The Proposal

Most women can’t wait for the man of their dreams to get down on one knee and say those magical words...”Will you marry me?”  *swoon*

What does a man mean when he gets down on one knee? He trusts you, he loves you, he’s opening up to you; he is showing how vulnerable he is!

What is “The Proposal” about now? How fancy it can be? How big the ring is? How many likes it will get on Facebook and Instagram? This is the reality of today’s times. It’s turned into a superficial show.

How can we turn this around and express our true femininity? How can we bring the balance? How can we express our Goddess being?

Answer: get down with him. YES! He’s down on one knee looking up at you. Instead of looking down at him giving your answer, get down on your knees and join him. Let him know that he’s not beneath you, you’re not above him, but instead you’re WITH him...eye to eye. This action speaks volumes. It lets him know that you appreciate and accept his vulnerability. It shows that you will always support him and be with him during tough times. You both are starting a bond together, why not be on the same page...the same level!

I did a #femininefridaysketch This one is up for sale for $35. Pencil drawing on 8.5x10 Card stock. It’s got a story. I was drawing it on the Metro. I was happy with it but didn’t finish. Got to work and put it in my sketchbook for safe keeping. Set the sketchbook on my desk. Started making my coffee and accidentally tipped and spilled the coffee on my sketchbook. My sketchbook and drawing got stained with coffee. Still, after work, on my way home, I finished the drawing, coffee stain and all. This drawing now has a history and a connection to my life.
