Where the Kaminioans find out early that Palpatine is planning to eventually betray them. Before order 66 they secretly swap the codes for order 66 and order 65 around without Palpatine or anyone else knowing. So basically now order 66 demands the removal/execution of the Chancellor aka Palpatine, and order 65 is the execution of the Jedi.

So when Palpatine calls every single clone commander, commandos, bad batch, and the entire clone army to execute order 66. He is cracking up thinking that the clones are going to kill the jedi. Only to have an uno reverse card, and have the entire Republic army come after him instead.

Because it would take a lot for him to give up. He went from fighting a war to immediately fighting against the people he fought with to save his brothers. It would take a lot to have him step down from fighting, at this point. So. What the hell is this A Lot that makes him take off?

torn between glee at finally getting an action episode and exasperation, because besides what I'm calling the asked-and-answered trope (aka the trope where the writers want something to happen even if it causes a giant plot hole and they "resolve" the conflict by having one character ask the other why X happened and they answer it with a single sentence and never revisit it ["why did i never see you on kamino?" "I was needed elsewhere" {what the fuck}]) my second least favorite trope is "well, that's not exactly true" followed by a character admitting they kept information vital to the plot secret for flimsy ass reasons. Because ykw, even if Cross was deadset about never going back to Tantiss to help the clones still being mercilessly tortured and experimented on by Dr Demagol Space Mengele (and I thought we resolved the reg prejudice during the Mayday arc?? but what do I know I guess) there's no reason to not pass that information onto Rex and Echo??? Bro you want to retire with your baby daughtersis in Space Hawaii then do it, you don't need to hold this information close to your chest. Literally just don't tell Omega if you're worried about her involving herself. She's like 14 it's fine you can lie to teenagers

Wolff hails exceptional Lewis Hamilton after Mercedes year to forget

The Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has paid tribute to Lewis Hamilton’s role in maintaining team morale and being determinedly positive despite the team’s poor performance this year. Wolff also insisted Mercedes had taken steps to pull out of their slump but warned that a return to the top would be no easy task. Hamilton closed out the year with a mechanical failure in the season finale Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday. The race was won with ease by Red Bull’s Max Verstappen who had already clinched his second world championship. For Hamilton it was the end to a season to forget with a car that has been off the pace. He has failed to win a race, losing his record as the only driver to have taken a victory in every season he has competed in F1 and finished sixth in the title race, his lowest standing in 16 years of racing. Yet Wolff emphasised how crucial the seven-time champion’s strong character has been this year for the beleaguered team. “For me knowing him for ten years from a personal side, he was exceptional,” he said. “Better than all the performances in the car, his attitude and mindset this year was outstanding. He has held us up at times, kept the energy level up when it was down even on days where it was difficult for him.” Mercedes won only one race this year, Hamilton’s teammate George Russell taking the flag at the penultimate meeting in Brazil. They finished third in the constructors’ championship behind Red Bull and Ferrari, the team’s lowest finish since 2012.
