Did you like the ending ?
Oui oui
I kinda am a little bit tuckered out on save the world stakes so now I’m watching Toradora! because they took Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun off of Netflix and this was a suggested anime for people who liked GSNK. Also one of my besties likes toradora! so I think it’s a worthwhile endeavor.
Tumblr media
GSNK is my very favorite thing tho 💕

Fannish plegg carton culture, specifically protogenic-endogenic plegg culture that later finds itself to be full of permanent resident soulbonds is —
In very very early childhood:
*Projections literally playing H.O.R.S.E or whatever that basketball game is. Of course the main fronter never played, because they are too short.*
"Huh!! Well I mean those barbecue sauce was spicy before but it's 0.05 seconds later and I feel completely different as a person and also this barbecue sauce is no longer spicy. Oh well. The teacher called me a liar over barbecue sauce so I'm gonna be a shithead to them and have a meltdown"
In middle school:
"What would Gohan do if he was in this world???"
"What would Jayfeather do if he were in this world??"
"OMG. WHAT WOULD. IZAYA ORIHARA DO IF HE WAS IN THIS SITUATION JIST SOME MIDDLE SCHOOLER NOW"
*Has full-ass slow changing "see through my eyes" quasi-ceremonies based solely on vibes since we didn't have innerworld completely built yet*
*Chasing each other in hallways and all people saw was a small autistic child running for no reason lol*
"Why the fuck can I never feel my face when something horrible happens to us me? Also I relate too much to Silver from Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver"
In high school:
"Yep just Gon and Killua from Hunter×Hunter chillin' over there. Nobody can see 'em and these feel pretty distinct from hallucinations considering I can't literally see them. Eh. Maybe just imagination."
*Checking out a pro-endogenic blog in 2015* "Yup I am just a curious singlet"
*Still chasing ourselves through hallways just less or more hidden because people are stupid.* Why the fuck am I so angry all of the time. Why the fuck do I feel like there should be more to all of this.
"Hhhh Illumi Zoldyck from Hunter×Hunter patting my head is completely normal. So is pretending I am Ethan from Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver I'M NOT PRETENDING ThOUGH??? I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO CALL THIS all I know is I am definitely Ethan, , not Ethan? And Illumi Zoldyck is petting my head and we are working at a McDonald's right now. What the fuck is happening" *Proceeds to ignore this and never tell anyone until we are today years old*
"My vitriol for Hisoka Morrow of Hunter×Hunter has three sides to it. I hate him and his canon. I have no clue how to explain the other two sides to this and I cannot stand my friend obsessing over this character" *Proceeds to also ignore this one too, and never tell anyone until we are today years old*
In university:
"Hey 30 year old Gladion idk if you're actually a figment of my imagination anymore but yeah sure your sister Lily and her daughter Mei can chill in here in this brain for awhile. Does this mean I'm genderfluid lol?" (Narrator: this is, in fact, NOT what genderfluidity is supposed to feel like.)
"Oh well I guess Itonai from Assassination Classroom is just decided to sleep in the bed tonight. Get the fuck off of my bed ya lazy bum. Noooo it's just wei — get back in our head you freak (//lovingly, platonic)"
*Just feeling fucking uncomfortable around sysmedicalists but especially the sysmedicalists who were anti-endogenic as well (yes there are pro-endogenic sysmeds!! Uhm but definitely not plural, nope)*
"I am now talking to these projections while brushing my teeth. Lucifer from The Devil Is A Part-Timer has literally crash-landed into our brain along with Emilia Justina. Wtf?"
*Discovers the word endogenic yet again and gets the weird euphoria again*
*Maybe our late second year at university, at fucking 11PM, after anime club finishes — Kusuo Saki just fucking chilling on top of the table via projection* "Heeey so remember that one time in high school where you had weird daydreams about that pink-haired psychic boy and the blonde with drills? Welp, Mami Tomoe picked me up on the way here —" *Queue freakout of the main fronter at this point*
-----------
SO ANYWAYS that is. Uh. Some Stuff(tm) yaaay, anyways the good thing about this is we don't think our queer shit would ever, ever be as fucking weird as our plurality shit in the context of the societal context and chronological context we, Rusanya, live in, so figuring out we're aceplex (since we found the plurality first and asexuality is more of a veil) was mostly just an "AHA okay then lol" and we just kind of slap every label on the planet onto us that we like that we think applies, both on an individual and collective level. :D

Introduction to my Tumblr page??
This feels so awkward. I don't know why..
Okay anyway.
Hi, I'm Alex and this is the first introduction to any social media account I've ever made so sorry if it's not good.
I will just start off by explaining the image.
In the top left corner is what kind of music I like. I didn't want it to fill up too much so what I have on there right now is Mitski, Korn, The Cure, and The Misfits. But besides those four bands, I also like Mindless Self Indulgence, The Cure, System of A Down, The Garden, Creature Feature, Xasthur, My Chemical Romance, Deftones, Alien Sex Fiend, The Naked And The Dead, Aurelio Voltaire, Will Wood, Will Wood and the Tapeworms, Jack Conte, Lemon Demon, Queen, Birds Fear Death, Ghost, Melanie Martinez, Ramones, Pixies, TV Girl, Puzzle, Skinny Puppy, Oingo Boingo, and Soft Cell. Those are most of the Artists I listen to that I like four or more songs from.
Below the picture of music artists I like, there are three games I like to play. Like a Dino!, Nyan Cat: Lost in space, and Pastel Friends. I think I can say Like a Dino! is a music based game, and it almost reminds me of Magic Tiles 3, a game I used to play when I was younger. Nyan Cat also has music but a lot of meowing in it. I like Nyan Cat because of the sound effects and I personally find it a fun game. I also like how you can customize your cat. Pastel Friends is just a basic dress up game. I love dress up games where I get to create little characters. I don't know why, but it probably ties into how I used to be a cringy gacha kid when I was younger, but who the hell knows 🤷 It's fun and I think it's cute. But besides those three games I also like to play Fun Run 3, Geometry Lite, Geometry Dash, SubZero, Doki Doki Literature Club, Baldi's Basics, Custom Cast, Goat Simulator, Minecraft, and Gacha Life 2. Gacha Life 2 is only to dress up and make cute characters again, I promise I do not participate in any Gacha Heat 😞🙏
Below the games there are three movies. Pirates of the Caribbean 1: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest, and Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End. POTC 3 is my ultimate favorite though. My favorite character is Hector Barbossa and he is just such a good character in my opinion! I do not wanna say too much because I'm afraid I might spoil something, but he owns a monkey named Jack and I remember a specific scene at the end of one of the movies Hector is seen baby talking Jack (not Sparrow).
On the right side of the movies, there is an anime I really liked and have for four years. HunterxHunter!!! I love it so much I have no idea why. Like I hate so many of the characters, like that stupid clown Hisoka, and there's also the bald lemon head looking bald grandpa in the Zoldyck family, but it's not Zeno. But besides that, I find it a nice anime.
On top of HunterxHunter, there's two people I made in Pastel Friends. Me on the left and my girlfriend on the right. I will not say her name for her own sake but she is the best and I'd do anything for her. We were friends for a year before we got into a relationship and she's the most perfect person I've ever met.
On top of my girlfriend and I is Illumi Zoldyck. There is not much to say. I just like him :P
And on top of Illumi, there is the unlabeled flag. I hope its not outdated, I kind of rushed making this whole thing. But I do not have any labels on my gender/sexuality. I am not cis, demi-boy, demi-girl not hetero, bisexual, pansexual, I am just me and prefer the pronouns he/him or they/them. But it is completely cool if you go by any of the sexual orientations/genders I just listed!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈🌈🏳️‍🌈 bwyafypdh
I think I explained everything on the image, now I will tell you other things
My favorite drink is eggnog, my favorite foods are probably steamed vegetables, my favorite candy is suckers, my favorite dinosaur is the Spinosaurus, my favorite colors are red and sometimes green.
Likes: Candles, things that smell good, writing, reading, poetry, winter, the cold, caffeine, pirates, dinosaurs, language from the 1500's, music, the grinch, lipgloss, socks, cool mugs, sketching, mini dioramas
Dislikes: Being too warm, MY HANDS BEING STICKY, naps, breaking my elbow, cracking my knuckles and feeling pain, mean teachers
I have a basic DNI list
My favorite book is also The Timekeeper by Rob Kidd!

How’s my portrayal?;--
{ooc} @acandlelitdeath inquired;-- I haven't watched alot of hxh and I'll be honest one of the reasons I haven't watched is because of hisoka and his grossness we can all kind of agree to. But having seen your portrayal of him I am thinking of going back and watching some of the episodes and maybe even continuing to catch up with the series. You make him interesting and well rounded, still not a good guy but we don't need him to be in order to be interesting. You give him a voice and a mind that I don't think we really see when we're introduced to him in the show. Your little cardsuit thing is also really cute and clever, i love it. I can't wait to see how you write more now and try to piece together all the different meanings you have behind them. I love symbolism stuff so I'm geeking out over it.
Tumblr media
≺ooc≻
OOF okay so let me start off by saying you are 100 percent valid for feeling uncomfortable with this character. A lot of people are uncomfortable with him and actually-- if I may be honest, it’s part of the reason why most of the time I do not follow people unless they follow me first. I want people to be comfortable and it’s a big fear of mine that I’ll ruin someone’s day or make them upset. I’ve seen so many other hxh rpers floating around but I’m absolutely terrified to try and follow them sometimes.
(the sounds I made tho when i did got followed lemme tell you I screamed seeing Chrollo, Illumi, Ging, Shal and a Matchi follow me. And not to mention all of these fun OCs I’m in HEAVEN.)
 But I personally just love him so much-- nastiness and all. He’s horrible, cruel, selfish and absolutely scary and a man like him doesn’t have a sense of morality to any degree. Now this isn’t to say I condone what he does, because I absolutely don’t. I fully acknowledge how he can be and how.. gross he is. But i have this twisted love/hate relationship with him. I have my own way of explaining his disgusting habits and maybe I’ll write a post on it one day-- But you totally should watch the rest! This series is super fun and has its share of sweet, sweet angst. And I thank you for the kind words uvu as I said above I really love this character and want to write him the best I can. It makes me feel all kinds of warm and fuzzy hearing it ;;u;;
Oh-- and I’m glad to hear that you are also enjoying the symbolism! uvu He uses them when he speaks in the manga so I can’t take full credit for the idea; but I did take that idea and gave them their own meaning for my own personal flare.

hello ! What's your top 10 HXH characters, and why do you like them ?
Hello anon!
Sorry for the wait! Here is my list so far!
1) Killua Zoldyck
Tumblr media
I have explained why here and here there is an analysis of his ability and foiling with Illumi.
I love his growth and the themes he explores. His is basically the story of a child freeing himself from an abusive family. At the same time, he is also challenged not to leave said family behind (especially when it comes to his younger siblings).
Moreover, he is also called out on his tendendy to define himself through creating codependent relationships.
This is something I really enjoyed and that gave his relationship with Gon and his character in general more depth.
2) Alluka (and Nanika) Zoldyck
Tumblr media
Alluka/Nanika does not have a very complex psychology nor an arc so far. However, the idea behind her and her thematic resonance is so great that I still adore her!
Alluka is a great example of how to write a symbolic and metaphorical character that is still important for the story.
A lot of themes are entangled in her. She is the child nobody wants and is very fittingly trans and mentally ill coded.
At the same time, Nanika’s ability is nothing, but the wish of a child to make her loved ones happy and a way to show how children imitate and learn from adults. It is a representation of conditional love taken to the extreme.
The way her story is solved in the Auction arc might have been underwhelming plot-wise, but it is perfect thematically. The fact that Nanika is not who Alluka is, but is still important for her and so must be accepted is a deep and wonderful message.
I am also curious to see how the theme of codependency linked to her will be explored in relation to her bond with Killua.
3) Palm Siberia
Tumblr media
I love Palm!
She has one of my favourite arcs because it is so refreshing to see the stereotype of the yandere being subverted.
She starts as a mix of different female character stereotypes, but as she gets more focus she blooms into her own character thanks especially to her relationship with Killua.
I love that she is the one that ends the CAA!
3) Meruem
Tumblr media
I think he has my favourite arc in the series and his is surely one of the best written (if not the best).
I love how he seems hateful and boring at the beginning of the CAA only to break the readers’ hearts at the end of it.
His growth thanks to his love for Komugi is great because he does not lose the root of his characterization. He remains prideful and competitive and it is specifically this that draws him towards Komugi aka his strongest opponent. Thanks to her he becomes able to appreciate life and humanity and chooses to give up his identity as King to only become Meruem.
He is an example of how a “redemption arc” does not really have to follow a formula and how it can simply be... a normal arc aka a story where a character grows because he is challenged.
5) Morena Prudo
Tumblr media
Morena has appeared for like... one chapter(?), but she managed to conquer me thanks to her backstory, her nen ability and this:
Tumblr media
I adore her! She is a child who has been refused by society and as a result she wants to tear the society down. She is clearly being set up as a foil to this arc’s major players aka Chrollo, Kurapika and Tserriednich.
Her power is also extremely interesting and already incredibly rich symbolically to the point that I have thought multiple times if I wanna wait or if I wanna start making a Nen and Characters post about her!
6) Chrollo Lucifer
Tumblr media
I have discussed him multiple times, so you can just check his tag :)
Here are some metas.
Chrollo is like a devil that steals pieces of others’ identities because he himself is not sure of who he is.
This coupled with intelligence and powers, his foiling with Kurapika and his bond with the Spiders make him an incredibly interesting villain!
7) Hisoka Morow
Tumblr media
Hisoka is a great example of how to write a joker character.
He is a man from nowhere and lacks any kind of backstory or root. This makes him perfect to play the part of the joker and so far... he has literally played that part in every arc he has appeared in.
There has been no time he had been completely loyal to a side he has joined.
He acts as a Spider only to fight Chrollo.
He helps Kurapika, but also threathens him.
He helps Gon and Killua in Greed Island, but hides he is working for Chrollo.
He assists Illumi, but lies to him and is about to betray him.
In the current arc he is, as per usual, a wild card.
It is precisely this that makes him such an interesting character to observe.
8) Kurapika
Tumblr media
Kurapika’s arcs are among my personal favourites because of the focus being on politics and planning rather than pure fights.
At the same time, Kurapika is an incredible character and I am looking forward to see where his story goes in this arc.
He is self-destroying because he is unable to overcome the grief over losing his tribe and his family.
This leads him to make violence on himself, so that he is turning into someone he is really not.
His nen power is among the most interesting because of how complex and calculated it is and because it is clearly an attempt not to lose his morality to revenge.
9) Gon Freecs
Tumblr media
Gon’s development in the CAA is heartbreaking, but incredible and it perfectly deconstructs all those traits that had been praised up until the previous arc.
Gon’s stubborness and willingness to overcome limits are why he is able to make it this far, but the CAA shows also how they can be dangerous and destructive for both himself and others.
10) Illumi Zoldyck
Tumblr media
Illumi is hand down a disaster.
He is a terrifying foil to Killua, but also an entertaining character to watch.
I hope his relationship with Hisoka receives more focus because it is honestly hilarious and is strangely working for me :’’’)
Thank you for the ask! It was fun and it reminded me why I love this series so much!

Random date night with Illumi, Hisoka, and Chrollo
Tumblr media
Hello, anon! Ask and you shall receive! This prompt is very interesting and I will try to keep it in character as much as possible. To sum this up, Hisoka would take you to an ice cream shop, a carnival, or apple orchard while Illumi would rather go to an art or historical museum. Chrollo would persuade you to attend a book reading/author signing or go hiking. Depending on who you are and what your ideal date is, I’m sure you’d find them all fun. Going to a carnival or apple orchard is my go-to since I’ve barely been because they’re all in the suburbs. These headcanons are explained much more than the others. That is why Chrollo and Illumi seem to be short, but they’re not. Also, I can’t wait for Halloween because these headcanons are going to be amazing. I am extremely sorry if there are grammar errors! Taking classes on Zoom is frustrating and now my brain has to relearn everything that I lost in 3 months! Before we get started, I have a few announcements.
This post is more laid back than my other headcanons because I tried to keep it as canon as possible.
I want to thank you all for 65 followers! It means a lot! I’m happy to see that a lot of you enjoy my writing and like it enough to follow me! I have a challenge for you! When I reach 100 followers, I will host some type of writing event here...but I need ideas. I’ve seen some pages do specials where you can send an ask and pretend like you're talking to a character and I respond with what they’d say. SEND ME IDEAS! I WILL CREDIT YOU!
I will be stepping back a little more than before. I’ll still be logged in and re-blogging but as far as writing posts like this...it may only be once or twice a week. You see, I’m in college and I’m struggling financially and I have to work on scholarships. If you all send me an ask, be patient.
Voltron posts will only be created based on asks. I will not be writing posts about VLD if no one requests them. I do not receive any feedback from it anymore and no one seems to like them.
Now, let’s get into the post.
Let's start with Illumi first.
Tumblr media
Headcanon 1: Illumi has a secret admiration for different types of art but he specifically enjoys pop art and surrealism. He has commented on how surrealism makes his brain twist and his feelings swirl as he tries to figure out the piece and what inspires it.
He prefers not to participate in tours as he likes to digest the art at his own pace.
Headcanon 2: In his spare time, he paints on a canvas. His art style consists of both surrealism and abstract art. For a person with a dark personality, his compositions always contain bright colors and abstract techniques that leave you wondering about his TRUE personality. He is truly a good man with a bright personality but after being abused for so long, those behaviors/personalities have been shoved so far down his throat that they may not come back up.
He has a bad habit of asking you what you thought about every single piece of art you passed. The conversations were great but this is a date after all. The playful conversation slowly turns into a lecture about art. Although you loved your bf’s dictionary-like brain it also drained your energy.
One of his favorite artists is Vincent Van Gough. Although he favors surrealism, Van Gogh’s art style was mind-blowing to him. So amazed that he buys several Van Gogh t-shirts from the gift shop.
His favorite piece created by Van Gough is “Starry Night”.
He notices that you are becoming bored and decides that it is time for MORE excitement, one that you are certain to enjoy.
“Where are we going,” you ask, pretending to be interested.
“Down to the basement. We are going to have a bite to eat.”
Since Illumi rarely smiled, when he did smile it drove you wild. The anticipation of what his next move was going to be is what drove that wildness. Being a bounty hunter was thrilling already but dating a smart, badass assassin was totally out of your league but it worked out.
Headcanon 3: Illumi’s idea of being romantic is dramatically different from yours. He believes just spending time with you on the couch was enough. He is correct; but if you have the time and funds, your time together should be a little spontaneous. You insisted on dates outside of the house because his family will not stay out of your business.
“Illumi, I am too hungry for more trivia.”
He chuckles. “Don’t worry. So am I. That is why I’ve decided to take you to a wine and cheese party.”
Huh? Wine and Cheese at 3PM? That’s ok. When was there a time limit on when you can drink alcohol?
Illumi has indirectly attended parties as such when he was 15 years old. He never drank, but he watched as his mother’s friends (surprisingly) talked about business and their children. This time, you weren’t going to talk about business for once. Instead, you two were going to actually talk about what couples discuss.
Headcanon 4: When introduced to alcohol for the first time, Illumi immediately stated how he hated brown liquor. That includes Hennessy, Jack Daniels, etc. It makes him sick to his stomach. He prefers to drink Smirnoff mixed with fruity drinks like strawberry or pineapple.
He loves it when you make these drinks for him on a summer day.
Hence the title wine and cheese, you both go to a stand-up table, place your brochures down, and actually have a wonderful conversation not involving work or hunting.
Illumi smiled a few times, more than usual. Whenever he appears to be softer even around you, that is because he has mellowed out and doesn't have the overbearing weight of his family on his shoulders. You set him free.
Tumblr media
Hisoka
According to a one-shot that another manga artist created, they expressed that Hisoka was found on the side of the road, was taken in by someone that worked at a local circus, and learned Nen in a matter of days. Hisoka’s clown look and having the skills of a magician proves that this has to be canon in some way.
Headcanon 1: Given this potential backstory, going to a carnival is his go-to every summer. He wants to take you to a circus but saves that for you as an engagement gift.
Everyone with a heart knows that whether or not you’re in a relationship or not the carnival is fun as hell! Expensive fried food, elephant ears, funnel cake, ICEE’s, rides, and stuffed animals are to die for!
Being at a carnival relaxes him so his bloodlust isn’t activated unless someone bumps into him and causes a scene.
Headcanon 2: PDA is something that Hisoka does well; he doesn’t overdo it but does it enough where people get the impression that you are a couple and aren’t “best friends”.
While completing a mission depending on how rough it may be, he insists that you tag along to see how he handles the situation. You’ve already seen his ruthlessness from Hunter’s exam but he insists.
His sense of pride gets the best of him sometimes. Sometimes his head is so big that it reminds you of a large birthday balloon.
Headcanon 3: ANYWAY, given his nature, he is very adventurous, dangerous, and courageous. If he wants to go on the Demon Drop, he’ll do it and you DO not have a choice in the matter. He’ll tease or guilt trip you into doing something that you would not like to do.
“Well, you wouldn’t want me to cling on to someone else, would you?”
“No. Of course not,” you reply.
“Let’s go then, scaredy-cat.”
As a hunter, you’ve seen worse. Why are you so afraid to go on a ride?
Headcanon 4: At apple orchards, cornfield mazes are one of his favorites. You cannot for the life of you figure out how to get out but he can. He grabs a scarecrow and scares you from behind. That annoys you but is nothing compared to later on that night.
Oh. My. God. It’s haunted house time!
“Hisoka, I’m not going in!”
“Why not? I’ll protect you.”
“Because they’re monsters and I already have to deal with one.”
It took him a second to catch on that you were talking about him.
“That’s going to bite you in the butt, kitten.”
Headcanon 5: Like Killua, Hisoka has a sweet tooth. Don’t allow his buff appearance to fool you!
He LOVES caramel apples, elephant ears, funnel cake, freshly squeezed lemonade, fudge, and cotton candy. How can this man manage to stay in shape? The world may never know.
Headcanon 6: He isn’t one to play by other people’s rules but he sets his own rules with your relationship that you both must obey. One of those rules says that neither of you can be on your phones while together.
Headcanon 7: Hisoka insists that you both wear either matching pants or matching shirts to avoid unnecessary flirtation.
He isn’t jealous but on “us time”, he doesn’t want to lose a single second.
Headcanon 8: Hisoka only jumps in when necessary. Given that you’ve passed the hunter’s exam and work as a bodyguard, he knows you can handle your business. If the person can’t take a hint, then he steps in. They almost back up immediately considering Hisoka is towering over them.
When the moon shines, you both go to the car and off to sleep in your comfy king-sized bed.
Tumblr media
Chrollo
We all know that Chrollo loves to read! What does he specifically like to read? What Genre? Does he like to read alone or with other people?
Although Chrollo is a thief and must be hidden in the shadows, the authorities have called off the search for him for at least 3 years. Slowly but surely, he begins to find himself in the outside world again.
Chrollo once discussed a book with the Phantom Troupe when they were being transported to another place for a mission. He read “Tears of a Tiger” by Sharon M. Draper.
The reading sessions are opened with an affirmation and a reason to be thankful to be alive. He says he is thankful for the troupe, glances at you, and smiles. No one catches on to that sly face except for Phinks.
Headcanon 1: Chrollo is very silent and shy to an extent. He only associates with people he knows and trusts. You are the social butterfly at this moment.
Chrollo tags along behind you like a shy child, holding your hand while you stick out your free hand to greet everyone.
Today, the book club was going to read “Divergent”.
Headcanon 2: Although he loves to read, he hates it when others read out loud. Most people are drably read and it annoys him. After a while, he takes over. Chrollo was tense the first 30 minutes of the meeting because two cops were there but neither of them noticed it was him.
Headcanon 3: Chrollo often acts the part of the character that he is reading in the book. His tone, attitude, and emphasis on certain words keep the group engaged. He is complimented on his acting!
“Good Job, honey,” you whisper.
He responds by tightly squeezing your hand.
His tone was so impressive that the host insisted that he read for the entire night. He was ok with that because in between reads he was often distracted by a lovely pair of jeans and shoes you had on. You were into writing, so hearing others read and act out the characters helped.
Headcanon 4: In some settings, Chrollo is very braggadocious. He insisted that the group read one of your stories so you could be provided with feedback.
“We’d be delighted to view your story, y/n!”
“It will be fun!”
The book club wasn’t a stereotypical club that only consisted of soccer moms but instead consisted of men and women who were involved with a business, law enforcement, health, etc. This was an open space for everyone to relax and forget about their demanding jobs.
After the meeting, the group went to dinner at a nearby pizzeria. You all enjoyed large pizzas, beer, salads, and dessert. How could your stomach (or anyone’s stomach) hold that much?
Chrollo laughed so much that it made you question if he was your actual boyfriend or not. He even engaged in conversations with the two off-duty cops! For once, you helped Chrollo experience the greater things in life; true love, friendship, and happiness.
“Thank you,” he whispered and slyly placed a kiss on your hand. “For everything.”

When Gon’s anger becomes a protective mechanism for Killua
IMPORTANT: The text is long, plus, I do not support Gon hate. He’s a human being and a kid, so don’t worry, none of my analysis will put him as a monster.
You know the theory that one of the reasons Gon shuts Killua out from Pitou’s fight, besides proving himself and erasing his guilt, is also to keep Killua safe? I didn’t understand at first, but I kinda agree with that now.
Remember the “YES I AM AN IDIOT” iconic scene, Greed Island arc?
Tumblr media
Let’s talk about that and link it all.
They’ve spent half of the chapter 158 arguing because Gon kept insisting on meeting this “Chrollo Lucilfer” person inside the game, while Killua was trying to be logical, saying that this person wouldn’t clarify their reasons only by asking them. Killua eventually gives in, and after Gon uses the card, they travel to met not Chrollo, but Hisoka, who asks if they went all that way just to ask him a question (implying how dumb it was).
Gon says that’s pretty much their reason and Killua kept teasing Gon on his dumb choice.
But after some ping-pong teasing between them, the reason Gon was being stubborn is, actually, a concern that lights up on his mind with memories of his journey to rescue Killua from Kukuroo Mountain. Even blushing, Gon says that he was reminded of Gotoh’s words and was worried that both of them were being deceived.
Tumblr media
Gotoh’s words were, exactly:
Tumblr media
Be careful. And protect Killua.
This also adds to the character analysis - one that is very on point - that Gon being outgoing doesn’t mean he puts depth to analyzing his feelings. He speaks his mind, the problem is not to talk per se - but to put effort into understand his intentions behind those actions. He could say he was worried about them, but he doesn’t, because he speaks first and doesn’t think through what he feels. He’s yes outgoing, but impulsive, and very immersive into acting first, think later - or even thinking only when questioned, because it didn’t even crossed his mind. That’s why we see him talking but yet... it’s hard to know what is happening inside him aside from Killua’s common inner monologues. But maybe protecting Killua it’s so natural that he doesn’t even bother to explain. To think that he keeps Gotoh’s words and even mentions it after all this time, such a nice and gentle touch of how much he respects his bond with Killua.
Now, let’s get back to the CAA events. Specifically chapter 222.
A very shocked and distressed Gon was learning through Kite's attacks, but not to defend himself or parry. His painful attempts were all leading to dodge the punches and faints, so he could give puppet Kite a hug, and an apology.
Tumblr media
Yes, he said terrible things to Killua - and of course wanting to protect him wasn’t the only reason. But he knew from the moment they first met Pitou, that they were dangerous. He wanted to deal with that alone, because it was “his mess”, so he shouldn’t endanger his most beloved one.
We know that this is a turning point for Gon’s development in this arc, because it is the moment where his resolve becomes tainted with all the guilt he is facing. It’s when he starts to lose himself, and Killua knows that, probably, nothing he says or do will convince Gon otherwise.
But what contrasts with the well-known harsh words towards his best friend, is that he never meant to exclude Killua from the whole situation. That's why he says "OUR fault".
Tumblr media
Then, right after, he addresses Killua directly. Visibly starting to lose himself, he takes the responsibility to prove he's strong to fix it, but I think that due to his communication pattern, he might also mean that he’s want to fix it without endangering who he wanted to fight by his side under normal circumstances.
Tumblr media
It’s an act that can hold both guilt and protection. He addresses only that one person in the room because he needs Killua to know that this isn't a normal situation, and that's why he can't bring him to this fight. It isn’t normal because someone dear to him got hurt really bad. It isn’t normal because his best friend, someone who would not think before putting his life at risk for Gon, shouldn’t endanger himself to the point he could face the same destiny, specially because this is Gon’s way to show he cares. Again, Gon just speaks his mind without much thought, with his intentions between the lines. His effort to put his feelings into words mixed with the suffering he is handling are, on his mind, overwhelming enough - but still he cared to speak directly to Killua. Could this be, again, another demonstration of not-so-well-thought feelings spoken with the first words that come to his mouth?
Wouldn’t make sense, after all of those demonstrations of Gon’s behavior when someone is endangered and he desperately wants to take control of the situation because he thinks this is the best way to protect them and to be useful, and with that, deserving of their company?
As Gon's communication is both simple (in words) and complex (behind the words), since he doesn't think through his feelings and he’s a stubborn child, it makes hard for others to catch his intentions, specially if they're already struggling to understand that they are not a burden. Because Killua’s mindset on making friends also includes the need to feel useful, just like Gon’s, but expressed through different means - and by being casted away fro Gon’s decision and later saving the boy in order to push him forward once again to his goal (alone this time), Killua thinks Gon has cut ties with him. as he couldn’t play a helpful role within Gon’s life anymore. So, this is how he reaches the rejective conclusion.
Tumblr media
But the connection that I'm trying to make is that even thought Gon’s words were awful as the boy himself recognized, I truly believe Gon still wouldn't want Killua to fight even if he knew how his friend felt.  But not because he rejected Killua or meant to cut ties with his “no longer useful” best friend.
Because Gon has stated already: Killua doesn’t have to earn his friendship.
Tumblr media
Those harsh words during the Palace Invasion were an attempt to regain control of the situation, prove his worth in the middle of a mental chaos that he wasn’t ready to face. But still, what if he kept reminding himself that he must protect his best friend in the entire world and just couldn’t find a better way to say it? Because he knows Killua is capable of self-sacrificing, Gon tried to stop him before, and Pitou is terribly strong. If it’s hard for him to translate his feelings when he is calm and collected, the extreme condition he found himself dragged in would’ve just made this communication face more obstacles. Fighting his own pain - another thing he couldn’t translate for the sake of his own mental health - led to the words to come out like they were: heartbreaking.
So, I’m not saying that it was solely to protect Killua, but I think that makes sense for Gon’s character. And again, I don’t think he would agree that Killua would fight what he thinks it’s his battle alone. But, with his mind cleared and the right questions, he would've given Killua an answer. He would say that this is not about taking Killua out of the special place Gon has put him, but about Gon taking the the responsibility based on what he thinks it’s best for everyone. His feelings, either protective or hurtful, are only explained when he’s asked, because action speaks volume for him and he needs this trigger question to make him translate his intentions.
Just like in the Hunter Exam, he only tells Kurapika about how he felt with Hisoka because he questioned.
Tumblr media
And in the Yorknew Arc, Gon didn’t let Killua hurt himself and was really trying to understand how the other boy felt. Gon doesn't communicate well but not because he rejects his feelings, and still, he cares about others’ feelings too. He was just literally out of his mind. So yeah, I think he cared for Killua safety, and if after all this time he made a connection between his stubborn acts and Gotoh’s words, it’s because - on his mind - these words and thoughts never leave his head. He’s constantly worrying about Killua, in his own way. But he couldn't explain something that he didn't put a second thought even for himself to understand. And it's not the first time, he acts very similar in these mentioned situations.
Tumblr media
What all these stubborn oriented situations that I’ve mentioned, except for the one regarding Hisoka, have in common? He wanted to protect Killua.
He was undeniably wrong in saying those words to Killua, but it’s something acknowledged by himself already. He IS, by his nature, a protective kid, and under normal circumstances, Killua would be allowed to fight by his side because it has to be him. If it’s not going to be him, it won’t be anyone else. He can’t risk to lose him for something that he feels overly responsible. His words were rooted in pain, but the moment he addresses Killua that he would fight alone - a moment recollected by the latter in the hospital scene - shows respect for the one he has just lost, Kite, and the one he doesn’t want to lose.
Killua is the one who never left him, never discredited him and is irreplaceable. Killua is the first thing that comes up to his mind when thinking about meeting Ging. Who would have thought that Gon’s mind would reach so far into memories and hold so deeply someone’s words like Gotoh’s?
He was selfish. But it’s a childish selfishness, built on such empty expectations about himself that he ends up forcing on others what he believes that is the right thing to do, in order to keep others safe, no matter how bad he hurts his body... because when it comes to protect those he care, he loses respect on his self-care due to this low self-esteem of his. So, he didn’t ask Killua to “please, let me fight alone”, because he’s decided to not drag Killua into a fight he knows he might lose, and then Killua couldn’t be protected.
And makes sense, again, that Killua couldn’t read between these lines, because he also blames himself for everything that happened, and thinks his feelings and desires would only keep in Gon’s way - that’s why those words hit him so deeply, but the thing that hurts him the most was the sole fact that Gon fought alone. He can’t help but compare to the dodgeball, and like Gon, Killua has his own unhealthy patterns: since he only knows love through pain, when he’s prevented from getting hurt against his will, he fails to understand it as an act of love.
The bond they’ve established while playing Greed Island was expressed through dozens of symbolisms already well discussed among the fandom (Killua’s badge, the rainbow diamond, the famous line during the dodgeball game). And I don’t doubt that their encounter with Pitou held traces of the same protective pattern, but messed up by Gon’s internal struggle.
For the times Gon showed concern before, we can mention more expressive moments like the whole Zoldyck arc, when they were escaping from the Troupe, when Tzeseguerra said he’d endangered Killua or even when Killua got caught by some spell, etc, or we can even analyze his body language. Like here:
Before the date, Gon is indirectly protecting Killua in here, through his body language (Killua entered the room first, but Gon puts himself between them):
Tumblr media
And after the date, while being punished for hurting her feelings, Gon screams at Palm when she tried to stab Killua, probably implying that he was observing and only interveins when she tries to hurt anyone other than himself - because he is, again, being stubborn and taking all the blame and control in order to redeem his actions and prove his capacity to fix things. I think it’s possible that Gon talked to her about Killua off curtains, or at least made an agreement about not involving Killua in her madness, but it it’s open to interpretation.
Tumblr media
So, yeah, I can’t help but link everything to his pattern. He responds to the fear of losing those he loves with the same impactful devotion that is given to him, but it is so impactful that fails vocabulary and second thoughts. He knows Killua will be the first to risk his life if something happens or to prevent Gon from getting hurt during his tasks. Killua tends to sacrifice a lot and never complains while doing it, so I think it’s pretty much plausible that even when he can’t express himself at all, he’s worrying about Killua in the corner of his mind. Sometimes, just before our eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways, I love re-reading Greed Island arc and linking to their development through CAA because pretty much anything they do, they’re doing together, and they were bonding so beautifully. Their relationship was never so well-detailed before, but mostly for us, when they didn’t get much time to put in the balance how rushed their training was, and how fast they got attached to the point they can’t even stop thinking about each other while distant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They look at each other like this:
Tumblr media
They inspire this kind of reaction from others:
Tumblr media
And there’s this one... nothing big, I just love it hahahaha
Tumblr media
They’re in love each others’ top priority. It’s not impossible that Gon took Killua’s safety into matter, but his mind and words failed him, as he himself acknowledges that the only explanation to say those things to Killua is that “he doesn’t know what he was thinking”. Because, under normal circumstances, just like about letting Killua fight by his side, he would NEVER hurt Killua’s feelings. He IS protective. He didn’t have to rescue Killua from his own home - since Killua left for himself - but he still does it, instead of sticking to his main journey. And did not budge until Killua was safe by his side.
It’s a badly worded protection, because he doesn’t even know self-protection and puts action before everything. To figure a better way out of this pattern, he will now have plenty of time to find new ways to protect Killua and himself from the flaws of their dynamic. Their emotional attachment didn’t grow as fast as their fighting skills, but it doesn’t mean Gon is a monster, was malicious towards Killua or wanted to break his heart. I don’t even think he would reject Killua, but would explain the reason behind his decision in a reassuring way.
And finally, it’s so symbolic how Gotoh died and got replaced by a Kiriko - the same creature that translates Gon’s perceptiveness and how the boys are close. This way, they are still linked by Gotoh’s words through someone that mimics Gotoh’s appearance and also understands their relationship like the long gone butler. His words will never die.
And not to mention... how shoujo and romantic it is that Gon remembers the promise he made to Gotoh before he takes Killua with him? It is almost like a marriage proposal. That he didn’t forget, not even after all this time.
Do I think he would’ve change his mind on letting Killua fight? Not at all, and Killua couldn’t change his mind even if he begged, at least not without some patient mental work. This is Gon’s mindset on protecting someone. But like that time in Greed Island, under normal circumstances, Gon would’ve ease Killua’s worries directly or indirectly after some talking. And of course, it is not his job to guess Killua’s feelings, communication must be a two-way path. Killua waited for too long, and at that point, Gon was too lost in his grief and wasn’t able to measure his words. But I truly believe that, deep inside his mind, those words and that promise were still there, waiting to resonate if necessary.
And as @gallyl added so perfectly: Killua is alive and well, grieving on the hospital’s bench, trying to get a grip of everything he just experienced. Decided to give Gon a second chance, he’s now able to understand this message of love Gon has left for him: there’s so much he can do in life, that Gon simply doesn’t want him to die because Killua’s whole life was surrounded by death - and Killua’s greatest wish was to live like a normal kid. And this speaks louder to Gon than having Killua to himself in death. A love that is not selfish, and does not envy. Killua’s life is validated, and in return, he saves Gon and his sister, the ones he loves the most, and validate back their right to exist, to grow, to try again. Unconditional love. At first, he’s hurt and demands an apology. But it’s Alluka who reminds him of how love must be free to give and to receive - he should let his heart open for whenever Gon is ready to reach him again.
But now, the apology will matter.
Tumblr media
And this is absurdly romantic. Not every sacrifice ends up in dying together to prove a relationship. They’ve made promises similar to marital vows, and not everything happened like they wanted, but they made clear to us that they’re not done with each other - as they refuse to say goodbye, and keep grammatical constructions like “for a while”, indicating a break, an interlude.
Their song is still playing, and their promises still exist as their split was never mentioned as something definitive, because preventing the other one to get physically hurt on your behalf and taking some time to think before you take the risk to accidentally emotionally hurt them too are both ways to show protection. Ways that they’re learning now, two boys who think they should get hurt to love and be loved.

Heyo! Love your writing 💖 from most to least, who in the adultrio is most touch starved and how do they deal with it in a relationship? 👀👀👀👀
Hi! This is cute and sad at the same time, but I'll make it all better and fluffier ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧
Thank you for the request and I hope you'll like it! 😄
Warning: very long, a bit sad because of their pasts, some personal analysis based on common HxH knowledge, gut feeling and theories
A/N: literally poured my heart and soul, especially for Chrollo and Hisoka, because I feel really bad for what they had to go through and how twisted they can be, when things could’ve been so different
So the way I see things is as follows:
From the most touch starved to the least (they all are, absolutely, but the explanation will be below for each character):
Chrollo -> Hisoka -> Illumi
Why? Lemme demonstrate.
Chrollo
since he was probably abandoned at birth in Meteor City, he’s already missing the parents’ loving touch
Meteor City seems to be one of the harshest environments in the Hunter x Hunter universe, probably being second only (at least for me) to the Dark Continent, since that one is just nuts
because of where and how he grew up, he probably never felt anything... good, in terms of touching, affection, love etc.
Chrollo loved no one and no one loved him
not truly and not for what he is
but mostly for his looks, his power, the things he could probably acquire for them
the Spiders are the only ones who accept him as a leader and a friend, a mentor, but even so, they don’t seem that close
and he does seem like the type of person who craves it, so badly
especially after hearing about it, seeing other people do it and even reading all those romance books and poems
but he’s terrified of letting anyone that close to him and seeing him for who he is
not even he knows who he is for sure, so he is just really confused
and all those moments where he touched someone and even seemed like he cared were all lies
Chrollo actually doesn’t really get much comfort from doing it because it’s a total stranger and even though he’s the bad guy, maybe they are bad too
now, if he does get into a relationship, it’s going to be tough
he’s always searching for a catch, a lie, an ulterior motive
so you have to be very patient and actually take it easy
always ask him if he’s okay with what you’re going to do
he’ll always appreciate that and make him feel like he doesn’t have to act or lie or feel pressured into doing something he doesn’t want
if he really loves you and cares, he will slowly give in to the temptation and allow you to get closer to him step by step
maybe not immediately, but he’ll definitely start reciprocating and even initiating those affectionate gestures
and it makes Chrollo so happy when you respond positively because he needs some sort of validation that what he’s doing is okay, you’re comfortable around him, you accept him, you love him, you won’t hurt him in any way
if there’s anything that makes you uncomfortable, tell him, because there’s nothing more he hates than hurting someone he actually cares about
overall, in the end, he’ll be pretty affectionate and romantic with you because your affection, touches, intimacy, domesticity and love that you offer him allow Chrollo find a part of himself, a more human one that he most probably thought he didn’t even have
Hisoka
in Hisoka’s case, I’d like to mention the fact that he had his mother
for how long, we don’t know, but he was taught how to do some magic tricks by her
I do think that maybe they weren’t that close, but his mother could be somewhat affectionate at times
which is probably why he remembers the fact that she taught him pretty fondly
remember the fact that Hisoka doesn’t normally care about the past, so this must’ve been something pretty significant to him and still is, since he employs cards and magic tricks into pretty much everything he does
now, about how touch starved he is?
very
not as much as Chrollo, but certainly not that less either
like I said, he had a parent, his mother, so there was some family bonding and some motherly love (at least a bit), whereas Chrollo had nothing
that doesn’t mean that Hisoka isn’t touch starved
but he doesn’t really pay much attention to that
he probably has a lot of one night stands since he seems to be so... flirty and easily excitable and extroverted
maybe he really is shy, like he said? probably in a relationship and when he is vulnerable, but I’ll get to that in a moment
even with all the one night stands and his personality, Hisoka doesn’t really feel anything, at least not emotionally, when touching or being touched
only physically
and he likes it, but that would be it, he doesn’t feel any emotional connection to anyone
but in a relationship, an actual, real, romantic relationship, things would be different
Hisoka’s going to be flirty, teasing, even mean sometimes
especially when you actually seem to want to know more about him - as a person, his past, his hobbies, anything regarding him, not the persona he has made for himself
but, again, patience and don’t go overboard
it’ll feel like an intrusion
also, yes, touchy, very
but... it doesn’t really feel like anything more than something purely physical and if you tell him to stop, he'll listen and back off
it’s all about pleasure and if you get none, he’ll feel as if he did badly
so he’d rather not have to deal with that
just like Chrollo, he’s protecting himself and his heart
because pretty much no one wanted to be with him, but for the benefits he’d bring them
not that he really let others too close either - whoever did get too close and betrayed him died painfully, I know for sure
but you’d probably start breaking down those walls slowly, in time
he will share things about himself and let you witness it, but not too much and not too often
not really into talking about his past, but again, snippets, not everything
Hisoka’s scared that you’ll use what you find out about him against him
but once he realises that yes, he can trust you and yes, he can be himself?
all bets are off
touchy, flirty, teasing, but in a very... let’s say, lighthearted way, very focused only on the two of you?
the creepy flirting and whatever is reserved for whoever he wants to fight/kill
but with you, it’ll be a lot more romantic and affectionate
will absolutely love having you close physically and touching you constantly
feels recharged and happy when he’s close to you
will definitely be almost like a different person sometimes because he’ll allow himself to be relaxed and comfortable and vulnerable around you
Hisoka likes having someone like you to rely on and be able to talk to about his thoughts and fears (not many, but still), even if it doesn’t really happen that often
but, bottom line is, he trusts you, a lot more than he’s probably trusted anyone in his entire life and will be more honest with you as well
Illumi
for Illumi, I’ll have to say that it’s his family
yes, they trained him to be an assassin and was pretty much just a test subject for Kikyo and Silva since he is a boy and the oldest
but, still, he had a family that, in a way or another, was there for him, preparing him, helping him and providing him with whatever he needed and maybe even wanted
again, this is only my way of saying that he had some sort of contact with people who were close to him, especially from a genetical point of view, ever since he was a child and had help in case he needed it
because of all the torture and training he went through, Illumi is pretty much emotionless and immune to almost anything
he feels no real joy from being touched by others or touching them, and the only ones even allowed to touch him are his family and Hisoka, mostly because he’s persistent and they’ve known each other for some time
the only way he’s really been taught how to touch others is if he has to kill them, so you can imagine that he doesn’t really know what he’s missing on, compared to, let’s say Alluka or Killua, even Kalluto who were raised a bit more... lovingly
so imagine how it’ll be when he gets into a relationship with someone who’s a lot more touchy
he’d probably be pretty on edge and even appear threatening
but, explaining what you want to do in simple terms and your reasons should make him a bit more open, at least to the idea of thinking about this
of course, Illumi’s seen other people hugging, kissing, holding hands etc.
and he’s probably wondered why he never did that
but at the same time, he’s never really felt like he really needed affection in his life
until you came into it
when you started with small things (holding pinkies was something that lasted for like a month), he couldn’t really say that he saw the big deal
but at the same time, Illumi liked it a lot
when it came to hand holding, he loved the way your smaller hand fit into his and almost seemed like it was made for him and he could just keep you close and safe
other things, like hugging or kissing probably took a bit longer
his favourite thing to do has got to be cuddling because he just likes feeling like he can relax around you and also get his daily dose of touch, love and affection from one of the few people he cares about, even loves, and who he allows to touch him
and yes, he’ll slowly start touching you as well
something as simple as a brief hug before he has to leave just makes him feel giddy and he actually wants and needs more when he comes back to you
he likes feeling all those positive emotions, though he doesn’t really like that feeling of vulnerability, but he guesses that it’s only fair, considering the fact that you’re doing the same
to others, it might not seem like he’s changed much: the same emotionless face and the same ruthlessness as an assassin
but when he’s with you, everything just seems a lot more relaxed for the two of you and he can actually just breathe and know that he’ll have you by his side at the end of the day

Did Chrollo doom the Phantom Troupe?
Disclaimer: Please note that I am mostly referring to the 2011 anime as I only picked up the manga where the anime stopped. This is my own reflection on the subject, and is not in anyway a fact or truth. Feel free to disagree!
Neon’s Fortune Telling Power & Her Lack of Knowledge about Nen:
Let’s start by talking about Neon’s Hatsu. We all know that if given the full name, birth date and blood type of someone, she is capable of predicting the future with 100% accuracy, one month at a time, in the form of short poems, one short paragraph per week of the month. She has no knowledge of what she writes/predicts (and does not like to know what she predicted because she feels it will impact what she wrote).  First off, from my point of view Neon seemed really unaware of her nen ability. She is very well aware that she is able to predict fortunes that are 100% reliable, but she does not even seem to know how she does that: she does not know about nen, like Chrollo, Gon or Kurapika for instance.
Evidence of this is scattered throughout the York New Arc. First, if she was a traditional nen-user she would have practiced all the other basic exercises and should be able to use some level of aura in a defensive manner. I cannot believe that a traditional nen-user would have so easily put their guard down around Chrollo, and used no aura to surround their body. Sure, even a trained Nen-user would loose in a battle against Chrollo but still! A basic nen-user could have limited the force of the blow to her head/neck. And since she would be more capable of defending herself, had she been trained with the basic exercises, she shouldn’t need SO MANY guards. The amount of guards that she has is what you leave with a powerless, defenseless person, not with a nen-user that has at least some basic knowledge of nen.
Next, she announces  that “her hand just write the fortune”, and to me that shows she actually does not know how she can give such accurate fortune. She goes on to tell Chrollo that “they say they are 100% accurate”. Why would a nen user doubt their skills? Compare this to Pakunoda’s reaction when Gon and Killua challenge her ability by stating that “she only extract the purest deepest unaltered memory” and that they won’t be able to deceive her.
Sure, maybe an explanation is that she does not want to walk around explaining  what nen is and how she does it, but this actually bring me to my next point. Wouldn’t a nen-user, be able to recognize a fellow nen-user? And if so why didn’t she get bothered by Chrollo’s aura? Even Leorio that has the tiniest understanding of nen can tell that Kurapika’s “presence” has changed. Nen-user “feel” different. A non-nen user would brush it off but a nen-user would be able to tell whether a person is a nen-user or not. Had she been a nen-user, and in anyway aware of it, she would have been way more wary of Chrollo’s intention.
Lastly, let’s not forget that she has no clue what happened to her and why she can’t write fortunes anymore. Wouldn’t a nen-user suspect that their nen was sealed somehow? I am not saying she should know that specifically Chrollo did it, I am saying that if she knew about nen, she would know that a nen-user did something to prevent her from using her nen.
I Strongly Suspect that Neon Unknowingly Put a Condition on her Hatsu.
Now why is it important? Well remember what I said earlier about her hatsu, how “she doesn’t know what she writes (AND DOESN’T WANT TO KNOW)”? This is why it matters. A 100% accuracy is a hell of good rate, it’s almost as impossible as let’s say creating unbreakable chains or being able to steal another people’s hatsu... It most likely requires a condition.
Neon’s goal is to help people know about their future so they can prevent the bad from happening. She states that she feels that if she was told about the fortune, it would impact it somehow. And what if it does? What if she unknowingly set a condition on her hatsu? One that prohibit her from knowing what she wrote, and if she is told then what she wrote becomes fate, unalterable destiny, something her “clients” cannot escape?
Many time through the arc we are reminded that Neon’s fortune can be escaped if we pay attention to them. If it wasn’t an important fact it would NOT have been repeated so many times throughout: by Chrollo, by Neon, by some random mafia guy... Simply knowing people were using it should have been enough, but Togashi went out of his way to make it point that it was used specifically for this purpose. I think this is a hint to Neon’s nen ability. A hint that if that is her purpose she would need a condition defying the purpose of her nen, something rendering her nen less strong or useless. And what better defies the purpose of her fortune telling ability than rendering her fortune unescapable?
If it became unavoidable, I believe the person attempts to escape would only push back the inevitable. Sure their fate would not happen within that month (making the person feel like they escaped it) but it would keep coming for them.
I know I might be stretching it but stick with me a little bit more!
Chrollo Used Neon’s Ability and Was Bound by The Condition. So What Does this Mean for the Troupe?
If Chrollo used someone else’s nen I’m assuming he is bond by the same conditions. For instance the indoor fish is for INDOOR only, he cannot alter it and make it useable outside. This was probably a condition set by the original Nen-user to render them more powerful. Similarly, while we can only assume, if Chrollo was to take Shizuku’s ability he could only vacuum non-living things, just like Shizuku.
This mean in this case, unbeknownst to Chrollo, Neon’s extremely useful nen ability came at a cost: he could not know about what he wrote or its purpose would be wasted by the fortune becoming unavoidable.
Now we all know what the Troupe did when Chrollo wrote them their fortune, they shared it with each other, out loud, in front of everyone including Chrollo (well except for Hisoka who hid the real fortune with Texture Surprise).
At that point Uvogin was dead, next in line was Pakunoda. Now it can be argued that Paku died because Hisoka hid his fortune and convinced them to stay. Or maybe it was meant to be because Chrollo had learned her fortune? I mean how, knowing about her fortune, did she still manage to make the wrong choice and get herself kill? I know she cares about Chrollo but her fortune should have guided her! Well anyway for the sake of the argument I won’t count Paku.
Next of course was Kortopi, who did NOT get his fortune read, but finally come my poor Shalnark (I am still not over his death...). Shalnark’s fortune talked about how he should not make phone calls, because when it matters the most he won’t be able to reach anyone for help. Lastly telling him that death will come calling one time in three. From what we see in the manga and the anime from that point on, the third time that Shalnark’s phone ring is when Hisoka kills him. His phone is shown ringing, falling to the ground as he lunges to catch Kortopi’s head (Hisoka I still hate you for that!). He did not have his phone anymore on him. At the time it mattered most he could not reach anyone. And death came on the third call... Isn’t this odd to you?
Also let’s not forget that Hisoka could have killed Machi but DID NOT. An odd choice. He could have killed the three of them and send poor Kortopi’s head as a present to Chrollo. I don’t know, he did not have to keep Machi alive. Unless she was MEANT to stay alive, you know just like as her fortune said?
Lastly, to support this argument Hisoka, who was the only one to know his real  fortune AND to actively try to maintain it, tells Pakunoda that “it seems that bit by bit fate seems to be changing”. This is a very odd statement. It makes no sense why it is changing, why did Hisoka fortune’s change? Why didn’t he get his fight with Chrollo when his fortune told him he would? Because had he fought Chrollo right then and there, he would have most likely won. Chrollo wouldn’t have had time to prepare and no “puppets” to use to fight. It would have been a tough fight, Hisoka would have been the winner and he would have had no reason to kill Kortopi and Shalnark. But if Kortopi’s and Shalnark’s fate was now unalterable, his own fate needed to change so that he could fight Chrollo later, loose, come back, kill Shalnark and Kortopi to accomplish their fates!
What Will Happen Next (if the hiatus ever ends)?
I have three predictions as to who will die next. The first two depends on whether we count Hisoka leaving the Spiders as “a loss to the calendar”. All the Spiders fortune talked about how their legs are going to be cut in half a.k.a  6 members will die. Personally I don’t think he counts, but I can see the argument that he is a loss so I’ll include my line of thinking in this case. Currently as dead members we have Uvogin, Pakunoda, Shalnark and Kortopi.
If we count Hisoka has being one of the 6 (as in he left the troupe),  then only one person has to die. The only person remaining who we know was meant to die in York New was Shizuku. Her fortune talked about her being alone in a room of stolen goods. The Black Whale is filled with goods, some probably stolen, all definitely soon-to-be stolen.. Considering the spiders are slowly breaking up in small groups exploring the ship I wouldn’t be surprised that at some point Shizuku finds herself in such room only to meet her death: Hisoka or Kurapika. Her death would be the end of the fortune.
If we don’t count Hisoka has being one of the 6 lost legs then inevitably Shizuku will die for the reason mention above, but another member has to die. That member will be Feitan or Phinks... Most likely Phinks in my opinion, because Feitan is too big of a character for him to be killed like that. I know there is no way to say whether it will be Phinks or Fei but my gut feeling tells me Phinks... Why one of these two? Because they are the only one who did not get their fortune read, and if the fortunes of all the other members have to become true, it can only be someone who did not get their fortune read that can die.
The last option which I believe in way less and really really really hope is wrong is that the fortune said the Spiders will get done to 6 members and so the “massacre” will not end until this happens. The spider is currently at 10 members so 4 more needs to die. Shizuku is one of them I’m sure of that, Phinks and Fei are more than fair game, and then Kalluto and Illumi since they did not have they fortune read. I can see Kalluto and Phinks dying. And then either Illumi or Fei dying grand finale style, as in Hisoka killed Kalluto and Illumi goes berserk or same with Fei after loosing Phinks.  However in this case, I think all other members become fair game. Chrollo, Machi, Bonolenov, Franklin and Nobu are all in danger. I don’t believe, and don’t want to believe, in this third theory but well it is still an option worth mentioning.
  Conclusion:
Am I stretching the facts? Maybe. I am forced to since we are missing a lot of information, and can only make assumptions about some things. But I believe that some clues are hidden all over the manga and anime hinting that this could be a real possibility. Plus if you think about it from the writter perspective wouldn’t it be a huge plot twist. Imagine for a second a Kurapika v. Chrollo battle, with Kurapika actually knowing about Neon’s nen condition (e.g: she was told when she was working for the Nostrade to never read Neon’s ability to her) and being able to tell Chrollo that it is HIS fault that half the spiders died, that they could have survived had he not STOLEN Neon’s nen ability. Finally, Chrollo regretting stealing something, feeling  GUILTY for stealing, feeling GUILTY for what he did and the impact it had. I would personally love to read something like that!
Truth is we do not know anything for sure and this is just a theory, but it is worth considering in my opinion. I have no doubt at all that Shizuku, and most likely Fei or Phinks are next.
Anyway that it just my theory!
P.S: English is not my first language so I apologize for any grammar/vocab mistakes

i hope this doesn’t come across as rude in any way at all but i do feel like i’ve kinda got to defend chikage in a way.
chikage has been made to believe that hisoka was at fault, that hisoka killed august. that the fact that his family had fallen apart was all because of hisoka - he knows nothing about what has happened. all he sees is someone he once called his brother living his best life after killing august.
now obviously chikage goes about his revenge plan completely the wrong way, but he’s filled with so much anger that hisoka is alive after supposedly killing august and sadness that august is no longer around. he wants hisoka to be alone, just how chikage has been alone since the incident happened. and the best way to chikage is to destroy the one place hisoka now calls home.
just because chikage is a good liar doesn’t necessarily mean he’s gonna know when someone else is lying, especially when he’s been forced to believe and has accepted that hisoka was the one at fault. when hisoka says he doesn’t remember, to chikage, who’s still angry, that seems like an excuse.
again, i’m really not trying to be rude or mean at all!! and i’m also not defending what chikage did at all because it is wrong, but you do have to try and understand why chikage acted how he did.
⚠️[A3! ACT 5 SPOILERS]⚠️
It’s totally fine LOL! I feel like half of the people on my post were either agreeing with me in the tags or saying what you’re saying anyway 👌
I feel like people are misunderstanding what I was trying to say, I was just answering the anon’s question on “what chikage did” because in a previous post of mine I said something like, “Good thing he’s not telling the rest of Mankai what he did-!” (Not like a “why did chikage...?”, y’know?)
Another is that I didn’t know the motivations (or emotions) behind his actions, I DO!! I truly do understand the reasons why Chikage felt and did the actions that he did (not to brag but I figured it out pretty quickly a little before the game explained stuff), I just didn’t add the reasons to the post to (A.) avoid more spoilers and just get to the juicy stuff the anon probs wanted and (B.) cause I just wanted to roast him and I like Hisoka a lot 😅
It’s my own fault for that though due to my shitpost language, though I really appreciate the explanation of Chikage’s motivations in lettering! 😄
The ‘liar’ thing however is something I’d generally want to debate (or like discuss with ppl in this fandom because, let’s be real, plot talks aren’t really a thing...?). I’m assuming the organization had a lot of spying and secret missions, and that’s why Chikage (to go along with his own issue obviously) is such a ‘natural’ actor 🤔
So, I still genuinely think he still should’ve been able to tell Hisoka wasn’t lying at least about the memory!! But honestly, I could except the excuse that his judgement was clouded by the information the organization gave him/his own conflicting emotions or that Hisoka is just too blank-faced to tell most of the time 👍
Glad you agree what Chikage did was wrong as well, I mean... I feel most people do, even the cabbage simps 🥬 I don’t even hate him, like he’s an interesting character- just still find him a bit 😬, which I suppose as I said is a personal opinion on whether or not he redeems himself by motivations/ending! But thank you for the explanations and the content, my dude 💖

Adult trio with a cosplayer s/o headcanons
(I'm sorry if its suck)
Tumblr media
Chrollo
- I don't see this working out, well maybe for a month or two. Don't worry it's not you it's him, no, literally.
- Chrollo is a understand guy to a certain extent, but this is something he won't put up with.
- For starters Chrollo is way to possessive of things that he sees as his, you know what I mean? And if he was a yandere then that would make things worse for you and everyone else.
- Chrollo and you probably met at a book store, let's be honest. You probably was minding your own business looking for a new manga to read then your clumsy ass trip over air and a gentleman caught you before you got busted your head on a bookshelf, shit happened. And chrollo liked you're eyes or saw something special about you. And now chrollo obsessed with you, nah I'm just kidding, well...
- You, your friends, even family thought he was the perfect Boyfriend. He most likely used shalnark to find out literally everything about, you just so he can be perfect for you (depending at how much he's interested in you).
- Three ways Chrollo found out that you was a cosplayer. First is he most likely knew be as I mentioned before he has shalnark on his side. Second is he accidentally walked in while you was doing a cosplay and awkwardly walked out then walk back in. Third is you straight up told him and probably had some awkward silence for a minute or two. No matter what he understands.
- Here's where everything goes straight to the south and doesn't even try to hit the brakes. Chrollo probably was over at your when you was preparing to do a cosplay that showed more skin then he wanted it to; which this started a arguement and his manipulative ass probably made you feel bad and you took off the cosplay and said sorry.
- Chrollo found out with that argument how hard/easy it was to manipulate you in to doing what he wanted or didn't want.
- Now don't thinks that he hates you being a cosplayer because there are pros and cons to it. Chrollo probably will have you cosplay a character from one of his favorite books, or will have you dressed up while in the bedroom.
- So you can still be a cosplayer but you can only show how much skin that chrollo wants or you can only cosplay for him. You really can't lose in my opinion but we all have different opinions.
Tumblr media
Hisoka
- SMASH THE BONER BUTTON!!!
- This is a win for not only you but also him, but there will be some pros and cons.
- You two probably met at a heaven area or a bar with your friends. Hisoka probably saw your aura and found you interesting and made a move on you, maybe you was in cosplay i don't know.
- If you didn't meet hisoka in cosplay then he probably found out through your friends or when he was over at your place. Either way he most likely started smirking at the thought of you in a sexy cosplay office.
- The pros for you are you'll still be able to do what you love because hisoka loves to show off his new toy but if anyone dares to touch they're dead, so pray for that one gay friend of yours that hypes you up because he dead now.
- The cons is you'll possibly have to dress up in a gon cosplay while having sex (I said what I said), I mean full on gon to the clothes to the personality. You won't never know why he makes you do it either, well...that is until you meet gon and see the way hisoka act towards him.
- Hisoka will also help you do your makeup and sometimes will dressed you up as himself for fun, he'll probably help you with a lot of things honestly.
Tumblr media
Illumi
- no doubt in my mind that Illumi will give you a wtf look straight off the bat, but not because he doesn't like it but it mainly because he doesn't really know what it is. After you explain what it is though then shrug it off.
- I don't even really know how illumi and one of his s/o would meet unless he kidnapped them but probably at bar or something like that.
- Illumi wouldn't care until he saw you in one and was turned on seeing you in cosplay and probably had sex with you until sunrise the next day.
- Illumi is kinda like Chrollo in this situation and doesn't want anyone else to see you in cosplay whether it's sexy or not. Illumi feel like he should be that one to see you in that state and if anyone else does happened to seek a peak then they're good as dead.
- Its hard to try and imagine Illumi as a yandere thanks to how he was raised by his parents. This man doesn't notice that big ass line between love and obsession and that will take probably lead to you two breaking up (if that's possible).
(Sorry if it's bad I'm new at this)

just between you and me... who do you want to Fuck, Marry, and Kill to?
any anime/real life characters is fine
Hmmmm, tough one, not gonna lie 😂
I'm going to choose from HxH because this is the one I'm truly invested in right now ♥️
Also, very long because I like to explain my choices so no one misunderstands or anything 🙇
Kill: Pariston or Shaiapouf (maybe even Tonpa) edit: Tserriednich (I can’t pronounce his name, so I call him Terror Sandwich like someone else said)
Fuck: Hisoka, Razor, Machi or Pakunoda
Marry: Chrollo, Melody, Knuckle, Shoot or Mizaistom
For 1), the reason I chose those is because I don't really get to truly hate a character that easily. I can almost always find at least one thing that I like about them, but I just can't find anything about them.
Shaiapouf's only redeeming quality (if you can even call it that) is the fact that he looks attractive - at least in the manga I really think so.
Tonpa is just a dick and I'd probably push him off a cliff.
While Pariston just creeps the hell out of me. He smiles too much and I just can't understand him or his reasons for being the way he is. Compared to him, Hisoka is a sweetheart. I hated him before I even read about him in the manga and I haven't changed my mind.
edit: Terror Sandwich is just despicable. I don’t know if he’s just as bad as Pariston or even worse, but I can’t stand him. I hope he dies. Again, Hisoka = baby compared to this dipshit. I don’t care. I hate this guy. End of story.
@Chrollo, baby, please, kill him.
When it comes to 2), man... I can't lie. Physically, Hisoka is extremely attractive. He was the first character from HxH that I knew about before I even got into it and I find him really interesting. Plus, I have a feeling that he's really good in bed, very experienced and maybe, big maybe, also aims to show his partner (whether serious or a one night stand) how good he can make them feel 😏
Razor just grew onto me, especially after seeing how... good he became because he was given a chance. I really like how he looks and also how competitive he is. Very driven towards his goal and respecting the rules. I have a feeling he'd be very good with his partner and treat them well.
For Machi and Pakunoda, it's not just the looks, but also how nice they seem to be. I know that they are part of the Troupe and everything that happened and what they were part of. But I really liked what we were shown and I just know that they'd love their partner and want them to feel good and loved 😳💕
For 3)... you can't tell me you didn't see Chrollo being #1 😂 But I'll leave the best for the last and explain the other choices.
Melody... a sweetheart from top to bottom. I didn't really feel anything in the very beginning, but I really got to like her a lot. I have a feeling she'd be very affectionate and understand her partner very easily because of her ability. The looks just fly over my head when it comes to her. I'm curious as to how she looked like, true. But she's so much more than that and awww, she's just really cute and sweet (ʃƪ^3^)
Knuckle and Shoot have become my favourites very quickly during the Chimera Ant Arc, along with Morel (who I see as a more fun uncle of sorts or a very good drinking buddy 😂). Knuckle is such a dummy sometimes, he likes animals and is very compassionate and empathetic and just wants to help everyone. While Shoot is so scared and anxious, but in the end he just proves to want to help as many as he can and just swallows his fears and charges in. I somehow see myself in both of them and know that anyone would be lucky to be married with any of those two.
Mizaistom weirded me out a bit in the beginning, especially because of the costume 🐮😂 But I really like how calm he is and just seems to think about what would be best for everyone. He seems very wise and experienced and is clearly the type of a person who can make quick decisions and actually be rational. He seems like the type of a husband and person you could just have a calm and interesting conversation and also have fun, maybe even make him a bit more... outgoing, let's say? He does seem pretty reserved. But I think in private and with the right person, he's a bit more relaxed. I really like him a lot and I can't wait to see more of him. 😍
And now, my #1... Chrollo!!! 💞🙇
Honestly, it's because of him that I actually started reading and getting interested in HxH. I was reading the HxH Kareshi Doujinshi (pretty much different HxH characters as boyfriends) and there are two stories for Chrollo in that book. I don't know what drew me to him. Maybe the looks, the tattoo, the way he talked or the fact that he was in a bookstore 😂 But I just searched his name afterwards and Holy God Damn, I was in love 😳
I can't lie and say that I was pretty disappointed but not really surprised that he was one of the villains and pretty... upset, let's say, after reading about the whole Kurta thing. All the bad things that he and the Troupe have done are still there, in the back of my mind. But I choose to focus on the aspects of him that I like and find attractive: intelligent, powerful, a great strategist, strong, likes books, is polite and also charming. He's very charismatic and no, I didn't forget that he's physically attractive (to me, he is; beauty is subjective, after all).
I feel bad for him because of the way he grew up and I sort of understand some of the things he does and says. That doesn't mean I condone them.
But with a partner (no manipulation, stealing, yandere or anything like that), I think he'd be a great boyfriend and even husband. I see him as someone who could come to care greatly for someone and do his best to make that person happy, loved and content with the fact that they chose him of all people. He might rely more on the material at first to impress his partner, but if his partner turned out to be someone who doesn't care about that and wants him and his love and time, I think he'd be more than happy to provide.
I don't think many people loved Chrollo or even showed him love, so if someone he cared and loved showed it back to him, I think it would actually make him extremely happy. He wouldn't want someone who would lie or cheat, mostly because he is very good at lying, so he'd know. No one wants someone like that, right? So the fact that he could be himself, all vulnerable and relaxed, around someone would feel refreshing and freeing. Him having a family, someone he could wholly trust, besides the Troupe, sounds beautiful.
I'd love to read and talk and debate with him for hours and days and actually even attempt to show or teach him things and get taught in return. I'd be so curious to know what he knows and likes 😄
Also, I love the fact that he's polite. Some people can be such jerks for no reason and with strangers and it irritates me a lot. I value manners a lot and always think that I'm talking and being polite because I'd like to be treated in the same way, no matter who it is. Of course I'll talk and act in a different way with friends and family, but that's because they know me so well. But with strangers? Politeness is key. Unless there's an actual reason why someone shouldn't be polite, then I'd prefer being civilised.
Anyway, those are my theories and observations.
Phew, I'm tired 😂
I hope this answered your question. And if there's anything else, just tell me and I'll be glad to answer. 🙇

Movie Monday: Quentin Tarantino’s 9 Films!
A/N: I love this mans films, I honestly don’t know why. My favorites are The Hateful 8, Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds, and Django Unchained!
Some Light Spoilers If You Haven’t Watched the Following: Inglorious Basterds, Django: Unchained, Kill Bill, Death Proof, Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown.
Also TW: Mention of N*zi’s and S*aves
Gon: Inglorious Basterds. Inglorious Basterds is about a group of American soldiers running into N*zi occupied France to hopefully take down the Third Reich and gather information. Out of all the characters there, Gon best fits Donny Donowitz, a loveable but extremely chaotic character in the film. Gon has a short temper and very little impulse control, but he’s full to the brim with bravery, much like Donowitz! Honestly, both have some serious chaotic good vibes, absolutely unhinged but very loveable.
Killua:  Django: Unchained. If you haven’t seen the movie, Django Unchained is about Django ( a s*ave) following a German bounty hunter named Dr. King Schultz in search of a pair of very dangerous and hard s*ave owners, including another s*ave owner further in the movie. During most of the movie they hunt down criminals all between the s*ave owning areas/states. Killua best fits Dr. King Schultz for his extremely calm, levelheaded yet witty personality/attitude throughout the whole movie. Killua and Dr. Schultz are very idealistic and rational thinkers, yet extrememly loyal and occasionally let thier emotions decide their next move!
Kurapika: Kill Bill. If you haven’t seen the movie, (which, honestly, shame on you if you haven’t.) this movie is about a woman who was...wronged [that’s as lightly as I can put it.] by members of a group that she was once a part of [as far as it’s led me to assume, since she knows all of these people, she was part of the group.] and now she’s hunting them down to kill them, hence the name Kill Bill. [Bill is the last person on her list to kill, and is the most important notion in her mind.] The character that best fits Kurapika is The Bride. To note, The Bride has no actual name in the film, most people refer to her as Kill Bill or The Bride, so that’s what we’re sticking with. Like Kurapika, their need for revenge runs deep, and their determination and skill set allows them to carry it out with scary calculation. However, they’re both extremely caring and considerate deep down when the opportunity/issue of sensitivity comes.
Leorio: Inglorious Basterds. If you haven’t seen the movie, [bear with me, I explained this already but hear me out] this is about a group of military men going into France (being occupied by N*zi’s at the time) to try to dismantle the Third Reich. The character that best fits Leorio would be Fredrick Zoller for many reasons. If you’ve seen the film and you’re thinking he is absolutely nothing like Zoller in regards to towards the end of the film, yes I agree with that. However, overall, Zoller has the same sense of valor and determination and righteousness that Leorio has, wanting to do anything at all to help those in need, or those that they care about, despite this aspect showing differently based on what they do respectively.
Hisoka: Death Proof. If you haven’t seen the film, it is essentially absolutely unhinged. It’s about a serial killer who was once a stuntman, specifically a stuntman for cars, and the car used was said to be ‘death proof’, meaning you could do any sort of stunt in it and not die. However, this all depends on where in the car you’re sitting. This serial killer kills people using said car. As.. cliché [? cliché really isn’t the word I’m looking for...] as it may seem, Hisoka best fits Stuntman Mike, i.e as it states, the stuntman, the unhinged mad man driving the car. He kills for a reason, a purpose, much like Hisoka does.
Illumi:  Reservoir Dogs. If you haven’t seen the movie, Reservoir Dogs is about a group of men committing a heist. The movie in general shows you the before, the planning and after the heist. The audience never sees the heist take place, and there are only snippets of things that happened within close proximity of after the heist. The character that best fits Illumi is Mr. Blonde. Mr. Blonde has a chaotic side, shown in one of the scenes, extremely sadistic yet cool during the entirety of his screen time. Fun Fact: Mr. Blonde says, “how bout a little fire, Scarecrow?” during one of the scenes, which references the song, How Bout A Little Fire, Scarecrow by Menlo and the line from Wizard of Oz, when the Wicked Witch throws fire at Scarecrow.
Chrollo: Jackie Brown. If you haven’t seen the film, this is an elevated heist film surrounding a handful of people chasing after a staggering amount of money. However, most of them secretly decide that it’s every man for himself, although the group planned to lift the money together. Chrollo [although yes, last week I said he best fit Dr. Schultz, and he does, he still does but this is also a scary good fit for him as well!] best fits the main character, Jackie Brown, a flight attendant with a ton of tricks up her sleeve. Always ahead of everyone and extremely calculating, she and Chrollo are essentially...the same. They’re both also INTJ!

A3! Winter Troupe Yandere Headcanons
(No Guy because I’m only playing the English version and don’t have a good grasp of his character yet)
((Written as if they’re dating the reader!!))
Tsumugi Tsukioka
You two are close, and he genuinely wanted to be…closer to you. It was sweet, really.
When you agreed to date him he thought it was too good to be true – most people would prefer his childhood friend Tasuku, wouldn’t they? Or basically anyone else but him. So he just needed to…ensure that your relationship would last.
Like his subtle and delicate acting style, you don’t realize it happening until you’re in too deep.
Looking back, it all started when he would gift you with flowers. It was cute at first… him giving them to you in person, pressed flowers sent to you through the mail, flowers on your doorstep…until they started showing up in various spots in your securely locked bedroom.
You’re confused and terrified, because what happened to the gentle flower boy that you’ve gotten to know?
Sometimes you can’t believe it either and you question yourself if you’re reading him right. ((obviously this boy’s background in psychology has made him a master of mind games))
You try to tell his troupe members but they usually just end up looking at you funny. Their shy and gentle leader? Really?
He hates himself a little more every time he ends up hurting you, apologizing endlessly, trying to explain why he ‘blows up’.
He would never physically hurt you, though. If you’re being particularly resistant, however, he will use his expertise of flora to his advantage ((no one takes particular notice when Tsumugi’s garden suddenly has more hydrangeas*))
He is a romantic at heart, though, so if you let him have his way he will spoil you rotten. *Hydrangeas can cause symptoms like lethargy, coma, etc. if ingested
Tasuku Takato
Despite his past relationships, Tasuku is quite insecure when it comes to dating.
Sure, he may be the definition of “tall, dark, and handsome” with his looks, height, and stature but his stoic demeanor coupled with him being a poor conversationalist and overall socially awkward man made him worried that you would leave him.
Even from the start, your dates were always private, with no one ever around. A romantic dinner at home, a picnic in a secluded place in the park, long walks along the beach with your arm firmly linked with his. You just chalked it up to him not wanting to be showy about your relationship, but you later realized he simply didn’t want to take the chance of you getting away.
His tendencies are rarely ever noticed by others ((probably due to his top-notch acting skills)), but whenever someone calls him out on his behavior, he shrugs them off, claiming he’s just getting too into a role like usual; and that’s what it is to him essentially – he’s playing the role of your boyfriend.
Azuma Yukishiro
Hooooo boy. This boy has abandonment issues that run deep. You bet your ass that it translates to his romantic relationships.
And can you blame him? When he opened up to you about his past, you told him that you would never abandon him. He’s just helping you keep your promise. And when it seems like you’re going to break your promise? He has a lot of baggage that will be placed on you at every available opportunity, whether to guilt you into staying with him or to justify his actions.
He’s fully aware of his behavior and doesn’t care – he hates it when you don’t give him enough attention.
He’s very affectionate, which wouldn’t be out of the norm, given his personality, but he makes it a point to mark you with hickeys for everyone to see. He gets mad when you attempt to cover them up and punishes you with even more aggressive marks.
He loves feeling you in his arms and gets so cuddly that he will outright refuse to let go of you, going to lengths so that you can’t leave the bed. He can and will tie you up if needed.
If he wakes up without you in his arms he has a full-on freakout, not resting until he finds you.
He’s a big tease. He lives to see your cheeks turn a beautiful shade of red! But if someone else would cause that reaction? Oh no, no, no, this won’t do. Due to his unique profession, Azuma has many many contacts for him to use at his disposal. Interpret that as you will.
Same thing goes if you manage to get away. He has contacts all over; finding you again would be a cinch.
It’s because of this that he’s quite lenient with your freedom. He always knows what you’re doing, with who, and where.
Of course, if you go what he deems as too far, you have to face the consequences once you’re back in his arms.
Hisoka Mikage
When you first started your relationships you were pretty lenient with his acts; he’s experiencing memory loss, surely he’s allowed a few quirks?
In the back of his mind he knows his feelings aren’t exactly normal but he’s grown so reliant on you – you’re one of the few people that accept him despite his hazy past.
A very clingy boy. Very touch-starved. Since he’s unfamiliar with his past, he has few other people that he can hang out with freely. When he’s with you, everything just fades away.
Sleeps much better with you despite the fact that he looks tired all the time.
If he wakes up without you anywhere within the vicinity, he is livid, and will absolutely not rest until he finds you. Wrangles the rest of his troupe into helping him find you.
You literally cannot go anywhere without him. Mornings are always spent trying to get the both of you out of bed. Staying up, pulling an all-nighter? He’s snoozing away on your lap. Going to the grocery? He can multitask. Glomps you from behind, walking with you as he rests his head on your shoulder.
Is possessive on a regular basis but if someone dares to sleep on your lap? His exclusive pillow? That just won’t do.
When he sleeps in your lap, you forget the situation momentarily as he murmurs his love for you in his sleep. You can’t help but run your fingers through his hair.
Homare Arisugawa
What makes you so precious to him is that you make him feel less like a cyborg.
He’s not sure about what’s happening at the beginning. He loves spending time with you and is sad when you leave. He’s confused by the intense rage he feels when someone else takes up your time. When he finally starts to get a grasp of the situation, well… this is the first time he’s able to understand his emotions and he’ll be damned if he’ll let anyone take that – you – away from him.
Much like his normal personality, he is definitely the eccentric type.
He is very good at hiding his obsessive and possessive tendencies behind his typical unusual behavior, but if you review things meticulously, it’s obvious that some things just seem too off.
You are his muse. He wants everyone to know it. The guys at the dorm aren’t going to hear the end of it.
He can and most certainly will brag about how he managed to woo you. He wants to show you off but make sure that no one gets too close or gets any ideas about you. You are his perfect muse, after all, so if you did something wrong, it wasn’t your fault – it must have been caused by some outside force that he needs to take care of.
There will be times when he just barges into your room, a new poem at ready. There is no stopping him.
Sanguine euphoria. Swear to love only me. It was only phantasmagoria. That wasn’t really blood that you had seen. Don’t look at anyone else. I will only look at you, So only look at me, okay? Your heart belongs to me, and only me. You’re absolutely mine.
No one believes you about his tendencies. They brush it off as him being his eccentric self, and if it’s so bad, why don’t you just break up with him? No one would blame you – his quirks can be a bit much at times.
If only it were that simple.

Unpopular opinion: I didn’t like the Chimera Ant arc from Hunter x Hunter (anime).
There were a lot of boring almost filler episodes between the action.
It took forever for the King to actually appear and when he did he mostly spent his time playing a board game.
Worst of all, I felt the whole time as if they were telling me the story instead of showing it to me. Hunter x Hunter has always used a narrator, but during this arc they went way overboard. The narrator was present for most of each episode explaining what was happening. It was just so lazy. Like, I have a brain, let me use it!
Lastly, it made me dislike Gon even more. Ever since his fight with Razor I wasn’t able to forget how selfish and prideful Gon is. And it pisses me off since he portrays himself as a selfless ball of sunshine when in reality he is not. He always just thinks only of himself and what he wants. When they graduated from the Hunter Exam, he couldn’t get over the fact that Hisoka helped him pass when he himself was the reason Leorio and Kurapika passed (he helped them during the 1th, 2nd and 4th trials). Then, even though it resulted to be the right choice, he refuses working with the other hunters during the greed island exam because he wants to do it himself. At the time, I let it go thinking he’s just an naive 12 year old boy and unaware of how prideful and selfish he is acting. But then, Gon admits he knows he is gravely hurting Killua during the dodgeball game. This selfish little bastard actually cares more about winning a stupid game than his best friend’s well being! From them on, I was no longer fooled by his innocent act. And during the chimera ant, Gon gets even more selfish and prideful. He actually puts the life of others in danger in order to get what he wants! Gon was never my favorite. I always liked Kurapika and Killua a lot more than him. However, I never hated him until this arc. This arc destroyed his character for me! Especially, since there were no repercussions with his turn to the dark side! Killua puts his life and that of Alluka in danger to save him and the dude just acts like a ball of sunshine once again. His whinning during the apology felt so insincere and I believe with every fiber of my being that he would do everything exactly the same. Instead of using this opportunity to make the character grow, the author just glossed over his actions as if there were no consequences. Just because he appears to be a ball of sunshine, it doen’t mean that he can get away with everything. Otherwise, why the hell would audiences keep coming back if the MC will never actually develops into something more?
Ps. This is obviously my opinion so don’t attack me for it. If you enjoyed the arc, I’m glad you did. Honestly, I wished I could say the same. I am never glad to dislike something I’ve been looking forward to, especially when it’s the creative work of another person.

For the salty ask list - 11, 22?
oh YES let’s be salty. thank you SO much for the ask, anon!!!!
11. Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?
I’ll just say it. Hisoka! I’m so sorry! I love Hisoka! Now, granted, this does not mean I like him, or I don’t think he’s weird or creepy. I know he makes a lot of people super uncomfortable for a lot of really valid reasons! But as a bizarre, feral little man? Can’t get enough of him. Peak chaotic neutral.
Also, narratively, I think he’s really interesting? Because I think (I hope?) Hunter x Hunter is going to dive into its themes about hunting and what is lost or missed or found on the hunter’s journey. I think Hisoka represents a cautionary tale for the younger characters to see what that obsessive hunt for the next thing can do to a person. idk if I’m explaining this well?? Lmk I don’t wanna soapbox my Thesis About HxH Themes all over your ask anon.
22. Popular character you hate?
I have spent like 10 minutes staring blankly at my screen over this question???? I really can’t think of anyone!!! All the characters I hate everyone else hates, too??? I guess Mineta from My Hero Academia, the creepy lil bastard. And Kirito from Sword Art Online? But that’s it.
