teehee silly oc art :3c I had an idea so i wanted to try drawing it even though I felt incapable oof but it turned out way better than i expected!!! I'm having fun slowly rewriting these characters story. I guess its ending up being sadder than I initially made it back in 2015..

it's kind of a fun move to make my very very personal blog also the one I post my drawings on

ive purposefully done it to not create that kind of environment where it's just an account posting art, a one-dimensional abstract thing that's so detached that if I were to post something like 'teehee I tried to off myself so I'm opening comms to pay the bills' it'd be met with utmost surprise bc it'd break the illusion yknow?

but sometimes I do want some drawings to not have context. to be as impersonal as a vintage figure whose sculptor has never been fully known or a golden locket with the picture of someone who you don't know anything about

I want both, to be honest. it's always been a struggle of the need of external validation but also to not want to taint everything with myself

I want to draw a pet portrait for someone and not have it be judged with all the ramblings and half-jokes about how everything sucks every now and then.

I want to draw a guy being mechanically separated for no reason and not have it show up besides someone's pet portrait and having to explain to the average person I don't even know why I like gore so much besides rendering it is fun

it's all like a cycle of making it clear who is behind the art for context but also sometimes wanting everything to speak for itself and wanting a sort of pure reaction to it

and it culminates into that overly familiar feeling.. of wanting to be consistent. to have a feel, a look that you can maybe hope someone will identify as yours.. and the question is always the same - for what? why? why does it matter?

if anything the first thing I'd ever say to someone who remotely showed interest in art and wanted to know my side of it is that nothing matters and everything is subjective and that there will always be people who see too much meaning where there isn't and people who miss the point entirely. and that diversity is just as good as quality and not a binary switch that you have to pick for the rest of your life. and that often by trying to achieve perfection you just end up dumping what gave your art a personal touch because it wasn't absolutely on par with the version of you that you so desperately want people to identify you with or the vibe you want to give off or whatever else

it's kind of a problem that also has different connotations depending on the way wherever you post works, too

on devart and I think insta too favorites and likes are the easiest way to show a kind of support that happens to streamline everything into images on a page instead of actually taking in most detail, the title or description or lack thereof, maybe even a message or line or music lyric intended to aid in the perception.. that ends up getting completely ignored because it takes extra effort to do. and it gets exponentially worse the more people you follow

then, well.. tumblr. because of the way the posts are organized and at least show captions it has a bit of a leg up, but then the sideblog stuff comes up. posts 95% of the time only give traction to the account that posted it, so a sideblog where you reblog your art is pretty much just a gallery for the convenience of whoever follows them. if you post on that sideblog however, then that facilitates no one visiting your main and just looking at the drawings, leading to the art-artist detachment as it is also plenty of extra steps and effort

then, independently, the path you choose is hard to undo. choose to be unknown and be bound to the façade you have to keep and not break your persona, or put all bits of yourself out to the public and there will forever be an image/ background version of you that will contextualize everything you do

try to turn around and choose to hide and it will put people off and affect how some will look at your new stuff now that you're less of a social butterfly because of the instinct of curiosity and wanting to know what happened , choose to show yourself and now you're too real and people don't want to associate with you because of the things you express or how it hits different knowing x and y or just not caring about you enough to be bothered to keep up with your life with sporadic drawings inbetween

it's all ironically about your own self-image and knowing others who know you

oh and it just hit me the financial side of things too. but that's too much for me rn and it's sort of a bonus to my point anyways

What do you think the girls would do in college? And how do you think they would look like?

well @heartbeatbookclub had a similar ask a while back and honestly i kind if agree with most things he mentioned. im gonna give a quick rundown of my headcanons but they are probably pretty similar lol

monika sweetheart im sorry but you are NOT having a good college experience. She definitely chooses a really demanding major like law and then surprise! the academically challenging major is academically challenging! who would have thought. she has been used to understand the meterial first try in highschool so now that she doesnt? ohhhh boy :). it definitely doesn't help that she went to college immediately after highschool. anyway what does she do? i have no idea. id like to think she takes a break and recollects herself, but lets be honest, monika is the type of person to keep at it until she like genuinely cant take it anymore. on the bright side, im sure the others would be a great help to her during this time

sayori does not go to college immediately after highschool, and that helps her a LOT. during her gap year, she focuses more on her mental health as well as figuring out what she wants to do in the future. and i think that leads her into some kind of elementary school work. maybe during her gap year she started babysitting around the neighborhood to make some money (and also so she wouldnt be sitting in her house all day) and she figures out how much she loves working with children

yuri i think would go to college right after highschool, but not because she feels like she needs to prove herself like Monika, its more of a "uhm i guess the next step is college" type of thing. i dont think college would be as bad for yuri as highschool. i actually think that this is the time she get a bit more comfortable and confident in herself. as far as majors go, she studies something literature-writting related. she probably has a draft for a book somewhere that she refuses to mention to anyone (at first). after college she probably ends up working at some sort of library whike she maybe does some writing on the side

natsuki is NOT going to college. i just cant see her putting herself through 4-5 years of more school. idk maybe she thinks about going to culinary school? but like, in my experience most culinary schools are super expensive. plus she thinks experience is way more valuable than any sort of class. so yeah she immediately goes into working. she starts off low, maybe she finds a job helping out in some local bakery for minimum wage. the best case scenario for her is to get to the point she can open her own bakery, but if we are being realistic, opening your own business is like.. a very big risk. so idk how possible it is

Delightful Suprise

Vash stared at the sketchbook at front of him. It was strange to see it without its owner. He contemplated opening it, watching the sketchbook as if it would magically do so. You were currently out and trying to finish some last minute errands before you two would travel to the next town.

You acted like the little book was your child, often hiding it away from him when he asked to look. Vash pouted. He really wanted to see your work. The blond knew you were good at drawing as he had seen the little doodles you’ve made for the local children on restaurant napkins. His heart would sometimes flare with jealousy when this happened. He wanted something made by you too.

Vash placed his hand under his chin, contemplating on what to do. You had only been gone for about twenty minutes. It wouldn’t hurt to have a quick look, right? The blond quickly made up his mind and reached for the sketchbook.

He softly began to flip through the pages. The first several drawings were landscapes, places the two of you had previously visited. As he continued, sketches of him began to pop up. Each captured some unique shot of him. He chuckled at one of the drawings of him running like a cartoon character.

One drawing stuck out to him though. It was of him, turned towards the viewer, smiling and eyes closed. However, instead of the normal beauty mark by his eye, there was a little heart. His eyes softened. Did you feel the same way?

Vash flipped to the next page, and he felt his face become hot. He saw the glimpse of a note addressed to him. He softly closed the book and pushed it across the table. The blond felt bad for catching a brief look at something so private, but that didn’t stop his heart from swelling with joy. Vash would let you confess to him when you were ready, on your terms.

You end up giving it and he is there while you are getting tattooed

While he does like them he is also very old and is confused

Cause one time he asked you about the meaning of the tattoos and when you said “none”

For some reason he thinks tattoos need a meaning and his brain is just exploiting

So he creates his own meanings and tells you and at some point you give up

But he will softly ask you to leave it like that,dont get more ,you are already covered enough

He really dont like big ones or colourfull ones

She is the most accepting one cause she keeps up with modern world more than anyone in the Volturi

And she likes every kind of them

She wish she could get one herself and now she wish she could get a matching one with you

ren - the second smartest kid in the room, haylin's most loyal, thinks of leon like a father, thinks aleks and milo are morons, loves nari to the moon and back in a platonic way, is of the opinion that arlo should fuck right off, also thinks benedikt should get a grip, is probably the only one besides ben and haylin to not be afraid of elena, is a thorn in elias' side. he's not fond of people, he's super athletic, he will do anything for a bag of sour patch kids

benedikt - cursed. elena's favourite soldier. haylin's everything. has not known peace in about 600 years. is not a vampire but leon still calls him edward. aleks punched him once and broke his fist. ben is a tired old man, yall. but he will take care of you, i promise

aleks - youngest adams brother. the other smartest kid in the room. has a mind that is constantly on the go. he's the science bro. he's also the temperamental bro. he and milo are best friends. and best friends kiss sometimes, okay?????

milo - goofball. hyperactive. would follow haylin into hell if he had to. short king bc all the size went into his heart. has a cat called mr meowcolm. makes ren do his dirty work for a bag of sour patch kids

elias - old man. 700+ years old. is only alive bc his twin sister wont let him die. has decided he is responsible for everyone. he is the softest man alive and he will accept you and all of you and do all in his power to make sure you know you are loved. also he is fighting for his life everyday against the family curse but yknow, just another day

elena - elias' twin. final boss. only behaves bc of elias. doesnt have a heart ( literal ). she's neither good or evil but most people only see the evil. she's the auntie ethel of the game. she eats people. no, really, she does. her jaw comes loose. it's great

arlo - elena's favourite toy. he is the dark romance option. he's also v handsome. he handles being dead and trapped by elena better than anyone. he is also madly in love with haylin. he will scare you for fun. also, he is silly i just wanna bully him

- i've been thinking about bf minho lately and i just think that, ofc, he will be such a sweetheart. people think he's scary or rude but like, be for real... like we all know he's just the biggest softie in the world, he isn't fooling anyone. first of all, he's a cat person. like... who wouldn't trust him? we see the way he handles his babies with such care and love in his eyes. and we see, for certain members, he has a massive soft spot for. obviously hannie; the way he looks at him... that's pure love right there. but also felix and jeongin he is very tender and gentle with. and i strongly feel that the way he treats those member sis very simialr to the way he would treat his s/o. ofc he would be a lot more physically affectionate. i feel like once he's entered that comfortable stage with you there's like no turning back. then he's full fluff mode.

- yeah because jisung is such a smug little shit something, stealing kisses here and there. but the MINUTE you catch him off guard - perhaps when he has just gotten out of the shower, towel wrapped around his waist - and trail kisses on his back, his whole body freezes. he feels blood rush to his cheeks as he slowly starts to relax into you touch, letting you kiss wherever you want...

- why are you making me cry okay YES jeongin isn't a massive PDA person but the small things matter most. and there's nothing that gives him more butterflies than interlinking pinkies with you. there's something so gentle and even vulnerable about the act that makes his heart flutter.

- you're making me DIZZY imagine you sitting in his studio (the way every single bangchan ff starts off in) and sitting on his lap while he does his work. but he's getting frustrated and it's late at night and all he wants to do is go home and cuddle up to you and sleep. having you in his arms relaxes him way more than if he was by himself. but sometimes he will feel mischievous and lean closer, a small grin on his features as he lightly grazes his lips against the skin of your neck. he responds to your shivers by getting a bit more heated, lightly sucking on your skin as you lean in deeper... he has you right were he wants you.

- felix loves baking dates and will gladly spend the whole day trying new recipes with you and making delicious treats! but by the time you guys finished, you realise it's dark out. so, what's for dinner? all your cookies and brownies and other goods, of course! you two bask in your amazing baking skills as you cuddle up on the sofa, exhausted and filled to the brim with your own creations.

- seungmin surprises himself when he re-reads things he's written in his diary way in the past. "did you really feel that way?" he mused out loud, whilst you look over at him from the other side of the bed, smiling gently. soemtimes he would read certain entries to you out loud; the ones that aren't too personal and deep. just light-hearted ones that'll make you laugh. or ones about his feelings for you <3

- oh he ain't letting you go. and say goodbye to your lungs because they've gone too. i see chnagbin fully tackle you to the ground in a smothering hug because he hasn't seen his baby in so long?? what else is he supposed to do?? nope he's not letting you go, and so you'll just have to stay pressed up against his chest, big soft arms wrapped around you, and aggressive kisses from every single angle.

Can you do a tutorial on how your art process is done I’m about to quit on Art everything I make fucking sucks .

hey anon !! My art process is almost non existent cause i haven’t been able to stick to One definitive way and i don’t want to cause i think its limiting. I still have a long way to go for improving my skills and learning new things and figuring out different styles !!

Heres a quickk drawing showing what my “main” process is

This is something i generally have stuck to for most of my posted drawings (i can post things specific to some drawings on a separate reblog ^^ im just to lazy to get pictures of em for examples rn)

Doodle !! I cant visualize shit, and usually have a very vague idea of what id like to draw Or just nothing at all. So I doodle messily with expressive gestures till’ i find something that sticks

choose one final concept/sketch and clean it up a lil so i have a way better idea of what im getting myself into

Base colors cause i hate doing lineart. So i just go straight into colors casue its fun and i like fun!! Right on top or on a diff layer it doesnt matter. I color pick with my eyes and put base colors or anything i think it would be cool. No pressure and it can messy cause I’ll clean it up and figure shit out later

fuck around and find out (rendering ig)—> i cant explain it super well or definitively. I just layer and throw colors on top till im satisfied or Done with it. I flip my canvas a bunch or check my values to make sure the results come out to look more coherent regardless of the mess of color

Im just a simple person and cant handle something that requires too many steps or things that havta be done Just right so this works for me atm. This may not be your jam but finding a process in that works for you through trial an error is just a part of art. Do what works for you!! I think experimenting is so important even if it sucks in the end

I have so many shitty drawings and sketches and even colored things that outweigh the tiny bits of art i decide to show off

I totally get that creating art can get really discouraging at times; not getting the results you want when you want them no matter how much effort you put in just sucks, but it won’t always be that way :] even if it takes you 10 years to find your groove and see improvement or 2 years, it’ll happen. I find that i’ve only improved when i actively didn’t give a fuck about how my art looks and only cared that i was having fun through it all, and thats hard cause perfectionism is a bitch and its hard to get rid of. You could improve with studies and daily practice for sure but moving towards improvement can be as fun and light n breezy as you want to make it, like taking a break to explore different hobbies or changing up mediums or fucking around and experimenting with it can help !!! Allow ur art to be bad; cause fuck it, at least you made something and thats really really cool. Once you cut urself some slack it’ll be easier to improve upon your skillset and slowly but surely get to where you want

Maybe ur art isn’t where you want it to be rn and ik it can kill ur motivation to keep going at it (i’ve experienced this feeling a lot and im sure so have many others). But you gotta ease up on urself and stop worrying about results so you can allow yourself to experiment and have fun!! And its hard getting into that mindset but you gotta keep trying and you’ll find it getting easier

Lewis maybe finding Max on the street and bringing him in and offers him a job at the club? He’ll inform Toto about a new hire later if he has to, but he can’t let the kitty stay on the street. Max is still very young and terrified of the idea of alphas staring at him while he’s in a tiny little costume. But Lewis really wants to help so he offers him a job as his apprentice in the costume department. Max is so talented, he gets hang of it really quickly and Lewis is in awe of Max’s costume sketched (that Max definitely hides from him). Max is a skittish little kitten, always hiding from Toto in the fabric heaps or behind the dressing curtains. Everyone adores him though! Lewis has to drag him out of the studio some nights otherwise he’ll never leave.

Maybe they turn into more than just an apprenticeship? Lewis falls for the cute omega that will argue about the right type of sequin and feathers for a costume. Max who looks to pretty when he’s on his knees pinning a costume for alterations. Max who lives on Red Bull during weekends and checks that everyone’s costumes fit perfectly. Everyone teases him about being head over heels in love with the kitten omega

Plss Lewis finding Max in the street somewhere, looking so young (he is like 20-something but those big eyes just scream baby!)

Lewis offering him a job and he can stay in one of the little rooms in the club with a little bed and desk. Max is very hissy and scared at first abd doesn't trust lewis. He still looks like he is sulking and grumpy when he us working on a garment, but Lewis can hear him purr!

Max always hiding when Toto comes in even after Lewis talked to Toto about Maxy. He doesnt trust the big boss! He will eventually after many hisses and bribing ear scratches lol.

a big, unorganized rant on ai (from a human artist) 1. lack of effort and meaning ai art doesnt really have any meaning or effort to it. real artists need to put at least some effort into their art, effort that typing onto a keypad and selecting areas to edit cannot amount to. and even with minimal effort, there's still some meaning to it. a comfort character? that has meaning. maybe that character is from a show thats sentimental to the creator. an oc? how much time was put into that character's design and lore? even miniscule things can have meaning to someone. but ai? just type what you want to see and it's done. not happy? select, type again, and repeat. artists can just make what they want to see appear. if someone is up to put a lot of effort into something, (lets say an archer in the woods, for my example), this is what may happen; 1. make a sketch 2. start lineart 3. colour 4. shading 5. background 6. extra details and then, ai generative "artists" can type "archer, woods, bow and arrow, forest" until they find something they like. and then, they have the audacity to call the image they did not make "art". if someone said "i had a dream about an antro cat demon with insect limbs" and someone else drew that, who is the artist? the person who drew it. yes, the original poster made the idea, but they didnt create the result. all they made was the prompt.

for my next point, i'll be using the scream (1893) by edvard munch

the reason that the scream resonates with today's audience is because it portrays anxiety, terror, and fear. in fact, munch felt this himself[1]. will ai ever be able to feel this despair? no. it can only learn what people percieve the emotions as. it's called artificial for a reason. 2. low quality im assuming most of us know the basic concept of what lankybox is. i've never cared much, but from what i know, it's two content farmers hopping on popular trends to gain follows and views. the content lankybox makes is lazy and effortless. it's pumped out constantly, and just doesnt have anything to it other than cheap entertainment. but, ai image generators will type an idea; which takes little effort, and just adjust. it can take a few seconds up to a couple of minutes. now, i'm not doing the math, but with 12 hours on the clocks, that could be maybe hundreds of images generated in a day. annually, artists might make up to 50 pieces[2]. so, even though content farms are insulted and criticized for pumping out constant effortless videos (10 a day), ai art is considered fine because someone wrote it? someone scripted the brainrot videos too.

3. replacing jobs this is probably the most commonly talked about part of the ai controversy, but most companies say stuff like "we strive to create an ai model that will make increasingly more realistic artworks that look human!" and when artists raise concern about losing their income, they say "you wont be replaced!". yeah right. out of 2000 executives, 41% expect to employ less people thanks to ai[3]. and that's not even only about artists. this is mostly about artists but ai sucks in general.

i could write more but i dont feel like it tldr; ai replaces jobs (removing income from families), is pretty much a less worse content farm, and is incapable of doing what a human could ever do.

Anyway yes I usually make a very light sketch with my pencil so that I could erase it easily for me to retrace it but I am here to make a very important public announcement and I feel that it is my duty to inform the public on something that could be beneficial to the society.

Behold: Kneading Eraser

This fucker have multiple names; Putty eraser, gummy eraser, kneaded eraser,clay. It's going through a phase, please don't judge it, let it change name every 10 seconds.

What I need is that I want everyone to put everything down and listen to what I say: You run to the art store, Michael's, Art Friend, soup store, whatever store you get your art supply at. You ask the store clerk you want a putty eraser and if they dont give you a putty eraser, tell them they're a loser in malay (it's mak kau hijau. The more your learn folks) and then go to the next store and find a putty eraser until you get them. Its not expensive, it cost me less than 2 bucks for 1 pack of putty eraser.

Why you may ask? Well, I can assure you as someone who draws, putty eraser is much much MUCH better than a normal generic eraser.

First of all, there's no dust. When you erase a line with this boy, there wont be any rubber shit nugget clumping on the table and making a mess on your bed (i know you hate your spine too and likes to draw on bed i live in ur walls u guys better sleep with 1 eye open). I'm so serious like I have 0 eraser shavings in my house since I use a putty eraser. Please stop sleeping covered in eraser shavings.

It's also malleable. You can literally shape it to whatever shape that you want so you could erase a a tiny spot that you couldn't reach without disturbing other lines. And it works sooooo well as a stress ball or a toy. People actually knead it into animal shape. Can you shape a normal rectangle eraser into a giraffe? CAN YOU? DO YOU SEE MY POINT?

Do you suffer from loneliness? Do you need a conversation opener? Are you tired of kneading an eraser to shape it into a friend? Believe it or not, putty eraser is a great conversation starter when you dont want to start a conversation! As a personal anecdote: whenever I sketch in school, if anyone I know sees me sketching, they will always ask me what the fuck is the clay thing I use to erase my lines and then I have to explain to them what is a kneadable eraser and then whenever I demo'd the eraser, an amusing OOOOOOO will come out and they will play with my eraser for like 5 mins. Am I mad that my eraser is taken away? No because the eraser can also be s e p e r a t e d . Black magic fuckery. Please go buy a putty eraser.

Anyway for the pencil, I swear to god if you ever get this pencil, you will never use a normal mechanical pencil ever again.

The pencil I'm using is called a drafting pencil, specifically Pentel Graphgear 500. There's tons of drafting pencil in the market but just look at this one because other's are expensive and you will cry. This pencil had a plastic body but the base is made of metal so its pretty heavy. It feels v e r y c o m f o r t a b l e on the hand, like the moment you hold it, you will believe that this is how mechanical pencil suppose to be. It just fits so perfectly with the contour of you finger. The weight feels so nice on your hands and the grip is very comfortable. The pencil sleeve also doesnt budge so you don't and won't have any issue of lead breakage (unless you press your pencil really hard)

It's also very long-lasting. I have 2 of them in my pencil case. The one on the left were bought in 2021 from Muji. The one on the right were bought in 2015. It still works fine despite being 8 years old. I don't think I ever have any mechanical pencil that is long lasting like this one. This is legit one of the product that I would say would last a lifetime if you take care of it well.

You can work as a therapist for him. He tells what hes feeling and how he cant escape it and you listen.

"Hmmm have you tried getting actual professional help?" "Like this?" "Oh yeah, i forgot about that" you put away the paper you were writin on. "What did you write about me?" You smirk and show him. Its actually a lil sketch of him. "Have it pal, let it remind you how cool your cape looks!" He takes the drawing and stares at it. When he looks back up he notices that you disappeared, he makes sure to keep it.

"Mmm not a bad artist at all..."

The violator just laughes at all of this. As long as you go with the program he doesnt care what you do.
