INDIANA JONES & The Tomb of the Gods (SNES, Unreleased)
It had been 5 years since the last Indiana Jones movie came out, but the interest for a good video game was still there. In 1995, Factor 5 (Indiana Jones' Greaest Adventures, Super Star Wars) and LucasArts (Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis, Monkey Island) came together for Tomb of the Gods, a point & click action platformer. The apparent idea from recovered screenshots was that the gameplay would switch according to what was happening in the story.

The game was set to have an original story written by Hal Barwood and Rob Williams. After meeting with a former colleague, in New York, Indy is lured again into a globetrotting race against the Nazi's. However, in the search for the Tomb of the Gods, he starts feel something dark... The question now is if Indiana Jones' mind will survive the adventure?

It seemed the plot took some major inspirations from the works of H.P. Lovecraft in this horror themed adventure for the Archeologist. While it never quite got off the ground, Rob Williams did repurpose this plot in 2008 for the Dark Horse Comic of the same name.

Myst: I saw it running on a demo computer at like Computer City or some place that doesn’t exist anymore and I was transfixed by this whole world inside a computer. I got it for Christmas and played so many hours of it. I still replay it every so often.
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis: I played this before I ever actually saw an Indy movie because we got some big Lucasarts box pack of like 6 games, and I put it in because why not? I loved the puzzles, the characters were fun, and when I eventually did see the movies I felt like I was already familiar with the world and lore and that was neat.
Pokémon Yellow: I got this with my first Game Boy and it was so exciting to have essentially a tiny console I didn’t have to a) use the family tv to play and b) share with my brother. I loved the game immediately and spent hours and hours playing post-game because for a long time it was the only game I had. I’ve played every gen since. I adore Pokémon and the little pocket world it was for me.
The Journeyman Project Turbo: This came with my family’s first computer and I think I actually played this prior to discovering Myst existed. Anyway, it’s a time travel point and click game and the world was intriguing, the 3D rendered environments were cool if a bit simple and 90s-esque (because it was the 90s) and it made kid me obsessed with time travel stories for a while.
Rollercoaster Tycoon: Some odd years prior a friend gave me a disk for Coaster, a totally different DOS game which appealed to me because you could build and then simulate rollercoasters. It did not run well. Years later we got RCT and like everybody else, I was hooked. The graphics were so charming, and while I wanted the simulation part too, I didn’t mind it not being in the game because the rest was so good. I’ve picked up Planet Coaster these days and it’s kind of the best of both worlds, although I miss the slight silliness of RCT.

So in Atlantis, there's an area called the Tinia archive, and in it is...i suppose a 'note' by Hades that is quite new.
'Ros... can't be dead. That dog was the last thing my queen and I truly shared. Oh, Ros. You were most loyal to her but... I loved you, too. How dare the Keeper value human life over yours?
But I have no time to mourn. It's time to face your killer. And I'll be hanged if she sees me cry.'
So like... I feel really bad now. Hades was literally keeping himself from crying over Kassandra killing his dog.
