💗As I mentioned in my last post , a good posture will make you look more confident , graceful and elegant.
🍥If your posture is poor, your muscles need to work harder to keep your upright. Some muscles will become tight and inflexible. Others will become inhibited. Poor posture can make your lungs less efficient, cause back pain and tension headaches. It can also influence your emotional state.
💗If you are sitting , your neck should be vertical , and shoulders should be relaxed. Your knees should be relaxed. However If your posture isn't great , REDESIGN your environment.
🍥If you have a good posture , you will feel and appear confident , be more energetic , boost your productivity, improved blood circulation and digestion and reduce back pain.
💗Dear peachie made a video on good posture, she said that you are not ugly , you just have a bad posture. I will summarize that video in this post .
🍥Good posture is not only beneficial for physical health but for your appearance and self - confidence too. It shows the world how you feel about yourself. It can enhance attractiveness and the aura we exude. Aura is the quality which makes you stand out in the crowd.
💗TYPES OF POOR POSTURE
(A) Foward head Posture
The head appeared to be positioned in front of the body. Working for a long time infront of the computer , having a bad posture while sitting or standing or reading a book with your head down for a long period of time. All of these can form forward head posture. This can easily cause your trapezium muscles to become larger , thickening your upper back and cause a hump on back of your neck . It can cause neck and shoulder pain too .
To know if you have forward head posture , take help from family and friends or take a picture of yourself when you are doing your usual activities. Observe the position of your ears , shoulders and waist. If these three points are not positioned in the straight line , chances are high that you are leaning forward.
(B ) Hunchback
It is caused by weak muscles in back which occur due to slouching , hunching while sitting infront of TV or carrying a heavy backpack. To know If you have a hunchback:
Stand against the wall
Look at the distance between the most concave space behind the neck and the wall
Less than 3- 5 cm is relatively mild.
If you can do this effortlessly , it means that hunchback issue is just a matter of poor habit.
Tilt your head up in order to keep it against the wall.
Spine alignment issue.
Seek professional medical advice.
( C) Rounded shoulders
Resting shoulder position that has moved forward from the body's ideal alignment . Any activity which causes to look down can cause slumped shoulders. To know you have rounded shoulders
Stand in a regular posture and let your arms hang by your side.
Thumbs are pointed in toward your body and your palms are facing backwards .
The correct position is that the thumb should be pointed forward with the palms facing to the sides of the body.
(D) PELVIC TILT
Direction that the pelvis is tilted towards in relation to the body. The common pelvic tilt is faced by the majority is anterior or posterior pelvic tilted.
To know that you have anterior pelvic tilt.
Pelvic is titled forward
Frequently seen in people who sit for prolonged periods of time or are inactive.
To know that you have posterior pelvic tilt .
Pelvic is tilted backward.
Caused by poor hip and back strength.
🍥CORRECT YOUR POSTURE
(A) Shoulder and neck area
You need to be extra mindful to correct your posture and slowly replace the poor postures with the good ones!
Keep your shoulders open. Anterior region of our elbow should position to point forward.
Elbow joint is rested at side of your waist
Anterior region of your elbow is positioned to face forward.
Forearm swings slightly while you walk.
To sit with correct posture
Fold your body forward and place your bottom to the far back of the chair.
Scoot yourself a little to the back to ensure that your bottom is touching the back of the chair .
Sit up with your back straight and your shoulders back.
Your back will be fully supported by the chair . You will be able to sit in this posture comfortably for longer hours.
( B ) Back
Keep your back straight to avoid slouching.
Head, torso and both legs lie on the same axis when viewed from the front.
Head , shoulders, pelvis and ankles should be aligned to one another.
Shoulder blades are lowered towards the center of the back , keeping your back tucked together.
Keep your chest open and contract your glutes slightly while keeping your back straight.
Keep your knees side by side .
Point your toes in the 12 o clock or 1 or 11 o clock direction.
💗BE MORE ELEGANT
Seol Hyun is known for her perfect posture. She exudes charm and confidence.
To walk elegantly:
Raise one of your feet to take first step.
Your legs form one triangle shape.
Imagine yourself walking on a straight line , you walk with keeping your knees close to each other.
Kick the other leg out forward , keep yourself walking on a straight line .
Make sure the gap between your knees is close to each other.
Put your foot infront of other and place your foot to the ground .
Ensure both legs are straightened.
The front leg is extended, while the hind leg is pinned firmly to the ground.
Raise your leg and repeat the same steps again.
To walk stairs elegantly
Keep your upper body upright .
Step on the next staircase by focusing the weight on your toes.
After the front foot is stepped on the staircase and completely straighten out , take the next step.
To walk down stairs elegantly
Don't lower your head , instead lower your eyes to check on the placement of eyes.
Make sure you keep your back straight and extend your leg that will land on the next stairwell.

“Peeta,” I murmur, blindly grappling for him across the bed through the dark winter night.
“What is it?” He immediately tosses himself onto his opposite side, coming to face me. My tone must have implied I was upset, that something was incredibly wrong in order for me to whine out his name like that.
But in reality, that could not be further from the truth. In fact, I was pretty content until a little more than a minute ago.
Until the icy wind blew through the open window and smacked me directly in the face.
“I’m cold,” I complain plainly, blinking a few times to get a clearer picture of his face.
It takes only a second for the distress to melt from his features, like butter melts into hot toast. “Of course you are,” he finally says, his eyes suddenly mirthful and his mouth twitching slightly, fighting either a smirk or a chuckle at my expense. “Come over here,” he invites gently, opening his arms to me.
I don’t hesitate, rolling over and scooting my back right up against his chest. He already knows this routine, as do I.
Peeta can’t sleep without the windows open. It’s a habit he struggled with after our first games, something he could just barely manage in times when it was absolutely necessary, like on the Victory Tour or right before the Quarter Quell. He could get by for short periods of time, if it was imperative, sleeping with the windows shut back then. It elicited more nightmares and definitely exacerbated his insomnia, but it wasn’t anywhere near as important as it is now.
Now — since his captivity and torture at the hands of President Snow — Peeta cannot even manage a single night without the windows wide open. Even a few hours of slumber without the cooling breeze, without the physical reminder of freedom and nature and the undeniable fact that he’s here with me and no longer locked in a stuffy cell with bloodstained walls, puts him at risk for violent episodes. Violent episodes and intense confusion and hours of regret after the fact.
We learned that together last winter. We learned how to navigate his needs against the chilling nighttime windstorms Twelve is prone to.
And he learned just how to warm me up when the freezing weather refuses to let me sleep.
“I love you,” he hums, his mouth right against the shell of my ear now, as his body curves completely around mine. His arms enfold me, holding me protectively from behind, his hands rub circles on my stomach and legs, his feet trap mine between his. But that’s not what causes the warm, shivery feeling — the kind of feeling I crave and long for — to run up and down my back.
No, his hums are what does it. His hums, his little murmurs, his sweet nothings and the slight brush of his lips against the shell of my ear are what warms me right up. They’re what sends the intoxicating feeling up and down my spine, what heats me enough to fight off the terribly cold breeze circulating in and around the room.
“I love you, Katniss,” he whispers again after a minute or two, his voice velvet as he very lightly grazes my ear with his teeth. “So much.”
“Love you, Peeta,” I slur, as my lids grow heavy again and sleep overtakes me. “Love you so much.”

Difficult subject, but let's go.
A few weeks ago a friend of mine saw on tiktok some people saying Taylor might have drinking problems, based on some lyrics that mention alcohol, lots of pictures she's drinking in very different moments, and how often this happens when you're this famous for such a long time.
Even though I think it's very complicated - and also problematic - to say something like this after seeing so little of what her real life is, obvioulsy it got me thinking. I worry about her and always pray she's at the best place emotionally & mentally, but we know how tricky it can be with the life she has.
I'm bringing this up bc I feel like this is a very safe space and you're a very grounded person, Sarah, so I'd really like to hear your thoughts about this (even if you say it's something that should not be discussed at all, and why).
Hi! Firstly I just appreciate that you feel safe in this space and I'm really flattered by that thought.
I'll say that tbh this is not a new conversation. It's been circulating for a number of years and has been talked about on/off for awhile. Fun that TikTok is recirculating these topics, though!
I will say that I think there's a whole conversation to be had about how we as a society treat drinking at large. There's something to be said about how we as a whole treat drinking and the excessive indulgence of alcohol as a joke and a norm (wine mom merch is a great example of this). And how the inverse of sobriety is actually the 'weird' choice. And that is a very nuanced and worthwhile topic to have openly about why do we see alcohol in this way? Why and how have we gotten to a point where we can comfortably joke about binge drinking in order to be a functional human?
But alternatively there's a, "Wow you must be fun at parties" vibe to that because truly not every shit post joke language meme needs to be taken so so seriously as if there truly is harm or danger etc.
It's a fine balance!
But that is also the alcohol conversation at large and the tip of the iceberg on my complicated thoughts on that (esp as someone whose relationship with alcohol has also been changing over the last few months as I've been making the active decision to be 'dry' and reevaluate what alcohol means to me).
When it comes to Taylor I genuinely am not concerned that there's a danger or a risk of her having a problem. She enjoys a social drink. She infrequently drinks alcohol (like a lot of well-adjusted, responsible adults) when dealing with stress or tough emotions. And she admittedly went through a horrendously shitty and incredibly dark period in her life that was fraught and tenuous and it comes through in her art. And that’s real and scary and so sad. But I don’t think it got to a truly addictive place. Just dark.

Chapter IX - Losing your temper

You were now completely settled into the motherhood life, and you felt like you were losing your mind.
You denied Minho's request to hire a nanny during the day when he was away, and it went alright at first, but now you regretted it badly and didn't know how to really reapproach the subject without feeling like a failure.
Other mothers are able to take care of their child on their own, so why couldn't you?
You started feeling very overwhelmed, and as usual, your bad coping mechanisms were drowning all your sorrows and pretending the problem is not there, acting completely composed on the outside while breaking on the inside.
Getting Haru to eat became harder, as you had to start introducing him to solids, but you were at least glad he was starting to sleep better during the night, so you managed to get at least 5-6 hours in.
Except for the past 3 nights, because Haru started teething, and was crying non-stop from the pain.
It just so happened that Minho had to be away to film a promotion a few cities over during this horrible period of your life, and you've been alone with the baby getting no rest at all.
You were sick of his crying, and you felt like your head was about to explode, so when Haru started up again, you just felt the need to leave the nursery and just go in the kitchen, away from his sobs, to clear your head.
You cried for a good while, cursing every God in existence, and you felt you were getting bad, all the emotions getting under your skin. You dreaded looking in the mirror and seeing the prominent dark circles under your eyes, you didn't manage to eat anything for the past 2 days, and Minho not coming home meant you've been deprived of all human contact.
It was bad.
You opened your phone and noticed he's been texting, but you quite literally didn't have a moment to yourself to freaking shower.
Whatever, he's going to come back today anyway. You thought, so you instead opened Twitter and started scrolling mindlessly, until something caught your eye.

Enough hate for today. You sighed. You knew fans were saying nasty things about you, calling you all sorts of names ranging from whore, slut, gold-digger, witch and so on. How dare you fall in love with Kibum and have a kid with him, then marry Minho?
They didn't care to understand that you only did it for Haru.
You felt yourself tear up again, but instead, you dissociated and simply watched the front door from the kitchen table with a blank stare.

After 3 long days away from home, Minho finally finished his busy schedule and could come back. He missed Haru a lot, he missed you, but more than anything, he missed resting. These days were so hectic he didn't even know what you were up to. He didn't have time to call, and you stopped replying to his texts a day prior.
He felt overwhelmed from all the stress at work, which was unusual. He's been in the industry for many years and only rarely felt the need to really take a break.
The day went on horribly; everything that could go wrong went wrong. First, he had an emergency meeting with the PR team because dating rumours started circulating between him and his co-star. His reputation already took a hit when he revealed he got married and was caring for Kibum's son, but he didn't care about it. He knew it was going to happen, but Haru's happiness was way more important to him. However, this was different, as it was completely blown out of proportion due to a friendly gesture he did towards a friend.
Whatever, he didn't want to dwell on it. Filming was done, even if it took longer than expected and he didn't get to rest or sleep too much these past days, so he could finally go home.
But then, he started driving home, and someone who didn't see the glaring red light ahead bumped into his car, completely destroying its back. He lost 2 hours waiting for insurance to come and assess the damage, and then had to take an Uber home.
He was supposed to originally get back at 6PM, but it was now well over 9PM and he was cranky, tired, and hungry.
He opened the apartment door only to hear Haru screaming his lungs out, while you leisurely drank a coffee and ate a sandwich at the kitchen table. The house looked like a mess, there were a few things thrown around the place, some half-drunk cups of coffee on the living room table, and a few of Haru's clothes on the sofa.
"Hey." He replied coldly. He didn't want to take it out on you, but what the fuck were you doing?
"Hey. You're back." You replied with a sigh.
"Haru is crying."
"Yea." You nodded. "I can hear him."
"And aren't you going to do anything about it?" He asked, but his tone was almost accusatory, which pissed you off tremendously.
"I will. I just need a break."
"A break? You need a break?" He continued, annoyed.
"Yea. I'm really tired..." You replied, confused by his demeanour. He was normally understanding, so you didn't get where the hostility was coming from.
"You need a break? I'll tell you what, Da-Eun. I fucking need a break. I've worked the whole day, the past few days, actually, and I wanted to come home and rest, not hear the baby cry his heart out while you ignore him, for what, for a nightly snack?! Fucking do something for once."
"Excuse me?" You stared at him in disbelief. "What did you just say to me?"
"What, the crying made you deaf?" He continued. He knew it was wrong, and really didn't want to take it out on you. He was so pissed off, though, and it was hard to contain his anger instead of redirecting it to you, who were there.
"Wow. Okay, sorry I don't do shit while you work sooo hard all day long. Had fun with Hye-ri?" You asked mockingly.
You didn't know why you said that.
It was a low blow, and you knew the scandal didn't hold any truth to it. You said it impulsively.
Minho scoffed. "Don't tell me you believe that bullshit too!"
"I don't. I'm just mad and wanted to get back at you." You affirmed, not wanting to keep fighting him for nothing. It was clear both of you had a couple stressful days, so it was not productive to talk right now.
"Get back at me?! Sooo mature, Da-Eun!"
But why did he keep pushing?
"Can you stop?" You asked him, feeling a couple tears making their way to your bottom eyelids.
"I just can't understand how you can leave him crying like that and simply eat like it's nothing!" He shouted annoyed. "And the house is a freaking mess. I am gone for just 3 days and..." He gestured around him. "Can't you fucking do anything right?"
That was the last drop that overflowed the glass. You felt all the raw emotion pour out of you as you started unloading on Minho everything you felt the past days.
"You know what, Minho? Fuck you! Fuck you for coming back angry and taking it out on me! You think you were the only one with a shitty day?! Haru started teething just as you left and has been crying NON-FUCKING-STOP FOR 3 DAYS STRAIGHT AND NO MATTER WHAT I DID IT DIDN'T WORK. So I finally take a break- after 3 days of no sleep, not showering and not eating- I take a FUCKING break, which all experts advise when you are overwhelmed, by the way, and I come here to get away from his screaming and eat the first thing I could ever since you left – this fucking sandwich!"
You stood up and grabbed the plate and went directly to the trashcan, throwing the sandwich away angrily. You no longer had an appetite. Then, you continued your ranting.
"And THEN, you come back, FINALLY, and instead of being a supportive partner, what do you do? You start fucking screaming at me, basically calling me good-for-nothing, complaining about Haru, about the house. Just 3 days?! Fuck off! I'm fucking sorry I'm such a failure and such a bad mother in your eyes!"
With that, you brushed over Minho and headed to the nursery, tears streaming down your cheeks uncontrollably.
"Da-Eun, wait-" Minho tried to stop you, realising how royally he fucked up, and that he really hurt you.
"If you need a break so fucking bad, then we'll just leave!" You screamed at him again, and as much as you wanted to at least look composed, you were unable to stop the tears.
"No! I don't want you to leave anywhere! This is your home, and-"
"Look, I know I'm failing tremendously, and that Haru isn't happy with me because babies who are happy don't cry all the time, you don't have to remind me!"
"No, I never-"
"I can't do this right now, Minho. I'm fucking overwhelmed, and I don't want to talk to you or see you right now, so let go of me, and leave me alone!" You screamed at him, then went into the room and locked the door behind you.
Haru was still crying, so you picked him up and rocked him, putting a pacifier in his mouth. You were still crying at this point, so you stood down with him and begged him to shut up for once. Of course, he was a baby and had no idea what you were talking about, so he only stopped after about 30 minutes, when you finally put him down in the crib and he fell asleep without much struggle.

Across every culture and throughout every time period, people like giant robots. The Colossus of Rhodes is basically a mecha. The statues constructed outside the pharaoh's tombs were also, basically, mecha. There's something about bigass robots that appeals to a deeply buried part of the human psyche. Maybe there's an evolutionary drive that compels us to want to be able to shake the earth with every stomp. They have to be giant, mind you- lots of people hate the little vacuumers or the waddling trashcans or toasters with feet of the world- But if it's big, humanoid, and very dangerous, it's guaranteed to be popular.

And now, as a self-labeled historian, living in a self-defined "bad future", i can shout this with confidence loud enough for it to echo back through history:
We have mechas now, and they suck. (◑v◐)
Going by the numbers, evaluating them as military assets- they suck. They're stomping, awkward, clumsy piece of equipment, good only for sinking excess budget into at the end of the fiscal year. Probably their biggest issue is their range; Jets can fly to the mission site, and trucks can carry lots of soldiers there, but mechs need to be ferried everywhere by some other piece of equipment- usually trains. And trains need tracks, and tracks are only built along certain common routes... you get the picture.
That problem's then compounded by the fact that almost all modern conflicts take place around the tropics. Lots of rain, heat, moisture, mud, and vegetation. The jungle's inhospitable enough as it is when you're a normal human (+_+)- So how well do you think a giant, rust-able, heavy-as-shit human would fare?
Even if they manage to finish a mission without getting stuck in the ground, (✿◠v◠) the maintenance is a nightmare. Water and dirt and critters can get into every crevice, and they're too goddamn big to tarp over.
So why do we even have them? 乁( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡ °)ㄏ
On one level, I do think the budget-sink explanation is real. We have the money, so why not, right? if we don't spend it, that's money that's not circulating. You might think that that's a stupid reason to build weapons, but you have to remember- the world is run by stupid people, and a lot of them are also manchildren (in a gender-neutral sense).
But the thing is, manchildren are easily distracted and quick to move on. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ So you would think that their enthusiasm for giant robots would wane after the fourth or fifth time they saw their tricked-out hyper-mech fall flat on its face into quicksand.
So why do we even have them?
Mechs fare poorly in war conflict because of environmental factors. When you put them in a different environment, they perform their job quite well. And the conspiracy theorist inside can't be convinced it's an accident that the one environment mechs overperform in is the urban environment. They can quickly reposition on roads using the wheels built into their soles. They can actually take cover because there are buildings big enough for them to hide behind. (✿ ❛‿❛)ξ▄︻┻┳═一 Guerrilla attacks that would devastate infantry are like pinpricks against their armor. And a giant robot standing behind the police line is incredibly intimidating if you're just a protestor trying to find your courage to throw the first stone.

Bullet-proof, closed-circuit, and frightening as hell. The same mechs that do horribly in military service are unstoppable as police assets.
You've probably got the impression by now that i don't like mech fanboys (also gender-neutral), but i'm not feeling much schaudenfreude here. i take no pleasure in telling them that their childhood dream got corrupted a decade ago- turned into more window-dressing for the police state.

Why do you keep ending up in the hospital? Hope you’re okay 😊🥰. Does the nursing staff comment on you needing to be diapered/change your diapers?
I have seizures that sometimes needs medical attention fast. My epilepsy is under control with better medication today, but they can still happen in certain situations.
I have had a severe head trauma in 2005 where I got very lucky to survive. But it messed up several things in my body like my immune system, neck problems, migraines, and lymphatic malfunction among nervous system failures.
No doctor knows precisely WHAT might be the cause of myalgic encephalomyelitis (known as chronic fatigue syndrome) in my case. It could be the result of the general anxiety disorder that keeps my body overwhelmed and overstimulated (autism). It could be the head trauma. It could be epstein-barr virus, or that streptococcus infection I had several years before ME/CFS started.
Today, hospitals are part of my time every week with many followups for multiple conditions: epilepsy, autism, urinary infections, digestive problems, abnormalities in blood tests, high blood pressure, heart problems that often makes arythmia, followup of a congenital birth defect in my left lung that might cause eventual problems, and very bad blood circulation that is causing me to develop blood clots (especially in the right leg with quite big varicose veins that I try to hide in my pictures since 2017).
That’s why I end up so often in hospitals and in physical therapy and kinesitherapy. I guess I am lucky to be alive, but at the price of big health challenges all the time. I try to stay strong, but I often needs a bit of help.🙈🏥
I forgot to answer the diaper part in hospitals with nurses and doctors. 🙈
The nurses are much more used than we think, ppls of every age wearing diapers. They are used to see me in diapers because I have always been wearing them. The funny part for me is that I don’t care about using the word diaper without any discretion in public while they are trained to be respectful and discreet, avoiding to say diapers, but call them protective underwear or undies.
It’s unfortunate that most, if not all the hospitals are stuck with Tena, which aren’t terrible in North America. Too thin, too cheap, leaks all the time, and generates a lot more work for the nurses because they have to change the diapers more often, and often need to change the bed liner, and the bedsheets when the bed liner was not placed properly or failed, and the gown too!
That’s the other fun part. I can’t remember how many times the nurses and even doctors were amazed by the quality of my diapers. Some say nothing. Some ask me how they work (M4/L4, MegaMax and Tykables are 3 different types for example). Some nurses asked me where I got these amazing “diapers”. I don’t talk much, but they got my attention and I feel like I became a diaper expert after all these years. I see how they are exploring them. I see they are mostly impressed compared to Tena. At least 2 doctors, 3 nurses and 2 specialists took notes because they said: “my son is like you and he’s autistic. He will like the cool prints!”, “I know someone who could be interested.”, “I’ll take a look!” , “I will talk about it to the administration.” , “I visit patients at their home too, and this is a great product!”.
Believe me, this is not a fantasy, it’s what I witnessed myself, even in front of my parents and my bf. I was not humiliated at all because diapers are normal for me at the same time I like them. When I was younger, the Pampers and Attends Youth were normal and known. The things changed when I was put in M4, and than, eventually wearing new cool good ones that keeps popping on the market periodically.
The only humiliation for me is when I ended up diapered in a Tena for the rare times I ran out of diaper supply and by the time someone brings me some more from home. My obsession for doing the tapes perfectly aligned (like my mom always did) was a problem when nurses did diaper me. They all did their job perfectly well! But most of the time, I reposition the tapes once they are gone.🙈
I never been asked by any nurse WHY I wear diapers. It happened in hospitals where doctors don’t know me at all, or they don’t have my medical files from my local hospital. When they ask, I simply tell “because I am incontinent.” Sometimes, there were no question number two. If they ask why I am incontinent, than I give a basic answer: “because I have several medical conditions.” Like what? Surprisingly, no doctors ever gone that far in their questions.
So, that’s pretty much my story about diapers vs nurses. One question I have in mind that I never really asked anyone before. I know my own story, but I’d like to hear from others. Yes, I am systematically being changed by nurses, unless I tell them I will be fine to do it myself. If I am having an appointment only, nobody changes my diapers if I need it because I can do it, I am not on a stretcher or a hospital bed, which is totally fine. Is this because I have autism and chronic fatigue syndrome? Or is it the same for everyone else?

Guys? I think I had my flux capacitor moment from Back to the Future.
When Doc Brown was standing on his toilet or something, and fell or hit his head, he came up with the concept of the flux capacitor, through which time travel is possible. The flux capacitor is what enables the channeling of 1.21 Gigawatts of electricity (one bolt of lightning), to create the energy needed to tear a hole in space/time, to visit other points in time.
But my flux capacitor moment is on mental health.
Americans tend to think by creating a drug like Ozempic or Advil, you've done something phenomenal. You're always making these treatments that address symptoms, but never address the root cause of illnesses. If your neck/wrist or something hurts, taking an Advil to suppress the nerve pain, makes no sense. It's a quick way to make money, but it's not a solution. You need to strengthen the muscles around the neck or increase blood flow or just give it a massage to accomplish this.
The problem with drugs like Ozempic/Zepbound? What does it do? Their apparent genius is this ridiculous complicated slowing of peristalsis and digestion. It gives you the feeling of feeling full so that you don't eat. WOW! That's what a $1000 drug will do for you. The best these guys can do is "make you "feel" full" by making you eternally constipated and risking stomach paralysis. ***

Mental health!
So as always, let me give some background info to paint a picture:
At the onset of my SITUATION, it was coinciding with me taking an ADD stimulant drug, called Vyvanse. It is a legal extended release amphetamine, covered by health insurance for those who have it, and prescribed by a treating doctor. Some people taking it, report, feeling enhanced… But, when "I" took it? I felt normal. For one thing, my veins were thicker vs my spindly spiders web veins now, and circulation was respectable.  When I took the stimulant, I didn't feel stimulated. I felt I attained what I've been after my whole life. In effect, I was blind and I could see.
Currently, when I look at something, I need to give it a few seconds for my brain to register what I'm seeing and (listening to/vs. "hearing"). Let’s say I want to verify my pants pockets are empty, before doing laundry. That feeling of emptiness doesn’t register, when sedated and maybe without a stimulant for me, either (I can't remember after being shocked 20 times). It’s like a computer without enough RAM. You might've heard of laptops with 16 GB RAM/32 GB RAM. When you give it more memory, it works faster. When I got Vyvanse, instantly, my pockets felt empty. My processing power increased or I became normal for whatever "normal" is for me, as difficult American doctors I've run into, don't get that every individual and what's normal for them, is different.
Now, currently, because of my mind reading/mind control situation, I'm forced to comply through meds, and because there's another stupid group that thinks I'm paranoid in a paranoid setting without testing for it by removing the paranoid setting, I’m treated with the opposite set of drugs; sedating drugs, which worsen my poor processing power condition. Compared to anytime before in my life, I have to leave my hands in my pockets for a few seconds, than a second, to register that the pockets are in fact empty- I guess I’m slow that way.-Or my body’s faster than my brain - I notice I walk a lot faster than usual people dragging themselves.
Other thing noticed, when consuming A LOT OF sugary foods/carbs, it gives my brain the processing power that something, like an amphetamine, as Vyvanse gives me.
It makes sense. Vyvanse uses the energy reserves from your adrenal glands. Sugar is energy for the brain. Carbs are simple and complex, sugars and starch, that add to your body's energy supply.
Recently, I posted pics of a steak, some waffles, and an egg sandwich. I actually cooked two steaks. We Indians, don't consume at typical American portions. How you survive off of a turkey sandwich with mayonnaise, a chicken caesar salad, or a single palm sized steak, is beyond me. The beef curry my mom makes, in its cubed pieces, amounts to twice the amount of a steak. Americans say eat one cup of rice. We probably eat 2-3 cups of rice. Now regarding the food I cooked, my reason for cooking it was because I was bored, and I figured I'd show a likable/relatable side to Twitter. But after making all that food, I ate it. I ate it, because I could, I ate it because I can. Yeah I know, it sound like Dr. Seuss. I eat, or can eat, without consequence, like Goku or Vegeta from Dragon Ball. Prior to antipsychotics like Zyprexa or any of them, I don't gain weight. I don't get Diabetes or Cholesterol. My brain needs all that nutrition to keep up with, what I call: "my willful self." What do I mean by "willful self?" I'll elaborate as I continue below. That food intake was maybe 1.5 weeks ago. Haven't gained a pound. I'm not even sure how I have the room for it. Because of the sedating drugs for mind control, I'm forced take a weight loss drug called Zepbound. I've still managed to consume all that, and I felt right, not like I couldn't move. Probably because my brain is active and I need energy.
Now, I hated my SITUATION and protested it, and complained to the police, and sought help from family, because its terms and conditions, was something that was going to make me sicker. I mentioned I was blind and could suddenly see with Vyvanse. To have sight taken back from you, with opposite drugs that sedate you, you just end up asking what more, what else? The orchestrators of my situation wanted to take away my energy, by sedating me, to get me to believe that nothing was transpiring.
Now I mentioned something called "the willful self." What if the major takeaway of mental illness -the obvious point that took years for the others to realize- is that it’s sourced in a misalignment of the: 1. conscious mind, 2. the brain, 3. and the body.
That's right. The idiot orchestrators like to advertise that your brain is a computer. I'm not sure if I should indicate otherwise. I kind of have a knife to my neck. I like to know what I'm dealing with, before opening my mouth or reacting.
Here's the scary thing. Maybe some of you have read my blog post about you as a chariot driver, and your emotions and commitments as the horses that move the chariot.

So Again, There's 3 parts:
There is the willful self. For some of you, this is not to be demeaning, but a sad fact: it's limited to the decision making part of your executive functioning, associated with the frontal cortex of your brain. For other's, the willful self is the soul or the seat of the soul.
Then, there is the brain.
And, there is the body.
There's something disturbing I'm noticing about many of you. American culture is so focused on gratification, lack of restraint, and "doing what you feel" PRIMARILY, you violate the Biblical concept of spirit and body. I assure you, ITS NOT HOCUS POCUS, RELIGIOUS GOBBLTY GOOK. It's why you're prone to shooting each other, and carelessly building planes and trains, a quarter or the millennium in, in contrast to the 1950s/1960s. While this phenomena is happening with your lives, you're also succumbing to legally allowed marijuana type drugs and whatever illegal, that's available.
In the Bible, Galations 5:17 says: For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
In the Bible, it also says in Matthew 10:28: "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell."
These two quotes are what creates the willful self or the conscious mind or the chariot driver. The two quotes are what serves as the basis for the conscious mind. The division between the desire of your body, and the morals you acquire (which hinder you from always attending to your desire; abstaining/fasting) is what constitutes the conscious mind. For a lot of you, in this degradation of culture and times, your chariot driver is limited to the will power/decision making part of the frontal cortex of your brains. You're doing stupid things on the news and not extrapolating..., in all due respect, as some of you will instinctively react, these events, are, in part due to this.
Now, Let’s say your brain cannot focus.
Your willful self, grown/nurtered throughout your life, keeps trying to focus, but cannot, without coffee or some stimulant. That is because your conscious willful self is faster than your brain.
When the body is faster than the brain, a visual OCD occurs. When the mind is faster than the conscious mind, delusions occur. When consciousness is faster than the brain, ADD occurs, because your willful decision making self, which I’m calling the soul, is thinking, or scatter-brained or indecisive... an amphetamine stimulant lets the brain keep up with the speed of your conscious mind and helps break you out of a thought loop or "lost in thought" sensation and into "time to do something about it"….
Now some of you have a poorly trained conscious mind. There's no way I can break that down or make it sound nice. It has to do with that Galatians quote. Read it again.
So what's another way, where ADD can occur. If your sense of self is weak, or you don't have much of a willful self from aforementioned reasons,
Your impulses are faster than your brain can take. In which case, ADHD can occur. These are my Two takes on lack of focus.
So how can this be addressed:
Schizophrenia and ADD are two opposite sides of a spectrum. Through the regulation of metabolism, both can be controlled.
A vegetarian diet accommodates slow digestion. It gives someone with a slow digestion, the benefits of a fast metabolism, where all that digestive energy or processing power, gets redirected to the brain. You'll notice those who are athletic, and coincidentally with a fast metabolism, are smart or, at least, sharp people.
American psychiatric drugs? They further slow digestion, partcularly with American diet favoring pizzas, steaks, hamburgers, hard to digest foods. American psychiatric drugs slow cognition. Not getting stimulation of sunlight also slows the brain. I know this how?
The drug Lexapro has a particular side effect to white light stimuli. It makes you light sensitive to that color light or sunlight. It ends up stimulating you if you look at such light for 10 min or more.
Whatever be the cause, if there are factors that slow digestion or ultimately slow the brain, it results in the brain being unable to keep up with conscious self, which gives ADD. You then need to speed up the mind, but orchestrators of my SITUATION, "doing their thing," nullify my efforts at speeding up brain/increasing my computer's RAM, or speeding up my processing power. For those with a less developed conscious self, coming from a collective projection of the total brain, (No, I'm not saying some of you are retarded), The facet of your brain: your impulsive side, is stronger and more craving, than the load your brain can take. So in effect, your brain, also, is not moving fast enough, to keep up with your impulses.
Now I said you need to regulate metabolism to control ADD and schizophrenia.
If you speed up the metabolism, brain is faster/has more processing power, but if conscious self has no morals, nothing to ground you, your sharp brain can drive you insane, or you end up experiencing the symptoms associated with schizophrenia. Let's assume, I'm hearing an auditory delusion no one else can. What's to say it's different from any other noise, or listening to music while you work? What if you could focus through the noise? What if you could tune out the auditory sounds? That's why a strong sense of self is needed in such a setting. If you slow metabolism-> in the sense of the three alignments of willful self, brain, and body, it slows down the brain, and may help someone with an overly stimulated mind, settle down, or less reactive to a delusion. Think about it form the perspective of a starving schizo. Usually they're depicted as violent. If they don't have the energy from food or drink, will they be as aggressive as with food and water. They just don't have the fuel. Probably why psychiatric drugs directly or indirectly slow metabolism which has a direct causal connection to the sharpness of your brain.
Now OCD stems from a body operating faster than your brain, despite the best efforts of the conscious self to suppress its urges. To address it, you need to find a way to relax the body. But how do you go about that...it doesn't make sense to do it through the route of metabolism. If your metabolism is fast and your mind is sharp, you'll aggressively repeat compulsions. If your metabolism is slow, you'll lose the processing power of your brain to recall whether you checked something properly, and that leads to doubt, and that also leads to compulsion. The solution has to be through blood flow. When you get a massage or do a headstand, blood flow is better. You may feel less anxiety overall, and if relaxation can be taken one more level up, it can be enough to suppress OCD symptoms through a vasodilator, where the nerves in your brain can send the signals they send, at the strength they send, to the places they send, in a non deteriorating way. Like a telephone line or a strong signal between two phones. If your nerves are relaxed and calmly talking to each other, then you're calm and level headed to see what you do, clearly, to remember, what you do, clearly. You check if your door's locked? You see it. You register it. You remember it. Perhaps what stimulants do, in terms of these signals, they send a tidal wave. The tidal wave is strong in the beginning, which is what caused stimulation. But as it continues and ebbs and flows, the effect of the signal becomes weak. Over time, this becomes an unreliable way of two phones communicating. It would be like everyone talking loudly in the beginning in a deafening way, and then everyone trying hard to hear each other. If your nerves signals aren't able to hear each other, it could cause anxiety. Relaxation and blood flow and vasodilators can be a way to submit a steady nerve signal, eliminating obsessions/compulsions, on a physical level. You may also require some mental guidance (or the cr*p psychotherapy I don't respect), or some self confidence or "not care" attitude. When I go to India, a lot of times, to be blunt, the bathrooms aren't like in the U.S. There is no tub, there is no shower. What is there is a bucket, a shower cup, a faucet, where you're squatting on a floor. You feel dirty, but then, what can you do, you shrug it off, accept the quality of bathing you get, move on. Acceptance is what I'm getting at. But that's choice you have to make.
Schizophrenia/ADD are about metabolism regulation.
Bipolar disorder requires a lot of self discipline, impulse control, restraint. This seems to be more about action vs. medicine. But by teens, might need Lithium or something. But here meditation, prayer, fasting can help, but Americans are more likely to try Lithium.

OCD= blood flow/circulation/relaxing of body. Could benefit from muscle relaxers like "Flexeril" (though the medicine, by nature, isn't recommended long term). Other ways to increase circulation, spend extra energy, is through exercise. But in modern lifestyle, can't depend on people to reliably and consistently exercise, no matter how much you recommend. Next aspect is sleep. I feel less OCDish, when I sleep less, (natural tiredness/normally from serotonin reuptake, which really should come from serotonin addition like more than one cup of rice.) Sleep regulation, for some: 6 hours suffices, others 9 hours, wrong amount upsets the brain balance of neurotransmitters. On sleep, a potent muscle relaxant that can be taken like Flexeril, gives you an after-massage relaxing sensation, that aids with mental health side/as well as sleep.

Mental health is a big concern in the modern day, not because of the hippy flowery notions like awareness of mental illness. Mental health is a concern because of modern lifestyle changes. Think about it from this basic sense: If people were shooting each other, at the level of smaller populations, 100s or 1000s of years ago, it would be a sign they were not mentally strong enough to survive to the present day. Physical labor/exercise, would've thickened veins, increased circulation, spent energy, made you stronger to have higher energy reserves which then lessen anxiety, when people had to hunt food/when lives constantly in danger <- all happening in an unquestioned/never thought about balance. =By which I mean your exercising, your eating, you're using your gains to make more gains, over come weaknesses, eliminate threats... OCD wouldn't be an issue if you're already going through h*ll, because you wouldn't care about dying from not washing your hands or whatever.
Before people started eating Nature Valley Bars and smoothies, they were eating salty meats, eggs, forms of carbs. Salt increases blood pressure and increases heart rate, eggs give energy for processing power, carbs like rice give serotonin-sometimes you need that snicker bar or orange juice bottle for a brain sugar boost... & Exercise/physical labor, prevents it all from killing you with diabetes and cholesterol and heart disease type issues. Sunlight stimulates you, heat back in Africa/India gets the blood flowing. Need lots of fluids as people are now consciously realizing. Fluids increase blood volume, may increase vein size, prevents hypotension.
"Life is out of balance" for several reasons. Modern lifestyles, whether you're a newscaster, a programmer, you need innovative ways, like pills, to give the same effects of natural foods and movements to deliver stronger minds.
We need some form of epinephrine to stimulate the heart, because you can't count on people to do cardio regularly every day.
We need a vasodilator like beta blockers to increase blood flow.
We need something that reduces blood pressure like an alpha blocker.
Need something to regulate metabolism. *******

A good heart rate (maybe with drug "Carvedilol"), good blood blood pressure, solid blood flow (vasodilator effect maybe with drug "Carvedilol") , a means to metabolize glucose in stabile manner, in a modern lifestyle that goes against all four, gives us the benefits of our ancestors. And heart rate/blood flow, if already high heart rate, there's narrowing of veins, narrow blood flow. If drink coffee or exposed to sunlight (for light sensitive people), further narrowing of veins and restriction of blood flow causes the tiredness associated with my coffee drinking.

Misalignment of willful self, brain, body=mental illness
Now I'm a zombie at time of writing this. I'm like something set in motion, and I'm aware of it happening. I'm probably equivalent to a dead version of me where you can electrically stimulate my brain to see memories/understand thoughts.) My chariot driver seat has been compromised, if you recall what I said at beginning of this post. I'm kind of like a chariot driver, in a chariot, who lost control of the reigns, and now the horses are running wild, taking the chariot along with it.
Now this is coming from the zombie-instigated-sedated mind of the fast body of 250 lb me, capable of doing a pull up, at a rate of 220 lb. Big numbers, but by arm strength, I need to add 30 lbs to an assisted pull up to do pull up, which is basically removing 30 lbs, so that I can do a regular pull up, at a rate of 220 lbs.
What I'm getting at it, with so many weird things happening in my life, I can test my theories, but I assure you, there's three parts to you. 1. Whatever composes your willful self 2. Your brain. 3. Your body
So what’s established?
There is a soul. This is the willful self, or a weak form of it if not attended to as in: Galations 5:17. (I really don't mean to sound all religious-y. I find the stories very meaningful and useful. There's a reason you worry about someone who can destroy your soul, and thereby sending you to hell, assuming hell is a state of mind. Without your willful self, the chariot driver, your body, is essentially, in h*ll)
There is Book of Life/Judgement that someone will use to see one’s life from start to finish. If someone can see memories or thoughts, then your whole life can be seen at the Pearly Gates.
Christs’ Golden Rule, from which all follows…everything from news, Britt’s speech, 212f immigration, abortion and brainwaves, It comes down to "interpret the law rather than taking things word for word"

Desire is not bad, it’s about how you go about it
Sin is an action committed by the willful self. Willfully abusing someone/something/or self.
Attachment/desire - it’s all about focus. A mind that has focus, has purpose, can do anything. A form of mind reading can occur by projecting a bunch of assumptions at someone and see which emotions they react with. This could be so that someone takes my chariot driver seat and steer left, in my mental car, when I want to steer right. Operating off wrong GPS. What I"m saying is in theme of "Just because you have my sword, doesn't mean you can wield it like I do."

On another note: With the weird things I see on the news, like all the scary stories about planes, weekly shootings, fist fights in Congress, ... all the way down to mind reading/mind control I can't help but be the nerd who feels he clearly entered an alternate reality. With things seen on news, like with Katie Britt's speech, People are in such a rush to speak mind that they're not listening to content but looking to inflict bias.
On a larger scale, Insinuations, and minor discrepancies in detail, shouldn’t matter, in comparison to overall point/getting gist of a message. Clinicals were a little scary at the beginning and of course being in the OR is just a whole world of its own and can be overwhelming at first so try to keep in mind that you’re gonna feel a little out of place at first and that’s ok! You’re gonna see crazy and amazing things, what the body actually really looks like on the inside and all the ins and outs of the before, during and after of a surgery and it’s a lotttt but it will all start to make sense as you go and you’ll get more comfortable as you go!
I’m thinking about tips to give you and just remembering one of my instructors saying “try and be a sponge” lol so soak in as much as you can and jotting down notes when you can will be super important! I would bring a small notepad or at the very least always have a pen on you to write down cases you’re in and what’s being done, even small details or suggestions you receive, there’s gonna be a lot of info flying at you and it’s just a good way to keep some of that organized and having notes to look back helps when you’re tired and trying to process everything you’ve done and seen at the end of the day
At first this will be hard cause it’s all new but in the same sphere of note taking I would always try and write down what’s being done or what I think is being done during a surgery cause you’ll see later than when you start to understand what the surgeon is doing it’s easier to then anticipate what will be needed next and along with that it’s totally ok to ask questions about what is being done on/in the body, it’ll show that you’re curious and engaged with what’s going on!
Always being extra snacks too, I would keep a stash of granola bars/fruit snacks/whatever snack you like in your bag especially during the first few weeks of clinicals as you get used to being at the hospital and on your feet for long periods of time and it’s just good habit to get into cause even now that I’ve graduated and am working as a surgical tech when I find moments to go to the bathroom or eat something real quick I definitely take them!
Another tip I would give is to try and offer to help with setting up as much as you can especially in your first few weeks and helping your circulating nurse or helping wherever you can or are allowed but also knowing when it’s best to stay out of the way, that’s always a bit tricky trying to find that line of like I’m here and I’m learning and starting to put into practice what I’ve learned but at times there won’t always be moments or surgeries you’ll be in that are best for teaching and you just kinda have to roll with it and take what you can from it
Oh another thing! You’re gonna be with many preceptors and around a lot of people, especially surgeons, who have big personalities and have certain ways they do things, certain hospital policies can be different too but always try and stick to and refer back to what you’ve been taught cause your instructors want to see that you’re doing things by the book and by taught techniques and what’s best practice, not everyone that’s gonna be training you is gonna do things as they should so sticking to the basics of what you know will help you navigate that!
One last thing I can think of is seeing if you can take pictures of different table set ups for the surgeries you see, that was helpful for me to have an actual visual of it because it’s not always easy to recall from memory the best way to set up a table when you’re first starting out and of course I’m sure you’ve heard this a million times already but set things up the same way every time!
