One of my favorite tropes is when there are two pair-bonded characters who can be represented, at their simplest, as Circle and Line. Hell yeah. I love when there's a Round One and a Tall One, absolutely classic. Same appeal as Bouba and Kiki, to me. When one of them is all elbows and the other one has the physique of a lake Baikal seal? That's the magic. My two best friends, 90 Degree Angle and 360 Degree Angle.

I’m gonna make a longer post at some time but one of my biggest niche pet peeves as a horror fan is when my favorite parts of iconic horror movies/franchises are the main character who defeats the villain, but bc these franchises got so big the killer is the only part of it the average person knows and thus the later movies in the franchise abandon those main characters to focus on the villain and it often loses the heart of what made the og movie(s) so good
