoke before turning around and making his way to the gate. He grabbed the keys from his belt and unlocked the giant padlock, before pushing the gates open.
"Wow this place really is old fashioned" I stated to myself, watching as he waved me over.
"Enjoy your stay dear, and welcome to Rocksville" He told me before I kept driving, seeing him close the gates behind me and return to his room. The town was a bit empty on the way in, nothing but a few farmlands, but as soon as you hit downtown, you knew it. I felt like I was about to cry as I drove through the streets, people crossing, old cars lining the sides. Old soda shops, diners, and movie theaters, along with so many mom and pop shops. It was only after the second red light that I realized-I had no idea where grandma's street was in this town.
"I guess I should ask someone if they can give me directions" I stated, pulling off into a parking space on the side of the street. Cutting my car off, I gathered my purse and stepped out onto the street, quickly making my way to the sidewalk, making sure to give a thank you wave to the people who had stopped to let me get out and around my car. People were a heck of a lot nicer here than in the cities I've been to, that's for sure. I looked around for the best place to ask, there was a small clothing store in front of me, a small food store beside that. The mechanic at the end corner looked promising, if anyone knows almost everyone in town, it's a mechanic.
Mulling over my options, I was pulled from my thoughts by the sound of whistles and cat calls.
"Hey there pretty lady, haven't seen you here before"
"We would have remembered this one boys"
"Want us to show ya around? You'll have a good time"
Looking behind me I saw a group of what I could only describe as Socs making their way towards me. Looking forward again I rolled my eyes.
"No I'm fine thank you" I stated, trying to be polite, even if they didn't deserve it.
"Awe come on baby, it will be fun" what I could only guess was the leader, said as he grabbed my arm and spun me around. Ok, I take back what I said about people being a heck of a lot nicer here.
"I said no!" I told him, taking my arm from his grasp.
"Well looky here boys, the kitten has claws"
"They're more fun when they fight back"
"Makes winning them even better"
"Listen, I'm giving you five seconds to leave me alone," I told him, I may not look it, but if growing up with four older brothers taught me anything, it was how to protect myself.
"Or what?" The leader asked with a smirk.
"Or your ass is going to be on the ground"
"what did you say bitch?" he snarled
"One"
"You think you're tough shit huh new girl?"
"two"
"Ok I've had enough of your shit"
"Hey! Why don't you three piss off and leave the lady alone" A voice spoke up from behind us. I turned to see a guy who one could successfully describe just by saying "movie-star handsome". Short brown hair, bright blue eyes, and a jaw-line that should probably be illegal. He wore a blue mechanic outfit, with the top tied around his waist, showing off his white undershirt.
'Dang grandma these are where the good-looking guys have been hiding?!'
"Stay out of this Curtis, this doesn't involve you" The leader of the Soc gang spoke.
'Curtis? First or last name?' I wondered.
"Maybe not, but I'm not gonna stand by while three creeps harass her" He spoke, stepping in front of me.
'oh ok then, didn't know I looked that dainty but I appreciate the action'
"what did you say?" The leader asked, getting in the guy's face.
"Do you really want to do this again? Remember what happened last time" The man coolly spoke. The Socs just scoffed, the two in the back muttering their displeasure.
"You can keep the little broad, but this isn't over Curtis" The leader said before he and his goons left. The man sighed before turning around to face me. Seeing him up this close I could get a better look at him. He seemed older, not as old as me, but perhaps in his early twenties. Though his face said that he hadn't had the easiest life, there was a maturity to him that was beyond his age.
"You ok?" He asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Oh yeah, thank you, I really appreciate it" I smiled.
"No problem, though I would have liked to see you put him on his ass" he smirked, causing me to laugh.
"I would have too if you hadn't stepped in. But thanks to you, I didn't have to get my dress dirty" I smirked, this time it was his turn to laugh.
"You're new here, never seen you around" He stated.
"Do new people really not come here all that often?" I asked, this was the third person who said I was new.
"Well no-But the pink in your hair kinda makes you stand out" he smiled, motioning towards my pink streak.
"Oh...Yeah, I suppose it would" I chuckled.
"Were you needing help with anything?" he asked.
'Ok I stand by my first thought, people are a heck of a lot nicer here'
"Oh yeah, actually I do need some help. I'm here to stay with my grandmother for a bit, and I'm not exactly sure how to get to maple street" I told him.
"Oh that's simple, just head down this road and turn right on the last crossroad, onto Bel Lane. Keep going on that road till you come to a curve and it's the first road on your left right after the curve." He told me, gesturing the different directions.
"Keep going, make a right on Bel Lane, keep going, first right past the curve" I repeated.
"Got it" he smiled.
"Thank you so much, and for helping me out with those guys. I'm Elizabeth by the way, but everyone calls me Ellie" I smiled, holding out my hand.
"Sodapop, nice to meet you Ellie, hope to see you around" he smiled back.
"You too" I nodded, turning to head back to my car.
"Enjoy Rocksville" he called out.
"I already am" I laughed. I climbed in my car and looked over, Sodapop must have already gone back to the mechanic shop.
'Well this town keeps getting more and more interesting' I smiled to myself, pulling out onto the road and heading to grandma's house. With Soda's directions it didn't take me long to find the road, and soon I was pulling up into grandma's driveway. Being greeting by her small Yorkie, Pattie, as soon as I climbed out of the car.
"Hey girl, long time no see" I smiled, squatting down and picking the excited dog up.
"Is that my granddaughter I see!" I heard my grandmother's voice call from the front porch.
"Tis I!" I called back, rounding the cars and smiling. Grandma hugged me as soon as I stepped onto the porch, being careful of Pattie.
"Did you have trouble finding the place?" she asked as we walked inside.
"A bit, but a mechanic in town helped me after he helped me with a Soc problem," I stated, putting Pattie down.
"Oh dear, I hope they didn't both you too much, you have to be careful with some guys in town, they need a good smack upside the head" she stated, sitting down in her chair.
"Yeah" I laughed
"But Sodapop Curtis helped me out," I told her.
"Oh, he is such a nice young man isn't he...Single too" she stated with a smile, wiggling her eyebrows.
"Grandma! I just got here!" I blushed.
"I'm just saying" she shrugged, leaning down to pick Pattie up, and sitting her on her lap.
"I have a feeling living here is going to be very interesting" I laughed.
"You have no idea sweety" she patted my hand with a wink.
