Oblivion has the weirdest aesthetic choices going on. Everything is super bright and saturated, the characters look silly and almost bordering on cartoonish, and the voice acting and delivery tends to be pretty silly. The whole things has such a strong classic fantasy vibe compared to the other tes games, but also there's a bunch of realistic gore and rotting corpses and really dark questlines with gross visuals (for the quality of those visuals). it's such a weird game.

Anyway I will never stop obsessing about the way Eddie touches Buck. How the span of his hand on Buck’s ribs just lingers there for so long during Buck’s welcome back party in s3. The little scolding taps he affectionately gives Buck’s shoulders with the back of his hand. How sometimes he’ll brush his fingers over Buck’s back when he passes behind him. The way he bumps their shoulders together when they walk side by side.

It’s actually insane. I have intimate friendships with people I will fully cuddle with and hug from behind and kiss on the forehead but I don’t fucking pretend I don’t notice pressing my thumb against the line where their shirt gives way to the warm skin of their collarbone and just LEAVING IT THERE like if I don’t acknowledge it it’s somehow platonic. I like it when ppl write Ichigo kissing/touching Grimmjow’s mask, bc that’s such an undeniably Hollow part of him, it’s sharp and dangerous, even scary to some, but Ichigo still loves and cherishes it, for him it’s comforting to touch the jawbone, trace the teeth, bc it means Grimmjow is there, right under his fingertips.

and it’d be comforting for Grimmjow too, bc if he ever doubts that Ichigo really wants this, if any thought of Ichigo closing his eyes and pretending that he’s just another shinigami/human and not a soul-devouring monster creeps into his mind, it is all destroyed with gentle hands, light fingertips and soft lips, bc Ichigo loves Grimmjow, all of him, for who he is, not despite.
