Summary: Seeing Sirius at the bar, Remus tries his luck with a pick-up line.

“Buy you another?”

Sirius looked up from his drink and saw a man standing next to him at the bar. The man was very attractive. But Sirius simply shrugged uninterestedly.

“Come on,” the man pressed. “It’s a free drink and you look lonely.”

Before Sirius could open his mouth, another man walked to the other side of where Sirius was sitting. This man was tall, lanky and dressed as though he worked in a bookshop in the 1980s. He wore corduroy trousers, a wool cardigan and had a smile on his face that made Sirius’s heart flutter.

“Hi,” he said, clearing his throat. “Uh... I was just wondering,” he said, a little awkwardly. “Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?”

Sirius leaned closer to the man and inhaled a sweet scent of wood and grass. “Why,” he said, grinning. “Are you saying that heaven is missing an angel?”

The first man behind him scoffed audibly and exclaimed, “You have to be kidding me!”

Sirius turned and shrugged at the man again. “Sorry,” he said, simply. The man rolled his eyes before walking away.

Sirius turned back to the man next to him who was laughing as the bartender poured out a drink in front of him. “Rem, that’s the best you could come up with?” Sirius asked his husband, also laughing.

“Hey,” said Remus, raising his glass. “It worked, didn’t it? I’m the one who is taking you home tonight.”

Summary: Keeping his relationship with Sirius a secret is beginning to wear on Remus.

Remus looked up into a familiar pair of grey eyes across the common room, and shared a secret smile with Sirius.

Classes were over and Remus wanted nothing more than to collapse next to Sirius and seek the warmth of his arms, no matter who saw.

In the beginning, the secret had been fun. There had been a thrill in the stolen kisses when no one was watching, carefully listening for the dormitory door to shut behind James and Peter before leaving the warmth of Sirius’s bed, holding Sirius’s hand under the dinner table and eating one-handed.

Lately it had begun to wear on Remus.

He didn’t want to sit like this and feel the few metres between him and Sirius stretch an eternity. He didn’t want to...

Oh.

Oh, no.

No.

He most certainly did not want to watch Caradoc sodding Dearborn sit next to Sirius and lay a hand on Sirius’s arm.

Remus saw nothing but red.

In a heartbeat, he had crossed the room. Ignoring Sirius’s startled face and the curious eyes of everyone around them, he pulled Sirius close to him, taking a moment to inhale the familiar scent of leather and wood. His urgent mouth met Sirius’s in a heated kiss, his arms tightening around the curve of Sirius’s waist as he tilted his head and tasted his sweet breath.
