It’s been a little bit since I’ve posted anything. The last couple weeks have been really rough. Last Wednesday I started cycle 9, round 1, my overall 17th chemo infusion, and it kicked my ass so much that I woke up in a whole new year 😂. I started getting a fever on Friday and basically went to bed and woke up at some point on Monday feeling a bit better, and then felt a lot better yesterday, just in time for another round of chemo today. It’s hard to spend the days between chemo feeling so crummy and missing out on so much to finally start feeling normal just in time for another round. Today was round 2 of cycle 19 and my 18th overall chemo infusion. I’m really hoping this one doesn’t hit as hard as the last one, but honestly, it probably will. This is hard treatment and, unfortunately, I have a lot of things going against me in this fight. But what I focus on is that the chemo is working, the cancer isn’t spreading, and my body is tolerating it well enough to keep on going. My only plan for this year is to live and enjoy life as much as I can because that’s all I have control over right now, even that is somewhat controlled by cancer’s side effects, but I’m excited for what I have planned so far for this new year and hope to have some more energy for art posts soon! OMNICOFFEE Looking for new Coffee establishments to review, my best friend Da Vid and I ended up at: Gramma Ginna's Deli & Co. I of course requested my normal #whitechocolatemochablendedwithwhippedcream DELICIOUSOSO!!!! And like clockwork Da Vid ordered his normal #blackcoffee (Pictures) •White Chocolate Mocha with whipped cream •Wild Berry 🥪. It's not on the menu but Nuts, turkey, cheese & lettuce. Besides coffee, you can get salads 🥗, sandwiches, combo meals, and even head-size cookies. They even have a #kids menu and you can be sure I will try that out too 🤭🤭🤭 The staff was AMAZING, professional, and a pleasure to be around. Hey! More about the fm protests. So, how the local news is characterizing the situation is a little fucking disgusting, to put it very charitably. First of all, they keep emphasizing that the police gave two orders to disperse, and acting like that vindicated any of their actions but like???? What is a protest about police brutality if you just go home when they tell you to? And then they were talking about how all the meaning behind the protests were lost when they became violent (read, a few water bottles got thrown, and some people stood in front of cars. Maybe a broken window or something too, they weren't clear) but like, peaceful protests work because they imply the threat of violence, or because they force more people to recognize the issue? And this shit has been protested against for some time and shit hasn't changed so like- what are we supposed to do? And they actively deny that tear gas, and those pepper plastic bullet guns have been used, so like. Thought I'd let yall know.

When in Fargo, North Dakota, be sure to stop by the Fargo-Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau to get your picture taken with the infamous woodchipper from Fargo, the movie.

My family did just that last week while in town for the Twins Winter Caravan. Ten-year-old Joanie, who has not seen the film and thinks the woodchipper is “creepy,” did not want to be in the photo.

She had a hard time, however, saying “no” to the friendly lady at the visitors bureau who offered us bomber hats as photo props and said she’d be delighted to take our picture. 

The foot sticking out of the woodchipper was even decked out in a red sock with white hearts in honor of Valentine’s Day!

Fargo is such a great movie, especially when watching it with my husband, Jesse, and my mom. We laugh until we cry! Jesse even nicknamed my mom “Super Lady.” (See clip below...)

Just off I-94, the Fargo woodchipper sits ready and waiting for a photo op. The friendly travel ambassadors will give you a trapper hat (those winter hats with ear flaps that are worn in the movie) and take your picture as you pretend to push a fake leg into the Fargo “chipper.”

Beyond getting a picture with the woodchipper from Fargo, which is signed by the Coen brothers, you can also see other memorabilia from the movie, including a signed copy of the original script.”

Day 11 Inktober - I know, it’s day 25, but at this point I’m just having fun doing the different prompts when I am feeling up for it and have time and energy. Also, I saw them earlier today getting super decked out in riot gear and shit at like 5.
