— Evie is the youngest of three children, with one older brother named Wilbur (a film producer) and one older sister named Elysia (an interior designer) born to Claude and Anita Hawkins (both deceased, but a former accountant and seamstress respectively)

— The family weren’t particularly well-off, but lived comfortably enough. For Evie’s seventh birthday, her parents bought her an art set and she was instantly hooked on creating something out of nothing. She would always paint pictures of flowers from the back garden and of the family dog, a golden retriever named Rex.

— She was a decent student, earning good grades especially in art and English, but was never as good as her siblings. It didn’t bother her, though, as she knew grades weren’t everything. All Evie knew is that she wanted to do something related to art as that was her true passion.

— Evie attended Rhode Island School of Design between the ages of 18-21 and studied metalsmithing. Her parents supported her even though they thought her choice of course was unusual and may not lead her to a decent career. Between studying and completing her projects, Evie spent time teaching herself old painting techniques and would buy ingredients to make her own paint that replicated the ones used in the past. It was doing this innocent little activity that she realised, if she got good enough, she could make forgeries of old paintings to sell to unsuspecting people. It never really occurred to Evie that this was a bad thing (after all, art is art) and if people were willing to pay for something that was exactly like the original in almost every way then that was on them and they needn't know the truth.

— When she returned from university, Evie moved back in with her parents for 18 months before making enough money from a part-time job in a bar and selling her handmade jewellery to eventually rent her own place in Brooklyn with her former roommate.

— Seven months after moving to Brooklyn, Evie was almost caught selling fake diamond jewellery to a millionaire and during her time of laying low she became aware of The Syndicate and realised her skills could be of use to them (and knowing she could earn plenty was an incentive too).

— Evie met David Hailwood through mutual friends at a New Years Eve party when she was 24 and he was 28. He was a banker on Wall Street and came from a wealthy family in Philadelphia. Knowing he was financially stable was certainly an incentive to be with him, but Evie fell for his charm and good humour. They flirted throughout the night and saw each other for dates almost every week for two months after that. In a whirlwind romance, David proposed on Valentine’s Day and by the Christmas of that year they were married and living together in Chelsea; they took their honeymoon to St Lucia late in the following summer.

— David worked rigid and long hours in the city, which meant Evie could spend her days focusing on her paintings and jewellery without being interrupted and without David asking too many questions.

— Evie and David’s marriage didn’t last long. There were many contributing factors to its ruin, but mainly because Evie would spend almost all of her time on her work and would hardly spend any of it with David. It was always ‘just another hour’ or ‘we’ll do something next weekend’. She fell in love with crime and out of love with David.

— After splitting up with David, approximately five years after getting married, she stayed with Wilbur and his family until she found a new place. During that time, working on her art was more difficult with the lack of peace and space, so she focused on jewellery making. She bonded with her niece and nephew, but found it difficult to keep them away from knowing about her criminality.

— At the age of 32, Evie moved into an apartment in Manhattan that had plenty of space for her art materials and for storage. It was the perfect place to work on her forgeries and discreet enough for any member of The Syndicate to drop by when needs be. The apartment even has its own bar tucked in the corner of the kitchen.

— As of today, Evie mainly makes forgeries for The Syndicate, but also continues to sell her fake paintings to members of the public and art dealers as well as jewellery to arrogant, materialistic, selfish social elites. She remains loyal and dedicated to The Syndicate and one of their most trusted forgers.

✧･ﾟ— POSSIBLE WANTED CONNECTIONS

— THROUGH THICK AND THIN: Evie stayed in contact with her roommate/housemate and the two have been there for each other for years. Unfortunately, this friend believes Evie is a purely legitimate business woman and has yet to find out about her forgeries. But will that soon change?

— MAKING AMENDS: Whether retired or still in the rat race, whether he has a family or not, David (if you want to take the connection, you'd be more than welcome to change his name!) unexpectedly comes back into Evie's life. After all these years he wants to delve deeper into what happened for their marriage to fall apart. Somehow there are still questions unanswered and without a doubt David won't take the truth well. Yet he still loves her. But can he shake the truth and accept it or will it be too much to bare?

I was trying to avoid this, but tauvane drinks dragon blood (courtesy of her brother-in-law zeumont) and fights the dragonsong war on the side of the dragons, thus making her public enemy #1. she has scales that she doesn't show to anyone and goes through a mild transformation that gives her superhuman speed and draconic features

evander is trying to create the philosopher's stone to cure a fatal illness related to his unstable aether, and he'll stop at nothing to obtain forbidden knowledge through rather unethical means. he owns and operates a tiny chemist guild in ul'dah and they always struggle to secure funds and resources as they're in direct competition with the alchemist's guild. he has a team of mammets that monitor his health and a rag-tag group of fledging chemist guildmates who strive to make life-saving medicine more accessible and affordable to the smallfolk in and around eorzea

achille may or may not have abilities related to tauvane's dragon blood addiction. he doesn't crave blood, but it sends him into a spiral thinking that he can turn out like her despite his efforts to save his mother. and instead of limsa lominsa since I'm moving away from the sea pirate angle, achille was born in coerthas in an abandoned cabin and wasn't allowed to go outside for the first 8 years of his life until he met chiron. he was almost executed by the halonic inquisition as a child after they found tauvane's hiding place, as they believed he was a draconic spawn that must be put down

patroclus has trauma-based amnesia that's related to the night his parents died. he was an unlikely witness to what would later be known as a murder mystery, but he can't remember much of it. instead of being killed, the perpetrator left him in the desert in hopes he would perish from exposure as he was still a child when it happened. after almost a week he was miraculously found wandering alone by a traveling merchant; he was weak from hunger, barefoot, and mute from shock. patroclus didn't speak for almost two years after the event. priam only took him in to keep patroclus from revealing the truth of his parents' murder

hector and halmarut have a more personal relationship with one another than anyone had ever realized. think of gaia and mitron but it's not romantic, it's more akin to beyond: two souls, amnesia: the dark descent, and outlast with psychological horror elements mixed in. hector is plagued with horrific visions and moments of dissociation because of halmarut's influence, though he didn't know it then. he only associated this with what he called 'the shadow', a terrifying but strangely protective entity

kirke was a scientist for the garlean military, the body she inhabits was once a conscript soldier from a far away province, she effectively killed off the host to take over the corpse like a parasite. she rose through the ranks quickly once the higher-ups realized that she's a living relic of allag. kirke doesn't care much for garlemald's conquest of the world as long as it doesn't interfere with her work of mixing science with necromancy. she held the rank of 'mal' (praefectus medicorum) and was the head medic of an imperial legion before the fall of garlemald

andromache may or may not be involved with a shadowy organization (NOT the ascians) with the goal of destroying hydaelyn the mothercrystal. this organization saved her life after the 7UC and helped her get back on her feet despite her amnesia. they want to go back to a time when man once had the power to become a living primal without the need to temper others, they share a common goal with the scions in stopping the ascians from completing another rejoining

yves can transform into a giant voidsent canine with multiple heads (aka shadowkeeper). despite his moniker 'the accursed one', the mages of mhach worshipped him and his mother cessair as their savior and destroyer of amdapor. think silent hill with the order and alessa/alessa becoming god. yves' sire is still being figured out he may or may not be related to golbez just based on yves being extremely powerful

paris and their voidsent have a relationship much like light and ryuk from death note. they bicker, they argue, they fight, they joke, but they have a contract with one another: the more paris borrows its power, the higher the voidsent sets the price for paris' aether afterward. in the event that paris is no longer able to control the power, the voidsent is allowed to eat them whole, thus the contract would be fulfilled. it makes the climax of endwalker incredibly dicey because of paris and zenos' deathmatch against one another, paris quite literally almost died out there if it weren't for meteion's timely intervention

azem (helen) is much more of an outsider and firebrand than originally conceived. they never conformed to any of the rules and fought back against society's conservatism and politics, which earned them a lot of enemies and very few friends. their parents, highly esteemed scientists, strived for them to earn a respectable seat in the convocation since the seat of azem in my vision is less respected and more mocked for its reputation of attracting odd seat holders like venat. instead, helen became the new azem, which infuriated their family enough to cut off all contact with them. helen is related to lahabrea, and they despise each other. helen enjoyed hanging out with erich however

Tim/Kon Sick Fic snippet that I started when I was sick and haven’t finished.

like 750 words ish

“I’m not sick,” Tim argues, punctuating his argument with an aggressive sneeze followed by harsh hacking.

“Are you holding a loogie in your mouth right now?” Kon crosses his arms and tilts his head in an attempt to mirror the infamous, and seriously effective, Dick Grayson Mom Stance (trademark pending).

In a disgusting display of defiance, Tim swallows. “No.”

There’s a glob neon yellow snot dripping from Tim’s left nostril that he drags his crusty sweatshirt sleeve across before snorting up another drip of snot coming from the right side this time.

“You are…” Kon sighs, exasperated, “so gross.”

The furrowed brows and grumpy pout paired with Tim’s pink nose and puffy eyes could almost be considered cute if Kon hadn’t just witnessed him swallow a loogie.

“How the hell did I fall in love with you?”

Kon knows exactly how it happened. He could write a library’s worth of books about all the things he loves about Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne. That doesn’t change the fact that Tim absolutely refuses to admit that he’s sick and is being very gross about proving his health.

“Because I’m so totally handsome and I can do cool skateboard tricks.” His voice is scratchy and nasally and Kon can tell he’s trying very hard not to sniffle or cough. “And I’m super rich.” Tim bats his thick black eyelashes and flashes a big bright toothy smile in Kon’s direction. It’s usually quite charming but the new bead of snot dripping towards Tim’s upper lip causes his charisma to take a hit. “Gimme a smooch.”

Tim sniffles harshly, sucking the snot glob back into his nose. He leans in, lips puckered up and chapped from extended forced mouth breathing, eyes squeezed shut. Kon makes use of his tactile telekinesis to stop him from falling when he continues to lean forward.

“You’re cute,” Kon admits, pushing Tim back with TTK to balance on his own feet, “You’re also sick.”

“‘m not,” Tim pouts again, opening his eyes and glaring at Kon.

Yes he is. Tim is very sick. His nose is running a marathon and Kon could hear the congestion from a mile away without using his super hearing. He’s running a 102 degree fahrenheit fever and shivering like a speedster on a sugar high. His eyes are red and puffy and his eye bags have eye bags. He’s sneezing and coughing and if the way he frequently grimaces and groans is any indication he’s nauseous too.

It’s wild to Kon, how easily Tim tends to ignore his own health and well-being. He’s going to work himself to an early grave and take Kon with him. It’s frankly astonishing how long Tim’s made it and Kon is half convinced that Death is simply scared of Tim. It wouldn’t be surprising. Tim is absolutely horrifying when he wants to be. And also sometimes when he doesn’t mean to be.

“Just lay down in bed, Robbie. You’ll get better sooner if you rest.”

“Don’t need rest, ‘m not sick.” Tim makes a noise like he might throw up if either of them make a wrong move. He clears his throat when the feeling seemingly passes. “Gotta finish this report for WE and then file some evi- evid- evid ACHOO!” Tim sneezes and a snot rocket launches toward Kon in a majestic arch of green and yellow nasal mucus. Kon, luckily, manages to move out of the way and not be hit by the bio weapon.

“Did you just say “achoo” as you sneezed?”

“I didn’t sneeze,” Tim says, like a lying liar who lies.

Kon looks from Tim to the small puddle of snot on the floor. “What’s that then?”

Tim scoffs a couple of times, searching for a reasonable answer. His brain isn’t working at full capacity, which is reasonable considering he’s very sick, despite his resolute denial. “Science project.”

Tim lives and breathes gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss, Kon will give him that, but Kon has mastered manipulate, mansplain, malewife. Especially that malewife bit. If Tim ever wanted to put a ring on it Kon would make a wonderful trophy wife.

“Yeah? What’s the hypothesis?” That’s right, Kon knows science words, Kon was a science project. They implanted all kinds of information in his head. He may be a certified Ken but he’s not stupid. Tim, of course, is a Barbie, but that was never really a question.

“It’s about projectile paths and stuff.”

Kon cannot believe how endearing Tim is when he’s being this gross.

As a child, she was a ray of happiness, learning to play instruments with her flutist mother, and spent a lot of time in the forests and mountains near where she lived, camping with her father. That day, she was preparing for the first try to reach the summit of Mount Bukhsansan with her parents. Waking up early in the morning, checking her child's backpack, she was excited like never before. Until bangs and slashes rang out on the first floor. Scream, blood, police sirens. She doesn't remember much from that day, but from that moment on, everything changed.

The family friends who took care of her were lovely. They acted as if she were their niece, and she truly adored them, but the whispers full of pity and the memories mixed with nightmares made her head brain go wild. Her vigor turned into outbursts interspersed with days of stoic silence. What was going on in her mind? Even psychologists didn’t know. She aimed to find out who destroyed her life and take revenge. No more loved ones will be taken away from her.  For this purpose, she was ready to make a pact with the devil himself. 

The summit of Mount Bukhsansan isn’t the hardest to reach, but for her broken heart, it’s higher than Mount Everest. And she decided that one day she will climb it. The day, when her heart will feel light again, will be a farewell to the past and the beginning of her new life.

Personality

Strong, rational and cold as Antarctica. Like a sharp knife that always hits the target. Distant friends think of her as a machine fueled by delusions, when her loved ones suffer seeing this wounded child lose herself in her own spiral of madness.

She knows survival and self-defense very well and spends a lot of time practicing. Persistent, or rather, damn stubborn. Her trust issues and high intelligence only make it worse, because she became a master at rationalizing her illusions.

Seems to have no empathy. However, this is the result of the fact that she has been through a lot and small problems do not make an impression on her. Deep down, she understands others' emotions well, but first she would have to deal with her own.

Trivias

Worked in a small music store to earn money for criminology studies.

Her parents came to Korea from Europe, hence her tall height.

The first days in Hell were a shock, and Satan got hit in the head as soon as he got within a meter. Self-defense reflexes. He truly misses those times.

Never starts a fight on her own, has to be provoked. Unless it's Satan. His very existence is a provocation (affectionate). More like a hunter who hides and watches preys.

Meeting Andrealphus shattered her worldview. It was only when she saw their similarity that she began to question her priorities.

Her fixation on porn began when she was having a huge crisis. Filled with emptiness, she wanted to feel anything. Over time, this numbness passed (or rather she got used to it), but once she became a connoisseur, why not continue.

She would rather fix the tap than do the laundry. Just doesn't like household chores, that’s why Minhyeok was doing it.

I tried to marry the canon with my own ideas to keep as many features from the game as possible, and at the same time give her at least some depth. Some people asked about her, so I leave it to you, feel free to do whatever you want!
