It would appear that just about every writer has the near exact same mental layout of the Janeway Farmhouse.

in the discourse landscape of gay shipping I think a crucial element is the underdog effect. official approval of your ship from showrunners (ie ship going canon) compromises your marginal status as a fandom shipper on tumblr, and in the long run produces a sore winner subjectivity where you must constantly insist that your ship is still good and subversive. destiel is a good edge case as it went canon in the most homophobic way possible, thus maintaining something of an underdog status despite it being explicitly addressed in the text of supernatural, while still ultimately losing its fandom dominance as evidenced by it constantly losing in shipping polls. ofmd shippers in this respect occupy a conflict of class interests in which their gay canonicity confers a level of comfort and stability that gay shippers who have to work in the posting mines doing web weaves will never experience. therefore, we can consider ofmd shippers to be the petit bourgeoisie of the fandom ecosystem, caught between the big bourgeoisie (tv writers) and the proletariat (stuckys), predictably choosing to engage in downwards class conflict to maintain their narrowly privileged status

Recently rediscovered my love of voyager and wanted to go back and reread some of the fandom greats. I’ve devoured the ones you have on ao3 (all wonderful btw) and was hoping you have plans to add lisaof9’s sometime in the future. I’d love to have another read of ‘She who hesitates is lost’.

Femalash February Day 9- Coworker or Role Swap alternate universe

Nature Wives (Katherine x Shubble), Empires SMP 1

Katherine stepped back, looking at the small home she made in the hill. It wasn’t much, but it was a good start. All she needed was somewhere to rest and while she started up a farm, after all. Speaking of which, she needed to gather seeds before anything else.

She turned around, and locked eyes with someone hiding in the treeline. They screamed, which made Katherine scream. They then ran away.

“W- wait!” Katherine ran after the stranger, “it’s okay!”

The stranger didn’t respond, so Katherine focused on chasing them through the woods. She grew up near a forest, so she could navigate run through trees better than anyone. The stranger was slowing down to avoid running into trees, which meant Katherine could gain on them.

Eventually, she managed to grab their hand.

They turned back to face Katherine, a look at panic on their face.

“Hey, you’re okay. Just, uh, how about we come back to my place?” Katherine offered.

They nodded. “Um, okay. Sure.”

Once they were in the little home Katherine had made, she sat down on the couch. The stranger stayed standing, wringing their hands nervously.

“We started off on the wrong foot, so let me introduce myself. The name is Katherine Blossom, nice to meet you!” Katherine smiled as welcomingly as she could.

“I’m… I’m Shelby,” the stranger replied, extending her hand, which Katherine happily shook. Shelby was notably taller than Katherine, with pointed ears and golden eyes and long brown hair, which was braided down her back. She had yellow wings sprouting from her back, which fluttered slightly, and wore a light green summery dress. She was some sort of fae, and unfairly pretty. “Nice to meet you, Katherine.”

Katherine stood up, getting an idea. “You hungry? I don’t have much but I can make some soup. I can make a killer mushroom stew.”

Shelby smiled. “Yeah, that sounds nice.”

Katherine went to grab a bowl and turn on the furnace. “So, what exactly were you doing in the trees?”

Shelby was quiet for a moment, fidgeting awkwardly with her dress. “I was on a walk and heard some noise and I… I saw you and,” her face flushed pink, “I got distracted just watching you work.”

Katherine chuckled. “I see. Well, since you’re here, after we eat would you like to help me set up a farm?”

“Sure! If you’d like, I could come by tomorrow with seeds.”

“I’d love that.” Katherine couldn’t stop smiling. So new to this world and she’d already made a friend. She bet her village would be proud.

* Drogon flies all the way to Westeros after he leaves Danserys in the Dothraki Sea, and meets an ice Queen in need of saving.

The Witcher (Tissaia / Yennefer)

1. Ciri is Tissaia’s child of surprise, not Geralt’s. When it comes time for her to accept this, she seeks out assistance from the only powerful mage she knows that wants children, Yennefer.

2. Tissaia comes back to speak with Yennefer while she is still in Rhinde. She has found a possible cure for Yennefer’s barrenness.

3. Yennefer is the daughter of a king at of the Northen Kingdoms, that falls in love with her father’s mage, Tissaia de Vries.

4. Yennefer is doused with a lust potion gone wrong by the older classmates at Aretuza. She will lose her mind unless she sleeps with someone, but the idiots that doused her didn’t take her elven blood into account, and instead of a lust spell, she can only be satisfied by her truest match—her soul mate. Tissaia does not sleep with students. Even ones she’s fated to. But to save Yennefer’s life she will. But only if she and Yennefer never remember what’s happened.

5. Time travel write up for season 4. Yennefer goes back in time with the help of the monolith book to save Tissaia. But it’s like the butterfly effect. And Tissaia keeps dying.

* Hermione Granger and Fleur Delacour found family. After the war, Bill dies in an accident, and Hermione and Ron have divorced. Two single mothers come together to lament their troubles and losses.

* Fleur realizes that Hermione is her true mate when she arrives hurt at the cottage after Malfoy Manner or being mates.

* Forced Marriage trope - repopulating wizarding England stipulates that all eligible and child baring women must marry. Except, it seems, Hermione Granger, who is protected under French Ministry law as she is the Delacour heir’s fated mate.

* Tanya has been looking for her mate for over a thousand years. She’s finally found them.
