But when it’s you? He lets you mess with his projects all you want, even if it makes him a bit nervous. He’ll give you a dorky smile and say, “Just don’t break it, okay?” But secretly, he loves sharing his passions with you.

Nerd!Anakin who, as smart as he is with machines, is absolutely terrible in the kitchen. He’ll try to make you dinner as a sweet surprise, but something always goes wrong—he burns the food, the recipe doesn’t turn out, or the kitchen ends up looking like a disaster zone.

He’ll stand there, looking embarrassed but hopeful, holding a burnt dish with a lopsided grin. “Uh, it’s a little... crispy..”

Jade desperately googling and reading threads about mer x human pregnancies before he even dates yuu.

It differs from species to species, usually fem mer x male human results in viable pregnancies, there are a two articles about eels and humans, but none about morays.

His hope is dwindling, and the general consensus about deep sea folk relationships with humans isn't very good.

I HC that male mer x female human pregnancies don't last very long. After the sperm makes contact with an egg, it'll need a few months of growth before it's expelled from the body and put into the sea. Those kinds of couples usually have one child at a time, it depends on the number of available eggs.

Modern day people in twst have aquariums that are made to hold the clutches in a safe environment away from predators. The aquariums can be used both underwater and on land. After 'hatching' the babies are translucent, they are kept in the aquariums until they gain colour. Once they have enough colour they are let out.

The smallest aquariums need to hold at least one human adult, so that a parent can interact and communicate with their clutch during the growing process.

I think I read a post/fic with a similar headcannon to this? Long long ago, perhaps even before I even downloaded Twisted Wonderland. I don't fully remember... but it is something I have been thinking about a decent bit ever since you sent this ask because it raises so many questions.

I think it makes the most sense in human x mer relationships for one or the other to take a transformation potion and move onto the land/into the sea. In these cases pregnancy/egg laying would go as it would "normally" but what you're suggesting made me think about what would happen if a couple got it on raw in their normal forms and not transformed. Would that result in a viable pregnancy? If it did would it produce the sorts of offspring you are suggesting or would it result in some sort of hybrid child, barely held together by their own magic?

The aquariums are a good idea, the story seems to suggest that Jade and Floyd had other siblings once but they didn't make it. Their mother's obsession with checking up on them and teaching self defense makes a lot of sense if you think of that... she lost most of her babies, she wants the two she has to remain safe (i bet she's going feral rn, let Mama Leech into the enclosure S.T.Y.X. she'll put Malleus in his place ٩(๑`^´๑)۶) My question is whether or not that would interfere with the development of the eggs, especially on land. The deep ocean is very cold, recreating that on land could be problematic. With how few merfolk seem to bother with land (Azul mentions not many people bother with the free program in Book 6) there likely wouldn't be much of anyone thinking up a solution to this problem so few people have.

But Jade has that problem. Or will, he's sure of it but that's a minor detail- point is this is a problem he's actively thinking about. It keeps him awake at night, Jade strikes me as someone who would do a lot of research about this. It's part of how he loves, pouring through a pile of scientific articles that was slim to begin with but feel irrelevant now. None of these help him understand his chances because he is from the deep sea, Jade might be hardened towards the death of his siblings but he thinks of his own children and a rage unlike any he's ever known begins to stir in the pit of his stomach. Later, much later when he is explaining this all to you he will brush it off as him considering your human sensibilities, but the truth is written plain on his face. This little aquarium he has made was a solution painstakingly crafted with help from his own obsessions. It's the most important terrarium he has ever made because it will contain the most precious of all life forms, ones he watches grow in awe as he coos softly. These children were wanted long before they were ever born, their parents loved them to the point of invention and every second up until they hatch and forever after.

Snapping turtle- he/him, seawing, regarded as an odd seawing for his short snout and duller colors. Overall intelligent, grumpy, but also has a urge to find justice.

Argile- he/they, mudwing animus, a laid back leader his eye is focused on protecting his fellow mudwings. Overall strong leadership, charming, but a bit too laid back (especially when it comes to protecting fellow talons of peace)

Mouse- he/they, skywing ex talon of peace. A short and lanky skywing he tries his best to speak confidently bit often gets a jittery. Overall secretive, nervous, and cowardly

Sirius was lounging on the sofa in the sitting room, a plaid blanket spread over his legs to guard against the autumn chill. A leatherbound book was open on his lap, and a crystal tumbler was dangling casually from his hand.

A smile appeared on his face as he took in Ginny following Harry through the doorway. His eyes widened as they settled on the spot where her hand was joined with Harry's.

“Oh,” his grin morphed into something mischievous. “Has it finally happened?”

“Has what finally happened?” Harry’s eyes followed Sirius’s gaze to their clutched hands and widened similarly. His fingers disentangled from Ginny's at once. “That's not – I don't – we were just –”

Sirius's bark-like laugh filled the sitting room. Ginny forced the corners of her mouth into a smile, ignoring the pang of longing at the loss of contact.

“It's nothing,” she said, more for her benefit than anyone else's. She'd learnt a long time ago not to look for signs of Harry's affection where they didn't exist.

“Of course,” Sirius said doubtfully. Ginny didn't allow her smile to drop; she had long suspected Sirius knew about her feelings for Harry, she was relying on his goodwill not to spell them out to his blissfully oblivious Godson. “Shouldn't you be at a notorious Halloween party right now? Ginny, you're certainly dressed for the occasion.”

“We should,” she agreed, trying not to think about how ridiculous she looked with her cat ears and her whiskers. “But there’s been a situation… Harry has something he needs to…”

She trailed off, turning expectantly to Harry but he seemed to have lost his words again now he was actually confronted with Sirius.

“Harry?” Sirius’ smug grin disappeared, replaced by a look of concern for Harry's mute state. He placed the tumbler on the coffee table, sitting forward seriously. “Is everything alright?”

“No,” Harry said bluntly. He walked further into the living room, practically collapsing into the armchair beside the wood-carved fireplace.

Ginny remained hovering by the door, suddenly aware she was intruding on a private family moment. She took a step back towards the doorway. “Maybe I should wait in the kitchen –”

“No,” Harry said again. He inclined his head towards the free armchair beside his. “You should stay.”

Her hesitation lasted only another moment in the face of Harry’s solemn expression. Silently, she nodded and stepped forward, sensing both Sirius and Harry's eyes on her as she walked to the chair.

“What's going on?” Sirius asked, frown still in place as his eyes darted between Harry and Ginny.

Harry cleared his throat nervously. “We need to talk about my mum.”

“Your mum?” Sirius’ frown deepened. “What about your mum?”

“Was she a witch?”

The question hung heavily in the air between the three of them.

Ginny held her breath, watching Sirius for any hint of a reaction. She didn't know what she expected, probably for him to laugh, to tell them they’d lost their minds. Definitely for him to look at least mildly surprised by such a question. She certainly had not expected his expression of defeated resignation.

Neither had Harry, judging by the flinch of betrayal that flitted across his face. Ginny felt it reverberate through her chest; it took all of her willpower to remain seated rather than embarrassing herself by crossing the room and wrapping her arms around him.

“Where did you hear that?” Sirius asked, shattering the fragile tension that had settled over the room.

“From Bathilda Bagshot,” Harry answered, his face hardening with every word. “Is it true?”

“I wasn't aware you knew Bathilda Bagshot,” Sirius said conversationally.

“Yeah, well it looks like we’re all unaware of some critical information, doesn’t it?”

In my Mcd rewrite, Emmalyn knows how to fight both physically and verbally. Donna taught her basic martial arts when they met after Emmalyn left the church of Irena. Emmalyn wins at a lot fistfights; usually against priests and priestesses. Emmalyn also uses her foldable fan as a weapon.

Which animatronics would try to attack swap!cassie and would the iconic game events (such as the big music man chase scene) play out similarly? Would there be any additional endings?

Oooo, this is an interesting ask!!

Which animatronics would try to attack Swap!Cassie? All of the usual ones, with the addition of Glam. Bon & Glam. Freddy, since they are also under the control of the virus.

The only one who fully wouldn’t be able to attack is Glam. Chica, as, mentioned in other post, is the one missing/destroyed instead of a certain rabbit.

Would the iconic game events play out similarly? You mentioned DJ Music Man specifically, so I’ll just talk about that, unless you’re wondering about another part of the game.

In the actual game, Glam. Fred can’t accompany you in the DJMM section because of his glitch, right? Well... neither Swap!Vanny or Swap!Glitchtrap would have a problem like that.

So, in the DJMM section, Swap!Glitchtrap and/or Swap!Vanny would be able to freely accompany you, and definitely into a bunch of other areas, too.

How much would the gameplay differ from Security Breach? Well... decommissioning the animatronics, from the original, could still be a part of it... but more accidental. If anything, Cassie would want to help them.

Upgrades wouldn’t happen either—so even less of a reason (game-play wise) to decommission and collect the three’s parts. Swap!Vanny’s human, and wouldn’t need those—and while Swap!Glitchtrap is physical, he’s not an animatronic.

As for additional endings... I’m not too certain—though, unfortunately, I do think that the Princess Quest ending would be removed/doesn’t really happen in the AU.

It’s kind of because I have Swap!Vanny, and I just haven’t gotten a replacement to take her original place... like a Reluctant Follower Jeremy. I’ve thought about it, but I don’t want to add one.

So... only one villain in the Plex, putting the virus into animatronics, etc—and he doesn’t have a Reluctant Follower joining him in the process.

The other remaining endings would play out a bit differently, given its a Swap, but would still be relatively the same. Example: The Disassemble Ending.

In the actual game, it happens to Glam. Fred. Here, it would specifically happen to Glitchtrap, etc.

I think there still could be additional endings, I just haven’t thought of what they would involve/be.

She's so shy that she has to use her finger to talk to people

She's actually a bit more tan than the rest of the characters making her stand out from that alone

The manga makes it clear that the animal associated with her would be a rabbit/bunny

She's incredibly shy around new people but enjoys people like emilico who are very outgoing and who can stand up for her

She doesn't like being a burden to other people around her (pretty sure a lot of us can relate to that)

I really do think that if mistress Shirley survived the debut she would have been a lot like Emilico just holding on to Rum hugging her and squeezing her face as rum lets people do that to her

She's totally touch starved

When I went back and looked through the manga I noticed that I wasn't the only person who thought Rum was too precious to hurt, it seems like a lot of other characters know to be gentle with her

For context about the scenes

Emilico pets Rum's hair in order to comfort her about her feelings about mistress Shirley and whether or not she deserves to save her during the debut

We never get to see this in the anime, but in the manga it's revealed that when Emilico and Rum first found the hut that had the orange tree in it rum was holding on to her dress the whole time and Emilico didn't seem to mind (it wouldn't surprise me if she told rum that it was okay for her to do that)

(Serious spoilers) During the chapter when they first meet Emilico, Shawn says close to the end of it that "the five of them will become close friends once they enter the house", and when he says that we see Lou putting her hand on Rum's back in a very gentle way as if to support her

(Serious spoilers) The last scene has Patrick patting Rum on the head as she looks like she's about to cry. Why let's just say him, Rum and Ricky were all yelled at by a mean Shadow causing them all to fly back in a cute anime style he pet her head in order to comfort her

And it's not just them being gentle with her it turns out many people also recognize her skills and compliment her for it

(seems like my head Cannon about her becoming friends with the future debut members was actually true I mean look at Matilda asking her to become friends with her that's the sweetest thing ever)

I think these scene speak for themselves

But my favorite part about all of this is her relationship with Emilico as the manga reveals in future chapters that the reason why Rum even has a bow on her finger to begin with is because of her

(Once again A Major spoilers but mostly for these two) for context, the name Rum and Rummy in the show come from a subconscious memory Rum has of her little toy bunny that she had back when she was in the village, the reason why she calls herself a Rum is because it comes from her old toys name… an old toy that just so happened to have a bow on its ear… the same bow that she now wears when we first met her, all the way up to the end of the debut. The lavender bow on Shirley's finger actually belonged to Rum before she entered the house (which explain the color she was given when she did enter the house)

This is one of the many reasons why I really love Rum, she is just a sweetheart of a character that just screams "MUST PROTECT!". I have a lot more head cannons for her than I do a Emilico or anybody else of this show, and I think it's because of the hidden potential they have with a character like her. They took full advantage of it and one of the earlier scenes and I hope they continue to do that. She's an underrated character with the most amount of potential for growth

After all, a little asura in a human world is a novelty in that way of life. The constant scrutiny, being treated as an oddity or a novelty, truly did a number on them growing up, leaving her incredibly shy and terribly socially anxious.

All the more surprising when they manage to save the day during the Battle of Shaemoor, catching the attention of Captain Logan Thackeray.

The least likely person to become commander then finds herself commander, struggling to find their place in a frightening world, and learning the terrible truth to how she wound up raised by a family of devout human nobles int he first place...

I don't really have much patience for this so sharing these through screenshots. This is Shayde (or by her real name: Merlette); a ghostly nightmarish thingamajig that might as well give some lore importance within Rayman: CoD.

Before her demise, she was the Meadow's "heroine" long before Ashlen was created. She is also her long lost sister as she was also created by Willow. Both Willow and the Meadow once being different before Andre's uprising. Speaking of which, Andre was considered to be her trusted friend once upon a time because she took him under her care once transformed, as she always have the soft spot for small creatures, no matter any shape or form. This would prove to be fatal in her part as Andre manipulated her into achieving him power through her powers. Once she tried to undo her mistake, Andre simply disposed of her once and for all, leaving her fate to be in ruin.

However, the limbless isn't completely gone.. but never once as she used to be.

"Beast" Design under cut!! Small warning for (potential) brightness and body horror. I promise it's nothing too bad though.

She is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS in this form, even if it is rare.

But in case you can't read the text: "Beast" Shayde is approximately over 7' with her body being more molten and distorted, as cracks become more prominent and brighter. She is able to generate large wings and loud shrieks that can disorientate others within the area.

If he was more like Erik, Charles, or some mix of both that would have him flopping back of forth towards where he would fit best.
