In today's annual episode of
Matt's Guide to Rat Bastards
Three wondrous materials, arcanium, black iron and delirium!
Arcanium is a metal which can grow from a metallic ore if subject to powerful arcane energies. Usually it can be found in naturally magical places (near some natural arcane "batteries" like big crystal growths or fairy settlements) but it can grow once if a burst of magic happens (for example, if mages fought in a big battle, the battlefield is ought to have some of arcanium underground). Arcanium is a light blue metal which is easy to work with and it amplifies ones psychic potential if in direct contact. However prolonged contact with arcanium is physically and mentally draining and an untrained person can suffer serious damage. For its qualities mages use arcanium to empower their spells or as a material for various magical contraptions.
Rarely when a metallic ore is to be converted to arcanium it is converted to a black iron instead under unknown circumstances. Black iron is a heavy metal of a black hue which is hard to work with, but it's very sturdy and it seemingly repels any magic near itself. Unlike arcanium, black iron is exceedingly rare and remains not studied properly.
If there was enough arcane energies to cause an arcanium conversion but there's no ores in the ground, delirium is created instead. Delirium is a sand-like material of blue to purple colours which also glows faintly when left untouched or brightly if agitated. Delirium seems to give people a sense of unease and anxiety just by being in a close vicinity and a physical contact with it can induce a panic attack or a mental breakdown. It still has the psychic amplifying trait so it can be used (although highly not recommended) as a wizard berserk enhancing drug. Delirium can be smelted like regular sand into a glas which would shine and sparkle blue to purple colours but due to its pernicious quality it isn't usually used in glassmaking.

Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II
God damn the solos on this thing 😭 holy shit guys I’m so glad I got over my weird thing about power metal because this album absolutely fucks. The vocals, now that I can appreciate them, are so rad and perfectly performed. He’s just singing his ass off about all of these absolutely epic fantasy situations. The whole thing feels like an 80’s fantasy adventure but with absolutely insane heavy metal composition just dialed up to 1000. Cannot recommend enough!

The other version of the “Hey so I have a friend” post. Like I said hes a small creator who does metal covers and original music. I was hoping that a slightly wider audience might help a little. I dont have the biggest following, so anyone who reblogs to help it get further is appreciated

Into the night the moon shine was bright I walked on to the stones of old Where druids once sang and dark leaves now hang My mood was fearless and bold
Circle of the Sun Lives of men undone
Who was to say what words I should pray There in the circle of stone And the Cromlech was dark and silent And the circle I entered alone
And there, possessed by visions Of a journey to the past Dreams so real they made me feel Into a world of yore I had been cast
Times of peace and war To live forevermore
Seasons changing fast On a journey to the past Following my way As I walk on night and day
Oh… oh…
Stone of Crom whose dark gaping holes Now vacant, black secrets hide They murmur atavistic tales and myths Of death heads that lay inside
Priests now gone were all around And acknowledged my presence there Ancient men who ruled back when True magic was everywhere
Times of peace and war To live forevermore
One day I shall rest Upon this world so vast Ever shall I stay And never be away
Oh… oh…
Silent Ancient priests Hold forth Staves ablaze
Birth and death Dying breath Dying nights Dying days
Gazing at the sky Until the day I die Following my way As I walk on night and day
Oh… oh…

FACT: People make resin die.
FACT: Some craftsmen, NOT ALL OF THEM, some craftsmen are just people in their basement putting resin into moulds and selling those babies online with the care and precision of a whiskey licked blacksmith in the wild west.
FACT: It's not unlikely for a lot of those dice to be incorrectly filled, uneven or Weighted.
FACT: If I was to buy a whole bunch of these die with many of them being weighted, some of them would be weighted to low numbers and some to high.
FACT: It is reasonable and likely for me to gravitate towards the die that give me High Numbers and go "oh these are my special dice" "oh this one is blessed by the goddess" and to remove low rolling dice from my line up.
FACT: This is not a phenomenon that occurs as often with metal die.
FACT: If I was a player who staunchly defended my metal dice while everyone else at the table used resin or fanmade dice, if I was a player who stood by my dice through thick or thin, refusing to switch dice out from my roster, if I was a player who had Publicly claimed my loyalty to metal dice on many occasions, I would statistically roll worse.
FACT: Brian Murphy does not have just as good a chance as rolling as any of you.

After half year of waiting finally it is here, the first single from Angus Mcsix
Starting from the song itself, it is a banger, gets you in a good mood and has energy as expected but it is not mindblowing. The beginning feels a bit weird, mainly the first 2 seconds then the rest of the song goes very well. The transition from verse to chorus is great with the silence where the phrase "one better" fits just right.
The main voice feels a bit buried behind in the mix (at least that is my impression) being compared to the "woo ooh" chorus that has much presence. Another thing about the voice is that seems it has some sort of effect making it feel a bit distorted, even robotic, that as the song progresses this effect gets heavier. (if I have to theorize about this maybe it could mean that at that point Angus is not a human anymore thus why the distortion on the voice)
The cheering at the end, just throws me off everytime, doesn't feel right, even in the video feels out of place.
Regarding the lyrics, it has a very focus on the rhyme which fits perfectly for the cheesiness and continues the story of Angus XIII.
The video is totally what I expected it to be, over the top epic. Would have liked to see more of the other musicians but I get the song mainly focuses on Angus and the video just follows him gathering the heroes.
Overall, a fun and catchy song.
